(Mini THH AU Masterlist)

In the Mini THH AU, the first motive is a little different. Closer to the THH first motive:

Each of the senpais is given an envelope and told that it contains a true thing that happened to someone or something they love during the time they don't remember.

(The kouhais don't get directly targeted for any motive stuff; being physically tiny during a killing game is already a pretty big motive, and they themselves serve as motives to their senpais in different ways.)

Imposter pretty immediately orders the group not to open their envelopes: The envelopes are explicitly designed to make them want to start the killing game. "So long as your envelope is sealed, we'll know that you have no motive to kill anyone." (Meaning, anyone with an open envelope will become a suspect.)

Fuyuhiko of course ignores him and opens his envelope and takes out a photograph of his dead sister, with a caption that reads 'Natsumi Kuzuryu, beaten to death by Sato [surname]'. He freaks out, but someone points out that the photo could be edited/fake, to upset him into murdering someone.

Nagito says, "Why don't you ask Mahiru? I'm sure the Ultimate Photographer would know the difference between an edited and unedited photo."

Fuyuhiko brandishes the photo at Mahiru, demanding to know whether it's fake.

Mahiru knows that the photo isn't edited. But she sees the caption and just generally reads the room enough to know that she can't tell them that, so she says it's fake and makes up a really detailed reason why she can tell it's fake, related to the size of the lens, etc.

Fuyuhiko isn't entirely mollified, but he subsides for the moment, basically storming off. Now everyone's curious what's in their envelope, but Imposter and Mahiru remind everyone that the photos are fake and they can't let Monokuma trick them into killing each other, so they don't open their envelopes. They go back to their cabins.

In his cabin, Nagito checks his envelope. Makoto thinks it's a bad idea, but Nagito brushes off his concerns with a smile.

The photo is just of his house on fire, with a caption matter-of-factly referring to an angry mob. Nagito shrugs, like, "It happens."

Makoto says, "I'm sorry about your house. I hope your family is okay."

Nagito explains that his family is dead and cheerfully brushes off attempts to comfort him about it, but ultimately he and Makoto have a pretty nice conversation. Under normal circumstances, he might want the others to open their envelopes, but Makoto has convinced him not to instigate in that way.

In her cabin, Mahiru opens her envelope.

It shows a picture of her dad, with a caption saying he was killed by Kazuichi. (A lot of the envelopes say the loved ones were killed by Kazuichi, because the machines he made count as his own kills. Though it doesn't explain that much; it just says he killed them.) She knows the photo isn't edited.

Teruteru may or may not open his envelope; if he does, he'll convince himself the contents are a lie. Imposter not only doesn't open his, but he puts it where no one else can find or open it, successfully preventing Junko from implicating him. Mikan doesn't open hers. Gundham maybe doesn't open it at first, but Toko or Syo talk him into it, or Syo just opens it herself and once the seal is broken he may as well look. Nekomaru, Chiaki, Sonia, Akane, and Hajime don't open theirs.

Ibuki doesn't open hers, but Sayaka opens it for her. Once again, a loved one killed by "Kazuichi".

Hiyoko opens hers; same deal.

Peko has to open hers to make sure Fuyuhiko isn't the only one with a motive, and hers is maybe a person she trained with or under. Also killed by Kazuichi.

Kazuichi doesn't open his, but he does notice that some of his classmates are looking at him differently and treating him oddly. They don't admit that they've opened their envelopes, but their hostile or skittish vibes toward him make his nervousness skyrocket, to the point where Chihiro is the one comforting him.

Peko in particular frightens him. Since the person in her envelope was probably yakuza, Fuyuhiko gives her the go-ahead to confront him, demanding an explanation.

Which of course he can't give, and the confrontation is inconclusive on her end and very scary on his. He was probably fearing for his life the whole time.

So, when Mahiru tries to pull him aside one evening, he's already super on edge; he thinks it's Peko coming back to finish him off. Maybe he swings his wrench at her, in what he perceives as self-defense, and she dodges, takes it as a deliberate attack, and impulsively pushes him down the stairs or something of the sort.

(As he's falling, Chihiro flies out of his pocket and then lands on his chest. Possibly injured by the fall, but not dead. Kazuichi is, though. Sorry I keep killing him first, but if it helps, he had a great dynamic with Chihiro before this. Super respectful. They unpacked a lot of their hangups about gender together. It was great.)

Mahiru bursts into tears, shocked and horrified, and that's when Nagito happens across her, dries her tears, and offers his help covering up the crime.

A distraught Mahiru basically just watches dazedly as Nagito puts Makoto in his pocket and zips it up, hides Chihiro someplace safe but out of the way (maybe just taking them back to their terrarium in Kazuichi's cabin, where they have food and water already, and making it so the electric door won't open), and moves the body to where it won't be found until later.

He encourages her to just return to her own cabin and get some rest. And calm her kouhai; Hifumi looks really stressed, and it would be bad if he gave her away.

While he's in Kazuichi's cabin hiding Chihiro away, he also opens Kazuichi's envelope to complicate things and makes various tool sounds so people will think Kazuichi is in there working, to confuse the time of death. And he briefly takes Makoto out of his pocket, to try to calm him down (and also feed him, because they will be missing breakfast; if he went to breakfast and didn't let Makoto out of his pocket, people would notice, and if he did let Makoto out of his pocket, Makoto would tell people what happened).

Plus, not showing up to breakfast would make him a suspect, which is good for the mystery.

"I know you're upset, but you really should eat," Nagito sighs, holding Makoto securely in one hand and a palm full of breadcrumbs in the other. "It's going to be a long day. Hey, it's not too hot in my pocket, is it? I'm not sure how your small body handles my body heat. I'll just wrap an ice cube in a napkin and put it in there with you, okay?"

(Post despair) So Makoto and Junko how did you two happen?

((Apologies for taking so long for this one, also, reading some of my Naejunko fanfics might help you understand this universe))

Makoto:Before all this started.

Junko:And fittingly enough, I didn't plan for it...it all began when I met Makoto for the first time, at the time I didn't see anything worthwhile on him aside from him aside from maybe luck, but being so average at simple glance made me curious for what else was in there, so I tried to get to know him...

Makoto:I tried to be nice at first...but very quickly we got into a fight, I never met someone who pissed me off as much as she did, I tried to befriend her but there was no luck...or well, it turned out to be very lucky.

Junko:I eventually began to get more interested in Makoto, there was something about him...especially when I tried to kill him and always failed, he was something interesting, a nice side distraction while I continued with my plans...we grew closer and closer...

Makoto:Until we began developing feelings for each other, as much as I tried to deny it, unfortunately I fell hard and eventually had to admit my love for her, though she was the one who said I love you first, so I have that going for me at least. She didn't stop trying to kill me either, it's basically our relationship since the beginning.

Junko:I got closer to Makoto, a lot closer, sometimes I began doubting going through my plan but then I thought that the Despair of betraying Makoto and destroying everything we build up together would be amazing...and...it's not something I want to talk about now.

Makoto:I was starting to notice something weird with Junko...especially at one point she was looking and acting almost completely different and going by Ryoko Otonashi, I was a bit hurt by the fact she didn't recognize me or that she was obsessed with some other guy...and then she was back to normal.

Junko:My plan was going off without much problems, I managed to manipulate Izuru, create that prototype killing game, blame Izuru for it to send the Reserve Course into a frenzy, brainwash class 77 to be my servants. The world started falling apart and the plan to lock ourselves in the school to survive...I had to convince Makoto to stay with us instead of trying to go save his family, which were already kidnapped...then living together inside the school while I started preparing for the killing game...what I done started to get to me, but that's how despair work, eventually after one new year celebration which we got...intimate, I started the plan, I made everyone lose their memories in their sleep, I killed Jin Kirigiri and started the killing game.

Makoto:Understandable I was pretty confused as everyone else when I woke up, since I though I just stepped into Hope's Peak for the first time...although I was able to tell that something was off with Junko right off the bat. We tried to find a way to escape without killing anyone...but that didn't work out, give Sayaka was the first to die, followed by Mukuro by Junko's hands...

Junko:The despair of seeing one of my classmates die and especially my sister die drove me to despair, the more it hurt the sweeter it was...but I was also excited when Makoto started to show his amazing skills in the class trials, I already expected him to be a wild card in my killing game...and he was!...oh and also Kyoko was there trying to find her memories, solve the mysteries of the school and get them out or some shit, I didn't really care.

Makoto:After finding out Leon was the one who killed Sayaka after she attempted to kill him, he was executed for it...I was angry and sad about it, but I resolved to never forget about any of the fallen and keep going on their stead...unfortunately, they weren't the only ones that died, Chihiro, Mondo, Taka, Hifumi, Celeste and Sakura followed them, either being killed, executed or killed themselves in the case of the last one...but then that's when the killing stopped...and I meant it.

