OH SKETCHES FOR SURE!!!! Sketching is so so relaxing to me. Its just me blotting down the image in my head as quickly as possible and it makes me so happy! The lining can be relaxing sometimes but oooo coloring my detested. I love SEEING it finished, but coloring takes oh so long. I fuss so much with the colors to make them look nice. It takes ages. Sketching, however, is nice and easy for me! Super fun! Here! Take some sketches of Wally I did recently!!!

oh dear lord it's been another year. 2024! can you believe it! i don't talk much on this blog because i have a tendency to talk too much, but it's my little new year's treat, so here we go.

RECAP

i started taking drawing "seriously" in December of 2020, starting to do studies and stuff, and each year since i've ramped it up more and more. this year, i did. a lot of studies. there's probably like at least 200 more in my folder now (not including the 300 days worth of gesture drawings i did), with things like painting, faces, feet, poses, etc. anything i was struggling with, i went right into studying it. my art has been mediocre for a pretty long time now, and it's only the past few months where i feel i'm starting to get the hang of it, which is exciting!

more importantly, i started posting a lot more on this blog. i really like documenting my progress, looking on where i was before and seeing how i've improved. everytime i draw some fanart, im like, oooghh i can't wait to show my (: followers (: !! lots of locked tomb art of course. i've been trying to nail the energy of the different characters, which is why i enjoy books so much, because you get a lot of creative control. drawing ianthe is my fav of course, cause she's my lil nasty, but also i enjoyed doing designs for characters i hadnt thought about before, like judith.

in addition to the locked tomb, we had some new fandoms that got brief moments in between iantheposting: Fear and Hunger, Postal, Faith The Unholy Trinity, and a couple of old ones too, like We Have Always Lived In The Castle and The Merciless.

i posted about 115 times this year, although most of those are shitposts LOL i love posting stuff on my blog and showing people my stuff <3

THE FUTURE

my plans? do more ianthe art, of course. ill be working on more studies, probably going to work on developing a style, and figuring out how to paint. i'd like to do more actually finished pieces, but let's be honest, it'll still be mostly shitpost doodles. i'd like to do more weird stuff. i've been messing around with some gore and NSFW near the end of the year, and it's fun to draw for me. i like idk art that evokes some type of emotion, especially discomfort, and so i find that type of art fun to do, so if you don't enjoy what i've done thus far in that direction, perhaps this isn't the blog for you. i really like horror media, and so i want to do some stuff like that too.

for specifics, i like western type art, a comic book-esque style i'd like to aim for. but i'd like it to be a little more. weird with it. i find comic books often draw all the characters the same, and make all the characters traditionally attractive, and that's boring to me so i'll have to work on finding a way to keep things weird, while also appealing in a graphic sense. the worst thing my art could be is bland and forgettable.

locked tomb wise... more tridentarii art. need to be really weird with it. i have lots of wips planned, like i have a whole page worth of just thumbnails, so i wanna get some of those done. also i had a few animatics i wanted to do. mostly stupid shit, once i learn how to do animatics, then we'll do actual serious ones. id also like to do more comics. i have some comics storyboarded out with my girlies, i like telling a story so, need practice on that. id also like to develop a way to consistently draw them, for convenience sakes, so i'm not fighting for my life every single time i draw these characters. oh and i wanna do some outfit stuff. i draw them in like. generic clothes everytime but i'd like to come up with a few actual outfit designs, that i can just reference back to. and, of course, more shitposts. lots of stupid shit in 2024 for sure. there was something else i wanted to say here but i can't remember.

began this year by warming up with gesture sketches (almost) every day. i started with 20 poses (30 seconds each), and then in november i was like. ugh my hands suck i need to get better at hands, so i switched to doing 10 hand sketches (60 seconds each). i want my art to be very energetic so it's important that i do these !!

anatomy studies of extremities because i'm flopping at those -_- ive gotten better with hands but they're still a struggle. i hate feet tho still

need to get my painting game up. i joined an art forum to get advice, and the biggest suggestion i got was working on my values, so i did various value studies. also lots of faces because my faces flop !!

random doodles to work on drawing from imagination. on my "sketchbook" pages, as i like to call them, i'm usually pretty loose and messy, since the point is just to be drawing so often these will suck, but that's fine. i don't think very much when i draw faces on here either so they end up being in my Instinctive Style i suppose you could say

ianthe wip. i was planning to do a few drawings based on the idea of her having Missing Arm nightmares, but the lineart was intimidating to me so i haven't worked on this one more yet /: also there was going to be a toontown gay homosexual toxic yuri comic that i was gonna put here with it but the page is way too long so umm guess that'll have to wait.

