VUHIA, toa Mangai of the green (10/11)
Tending to the gardens that surround the great temple, Vuhia finds her position joyful and effortless. After fighting alongside her newfound siblings, she marked their victory by planting a vuata maca tree from her homeland on the mountain--a tree which grew so potent and full of life through her nurturing that the garden has long overgrown its original bounds.
Vuhia's quiet focus fits in well with the rest of her team, but she does what she can to make up for their distance and standoffishness. Any matoran eager enough to track her down in the vast temple garden is welcomed warmly, and the most dedicated few have become skilled foresters in their own right, helping Vuhia tend to the trees.
She wears the great Ouha, mask of healing, and wields a pair of Old Growth Trowels which see most of their use digging through the tough mountain soil. One day Vuhia and Tokat took a walk through the gardens, and what was thought to be them taking their time has turned into a mystery even their toa siblings haven't solved.
#The original wizard#I think realtime wise Vuhia might be the Mangai that got finished last#Both her and Haeka had huge revamps from base designs I was pretty lukewarm about but I don't remember in exactly which order#Either way#I like her a lot#The old green and purple colour scheme is something I've always liked#And dare I say I think the medium lime looks a little nicer than the normal green#Also I believe these legs are aped pretty directly from one of Valtarshol's designs#I do not interact with them much anymore#But they are one of my favourite creators and a huge inspiration#Hope you're doing well#Bionicle#MOC#Toa#Toa Mangai#Toa of the green#Vuhia#Mangai#Metru Nui#MNOG#Mata nui online game#Art#My art

Few days ago, I came up with the idea to create a classy estate for mayor of Willow Creek - got some inspirations from pinterest for exteriors and of course I was pretty sure that fill all the space will be one day with timless furniture. But no, I spent the whole week to finish 2 floors and huge garden. This is the biggest project so far and I'm really happy how it turned out.
House contains 5 bedroom and 4 bathrooms on second floor and open day space on 1 floor.

shine bright like a diamonds..
I think this is going to be my favourite category.
I was inspired to create Aaliyah by the singer Tyla, so let's think of her as a prototype, so here are a few facts about her biography:
Age: 28 years old, birthday June 15, 1996, zodiac sign: gemini
Living: Oasis Springs, Aaliyah lives in a luxurious, expansive mansion in Oasis Springs. Her home has been featured in lifestyle magazines for its blend of modern architecture and artistic decor.
Musical Genre: Aaliyah is a versatile artist who seamlessly combines elements of pop and jazz in a style she calls "Jazz-Pop Soul." This approach, with its rich jazz undertones and catchy pop rhythms, appeals to a wide audience and has made her music memorable.
Influences: she draws inspiration from classic jazz legends like Nina Simone and contemporary pop icons such as Alicia Keys. Her sound includes touches of blues and R&B, giving her songs a soulful, emotionally resonant quality.
Early Beginnings: she started her musical journey at just 16, singing in local clubs where her powerful voice and magnetic presence quickly attracted attention. She was discovered by a producer and signed her first record deal at 20.
Awards and Recognition: Aaliyah has earned multiple Grammy nominations and won the "Best New Artist" award during her first year in the industry. Critics have praised her unique ability to infuse jazz nuances into popular music.
Fashion: her style is both chic and eclectic, often featuring a mix of designer brands with bold, unique statement pieces.
Hobbies: Outside of music, Aaliyah has a passion for art and painting. She also actively supports local artists, hosting exhibitions in her home to showcase their work.
Personal Life: A huge basketball fan, Aaliyah often attends games in her free time. She’s been open about her admiration for a well-known NBA star, with whom she’s rumored to share a close connection. Fans speculate about a budding romance, though she remains tight-lipped about the details.
Lots recommended: The Osasis Restaraunt, SBA Stadium, Techo Azul
With her deep roots in jazz and a flair for pop appeal, Aaliyah Lawson stands out as one of the most dynamic performers of her generation.
All rights belong to the creators, and huge thanks to them for the custom content.
If you have any problems, don't be shy and text me. But hopefully everything will be fine. If you add Aaliyah to your gameplay, tag me under posts, I'll be insanely happy!

