Poems - Werewolf AU
I was always taught to fear the dark.
There are ghosts and monsters there.
They linger in the shadows,
And prey on maidens fair.
But the beast that lingers in the woods,
Is kinder than the monster here.
Itâs the dark that hides in selfish hearts,
That I have learned to fear.
No honeyed words or lavish gift
Can hide that window to the soul.
The inky black of greedy rats
That rots and takes its toll.
No, itâs the monster in the dark
That I have come to know.
Harsh and sharp and very lost
With lots of room to grow.
Gleaming fangs and twisted claws
Beholden to the moon
A gentle touch, honest eyes
My heart, my love, is hewn.
I was always taught to fear the dark.
Here ghosts and monsters roam.
I flirt with fae, walk with wolves,
And I know that I am home.
Evie tapped her chin with the feather of her pen and then circled the word âflirt.â She put a question mark beside it. Flirt wasnât the best way to describe her relationship with Ori and Ywa, it was the only one syllable word she could think of that started with the letter F to go with the word âfae.â
Another tap on her chin and she circled the word âfae.â She wasnât sure Vampires counted as fae, maybe that term needed to change too. Not that accuracy mattered in poetry so long as it elicited the proper emotions and as she was the only member of the audience, it was only her opinion that mattered.
Evie reread it a few more times and dipped the tip of her pen in the ink well to add more notes when a little clink popped the bubble of thought. The candle on the table beside her had melted down to the nail she had set in its side as a timer. It was easy to lose track of time whenever she set aside time for herself to write and it was getting late.
She marked the page with a silk ribbon and closed the journal. The others in the house that could read were polite enough to not peek and if they did, they didnât say, so she left the book on the table. Not that it would matter in the slightest. Her thoughts and feelings were printed on her sleeve and readily offered when asked. There was nothing surprising scribbled on the paper.
The candle flickered when she picked it up and she held her hand to block the light as she carried it to the bedroom. Her family was already sleeping there in a pile of fur that couldnât hope to all fit on the bed. Khasar may have started there but only his legs and tail remained. His upper body flopped across the floor rug, and he snored through open jaws, tongue flopped across his face after a lazy lick. Kai had happily taken his place on the bed and laid claim to all the available pillows. He hugged them to his chest with his nose buried in the crook of his elbow, curled in a loose ball that was reminiscent of his human days.
She didnât see Ori. The vampire must have taken some time to himself, hunting or stretching his wings. Ywa too was absent, undoubtedly bored and looking for sport.
Evie carefully stepped over Khasarâs outstretched arm and very nearly stepped on their dog. The big, black Grim had stretched himself comfortably against Khasarâs chest and belly like a tablespoon hiding in the shadow of a serving spoon. His eyes glittered in the candlelight, and he wagged his tail when he saw her.
âDid Ori go out?â she whispered as she crouched to pet the soft fur on his neck and shoulder. The Grim wagged his tail more intensely and slowly rolled to his belly so he could better lift his head for chin scritches.
âI thought so.â Evie obliged until the Grim ignored her to resume his quiet vigil and she let him be.
She set the candle on the bedside table and gently blew out the flame before climbing into bed with Kai. He tensed at first and growled until she put a hand on his arm. The growling turned into little grumbles as he rolled to make space for her against his chest. It took him less than a minute to get impatient with her settling and then he curled protectively around her with a paw on her back and his head over hers, already back to sleep.
She peeped a little âoofâ and buried her face in the fur of his neck and chest, taking a deep and happy breath. Kaiâs heartbeat was strong and slow, safe; the drum of a lullaby, too powerful to ignore. And so she slept, at peace in the arms of her monster.

I know this has already been said and Iâm super late, but Mia as the protag of RE8 would have been so good. The contrast between Mia, the Lords, and Mother Miranda would have been absolutely interesting. I'm shoving everything under a read more because damn I have so many thoughts about Mia.
