Salman Khan's cameo in Ajay Devgn's film Singham Has THIS resemblance with Hrithik Roshan's amazing cameo in Salman-starrer Tiger 3?
There was a lot of jubilation when it came to light that superstar Salman Khan will reprise the much-loved character of Chulbul Pandey from Dabangg in Singham Again, the big Diwali release of the year. But after Baba Siddique’s shocking demise on October 12, things went for a toss due to the threat looming over the superstar. On October 21, it was reported that Salman’s cameo in Singham Again had been dropped, disheartening fans who were looking forward to his entry in the exciting Cop Universe. But yesterday, fans got a surprise when Salman secretly and suddenly shot for the special appearance in Mumbai.
Interestingly, Singham Again was previously filed to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) a few days ago. Many people wondered if a director could add a scene when the censorship process was well underway. An industry source told Bollywood Hungama, "There's no difficulty here. The certificate is expected to be issued to the makers of Singham Again within a few days. The makers can then approach the CBFC again, alerting them of the extra video and demanding that it be passed."
According to the source, "The duration on the censor certificate will still mention the original runtime of Singham." Again, this is without Salman Khan's cameo. The CBFC will provide them an extra certificate indicating that they have successfully completed the aforementioned sequence."
Interestingly, this episode bears resemblance to last year's Diwali blockbuster, Tiger 3, starring Salman Khan. The censorship process was concluded on October 27, 2023. Yash Raj Films (YRF) shot Hrithik Roshan's cameo on November 4. As a result, YRF had to request that CBFC pass the additional scene again. The CBFC did this on November 6. Salman's spectacular appearance in Singham Again is believed to be featured in a mid or post-credit sequence, similar to how Hrithik's cameo appeared near the conclusion of Tiger 3.
The same source added: "As per the CBFC rules, the makers need to approach them not just when they add a scene but also when they reduce any scene." Recently, the creators of Devara, starring Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan, and Janhvi Kapoor, approached the CBFC to voluntarily reduce roughly 7 minutes from the film's final version.

EXCLUSIVE: Hrithik Roshan's sequence in Salman Khan's Tiger 3 lasts 2 minutes and 22 seconds and was shot on November 4th.
Tiger 3 will be released on November 12th, and there is a lot of anticipation. The film, which stars Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Emraan Hashmi, is part of the popular YRF Spy Universe. The fact that it stars Shah Rukh Khan as Pathaan adds to the excitement. Salman's character Tiger had a rocking special cameo in Pathaan (2023). The film's buzz was boosted a few days ago when it was revealed that Hrithik Roshan's character from War (2019), Kabir, will also appear in Tiger 3.
Hrithik Roshan's appearance in Tiger 3 has been confirmed by Bollywood Hungama. "The scene was shot very recently, on Saturday, November 4, at Mumbai's Yash Raj Studios," a source told Bollywood Hungama. Hrithik Roshan appeared to be pleased to be back in the Kabir zone and had a great time filming the scene." "Since the censor process was already completed on October 27, the producers, Yash Raj Films, had to once again request CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification) to pass the additional scene," the insider continued. On November 6, the CBFC did so. Tiger 3 now has a run time of 156 minutes (2 hours 36 minutes), up from 2 hours and 33 minutes previously." According to the censor certification, Hrithik Roshan's sequence lasts 2 minutes and 22 minutes. It stars Kabir and Colonel Luthra (Ashutosh Rana). The exchange begins with Luthra telling Kabir, 'Jo main tumse maangne ja raha hoon' and finishes with him telling Kabir, 'Shaitan se ladhte ladhte tum khud hi shaitaon ban jaao'.
Previously, Bollywood Hungama was the first to report that Tiger 3 received a U/A certificate from the CBFC's examining committee.