Junko:At some point I tried to kill Makoto, I don't know why, I guess the lockdown, lack of sleep and my sister and classmates getting killed got to me. But I tried to kill Makoto and pin it on Kyoko to kill two birds with one stone, obviously I failed and then used Mukuro's body to set up a trap to get rid of Kyoko. It failed because Makoto choose to sacrifice himself for Kyoko (the fucking selfless idiot) and chose to not reveal her lies, which means he was next in the chopping block because he was a big thorn in my side...but he was saved by Alter Ego who hacked my machine.

Makoto:I was rescued by Kyoko, we got out of the garbage chute and we confronted Monokuma about cheating and managed to convince them to let us have one final go by uncovering all the secrets of the school and uncovering the real murder of Mukuro Ikusaba. After gathering all the proof we could we went through one final class trial, in which we finally proved who was the real murderer and the mastermind behind it all.

Junko:Me, I finally revealed myself to them all, then they started uncovering everything that had happened in the outside world and why they were trapped here...Makoto was always catching me off guard in that trial, always managing to surprise me...even wanted to get out of the school despite the avalanche of problems he would face out there...even when it was either forcing them out there by sacrificing me or sacrifice Makoto to stay in the school until they died of old age, he managed to convince them all...and managed to convince me to keep living.

Makoto:I wouldn't have wanted Junko to die even if we didn't have our story together, but during the class trial, actually the entire time I encountered Monokuma, there was something about them...something familiar, something I wanted to reach for, when she tried to kill herself as part of the final brutal execution I tried to stop her as much as I could...maybe I did remember to some extent...

Junko:I was shocked that Makoto wanted me to keep living, yet also expected of him. I thought he wouldn't want anything to do with me even if he remembered our past together, let alone when I was basically monstrous stranger to him...but then I decided to accept, because it would be more despairful to be with him, and with classmates and people that hated me to the very core after what happened...Also I guess it be nice for our daughter to have both parents together in this cruel world.

Makoto:Yeah, so remember that new years celebration we mentioned earlier? Well we didn't want to use protection at the time so Junko go pregnant, I didn't know this at the time and Junko didn't either until later.

Junko:But anyways, we got out, naturally people were gonna be hostile to us because they thought Makoto brainwashed me or something...ironic, but we tried to live and Makoto wanted to undo everything I worked for, I thought that would be despairful too, but we were approached by the Future Foundation, who was not happy to see me as you could no doubt tell.

Makoto:Despite them trying to convince me to hand over Junko and come with them, I refused. I told the others to go with them if they wanted so they could have a safe place but that I wasn't gonna leave Junko with them, but they choose to follow me instead...it was really nice from their part really, eventually the Future Foundation approached us pacifically and we managed to get into an agreement:We come with them and aid them and not only they help us but also spare Junko, of course I would have to keep Junko under watch which I was ok with...and then I recovered my memories thanks to the Future Foundation.

Junko:Everyone was understandable pissed off at me, which I don't blame them for, Makoto was very confused and angry, I thought he would finally had enough about me...and he didn't...he told me although he was pissed off, that he may never forgive me for this...he still loved me, he was still glad that I was ok and that he would keep watch over me for the rest of our lives to make sure I didn't do anything like this ever again...that was so sappy and sweet that I wanted to cry and puke...I don't understand Makoto completely, I think I never will...but that's one of the many things that makes him interesting and one of the many reasons why I love him...I...

Makoto:Junko started to cry after that, I guess all the good we could have had together that she ruined got to her, maybe she was starting to realize that she didn't enjoy Despair as much as she thought she did, she still tries to generate Despair but that's mostly directed at me and it's innoffesive...Honestly, despite everything I was just glad she was alive and didn't die just like the others...but anyways, after this I resolved to undo her brainwashing to Class 77, Junko took their lives away from them, so I wanted to give them back. We got the help from Natsumi and Sato who had just woken up from the Coma, Izuru/Hajime who had gotten in contact with Junko and wasn't...happy that he realized he got manipulated by Junko. We came up with the Neo World Program plan to undo the brainwashing, it wasn't perfect, even I admitted that, and the Future Foundation wasn't exactly thrilled with it, but we managed to convince them of letting us try it, thanks to Junko getting Chisa to participate as well after she outed her out.

Junko:Yeah it was a bit of a mess there and people got angry at me thinking I was trying to destroy them from the inside out...but honestly I didn't even think the Future Foundation would exist when I did that to Chisa. It was an actual coincidence...but anyways, we undid it for her first as a test run with her classmates helping out, it worked so we moved on to fetch Class 77, we rounded them all up and took them to Jabberwock Island, it would have been simple...it should have, but let's just say there was some complications with an AI, which wasn't my fault by the way, that was Hajime.

Makoto:Basically Izuru sneaked the AI Junko he stole from her into the program, this AI was from before Junko gave up on her Despairful ways, so she took control of the teacher role and turned the simulation into another killing game while she disguised herself as Monokuma just like before. We constantly tried to stop this and take control back, but she denied us at every turn, so we had to watch the Killing Game and hope things ended up well...and on top of all of it, this was when we found out Junko was pregnant.

Junko:It caught me by surprise too, I was so busy with all that other shit that I forgot about that night in new years, it certainly didn't help with everything that was going on at the time...but Makoto reassured me he would be with me in every step of the way, or at least as much as he could...which was touching.

Makoto:Eventually I was able to enter the simulation alongside a few others in the final class trial to convince them to shut down the simulation to prevent AI Junko from getting out. It looked like it didn't work at first due to the others being basically at their limit...but Hajime managed to pull through, merge with Izuru and convince the others to believe in their future...I'm not gonna lie, he looked really cool there. But AI Junko was defeated...I did feel bad for her, since she was still a Junko...but everyone managed to get out, Hajime was even able to bring back everyone who died in the simulation eventually.

Junko:We hit a few problems with the Future Foundation after that. But we managed to resolve it, the Remnants secluded themselves to Jabberwock Island, and after that everything became peaceful. Our daughter was born, me and Makoto got married after a bit...we just signed some documents though. I'm basically at permanent house arrest and can't go anywhere without Makoto....which is probably the lightest punishment they could give me, not like people want anything to do with me for very understandable reasons.

Makoto:And I decided to reinstate Hope's Peak Academy, even went off to become the Headmaster...despite all the problems that came from that place, I still wanted the original intention of fostering talent and hope to remain, without making the same mistakes that led to stuff like the parade happening again.

Junko:So yeah, it's been a wild and tumultuous ride...I got a lot of things that I don't deserve the slightest bit.

Makoto:But despite everything that she has done...I still love Junko and our daughter, I still want to have a life with her...and I don't care what people think about me.

Junko:And I love Makoto and our child, and I don't want to ever throw that away again...

I’ve gotten super into danganronpa lately and since it’s now a hyper fixation it’s been on my mind a lot, and now that I’m playing thh school mode and spending time with characters I didn’t in the main game, one thing I’ve been thinking about is… well I might just be reading the vibes wrong but why does it feel like almost every character in thh has almost romantic or at least qpr-like behavior towards makoto? Like it almost feels as if they all have a crush on him, and I know this prob sounds insane but I keep noticing it?? Like with byakuya and kirigiri I think almost everyone can agree naegi’s like their puppy lol, and then Chihiro feels like they like-like him but maybe it’s just because guys aren’t usually that nice to Chihiro so they’re just not used to it?? Idk, and then Asahina had that thing where she used Makoto as her practice bf and I didn’t think she actually liked him at first, but as the interaction played out and makoto said she should just be herself, it seemed like she was flustered or smth bc of how genuine he was towards her??? And junko (mukuro) it felt like she was flirting/toying with him a lot but maybe that’s just her personality or just mukuro trying to seem more like junko. I feel like with Sakura she didn’t have a crush on him but she did say that he reminded her of her first love.. and of course there’s sayaka, I don’t need to elaborate on that one, and there’s probably more interactions during free time with characters that would come off as somewhat romantic or smth but I can’t think of anymore, and I haven’t seen everyone’s free time conversations yet. And keep in mind although I do enjoy character shipping, I usually don’t go too crazy with it like it may seem I am in this post.. like usually I’ll just ship one or two pairings and then leave it at that, not reading between the lines too much or anything, but something about danganronpa and how intimate makoto gets with them sometimes in the conversations or the ways characters just interact with him in general, it just makes my brain kind of explode with theories and possible ships and stuff lol idk why (also, it’s not just makoto x other characters.. but just how other characters are with eachother in general, like toko/syo and Hina?? Like what’s up with toko/syo always commenting on Hinas mommy milkers but then insisting she only likes Byakuya?? Like does she like hina or is she just saying weird stuff?? AAAAAA)

Judging the Danganronpa x Sanrio character pairings

You may have already heard that a DANGANRONPA X SANRIO line of crossover merch was announced a few days ago! Which is obviously AMAZING, because they’re combining cutesy characters that have often been marketed to wee children with everybody’s favorite murderdeathkill game! I LOVE IT.

I have a niece who went through a Sanrio/Hello Kitty phase, so I actually know a few of these characters. In turn, this means that I have THOUGHTS on how the DR1 and Sanrio cast were paired up.

Granted, I still had to look up a lot of these guys and read about them. But now I feel adequately educated to the point where I can judge just how well the Danganronpa and Sanrio pairings actually match up. 

