Wild that antis want to blame me for their shitty mental health when they're the ones repeatedly stalking my blog over and over again.
Yet absolute crickets about the two months of harassment I dealt with from morning to night of people claiming I was a pedophile, that I was as bad as my abuser, and that at seven years old, I deserved being molested.
#if you're trying to make me feel bad for you#I don't#if you want to cast me as the villain in your melodrama#whatever#you lost any possibility of empathy from me when people were intentionally trying to trigger me

So interesting point made by Dutch people and may explain Landoâs âa fan is a fanâ comment. (Please note Iâve still not found this interview, and Iâve looked).
The Dutch were talking about how 98% of people who go to a race are a genuine fan of a driver, team, the sport. They look forward to the racing all year. However you will always get that last 2% who think itâs an excuse to get rid of the other half, go on a mad drinking bender and hey there will be some cars going round the track.
Now Iâve seen this first hand at the cricket and darts. You are trying to watch whatâs going on and ever 2 minutes someone else wants to walk past you to get another round of beers in. I remember going to a Bon Jovi concert and the people behind me were that pissed up before the show that some of the songs got drowned out by then singing a Daft Punk song loudly down my ear. I bet we have all had that experience somewhere.
So the question is how do you allow the genuinely fans to enjoy the weekend, whilst dealing with the people who think itâs just a mad lad holiday.
Should what happened in Austria have happened? No. I donât think there is a single driver or team that said differently. Should there be consequences? Absolutely. If you can get to a point those who who causing the issue can be identified, Iâm pretty sure there is not a country F1 races in doesnât have criminal charges for sexual harassment and racial abuse.
However what do the FIA do? There is no simple answer. I can understand what Seb said. A lifetime ban is already imposed in football. Unacceptable behaviour is just that unacceptable.
However I can understand Landoâs point. If you are thrown out of a track and prosecuted for something you did at say 22, should that mean you can never take your own children to a race when you are 42?
I donât know the answer. However I also know that F1 drivers are not employed to find the answer either. So people jumping down any of their throats for an opinion they have and however well they can articulate it makes me think how would they do if someone stuck a camera in front of them and said âhow do Ukraine retake back the Donbas region?â or âhow do we stop the continuing gun crime in the US?â. Whatever you say, however well meaning is going to upset people and people are going to disagree.

Sterek, Thiam, & Queerbaiting, Oh My!
(Or how racism and homophobia suppressed the actual representation of gay men in the show that fandom so desperately claimed they wanted.)
So, I'm just going to come out and say it right off the bat: neither of these ships were actually queerbaiting. As a matter of fact, I'd say that those ships just by themselves (and the fandoms that rose around them) were low-key homophobic. The reason I say this isn't just because of the large number of women in this fandom that fetishize mlm sexuality, nor is it about those who attack anyone who has any critique of those ships, its just about the ships themselves.
Now, one could argue that those ships arose from the fandom, and that is true, forever linking canon and fanon in the worst possible way, but this is more to do with the fact that the production of this show cowtowed to the vocal fans on Twitter and put moments in there that, while not explicitly canon, was a not-so-subtle nod to those "fans" that harassed people over crack ships.
Of course, I've been over this before, the pedophilic nature of Sterek and the outright abusive elements to Thiam, but those very real complaints (from an actual gay man like myself) always fall on deaf ears or is usually met with the whole "fiction doesn't affect reality" spiel. And this is incredibly frustrating (or even downright infuriating) to those of us who have had to live with these stereotypes because of our sexuality. To this day there are people out there who equate gay men with pedophiles. That's one of the major talking points for these anti-LGBT religious groups and there's an entire group of people on the internet who are dedicated to promoting a predatory style relationship (Sterek).
What makes the popularity of Sterek so infuriating, is the fact that we had Danny right there. Danny was present in the second episode of the series. We were introduced to him before there was any kind of interaction between Stiles and Derek, and yet he is continually slept on by the fandom, and then by the production as a result of the fandom, which eventually led to Danny just disappearing from the show entirely. To add insult to injury, Danny was practically everything Fandom was crying for when it came to gay representation. He was handsome with a nice body, smart and funny, and everyone liked him, and yet there's usually cricket chirps whenever he's mentioned. Something similar happened to Scott - a character that who stuck fast to his morals and was just an all around good person, and yet so many people violently hated him. Now what could Danny and Scott have in common that made so many people look past them? Gee, I wonder?
Moving forward, once Sterek was no longer a possibility, rather than focus on, I don't know, Mason, a character that was tailor-made for the fandom, they once again make up a crack ship to flock around (Thiam) rather than focus on the actual, consensual relationship that was made up of actual gay characters.
But you may be saying to yourself, "at least these two (Theo and Liam) were around the same age", and you would be right in that regards. But what makes this ship bad, is that it's rooted entirely in first deceit and then later in physical violence. I remember very vividly seeing someone say that Liam and Theo punching each other was how they expressed their affection and I was horrified by that. How many times a day on this app do we see posts floating around that domestic violence is wrong? And then how many times do you see a ship (usually a crack ship) that a fandom loves rooted in physical violence? The disconnect is terrifying.
All of this while Mason and Corey were right there, being cute and in love and everything that fandom claims they want when it comes to representation, yet they're totally ignored in favor of the two straight characters beating the shit out of one another. This is why so many franchises revolving around these "macho men" are able to thrive, even though so many people (mostly women) in fandom claim they want softer men. And yet, whenever a softer man is presented, particularly if they're a man of color, they're brushed aside.
And that's just mlm representation! You hear almost nothing when it comes to wlw representation, unless its to get the women "out of the way".
This all comes down to the racism that permeates every level of fandom. I'm not saying this is intentional, because we've all done it. Hell, I did it. When I joined the Teen Wolf fandom, I followed pro-Sterek blogs and reblogged Sterek posts, because I wanted to be accepted in the fandom, and I bought into the propaganda that was fanon!Sterek. I read the metas and the fics and decided to believe in those instead of what I saw on the screen with my own two eyes. Thankfully, I snapped out of it, but that's why Sterek (and later Thiam) dominated fandom spaces, even making their way to polls for "Best Couple" on many websites.
And then, when these ships don't become canon, fandom screams QUEERBAITING!!! Even though those ships were something made up entirely by the fandom and never something that production considered being canon.