Lady Dimitrescu is a woman that cannibalizes and drinks the blood of her servants and intruders. On top of that, she tortures before preying on them. She does this willingly and very much derives pleasure from doing so. Lady Dâs gothic triplets hunt any poor fool that wanders in. Itâs a fun family activity for them just as much as itâs for sustenance.Â
Do you know what this parallels? The Baker family under Evelineâs control. They patrol the estate and anyone who rejects the âgiftâ either ends up molded or on the dinner table. This family also partakes in a fucked up version of a family dinner, eating the victims that refused their little girlâs âgift.âÂ
However, a major difference between the Baker and Dimitrescu family is their willingness to participate in these activities. A family of cannibals; one forced while the other relishes in it.Â
Mia is still very traumatized by her three years in the Bakerâs estate. Breaking into the castle to find her daughter would force her back. Hello to all the emotions that come with those memories, the ones Mia has been trying to forget. The harder you try to forget something, the more you think about it. What better way to make Mia acknowledge Dulvey, Louisiana than by forcing her into something so similar?Â
And while sheâs still reeling from remembering her time in captivity, why not push her a bit further down memory lane with House Beneviento? Mia has demonstrated at multiple points in RE7 that she does care about other lives. She lies to Ethan to keep him from getting caught up in her work. She tries to save Alan and crew members of "The Annabelle" (the crew members are a bit more indirect, she mainly focused on Alan) by containing Eveline. After Jack finds her, Mia keeps her distance to keep from infecting them while trying to write a warning. She tries her hardest during RE7 to save Ethan.Â
Miaâs hallucinations could center on her guilt. The failure to stop Eveline and the lives ruined as a result. How she was always too late to help anyone. Ethan curing her, a criminal, over Zoe, the person helping him. Leaving Zoe behind in the shattered remains of her home and family. Surviving. Visions of Ethan hinting at his âconditionâ could lure her to the manor. A little nudge to the whole âhe was mold the entire timeâ plot twist without fully giving it away.Â
Moreau, lacking in self worth and very attached to a woman who doesnât give him the time a day, yet still he considers her as his mother. Most of his actions are for the attention and validation from his âmother.â No matter what Moreau does, heâll never have her affection or time. Itâs sad, isnât it? To witness a man try so hard only to be rejected. And isnât that familiar? Mia once felt compassion for someone with similar traits.Â
Remember the little girl who considered you her mother? The one that spent three years waiting for you to love her after you promised? The one you had a hand in killing? What makes you think you could ever be a good mother after what you did? Why are you trying so hard to save Rose when you didnât even extend the same courtesy to Eveline?
Yâall know how Miaâs past is a mystery? Like why she was working for the Connections and how she was even recruited and all that. Heisenberg would be a great way to explore it. A man taken, forced into becoming something else, and stuck in a family he doesnât want. Mia can relate. He wants to use her daughter as a weapon. She was willing to let another child be used as a weapon. Theyâre alike, so surely Mia would be willing to side with him.
But Heisenberg is cocky and Mia isnât the person she was prior/during 7. Even if she was on board with using Eveline as a weapon to end all wars or whatever bullshit the Connections told her, sheâs not willing now. Not after what sheâs seen and been through. This section could be Heisenberg goading her through the tvs/intercoms about her past to change her mind with Mia remaining steadfast in her refusal.
And then thereâs Mother Miranda. Two mothers trying to get their daughters back through vastly different means. Because of the group photo showing Mia and Miranda with Eveline this encounter can go one of two ways.Â
Miranda and Mia know each other and have worked together before. Whether it be on the E-Series Project (with Mia becoming the caretaker and spending copious amounts of time at the lab) or though some other means at work.Â
Theyâve only briefly met when the Connections were in a hurry to transport Eveline.
Either way, Miranda would compare them. As a mother, Mia must understand what sheâs trying to accomplish. Would Mia not do the same as she? Maybe at this point Miranda shows she killed Ethan to demoralize to prevent her from interfering with the ceremony. Tells her sheâs too late once again and to give Rose to her because sheâll be the superior mother.
Idk, I guess you could switch to Ethan instead of Chris so he can still have Eveline tell him heâs moldy. But heâs a stubborn man and he forces himself back to weaken Miranda so Mia can kill her. Chris shows up and Ethan does the same thing he did at the end by blowing himself up with Chris forcing Mia (with Rose) on the helicopter. That way the Shadow of Rose DLC can still be about Rose and Ethan.Â
TLDR; Mia should have been the protagonist because it would have allowed us to explore her character and background more. It was a missed opportunity especially since so much of RE8 centers around mothers. It would have played out better as closing off the Winters Family saga as well since we could have tied the loose ends that came with Miaâs mysterious past.