I feel so sad for Normal because we saw thus arc coming from a mile away. I remember listening to episodes and bejng fristrated with how other characters were responding to Normal cause I KNEW it was making this worse in his mind. and like I get them too they're all going trough heinous shit but like...fucking ouch man this was so preventable

i'm a little more emotional about this follower milestone than most others due to the circumstances of getting here. i have a bit of words to say, i'll leave them under cut

it's been truly surreal discovering the project and the fact that in its current state it just barely exists, yet the work evidently put into it was enough to explode into what seems to be a pretty sizable fanbase.

like many others, i first heard of it through a video suggestion on youtube, the one that caused such a massive boost in attention to begin with. i may have seen a post about the voice actor call but with no context immediately forgot about it. for me part of the interest also was caused by the fact that while discovering it i was in the middle of finishing the process of moving to a new apartment, so a work named "welcome home" felt like incredible timing. not to mention the nostalgia to sesame street and the concept of it being used for a horror project, especially involving eyes.

it's truly heartbreaking what happened. i can't imagine what it's like being in the position of being just one person stared at by so many people, excited and curious about your work. it shouldn't be that hard to follow the boundaries set down either, and the fact that i see certain tags when posting my fanart of wh on twitter is genuinely sickening. i wish people respected and understood just how early the attention boost happened. my only hope is that the break from online is serving him well, that he still has the strength to keep going with the project, and the more ravenous, toxic attention dies down as quickly as most Hot Topics of the Week do.

most of work i create is fan art of other works, and not a single work that is being posted is created to get clout or profit in popularity, including the few things i made with welcome home characters. every fully rendered and not so fully rendered and even doodle posts are all a labor of love for the works i happen to enjoy (or even hyperfixate on) at any given moment. i don't know if i'll make any more fanart of wh for the time being, at least until there's new stuff? we'll have to see.

Hi! I see you are trying to post a drawing every day. Do you go by a prompt list? How do you keep yourself motivated (I also have been slacking off lmao)

Hey! I know what that's like trust me.

I feel like my biggest motivator was seeing how much I was struggling to draw, I was begging to use reference photos more as a crutch than as a tool and my art was suffering hard for it.

Your motivation is gonna differ from mine depending on your goals. I want to pursue animation as a career, so I had to stop what I was doing and truly ask myself ' at my current skill level, could I realistically compete in the industry' and the answer was fuck no.

Why do you want to keep drawing? Just to get better? To pursue a career? To make yourself happy? To install a level of virtue?

Different goals will push you toward different levels of discipline and motivation.

I have been only doing it for less than a week, but I already found myself starting to make excuses. Oh, I'm so tired, oh today it's just not my day, I can skip today and post 2 drawings tomorrow... and that is the n1 reason why I'm posting all my drawings for this challenge.

I work a regular 9-5 and I'm a full time student, not too hard, but I don't have all the time in the universe. I said to myself, I'm posting these, I'm holding myself accountable, so if I fuck up and miss a day everyone will see. Maybe it's a shame motivator, maybe some advanced form of people pleasing, but I do really feel like this is the best way to actually draw evryday for ME. I procrastinate, a lot.

Regarding prompts, I'm always open for requests, but I don't really have the traction to gain more than a couple of 'em. I do not follow any prompt list cause I feel like that would not be very engaging, but that's probably a me thing.

Usually what I do is write down everything that passes through my mind, just open notepad on my phone and scribble the concept of the drawing (5-6 words at most). I have 2 pages worth full of bullet notes that I skim through every day when looking for prompts. Also Pinterest, Pinterest is amazing for inspiration in designs, poses, concepts, anything. I use Pinterest more than Tumblr, just scrolling and saving interesting stuff I find; save everything, you'll be thankful later. The algorithm adapts to what you engage with, so it will take a bit of exploration to get a front page that will recommend the right stuff for you if you're a fresh account, but it's 100% worth it.

Last thing, I love Sailor Moon, more than anything. It's the only constant source of inspiration and motivation that carried me for almost 20 years. I will draw fanart for other stuff, but SM is THE reason I do what I do.