Another big part of how the situation gets as bad as it does is that fandom misunderstands (either accidentally or deliberately) what racism actually means. It's not just the throwing of slurs, it's the preference of the white character over the character of color, even though the latter has everything they said they wanted. Racism is reducing characters of color to stereotypes, such as a brown or brown person being violent (Tamora and Kali) or the sexually obsessed Latino (Scott) or the untrustworthy negro (Deaton and Morrell). Hell, even Boyd was thrust into the silent negro stereotype for some reason.
Now this part, this is as much the production's fault as it is the fandoms, because while the former introduced those concepts (or even if fandom thinks they introduced those concepts) fandom then takes them and blows them out of proportion. How many times have I gotten an ask from that one anon telling me that Scott was "obsessed" with Allison? How many times have I seen metas about how Deaton was "untrustworthy" because he didn't share his every waking thought? How many times did we see particular blogs slut-shame Braeden because she engaged in a consensual relationship with Derek?
And the thing about those is, yes, the original idea was introduced in the show, such as Scott's relationship with Allison or Deaton only offering advice when asked or Derek and Braeden flirting, but fandom took them and cranked them up to eleven in an effort to make these characters look horrible. This is something we don't see at all when it comes to their white counterparts. Stiles is never described as "obsessed" by the fandom despite his fixation on Lydia. Peter is almost never described as "untrustworthy" by the fans despite lying and decieving people all the time. Neither Lydia or Malia are called sluts for being sexually active despite not being in relationships.
When Derek repeatedly assaults Stiles (or Scott, not that fandom cared), it's seen as quirky or romantic (same with Thiam), but when Scott hits Isaac or Jackson, in scenes that were very specifically shown to be comedic, its seen as abusive and violent. Stiles asking Danny if he's "attractive to gay guys" or pausing after Caitlin asked him if he liked guys is deemed proof that he's bisexual, but Scott's interactions with Isaac and Danny (or even Stiles himself), where had they been a guy and a girl, it would have clearly been an intimate moment, is still considered absolutely straight by fandom.
So what's the difference?
It's the racism.
The real kicker at the end of the day here is that fans cry queerbaiting, all the while they're actively sleeping on the actual gay representation that's there. It doesn't fit their aesthetic, so they ignore it, and then wonder why mlm relationships are going down in television. I'm not saying we shouldn't want or demand more representation in media, but people can't be so ignorant as to outright ignore the representation they're given and then wonder why they're not getting more.
Well, this got way longer than I originally intended and I hope I'm not just screaming into the void, but this is an issue that's still relevant, all these years after Teen Wolf ended.

âNot Theoâ as in that Theo was not the same kid they knew in forth grade. And he was absolutely right about it, since Theo came to Beacon Hills to kill Scott and take his Pack for himself. And I find it hilarious that you always go out of your way to denonize Stiles, a canonical neuroatypical character, and paint him as a violent, dangerous monster who systematically abuses poor innocent Scoot but then goes *crickets sounds* on Scott assaulting Jackson and Corey and abusing Isaac out of jealousy
Except Iâve literally posted about all of those things but lololol youâre as bad at stalking me as you are everything else. Hey, did you know that Iâve had bots in my inbox that make more of an impact on me than you do? Does that make you feel at all like maybe youâve wasted these past six or seven years of hate-stalking and âattemptingâ to harass me, or are you still good?

Dedicated to @unbiddenrhythm for getting me hooked on this seriously rare-pair. Although our Assistants have slightly different names, Rea is heavily inspired by her head cannons, so she's like, 99% hers.
This started out as a short drabble for OTP prompts, and just...evolved. the prompt was: Which one gets jealous more often.
Short answer: Rea does, partly because she often feels like she Reeve is far out of her league.
Long answer: well, this:
Fluffyish piece of ReevexAssistant below. Mentions of jealous, hints of slight sexual harassment (not between the main couple). Spoiler free!Â
Oddly enough, Rea tends to get jealous more often.
Reeve Tuesti was really the poster boy of Shinra directors. Granted, compared to the other three males that made up the board of directors, it wasn't that surprising. Anyone would look good compared to Palmer, Heidegger, and Hojo.Â
The only other Shinra Executive the gossip columnists wrote more about was Rufus, and since his assignment to Junon and virtual banishment from Midgar, he had been forced to the limelight. Leaving Reeve to endure the spotlight and rather unwanted attention.
Rea knew she shouldn't be reading the trashy magazines that were little more than fluff pieces that barely disguised Shinra propaganda. But when Reeve was on the latest cover, it was hard for her to resist. Her official reason was to study the gossip and figure out if she needed to give the poor man a heads up about the latest rumors (like when they published his favorite cafe and the 'fans' were flooding to the small cat cafe in Sector 3 to catch a glimpse) or start counter-arguments derailing the misconceptions that tended to sprout from time to time (like that he was yet another Shinra bastard son).Â
It was just a coincidence that the side bonus was to be able to.study her boss's appearance without the risk of being caught. (Not that the paparazzi ever got a picture of his true smile, or really captured the small little glint in his eyes he got when he was amused. But they did get a rather good side profile when he was jogging on the treadmill on the rec floor that she was rather fond of.)
However, this time the articles left her more than a little disquieted. It was a special edition covering President Shinra's birthday party from the weekend prior. It had been a through who's-who affair, with everyone dressed to impress. She skipped over the details of the designers, and briefly wrinkled her nose at the image of Hojo and Palmer and their suits. Not even the best tailors in the world could make them half-decent, though she questioned who thought to let Palmer wear a suit that was a rather gross mix of brown and green that reminded her of things that belong in a toilet.Â
She did have to admit lingering on the first couple images of her boss in the well-fitted black suit made his long legs and thin form even more prominent than usual. The remaining articles that weren't dedicated to praising the President were focused on the Urban Development DirectorâŚ
...and questioning his relationship with Scarlett.
Nearly every picture had the two in close proximity, and in more than a couple, Scarlett was hanging from Reeve's arm, a sultry smile on her shimmery lips and a smug look in her eyes that made something akin to anger flare in Rea's chest. As if the older woman was looking straight at her and boasting at achieving what Rea could only dream about.Â
Looking at those pictures...Rea had to admit to the small ember of jealousy that burned in her stomach. She wanted to be able to wrap her arm around Reeve like that. To gaze up into his eyes and see that warmth and tenderness looking back at her.Â
And unfortunately for Rea, the rumors of Reeve and Scarlett spread like wildfire through Shinra's fertile grapevine. Sure Scarlett was a few years older than Reeve, but many people pointed out that it wasn't that much of an age gap. Then there were the counter-arguments that she had undeniable looks and 'experience', musing maybe it was something right up the soft-spoken man's alley.