#resident evil#resident evil village#mia winters#mother miranda#lady dimitrescu#karl heisenberg#donna beneviento#salvatore moreau#ethan winters#eveline re7#my text#mia and zoe are also still infected or moldy like ethan and it feels like it's very much being ignored#because there's a document in the salt mine that says if you've been infected for to long that the cure would kill you#and those 2 are very much still alive so they have to be infected like or in a similar way to ethan#it was for 3 yrs there is no way to undo that shit with a shot or two#not when all their cells would have been infected with mold by then#the line about mia feeling compassion about evie's situation is from the guidebook#and i think moreau would dredge up for those feelings that have long since been buried because of the baker incident#since he's doing similar-ish things to what evie did for a family/love#anyways morally grey characters really interest me so i really just want to know more about mia lol#i also really want to know what happened on the ship#because i don't believe the imprinting protocol alone would make evie that attached to mia as her mom#when she could have had marguerite as her mom like why is mia so special you'd wait 3 years for her to comply??#anyways that's for a whole different post lol

He deserves to suffer. But please keep in mind what being around him and actively trying to push him will do to YOU. Because you, in fact, deserve peace, healing, boundaries, joy, and acceptance MORE than he deserves to suffer.
Keep an eye on your heartrate; sometimes mine is the only way I can tell I'm pushing myself too far.
Stay safe. Making a homophobe upset doesn't matter as much as your safety.
You don't owe anyone your time or health for Christmas. You deserve a holiday that doesn't make you feel like shit.
Because even if he suffers, it sounds like he will not change. And perhaps we are different people (and I certainly don't claim to know you or your family and you can do whatever you want)... but that lack of change would make me feel like shit after the first 20 triumphant minutes or so. And then I'd wonder why I am not spending my time off with people who actually like me.
Your spite is justified. your anger and bitterness are justified. Your actions would be justified. And you should definitely still do it if it will be empowering for you.
Just know that you deserve a holiday that is easy and fun, and consider whether a violently queerphobic reaction from your parent is going to better or worsen your health. Because you deserve health.
Hey so my homophobic, sexist and overall cringe biological dad is coming over for christmas and i will be extra gay and give him a heart attack. He doesnt know im trans, that i changed my name etc. because frankly i dont care about him enough to tell him.
But when he comes over i will be so so so gay. Im talking wearing a dress, nail polish, makeup and all the good stuff. I wanna see him suffer. No, not spiteful at all
#original#one time my friend Evy did something for me that i am very grateful for#they offered to play the role of my former boss so i could act out the interaction i had in my head that played constantly in my head#in which I'd run into her and tell her exactly what kind of hell she put me through#and after i did it Evy goes 'hm. i am feeling very upset as Brenda and like shaken.#'but i don't feel like it has changed who i am at the core of my character.'#and it blew my MIND because it was cathartic to speak my thoughts#but so disappointing to reckon with the fact that my little revenge would have changed nothing.#but it helped me move on a bit from imagining making her suffer emotionally for what she'd done.#homophobia cw#abuse cw#the other times I've worked on revenge I sent screenshots of incriminating texts from my abuser to hundreds of his Facebook friends#i also tried to take him to court and failed. i don't necessarily REGRET doing these things.#but i don't think it's a coincidence that after doing them i ended up in an intensive outpatient program for 5 months#just be careful. please. and you can let me know if this has been an inappropriate addition.#this'll be my first xmas without my biological family and I'm wicked in my own feels about it#so i won't rule out the possibility that i am projecting#but even though I'm sad i have to put up boundaries to limit my family's access to me i regret it not at all#xmas with my wife and dog and NO new trauma or retraumatization is anticipated sounds nice actually#and it sits comfortably in my head rather than hanging over it#'I sat with anger long enough that she told me her real name was grief.'

Hummingbirds
~5.2k words
From me: Based on a song of the same name--you'll see the lyrics in a moment. You'll need to suspend your belief a bit. I'm not sure everything makes perfect sense, but. Some of this story takes place through emailing and I didn't have a good method for this. So bold will be Harry's emails. Pink writing will be hers.
Warnings: angst, fluff, anger honestly just fluffy. second chance love
Summary: Harry has been angry for a really really long time. Only one person ever made him confront his anger.
âEli, baby, we have to go!â
Harry could hear her from outside. He smirked, sipping his tea while he waited for Buddy to do his business. The air was crisp just like October should be. Decorative spider webs lined the front porch and the flower bushes in front of it. He was utterly pleased with his life. So completely happy.
âMommy! I canât find my dinosaur sneakers!â
âI donât know how to spell it,â Evie frowned. âIâm going to fail!â
âJust do your best and practice, my love. I believe in you,â she assured as she zipped her backpack up at the doorway and stuffed her feet into the slip-on sneakers by the door. They make me feel old, she told Harry. Theyâre the perfect shoes for a busy Mum, he assured her. And I think yâlook hot wearing them.