I believe in you! You don't have to follow my format since that's a very personalized way of doing daily drawings, but if you tend to slack off, like yours truly, find the thing that will keep you going. For me it was making a promise online and sticking to it, so if I fail I'll be publicly humiliated.

Not well written though probably and I tend to rarely go through my work to look for mistakes.

Despite Killian being kidnapped and handcuffed EVERY THING IS CONSENSUAL... Tristan is crazy obsessed with Beckett so he's very happy.

The bag was stuffy, head phones covered his ears, they'd knocked off his glasses in their struggle to capture him, he could barely see without them.

Now his hands were cuffed behind his back, a hand on each upper arm, honestly Tristan was terrified, the car ride seemed a life time, though realistically it was only ten to fifteen minutes long.

He'd pleaded saying he was a no body just a scientist the agency threw in the corner and that no one ever took him seriously.

He was hunched, trying to tuck his head into his shoulders, so this was how he was going to die.

He felt every bump of the car and turn, trying to map out where he was going but he didn't recognise this route, usually he rode every where on his bicycle, deep blue with a silver bell and a basket on the front to pick up dinner on his way home...

Home where he could research the Criminal Master mind Walter Beckett ...to a near unhealthy obsession...alright it was unhealthy when you imagined him pushing you back against the table parting your thighs, fucking you and making you look at him by holding your head with his clawed hand....

Fuck was he going to die thinking about Walter, a man who didn't even known he existed...well he had no one, nothing living to care about...he might as well think of someone who made him happy even if only in his fantasies before he died right.

He was pulled from the car where he tried kicking at his handlers, Tristan didn't get very far though as one of them punch his gut winding him, he was wheezing as he was taken out of the vehicle.

"You know he's gonna kill you for that right."

The first handler smacked the second on the back of the head

"Only if this limp dick tells him, he's too much of pussy to squeal."

"I wouldn't be so sure of that, but Im not covering your ass."

He was dragged through the facility, Tristan refused to make it easy to carry him and went limp.

Other workers watched as they went by, another two carried Tristans legs who now tried to struggle again, what the hell was going on!

He was sat in a chair with ease, after all their boss was right there, the workers didn't dare handle him as if he were anything less than a handle with care package with fragile taped all over him.

"Well are you going to take that off him, it's a little hard for dramatic entrances when he can't even see me."

"Yes sir, right away."

The bag was pulled off swiftly with the headphones clattering to the floor.

Tristan squinted, everyone looked like blurs, he could see faces only as different coloured splodges, his hair sticking up in different angles, shoulders aching now, he still sat up right, heart racing

"Where are his glasses?"

Tristan turned to where he heard the man speak, it was cold, commanded respect...familiar but no it couldn't be...

"Sebastian, where are his glasses?"

"I ah, James you see knocked them off in the struggle and-"

A metal arm, supporting four claw digits at it's end clasped his face

"What did I tell you about people with glasses, remove them, keep them what Sebastian."

He had brought the man to his knees holding so tightly Sebastian could feel his skull on the verge of cracking, he let out a cry as he managed to finish the sentence

"Safe!"

He'd let go of Sebastian and beckoned over his other crew member, Tristan knew this voice but it couldn't be him, he must still be disorientated.

He said softly, curling his his claws around James's tie, Sebastian stepped back, well he had warned his coworker and with a snap and flick of his wrist the tie had been pulled so hard and tight the man's neck had been snapped.

"He had trouble following orders, first few times is understandable, you're settling into this new life but after five years it should not be that hard."

Tristan wished he'd had his glasses because if this was Walter Beckett he would have just witnessed one of Becketts trade mark moves and yes maybe would have gushed like a fan boy.

He was going to pretend it was him until he could see at the least and imagine he was kidnapped by Thee Walter Beckett.

He listened to him calling in clean up crew and for someone to bring up the glasses, his shape coming in closer and closer, it had to be him, the silver blurred limb was on his left, the hair colour.

"I'll cut to the chase, as I said we check everyone who even so much as types my name out of curiosity and when I found out you were working for the agency that has reaaaally caused a lot of problems in my life I researched you."

Tristan was staring, no way did Walter not feel the protruding problem down below, you would literally have to be either dead or have no feeling in your body to not notice that, he was still, he listened to him, was he having a wet dream, it had to be a dream right?

