Though I can compare it to some BL'S like THE BEST STORY where the BL portion of the program did not meet a satisfactory conclusion. Or I CANNOT REACH YOU that involves 2 Best Friends one harboring a crush and the other oblivious but I CANNOT REACH YOU did reach a satisfactory conclusion.

Back To My STRAWBERRY FILM this was a coming of age or maybe a story of self discovery more than it was a BL.

Good one though with Minami mother being in love with a female classmate. A classmate that is a teacher now but does that make this GL..decidedly no.

This story was missing something...oh I know it was the story. This was barely cohesive storytelling leaving viewers (or just me) confused. Did Ryo (FUKADA RYUSEI) confess to Hikaru (YABANA REI) on the stairs or get rejected? I mean that's what I thought I saw but this series left me drained. The slow burn, the lack of storytelling and the less than satisfying end.

I can say 2 good things came from this for me.

YOSHIDA MIZUKI as Chika. She was beautiful and amazing and delivered the best performance out of all.

And 2 was FUKADA RYUSEI because he has an amazing amount of potential. Given a good script and director he could be a huge star in any genre but I'd definitely like to see him in a JAPANESE BL.

I'll be honestly I'd go on a long car ride with any of the characters minus the KEEL guys bc I think it'd be fun, utter chaos, or both

Who I'd put in charge of music? Probably kiryu, nirei, umemiya, and hiragi (only bc I think he'd play dad rock) [bonus: I'd trust tsugeura the least with music LMAO]

Who I'd put in charge of gps/directions? hiragi. he'd get us to our destination safely, nirei is a close second tho [bonus: I'd trust suo, endo/chika, togame, and umemiya the least with directions. The first three bc I know those bastards would get us lost on purpose, togame bc he'd read the directions off too slow and make us miss a turn, and umemiya bc he'd get us lost but on accident]

UM!! this got long I must apologize. I was avoiding posting for a while bc I was like genuinely who gaf about all this. but then I remembered I can do whatever I want on my blog and additionally u did ask me this. (thrice) (I avoided it the first time and the second time) (sorry)

OK SO. upon starting to all sleep in the same bed we had to experiment a lot to find an arrangement that works, but it varies night by night based on chika’s preferences mostly. he is the one who will unknowingly decide if endo and I actually sleep well that night after all— he gets warm easily and will throw you off him if he’s not comfy. and… you might get a palm to the face if he can feel your breath tickling him. it’s just a gamble! anyway.

though sleeping in the middle would be ideal (because yay lovers on each side of me), I like being able to easily get out of bed without having to crawl over someone or to the end of the bed. and I don’t really like to separate them unless chika is being extra unreasonable. (many such cases)

with chika in the middle, there are pros and cons….he is usually the last to get out of bed so it’s fine, but he sometimes feels really uncomfortable being between us because we might both accidentally cling to him in our sleep and he gets way too warm and feels squished. also endo and I miss each other :’) lol

endo in the middle is usuallyyyy the route we go, because he is the clingiest of the three and can turn over to me if chika throws him off in the night. and if I happen to push him off too (I also get warm easily) then at least he is still sandwiched between us. plus if he wants to be turned to chika’s side I can still be big spoon >:) I look like a backpack on him LOL

endo moves around a lot in his sleep and is an unintentional blanket hogger. sleeps genuinely like a fucking rock and snores and sleep talks a bit too. chika is pretty still but moves around if he’s dreaming. like. really sudden movements. he also struggles with insomnia sometimes. he’ll get up and go try to sleep in a different room if endo is being too noisy.

WAS TENSED BRO same feeling when you enter an empty room newly unlocked by your teacher. i used to do some music production/composition a while back so i’ve thought at length about aquors music production and i’ve got a shit ton of headcanons so here

obviously Riko is like head composer

she starts everything on the piano cause that’s completely realistic it’s her thing

she catches on to digital production p quick and later Mari helps her out

cause of Mari composing for the original Aquors and her money Mari is super good and fluent using a couple of different DAWs

Riko and Mari make every noise digitally except drums (most of the time) and the really complex guitar parts in certain songs (read: Guilty Kiss)

Chika can actually play the drums super well

all her excess genki really translates really well to just smashing away on a drum set so using a recording studio at Mari’s place and also a drum set from Mari they record Chika’s drumming

some songs they don’t want a real drum kit for or Chika can’t sit through a full recording so they just use a digital kit

but the guitar is a mystery

Riko swears that most of the guitar parts are actually from someone playing

no one knows who tho

Riko won’t say and won’t let Mari help her record

everyone thinks that Mari can play the guitar but she can’t

they know it’s not Riko cause she can play the piano and viola but is hopeless with a guitar

secretly it’s Dia

Mari: “guitar players in rock bands are just so cool!”

