stop willfully admitting you people kidnap random Palestinians off the street to have a brothel of potential rape victims for Israeli soldiers and maybe people wont hate you and think youre all baby killing rapists who need to be dealt with by force. literally attacking each other in the streets at the mere thought of your soldiers not being allowed to rape and sexually torture prisoners. never forget even the highest Israeli lawmakers are subhumans animals that vocally admit to having an uncontrollable urge to rape Palestinians and expecting Israeli society to provide them rape victims at a moments notice. meanwhile you people make up these mass rape stories on october 7th and cant even pay an Israeli woman enough to pretend to be a victim for political theatres sake just lying with no evidence while at the same time vocally proudly admitting to be a state allowing and encouraging open rape for your executives. subhuman animals who have the kidnap and rape children baked into your laws like you have the death of children baked into your so called entertainment. Just like the Europeans slave owning eugenicists that colonized America and made up narratives about black men being rapists when in truth the white slave owning class systematically raped enslaved Africans for centuries. every accusation is a confession with colonizer scum but with Israelis it is truly 100x worst because they have no qualms against flaunting their brutality and lack of civilization and humanity
"what ever happened to antiwar sentiments" probably died when you freaks started watching people blow up for fun over 10 fucking years ago. its a sign of a healthy society if pro-genocide pro-war pro-rape pro-baby death scum is made to fear for their lives and thinks everyone wants them dead. although you people have never been made to fear for your lives the way you deserve. hopefully that changes. if you dont want to face those consequences renounce the terror state of Israel and move back whatever western country you came there from. if youre not willing to do that be prepared to integrate into a liberated decolonized Palestine and work the rest of your fucking life to pay restitution for the damage you people have done to the land and the people of Palestine

if you cant do that than yes its better if youre all killed than if youre allowed to bomb, rape, torture, and flatter people with bulldozers in mass. its not a taboo stance its the same response people had to the Nazis. if your whole society is designed around killing people in mass your whole society is a scourge on the planet sorry. just stop being obsessed with killing and death and be ready to serve out your prison sentence and you have nothing to worry about. im sure there are plenty of non-rapist non-genocidal jews that have nothing to worry about as ive seen you lot physically attacking them, calling for them to raped, and compiling their names on lists. you know they exist

JOYCE MESSIER - "The nations who colonized this isola called theirs *Mundi*. The World. It was all they knew, all they thought would be. That there would be something more was a gamble. Akin to another world -- or life after death."
JOYCE MESSIER - "The pale was thought to be impregnable, perpetual." She points northwest. "Irene La Navigateur, the Queen of Suresne, sent *eight* expeditions, one after the other, into the mass at the edge of the world. Five of the crews did not return. Two did, but had lost their minds."
RHETORIC - Each of those expeditions would have been led by an admiral. Sounds like a purge. Like she was purging her political rivals.
YOU - "Sounds *political*."
JOYCE MESSIER - She nods. "There was no precedent for such an undertaking. People thought she was punishing the admirals, or had gone mad, or both..."
JOYCE MESSIER - "Until after *years* of trial and error -- and the development of a *strict* psychological regime imitating the creation process of poetry..."
CONCEPTUALIZATION - Called Volta do Mar, or Return from the Sea.
JOYCE MESSIER - "The eighth expedition returned, sane and intact. They told of a new continent of matter. They told the queen and her councillor, Dolores Dei, that the pale had begun to condense, day after day, hour after hour, minute after minute."
JOYCE MESSIER - "Slowly raining down until it formed a vast ocean."
YOU - "This ocean?"
JOYCE MESSIER - She nods. "The phenomenon has never again been encountered. For a time the crew thought they were experiencing a hallucination. The mast-hand proclaimed 'L´Insulinde! L´Insulinde!' -- the signal to wake up."
JOYCE MESSIER - "But they could not. They were sane and conscious, as islands began to appear on the horizon... There are 78,000 uninhabited islands in the Insulindian archipelago, officer. The freckled face of god," she smiles.
CONCEPTUALIZATION - You've thought it a million times.
YOU - "'After life, death -- after death, life again. After the world, the pale -- after the pale, the world again.'"