EXCLUSIVE The Apprentice makers refuse cuts asked by CBFC; Donald Trump biopic’s release might be delayed in India
The USA elections, as expected, have become a talking point across the world. The country goes for polls in less than 3 weeks, on November 5, and hence, the cacophony is growing louder as the D-Day comes near. In this election season, a Hollywood film named The Apprentice has released and it has grabbed the headlines as it is based on the younger days of Donald Trump, the controversial Republican presidential nominee. The film is scheduled to hit cinemas on October 18 in India but looks like its release may get delayed.
EXCLUSIVE The Apprentice makers refuse cuts asked by CBFC; Donald Trump biopic’s release might be delayed in India
A special screening of the film was held for the press and select moviegoers at a multiplex in Mumbai on Wednesday, October 16, where the host announced that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has asked for certain cuts. The makers learned about it and have refused to accept the modifications.
It now remains to be seen if the makers and CBFC are able to reach a consensus. If it happens today or tomorrow, The Apprentice will be released on Friday, October 18, as planned. Or else the host announced at the screening that the period flick will arrive in cinemas next Friday, October 25.
Despite the release date not being fixed, the uncut and uncensored version of The Apprentice was shown to the press and select moviegoers at the special screening. The author was present at the show and knowing how the CBFC works, it is pretty clear that they must have asked explicit sex scenes to be axed from the film. However, a few of them are crucial to the film's plot and hence, can't be censored.
Acclaimed director Hansal Mehta presented the film at the screening and raised laughs with his comments on Donald Trump.
The Apprentice stars Sebastian Stan as Donald Trump and Jeremy Strong as Roy Cohn and is about the former's rise in the real estate sector and also his relation with his lawyer, played by the latter. Maria Bakalova essays the role of Ivana Trump. Directed by Ali Abbasi, The Apprentice premiered at the 77th Cannes Film Festival earlier this year.

The CBFC permits 'Ghapa Ghap' in Ranbir Kapoor's Sanju but CENSORS the slang in Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Neha Sharma's Jogira. Sara Ra Ra's
The 2018 blockbuster Sanju, starring Ranbir Kapoor, made the words ‘Ghapa Ghap’ famous. In the Sanjay Dutt biopic, Vicky Kaushal’s character utters the phrase and it was slang for sex. It was allowed by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and cleared the film with a U/A certificate. Five years later, the CBFC, however, asked ‘Ghapa Ghap’ to be censored from an upcoming film, Jogira Sara Ra Ra.
Starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Neha Sharma, Jogira Sara Ra Ra has been passed with a U/A certificate and 7 cuts. After the changes were carried out, the makers Jogira Sara Ra Ra were handed over the censor certificate on May 8. The length of the film, as mentioned on the certificate, is 121 minutes. In other words, this romantic comic caper is 2 hours and 1 minute long.

In the spotlight as the first major release of February, “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya” is generating buzz for its unconventional narrative, vibrant atmosphere, and soulful music. Scheduled for a February 9 release, the film, featuring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, has undergone scrutiny from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), resulting in noteworthy modifications.
The CBFC’s evaluation led to a 25% reduction in a pivotal lovemaking scene, with 9 seconds of the sequence being censored. This alteration transformed the intimate moment’s original 36-second duration into a condensed 27-second version. Additionally, an audio adjustment replaced the term ‘Daru’ with ‘Drink’ in the latter part of the film. The Examining Committee also insisted on an anti-smoking static message, emphasizing larger and more readable Hindi fonts.
These modifications paved the way for “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya” to secure a U/A certificate from the CBFC on February 2, positioning it for a Valentine’s Week release. Interactive Workshop Unveils the Dynamics of Censorship in Cinema at the 16th Global Film Festival Noida 2023
Noida: The 16th Edition of the Global Film Festival Noida 2023 played host to an insightful workshop shedding light on the intricacies of film censorship, conducted by Ms. Rochika Agarwal, a senior member of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The workshop aimed to deepen the understanding of the role of the censor board and the significance of various film certifications.
Ms. Rochika Agarwal, with her extensive experience, elucidated the functioning of the censor board and emphasized the importance of film certifications, ranging from Adult Only (A certificate) to U/A, highlighting the responsibility bestowed upon the board by the Government of India. She underscored that censorship is not merely a job but a societal responsibility aimed at exploring fundamental reasons behind content censorship, considering cultural, societal, and ethical perspectives.
During the workshop, Ms. Agarwal directed attention to the necessity of government certification for movies, asserting that it aligns with the broader interests of society. She elaborated on the diverse categories of film certifications that exist in the film industry, acknowledging the variations in criteria across countries and regions, ensuring content aligns with cultural and regional standards without targeting specific towns or demographics.
Addressing the film industry’s dynamics, Ms. Agarwal emphasized the dual responsibility of movie production. While films are meant to be produced, production houses must exercise moderation, especially in instances involving excessive violence or nudity. Drawing from her experience, she shared instances where production houses disagreed with censor board decisions, leading to the classification of movies under the adult category.
The workshop, hosted by Assistant Professor Shashank Sharma, provided a platform for students and enthusiasts to engage with a seasoned expert in the field. The session concluded with a memento presentation by Harsh Kumar, acknowledging Ms. Rochika Agarwal’s valuable insights and contributions to the discourse on film censorship.
The 16th Global Film Festival Noida continues to serve as a catalyst for knowledge exchange and insightful discussions on various facets of the film industry, bridging the gap between theory and practical understanding.