hi Justin! just want to say I ADORE ii and it's one of my favourite shows out there; actually inspired me to start my own!
which is a lame segue into my question- do you have any advice for someone wanting to make their own show?
That's so exciting!! Art makes art!
Oh golly uhhhh. There's so so much to say in so many different departments. So. I'll keep it broad and of course anyone can ask more specific questions haha.
My go-to advice tends to be for creators to start as small as possible early on. Even if you aspire to create projects that are huge-in-scale down the line. So much about becoming a great artist involves moving through the stages of your art (whatever type it may be!) from start-to-finish, every step of the process, over and over and over again. So say in show creation, idk if you plan to be hands-on in every department or if you have a lot of help, but that could mean breaking down stories and outlining, writing, recording, constructing audio scenes and boarding, character and prop and background design, animating, music assembly, mixing, finalizing and editing, etc, over and over again. Obviously not every step may be involved in your project depending on what your goal is, but whatever it is that you do, do it sooooooooo many times.
While there's nothing inherently wrong with jumping in and making your first project something say, movie-length, or something immensely complex in scope, I do find it can, for many (not all) be limiting when it comes to learning a lot of fundamental building-blocks in craft. As well, I see a lot of people get lost in an overwhelming project, trying to focus on quality>quantity right out of the gate. But spending the majority of your time just on adding some extra polish as opposed to running through the whole process again and again can only do so much for you. Obviously, a mentality of quality>quantity is great once you have a strong baseline understanding of production. But again, I think it's a huge plus to work on shorts and teeny-projects to start.
Since the above is pretty dry, I'll add an additional fun one. I've found that a lot of newer artists will toss away the concepts that make them joyous in hopes that they can instead create something that fits an objective perception of "professional." Nothing wrong with that, but I strongly advise artists of all levels of experience to toss everything they've love about the world and other media into their work. Their favorite genres and tropes, the stupid inside jokes that make them light up with their friends that they can invite the audience in-on, adaptations of stories that have made them cry. Create the things YOU love to experience. It's fine to let go of what you think the audience wants. Cause that's not easily guessable. But what YOU enjoy is something certain to you. It's sorta like how they say, it's better to go to the gym and do an suboptimal-but-fun workout that keeps you coming every day than a perfect workout that leads you to quitting. Share your joy with the world, and someone will resonate!
Be silly, be cringe, have fun!

The Hamptons Generations
So instead of redressing all of my sims constantly when one of my favourite cc creators releases a new collection, I've made a store so that I can put the new clothes on the mannequins every month. That way it saves time from having to redress so many sims, and its super cute sending your sims shopping 🥲🤍
This lot is going to have multi different stores, I'm going to redo my salon, spa, jewellery store ( thanks to lilaccreatives latest collection ) , a boujie little cafe and a few more 🫣😂. Its very much a WIP but I just wanted to share these screenies as I'm pretty proud how it turned out so far
Hugely inspired by ashleyplays ralph lauren store, she is without a doubt one of my biggest inspirations in the community in more ways than one

What I love about Akudama Drive is how technologically advanced some things are while some are just... not. Including but not limited to:
The fact that some merchants don't take "seal" payments
The appearance of cars on the road (when we know Courier's bike exists, for example)
Executing the biggest baddest Akudama by guillotine (when police robots are perfectly able to execute citizens-turned-Akudama)
(Watch Psycho-Pass by the way. Some of these vibes remind me so much of Psycho-Pass it's not even funny. Psycho-Pass and Akudama Drive are both huge faves of mine.)
The cars in Kansai evidently have some sort of specific motor that looks modern, but the car themselves have a retro appearance. I'm wondering what the creators were aiming for with these differences; I've talked about the takoyaki lady, and it's likely that as a small merchant she is an example of how people who live in poverty don't have easy access to, or don't necessarily benefit from the newest form of payment. (Does Hoodlum have a seal? He does have one of these phone things, with a hologram on top of it instead of a screen. Which I'll come back to in a sec.) If I'm to include my least favourite section of the manga, girlCourier also has a more retro-looking two-wheeler, and she might represent what technology is like outside Kansai.
Cutthroat's public execution had a very crude aspect to it. And I think the use of a guillotine was on purpose. The idea would be that a society that does public executions, that foams at the mouth at the idea of watching an execution, that advertises an execution as the next hype event, is no better than a society of the past. For that reason, I think we can look at the few and far between uses of older technology with a similar lens. In my takoyaki lady "essay", I also mentioned that Akudama probably use cash because they can't use their seal, which is... pretty grounded in reality.
When I was gathering promotional content for RAIN CODE, Kodaka's most recent game, I remember reading in an interview that RAIN CODE actually didn't take place in the future. The reason technology looks different than it does in reality, notably with the existence of umbrellas that float over people's heads at all times, is out of necessity. He thinks that if we currently lived in a world where it rains all the time, like it does in RAIN CODE, we would have used current technology to focus on creating better umbrellas by now. I don't know how much this could apply to Akudama Drive, but assuming Kodaka had a hand in anything worldbuilding related, I'd tend to look at the phone-like device Hoodlum uses with that lens too; it's not necessarily the next evolution of smartphones, but the result of a different world in which the applicable necessities and cultures resulted in slightly different technology.
Which is not to say that screen devices don't exist. But they look different. The device Pupil uses doesn't look all that modern... all the while, Boss can turn the MOON on and off!
And the screen and loading don't look very modern to me, neither does it appear to have a touchscreen, but it also evidently has facial recognition technology from a distance, which isn't really what we expect of real hand devices/phones.
And Courier has a magic hand.
Some of the technology looks very modern, while some looks dated, and some just looks different. If Kodaka had a hand in any of this, I'd say he is inspired by worlds wherein technology evolved differently, rather than worlds where technology has evolved past what we know as current.