#cupid.txt#im very glad we're anti colonialism dont get me wrong and solidarity with all indigenous peoples suffering under colonialism#but i sometimes wonder if kids-and others who just dont know about history i guess- know that their passion can#be used where they live as well#like we're still in a colonized country we're still living with the history of genocide and mass cultural upheaval#if you read anything about how the land and peoples here were treated during colonial times--it was apocalyptic in nature#please care about the history of the land you live on

this might be a cold take I don't really know, but being on the Strip in FNV always has me torn between "gambling is so cool" and "every single person who lives directly on the strip went through forced assimilation by Mr. house"
Benny is a victim of colonization, I feel bad for the guy
#☢️#☢️think about it#all of the major factions (except yesman) do colonization#House is the only one that goes the assimilation route with the 3 Families#ok well he did threaten people with mass murder too but still#I do like to make jokes about House essentially forcing people to roleplay for his Las Vegas fixation#but to be serious about it he is forcing people to essentially act a culture they were violently forced into#and I never really see people talk about that ?#except that one person I saw mention it sorta#to the person who draws all the good benny x arcade art im talking about you#fallout#fallout new vegas#fnv#benny gecko

I got curious and so was doing some research on the etimology of the names of states and biomes in Brazil, and apparently most of it is named after words in the languages of the native peoples! Examples:
Caatinga comes from Tupi-Guarani: Ka'a (vegetation) + Tinga (white, clear)
Roraima comes from Ianomâmi: roro or rora (green) + ímã (mountain).
Acre comes from Apurinãs word aquiri, which means River of Alligators.
Pará comes from Tupi-Guarani pa'ra, which means Sea River, because the river was so wide it looked like the sea.
Like, most of the states whose names aren't actually words in Portuguese (for example, Rio De Janeiro (January River (?)) come from Tupi-Guarani, and I think that's neat
#good luck pronouncing the names in your head! it's all in portuguese. get your lazy ass up and put in on the translator :T#the other tribes deserve more recognition tho#like for real all these people deserve more for the shit they were put through during colonization#The dudes in ugly clothing just came in turned people christian raped the women killed a lot of people and then exploited everyone#portugal got a major L later on because they stole the gold and exported a lot of stuff and nowadays brazil is richer than them#no hate on portuguese people. i hate th ehistorical figures who were mass rapists+murderers but the people who are alive today are chill#daily reminder that wiping out cultures and religions that don't align with your own is wrong and will make future anthropologists hate you#Orion's yap sessions <3#brazil#oh no am i going to have a hyperfixation on the languages of the native people? Duolingo you better add Tupi-Guarani imma eat that shit up

Keep seeing the videos from Gaza. Blood-curdling, unimaginable horror. Death toll currently at 830. Displaced 187,500, 4000 injured, some of them maimed for life. Hospitals at capacity with no medical aid able to come through. They're now washing injuries with soap because there's no antiseptic.
They're murdering them in cold blood while the world watches.
Westerners, watch the news footage. Remember that half of Gaza is children under 15. That they've not only blockaded them from all sides but they're bombing the Egypt border crossing too. Understand this is what they did in Afghanistan and Iraq, and that your people watched and cheered. Know that this is happening with the full support and aid of your governments and leaders. This is a massacre. This is genocide. And you're watching it happen live.
If any of you murderous freaks still think any of this is justified I hope from the bottom of my heart that your own house falls on top of you.
#my hands are still cold from seeing that#heart breaking in half#remembering this is exactly what we did to the Tamils#i want Biden apologists and people circulating posts about how great he is to drop dead#arabs‚ palestinians‚ all the Middle Eastern refugees reliving their horrors through the footage rn—#i'm sorry. i'm so goddamn sorry#israel is a terrorist state#free palestine#america is a terrorist state#tw genocide#war crimes#tw mass murder#tw violence#knee of huss#colonization#current events

The ending and the shit dialogue choice they gave us is not canon for me! No thank you! I don't find homelessness funny actually! And neither would my WoL who is also from a trading based society! Actually I'm taking the character! She's mine now! Her and my WoL are bffs now! Nova's going to teach her how society works! Fuck it!

time is a flat circle where we watch a country go to another country and randomly will civilians because "what if they're the enemies haha we totally aren't clearing people out to steal their land" etc and we all go "wow thats fucking messed up, good thing it won't happen again!" and then the exact same thing happens right now and the same people somehow are just incapable of accepting that fact that we are living through history and letting the thing we said wont happen again fucking happen again.
#the same ideologies causing all the pain back then are still causing pain now.#you need to realise any retaliation no matter the initial cause that causes mass civilian death is historically regarded as a bad thing#maybe some natives attack the white people coming into their land? yeah lets genocide them.#vietnamese conflict that america barges in on because it has a huge fucking head about itself?#lets kill all the vietnamese villagers we see because anyone could be the enemy.#oh and if they fight back because theyre enraged about the destruction of their home and murder of their families? proof that we were right.#we should bomb them and kill them and gas them. all for anti communism!#their fault for fighting back!#extremists drive two planes into a building? well we just gotta go can start fucking shooting every arab civilian we see and start a war.#because its obviously their fucking fault.#oh and yeah lets drop a nuclear bomb on japan because theyre not surrendering fast enough. on all those civilians.#oh can the car bombings in northern ireland and stuff? yeah lets just go to a stadium full of people that just wanted to watch football-#-and start shooting.#<--actions that have been repeatedly performed forever and ever#<--and all of them only go down well with insane people who think deporting all immigrants or mandatory school gennital checks a good thing#warfare is fucking stupid and so is colonization. you have too little faith in the common person and too much in power hungry governments#dROOLING AT OIL. VIBRATING AND ROCK HARD FOR THAT SWEET FOREIGN OIL AND LAND. COMPANIES GIDDY WITH THE PROSPECT OF KILLING NATIVES.