The conversations down that particular path made Rea feel physically sick. Few were privy to just exactly how ruthless and abusive the lone female director was, and she had a hard time thinking anyone would find that...attractive, let alone her boss. Granted Reeve did his best not to speak too poorly about his peers, but she was sure she didn't imagine the scowl that graced his features whenever he returned from meetings with her. She had thought that Reeve disapproved of such things...but all the pictures of the two together and the gossip that followed suit made her start to question that maybe she was wrong? Â
It made her question if she was reading all the signs between her and her director wrong. Over the last few months, she had started hope that maybe this feeling wasn't quite as one-sided as she had first thought. But maybe he was just being kind and helpful and she was just seeing things through rose-colored glasses. Maybe she wasn't at all his type.Â
And if Scarlett was his type...did she really know him that well?Â
"Oh please," Reeve groaned, making Rea jump slightly in her chair as he entered the office and caught her flipping through the infamous magazine, "I will literally buy you a fire materia if you promise to burn that wretched thing.Â
"Sir?" She squeaked, not used to hearing him speak so...candidly. Never through the months of her 'research' had he commented so negatively. Usually, it was a bemused 'really?' Or a 'what are those scavengers lying about now?'
"Those pictures of me and Scarlett," he gestured tiredly. "I swear I am going to retch if I see another one. First I had to endure her pawing at me that entire night, and the nightmare only continues. 'Older and experienced, ha!' The woman is a money digging cougar."
Rea bit her lip trying to contain a smile as that sickly feeling evaporated. Everything suddenly seemed better, and the world once more made sense. Jealousy and doubt had really made her think crazy ideas. Reeve, interested in Scarlett? That was not the man she admired and respected. "...I do think they sell fire materia downstairs, actuallyâŚ"
Reeve paused for a moment, his dark eyes meeting hers. His expression was serious, but she swore she could see some amusement and gratitude in them."Don't tempt me, because I don't know if I can resist."
Those words made butterflies flutter in her stomach, and she had to look away to regain her senses. The magazine was open to a page where Scarlett was pressed against his side, her cleavage prominent, and now she could see the reserved annoyance on her Director's face as he pointedly looked away from the woman. " ...usually I wouldn't condone such acts, however, this time is a little different." Rea gave a small impish smile as she looked back at him, and was delighted when he started to grin back at her.Â
"You, my dear, are the best," there was a pause as he glanced at the offending text. "...would you think any less of me if I asked you to use my account to buy the last of those magazines? I could reserve the SOLDIERS' VR training room for after hours. I think it's fireproof."Â
Rea was shocked by his words temporarily before realization sunk in. He really hated the rumors floating about him this.time, and it struck a nerve. Righteous anger flared along with determination.
"It would be my pleasure. In fact, I'll split the cost with you."Â
---
It was close to eight at night, and the bonfire of every magazine they could find reached into the simulated night sky. Was it petty? Possibly. Poor use of time to go to every floor and search for every copy they could find? Absolutely.Â
Did she regret any of it? Not a bit. She felt younger, lighter as she and Reeve snuck about after hours, taking turns keeping watch as the other sifted through the magazine in the numerous lounge areas, stuffing the offending copies into a bag.Â
Neither were very surprised when the reached the archives, and one of the many library bots merrily greeted them with a stack of magazines. "Scarlett is a whore," it chirped innocently, making them both break out in surprised laughter.Â
"You know the techs still don't know how or why those bots are 'faulty'," Reeve said as they left the archives, the thick stack split between them.Â
"Grandad mentioned they keep trying to fix them," she hummed. "Mr. Hart has caught newbie techs trying to hack their system so many times he thinks its a hazing rite."Â
"I wouldn't put it past them. Their funding for AI is geared towards military purposes, but many of them are interested in creating true Artificial Intelligence. And well, their programming was actually the basis for my own side project."Â
"You keep hinting at your side projects," she pouted playfully, feeling daring. "But you never talk about them much."
There was a playful light in Reeve's eyes as he winked down at her. "Maybe one of these days I'll introduce you."
---
While the techs of the VR room did give them odd looks, nothing was said as they brought in the bags of magazines and Reeve asked them to generate specific coordinates before they entered.Â
It always amazed Rea to watch the silver room give way to the virtual reality. The ceiling rippled into a cloudless night sky, the steel floor becoming gently rolling hills that led to a picture-perfect sandy beach. She could even taste the salty air of the ocean as the waves gently crashed near her feet.Â
"Where are we?" She asked as she helped pile the magazines into a decent mound.Â
"A beach not far from where I grew up," he answered easily, surprising her. "I spent many nights here stargazing when I was stuck on problems when I was younger. I admit, when I'm facing a challenging situation I'll use this place after hours to help brainstorm. It's still not quite the same though. Usually, you would be able to hear crickets chirping and the occasional seagull."Â
"Sounds beautiful." Rea pulled the new fire-materia from her pocket and held it kut to him once he was finished organizing the magazines into a suitable pile. "I believe you should have the honor, sir," she insisted when he hesitated. "All things considered."
He looked at the small green orb twinkling with an inner light, illuminating her plain but well-manicured nails. He placed his hand over hers, enveloping the materia.Â
"How about we do it together?" He offered. "Granted, I haven't dual-casted since I first learned how to use materia, but I think we could manage it."Â
Rea was thankful it was dark enough to hide the blush she felt creeping across her cheeks as she shifted to stand next to Reeve, their fingers brushing as they cradled the materia. "One...twoâŚ" Reeve counted, and on three she felt the magic flow into the materia. Dual casting was usually only used to teach another person how to use materia, because you had the odd sense of the other person's magic, and it was often too distracting to focus.Â
And it was very distracting, as well as oddly intimate to feel his magic mix with hers as fire erupted from the magazines. His careful arranging assured an even and thorough fire that reached up to the stars.Â
"I didn't think this would be this relaxing," Reeve admitted as they watched the pages begin to curl. While their arms were no longer stretched out, neither seemed willing to let go quite yet.