The English Professor audio smut
MoondanceWithMe is one of my favourite VA's and creators, and I'm hugely inspired by his professor persona/character. So if you want to hear a strict professor seduce and manipulate you, pushing you to do naughty things with him.
This is a two part improv series, teacher/student relationship, but also involves rape due to withdrawal of consent in the second one (first one is dubious consent). Please check the tags in the Reddit post and in the audios.

9,10,13,15,21,33(if you read anyone else’s stories on tumblr that is if not then skip)!
9. what about your story are you looking to improve on?
I am always looking to improve on my shots and their composition. I feel like I am always learning something new, or favouring a different style, but still haven't found an approach that I am most happy with and often will use shots I'm not totally proud of. I would love for my shots to be better composed to tell more of a story on their own, rather than rely on a sequence of shots all the time. However, I am also lazy and hate being meticulous!
10. is your story fully planned or are you still working things out? is there a definitive end?
The rest of the 1990s is fully planned and nearly finished! The 2000s is loosely planned in terms of the direction it will go (no matter who the heir is), and my end-game plan is already fully planned out (but not executed. That, my friends, will be a huge effort).
13. from basic planning to a finished post, how long does that take you?
Ok I feel like everyone is way more organised when it comes to planning than I am. I think my method would destroy some people to see because it is so chaotic and slap-dash.
I will have a generic idea for what a post is about (like one sentence), and maybe some dot points on what that will involve in terms of location, interactions between characters, arrangement of shots. Then I will go in game and shoot, cull my shots down, and apply a basic generic edit that I use fo all shots. And that's it!
If it requires me downloading or decorating lots, or if it requires outfitting lots of sims, this will take longer - sometimes several sessions of sims, as I only get to play in the evenings most days. However, I am pretty good at getting one post (sometimes two) done in a 3-ish hour session.
15. what have been the highlights of creating your story?
So many! Being a part of a community, being able to get creative and use my imagination, the freedom to tell a story that I want to tell, learning to use different tools for both gameplay and editting to really up my skills, learning how to create custom content. But most of all, meeting other people from around the world who share my interest, who inspire me and entertain me with their content, and who encourage me in my own!
21. choose your least favourite shot so far
This really accidentally-NSFW posing mistake between Leo and Valerie back in the 1960s.
33. recommend another creator’s story!
I will always recommend @aheathen-conceivably (second tag from me babes) because her story is exsquisite. The Vibes are impeccable. Pleease read it all the way from the beginning if you haven't already!