Makoto Naegi/Cinnamoroll - Obviously this totally works because Makoto IS something of a cinnamon roll, eh? EH? But Cinnamoroll is said to be shy albeit still very friendly. He also likes to seek out fun new adventures. So, aside from “very friendly,” I’m not sure that this sounds like Makoto. I also doubt that calling a character a “cinnamon roll” is common slang in Japan. So this is whatever.

Sayaka Maizono/Wish Me Mell - Mell has the power to connect people’s hearts by simply stating the feelings they keep inside. She was initially withdrawn and believed she didn’t have any friends, but the people who cared for her finally broke through her shell and convinced her that she DOES have friends. So uh, Maizono... I guess music can also bring out people’s feelings? And perhaps you could plausibly HC that Sayaka has often felt like her surrounding friends were “fake” and only there because of her celebrity status. There’s not really much to go on here. 

Leon Kuwata/Tiran - Tiran is an orange T-rex that is said to be scatterbrained but still a strong and reliable leader. Meanwhile, Leon has orange hair, and he’s certainly strong and kind of scatterbrained sometimes. It sorta works.

Kyoko Kirigiri/Marroncream - Marroncream is bright, positive, and fashionable. She is talented at making crafts and sweets. She lives in Paris. She has nearly nothing in common with Kyoko, although Kyoko did live abroad a lot in her younger years. So I could try to latch onto the Paris thing.

Hifumi Yamada/Pokopon - Pokopon is a raccoon that loves to read but dislikes ghosts and “the thunder god.” (uh... what?) He also finishes his sentences with the unusual suffix “-das.” Of course, Hifumi loves to write (which certainly is connected to reading), and he likes to end all names with a weird suffix (”-dono”), so I can see how they might make a cute pair.

Kiyotaka Ishimaru/Pekkle - Pekkle is a duck who is good-natured and kind. He loves to sing and dance. It kind of sounds like he should’ve been matched with Sayaka, but instead he’s here with Taka. While Ishimaru is definitely a good person, I don’t think most people would immediately describe him as “kind.” And he certainly isn’t known for his love of music.

Yasuhiro Hagakure/Monkichi - Monkichi is a laid-back, easygoing guy who is upbeat and loves puns. His dream is to become a poet. It’s said that once he sets his mind on something, there is no stopping him! And in comparison, Hagakure is... well, he’s kind of laid-back in the sense that he’s kind of lazy? But he’s actually pretty high-stress a lot of the time, too. Honestly, there’s not much linking the two.

Chihiro Fujisaki/Kurousa and Shirousa - Shirousa is the white one and is the older sibling to Kurousa, the brown one. Shirousa is described as an energetic leader and Kurousa is described as being nice but lazy. They like to make cakes. What does any of this have to do with Chihiro? Beats me. This particular pairing is nonsense.

Byakuya Togami/Badtz-Maru - Badtz-Maru is said to have a bad attitude and dreams of being “the boss of everything” when he grows up. He tends to act a bit selfish, and he mocks things he dislikes/disagrees with. He enjoys expensive food and collecting photos of movie villains. With the exception of that last point, I’d have to say that this sounds like a near-perfect match for Togami.

Mondo Owada/Goropikadon - The Goropikadon are a group of cave boys whose actual names are Goro (blue hair), Pika (pink hair), and Don (teal hair). Goro is always hungry and joking around. PIka is a thoughtful, shy mama’s boy. Don is serious and places a high value on honesty. Overall, I suppose that how quick Mondo is to get angry and resort to violence kind of makes him seem like a stereotypical caveman? But in terms of their distinct personalities, only Don’s focus on honesty rings true for Mondo. 

Toko Fukawa/Lloromannic - Another multi-character one. The Llormannic are a pair of creatures named Berry (the black one, who is male) and Cherry (the pink one, who is female). They are mischievous and love to play pranks on humans. Cherry was originally alone and created Berry for companionship; however, she mixed up her magic spell ingredients and used salt when she meant to use sugar, which resulted in Berry turning out to be a more hostile being than Cherry. I suppose the fact that Berry is a darker creation of Cherry’s sort of reflects the relationship between Toko and her other self, Genocide(r) Syo/Jack. However, Berry and Cherry are still best friends. Toko and Syo/Jack are definitely not that.

Celestia Ludenberg/Kuromi - Kuromi is the rival of a bunny named “My Melody” who doesn’t appear in this promotion. Kuromi is said to look “tough and punk” in her jester’s hat with the pink skull on it, but in reality she is very girly. She enjoys writing in her diary, reading romance books, cooking, and checking out good-looking guys. I suppose Celestia did have that dream of living in a mansion where she was served by handsome guys dressed as vampires? So... they both like hot guys? But that’s all I’ve got here. Pretty sure this pairing only exists for aesthetic reasons. And admittedly, their aesthetics mesh very well.

Aoi Asahina/Keroppi - Keroppi lives with his family on the edge of Donut Pond. He is bubbly, a fantastic swimmer and, because of the name of his home pond, is often associated with donuts and/or things that are donut-shaped. Ok, so this was an obvious pairing, then. They nailed it. Probably the single best pairing they came up with.

Sakura Ogami/My Sweet Piano - Yes, the character’s name is literally “My Sweet Piano.” She’s described as soft, kind, and girly. Given Sakura’s secret love of girly things, I can see how this soft, pink, girly sheep would be something she’d love to be around. 

Junko Enoshima (...?)/Hello Kitty - Hello Kitty (a.k.a. Kitty White) is described by Sanrio as “cute, bright, sweet, kind-hearted and tomboyish.” They also say that Kitty is very close with her sister, Mimmy. As for Junko... look, the only reason I think maybe this is supposed to be Junko is because Mukuro already has her own Sanrio matchup (see the next entry), but in terms of her appearance, this “Junko” sure looks like it’s “Junkuro.” The telltale sign is that giant bow on the left side of the head, which only Mukuro-as-Junko has ever worn. I doubt we’re supposed to be thinking that they did two Mukuros in two different outfits, though? 

It’s like this: If it’s Junko, well, I guess both Junko and Kitty are icons within their respective brands. And Junko tries to put on a “cute and bright” exterior persona, I guess? But that’s pretty thin. On the other hand, if this is Mukuro in disguise, this is actually a semi-decent matchup! Mukuro is arguably tomboyish and certainly very close to her sister (at least from her own perspective), so these two are not without their parallels. 

In either case, both Kitty and the Unknown Despair Sister have a big bow on the left side of their head. Which I think is the real reason they’ve been paired, honestly.

Mukuro Ikusaba/Little Twin Stars - Kiki and Lala are a pair of twins that were born on December 24th. Mukuro is one half of a pair of twins ALSO born on December 24th. Instant connection! Kiki (the blue-haired boy) loves fishing and inventing things. He is curious and cheeky. Lala (the pink-haired girl) loves drawing, writing poems, and cooking. She is rather timid. In short, the “twins with the same birthdate” thing is the only thing connecting Mukuro to these two. Still, it’s not bad.

Also, the most amazing thing to come out of this team-up so far HAS TO BE MonoKitty. Hello Kitty cosplaying as our favorite psychotic MurderBear? How great is that? SELL ME MERCH OF MONOKITTY.

Your "Makoto befriends the 77 class" hurts my heart every time I see it, a lot of your stuff mentioning Makoto does, but its really well written and interesting to think about so I'm not complaining

I was wondering though, can you maybe write something about Makoto's class actually appreciating him? Not connected to the Makoto and 77 AU, a seperate thing, I personally just think of class 78 being really close so I want some of that in my life

A snort is heard "Taka you couldn't be late if your life depended on it, hey shrimp." Said Mondo, an easy going smile on his face.

Makoto huffed at the nickname but waved at him as he came over.

Taka relaxed "I know I just... " "worry" said Makoto and Mondo in synch, fist bumping and Taka rolled his eyes but there was a fondness to it.

"Is Taka worried about being late again?"

"Even though the bell hasn't even rang yet"

Said Sayaka and Leon, walking over with amused smiles. Taka huffed but smiled at them "I see you both had morning practice, how did it go Leon?" Leon smiled "it went great man, I think I might have some talent in this music thing after all."

Makoto smiled, it was nice seeing Leon persue his passions.

Leon smirked "maybe even enough to take Sayaka's title" she rolled her eyes, lightly elbowing him. "Don't get too cocky now, I'd give you a run for your money" She teased, all of them shaking their heads at their antics.

"How you been Makoto?" Asked Sayaka, turning her attention to him. Makoto smiled "I'm doing good, Sakura's been helping me get into shape. She and Hina say I'm improving." Sayaka smiled warmly "that's great to hear, you certainly look a lot happier."

Mondo grinned "so what I'm hearing is we can spar one of these days hm?" He said playfully putting his fists up. "Mondo Owada you better not be rough housing our little Makoto like that" said Celestia, walking over with a disproving look.