"Fire is rather cleansing," Rea replied softly, wondering if it was wrong of her to feel a little smug. Scarlett may have pushed Reeve into allowing her to hang off him against his will, but here she was, more or less holding hands with him...and he didn't seem at all bothered by her close proximity.
"It is⌠thank you," he added a moment later, looking down at her, his soft expression lit by the flames, "for indulging my moment of insanity."
"Happily sir," she tried for a light tone while her throat was blocked by her heart. Gaia, she though, he was handsome like this. Hair just a little messy, the weight and stress lifted from his shoulders and a true smile pulling at his lips. He looked so...happy. Content. And she was at least partly responsible.
Take that, Scarlett.Â
There was a long pause before Reeve cleared his throat. "So, um, I heard one of the techs from the science department had asked you out the other night."
"Oh, yeah." Rea wrinkled her nose at the memory of the man she had barely met trying to pressure her to go kut on a date when she had turned down all his subtle advances before.
"How did that go?"Â
"Mm, it didn't. He's not quite my type."
Rea was sure she imagined the relieved sigh and his shoulder relaxing. "Ah. Good. Well, I mean, I'm glad you know what your type is," he quickly added on, sounding a bit flustered, making her raise a brow. "It's good to know that. I think."Â
Rea laughed as she looked over at him, wondering if his cheeks were pink due to the fire. "What about you, sir? Do you know your type?"
He paused, his eyes meeting hers for a long moment. "I think I'm finally figuring it out."Â
"But it's not Scarlett?"
That made him laugh, the rich sound flowing over her along with the sound of the ocean waves crashing against the sand. "Oh Gaia, no. Absolutely not! The woman I like is...kind, and caring. She always puts others before herself, and can be a little bit of a hypocrite for lecturing others on their workaholic behaviors."Â
Rea's heart thumped in her chest and tried to keep her mind from jumping to conclusions. She forced herself to focus on where the tips of the flames met the night sky. "Sounds less like a type and more like an individual, sir."Â
"Yeah, maybe," he admitted quietly. A peek towards him revealed he was still looking at her with that expression from before. The same expression she had daydreamed of since this infatuation of hers begun.Â
Surely not. Surely she was just seeing things through rose-colored glasses again. Except his hand drifted from the materia to brush shyly against hers, almost to ask for permission.Â
Only to drop away as reality forced its way back in, the sky and ocean disappearing in a violent ripple. "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?" A scientist barged in, using a fire extinguisher to put out their makeshift bonfire as the two jumped away from each other. "YOU JUST CAN'T BURN THINGS INSIDE THE TOWER! WHAT WERE YOU TWO THINKING?!"

"but he murdered peopleâ
This is a post about Goro Akechi, murder, its aftermath, trauma, and two things that are in real short fucking supply around here: critical thinking and empathy.
Listen, Iâm a veteran of the Dragon Age fandom. If you want to talk about toxic fandoms, theyâre your Bible. As far as your Judas Iscariots and Nebuchadnezzars go, I was one of them. Iâve seen it, Iâve done it, and Iâm done with it. Itâs exhausting to carry that much rage inside of you, to live it actively every second of every day, and to inflict it on other people and laugh about it. So Iâve been disengaged, largely, for a few years.Â
And now Iâm in the Persona 5 fandom and find myself enthusiastically appreciating Goro Akechi, because who doesnât love complex, morally flawed, ambiguously gay-coded characters? Shit, maybe youâre not on board, but Iâll sign right up. Iâm a relative newcomer, despite being a longtime Persona fan and playing P5 around when it came out, because I didnât engage with the fandom then. I jumped back in with the Royal announcement and absolutely saturated myself in this vibrant fan space. Invested in the idea of Akechi being explored as a fully fleshed-out character, I find myself following Goroboys. Which is great! Because so far, theyâre all great! Nicest bunch of people you could ever hope to meet!
Except thereâs Discourse. Thereâs always been Discourse, I find, but this is my first exposure to it in this fandom. This weekend was my first week of seeing Goro antis active, seeing people I follow, people I like and appreciate and some I considering genuine friends, actively attacked and harassed because they like a fictional teenage character who killed some other fictional people in a fictional world where you, playing as the main character, have the ability to perform a metaphysical lobotomy on people who literally canât consent. Here I thought the only people who hated Akechi were white cishet men who saw his rage against a parent and said, âNah, too bitchy for me,â because theyâre too afraid to look in a mirror and see Masayoshi Shidoâs fascist, misogynistic mug staring back.Â
Are you awake yet? Have I woken you up to the fact that Persona 5â˛s premise is a wish-fulfillment fantasy of âwhat if I could make the person who took advantage of me when I was a teenager apologize in front of the entire world by using an alternate fantasy dimension to completely violate their brainâ?
I see my friends saying, âWow, itâs amazing how people who hate Akechi canât leave people who like Akechi alone,â and within an hour they have replies saying MURDER IS MURDER as if they know what murder actually is.
Weâre about to get real personal up in here because maybe, only then, will some of you people take the hint that your behavior borders on actively bullying other people on the internet over a fictional character.
Ready? Here goes.
Murder is your mom picking you up from summer camp three weeks after your ninth birthday, driving you to your grandparentsâ house, and telling you that when daddy was at work today, someone tried to steal the money, and they had a gun. Daddy was brave and Daddy died.
Murder is blacking out when youâre nine years old and coming to to yourself two houses away on a neighborâs swing set with crickets chirping in your ears and the crushing reality of never seeing your father again turning your brain into static.
Murder is asking your mother if she asked for the death penalty, and your mother telling you, in a pleading voice, that she didnât because he was mentally ill and it didnât feel right. Murder is feeling angry afterwards because you feel like something was taken away from you, and something should be exchanged for that. Because thatâs how fairness works, right? If you steal candy from the store, you have to give up your allowance for the next five months.
Murder is realizing youâre an atheist at fourteen and driving past the cemetery where your fatherâs remains are interred, and having the gut-punching, soul-suffocating realization of what never ever ever actually means. Murder is building an internal cosmology where forever means my atoms and yours, creating new life in perpetuity as the comfort you drag out of the westâs cold, uncaring atheism that never found its own poetry.
Murder is your first two years in college, when you discover social justice and realize the world is bigger than your own life experiences, and that violence at the bottom is a reactionary symptom against violence at the top. Murder is understanding the fact that the man who killed your father was himself a victim of a racist, ableist, capitalist society with a morally bankrupt healthcare system, and that every single one of those things is in and of itself is more hateful than the act of your father bleeding out in the parking lot, in the ambulance, on the operating table.