Fandom Creator's Self-Rec Game!
Choose five favourites from your own creations (and tell me why, if you like!), then pass on to at least five other people. I'd love to hear what you're proudest of.
Tagged by @the-pen-pot and actually I think @anonymintea also tagged me a while back? I vaguely remember seeing that in my activity and kind of recoiling at the idea of trying to rec my own stuff. lmfao But I have time to sit down and do it now and I am being so brave. I am just going to rec Merlin fics for this post, since that's what I've been working on and thinking about for the last four years or so, and those fics are the ones that are fresh in my mind. (Honourable mention goes to my Originals series, though, because I spent so much time on that sumabitch.)
All right, five favourites...know that this is excruciating for me and feels very cringe, because I am not normal. lmao
And Down the River's Dim Expanse (Merthur, 13k)
In which Arthur is a water spirit who tries to drown Merlin. Merlin is not impressed.
(This one feels like it kind of just disappeared into the morass of words I've vomited up on the topic of BBC Merlin. I don't think it's got nearly as much attention as any of my other fics, but I'm fond of it because I love fairytales and folklore and specifically anything to do with any kind of creature that lives in the water and especially if said creature tries to drown people. I'd love to do something like this again and have several ideas for fairytales to adopt (i.e. twist completely out of shape).
The Book of Merthur (Merthur, 600k+)
'It was awkward business to ignore a man sitting the length of one knee from you, especially when he had such voluminous ears, and though Arthur made a valiant attempt at it, he had soon to abandon this in favour of grousing at Merlin for a myriad of grievous transgressions, the most pressing of which was his manner of sitting far too close, as if they were mates. This shortcoming was to become a theme when they laid down after passing round a hard cheese and some bread, Merlin in Arthur’s cloak, and Arthur in nothing at all, because his was the greater constitution; and whilst Arthur was working himself into the choicest bit of ground, with the least stones, Merlin suddenly rolled over, mummified within the cloak Arthur’s thoughtfulness had provided, and put his nose into Arthur’s neck.'
The 'yes homo' we all deserved, righting the heterosexual wrongs of canon.
(My thus far 646,363-word essay on the issues I have with canon. I'm eight chapters from the end and already feeling that post-huge-project depression even though I have several ideas for what I want to do next. I really love writing historical fiction and have incorporated that into fics before, but this fic has shown me that I really really love writing fantasy heavily inspired by history: it's the same amount of research, with the added bonus that I can do whatever the hell I want. Also, as mentioned in my first rec, I really love fairytales and folklore, and this gives me the chance to incorporate them in a way that straight up historical fiction doesn't allow. Basically, this fic has allowed me to shove my boner for Arthurian legend and medieval history down people's throats at the same time. Ain't free gay fanfiction where I can do what I like great?)
Fools by Heavenly Compulsion (Merthur, ?k)
In which Arthur is gay and besotted, Merlin is bisexual and oblivious, and they have to get their shit together through WhatsApp.
(I have no idea how many words this technically is, because it's comprised entirely of screenshots of fake social media posts. I've read a few social media fics and enjoyed them and got a whole bug up my ass wanting to try it. I thought it would be an interesting challenge because it would take away so many things that a writer can usually rely on to tell a story, and for me specifically it would completely cut me off from any kind of descriptive writing. So basically I cut off all my limbs except like one arm and decided to see how I got on with that. And it HAS been really interesting to try and shape a narrative through texts and Instagram and twitter posts and still try and convey emotions and distinct personalities with such limitations on what I can actually show. It's also a lot of fun putting the posts together, although you can definitely fall down a deep rabbit hole of trying to pick just the right photo.)
Whereat the Two Sword on the Field of Death a Deathless Love (Merthur, 131k)
In a land of myth and a time of magic, the destiny of a great kingdom rests on the shoulders of a young boy. But not quite in the way you think. 'The Once and Future King'/Merlin mashup; now with 50% more gay.
(This was the first Merlin fic I ever wrote, and an homage to one of my favourite books. It was also me trying to get the show rewrite monkey off my back and distinctly failing at that, since I went on to write one that is over 600,000 words and still not complete. It's also proof that I am 100% capable of rewriting the show in under 150k, I just chose to inflict over 600,000 words on anyone insane enough to sit down and read a 600k gay porn version of BBC Merlin.)
And Time and the World Are Ever in Flight (Merthur, 39k)
In which Arthur returns to the 21st century, learns about Google, and finally realises his dream of running away to a farm with Merlin.
(Listen, the finale damaged me, I'm still damaged, and I tried to undo it with nearly 40k of tea and baby sheep. A.K.A. the one where Arthur returns and they run a sheep farm in Ireland together and finally figure out they're gay for each other and neither of them is alone ever again.)
Tagging @aemelia (you will have to rec all of yours lmao) @kirythestitchwitch @thetourguidebarbie and anyone else who wants to do this and has multiple fics.

Do you have any top 5 favourite Meronia creators in the fandom? Like writers and artists
Oh hi! The ask is getting more and more interesting. My favorite list will contain more writers than artists. Because first I can't write. Secondly it was the fanfictions that brought me to this ship (I didn't know Meronia was a thing when I first read the manga. I am sorry I was blind lol). In the past I was more active in fanfiction.net and deviantArt but now all of creators there are inactive so my list will be active ones from AO3 and Tumblr :3
1/ @madmeridian she has a huge library dedicated for Meronia in various different and creative AUs. I really hate their fates in the canon manga so it is nice to see them have a happy life in other AUs. The writing is soft and delicate =v= I even like her angst and pregnant fics (2 things I also dislike for my ship lol) - well... kind of bookmarked all of her works *blush* I am really looking forward to her comeback =v= 2025 eh?
2/ @empressofthewind beside from her fics (which I kind of bookmarked almost her entirely library ehem), her analyses are also exceptionally fun to read xDD (love her sense of humor) every ask is answered with deep and thoughtful long-ass essay, which shows both her respect to the fans and her love for the ship!
3/ @neallo I hold another level of respect for this creator, not only for her writing contribution for the ship, but also her effort to grow the community bigger. To me she is a silent heroin who not only does her role well but also goes beyond and supports/encourages other writers/artists/hobbyists so that they carry on with the ship and always gives off a positive and inspirational vibe. Thank you big girl. You are queen of creator <3<3<3
(I have never told her before but I secretly love all of her works where Near is submissive *cough*)
4/ @m1chael-langd0n Near is kinda OOC in their fics (which normally I also dislike for my favorite characters) but the writing is so good that I turn to like them xDDD (and even open a whole new fantasy world inside my head which has kept me entertained for several weeks now). I hope they will finish their fics some day soon <3 bless you and your daughter <3
5/ To be honest Meronia fanarts are very modest compared to my other fandoms. But thankfully I've found this artist's pivix and Tumblr accounts so I am kinda content now =v= @user-null love their style <3
Another bonus artist, whom I don't know name and can't find their original gallery, and only own 3 of their works (if you know please gimme the link. Thanks in advance) T_T but they draw girl!Near and the style is so close to the original manga. I love it so much!!! They make such a cute couple.
Thanks for the ask! Sorry for my long-ass answer lol I feel the need to express to my love and gratitude for my favorite creators xDD