"Besides my uh Internet history...what...what did you find out."

"Oh you know, that you're an under appreciated scientist who came up with designs so dangerous they had to lock them away...and I may have slightly stolen them, now while I could personally and am the only qualified person here to build such delicious technology...."

He slipped his hand under Tristans lab coat, slowly rubbing his palm against his chest and smirking at the shakey breath and the way Tristan adjusted his hips, oh he could certainly feel that reaction

This post will be updated as I do each prompt. Yellow unicorn horn will indicate that I've received an ask for that prompt, and pink will indicate that I have completed my fic for that prompt. Please only send me asks for prompts that are completely uncovered.

On top of this, I am doing the bingo for the Teen Titans Cartoon, Batfam, and DC Comics fandoms only. Anything else will not be allowed.

Now, you may be wondering- what information should you specify in your ask?

Here's a list of things you can specify, on top of the required prompt specification. Please include at least one of the following:

1. Victim Character(s): Basically just whoever the bad thing is hurting. If I haven't already written (or done a different kind of fanwork) for them before, there's definitely a chance I don't know enough about them to do the prompt. If so, I'll let you know. But to avoid this, I recommend trying to do characters from Batman Comics or the Teen Titans cartoon, since that's more my area of knowledge. That being said, you're allowed to ask for literally any DC character as long as you're okay with it being rejected.

2. Relationship(s) of Comfort: This is the relationship of the victim character and whoever is helping/comforting them. If #1 is not mentioned, they will be chosen out of the characters inside the ship. The relationships can be platonic, romantic, familial, whatever. As a solid rule, though, I will not be writing for any inc*stual, p*dophillic or otherwise inheriently abusive ships (No hate to the shippers of course, this a personal preference), at least for this category. The prosecutor and victim having an abusive relationship of some kind is very different, of course.

3. Culprit/Prosecutor Character(s): This is basically just whoever is causing the bad thing. In some situations, such as sneezing, this may not be an option at all. But in the situations where it can be specified, the same rule as for the victim applies- I have every right to reject a request due to a lack of knowledge about the character. That being said, I am going to be much more open with this one since it's easier to write bad guys you don't know too much about than a whumpee.

4. AU: Coffee shop AU, Highschool AU, you know the stuff... just please don't get carried away with how specific your AU is, especially if more than one other thing on this list is already being specified. I still need some creative freedom!

Hi hello I hope you're doing alright. I'm sorry if this has been asked before but I'm very curious how and when did you start drawing? I'm in my early 20s and I desperately want to start. But due to pandemic, I don't feel comfortable going out to take art classes, but I was thinking watching youtube videos to at least start from somewhere. Can you share any advice or tips? No it’s fine!! I don’t think it’s been asked? and if it has, it’s been awhile. 

I started drawing uhhhh, pretty early. Like, 5th grade, I was tracing and sight-tracing Pikachu cause he was brand new to me. From there it just sorta spiraled/grew from wanting to draw fanart to trying to create my own stories. I took any art class school allowed cause I wanted to become a manga-ka, lol;;;; that full weeb dream.

But after highschool, I couldn’t use my AP credits in college until I had a particular amount of other-credits so I just sort of stopped taking art classes after that (about... uhm, not to date myself but was a good decade and some change ago.)

So as far as getting better over those 13+ years has all been self taught, hopping between wanting to draw like particular mangas/animes I liked, or other fanartists I liked (nabbing an eye style, or how they draw hands, or etc etc here and there) I don’t have any kind of ‘professional’ schooling! Honestly as long as you have a drive to get better, you don’t really need professional schooling. A good anatomy book and just looking at other artists in your particular field/desire does wonders.

Also like... I don’t think I stopped drawing ever. I don’t feel fulfilled unless I try to draw something weekly (if not more frequent than that)-- but I kinda run into ruts where all I wanna draw is just “shoulder up face left”. But even then, it’s usually cause I saw something I hated a lot in my first attempt so I wanna try and get better with each passing?