This is just a map of New England (minus Connecticut the fake New England state)
#text post#new england#source: boston 25 news website: believe it or not massachusetts is not the most irish state new study finds#18.9% of mass residents have irish ancestry#really this is not surprising at all. massachusetts is the most population-dense state by far with the most immigrants#and new hampshire? ask anyone where their family lived before they came to new hampshire. it was massachusetts#new hampshire is full of ethnically irish and italian and polish catholics whose families have been here long enough#to assimilate and move to the suburbs and become xenophobic and anti-immigrant.#literally bothers me so much when ppl named molly o'flannigan and patrick sullivan talk shit about dorchester lawrence etc#and other immigrant-dense areas in new england. i'm like baby your grandparents lived there#well or at least that's my experience#new england still does have a shocking amount of wasps whose families have been here since the fuckin mayflower#i dont have a direct link to that in my own family but it's very strange how that is taught to new england children as like#'our' heritage in schools. plymouth plantation and the puritans and all that. you're weirdly made to identify w it#and like as time goes on#just factually that only represents the population of ppl who live and are raised here less and less.#not to mention it does nothing to address DIVERSITY in the area. but i suppose there's like a local mythos#we have to teach a story to children and it has to be a 'we' story and that story has to be pilgrims#bc the story has to start at colonization and not expand after that. thats too complex. happy thanksgiving?#new england white people have a habit of thinking theyre irish catholic anglo-protestant settlers and they built this country#they dont parse out their own identity at all and they certainly don't want to have to consider other ppl's.#wow i didnt mean this to turn into a culture-critical rant im sure most of my followers arent even from here so idk what this means 2 u guy#happy saint patrick's day!

Watching white tumblr users interact with black things is funny because they will always misapprehend things and just generally be reductivist.
So I’m seeing a lot of people going “haha Kendrick got awards for being a hater,” “Drake lost so bad lol.”
And I’m just massaging my temples at the irony of nonblack people en masse misunderstanding a song called “They not like us.”
Kendrick has a whole verse in the song breaking down the commodification of blackness and the history of colonization apropos to Black Americans. That’s what the whole Drake beef was about btw. It was about Drake’s pattern of ripping off black culture just to peddle it to the uncaring masses and make millions off of it, while the smaller artists he steals from get no recognition (money). Drake was getting called the rap goat by nonblack people, he was getting looked at as the greatest in a tradition he has no roots in. Kendrick’s distaste for Drake was years in the making. FdSignifier has some great vids from like 2020 about Drake’s rise in the rap world. There’s also Pusha T’s diss from 2018 called “The story of Adidon.” My point is, Drake is a culture vulture and the Drake v. Kdot beef was about reclaiming what Drake (and other culture vultures) stole.
Drake is also problematic for other reasons, e.g. sexually exploiting women, allegedly participating in sex trafficking, and so on.
It does a disservice to Kdot’s message to reduce this beef to an apolitical 1v1. It was never a 1v1, it was always political, it was always about the broader culture, it was always a culture war, etc.

When South Africa dismantled apartheid, it did not end with the expulsion of all white South Africans. They became part of the new South Africa, just without the criminal discriminatory oligarchic powers the apartheid goverment had. When Bolivia recognized its indigenous heritage and became a plurinational state, it did not mean that people of European descent were expelled in masse. It meant the recognition of the previously discriminated indigenous and mestizo people of Bolivia and the beginning of a path of integration and revalidation.
What I mean is that it's ridiculous to think that decolonization inherently means mass suffering and relocation, that's what colonization does. Decolonization is recognizing the crimes of colonization, but more importantly, material, political and social steps to give power and self-determination to the exploited native people who were victims of colonialism and imperialism.
In multicultural societies, you don't go like in that Peter Griffin meme with a skin tone chart and saying 'well, you go back to Europe, you go back to Africa, you stay here'. You build a new society on the paradigm of dignity for exploited people and equality under the law. People are acting like this is some sort of fantastic utopia instead of real initiatives that were done in living memory, with successes and failures, as all such initiatives have. One must ask why are some so insistent that multicultural societies can't thrive, especially when for most of history, societies were indeed like that. Consider why you think like that.