The jewelry maker that I asked to make a bracelet for Jon did a big surprise today. <3
So, that's how the story goes. I turned several times to order presents to my friends from this talented and hardworking girl. I saw her works being displayed at my city's festival years ago. She came up back then with a unique idea of beaded bracelets with Morse code. Her beaded works are quite laconic and charming and I witnessed her creative path all these years and how her Morse bracelets developed and how much sense it was making for her to code some support in them.
Since the war I had an idea of again ordering something from her, as like many creators she stayed in the country facing all the cruelty of the war. She's one of the creators that is always open to some sort of collaboration. I saw her making a Ukrainian pattern bracelet some time ago and had a crazy idea of disrupting it with my friend's favourite song's lyric + specific colours that were associated with the music video (it was Free by F + tM). And she did a gorgeous job on that! Another idea was to order a bracelet for Jon to give to him during or before my first ever CP gig! I had an idea for colours, type of the bracelet and phrase. She loved the idea and wished luck with seeing my favourite guitarist and very enthusiastically got down to work. That bracelet travelled quite a while and by some miracle I got it just a week before the concert itself! I managed to hand that bracelet to Phil together with the guitar strap I've been working on since January 1st. I hoped to see Jon wearing at least that bracelet any of the days as I was determined that Phil gave it to him (and he did as it also appeared on Sunday where my tweet was casually stalked with "Jonny says THANK YOU 💙" lol). Unfortunately, it didn't happen but he wore 2 bracelets one of which was extremely important as it was dedicated to a lost person in the fandom. I still was hoping to make Ruslana (that's her name) happy with saying more than the fact that I handed her work. I was obsessively looking at photos from all other gigs but nope. Anyway, eventually I told her that the bracelet found its person and thanked again and posted in stories about that. She replied that it made her day and gave her the energy she needed (she hasn't been on socials for a while, I assume something personal was also going on). She asked me about the concerts and I tried to tell her that I was in the front row just in front of Jon, describing how important it was to see him, how the second concert was wonderful and such stuff, very very shortly. She was very inspired by that and emotional, she said that all of that gave a special meaning to her work. In some days she came back to me asking for permission to cite some of this message about my concert experience, as that gave her a new idea. I was surprised and agreed.
Today she posted a beautiful video of her working (her son was also playing around there on the background) with... Actually reciting this whole message out loud. O_O I didn't expect it to be in this format and like this and it was so cool and I felt a bit awkward because I made a mistake there and she was very clearly emotional reading it *sobs and hides*. Didn't know that my fan obsession can end up being such a huge inspiration to someone's work and belief in good things???

The message was sent to you because someone loved your writing and stories. ❤️
▪️What are your writing suggestions for newcomers, or what would you have liked to know when you first started?