Dia: *gay thoughts of taking up the guitar to impress Mari because she plays the koto how hard could it be to learn the guitar?*

-current day-

Riko: “i wish we could get someone to play the guitar for strawberry trapper it would sound so much better”

Dia: “i know someone who would be happy to help but they won’t want to work with Mari because she's annoying”

Riko: “haha that sounds like you dia do you play *obviously joke*”

Dia: “...shit”

so when RIko needs a guitar part she and Dia go to an empty classroom after everyone else leaves and set up a makeshift studio

Dia really enjoys playing the guitar for aquors songs

she’d never admit it but the heavy metal style for kowareyasuki was super fun and she was a proud gay when Mari was absolutely ecstatic about it even tho she’ll never tell  

for vocal recording they use the Ohara Recording Studio(tm)

if she can everyone to cooperate and stay calm enough Riko likes to get everyone in the booth to sing at once

results may vary

she tries to sit outside and actually work but eventually she gets dragged into the booth and she just has to do some extra editing later

most of time it actually works pretty well but when it doesn’t she has a super specific order for recording everyone

Chika, Yoshiko, Mari, Yo, Ruby, Dia, Kanan, Hanamaru, Riko

Chika Yoshiko and Mari have the shortest attention spans of the lot and need to go early

Yo is a good strong voice so having her anchor (heh) Ruby to the melody is a good thing

Dia cause Ruby just went so the sister’s wanna go home

Kanan and Maru cause they’re the most patient and could wait forever

Riko last cause she honestly forgets she hasn’t gone yet (she spends so much time with the damn song she feels like she’s been singing it forever)

 this process takes probably about 2 weeks from start to finish (most of the time is recording the vocals)

Riko and Mari can honestly crank out songs in an afternoon if you leave them be

sometimes that turns into late night idea sessions where they make a super cool, intricate, expertly sound-designed, and mastered 30-sec snippet that makes it nowhere

aquors are super proud of their music makers and do anything they can to help out (Kanan and Yo carry equipment, Chika puts the drumsticks back where she found them)

Dia is still super gay and embarrassed about learning the guitar just for Mari even tho she’s damn good at it and Mari would be super impressed

Aqours as parents, AU [summary]

Hello again c:

It’s been a few months that I’m working on this AU, and I really wanted to share it with you all. I wrote a few scenes here and there (for now), but I’d rather introduce you the families before publishing whatever will come (and be finished) first. :3

○ the Kurosawa household    → RubyMaru (yes, our little shy Ruby came a long way and proposed to her best friend!) + their two children, • Tsubasa, the eldest.      • born on July 21st, 2027      • she started dancing at 6months, whereas she was barely crawling (imagine her rocking her small body back and forth on every music she heard!)      • she became better at dancing when she was able to stand on her feet, gripping the edge of the couch (or the table legs) • Hanayo, the youngest.      • born on January 17th, 2029      • even as a toddler, she was super shy and often hid behind her moms’ legs in presence of other people, including Aqours      • loud noises have always scared her, whether it be the vacuum cleaner, some works outside the house, or Ruby accidentally breaking something      • the first time she clapped her hands was at 9months, while watching her big sister dance (it was on Step! ZERO to ONE)!

○ the Matsuura household    → ChiKanan + their … um … FOUR children!

• Anju, the eldest.      • born on January 16th, 2027      • she loved when Chika and Kanan were singing nursery rhymes, and she was always happy to gesture and mimic them      • she started singing lullabies to her baby sisters as soon as she could sing them almost entirely      • also, Anju was very pampered by all her aunties, as she was the first Aqours baby! • the younger children … Here comes the twins, Honoka and Umi!      • born on March 15th, 2028      • the two of them were are very different : Honoka has always been more active than Umi, as she was running everywhere whereas Umi preferred puzzles and dominoes      • as they grew older, Honoka tried to avoid her parents’ scolding by blaming Umi for her bad behavior, but knowing the oh-so-calm nature of the latter, it never worked • and Rin, the youngest of all.      • born on November 1st, 2029      • she has always been the most hyperactive among the Matsuura children, even beating the little Honoka      • speaking of Honoka, Rin and her did a lot of silly things together (they were sometimes helped by Anju), as Rin copied Honoka a lot      • she has always loved cats despite having a dog at home! and ‘nya‘ was her third word, after Momma and Mama

○ the Ohara household   → DiaMari + their only lovechild … • … who is our favorite Elicchi (she won’t be quarter Russian this time tho).      • born on October 21st, 2027      • her fear of darkness started when she was 8months, the moment when she realized she wasn’t just one with her mothers, but that they were different persons (it happened to the others too, but it was traumatizing for baby Eli)      • classical music (or serene songs) have always appeased her, becoming her favorite kind of music      • Tsubasa and Hanayo are her cousins, and she has always loved dancing with them (Tsubasa and her were the ones who helped Hanayo stand on her feet, so she could dance with them!)

