YANDERE ZACHARIAS SMITH HEADCANONS

okay so i'm supposed to be writing theo headcanons but I haven't got inspiration for him rn so here's my current hp fixation.

once again a special shout out to chat gpt for being there for me when fanfiction writers weren't. but honestly most of my headcanons for him are my own perceptions of him so yay for originality.

as i was saying in my last post "this dude cares only for his chosen darling and literally no one else" when i tell you he's a devoted yandere- his darling could ask him to commit the most horrid atrocities, they could be the most selfish unlikable person in hogwarts (only second to him, of course) and he'd still worship the ground they walk on. once he's become obsessed, there's no going back.

zacharias's infatuation with his darling develops so quickly, whether he meets his darling at hogwarts or if he's known them since childhood; there's just something about them when he meets them. it lingers in the back of his mind, what are they doing, who are they talking to, what are they thinking about are they thinking about him. after some self reflection, he comes to a conclusion; they've given him a love potion.

it makes so much sense! his darling is too shy to tell him they want his attention, and so resorted to underhanded methods. it's fine, zach isn't not mad. once he comes to this realisation, he'll begin to insert himself into their life; but obsession or not, he isn't exactly great company, so his presence will be more of an annoyance to his darling than anything.

even if his darling expresses their discomfort or explicitly rejects him, zacharias refuses to accept it. he's convinced that they secretly love him and continues to pursue them relentlessly.

zacharias just always seems to say the wrong things. always seems to pry and cross boundries. but no matter what his darling says, he thinks they're just playing hard to get; a part of him knows they aren't, but he doesn't care about their comfort that much. sure he wants them to be happy but he'd rather they suffer with him than be happy without him.

as a yandere, zach wants to know his darling inside and out, the idea that they aren't sharing their every thought with him drives him insane. he pry's until they detail every moment of their life before meeting him and when he isn't around. as if he leaves them alone after becoming obsessed.

there is no boundry zacharias won't cross, his darling has no privacy whatsoever - but on the bright side, he doesn't force his darling to follow him to the bathroom or skip their classes they don't have with him, he'll put his basic needs on hold if it means staying attached to his darling at the hip.

seriously. if zacharias's darling decides they want to stay awake for 2 days straight, then as exhausted as he is, he's staying up with them. he'll vocalise his discontent, but refuses to sleep if his darling isn't.

he often daydreams about a future where he and the person are together forever, ignoring any signs of their discomfort or fear. these fantasies become increasingly ✨ disturbing ✨ and detached from reality.

ironic as it is, zacharias is a coward when it comes down to it. he won't hurt his rivals; he'll convince his darling to. he relies on the mental instability of his darling to isolate them from their loved ones.

zacharias is overwhelmingly possessive, doesn't matter if his obsession is romantic or platonic, he just can't stand it knowing his darling is close to other people. so he'll sabotage every relationship they have; he'll convince them he's the only one they can trust, the only one truly loyal to them, the only one that understands them.

his yandere tendencies are on display for the whole world to see, which is why, despite being pretty goddamn crazy, he's no where near as threatening as draco or even anthony because everyone knows how obsessed he is with them.

Before I jump in, just taking the time to remind readers that we can maintain a connection to media we grew up with but refrain from putting more money in the hands of a creator who actively preaches against and promotes messages that impede upon the freedoms and lives of our trans frans. 🏴‍☠️⚡️

I'll use the lineups from these last asks (because I flip flop, I just love so many of them, okay??).

MHA

Katsuki Bakugo - Slytherin. Slytherin like Draco Malfoy in the sense that he's outwardly and overly confident. But his predisposition for "darkness" scares and frustrates him because he just wants the same recognition of being a good wizard that Izuku gets.

Izuku Midoriya - Gryffindor with Ravenclaw underpinnings. Gryffindor is the one house where anyone can belong if you're only brave enough to ask and he'd totally make a scene muttering to himself under the sorting hat.

Shouta Aizawa - Ooof. This is hard because he has the outward disposition of Snape as a teacher but Aizawa is so soft at heart and incredibly logical. Of the Three Dumbigos, he would be in Ravenclaw. Bonus: Oboro would have been in Gryffindor and Yamada would have been in Hufflepuff.

Shoto Todoroki - Legacy Slytherin but sorted into Gryffindor much to Endeavor's chagrin (and likely to spite him).