▪️How do you come up with new ideas and develop them?
▪️Any messages for your readers or fellow writers?
You are welcome to answer if you have the time and desire, or you can simply respond to the questions that come to mind.
💐Thank you for your work as a writer and as a member of this fandom!💐
OMG anon, what a sweet message! Absolutely made my day! I'm so glad that you liked my fics. ✨💖🥹✨💖🥹✨💖🥹 And wow, these are some great questions!
Extremely long response under the cut because I simply... have no chill LMAO.
What are your writing suggestions for newcomers, or what would you have liked to know when you first started?
It's so daunting to post your first fic for so many reasons, but just... go for it. Write what you want and fuck what anyone else thinks. Writing should be something that you do because it gives you joy, and you shouldn't cater the things you write to align with popular tropes (unless those are things you actually feel inspired to write). Guarantee that somewhere out there, you made someone's day with your fic, even if they didn't comment. Fanfiction and writing are about creativity and giving yourself permission to meet yourself where you are, whether that's being silly, escaping the shittiness of the world for a few hours, exploring something deeper and more vulnerable, revolting against canon, or whatever else.
Also on that vein, leave kudos, comments, and asks for your favourite authors! As much as we like to say that we write for ourselves, it also is immensely helpful to receive positive feedback. It doesn't need to be a hugely detailed comment... keyboard mashing and emoji flailing are just as important. As a writer (and reader!), support your fellow writers! Don't be afraid to interact with people you recognize on your socials... we're just seven monkeys in a trench coat on a good day, and typically love flailing about fandom with others. Being able to chat and create with other creators and fans online has been an incredible experience for me. (I'M STARING AT YOU MY MUTUALS 👀👀👀)
How do you write different personalities and perspectives? Could you explain how you came up with the manner you written your favorite or any character?
Oooh this is a fun one! I actually prefer to switch POVs in my writing, because I like to play with the concept of an unreliable narrator on both sides, and then switch abruptly give the reader insight into other characters perspective. I think it's a fun experience as a reader.
As far as characterizations, I think about the differences in how they might act, how they speak, their mannerisms, and right down to the differences in their vocabulary. For example, Anakin is more likely to be blunt and say exactly what's on his mind, whereas Obi-Wan is more likely to use more interesting words and gilded speech. Adding these pieces is usually part of my editing process to! I'll typically start by getting the plot and words on the page, and then edit the characterizations in later.
... and then, you know, sprinkle in some of my own head canon for the characters. Because 😇creative license✨😇.
What do you do when you have writer's block?
Writing sprints in a fandom server! Honestly, sometimes I'm stuck simply on principal, and sprinting gives me the motivation (because I'm the type of person who works better under pressure). If that doesn't work, I try switching to a different WIP or chatting with a friend about it (you'd be surprised how effective a simple conversation with your beta can be). And barring that... look for a beta project. I actually started out in fandom as a beta, and I find that a brief switch between writing and editing can kickstart the creative juices!
How do you come up with new ideas and develop them?
Music. Sometimes lyrics give me ideas for new project. But a lot of the time, it's the feel of certain songs that inspire ideas for new fic. Sometimes, I write from experience, or write about things I'd like to experience. In a lot of cases, writing is a very personal experience for me. I also very much enjoy participating in the fandom prompt festivals. There's just something about being inspired by a random prompt from a stranger and potentially making their day. 💟💟💟
Any messages for your readers or fellow writers?
Just that I love you all, adore the obikin fandom, and am incredibly grateful for the experience I've had so far. This has been the best fandom experience I've ever had (and I've been kicking around online for 15 years now). I wouldn't change it for anything, and it wouldn't be possible without the dedicated creators and lovely readers to cheer us on! 💗💗💗💗💗💗
Also if you feel inclined... drop me an anon ask with links to your favourite fics if you would like! Bonus points if it's a fic you wrote and are proud of. I want to read all the things, and maybe have a party in your comments!🫂🫂🫂

You can’t start a fire without a spark by @33max (rated M, 3040 words, max/daniel)
“Well, we’re in luck!” Daniel giggles from somewhere behind him, and when Max turns around he’s holding up a porn magazine. A nude girl wearing a cowboy hat is on the cover. It’s definitely not Max’s thing, but he supposes Daniel won’t know that, they’ve never… spoken about that. And why would they now? When it’s just them? It’s not like Max is going to have a romantic or sexual relationship, well, ever again.
Thank you again to everyone that participated, remember to show the creators some love! ♥️