"We're just playing Celest, don't worry about it. Like I'd actually try and hit Makoto, jeez." Celestia chuckled "oh I'm well aware, I believe you'd have to answer to me and Kyoko if you tried such a thing. Good day everyone." She greeted, Makoto smiled sheepishly "might be a long way before that Mondo but maybe one day."

Mondo grinned "see that's the spirit. You and Chihiro are coming a long way." Chihiro smiled warmly "let's do our best Makoto" he smiled and Makoto smiled back.

"And speak of the devil and she'll appear, good day Kyoko. My you look dreadful this morning." Chuckled Celestia, Kyoko rolled her eyes good naturedly "as do you, long case last night but it's been handled. Thanks to Makoto, your deduction was spot on, never doubted you for a second."

Makoto smiled warmly "I'm glad to help" he said, she smiled back. "And I'm sure you made the perp sing like a bird" said Byakuya, walking over, Kyoko merely smirked. "Oh his royal highness himself has come to greet us, what a treat" snorted Junko, walking over with Mukuro who nodded in greeting.

"Ha ha, your soo funny." Said Byakuya rolling his eyes, Junko grinned flicking her hair "I am aren't I?" But neither had any malice in their voices, they did this all the time.

"I see our junior is getting far, we love to see it." Said Junko with a grin, Makoto pouted making them all soften. "Im not that much younger" He said and she sinly laughed and ruffled his hair.

He lit up like a light bulb.

"Yasuhiro isn't in today, he got caught trying to scam someone... I hope he didn't drag you into it" said Kyoko, looking at Makoto who shook his head "nah he told me he was gonna do it but he didn't want me getting in trouble too."

"Nice to see him thinking it through, if only he would stop doing it" said Kyoko with a sigh. "That's Hiro for you, loves the excitement" said Hifumi. "Speaking of excitement, me and Toko are making great progress with our joint book series, the first few drafts will be completed soon and I hope we have all of your support." He announced proudly.

"That's awesome guys, you've been putting so much work into it I can't wait to see it." Said Hina, Sakura nodded "I hope your work has paid off." Toko smiled shyly "I hope so, don't worry it's appropriate for you all to read."

Everyone gave a relaxed sigh at that.

"Does that include Makoto?" Asked Mukuro, covering his ears and making him pout. "Yup, infact he helped us work over some of the plot. Thanks for that by the way" said Toko, Mukuro nodded and let him go. "Your welcome, can't wait to see the whole thing together." He said with a smile.

"And that's everyone I believe so let's get things started shall we?" Said Taka just as the bell rang and everyone got to their seats.

Makoto

He’s honestly not terrible at minecraft, but he’s definitely not the best either. Watch him find like 6 diamonds in one ore vein or something the first time he goes into a cave. His buildings are kind of unremarkable, and he’ll just do with what he’s got. He’ll share his resources with you if you just ask nicely, though. He’ll give you flowers because he thinks they’re pretty. He likes to decorate his base with them.

Aoi

She loves the warm ocean biome. She would definitely have an underwater base in one. She’s not the best Minecraft player, but she knows what to do. Her buildings aren’t terrible, and she’ll probably have a lot of water features. She thinks the tropical fish are super cute and will definitely make an aquarium. She will only share her diamonds with you and Sakura.

Byakuya

"What’s a minecraft?" Find him 5 minutes into spawning into the game, and he’s already stuck in a 2 block deep hole and he can’t figure out how to get out. He just rage quits. If he tries again, he’ll probably make people build him a house or something and always keeps his diamonds in his inventory so no one can steal them. His skin is just Steve. He doesn’t know how to change it. After he’s done with trying to play, he might end up just watching you play. Get ready for a lot of questions about how you do things.

Celeste

Acts like she hates the game, but secretly thinks it’s pretty neat. She just gets Hifumi to build everything for her while she loots villagers. She definitely has a cat in the game, and her skin is likely some lolita looking character. If asked to share her diamonds, she’s probably gonna just punch people out of her castle instead. (She’ll secretly share with you though, but don’t say a w o r d)

Chihiro

Server manager. He’s banned Junko from doing anything stupid, so she’s stuck in adventure mode while everyone else is in survival mode. He’s a really good player, to no one’s surprise. He’s probably made his own mods that he plays on his own. Also thinks the animals are really cute but is scared of ender men. Please protect him from the endermen or he will cry.

Hifumi

He definitely has a custom texture pack that he made himself where the bed has the texture of a body pillow. Whether it’s a joke or not is up to interpretation. Gives his diamonds to Celeste, but he has a secret underground base that no one knows about where he’s secretly hoarding a whole bunch of rare items. Really good at building. If you ask him nicely, he might help you build some things as well.

Junko

Major troll. She’ll kill you and steal your inventory. Then she’ll grief your house. She often gets herself banned from a lot of servers so she just made her own to be annoying. Is actually really good at the game, but it doesn’t really show. She’d have a Monokuma skin and would likely never have any perms thanks to Chihiro. You also would get trolled. But not as often as the others, because she seems to have a slight soft spot for you.

Mukuro

Kinda just done with Junko’s shit, so she plays Minecraft with the class to have a bit of a break. Junko of course bullies her poor sister to no end, so Chihiro has Junko completely muted. Like her ultimate, she’s really good at combat in Minecraft. She has miraculously never taken damage from a mob. She’ll fall of stuff a lot, but she has never been hit. Will secretly leave diamonds for you and Makoto. (If anyone else finds out, Junko will get word and steal them)

Kiyotaka

Gets stuck in all sorts of 2 block holes and is always getting killed by mobs. Whenever someone swears in chat, he keyboard smashes in chat to hide the swear word. He’s constantly screaming and has decided to pair up with Mondo. He now shares a base with Mondo. He and Mondo are both clueless at the game, so they just follow around Chihiro.

Kyoko

Kinda just vibing and lurking around, making sure Junko isn’t going to terrorize anyone. Surprisingly good at the game and is actually pretty good at parkour. She will /tp to people who are not having a good time and kill whatever is terrorizing them. Sometimes she just likes to watch you play when she’s not being everyone’s guardian.

Leon

Has crazy good aim in the game, so he always snipes mobs with his bow, or maybe Junko if she’s coming up to reign terror on his base. He’s a kind of shitty builder, but he builds really large bases with a whole bunch of farms. Mob farms, mushroom farms, cobblestone farms, if there’s a farm, he’s got it. Will not share his resources if the others beg him, but might let you have some stuff if you give him some diamonds in return.

Mondo

Swears a lot, to no one’s surprise. He and Taka follow around Chihiro who has made them both a little base for them to expand upon. They have their minecraft beds next to each other, as placed by Chihiro as a joke, but they did not move their beds. He’ll often get lost in caves, and digs down a lot. He dies a lot for some reason. Will only share his diamonds with Chihiro, Taka and you.

Sakura

When someone’s screaming that they’re being attacked by a mob, she would come to the rescue. She’s really good at combat like Mukuro, but she protects people from mobs instead. Aoi’s not the best in combat, so she’ll often be protecting Aoi. Will definitely make a house next to Aoi’s and will give people flowers. She’s kind of like an Iron Golem. She also loves decorating with flowers, so you can give her some that you find. She’ll be very happy.

Sayaka

She keeps a fuck ton of animals because she just thinks they’re cute. Has tamed like every pet tameable, and would tame the ender dragon as well if she could. Probably has a mod that lets you do that that she plays on her own. The first time she saw a creeper, she thought they were super cute, so she went up to one, but got blown up. That was such a major offence that she is now ruthless with creepers. Whenever you’re getting chased by a creeper, by some strange instinct, Sayaka just happens to know where you are and strikes down the creeper. They never survive the wrath of an angry Sayaka.

Toko

Takes over villages and tries to build houses for Byakuya, but she just gets ignored every time. Toko always seems to attract creepers that blow her up constantly. Junko will some times lay her own TNT to blow up Toko. She’s kinda clumsy at the game and will definitely scream whenever she hears a cave sound. Also somehow always starts raids. She just seems to have shit luck, so she builds away from every one else. Her diamonds are reserved for Byakuya (who refuses to take them), but she will give you and only you some resources when you ask.

Yasuhiro

Has no idea what he’s doing cuz he’s really only in it for the ender men. Is terrified of Herobrine. He’ll see Byakuya’s Steve walk by in the distance. Hiro will then probably shriek and chase after Herobrine, only to see that the Herobrine is gone. Really, Byakuya just fell down a hole again. He just leaves a whole bunch of dirt shacks around the place and has yet to actually mine any diamonds. He might end up running to wherever the heck you are and screaming about Herobrine (actually just Byakuya) since you also have interest. But alas, the ‘herobrine’ is gone every time you go back to where he was found.

Well, this isn't the fic I was planning to release next, but oh well-- I was feeling It.

Hina kicked at the sand absentmindedly as she gazed longingly out at the water. “Man, I really missed seeing the ocean but…” She crossed her arms and made a face. “What good Is it If I can’t swim in it!? I’m like a fish, If I don’t swim In water I’ll die!!”