Murder is your mother confessing to you in college that your father was physically abusive of her and that she had threatened him, only weeks before he was killed, that she would leave and take her daughters with her if he didnât change. Murder is knowing that your father ran after an armed robber because he was raised by a Sicilian father in a household overflowing with toxic masculinity, and what killed your father wasnât a man with a gun: what killed your father was the patriarchy whispering in his ear, This theft emasculates you.Â
Murder is looking your own mother in the eye and telling her that one day you want to visit the man who killed your father and open your heart to him, because all you can think is, He didnât plan this. He canât have wanted this. What must it feel like to kill someone without intending to and then have to live with that for the rest of your life with no one to help you? Murder is the sound of betrayal in your motherâs voice when she responds, disbelieving.
Murder is spending years wanting to at least write to him, and then forgetting, and then going back, because you are a fluid, impermanent, imperfect person with your own flaws and failures and mental issues that hold you back from being the paragon you want to be. Murder is throwing yourself into the left and embracing prison abolition so hard it hurts, because you know that if the state can lock up someone who doesnât âmatter,â the state can lock up anyone.Â
Murder is throwing away or selling every childhood thing you ever possessed because you are not by nature a sentimental person, but never giving up that doll you were gifted, the doll you coveted and wanted more than anything else, three weeks before your father was shot and killed. You have no pictures, no mementos, no nothing, but she sits at the top of your bookshelf to this day, a weighty child goddess, the symbol of your torn and labyrinthine childhood.
Murder is having to see a bunch of petty-ass people using actual trauma that real life people have experienced and continue to experience to directly and repeatedly harass your friends online (and yourself, indirectly, by tagging their hateful shit) because you and your friends like a fictional fucking character who, by nature of being fictional, did not actually murder any real existing people.
Murder is building your entire identity around how you sympathize, deeply, with the person who killed your own father, because that takes hard work and deep empathy and the ability to see past a lot of bullshit just to get to that point, and having some fuck-ass anons act like none of that matters because there is (apparently, I must assume) some omnipotent god of justice saying âFuck you and everything youâve been throughâ that apparently only these bullies can hear.
Murder is seeing fandom moralizers talk about murder like they understand it. Like theyâve read this, plus the last ten-plus paragraphs, and decided they know best anyway because mommy and daddy always told them Criminals Are Bad and walked wide-eyed and innocent into a social network overrun with TERFs, exclusionists, and a rotten segment of the political left that acts like some extras straight out of The Crucible.
I have never once been triggered by anything relating to my fatherâs murder. I cried at the Resurrection Stone scene in The Deathly Hallows, I cried when I completed when I completed the DA2 DLC Legacy after the end of act 2. When I see a parent die, I have an emotional reaction, because itâs familiar.
But the Akechi antis who all say âbut he killed people!â, The Akechi antis who say âmurder is still murderâ?
The murder of my father is still murder. The man who killed him, his murderer, is still regardless a human being, the man who killed him deserves sympathy and compassion and understanding and respect and, above all, a chance.
I am a living example of whatâs left behind when someone is murdered. You can walk into the mausoleum where my father is interred, face his headstone, and let the earth open up beneath you and drop you into hell.
So most sincerely, from someone who lost their father to gun violence, to armed robbery, to murder: Stop fucking using our lived experiences as your justification to harass and bully people online for committing the Grave Moral Sin of just liking a video game character.
Between the fact that the American government is keeping real people in concentration camps and a bunch of strangers on the internet liking a twiggy teenage anime boy who used a fantasy world to kill people who donât exist, which one is actually important to deserve your moral outrage?
Youâll die eventually; fascism wonât kill itself.

My Top 10 Shoujo/Josei Ships
Letâs address the elephant in the room. Yes, they are problematic which is why they rank last. No doubt. But like, theyâre ten and children make mistakes. Especially children who are as unfortunate as Natsume. Natsume himself is probably the most offensive one in this list. But I just...really have a soft spot for brooding bad boys who secretly want to be saved by the cheerful nice girl and thatâs not going to go away ANY time soon. I grew really fond of these two as the series went on. I just did.
Man, these two used to be a lot higher when I was younger (like the same age as them lol) KKJ was the first true cosplay I ever did! So...um, not so much in the anime (although heâs not totally innocent but he is better). Chiaki has...issues. Lol. To say heâs insecure...is probably an understatement. But when you look at his upbringing, itâs really no surprise. Maron is the only person he truly seems to care about so heâs going to cling and be needy. But she knows how to handle him. Sheâs always in control (not in a bad way) but in a way thatâs good for both of them. I love how mature she is. He will learn from her....if he hasnât already. Okay, theyâre married with a baby so I would think adult!Chiaki has gotten over what made the teenage ship problematic. Besides, they totally have Godâs approval; what more do you need? XD
*laughs* Who here watched this for the episodic Phantom Thief plots?
*crickets chirp*
OF COURSE YOU F*CKING DIDNâT.
Ya all watched it hoping for these two....RIDICULOUS TSUNDERE...GOOBERS TO TURN AROUND ONE DAY AND CONFESS HOW MUCH THEY DREAM OF GETTING MARRIED TO EACH OTHER...
MeimixAsuka is the absolute classic âlove-hate/ slap slap kissâ ship DONE RIGHT. Which is great because so many are done very very wrong (and I can think of quite a few in, ironically non-Japanese media...aimed at children...that can honest to God, be interpreted as downright abusive. *coughiCarlycough*
But not these two. They are so f*cking innocent. Delightfully innocent. Like, their most offensive action is to call each other âidiotâ. But God forbid anybody ELSE do that...oh no, if you dare bad-mouth one in front of the other, he/she gets so mad. And thatâs like the cutest shit ever.