âEli, honey!â She called back. âTheyâre here by the front door!â
Harry couldnât stop smiling. âHow lucky am I, Buddy?â He asked shaking the leash slightly. The dog turned to him and then tugged him around the yard looking for the right spot; totally unaware or unaffected that Harry had the best life there was to live.
âI-M-P-E-R-U-T-I-V-E.â
âClose, baby girl,â she smiled encouragingly. âItâs an A, not U.â
She looked miserable as she stepped off the porch. Evie approached Harry while his wife bent to help Eli with his sneakers. âIâm going to fail, Daddy.â
He chuckled at the little nine-year-old. Crouched to her height twirling the leash tight around one hand. He straightened her little hair bow on the side of her head, pinning her hair back to one side. He kissed her forehead. âMummy said yâwere close. Yâdid a great job. Yâjusâ have târemember thereâs an A,â he reminded her and then pinched her cheek gently. âLike the grade youâre going tâget, right?â He winked at her.
Evieâs sweet eyes lit up with new hope. She turned to the pretty woman at the door holding Eliâs hand to usher him quickly out of the house now that his shoes were securely on his feet. âMommy! Did you hear what Daddy said to help me remember?â
She grinned so beautifully; it melted him. The center of his chest felt deliriously warm. It felt equivalent to being snuggled under a blanket with her, warm and close while it snowed outside their house. The kids drinking hot chocolate at the coffee table and a movie playing in the background.
It was unbelievable she was all his. âWhat did Daddy say, Evie?â Eli held onto her hand tight while he jumped from the second to last step of the porch while Evie explained the A she was going to get. âWell, I guess you inherited your smarts from Daddy, hmm?â Which was unequivocally a joke. She was a hundred times smarter than him. Or at least it felt that way. But he loved her so much for never making him feel less than. She was good at that. It was impossible to feel less than in her presence.
She was good at everything. Her job, being a wife, but perhaps his favorite thing, she was a tremendous mother. Something he knew she would be good at, but not to the extent he witnessed on a daily basis. Eli hurried to Harry and Buddy petting the dogâs head and giggling when he licked his face. Harry kissed the top of his head and gave his little body a squeeze. âWhat smarts?â Harry asked.
She rolled her eyes as she finally approached her family. âYouâre plenty smart, baby,â she shook her head with a gentle smile. The two kids that looked like the perfect combination of them went to her car and climbed into their respective seats. Harry wrapped his free arm around her back and pulled her to his side. He kissed her temple, nosing along her hairline.
âNot as smart as mâbeautiful wife,â he reminded her. She laughed.
âI love you.â She tilted her head up for a kiss which Harry never let her wait for.
âI love you,â he grinned into the kiss.
âEw!â Eli called.
âMommy, letâs go!â Evie was eager to get to school and ace her spelling test.
âBye Daddy!â Eli shouted. She gave his cheek a final peck and she headed across the yard to take their kids to school. âSee you at my soccer game!â
âHey kitten?â He called.
âYeah?â She asked over her shoulder.
âMâa lucky man tâhave you,â he reminded her.
She shook her head, laughed. âMe too, baby. Luckiest girl in the world to have you.â
The second her door closed behind her a swarm of hummingbirds fluttered so loudly into the yard. Seemingly out of nowhere. The noise of their wings was unbelievable. A dull roar. It was hundreds of the little birds, and she paid no mind to them as she started her car. Buddy didnât care about the intrusion either. Even the kids were indifferent. âAre yâseeing this?â He called out to her. He blinked curiously when she didnât respond. âWhatâs with all theââ
*
I had a dream last night / we were married in that house you always talked about / you were rushing to get the kids to school / packing their lunches, reviewing their spelling words / it was hummingbirds
Harryâs heart was beating like he had just finished a workout. His skin felt clammy. The sheets were wrapped too tightly around his legs. He groaned as his alarm vibrated to the same hum of the birds in his dream. The music playing alongside the vibration made him grumpy. âWhat the fuck?â He whispered and smacked the song off. He wished he could go right back. Did Evie pass her test? Did Eli score a goal?
Did she still love him the way he dreamed about?
*
Dr. Hendren listened to Harryâs dream but very much already knew the ending. It was the same as all his dreams with the house and the girl that he had been hearing for ten years.
âHarry,â the doctor said gently as he watched Harry on his screen. âDo you know what hummingbirds symbolize?â
âNo,â Harry was grumpy. He always was after a dream that was so real so lifelike. It wasnât fair. He just wanted her back. Wanted to see her. Wanted to know.