Honestly for how long I’ve been drawing it’s not a lot of progress, there are some people who go from 0 to Fantastic within a year cause they’re just constantly forcing themselves and are determined to try new things and make visible progress with each finished piece and I wish I had half the drive those people do, it’s honestly inspiring. sdlkfhwe

I guess my advice is just “keep at it!” You’ll probably dislike your stuff at first (I suffer this now, even, I can’t really look back at anything older than a week and feel proud anymore. I see so many faults, and if I take too long on something I start to secondguess it so I’ve taught myself to draw fast too), but disliking it cause it doesn’t look up to snuff isn’t a bad thing! It just shows that even in practice, you realize there is more to work on! And you’ll hopefully stick with it, and love something you make!

Symphogear S1- Now this is MY kind of anime!

Every once and awhile when I'd log onto Twitter, I'd see people saying "watch Symphogear" accompanied by images from the show. From looking at the pictures, I assumed it was just another magical girl show like Precure but with less magic and more... techno. Oh, and apparently they sing while they fight? Sounds kinda dumb...

Buuuut... I have heard that there's some yuri content? Maybe I'll give it a try. I mean, I'm always open to watching new stuff, even if it's just a silly little kid's show 😅

Well........ color me hooked.

I have to say, this show is not at all what I was expecting in the best possible way. It feels a lot more like a Shounen action show along the lines of Fullmetal Alchemist or Neon Genesis Evangelion than a Magical Girl show (if that's even what it's supposed to be). Today, I'm going to be giving my first impressions of Senki Zesshou Symphogear season 1, which will be spoiler free for anyone who hasn't seen it yet.

Plot:

So what is Senki Zesshou Symphogear about?

In the not too distant future (next Sunday A.D.), Japan is under attack by monsters known as Noises, the likes of which cannot be killed by military weapons. The only thing that can kill them are girls clad in weaponized armor known as Gears, which is activated and powered by singing catchy techno-pop music.

One day, a girl named Hibiki Tachibana is caught in the middle of a battle, and one of the Gear users, Kanade Amou, sacrifices herself to save her. Two years later, Hibiki discovers that a piece of Kanade's Gear was embedded in her chest during the fight, giving her access to the Gear's powers. Hibiki is recruited by the Disaster Relief Squadron, the organization that created the Gears, to help defend Japan from the Noises.

However, Kanade's former girlfriend partner, Tsubasa Kazanari, sees Hibiki as nothing more than an obnoxious, naive girl trying to be Kanade's replacement. Will the two learn to work together, defeat the Noises, and possibly uncover a deeper plot to all the attacks?

Symphogear's plot might not be the most original thing ever; evil monsters attack, teenage girls transform into superpowered warriors to fight them, evil mastermind tries to take over the world, etc. But what makes this story stand out is it's unique approach to the fights. Having the Gears be powered by music, resulting in every fight being accompanied by a song, is either a genius way to amplify the fights, or a genius way for the producers to sell a techno soundtrack.

I was worried that the constant use of insert songs would become repetitive and annoying, but on the contrary, they heightened my enjoyment! The fights in Symphogear are easily my favorite part of the show: fast-paced, badass powers, lots of screaming, and downright brutal at times! Hibiki has officially joined the ranks of my all-time favorite battle cries, right up there with Goku from DBZ and Souma from Kannazuki no Miko.

If there was one thing I had to nitpick, it would be that most of the fights take away the credibility of the Noises. They're supposed to be this terrifying threat to Japan that can't be harmed by the military, but as soon as the Gear wielders show up, they're reduced to nothing more than cannon fodder as Hibiki and her comrades seem to waltz through them without breaking a sweat.

Thankfully, the versus matches between Gear wielders are much more balanced. My favorite has to be Hibiki vs Chris (see above), but then again, any fight with Chris is an absolute win!

Characters:

Hibiki Tachibana

Hibiki is your typical genki girl protagonist: optimistic, hyperactive, naive, and pure. What makes her a more compelling hero, however, is her slow growth into becoming a strong Gear wielder. Unlike most magical girl protagonists, who seem to master their powers after one line of "EH?! What just happened to me?!", Hibiki takes time to learn how to fight. She starts out with the mindset that she has to be Kanade's replacement and thus tries to fight just like her. However, she eventually comes to invent her own battle tactics that work much more in her favor. Mainly, punching the everloving shit out of everything in sight.

Hibiki is, in my opinion, a flat character done right. She doesn't go through any personal growth or development throughout the show (learning to fight doesn't count), but her belief that all humans can get along if they communicate and desire to protect people just because she wants to is the cause for most of the change in the people around her. The world is in a dark place, and Hibiki is the light. She doesn't need to change, because she's exactly what the world needs.