Sakura smiled amusedly at her best friend. She can be so dramatic sometimes… “Hina, they said It was safe to swim In…”

“Yeah but Monokuma didn’t give me any of my swimsuits…” She mumbled dejectedly, kicking a rock into the water.

Yeah, they didn’t exactly get the chance to pack their stuff or even ask Monokuma for specific things from their rooms. Aside from the morning announcements he hasn’t even shown up-- not that anyone besides Byakuya was complaining.

“Ugh!! That’s It!” Hina ripped off her red jacket and tossed it to Sakura. “Hold my jacket, I’m going In!”

The Martial artist fumbled the piece of clothing, caught off guard by the swimmers sudden outburst. She quickly grabbed the brunette’s arm to stop her. “W-Wait! Instead of doing that… Why don’t we just go find the store and see If it carries swimsuits?” She suggested.

As usual Sakura was the voice of reason amongst the chaotic gays.

Hina paused, thinking it over. “Okay… That sounds good In theory, But what if they don’t carry them?”

“Then I’m sure they’ll carry donuts… we’ll get some to cheer you up then ask Usami if she knows where the swimsuits are.”

Aoi giggled as she took her jacket back from the tall girl and tied it around her waist. “I like the way you think!” She grinned. “Let’s go!”

“Alright, Let’s just ask Nekomaru where the store Is.”

They both looked to Neko, who had stuck around to keep an eye on Mondo.

“No need! I can show you where it is if you want.” Mahiru volunteered, suddenly behind the two.

Hina squeaked as they both quickly turned to face the Photographer.

“Sorry! I didn’t mean to scare you both.” The red head apologized with a sympathetic smile.

“Geez Mahiru!” Hina giggled, placing her hand over her still racing heart. “You got me good!”

“Are you sure? We don’t want to trouble you.”

Mahiru nodded with a smile. “I’m sure. Actually, I was coming to find you two. Apparently Usami has something to tell us girls...”

The two tensed. It’s not a motive, Is it?

“What do you think It is?” Hina asked as she started walking with Sakura and Mahiru.

“I’m honestly not sure. Normally she gathers all of us, not just the girls.” Mahiru responded.

As they crossed over the bridge to the second island, the girls of both classes came into view. Even Toko, surprisingly.

“Hey Toko!” Hina waved her hand at the writer. “Glad to see you out of your room!” she smiled as she turned to face her.

“W-Where Ha-Have you two b-b-been?!”

“We were checking out the beach.” Aoi answered. “Sorry, did we worry you?”

“D-Don’t b-be ridiculous! Why w-w-would I worry a-about you m-m-meatheads?!” she blushed.

Hina smiled and wrapped her arms around the awkward girl’s shoulders in a hug. “Aww, You WERE worried about us!”

“S-Shut up!” Toko blushed even more, batting the brunette away.

Soon enough, Usami appeared out of nowhere. Much like they were used to Monokuma doing. “Love love! Hello everyone!” She greeted the group cheerfully. “I hope you are all getting along okay!”

“We’re doing fine, Usami.” Chiaki smiled, patting Chihiro on the shoulder. She had brought them along and wanted to include them In on whatever Usami had planned.

“I’m glad to hear that.” Usami replied. “As some of you may know, I no longer have my magic stick…”

“Magic stick?” Sakura repeated quietly, confused.

“It’s a long story.” Mahiru whispered back.

“But It appears that Monokuma must have one of his own. Because there’s some new buildings on this island!” Usami explained, surprised. “One of such buildings, Is a women’s clothing boutique. Which is why I asked you all here.”

Sonia’s face brightened. “Really?? Wow! That Is wonderful!”

“I thought I should tell you all first before I told the boys.” Usami giggled. “I thought It might be a nice chance to bond with the other class’s girls.”

“And enby.” Chiaki and Mahiru both said at the same time. Chihiro smiled at the two girls In response.

“Right! I’m sorry, I’ll remember that for next time!” Usami apologized. “Anyway! There’s also a spa on the Island! So enjoy yourselves!”

She disappeared from sight, leaving the group to talk amongst themselves.

“This has to be a trick of some kind.” Kyoko said thoughtfully. “A motive, Maybe?”

“Yeah, I am not trusting It either.” Peko agreed.

“It’s gotta be a motive, It’s been too peaceful!” Hina chimed in.

“What If Monokuma put ‘Saw’ movie level traps in the clothing?” Ibuki theorized. “And the moment we put on the clothes-- SQUISH! BLEH! Off with our heads!”

Mahiru cringed at the gory sounds Ibuki tried to make, sighing softly. “I doubt he would have time to do that. But It’s definitely suspicious…”

“And why only things for girls?” Akane thought aloud. “It seems like a trap.”

“I think we should check It out regardless.” Celeste smiled. “I think a spa trip sounds lovely, perhaps even worth the risk.”

“I GOT IT!” Hina yelled in realization, all attention now on her. “WHAT IF MONOKUMA PUT SHARKS IN THE SPA?!”

“This again…? H-Hina I doubt there Is enough water for sharks in the spa.” Sakura sighed. She loved this girl, but sometimes she could be a bit… out there.

“She might actually be onto something.” Kyoko surprisingly agreed with her wild theory after a moment of thinking.

“H-H-How wo-would that e-even be possible?” Toko stammered in disbelief.

“Maybe not specifically sharks, but that would be the least suspecting place to put something dangerous.” The detective calmly theorized. “It may be too dangerous to check out without more muscle power.”

“Why do we need more muscle power? Sakura, Peko an’ I can handle it!” Akane grinned.

“No offense to you three, but there is strength in numbers.” Kyoko responded, to which Sakura and Peko nodded in agreement. “But there are less places to hide dangerous traps In a boutique, So I think we should be okay to check that out.”

“And then we get the boys to go with us to the spa?” Peko asked for clarification.

“Yes. I think that would be wise.”

So with the group in agreement (except for Toko, who immediately went back to her room), the girls and enby headed to the boutique to investigate.

After some time looking around for clues or traps, they were shocked to find it was literally just a normal clothing store… or so It seemed.

“That’s strange.” Kyoko said, surprised as she inspected a piece of clothing.

“What? Did you find something?” Chiaki asked, yawning as she approached the detective.

“It’s… just clothes.”

“You mean, These are actually safe?” Sayaka asked curiously, poking her head around the corner to look at the two girls.

“It appears so… I’d still check before you try anything on but--”

She was already back around the corner with Ibuki. “Oh my gosh, Ibuki! With some leggings this would look so cute on you!”

Sonia giggled. “I agree!”

Ibuki looked at the frilly mini dress held up against her body in pure disgust. “Eugh! Ibuki doesn’t do this style anymore, It makes Ibuki feel restricted.”

“Okay, maybe not this dress then…” Sayaka put it back and looked around for another one. “We should match for our concert though.”

While the three looked through the costume dresses, Chihiro was on the other side of the store looking at all the cute casual dresses. They felt a little self conscious looking at them.

“Hi, Chihiro.” Mahiru greeted, approaching the small programmer with her girlfriend in tow. “Are you alright?”

Chihiro jumped in surprise, immediately letting go of the dress they were looking at. “O-Oh! Hi Mahiru… Hiyoko.” They greeted the two girls shyly.

“Sorry, didn’t mean to scare you!” Mahiru apologized with a small smile. “I was just coming over to look for a new sun dress.”

Chihiro nodded, absentmindedly going back to looking at the dress they found as Mahiru began shuffling the articles of clothing on the rack.

The red head stole a few glances over at Chihiro, noticing their hesitancy. “Are you okay?”

Hiyoko tilted her head curiously as she too looked up from the dresses.

“Y-Yeah, I’m fine! S-Sorry… am I distracting you?”

The two ultimates exchanged glances before looking back at the small enby. “Of course not… I’m just concerned about you.”

“O-Oh… there’s no reason to be concerned, I’m okay… really.” Chihiro put on the best smile they could, but Mahiru, who constantly photographed smiling people, immediately knew it was forced.

Hiyoko’s eyes scanned the clothing rack in front of Chihiro until she noticed a disturbed article of clothing, she walked over and plucked it from the rack. “This Is a cute dress.” She commented, drawing both Mahiru and Chihiro’s attention.

Hiyoko looked at the Programmer and smiled. “You should try It on.”

Mahiru had to do a double take, had someone replaced her fiery imp of a girlfriend with someone sweet???

Chihiro blushed brightly. “Um… I-I could never pull that off…”

“Sure you could.” Mahiru smiled, following Hiyoko’s lead.

“I-I don’t know…”

“Chihiro!” Sonia bounced over brightly. “You would look adorable in that!”

“Maybe If we found a sweater to go with it you’d feel better.” Chiaki smiled.

“Ooh! And some accessories!” Sayaka joined in.

Chihiro had a bad feeling about this…

“R-Really girls, I-Its okay! I was heading over to look at skirts anyways!” They tried backing away, but the girls weren’t letting them off the hook that easily.

Meanwhile, Hina found the swimsuits much to her excitement. They were pretty cute too! Some of them were plain, others had skirts to them, pretty patterns, bikinis, one pieces… you name it, they had it.