âHealing.â Dr. Hendren was quiet while Harry processed that. He worked his jaw, swallowing, and flexing it as he tried to get the words to come out. His body felt tense. Like he was trapped inside a box that was too small. That didnât seem right. He didnât feel like he was healed. He was still frustrated most of the time. Work was a minor distraction, and the loneliness was crippling at times. The only reprieve was dreaming of that pretty girl he knew so many years ago.
Why did it have to be her? She didnât deserve Harry and his bad attitude. She already suffered through it for two years at a time when life should have been fun, lovely, sweet. They were kids and Harry was an ass. He never even said he loved her back then.
âDonât you think,â Dr. Hendren continued quietly, and Harry knew what he was going to say. âYouâve been quiet long enough about what you want?â He shrugged. âHarry,â he tutted.
âI wasnât a good boyfriend.â
âYou were a kid.â
âShe deserved more.â
âThen tell her. Worst case scenario, she doesnât want to talk to you and youâll have some closure and you can stop dreaming about it.â
Harry remained silent, looking around his empty apartment. He took a deep breath and nodded. âAlright. Iâll reach out to her.â
âHarry,â Dr. Hendren said quietly. âHave you thought about the best-case scenario?â
He shook his head. Thatkind of hope could kill him. But he knew why the dreams were so powerful these days. Why they were so steady and quick.
Woke up bleeding from my mouth / I bit my tongue right through / well I broke the habit / I guess that Iâd had it not saying the things I need to
The following morning, he searched his inbox from an email he hadnât used in ten years and found the address he never thought heâd email again after he broke up with her way back when.
But Harry wasnât twenty anymore. He was trying to move on. Trying to fix things that should have been fixed a long time ago. He sat on the couch, typed out seven different versions of the message and clicked send before he could overthink it any longer. He slapped the computer shut and rubbed his hands on his pants. He took a sip of the tea he made hoping to calm himself and told himself that it was okay if she didnât answer.
Hey. Long time. Not sure if you use this email. I know itâs been a long while. Hope youâre well. ... Iâve been thinking of you. And truthfully, I had a pretty realistic dream that you were in the other night. Nothing weird. Just my old self and back then and... I donât know. ... How are you?
If she was working, she might just be getting settled. Or maybe out with a friend. Running errands. He refrained from imagining a little family that was waiting on her for dinner but reminded himself anyway that there were a million reasons sheâ
His phone lit up on the table beside the computer and his heart skipped a beat.
Harry Styles. As I live and breathe :) Iâm well! How are you?
That little smiley face made his heart ache with adoration for her. He could picture her pretty face smiling. But she answered.
Good. Yeah. I⊠Iâve been going to therapy regularly. Finally had to and... my doctor and I have discussed a lot of things. You were one of them. I just... wanted to chat with you. Iâm sorry, this is so out of the blue and weird.
No! Not at all, Harry. Iâm glad you reached out. Itâs really nice to hear from you. Therapy? Thatâs amazing! Do you like it?
Iâm a work in progress.
Arenât we all? :)
He smiled feeling relieved. Even just reading words on a screen made him feel at ease. He could practically hear her sweet, encouraging voice.
What are you up to? Do you live in state still?
Yes! I actually just moved down the road from the college. Iâm a guidance counselor at the local high school.
Thatâs lovely. Iâm not surprised you accomplished your goals. Your students are lucky to have you. Are you doing okay? It has to be draining.
A lot of the time yeah. But itâs rewarding as hell. You know I love kids, and I love being able to help.
Harry wondered if it was possible to love her more than he ever had before.
Thereâs a shadow on my shoulder / always whispers in my ear / that Iâm so angry all of the time / I should be alone another year / I didnât say it how you needed it / must have written it down a thousand times / all the things I would scream at the top of my lungs / if I wasnât so busy saying Iâm fine.
Harry had a habit of not saying what he was feeling. He bottled so much of it up and hid it from the rest of the world. Even people he loved. When he was dating her back in college, he kept a lot hidden and exploded when she asked him simple questions about himself. Trying to understand him and why he was angry all the time. Her willingness to look past it, try and help, and just continue to be kind to him made him angry too. It was constant, draining. It was like he couldnât help himself.
There was a tiny voice in his head that told him he was too angry for her. She deserved someone lovely and sweet. Someone who would talk to her and tell her things. Be the person she deserved. Because despite everything, Harry loved love. It was nearly impossible for him to show it back then. But he did. He wanted to love her the way she needed.
But he was so busy being angry and bottling his emotions he couldnât do it. He couldnât love her the right way.
It was so unfair to her and looking back on it made him feel like a proper ass.