Seeing you’re doing better made my week. I’ve been a long time follower. Your progress as not only a creator but a person (from what you share) is inspiring.
Favourite thing to eat/drink as of late? Mine is chocolate chip eggos.
Hi this ask nearly made me cry in the middle of my biology lecture /pos
Messages like these remind me why I love content creation so much, and why I miss it :( I miss the community dearly.
Thank you for your kind words 💕 there’s times in my life where every day is a means of survival. I’m not recovered, and I don’t think I’ll ever be 100% okay, but I’m trying my best.
To answer your question: Oreo ice cream. I have a huge sweet tooth and it’s ice cream season now that it’s getting hot where I live :)
LOTS more below about mental health; read at your own risk (talking about OCD and the severity of mental health struggles)
TW// graphic depictions of violence, self h*rm, intrusive thoughts
When I say every day is a means of survival; I mean that sometimes “my best” looks like getting to the end of the day. Sometimes “my best” is getting UP and just surviving until I can be unconscious again.
I try to be reserved with what I share online, as I know as soon as something is posted- it’s there forever. I haven’t gotten into the specifics of my mental health struggles in a very long time mainly due to my reclaiming of privacy (I was an open book as a teen), but there are things I think are important to share, and in doing so actually help me recover.
So I’ll talk about my OCD a bit here.
Right. So I have clinical depression, general anxiety disorder, and social anxiety disorder. I have had these diagnosis since I was 15.
But in… I think September of 2023? I was diagnosed with obsessive compulsive disorder (aka OCD). It’s a type of anxiety disorder!
This was not only my first time being diagnosed with something as an adult, but also the first time anyone had ever told me that my behaviour aligns with OCD. I realize this is because obsessive compulsive disorder is not talked about very often, and like every mental illness, many people are relatively misinformed about what it actually is.
If you don’t know what OCD is; I’ll explain that here:
OCD is a mental disorder in which the person experiences repetitive and persistent intrusive thoughts. Everyone has intrusive thoughts, but not everyone experiences them at the same frequency and persistence.
Intrusive thoughts are NOT: “I wanna dye my hair blue”. That’s what we call an IMPULSIVE thought.
INTRUSIVE thoughts can be something like: “I’m going to jump in front of the car.” “You should cut your hand.” “When you open this door there’s going to be a dead body there”.
The “obsessions” are the intrusive thoughts. These thoughts can lead to repetitive behaviours that someone with OCD carries out in order to feel better. These reactions to the intrusive thoughts are called “compulsions”.
For example; maybe one of my intrusive thoughts is that someone is watching me. My compulsion for the thought is to look behind me - to prove to my brain that there ISN’T someone watching me.
I’m not a psychologist, so take this with a grain of salt - but this is how I would explain it as someone who lives with OCD.
Now, there’s multiple types of OCD, but I’ll leave that for you to research.
My biggest struggle with OCD so far has been the realization of how difficult it makes living to be. Before I was diagnosed, I was beginning to believe I was losing my mind /gen.
My intrusives (what I call intrusive thoughts) tend to be gruesome; witnessing acts of violence, being a victim of an act of violence, someone I love being a victim, or committing acts of self harm. They also focus on gruesome imagery. I have hyperphantasia- This means I see clear pictures in my head 24/7. This is great sometimes, but when my intrusives decide to torture me; they can manifest as horrifically violent imagery.
I have had to stop watching things like true crime due to the severity of these intrusives and how often in a day I’m affected by them. (I’d say on average I experience a minimum of 5-10 intrusive thoughts a day, always regarding the same topics.)
I’ve discovered it’s why I enjoy a busy lifestyle - and why my depression tends to act up during times like summer/spring/winter break. When I’m left with nothing to do, I’m left with my thoughts, and my thoughts can be scary.
To put all my feelings about it into smaller words: the realization that I can’t escape this has had a severe impact on my life. I live in my body. There is no escape from my own mind, and knowing that it’s my own psyche that’s torturing me every day is a hard pill to swallow. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy. I wish no one would have to experience this.
Sometimes I feel like I’m being dramatic about living with OCD, but those feelings are short-lived. When I say that it’s torture, I mean it is torture.
One of my favourite books- turtles all the way down by John Green - has a main protagonist that suffers from contamination OCD.
Aza, the main protagonist, constantly refers to her OCD as a demon. Towards the end of the book, she says “I wasn’t possessed by a demon. I was the demon.” - Chapter 19, page 229
Turtles all the way down has an incredibly effective representation of OCD that hit home for me, and I would recommend reading it. It’s also just a great book!
I hope this shines some light on what OCD is and how it may affect someone. If you have any questions, I would be happy to try and answer!
This was a little bit hard to write, and I’m sure it’s not something that’s easy to read- but something that I’ve come to understand about mental health as a whole is that it isn’t meant to be digestible.
Struggling with mental health is a horrible experience. It’s hard to live through, therefore it’s hard to read about.

Creator's Corner - mrfeenysmustache
Let's start off easy: how did you become a fan of the Inuyasha fandom?
An old friend of mine from middle school made me stay up late with her one night and watch an episode. I was immediately obsessed. I’ve been here loving these dogs ever since.
Art or Fanfic: which work of yours are you most proud of?
Oh, man. This is one of those questions that’s hard. The SessKag fic I’m most proud of would probably be The Arrangement. It was my first foray into writing smut, and I’m so proud of how it came out and how I grew as a writer with it.
Is there anything you don't like to draw?
Probably gore and action and stuff like that. I’m just not a super fan of that stuff anyway so drawing it would be difficult to have fun with.
What are your favourite fanfic tropes to write?
So many!!! But I love love love angst with a happy ending. Any of the tropes that cause the characters grief before they cross the happy finish line I’m a HUGE sucker for.
You're in a creative mood: how do you decide whether to write or to draw?
I decide to draw cuz it takes less brain power than sitting and writing lmao
Where do you find inspiration?
I get a lot of inspiration from music. I have several stories and art pieces directly inspired by songs. Movies/shows as well.
If you could spend one day in the feudal era - what would you do?
Hide.
Describe your dream project.
I’ve had a SessKag plot brewing for a while that I think of so often, but I’ve had writers block for the last year that’s made it hard to write. Arranged marriage, political intrigue, fantasy world-building…. I’m very excited about it.
If you could get the power/skill of one Inuyasha character: what would you choose?
I wish I had the muscle to haul around that giant boomerang like Sango does cuz… damn.
You can find @mrfeenysmustache on Ao3 and Tumblr! And please check out our Creator’s Corner Masterlist for all our past creators!