OH HEY. ITâS THE ONE BL SHIP I ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT!! Um...well, these two are great. I thought they were great in college when I went through my fujoshi stage (ugh) BUT I STILL think theyâre great NOW. This is the anime version of The Odd Couple. With more gay. xD These two are sweet as chocolate. Their interaction is just precious. Whatâs more important? THEYâRE ACTUALLY GOOD FOR EACH OTHER. No rape. No forcing feels on each other, great chemistry, comforting comforters; all the reasons youâd ship a regular boyxgirl pairing. This one just happens to be two boys. AND I STILL DONâT KNOW IF THIS EVER TURNED CANON AFJLFJLFJDLJF
This is one of those very few Childhood Friend Ships Iâm all for. Itâs kind of crazy that they were able to rank this high when I havenât even finished their story yet. BUT I LOVE THEM. I was going to pick a ship and say âImagine _____, except theyâre little kids.â But actually, Iâm having a hard time comparing them to another ship I can think of. So...theyâre KINDA âSlap Slap Kissâ-ish but Seiya does not hide his feelings. AT ALL. Heâs pretty out-spoken about it. And all he wants to do is sweep her off her feet...but itâs basically the other way around xD As for Ririka...going by Shoujo Logic, her crush on (wow heâs so boring I canât even remember his stupid name LOL) is superficial and she subconsciously has deeper feelings for Seiya that sheâs unaware of...but damn, she sure gets fired up when heâs hurt in front of her! So that gives me hope.
This is just a given. Itâs HIGHLY unlikely you would find another âBest Shoujo Pairingâ list WITHOUT them. So heâs already there but HURRY UP AND REALIZE YOU LOVE HIM, AHIRU. Lol dammit. The only hint we get from her is âFakir always makes me strongerâ and that SINGLE LINE is deeper than ANY thought she ever had about Mytho. Hell, Iâm pretty sure Ikuko herself ships them hard. Their entire relationship is so beautifully crafted...just like the rest of the series except maybe for Ahiruâs crush on Mytho which just had me going âLOLWHYâ the entire time.
âSLAP SLAP KISSâ LITERALLY. All they do is fight...and then kiss. xD Theyâre always saving each other, supporting each other, underneath all those insults, then they get married and have two cute kids. Some people think Kazuneâs too hard on her...but itâs âtough loveâ. He has to be because thatâs what motivates her. Every single thing Kazune does in the series is strictly for her sake. Their main problem is miscommunication...but I think that goes away quickly so who cares?
Yes, yes, I know. We have two major problems here: The first is initial sexual harassment. Obviously.
But hereâs the second problem:
ITâSÂ JUST TOO DAMN FCKING HOT.
Tooyama Ema knew how to turn up the sexual tension to ELEVEN with these two. Good lord, did she ever. This is by far the sexiest manga Iâve ever read!! Whoever coined the phrase âDOKI-DOKI MOTHERFUCKERâ surely had to be reading about Yukina making Shigure do things and Shigure making Yukina do things. While the ship (born from blackmail) should strictly fall into âGuilty Pleasure Smutâ category, it only teeters on the edge. For me, at least. Why? Because the character development is actually really damn good. Shigure goes from Cold, Uncaring Magnificent Bastard to Excellent Tsundere Boyfriend Material quite steadily and beautifully. Heâs also the only character in the series who can handle Yukinaâs personality flaws. Basically, âheâs good for herâ while the others are...um, terrible. xD
HEY. ITâS âANIME TWILIGHT EXCEPT IT DOESNâT SUCKâ SHIP.
Itâs an ancient story. âVampires make sexy boyfriendsâ. I believe this has been going on for a reeeeeeeeeeeeeeally long time. Like.....since the 30s, maybe? When did Anne Rice start writing? IDK ANYWAY ITâS A THING. Cutesy human girl wants vampire. The vampire is broody, dark, emo. âIâm dangerous. Stay away from me. Youâll only get hurtâ. But they still turn into an off-again, on-again thing because he canât make up his f*cking mind on whether to protect her at his side or âprotect by neglectâ. Weâve all heard it before.
EXCEPT THAT IS NOT THIS STORY.
No, itâs cutest f*cking damn vampire romance Iâve ever had the pleasure of seeing. And yeah, I did watch Karin and Tsukuyomi Moon Phase but Iâm partial to vampire stories for women so fck that. lol. So...where to start. First of all, Riho loved him way before she even knew what he was. When she finds out, she still loves him. And he does do the âYouâre better off not being with me because dangerâ. But he doesnât say this to be edgy or to manipulate her; he says it because what he does is actually dangerous enough for her to get killed and he doesnât want that. But she doesnât give a damn. And he treats her like a princess. And she finds out how lonely he is and vows to always stay at his side and he respects her f*cking decisions and they go on cute dates and always comfort each other and just afjalfjalfjaijfIWEJFILOVETHISSHIPSOMUCH.
Before I get to #1, hereâs some honorable mentions:
SakuraxSyaoran from CCS
YonaxHak from Akatsuki no Yona
KurosakixTeru from Dengeki Daisy
KirarixHiroto from Kirarin Revolution
DaichixNajika from Kitchen Princess
TamakixHaruhi from Ouran High School Host Club
ZeroxYuuki from Vampire Knight
Note: I am not good at top lists. This was insanely f*cking hard to do.
So....drumroll..........

WHO SAW THIS COMING?
WHO FCKING SAW THIS COMING?
IF YOU DIDNâT,
YOU DONâT KNOW ME.
GET OFF MY BLOG.
These two pairings are....like...they affect me in ways I just cannot fathom. Like...I literally do not understand how theyâve cast these obsessive spells on me...but they have. Fanart records do not lie. And mine...for both of them is ridiculous.
So why?
The best answer I can come up with is...
âMost emotionally deepâ. They inspire me. They make me squeal with joy and break down sobbing. They give me warm fuzzy feelings while at the same time, tearing my heart to shreds. I just canât get enough of either one. Itâs almost like theyâve touched my soul somehow. I just donât know. I donât think thereâs a ship that expresses the feeling of âsoulmatesâ stronger than these two ships. I feel like Takuto and Mitsuki and Issac and Rachel were born so they could meet each other. Theyâre both oddly similar...and yet different as night and day seewhatIdidtharwiththepics. I think âsacrificeâ and âsalvationâ is what I respond most to when I think about ever-lasting true love. And everything about these four charactersâ development is centered around these two things.
#shoujo#shipping#happy valentines day#I'm like so bad at elimination lol#feel free to ask me about a ship I didn't list#or one I did#long post

Unpopular "TSwift" Opinion/ Rant Below
For what itâs worth, I donât like Taylor Swift.
I donât talk about not liking Taylor Swift in white spaces, particularly white online spaces (such as the one I occupy here): 1. My anti-Taylor feelings are not passionate enough for me to spend time on 2. I find that discussing Taylor involves a lot of hurt white feelings, which clogs inboxes and direct messages and I donât find it worth wading through that because 3. See point #1.