Hina picked up a red tropical flower patterned bikini with a skirt. “Check this out Sakura, It’s so cute! And It’s my size!” she squealed happily.

The martial artist stopped what she was doing and looked over at her best friend with an amused smile. “It looks nice.”

After another moment of searching she produced a similar bikini and showed It to Sakura again.

“That kind of looks like the last one.”

“Mhm! Except It’s white with red and pink flowers! What do you think?”

“It’s… pretty?”

“Good, Because It’s your size.” Hina grinned impishly.

Sakura paused. “Hina… I don’t do bikinis.”

“Why not?”

Sakura immediately got flashbacks. She recalled when she had first started gaining muscle and went to the beach with her friends, she had gotten stared at and made fun of. She was made so uncomfortable that she just went home.

“...Reasons.”

Hina pouted. She knew that was code for something serious. “Fine, I don’t want you to be uncomfortable… I’ll keep looking.”

“Thank you for respecting my--”

They were interrupted by Chihiro shrieking, they looked at each other in alarm and bolted in the direction of the sound. Upon rounding the corner they found Chihiro wrapped up in Sayaka’s arms while Chiaki and Mahiru tickled them.

Sakura sighed in relief upon seeing it was just something harmless.

Hina grinned. “You good Chihiro?” She couldn’t help but tease them.

“Hehehehelp mehehe!” They squealed as Chiaki squeezed their sides.

“Why are you all ganging up on Chihiro?” Sakura asked, feeling some pity for the smol programming bean.

“Why not?” Hina retorted. “Chihiro’s too cute not to tickle!”

“Hinahaha you’re not hehehelping!” They blushed even more.

“Oh sorry~ I’ll help you now.” Hina smiled innocently, approaching the trapped enby. The swimmer fluttered her fingers against their belly, drawing even more squeals of laughter. “There, do you feel helped now?” she giggled.

“Hahahahahaha! That’s nohohohot whahahat I meheheheant!” They whined.

“Chihiro started crying because they did not feel they could pull off this dress.” Sonia explained gently, holding the dress up. “So the others are trying to cheer them up.”

Sakura frowned. She understood where Chihiro was coming from, but literally Chihiro would look so fucking cute in that dress. It was a white ruffle sundress with a light yellow ribbon sash.

It was bewildering that Chihiro didn’t think they could pull it off…

Sakura scanned around until her eyes fell on a light yellow sweater with short sleeves, she picked it up and walked back over to the giggling programmer.

The girls stopped tickling and looked at the piece of clothing in the tall girl's hands. Chihiro slid to the floor in a heap of lingering giggles and soft gasps.

The white haired girl sat down next to them. “Chihiro, I understand how you feel. You feel like everyone Is going to be staring at you and judging you.”

They nodded meekly, staring at the floor.

“And maybe people have done that to you before…” She paused as Chihiro nodded again. “But you’re among your friends here, and we aren’t judging you In the slightest.”

“Yeah, Sakura’s right.” Chiaki agreed, sitting down too. The other girls followed suit. “We would never judge you.”

“We all have things we are self conscious about, Chihiro.” Sonia smiled kindly at the enby. “I am self conscious about my skin.”

“R-Really…? But you’re so pretty…” Chihiro looked at her.

“Thank you, but so are you.” Sonia pinched Chihiro’s cheek gently. “I burn in the sunlight, The kids I went to school with used to call me ‘Princess lobster’. So I try to avoid exposing myself to the sun.”

Chihiro blushed at the compliment and looked back down.

“I’m super self conscious about my weight.” Hina spoke up next. “I’m always weighing myself. I used to get teased for how many sweets I eat, my friends told me I was going to end up alone because no one would be able to look at me.”

“Hina, You’re gorgeous. You don’t have to worry about your weight!” Chihiro frowned.

“I used to get made fun of because I had braces when I was younger.” Sayaka shared. “They said I’d never be a singer because the metal in my braces would mess with the recording equipment.”

“Do I even need to say what I’m self conscious about?” Hiyoko sulked, folding her arms across her chest. “I’m short.”

Mahiru put her hand on Hiyoko’s shoulder. “You’ll hit a growth spurt someday.” She teased. “People called me a boy growing up.”

“I-I-I’ve al-always been s-s-s-super c-c-clumsy. People h-h-have always ma-made fun o-of me for It.” Mikan said softly.

“Of course they have, You’re a walking pile of pig barf!” Hiyoko snapped.

“Aah! I’m sorry!” Mikan cried.

Mahiru shoved her hand over Hiyoko’s mouth and pulled her into her lap to keep her contained. She sighed. Welp, so much for her being kind…

“People I went to school with used to accuse me of stuffing my bra, and constantly harassed me because of my home life.” Akane said quietly.

“I was feared, I was told I had monster eyes. Most kids avoided me.” Peko chimed In.

Kyoko looked down at her gloved hands then back up at Chihiro. “I think my insecurity should be obvious…”

“I got made fun of for loving video games. And I’ve got some pudge.” Chiaki poked her stomach.

After a moment of silence the girls looked at Sakura, who gave a hesitant sigh. “Do I need to say It?”

“Yes.” All except for Chihiro said in unison.

Sakura sighed again. “I get called ogre. People call me a freak or abomination. When I started bulking up, people told me that I looked better before and I lost a lot of friends because they were embarrassed to be seen with me.”

“Remind me to smack Hiro and Hifumi when I see them next.” Hina said quietly.

“Hiro doesn’t mean any harm by It.” she waved her off.

Hearing their friends being open about their insecurities made them feel a little better about opening up.

“Um…” Chihiro kept staring at the floor. “Kids I went to school with knew me when I Identified as a boy… and the first day I went to school in a dress, I got beat up and made fun of. Since then, I’ve been afraid to wear dresses… N-Not that skirts are much different… I’m just kind of traumatized by them.”

“Chihiro, You are adorable and beautiful.” Hina smiled warmly.

“Trust me, If anyone comes near you to beat you up or make fun of you… they’ll have a lot of people to get through first.” Chiaki added.

“You are one of a kind, don’t let people like that ruin something for you.” Sakura said gently.

Hina side eyed her, receiving a quiet; ‘shut up’ In response.

Chihiro sniffled, wiping their eyes. “Th-Thanks guys…”

“If you don’t want to try on the dress, We respect your comfort zone. You don’t have to if you don’t want to.” Mahiru put a hand on their shoulder reassuringly.

They looked at the dress In Sonia’s lap, then back up at the girls. “No… I… I want to try It on.”

“Are you sure?” Sonia asked.

They nodded, more sure this time. “You’re right. I need to learn not to take things to heart so much. Everyone has something they don’t like about themselves, even the people who picked on you.”

“That’s exactly right.” Kyoko nodded with a faint smile.

Chihiro took the dress from Sonia and stood up, they were about to head to the dressing room but they were stopped by Sakura, who handed them the matching sweater she found for the dress.

The enby gave her a smile before taking the article of clothing and retreating to the closed room with a new pep in their step.

A few minutes passed by, and something had occurred to Mahiru. “Wait a minute, Ibuki? You never said what you were made fun of for.”

Ibuki looked up at the red head, previously she had been drawing shapes on the floor with her finger waiting for Chihiro to come out. “Oh, Ibuki didn’t?”

“No, You didn’t.” Chiaki confirmed, eyeing the musician.

“Welllll…” Ibuki looked away sheepishly.

“Were you not bullied?” Sonia asked.

“N-No. Ibuki was bullied.” She sighed. “Ibuki was made fun of for the way she talks In the third person. Also the way she dressed.”

“I think It’s… endearing.” Sayaka smiled.

“Ibuki didn’t mention It because Ibuki didn’t want to be reassured or complimented.” She smiled shyly, tapping her index fingers together. “Ibuki doesn’t know how to take compliments…”

“I understand that.” Sakura responded.

Hina, again, side eyed her best friend. “I will hype you up and there’s nothing you can do to stop me.”

“Nothing huh?” She didn’t even bother looking at Hina, she blindly squeezed at the swimmer’s side, making her squeak and giggle as she twitched away.

“Come to think of it…” Kyoko hummed, glancing over at Celeste. “You didn’t say anything either.”

“That Is because there Is nothing I was made fun of for.” Celeste smiled, closing her eyes as she did.

Hmm… doubtful.

Chiaki looked at the wall clock. “Chihiro’s been In there a while… I think someone should go check on them.”

Before anyone else could volunteer, surprisingly, Hiyoko was on her feet. “I’ll do it.” with that she disappeared into the back room as well.

Mahiru blinked in surprise. “Should I go with her?”

No one got the chance to answer before Hiyoko came back out, Chihiro In tow.

The Traditional dancer stepped aside so the girls could see Chihiro, they were absolutely radiating happiness. “S-Sorry, I kind of froze up… How do I look?”

“Ohmigosh, Chi you look so cute!!” Hina squealed.

“That dress looks like It was made for you, You look so pretty!” Sonia beamed, stars practically in her eyes.

The Programmer giggled and twirled around in the dress happily.