Tsubasa Kazanari

From what I've learned, Tsubasa is a favorite amongst Symphogear fans. Me personally, though, I have a few issues with her character. Now, I have nothing against brooding, damaged characters. In fact, Tsubasa's recovery from Kanade's death and learning to cherish her own life was incredibly engaging... for the most part. Sorry, but I can only take so much edge. Her constant repitition of "I am a sword, I exist only to fight" grew old after the first 10 or so times.

Also, while I love her overall development, I feel that her acceptance of Hibiki was a little rushed. For the first four episodes, she hates Hibiki for carrying Kanade's Gear to the point where she tries to fight her to the death. Then, after another fight sends her into a coma, she has a (extremely gay) hallucination of Kanade telling her to get over herself. Next episode, she's treating Hibiki as if they've been friends the whole time. Did I miss something? Did Hibiki even apologize for saying she wanted to replace Kanade? Did Tsubasa apologize for trying to shishkabob her?!

Development aside, her fighting style is awesome and unique, and leads to the best choreography in the show. Hopefully as I watch more seasons, my opinion of her will improve.

Chris Yukine

Best Girl. No questions. Anyone who disagrees is wrong. Deal with it.

Jokes aside, Chris is my favorite character of the show bar none. Maybe I just have a weakness for evil-turned-good characters, but I adored her "don't take no shit from nobody" attitude and her soft side emerging as the show progressed. And let me tell you, Tsubasa would have no right to brood if she knew what Chris went through as a child. I won't give anything away, but just a few brief images and harsh words were enough get the picture across and tug at my heartstrings.

She also had my favorite Gear and fighting style in the show. If there's one thing that always gets my blood pumping, it's gatling guns and an endless supply of missiles. Seriously, I could watch this girl fight for hours.

Kanade Amou

A moment of silence, ladies and gentlemen.

Kanade would be my favorite character if we had gotten more of her. But alas, she has to die in the very first episode. DAMN YOU, PLOT!!!

Even though we get very little of Kanade, she makes it her mission to leave a lasting impression. Her sacrifice at the beginning sets the tone for the rest of the show, and her flashback is the best of the bunch. I got hard chills when she transformed for the first time. Let's just say she's psychotic in all the right ways.

Kanade died for our sins. Remember that... 🙏

Finé

Our main villain of the show. That's it. There's really nothing much else to her. She's cruel, manipulative, and powerful beyond belief, as most big bosses of these kinds of shows are. She was honestly my least favorite part of the show.

Fine's motivation is incredibly confusing on first watch. I had to go back to pause and read the subtitles multiple times to understand her backstory, but maybe that's my fault for being a slow reader. On the other hand, the explanation as to who she is and why she's so powerful comes right out of nowhere and doesn't seem to connect to anything the story had been building up to that point. Also, by the time I understood her motivation and actually found it a little intriguing, she dropped the dreaded "I'm going to take over the world" line. Aaaaand.... all my interest just went out the window.

There is a twist involving her connection to a certain other character in the show that I genuinely didn't see coming, but in the end, it wasn't nearly enough to make up for her shortcomings.

Miku Kohinata

God bless this little angel. Miku is a precious cinnamon roll who must be protected at all costs. Thankfully, Hibiki's got it covered 👍

Words cannot express how much I love this girl. She may be only a supporting role for the time being, but good lord, does she support! It always broke my heart whenever she tried to spend time with Hibiki or talk to her, but the Disaster Relief Squad kept pulling them apart. I know DRS is classified, but Miku deserves better than to have secrets kept from her! Life sucks when your girlfriend best friend is a superhero...

Well, that was a mouthful. There's a lot more characters in this show, but I don't really have much to say about them. However, while we're on the subject of Miku, let's move on to the reason I checked this show out in the first place, and the reason I'm sure most of you read my stuff.

Yuri:

No sooner did I finish this show did I start looking up HibiMiku fanart 😍

I was expecting a fair dosage of yuribait going into Symphogear, but mother of all that is gay, did I get an overdose!