That said, I fundamentally believe that Taylor Swift built the heights of her success on the backs of black artists, two specific black artists in particular. Both of whom have proven themselves to be more innovative than sheâs ever been. My own feelings about Kanye and his obvious mental health problems aside, I do not believe Taylor would have become who she did as fast as she did without him or Bey.
I think Taylor, like a lot of white women- particularly thin, conventionally attractive, straight white women- learned early on that there is value in playing up their victimhood. And she uses it to her advantage.
Did she eventually grow into a talented songwriter? Sure.
As a fan of pop music, have I enjoyed some of her songs? Absolutely.
Do I think she âearnedâ all of her fame? I. DO. NOT.
Taylor Swift is the poster child of white feminism ⢠and the praise of white mediocrity.
If Kanye West had interrupted, say, Nicki Minaj with that exact same speech- it wouldnât have become a cultural zeitgeist. And for what itâs worth, while I absolutely disagree with his methods, itâs true that BeyoncĂŠ 100% did have the better video . Single Ladies was a fundamental game changer when it was released. âYou Belong with Meâ looked like the videos of a thousand other pop love songs from the 90s and 00s. A dime a dozen. A fact that Taylor would never cop too.
And from every look of it, the aesthetics of her new video are straight up plagiarized from Formation. Many musicologists have pointed out that Taylorâs arguably biggest hit (and breakout pop record signaling her âadult careerâ) âShake it Offâ has the same backbones of Janelle Monaeâs crossover hit âTightropeâ. SoâŚâŚ yeah. Mediocrity and the theft of black womenâs cultural work does not impress me.
Taylor often does the bare minimum, and she gets praised for it. And then allows the praise to happen even when she must know itâs not well earned.
When Adele won the Grammy over Bey last year, she used her white privilege to call out the racism and hypocrisy in the academy. Could you ever imagine the same from Taylor? If you are honest with yourself, you already know the answer to that question. Crickets.
When Kanye used an (absolutely sexist, misogynistic) gross line about Taylor in his most recent album, and even worse imagery, he did the bare minimum (I wonât call it more than that, because the imagery was gross ) of getting her permission first. Taylor later PLAYED VICTIM ANYWAY, even though she knew about it ahead of time and given her approval. She then only furthered her victim card when she got publicly caught in the lie.Â
Thatâs not only unprofessional, that type of lying about sexual harassment is a detriment to real women victims.
The album Taylor is about to release is coming out on the anniversary of Kanyeâs mothers death. A death in his life that, by most sources, is when he started to lose his mental control.
Thatâs. Not. Just. Petty. â itâs abusive. But no one would dare call her out on it, because she is a white woman who is seen as harmless and in need of protection from the âbig scary black manâ. Thatâs peak white feminism.
Anyway, love Taylor if you want to. Defend her if you want to. Say âI get the white feminism critiques, BUTTTTâŚ.â if you want to.
I just had to get that rant off of my chest. Reblog Taylor, I wonât comment. Iâve said my peace.
#a -very long- word from our sponsors#back to your regularly scheduled programming already in progress#I hate white feminism#and I have a VERY LOW TOLERANCE for the white theft of black culture

Mr.It And Pikachu Shirt
Do you love it? https://kuteeboutique.com/shop/mr-it-and-pikachu-shirt/
Mr.It And Pikachu Shirt
Once again âSOME lMr.It And Pikachu Shirtâ. Also these same ladies have a very small sense of self accountability. Davis I know my comment was rude, but people that make up stats to prove their points irritate me. Also be honest, you laugh a little, right? It has nothing to do with feminism. I do not understand how people can get so angry in this feed. Turns out the stats are real and that more than 1in 4 women has been raped and that more than 85% already had to suffer some kind of sexual abuse, discrimination or harassment. Itâs a fact. And weâre not talking psychopaths escaped from prison, weâre talking about your uncle, your classmate, that guy on the bus, that teacher, your friend.
Mr.It And Pikachu Shirt, Hoodie, Sweater, Ladies T-Shirt
Mr It And Pikachu Hoodie
All these people minimising the crime exactly like youâre doing right now. The normal reaction here would just be âWow, ok, so this means there might be an issue with the way we educate our boys, maybe we should at least try something!â Even if you donât agree with the method, even if , yes, it happened some women have raped men (If it happens the other way around we have to stop fighting all together? Wtf?) , even if you, like many other men I know, are just normal intelligent guys who would never do such a thing. But, hey, thing is, a frightening number of men do not even see this as something that bad.
Mr It And Pikachu Sweat Shirt
So instead of fighting for absolutely nothing here, why not join forces and just teach our damm kids (male and female) about conscent and respect? Here, easy. Insane MRA made up statistics. Iâm sure more children rape adults in that bizarro world too. Even worse is the idea that you even need a metaphor for consent. Geoff McCarty There have been numerous anti rape campaigns focusing on how it is wrong to rape for decades now. All of those examples of âteaching how not to rapeâ and we still have rape. Notice how the narrative goes straight to âteach boys not to rapeâ instead of âteach everyone not to rape.â
Mr It And Pikachu Ladies Tee
Mr.It And Pikachu Shirt, Hoodie, Sweater, Ladies T-Shirt
Mr It And Pikachu Ladies V Neck
Itâs because they are choosing to be willfully ignorant of female perpetrators. Or worse, they just donât think itâs a problem worth addressing. Why bring boys into it at all if it isnât coming from a deeply sexist idealism against men. Iâm all for continuing to teach everyone how rape is bad. But when we start singling out one gender we treat in unethical territory, and that is bad for all genders. Geoff McCarty Actually, I think you had the right idea all along. Continue to teach everyone boys and girls alike that rape is wrong. But, also teach boys that girls can be rapists too, youâre erection doesnât imply consent, and forced to penetrate is just as much rape as penetration.
Mr It And Pikachu Unisex Tank Top
Teach girls how to not consent. (I remember my middle school teachers telling the girls in class not to turn their rape into a murder and to just go along with it then tell someone.) How about teaching girls how to not consent, or how to retract consent clearly. Oh, and, if you are ever in this situation here is what to do to try to protect yourself if you can, and/or what to do if you are raped. Itâs okay to try to fight off your rapist. But for goodness sake and for the sake of our future generations make the education for everyone or else we ignore potential rapists and victims.