The other girls quickly got over their surprise and flooded Chihiro with compliments. (even Kyoko and Celeste complimented them, shockingly.)

The rest of the boutique visit hit different for the group, they felt a lot lighter and closer than before.

JUNKO: Yep, that’s the day that it happened. The day everything started getting… pretty scary, if you ask me! I’m just glad you were outta town for that, and baby was home sick. That’s, like, the only reason she’s here today, too!

HAJIME: Wait, wait, slow down! What are you even talking about…?

JUNKO: Uhh, I’m getting to that? Besides, don’t you know that guy too? Nagito Komaeda?

HAJIME: Not really… I mean, I knew of him, but I was in the reserve course. I didn’t really talk to him or anything until I went to school that Monday, and… there was nobody there except him.

JUNKO: Oh, yea? Did he tell you anything?

HAJIME: Not really. After I got shot at and ran in the school, I asked him what the hell was going on, but it was like I wasn’t there either. He just changed the subject to hope over and over again, like I asked a totally different question, and eventually I just walked away. I still don’t know what he was doing there.

JUNKO: Then maybe he doesn’t want you to know, y’know? You’re so lucky you have me, then~!

(She smirks playfully. Hajime stares at her blankly and her face drops. She stares at a map with a pen in hand.)

JUNKO: Come ooon, I’m coping! This is pretty stressful for everyone, y’know, I use humor to forget about all this stupid shit.

HAJIME: Whatever… just… tell me what’s going on.

JUNKO: Well, what happened that day… that was the start of The Biggest, Most Awful, Most Tragic Event in Human History… in my opinion. And that’s saying a lot, because this world is filled with despair! And, like, his whole class helped him do what he did to the country! No idea why that is, but we can all fill you in on the rest, I guess. Preeeety sure we were all there in some way, ‘cept my baby.

(She gestures to the entirety of Class 78 of Hopes Peak Academy, standing and sitting in the basement of the school, as well as Mikan Tsumiki, who has a timid smile on her face as Junko looks back at her. Hajimes face drops.) 

HAJIME: Wh… what?? That can’t be it, that can’t be what happened…! The whole class?? The whole country?!

JUNKO: Eeeyup! They evacuated the school by putting a bomb under their teachers desk, and apparently all around the school, and I have NO idea how that lady didn’t croak! Anyways, everyone had to leave, and… that’s basically all I know. They just repeated that ooover and ooover on the news, it made me sick!!

(She threw her pen at a tiny radio propped up on a few cardboard boxes.)

HAJIME: Wh… this doesn’t… but… but, I...

(Kyoko steps forward and faces Hajime.)

KYOKO: I have some more information on what happened that day. After we were trapped here in the basement, all we had was the radio to inform us of the true nature of what happened. This is what I wrote down from those broadcasts.

(She hands Hajime a folder that contains three sheets of paper, all three of them hand-written notes. He begins reading.)

KYOKO: The class of 77-B was, most likely, all apparently under some sort of drug-induced psychosis. Most witnesses reported that they were acting strangely or out of character before they planted the bombs, and their eyes were hazy and… 

HAJIME: ”swirled”, “mixed”, “terrifying”, “comforting”, “light and dark” ...none of these make any sense.

KYOKO: My thoughts exactly. This entire event is bizarre and without any logical reasoning behind it… if you’d only heard about it on the news. But I think Makoto and I know more than any news outlets.

HAJIME: How?

(She looks over her shoulder to Makoto, signaling him to stand up.)

MAKOTO: Well, about a month ago me and Kyoko were going to one of the computer rooms to print something, but it was kind of out of the way, so we didn’t expect him to be there. N-Nagito, I mean. We saw him talking to Chihiro, and, uhm… I didn’t hear that part.

(He looks up to Chihiro. They stand meekly and fold their arms.)

CHIHIRO: H-he had been asking me to collaborate with him on a personal project, but… I didn’t have any spare time, and I didn’t even know him that well! So I finally just told him no, and he left me alone for a day or two… but t-then…

(Tears form at the corners of their eyes.)

CHIHIRO: H-he told me that… he was gonna… destroy the sc-sc-school if I didn’t-!

(They cover their face, and Makoto reaches out to rub their shoulder.)

MAKOTO: It’s not your fault, Chihiro. It’s nobody's fault but his. B-but anyway, after we heard about that, we decided that we had to keep an eye on him, but… basically the next day is when the bombs went off.

HAJIME: Why didn’t you just… tell a teacher what he told Chihiro?

MAKOTO: In hindsight… yeah, that would’ve been the safest thing we could’ve done. But Kyoko thought that we couldn’t keep an eye on him if he was expelled for that, a-and he could have been doing anything at home, so we fo-

KYOKO: Makoto, please, don’t. I was a coward, and I didn’t trust anybody else to investigate the matter. This whole situation could have been de-escalated dramatically if I had told school faculty.

(Kiyotaka stands from his spot next to Mondo.)

TAKA: You DIDN’T inform a teacher, or the Headmaster?! Miss Kirigiri, the school faculty always knows what is best for us!!

MONDO: Yeaaaah, is that why they all jumped ship and fucked off to who-knows-where so we could fight like dogs in the basement?

AOI: Hey, they did what they could, okay?? They had to protect themselves like everyone else! We’re not any better by hiding in the basement.

MONDO: Where the fuck ELSE were we supposed to go?? Candy land?!

YASUHIRO: Hey hey hey, Chihiro was right to lead us here the day the bombs went off! But I hear ya, maybe we coulda moved out of Japan together or somethin’ instead of hiding in Japan!

TOKO: I-I see why you’ve had to retake this year as m-much as you did now, you dumbass! He could b-be expanding anywhere now!!

BYAKUYA: As much as I hate to agree with her, I do. Nowhere is truly safe, and for all we may know, we’re being actively searched for. It’s only a matter of time before we have to relocate.

SAYAKA: I-I can’t stay here another second!! 

CELESTIA: Oh, so do you two suggest that we run out into the streets and expose ourselves to the predators? Play Nagitos game of cat and mouse?

LEON: Hell NO, I’m not playing that freaks game! But if he’s got his little possie out there looking every which way for us, then we gotta at least try and delay it!

SAKURA: On the other hand, we don’t know what they might want from us, if anything, or how bad the situation has escalated since we decided to hide.

HIFUMI: We don’t even KNOW what’s out there w-waiting for us anymore?! There could be giant mutant spiders wanting to turn us into baby food by now! I’m staying right HERE.

YASUHIRO: ...okay, I’m officially lost. Are we moving or staying?

SAYAKA: Moving!!

BYAKUYA: If you all intend on surviving, then you’ll all relocate. If you intend on being brutally murdered, then by all means, feel free to stay for a bit longer.

LEON: What in the actual fuck is wrong with you?? 

MAKOTO: H-hey, everybody calm down!!

SAKURA: We cannot make a decision until we know more about the outside world. AOI: But isn’t it because of what we don’t know that we have to go out there by now?

SAYAKA: Maybe some of us could go and some of us could stay?

TOKO: W-what if that reveals the hiding spot f-f-for everybody else??

MIKAN: (wiping away tears and hiccupping) N-nooo!!

YASUHIRO: Then we all have to come to the same decision, then.

CELESTIA: Yes, good luck reaching a peaceful consensus during the middle of an apocalypse!

BYAKUYA: I never said that it had to be a peaceful decision. If needed, you will all follow me kicking and screaming so I don’t perish thanks to your idiocy.

MONDO: I’ll knock some idiocy into ya if you keep runnin’ your mouth like that!

TAKA: Remember to take deep stomach breaths, bro! I think we can all solve this by utilizing a popular vote!

HIFUMI: But wouldn’t whoever’s the most popular win anyway??

HAJIME: SHUT UP!!! EVERYONE JUST SHUT UP!!!

(Everyone stops talking and stares at Hajime, who’s trembling and has his face in his hands.)

JUNKO: Daaaaaaamn, rookie’s kinda bold to be screaming at us like that, huh?

MAKOTO: Junko… you’re not helping. He’s obviously overwhelmed and you’re just teasing him.

JUNKO: C’mon, I’m nowhere near him! Hahah!

(Makoto sighs, sitting down next to Hajime on the floor. The rest of the students talk amongst themselves.)

MAKOTO: ...I’m sorry. I know you didn’t ask to be here, but… for what it’s worth, I’m glad that you’re still alive somehow.

HAJIME: … 

MAKOTO: You know… when Mukuro found you unconscious in that class, we all thought you were one of Nagitos’ friends. You seemed too peaceful in your sleep to have been running from anybody, or hiding from anything.

HAJIME: ...then why did you help me?

KYOKO: We thought we could get some information about the outside world. But apparently, you're just as lost as the rest of us.

MAKOTO: A-and because we didn’t want to leave anything to chance. Even if you were one of his people, we didn’t want you to just be out there. I’m glad that you weren’t, though… it feels nice to meet someone new again.

(Hajime lifts his face from his hands, palms and face covered in tears. He looks at Makoto with a faint smile.)

HAJIME: Yeah… feels nice.

Danganronpa: 10th anniversary outfits review!