So, he was grateful for the email communication. He couldnât imagine having this conversation with her about all this in person. They chatted for days. Catching up on things, reminiscing. Their email chain was up to 100 something messages. Some messages were long. Harry chatted about his family and she about hers. There were updates on work. On friends they still spoke to and no longer did. The conversation continued over the course of a little under a week.
But the most shocking details came from her.
I mentioned I moved... my ex-fiancĂ© broke off our engagement. Donât feel too bad for me, itâs actually a relief in hindsight. Something Iâve been trying to figure through. Itâs why I know that anything you feel you did wasnât nearly as bad as you thought it was. Thereâs far worse relationship enders than a little bit of anger.
Jesus, Iâm so sorry, kitten.
Well, isnât that a sweet name for sore eyes :) Donât be sorry. Itâs good. I have this cute apartment to myself and itâs for the best it happened now before there were too many variables to consider...like kids or a house or something, you know? Iâm definitely sad. But he wasnât the one for me at the end of the day.
Sorry for dumping all that on you. Itâs not really fair given our past. I think a lot of my friends disagree with my choice on this to let him go so itâs nice to just tell someone non-judgmental.
Harry felt angry the way he used to. The way that made him want to scream and he felt the desperate need to message Dr. Hendren because he felt out of his depth. All he said was sorry. How could she feel he was non-judgmental. He was judgmental. He was judging the fuck out of the piece of shit that broke her heart and made her sad.
But he was no better.
The man is an idiot to lose you. I know from experience.
:) I have to head to bed, thereâs a big pep rally tomorrow at school so I have to have my brain ready for chaos. Sleep well Harry.
Good night, kitten.
He reread those messages over and over and right before he was going to fall asleep, his phone lit up with one more message.
Youâre not an idiot by the way. He might be, but you, Harry Styles are not.
So of course, he dreamed of Evie, Eli, and the sweet girl at the other end of his emails that night.
And hummingbirds.
Thousands of hummingbirds.
*
Most of their messages were short.
Iâve been going to therapy for three years now.
Thatâs wonderful, Harry. Really. Do you like it?
Yeah...itâs hard.
:( Yeah... It really is. Do you like your therapist?
Yeah. Iâve had him the whole time.
Yeah? Thatâs good. Iâm... proud of you. I donât want to be weird about it, but I know you were angry. Really angry. It wasnât good. You didnât deserve that. Iâm glad you have someone to help you work through it.
...You were so nice to me. When you shouldnât have been. I didnât treat you right.
You were wonderful, Harry. We were practically kids. If our relationship had any faults, it was because we were too young. I donât regret a second of time being with you.
His heart skipped a beat. He felt that frustration from back when they were young, and she was so understanding but it didnât make him grumpy or feel inadequate. All he felt was a sense of belonging. Something he probably would have felt back then if he could have gotten out of his own way. She was willing to look past it then as she was now.
Youâre much too forgiving. He wrote. Because old habits die hard.
You werenât fine, Harry. You didnât know. We didnât know what we were dealing with at that age.
Harry hadnât a clue what he was dealing with. Did he even know now?
Can... can I give you something?
Give me something?
Yes. I... I can bring it to your apartment or to school or we can meet, I just... Iâve been trying to let it go but I think... I think my dream was reminding me that... thereâs more to you. More I need to do for you.
Sure, if you think it will give you closure.
God, Harry wanted anything but closure.
Just to clarify: I donât think you owe me anything.
I kept a lot hidden from you. I held back and it wasnât fair. All you wanted was to love me and I wouldnât let you.
Itâs a vulnerable thing, Harry. To be loved. You didnât do anything wrong. We were just young.
But... you knew I wasnât fine, and you tried and... I just wasnât fair to you.
You were fine, Harry. I promise. Bring me whatever it is that you need to give me to make you believe you did what you could with what you had.
*
Her apartment had a wreath on the door. It was beautiful with an array of burnt orange and red flowers and green vines. The perfect fall wreath. Beside the door were three pumpkins of different sizes. If he didnât have her address, he almost thought he would know it was her place. He looked at the mat in front of the door that said welcome, and he wondered if there was any other place where someone actually meant it.
Swallowing, he took a deep breath and knocked. After a minute, the door was out of the way.
At 18, Harry thought she was beautiful. The most beautiful girl he had ever met. During the time they dated, he thought she got more beautiful every second. Apparently, he was right because the woman before him somehow got exponentially more beautiful. Her smile was so inviting, so warm. Like he was seeing an old friend. âHey Harry,â her voice was sweet. Not an ounce of distrust, frustration, nothing. Their breakup was ten years ago. Not a degree of anger was left.
