CBSE CTET Exam Overview
The CTET 2024 exam was held on December 14, 2024, in an online format and divided into two shifts. Paper I, for candidates aiming to teach Classes I to V, was conducted in the afternoon from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM, while Paper II, for those targeting Classes VI to VIII, took place in the morning from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM. Each paper lasted 2 hours and 30 minutes, and candidates were required to report two hours before the exam. In cities with more candidates, the exam may have also been conducted on December 15, 2024. Both papers had 150 multiple-choice questions, with 1 mark for each correct answer and no negative marking. Paper I included five subjects, while Paper II offered a choice between Social Science or Science & Mathematics, along with other core subjects.

CTET Exam 2022 Notification: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)  has released the notification on its official website for CTET Exam 2022. The CTET Exam 2022 Notification has been released on 20th September 2022. The interested candidates who want to apply may download the official notification from the link provided below. Click to download CTET Exam 2022 Notification - CTET Exam 2022 Eligibility Details For Primary Level - Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR - Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. OR - Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR - Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education) . OR - Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education. (Special Education). CTET Exam 2022 Date: As Per Notification, the CTET 2022 will be conducted from 28th December 2021 to 07th February 2022. Candidates are advised to prepare accordingly. CTET Exam 2022 Salary:
All the qualified candidates will get eligible for applying in the recruitment of primary teachers, TGT and PGT posts in Central Government Schools such as KVs School, DSSSB & Navodaya Samiti Schools, or other state govt schools. On appointment, they will get the Payscale as per the post mentioned below: - For Primary Teacher: Rs 35400 + Other allowances - For Trained Graduate Teacher:  Rs 44900+ Other allowance - For Post Graduate Teacher: Rs 47600 + Other allowance The other allowances include: - DA (Dearness Allowance) - TA (Transport Allowance) - HRA (House Rent Allowance) - Increment (once a year)
CTET Exam 2022 Structure & Pattern:
All questions in CTET will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), with four alternatives out of which one answer will be most appropriate. Each carrying one mark and there will be no negative marking. There will be two papers of CTET. (i) Paper-I will be for a person who intents to be a teacher for classes I to V.