Mr It And Pikachu Unisex Longsleeve
You both made absolutely spot on points, and now the crickets are singing. Go figure. HuffPost is full of raging liberal feminists. Itâs always âmenâ who are the root if their problems. Maybe all of us men should start a GoFundMe page, donate to it, buy these lunatics their own island, and tell them to stay there, with no men. Iâm sure theyâll figure out how to clear land, run heavy machinery, build homes, infrastructure, etc. Right? That, coming from a woman who signs petitions asking lMr.It And Pikachu Shirt to end child marriage in countries he has no authority in. YeahâŚ..real credible stuff there. Darryl Moore and other people saying nasty stuff like âyoure too ugly to rapeâ etc.. I only have one question for you.

Jfc. Okay, let me be perfectly fucking clear,...
I just wanna day as an inc*st survivor myself Iâm so sorry what has happened to you, what these anons are putting you through, and what they will undoubtably continue to put you through. Iâm here if you ever need to vent/talk/etc â¤ď¸đ§Ąđđđđâ¤ď¸
*hugs to you for your shit as well*Â
Thanks, I appreciate it, but honestly Iâll be fine. The thing none of these anons ever get is how fucking powerless and pointless they are. Its like....LMFAO, Iâve survived abuse, rape, and a gaybashing. You really think your shitty little hostile messages are whatâs going to break me or shut me up? LOL, please. Youâre embarrassing yourselves. The most theyâve ever managed is being obnoxious gnats that are hard to swat and annoy the shit out of me.
Tbh, its not the anons that really bother me. Its the silence about their behavior. Iâve been out here catching shit like this for years...and so does most every other survivor I know whoâs vocal about their trauma and how unsupported they feel by the very fandoms that pay the most lip service to caring about abuse, rape and rape culture. Not to mention all my friends of color who are vocal about racism, etc, etc.
And yet how many non-survivors (most white, because letâs be real, the vast majority of other âantisâ who are non-survivors themselves are people of color due to the overlap between people who fetishize and invalidate racial generational trauma and people who fetishize and invalidate survivor trauma of all types and individuals).....like, time and time again, you hear about âantiâ behavior and how disruptive it is to fandoms....with this signalboosted and perpetuated by people who just claim they want to âstay out of itâ and be civil and mannered and canât we all just get along....
Well, no. We fucking canât.....because the day some of us, whether survivors, people of color, nonbinary or trans individuals, started to say âhey, there are elements of fandom that actively are HARMFUL and ostracizing to usâ a lot of people decided they just didnât want to hear that, and only peeked their heads up to acknowledge when âantisâ rocked the boat a little too loudly.
But yeah, its only us who go around harassing people, never the other way around. At least, thatâs the impression anyone would get from looking at any of the blogs of people who just want everyone to be nice and civil to each other....but only seem to get the alert when that goes in the direction that requires zero action on their part.
I mean, just speaking strictly to matters pertaining to being an abuse/rape survivor, Iâm just so fucking sick of hearing all the lip service about how âI support survivorsâ.....from people who then make it clear that only is actionable for them WHEN NO ACTION IS ACTUALLY REQUIRED.
Hence why thereâs always that tiny little qualifier in arguments around various forms of âantiâ discourse.....stuff pertaining to rape, incest and pedophilia fetishization....so many people when they say they support survivors in fandom ACTUALLY seem to mean âwell I really MOSTLY support the survivors who say they write these things to cope, because even though I donât ship or read or write these things myself, I support their right to do so, as opposed to those other âantiâ survivorsâ right to have fandom experiences that donât require being IMMERSED 24/7 in romanticized reminders of their own traumas.â
*Shrugs* Iâm sick of it. Iâve watched it happen for YEARS, being right in the middle of it, and no one can tell me this isnât EXACTLY whatâs been happening for all this time, and why so many fandoms have remained exactly the way they are, problems and all, with zero effort to change or be more inclusive of all the people on the margins for various reasons saying âHEY WHAT ABOUT USâ....and then turning around and patting themselves on the back for being so civilized, so courteous, so ABOVE descending into the kind of barbaric behavior that only antis are guilty of. Never the reverse. Never the things that INSPIRE our anger or vitriol as a reaction to the fact that weâre just trying to fucking EXIST in fandom spaces and everyone else who was just fine with the way things are now saying âno, change doesnât actually work for us, because that means....effort?â
How can you say you support survivors if you never actually DO anything supportive? How can you say you support people of color if you never actually SPEAK UP for them when you see or are surrounded by blatantly evident racism? How can you say you support LGBTQ+ individuals if your READING PREFERENCES are more of a priority to you than their living experiences?
Iâm not pissed off about the barrage of insects in my inbox, honestly.Â
Iâm pissed off by the crickets that resound from everyone who at other times is first in line to say âI absolutely support xyz! Just, yâknow, in that quiet, invisible way thatâs more enabling of toxic, harmful, racist, homophobic, transphobic and rape-culture tropes and individuals than like....the actual people Iâm claiming to actually support.â
Hereâs a âif a tree falls in the middle of the forest and no oneâs around to hear it, does it make a soundâ for the social media age:
âIf your support canât be pointed to, quantified, singled out, observed, identified, or in any way meaningfully proven to exist....then DOES IT?â
Idk. I mean, I just really love how in just the few months Iâve been an active presence in this particular fandom, Iâve garnered a reputation of being unreasonable and disruptive and overly aggressive....all while sticking ENTIRELY to my own blog, not going NEAR any tags, only jumping on someone elseâs post a grand total of three times that I can think of....and all while my own fandom related posts are continually garnering hundreds and even thousands of notes and being spread around by people who at the same time actively avoid interacting with me as an individual because Iâm âunpleasantâ.....as opposed to all the big name incest shippers who well, even if someone doesnât ship those icky things themselves, at least they can say those incest and pedophilia shippers are a lot less disruptive and unpleasant to be around and know how to be polite and well-mannered.
LOLOL.
When civility is indistinguishable from apathy, youâve fucking missed the entire freaking point of civility.Â
THATâS why I donât bother blunting myself with it, when I donât particularly feel civil. Because its become pointless. People have fucking WEAPONIZED it to use it to silence people, and thatâs so gross to me. Nobody benefits from that unless theyâre already benefiting from the status quo, and the status quo is fucking gross to me too.
My question, to all the people who see things they think are wrong and never say a damn word about it...is and will always be:
WHY????
