I did answer this one already, but I'm willing to view this as an excuse to talk about the beloved Skeptic again. :)

One thing I forgot to mention is that he can be bitingly cynical, and I think this is off-putting to most people. I don't personally have a problem with this; more often than not, his cynicism gives way to more funny and/or emotional moments. Also, most of my favorite characters in fiction are cynical to an extent.

Foxglove, Catalyst, Nightingale, Grey and Sol: Maybe?? They're job is literally a secret agency where people don't usually come back? But in their defense, 3 of the 5 know how to deal with kids, and 1 of the 5 has the mental age of a 9-10 year old with lapses of their actual age if they're being serious.

Five: Yeah, I'd trust them, they are just some parts of me and some death-induced trauma shoved into the burnt skin of a marshmallow.

The Terminals: Not really. They're an agent of chaos and they'd most likely just send my kids to the cybergrind.

Ulysses: I don't know. Would most likely bore the crap out of them.

The Rangers: They're a hard maybe. Would I trust them to protect my kids? Yes. Would i trust them to babysit is a whole nother question. Least Omega squad is 2 separate teams or they'd have much more trouble.

You gotta read and watch some old books and films that aren’t 100% modern politically correct. I’m not saying you should agree with everything in them but you need to learn where genres came from to understand what those genres are doing today and where media deconstructing old tropes is coming from.

Also, more often than you might think, they’re not actually promoting bigotry so much as “didn’t consider all the implications of something” or just used words that were polite then but considered offensive now.