Harry wasnât angry either. Not anymore. But if she had broken up with him and he hadnât done all this work to better himself, he would have been. He didnât know how she could be so sweet after all she went through.
âHi,â he swallowed. âI donât want tâkeep you. Sâreally nice tâsee you,â his dream didnât do her justice. Sure, she was beautiful especially with their imaginary kids. Simply stunning. But this was more. This was the beautiful angel he loved so much even when she wasnât his to love.
âYouâre not keeping me; do you want to come in?â She shifted to open the door wider. âI can make some tea. Or we can order pizza?â
âNo,â he shook his head. âI jusâ want tâgive yâthis,â he handed her the shoe box.
She opened the lid. âWell, you know I wonât say no to shoes,â she smirked.
As much as he wanted to laugh at her joke, he felt like he made a mistake. The box was out of his hands. Not because of what was in there but because of the fear of rejection and being so vulnerable. Feelings of inadequacy were currently circulating through his bloodstream. âUm... sânotââ
âWhat is this?â She asked, tilting her head. He swallowed, pinched his lower lip between his fingers and took a deep breath.
âSâletters.â
âLetters?â
âI wrote tâyou.â
âMe?â
He took a deep breath. âMâsure yâknow mânot good at saying what mâfeeling.â
She replaced the lid, leaning against the frame. âI feel like Iâm a little lost here, Harry.â
He nodded, shoved his hands in his pockets so he wouldnât fidget or reach back out to take it from her. His mouth felt dry. He wished he had taken her offer for a glass of water now. Â âI know yâsaid yâthought we were fine. But mânot happy with how I treated you. Yâwere an angel. The perfect girlfriend and I treated yâunfairly a lot. I guess Iâve really held onto that and some of those letters are old but when I hit low points I thought âbout what yâsaid back then. How I wasnât on mâown. I was allowed tâbe angry. But I had tâlet people in. All that. I wrote tâyou a lot over the years. Mâtherapist said it was actually one of the smartest things Iâve done on mâown,â he chuckled. âI want you târead them. When yâhave time. I guess. I donât know,â he cleared his throat. âThis is really scary,â he admitted.
âOkay,â she nodded encouragingly and reached out to his forearm. She squeezed it reassuringly. It was only a touch on his arm, and he felt so good feeling it. He knew it was her training kicking in. Like a broken, beaten student at her office door. âI can do that,â she assured him. âDo you want me to text you about each one? Or just a summary of all of them? Or do you want me to not say anything?â
He looked at his feet. âFuck...â he whispered to himself. âI donât know.â
âOkay,â she took a deep breath. âThank you,â she smiled. âIâll start reading tonight and Iâll decide in the moment. You donât have to answer if you donât want.â
He nodded, looked at his feet. âIâm sorry.â
âSorry?â
âSâa lot.â
âI enjoy reading, Harry,â she grinned and moved her hand to his upper arm and soothingly rubbed up and down. âThank you for trusting me.â
Of course he did. There was no one else he really did. He nodded, feeling nauseous but still lighter. âIâm gonna go now,â he swallowed.
âIâll email you,â she assured him with a smile and headed inside.
*
Like it grows old real fast / how much you can love and not get it back / were we too attached? / Itâs a shame how often goodbyes last / I thought we were better than that / I thought I was stronger at last.
The knock on the door was hurried, eager. Insistent on being heard.
At first, he felt frozen in the kitchen cleaning up the dinner he made himself and placing the dirty dishes in the sink. Maybe he imagined the knock. Maybe he was just dreaming again. Plus, she said she would email right? This wasnât something to feel nervous about.
But the flutter of knocking continued. He hurried from his frozen position as the rapid taps hit the wood. He knew. His gut telling him exactly who was on the other side of that door. Taking a deep breath, he swallowed before pulling it out of the way.
âYou bought me the house?!â She shrieked.
Harry dipped his head to avoid her eyes. âYes.â
âHarry Styles, what the fuck?!â
He felt sick. âYou hate it?â
Her eyes were red, glossy. Not what he expected at all. But why wasnât it? This wasnât normal. After a breakup of her own where she was sure she was going to marry the guy. Harry appeared out of nowhere. Telling her that he had a dream about her, and he hadnât stopped thinking about her.
She covered her mouth and shook her head. âHarry,â she croaked.