Eijirou Kirishima - this is a hufflepuff. ✨

JJK

Nobara Kugisaki - This one was legitimately a head scratcher. She has her Hufflepuff moments from being so in sync with Yuji but I think Nobara's more Ravenclaw or Gryffindor leaning. Especially with that ego. Actually, yea, let's be for real, Nobara would want to be in the place where she can kick the most ass and not from an academic perspective. Gryffindor with Ravenclaw underpinnings though I'm open to hearing other people's takes on her situation.

Yuji Itadori - If he'd had any insight into the houses, any idea that there were such a thing as Gryffindor whose bravery was renowned, he probably would have had the sense of mind to end up there. But buddy boy was just so happy to be included having zero connection to the wizarding world that he rejoiced at his sorting in Hufflepuff. He's well received in their ranks and, of course, is not a stranger to students in other houses. I'm not saying the Sorting Hat didn't see obvious potential, though. If only he'd persisted to ask.

Megumi Fushiguro - Unbeknownst to him, the Zenin's are a legacy Slytherin family. He'd always heard the way Gojo had spoken about Slytherins and was annoyed at the possibility of ending up there (more than how much Gojo annoyed him) so, instead, the Sorting Hat saw fit to put him into Gryffindor after his imperceptible begging.

Kento Nanami - This man is a bored Ravenclaw. He gets through school, aces his OWLs and NEWTs and then becomes something boring in the muggle world because, while magic makes things convenient, the shenanigans and idiocy of his peers and upperclassmen encouraged the pursuit of a life of solitude to recover from the hijinks he suffered while in high school. He'd come back for the Battle of Hogwarts, though. That's a call he wouldn't be able to ignore.

Satoru Gojo - He thought himself smart enough to be in Ravenclaw 👀 but was ultimately damned by his legacy Slytherin family lineage. Dismayed by the Sorting Hat's deliberation, he felt there was more glory to be had in Gryffindor and changed the tide of the Gojo family with this subsequent desire. He had the time of his life. Never told Megumi about how long the Sorting Hat deliberated though... likely forgot, in fact, because once he belonged in Gryffindor, nothing else felt right. Bonus: Shoko was in Gryffindor as the actual Ravenclaw of the trio. Geto was in Gryffindor with Hufflepuff underpinnings. The hubris he developed by this association would still be his undoing and leave him vulnerable to manipulation.

I know you said you don’t like half of them BUT what are your favorite wolfstar headcannons? 🐺✨

I had to think about this for a bit. These are more marauder headcanons, but my wolfstar feeling could fill a book. Or several.

Sirius is basically Draco Malfoy if he had been sorted into Gryffindor: a little hyper-privileged pure-blood prince who suddenly found himself in a new social dynamic at odds with the way he was raised. He is extremely loyal to anyone he sees as one of his people. He always felt some guilt about abandoning Regulus, as much as he hid and denied it, even to himself. He suffers from anxiety that can make the inside of his head feel like a chaotic place.

Remus used to be an outgoing child, but became very reserved after being bitten. He does not like to draw attention to himself, because it might lead to people guessing his secret. This makes attention-grabbers like Sirius and James good people to have around. Before school, Remus’s only friend was his younger sister, who did not end up having magical abilities. He was the first of the Marauders to form a close friendship with Lily, and they often studied together. Her fierceness and kindness reminded him of the sister he missed. He figured a muggle-born would be less likely to guess his secret, and would have fewer ingrained prejudices about werewolves. He became estranged from his family due to his sexuality, which they viewed as making things harder on himself than necessary.

James was a spoiled only child. His mother was a Caribbean immigrant. He always wanted a brother, and was delighted to have three after starting school. He started off as an entitled brat, but learned to tone it down by the time he left school. Although initially weirded out by two of his best friends getting together, he eventually became one of their biggest supporters and defenders.

Peter was in Sirius’s social circle before they started school, and may have had a crush on Sirius during their younger years. He later transferred his affections to James, because Sirius was more of an asshole to him. Nevertheless, he was the first Wolfstar shipper. He always appreciated Remus’s kindness, which was why he left him out of his betrayal. Peter’s innocent face often helped get the Marauders out of trouble.

Remus and Sirius kept their relationship low-key in public, due to an atmosphere of homophobia in Britain in the 1970s and early 1980s, but they were out to their closest friends from the start of their relationship. Sirius underwent some healer training to be able to better help Remus around the full moons, but he didn’t have a good enough bedside manner to actually become a healer professionally. Remus never understood how he got so lucky, but he was always terrified that Sirius’s pure-blood family would come after him for “corrupting” their heir. There are wizarding laws governing the personal lives of werewolves, and Remus is painfully aware of them. Remus knew the strains of lycanthropy would shorten his natural lifespan. He never expected to outlive Sirius and the rest of his social circle.