First and foremost, the main ship: HibiMiku. These two are dating. Nothing anyone says will change my mind. They compliment each other perfectly, with Hibiki's energy and Miku's sweetness... HHNNNGGH! IT'S TOO PRECIOUS! I sincerely hope these two get more time together in the next few seasons. Now if only they'd stop with the damn F word...... 😡

Next up, TsubaKana. This one seems more like it was one-sided feelings on Tsubasa's part, judging by how dedicated Kanade was to fighting the Noise. Regardless, you don't just lose all sense of your humanity and self-worth after your "partner" dies. And all that hardcore blushing in the flashbacks and naked cuddling dream sequences... nah, Tsubasa was hella hot for Kanade. Sadly, our lord and savior was taken from Ms. Brooding too soon.

Finally, there's Ryoko Sakurai, the DRS's head scientist. She was initially hinted to be gay, what with her being all too eager to have Hibiki undress and wanting to "pop her cherry" (yes, an adult said that to a 15 year-old). However, after a certain conversation occurred, it seemed more like she was straight or at least bisexual, if all that dirty talk wasn't just teasing.

I've heard future seasons introduce more potential couples, so I'm keeping my eyes open and my yuri goggles on tight 😋

Conclusion:

I enjoyed the first season of Senki Zesshou Symphogear through and through. As someone who enjoyed Akanesasu Shoujo and Magical Girl Spec-Ops Asuka, I have a soft spot for shows about badass girls kicking monster ass and unleashing their inner yuri. Overall though, I think Symphogear might be my favorite of the bunch so far. It has its fair share of flaws, sure, but I think its positives outweigh the negatives by a long shot. If I got this much enjoyment out of the first season, I cannot wait to see what the following seasons have to offer!

Symphogear delivers a fun, action-packed story with colorful characters, kickass fight scenes, head-banging music and plenty of yuri content. Anyone who loves Magical Girls or Shounen battle shows needs to check it out!

Ok it's 3:07 now and I just... Wow

I mean I didn't expect to watch all of this tonight but I did and I just.... Holy shit

Like I have no words I just.... That was a crazy season. Book? Why are they called books instead of seasons I don't think I completely understand why shows do that lol is it cause like each one focuses on a different set of main characters? Idk.

Anyway... I just.... Yeah I have no words. Hazel was really cute, rip tuba, I can totally understand why I saw so many people hating Simon, and like recentlyish I saw a thread on twitter of screenshots from various modern cartoons and like.... Him... Melting? It was like that that was there and I only saw it for like a second then but like honestly I was half expecting him to get thrown into the wheels not... Whatever happened lol I'm just gonna say melting cause that makes the most sense....

....I saw on twitter that it might not get renewed for more seasons, even though the guy who made it (owen? Owen dennis? Pretty sure I've been following him since like the pilot lol) said he had many more stories to tell... And I really hope he'll get to tell them, that was.... A really good show and story. And wow, people were definitely right in saying the 2nd/3rd seasons were way darker in the first cause like... W o w. I do miss tulip though lol

Anyway it's 3:15 am and I need to get to bed cause I have class tomorrow... I'm sure tomorrow I'm going to be finding reblogging a bunch of like fanart and stuff, as I do once I binge watch a show for the first time... Idk how this fandom is with tagging spoilers, idk how long after an episode airs that spoilers should stop being tagged for really any show lol but I know the last episode aired like not even a full month ago so I guess... I guess anything with season 3 stuff I'll tag as infinity train spoilers and anything else just with infinity train in general? Idk.

Thinking back to missing hazel I do also miss lake and jesse lol maybe if I hadn't watched the last 2 seasons one right after the other tonight (well I took a break for like an hour to shower but still) maybe... Idk what I'm trying to say, but like... This show is good, wow. I'm sad I didn't catch up with it sooner.... But yknow I still watched and still loved it! Next I'm probably gonna either keep watching glitch techs (I've only seen the first episode) or actually go and watch atla, I've been meaning to for so long and now one of my friends at school (I think we're friends? I hope? We've had at least 1 class together so far every semester since last fall so I hope we're friends) has been telling me I should watch that next before anything else, and oops sorry to her I watched infinity train first but I figured that was easier/faster to finish than watching atla, cause that's longer (I'm pretty sure) and then of course I'd want to watch korra after that.... But hey at least they're both on Netflix so I can actually watch them legally, yay

Anyway, it's 3:23 am, I'm tired and need to go to sleep, but I really freaking loved infinity train and I'm really hoping that it'll get picked up for more seasons :(

Is it 1am? Yes.

Am I about to binge watch all of season/book 3 of Infinity Train? Also yes.