Hey there, 66! Hope you're doing great. I have been going through your account for the past few hours (this reminds me of that one time I stayed up till 2 am as I appreciated all the artworks on your Instagram) so I know you've heard this several times, but I wanted to say it myself too: your work is wonderful. Believe me, I absolutely love it!
I found City of Blank years ago, during its first season. I read it all, and was quite impressed with the concept, intrigued by the plot, and in love with the characters. But before the next season started, I dropped out of reading Webtoons completely, as far as I remember. Long story short, I revisited Webtoon recently, read a few episodes of City of Blank, and was hooked. Yep. I binge-read the entire rest of the episodes in... three to five days?
So I want to commend you on your amazing concept, beautiful and eye-catching art, plot that keeps me reading late into the night (and at the dining table, between my studies, every single chance I get), the characters (really, they're very well-written — please don't doubt that — and unique, with different stories and personalities, I just love them), and the themes too (incorporated nicely, and it does make me wonder what it means to be a human). The way you write grey characters is one of the best things in your story, I feel.
(I feel like I should give you specific examples of what I like, but I have a tendency of talking too much, as you can see, so this will get way too long, I think... and sorry about the already huge chunks of text. but I hope this make you feel happy somehow)
Alright, now onto my actual questions. They're actually not related to the webcomic itself, since I really can't think of anything interesting... But your story is really good, so here are some queries I have about writing in general.
Do you have any tips for thinking of ideas? About concepts, plot, whatever; how to really get your brain in that mode, you know.
How do you create such vibrant characters? My characters are so similar... there are at least three pairs of nearly-identical characters. And how do you make them flawed yet still so likable?
They are pretty general questions, my apologies. It's just that, you know, since I'm getting to interact with the creator of one of my current favourite stories, why not learn something from them? You can just answer with your personal processes or whatever, I just wished to know how you do it.
I'm really looking forward to the next episode (but take your time, I'm okay with waiting). Pretty sad that this is the last season though. I'll miss it. Could you maybe tell me the estimated date of return and how many more episodes we'll have? Just a rough idea will do too.
That's all. (At this point it'll come as a relief to you 😂) Have a wonderful week ahead, lots of love, and know that there are lots of people who genuinely enjoy your work, you adorable shark! ❤️
(also, don't know why I'm telling you, but this is my first ever interaction on Tumblr with literally anyone) (cool site, I like the easy formatting)
(If you've read this entire thing, thank you. Did I bother you too much? I hope not.)
Hey there! Gonna do my best to answer this since it's been in my inbox for a while, but apologies if it's not the most coherent as my head's still in a bit of a fog from a cold.
First off, thank you for the kind words. I remember they made my day when I first got this ask, but they made it again as I'm waking up w/ a throbbing head ache and coughing my lungs out from the NYCC 2023 Con Crud™.
Anyway, gonna answer your questions the best I can, especially because I'm not entirely sure what the best way to answer these kinds of questions are-
Do you have any tips for thinking of ideas? About concepts, plot, whatever; how to really get your brain in that mode, you know.
I think one thing I like to shape a lot of my concepts around is making something unordinary ordinary. I've talked about it before, but one of the inspirations behind blanks is shadow people, like the ghosts. They're so horrifying and creepy to me, and I thought it would be neat if I made a world where the most creepy and scary thing to me was just...super ordinary and mundane. Like a world where you go into your living room and you're like "Man, that shadow person is still standing in front of my tv. How obnoxious."
A lot of my upcoming ideas kind of focus around this concept too. What if we lived in a world where demons were just every day citizens that went to work and school with us? What if we lived in a world where nobody feared death and was excited for it? What if we lived in a world where half the population was in prison? I can't say every single story idea I have falls into this, but I'd say a lot of them do and I find it's often a kick off point for a lot of my ideas.
How do you create such vibrant characters? My characters are so similar... there are at least three pairs of nearly-identical characters. And how do you make them flawed yet still so likable?
Do I make them likable? Sometimes I can't tell when I look at characters like Lyss haha. Because I think she's a victim of how I write characters, which is just... I dunno, write them like they're real people. Everybody is mad at the decisions Lyss made but... I'm sorry. I'll forever die on the hill that everyone are hypocrites and 90% of people would have done the same thing in her shoes. Only a flawless, benevolent, and frankly kind of stupid, person would have just...let Rex go in those circumstances, evil other half be damned. He was still a danger who proved he couldn't control himself, and the same way you'd probably report your best friend who was driving raving drunk after he just smashed into someone, she reported a dangerous person. Even if people hate her for it, I wrote what any person would have done in that situation. And that's how I try to write all my characters, for better or for worse. A lot of Rex's stupid decisions are dictated by his anxiety and depression, and I know from firsthand experience how being in that state of mind can influence your decisions and overall outlook on life and the people who love you, despite what you may think. I guess my advice is just to give them human flaws. A lot of people don't like Nia because she's manipulative, but I write her as a character who 100% practices what she preaches. Yeah, she "gas lit" Rex into joining Blan Corp, but she also 1000% believed it was the best thing for him.
Desmond probably comes off as the more "flawless" characters, but his own self-loathing and... catholic blank guilt is a big part of what pushed Rex away. In the time when Rex was questioning and hating himself for being a blank, why would he ever go the one person who hates himself for being a blank more than him? When he could go to the person (Nia) who celebrates him being a blank, and reminds him he can be loved for being one.
Anyway, that's enough rambling for now. Hopefully that gives you some to chew on.
