I keep forgetting how much of South Park's humor is sold by the timing and voice acting until I try to post the jokes in text form and realize that 90% of the punch is just GONE

#There's some that work on paper like “I'm not just sure; I'm HIV positive”#But then there's stuff like Craig telling off the main 4 in Pandemic Special. The way he just RAGS on them with that dry delivery #It would not have been nearly as impactful if he sounded furious #Or when Eric accused Stan of stealing Mr. Jefferson from him; but Stan was like “he just showed up here 🙁”#The dialogue in that scene wasn't even funny; but the contrast of Eric's aggression with Stan's apathy made it hilarious #Etc. I swear 95% of the jokes in the series are like this #South park