○ the Sakurauchi household   → YouRiko + their three calmand loveable daughters. • Erena, the eldest.      • born on May 27th, 2027      • aside from long hugs and kisses, Riko found out that nursery rhymes were calming her down each time she had a fit. Singing lullabies became crucial when Riko had to cut Erena’s nails (she hated it)      • let’s be honest, Erena was a pain when it came to sleeping. She loved falling asleep in her Mamas’ arms, but she woke up each time they were putting her to bed. You sometimes had to go for a drive to make her fall asleep again (funny, putting her to bed after a car ride never woke her up)      • despite all this, Erena was still a calm and adorable baby • Kotori, the sweet younger one.      • born on September 12th, 2028      • after her parents introduced her solids, she became quite a pain when it came to food. Kotori was used to You’s cooking, which caused her to often refuse food from other people, especially desserts (no one could rival You’s cheesecake!)       • as her sisters often ran away from Mama You and her thousands outfits, Kotori was always happy to try them on before parading in front of her family • Maki, the youngest …      • born on April 19th, 2029      • as tsuntsun as ever, and still a real tomato lover.      • it was a real mess when YouRiko found out about Riko’s third pregnancy, as she got pregnant only a few weeks after Kotori was born …      • the stress of having a newborn and being pregnant at the same time caused Maki to be a premature baby      • Maki is really close to her sisters (Erena tried to help her parents despite being 2yo, and Maki literally grew up with Kotori (Kotori is only seven months older than her!))

○ the Tsushima household   → Yoshiko and an adorable OC named Maemi + their devilish twins : • Nozomi and Nico!      • born on June 9th, 2027      • let’s be honest, the Tsushima twins were a good fit, and ended up copying Momma Yoshiko Yohane      • Nozomi and Nico were real pranksters, and the two of them loved pranking their little friends, especially Eli (Hanayo could have been their scapegoat, but they got yelled at because she was way younger than them)      • Nico loved pranking the others, but she also was her twin sister’s target. Too often to her liking.

I hope it was a nice surprise to see that the Aqours girls are our µ’s and A-RISE girls’ lucky and happy parents! :3

Because well, let’s be honest, we all know that, in a very close parallel universe, Mari is NozoEli’s hidden child, or that Dia and Ruby are NicoMaki’s daughters … But I thought that, what if, this time, YouRiko, ChiKanan, DiaMari, RubyMaru and YoshikOC were the parents hehe~?

Ahhh idk how to feel about the new duo/trio songs like I didn’t realise there was a theme for all of them like I really wanted a slow ballad traditional J-rock thing for the Hurricane Blossom trio and was honestly expecting that bc when the trio’s seiyuus went to Seoul they kind of hinted at that and then?? We got this?? Like it’s okay it’s definitely growing on me but these girls have the vocal ability to do so much more I would have honestly expected this kind of song to go to Chika/Kanan? My fave part of the song is the slowish bit right before the chorus bc it sounds rlly tranquil and shows off their sound as a group and it?? Sounds really nice?? If the whole song sounded like that I would love it? But it’s a bit too happy for my tastes, especially for these three. Honestly, if anything, I would have expected the Hurricane Blossom and Twilight Tiger songs to be switched around bc the Twilight Tiger one kind of sounds like a mix of AZALEA and Guilty Kiss with the EDM and stuff but idk. It’s my own fault I just overhyped it lmao.

The Kurosawa sister song is amazing and I love the Spanish dance vibe? It goes so well with the costumes and I feel like the live performance will be quite heavily choreographed which would be nice. You///hane duet was kind of underwhelming, I mean to be fair my biased self wasn’t expecting much from it anyway bc You///hane is not my favourite ship in the world (tho I like it as a BROTP) but it was just kind of bland?? Their voices sounded quite good together I guess but I feel like they could have made it a slightly lower pitch perhaps in the chorus bc it’s a bit squeaky I guess for my liking? The Twilight Tiger one was great and exceeded my expectations big time like I thought they’d get something Mermaid Festa Vol.2ish but it was a nice change to see them being a little dramatic, a certainly wasn’t expecting it considering the costumes, but hey.

On a side note, now I’m wondering what the vol.1 really means? Considering the summer theme, does that mean we’ll get an autumn/winter/spring themed album with the same duos/trios, or different duos/trios in the next volume? I hope it’s the latter tbh bc I want my Yohariko duet lmao but who knows?