i've recently noticed a pattern that i'm not sure that i like. we have hundreds of fundraisers circulating on this site. many of them go without donations for days/weeks. if any fundraiser receives donations, its because the posts stand out/ something very tragic has happened to someone in the family.
for example, the nineteen year old, Shaban Al-Dalou, who was burnt alive a few days ago had a fundraiser. the family only reached their goal after losing that poor boy. i cannot understand why couldn't we have helped him before? i dont know how the family will cope with his loss.
so ask yourself, is genocide not a simple enough reason to donate? or do you need the family to be hit with a tragedy to even consider donating? everyone, i mean EVERYONE in gaza has experienced unimaginable loss and pain and destruction. they've lost their homes, livlihood, friends and family.
humanity has existed for so long because we care. we love each other and are hurt to see others' suffering.
you don't have to wait for tragedy to strike someone to donate. they are going through starvation, forced displacement, and mass murder. please care about this.
do not decrease the meaning of the word genocide. it breaks my heart to see the suffering of the people of gaza at the hands of their colonizers.
I've just got one thing left to say, save my friend mahmoud and his family. they deserve to live just like everyone. help him secure a better future for his family.
donate here || vetted by @gazafunds

"On a freezing cold Wednesday afternoon in eastern Kentucky, Taysha DeVaughan joined a small gathering at the foot of a reclaimed strip mine to celebrate a homecoming. “It’s a return of an ancestor,” DeVaughan said. “It’s a return of a relative.”
That relative was the land they stood on, part of a tract slated for a federal penitentiary that many in the crowd consider another injustice in a region riddled with them. The mine shut down years ago, but the site, near the town of Roxana, still bears the scars of extraction.
DeVaughan, an enrolled member of the Comanche Nation, joined some two dozen people on January 22 to celebrate the Appalachian Rekindling Project buying 63 acres within the prison’s footprint.
“What we’re here to do is to protect her and to give her a voice,” DeVaughan said. “She’s been through mountaintop removal. She’s been blown up, she’s been scraped up, she’s been hurt.”
The Appalachian Rekindling Project, which she helped found last year, wants to rewild the site with bison and native flora and fauna, open it to intertribal gatherings, and, it hopes, stop the prison.
The environmental justice organization worked with a coalition of local nonprofits, including Build Community Not Prisons and the Institute to End Mass Incarceration, to raise $160,000 to buy the plot from a family who owned the land generationally.
Retired truck driver Wayne Whitaker, who owns neighboring land and had considered purchasing it as a hunting ground, told Grist he was supportive. “There’s nothing positive we’ll get out of this prison,” he said.
The penitentiary has been a gleam in the eye of state and local officials and the Bureau of Prisons since 2006. It has always sparked sharp divisions in Roxana and beyond and was killed in 2019 after a series of lawsuits, only to be quietly resurrected in 2022. Last fall, the bureau took the final step in its approval process, clearing the way to begin buying land...
In his book Coal, Cages, Crisis, Schept noted that mine sites are considered ideal locations for prisons or a dumping ground for waste, rather than places of ecological value, as some biologists have argued. The Roxana site has been reclaimed, meaning re-vegetated with a forest that now shelters a number of rare species, including endangered bats.
Opponents argue that a prison will bring more environmental problems than jobs. Letcher County was 1 of 13 counties ravaged by catastrophic flooding in 2022, a situation exacerbated by damage strip mining caused to local watersheds. The prison slated for Roxana will exacerbate the problem.
The Bureau of Prisons estimates it will damage 6,290 feet of streams and about 2 acres of wetlands. (The agency has promised to compensate the state.)
DeVaughan said the purchase also is a step toward rectifying the dispossession that began with the forced removal and genocide of Indigenous peoples. The Cherokee, Shawnee, and Yuchi made their homes in the area before, during, and after colonization, and their thriving nations raised crops, ran businesses, and hunted bison that once roamed Appalachia.
In all the time since, coal, timber, gas, and landholding companies have at times owned almost half of the land in 80 counties stretching from West Virginia to Alabama. Several prisons sprang from deals made with coal companies, something many locals consider the continuation of this status quo.
Changing that dynamic is a priority for the Appalachian Rekindling Project, which hoped to buy more land to protect it from extractive industries and return its stewardship to Indigenous and local communities. DeVaughn said Indigenous peoples throughout the region will be welcome to use the land as a gathering place...
DeVaughan sees its work establishing a new vision of economic transition for coalfields, one that relies less on “dollars and numbers” and more on “healing and restoration” of the land and the Indigenous and other communities that live there.
She is working with some personal connections in the Cheyenne and Arapaho nations to acquire a herd of bison and plans to work with local volunteers, scientists, and students to inventory the site’s flora and fauna."