So…quick thought here…I have almost no context for any other character outside of dr1, so if u like some of these characters, and I say something construed as mean…sorry?

DANGANRONPA 1:

Makoto Naegi: 7/10

It’s fine, really. Nothing extravagant, nothing stupid

Kiyotaka Ishimaru: 7/10

The only thing I have to say is that I like the color scheme: it takes from his school uniform, and that palette looks great on him!

Byakuya Togami: 8/10

I like it. The fur coat works for his personality, and the color palette works as well.

Mondo Ōwada: 9/10

I’m not exactly sure what this is supposed to be, but it looks great! The palette looks nice and the coat & pants have a really cool design on them.

Leon Kuwata: 7/10

The plaid looks nice, but in all honesty, I don’t really think it fits his character well.

Hifumi Yamada: 9/10

Not gonna lie…I’m actually loving the pinstripes! He kinda looks like a mobster from Guys and Dolls, and considering that’s one of my favorite musicals, it gets an instant high score from me!

Yasuhiro Hagakure: 9/10

That color combo looks really good on him! I’m kinda glad Spike Chunsoft loves putting Hiro in bright clothes, since they fit so well on him!

Sayaka Maizono: 8/10

It’s fairly basic…but it’s cute at least. Also, I like the little detail that she’s holding a yellow rose, since those mean both friendship, and more commonly, jealousy

Kyoko Kirigiri: 7/10

It’s fine. I don’t hate it, but I think they could’ve done a bit better. In all honesty, I think it would’ve been cool if they put her into a “little black dress” like the one in breakfast at Tiffany’s: simple, but elegant nonetheless.

Aoi Asahina: 9/10

I am fully willing to admit I’m biased, so I will. I’m in LOVE with this dress, and Aoi’s rockin’ it!

Tōko Fukawa: 9/10

I really like this dress! The colors, the accessory, the design, her hair, it’s all great!

Sakura Ōgami: 10/10

YESSS QUEEN FUCK IT UUUPPPPP

Honestly, I love this Kimono! The bright pink and yellow, the (I’m assuming) Chrysanthemums, her hair and the decorations, I love it all, and she looks stunning!

Celestia Ludenberg: 7/10

I…kinda like it? The palette’s nice, and the general feel of it is regal-esque, but I personally kinda don’t like it. I feel like they should’ve gone with something more Victorian or Rococo style for her

Junko Enoshima: 10/10

I’m in LOVE with this dress, and it looks gorgeous! I especially love the little masque that pays homage to Monokuma, and the crown being used as kinda like a hairtie! It really looks like something a fashionista would wear!

Chihiro Fujisaki: 7/10

WHY DOES HE LOOK LIKE A LEPRECHAUN AHAHAHAH

I don’t hate it, but they could’ve been just a bit more creative, I think.

Overall: 0/10, no Mukuro outfit

Hajime Hinata: 8/10

I like the white tux, but it looks like a lot of his palette was just eyedropped from his uniform

Rat Man (more commonly known as Nagito Komaeda): 9/10

I love the way this tux looks on him! The white jacket looks great, and so do the designs on it!

Byakuya Togami: 7/10

It’s alright. Nothing bad, nothing new. Maybe if they gave him a different tux design I wouldn’t mind, but as it is, it’s just fine

Gundham Tanaka: 9/10

I really like the accent colors, and the boa is a nice touch as well

I love the hamsters’ outfits! They’re adorable!!

Kazuichi Sōda: 6/10

This isn’t bad, but it just, once again, looks like they just eyedropped his normal uniform colors onto a tux. It’s not bad, but it does feel a bit lazy

Teruteru Hanamura: 9/10

This might seem like an unpopular opinion (and it is)…but I love this outfit! It’s cute, the accent colors and accessories themselves are cute, and Teruteru’s the only boy wearing a cummerbund (fun fact!)

Nekomaru Nidai: 9/10

I’m in LOVE with this guy’s design

I really like the double-breasted jacket (that’s actually what it’s called, I’m not being horny), and the colors look great on him! My only complaint is the fact that he’s wearing boaters. They’re not bad shoes, but I just don’t get why he’s wearing them

Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu: 7/10

I like his color scheme, but if there were any place to put pinstripes, it’s this guy, due to his title. Also, what’s with the rolled up pants? Is he wanting to wear shorts? He does look like a kid…

Akane Owari: 10/10

I ADORE THIS ONE. The pants, the blouse, the color, the CAPE…HOO BOOOYYYYY

Chiaki Nanami: 8/10

I like the color scheme, but, again, the dress seems a little plain. She’s the ultimate gamer, and you’re telling me you can’t reference a video game dress? Really?

The way it shows so much skin feels a bit weird, considering fanon states some kinda physical/sexual abuse for Mikan. The only thing I like is the color scheme

The pillbox hat & color scheme makes me think of Jackie Kennedy, so why not put her in something like that? Something a bit more conservative, but still pretty

Ibuki Mioda: 9/10

I really like this one! It seems a bit avant-garde, & I respect that for a character like ibuki

Not to mention it just looks pretty in general

Peko Pekoyama: 8/10

I love the monochrome color scheme and the way her Kimono looks, and her accessories look great as well!

I’m just not a fan of tweed…but also, this just doesn’t look good on him. What they should’ve done was give him something in a different color palette. Maybe reference a 1940s suit for extra levity!

Korekiyo shingūji: 7/10

Idk…everything’s’ fitting together, but at the same time…not. I do like the hakama, tho, & the color palette is once again, eyedropped

Ryoma Hoshi: 9/10

I love the color scheme, the pinstripes look great, and I love both the gloves and the fedora!

He just kinda looks, once again, like a formal version of his school uniform. It doesn’t look bad, but there’s gotta be something more creative than that

I love this dress. It’s so cute, and the use of translucent, glittery fabric really makes it look whimsical! She looks like a magical girl, which I guess is the point

Angie Yonaga: 9/10

I’m not exactly sure what she’s wearing, but I do love the colors. They fit really well, and it looks good on her!

Monokuma - weird, quite annoying, good job VA!!!, I like the song that plays in the background whenever he’s there, for some reason I kinda like (him?), obviously suspicious, is he really a robot bear? Idk

Makoto Naegi (Ultimate Lucky Student) - seems nice, if it’s his head we’re looking at then I don’t think he has any bad motives (so far), pretty smart i think, quite lucky, HIS BATHROOM DOOR WILL BE IMPORTANT

Aoi Asahina (Ultimate Swimming Pro) - kinda airhead at first, I liked her at first sight, no bad motives???, hasn’t talked much until recently, has sense, seems to care for others???, doesn’t seem suspicious

Byakuya Togami (Ultimate Affluent Progeny) - kind of a jerk, I don’t like him-, suspicious, doesn’t care about anyone, Tsukishima 2.0 (but worse), probably won’t hesitate to kill

Celestia Ludenberg (Ultimate Gambler) - Celeste, seems to be lying about everything (especially with her specialty), very suspicious, always makes ominous remarks (“you will die”), smart and has good view on situation (“you shouldn’t show weakness”), very suspicious, suggested the “night rule", I like her voice

Chihiro Fujisaki (Ultimate Programmer) - very quiet, seems all cute and nice, is this a facade???, not very suspicious

Hifumi Yamada (Ultimate Fanfic Creator) - i hate him, he’s annoying, an insult to fanfic creators, not suspicious, is probably genuinely scared and nervous, likes food???

Junko Enoshima (Ultimate Fashionista) - not really suspicious, but might not hesitate to kill, also seems scared and relies on others to get her out, shows weakness

Kiyotaka Ishimaru (Ultimate Moral Compass) - Taka, Iida 2.0, passionate about doing good, so probably not suspicious, won’t kill

Kyoko Kirigiri (Ultimate ???) - suspicious because we don’t know much bout her, her suggestions and hints seen to have good motives, I like her, also a simp for her

Leon Kuwata (Ultimate Baseball Star) - nice i guess, Kirishima and Hawks’s secret love child, [redacted] he’s probably gonna be one of the first to die

Mondo Owada (Ultimate Biker Gang Leader) - rude but has nice moments, his hair bothers me so much, seems suspicious when he’s being nice

Sakura Ogami (Ultimate Martial Artist) - seems cool, not suspicious, strong???, good motives probably, idk what else

Sayaka Maizono (Ultimate Pop Sensation) - “ultimate assistant”, kinda pretty, nice so far… (but hear me out) what if the game is making you think she’s some nice built-in assistant, BUT she has other motives and/or turns bad, what if she kills someone to stay popular??????!!!!!

Toko Fukawa (Ultimate Writing Prodigy) - I don’t like her,[redacted] she’s all jumpy and nervous especially during the discussion about [redacted], i really don’t like her, she’s a little rude, she’s gonna kill someone

Yasuhiro Hagakure (Ultimate Clairvoyant) - I honestly don’t like him even if he’s nice, to ignorant and joking, he has the AUDACITY to joke around in a LIFE OR DEATH situation, he’s too old for this school >:( ... but maybe he’s good???