âIâmâ"
âYou canât buy me a house! Weâre not even... Harry. This is insane! You have to see that!â
He shrugged. âI guess... but... I donât know, kitten. I think about you all the time. I see this house in my sleep. I see our life in mâdreams every night.â
She was wearing only socks. Like she didnât even have time to put on shoes. She held the paper in her hand wrinkled like she had read it hundreds of times already even though he had only given it to her the night before and he just knew which one was in her hands. She cleared her throat and read the date from ten years ago before she read the remainder of the letter.
To the resident(s) of 1278 Chestnut Street
My name is Harry Styles, and I am a college student in town. My girlfriend and I walk by your lovely home every day when we head to our favorite coffee shop after class. We love your home. Or I should say, my girlfriend LOVES your home. She claims itâs her dream home. The porch, the yard, the location... everything. She even loves your driveway. Every bit of your house is part of this fantastic dream she has of the life she wants in the future.
I donât know if Iâll be with her forever. I am... working on myself. Iâm not very good at all this relationship stuff. Especially when it comes to her. Quite frankly, I think she deserves way better than me. But on the off chance I am lucky enough to keep her in my life for as long as I would like, I want to make her dreams come true. She deserves that. She deserves every single one of her dreams to come true. She is the kind of girl that deserves every good thing that can possibly be provided for her.
If you ever find yourself selling, would you please consider emailing me first? Of course, if you have family that you plan on giving your home to, I understand. I canât even promise Iâll be able to afford it, but Iâll want to know. If only to pass on the message to her somewhere down the line. She deserves the chance to have all her dreams come true.
Iâm not sure where you are in life or if you have ever been in a relationship like this one. This girl is so special. Sheâs an angel. The kind of love that even a movie couldnât show, or a book couldnât write. Iâm lucky to have her right now and I donât know why sheâs with me. I donât know why Iâm even sending this crazy letter other than I know I have to try. Even if sheâs smart enough to leave me, I want her to know her dream home is available. Somewhere down the road. Even if weâre not on the same road anymore. Thatâs what she deserves.
Iâm sorry to bother you like this. I hope you can understand what love can do to a guy in college with a girlfriend who is LEAGUES above him. Thank you for taking time to read this and I hope you continue to enjoy your lovely home.
Sincerely,
Harry
Her voice shook as she read it. âYou sent that when we were in college.â He nodded, swallowed the lump in his throat and looked at the packet stapled together. âThey emailed you,â she whispered. He nodded again.
âDear Harry. We got your letter. When the time comes. Weâll be moving closer to our children. Theyâve never expressed interest in our house the way you have. My wife and I met in college and believe me, I know a little something about finding the girl of your dreams. Itâs nice youâre working on yourself. You deserve the life that fits this house too. We hope itâs with the girl that is leagues above you (although, we imagine sheâd think differently). Weâll be in touch. The Andersons.â
Harry watched her flip the page as she made eye contact with him briefly before returning her gaze to the paper in front of her.
âDear Harry. We hope life is treating you well. That youâre working on yourself, and your girlfriend is still around. If sheâs not, we hope youâre not being too hard on yourself. We wanted to let you know weâll soon be moving to a retirement community close to our son. We want to have you (and your girlfriend) over for dinner if youâre available. Let us know.â
Harry knew what was coming but he was still terrified. Why was she here? Barefoot. Reading the letters to him. What did she think.
âDear Harry. It was so nice to meet you in person. Here is the contract we discussed. See you soon.â
He rubbed the back of his head. âKitten,â he whispered.
âDear Harry. We hope you get her back. Enjoy your home. Never stop giving out your love. The Andersons.â
She was teary, swallowing hard. Her hands were shaking as she held the papers in front of her. âYou bought me a house.â
He nodded. There was a pause. âMâsorry I took so long.â
She dropped the papers and launched herself into his arms. He stumbled back at the impact. Her arms around his neck, her feet barely touching the floor as she tucked her face into his shoulder. âHarry,â she whimpered. Harry sighed, wrapped his arms tightly around her, one at her waist, the other hand cupping the back of her head.
âIâve loved you for so long,â his voice felt raw. Like he was the one that was crying and shaking. Not her.
She sniffled and nodded. âI know,â because she did. She read every single letter. Watched the date change but one thing never did and that was the love she felt in each letter.
âMâso tired, kitten,â he croaked.
âOf what, baby?â She cupped his face. The emotion on his face was tender and nothing like she remembered from ten years prior. Her thumb soothingly rubbed his cheek.
âLife without you,â he closed his eyes tight. âThis house is yours I want nothing more than for you tâhave it, but I want it tâbe ours.â
She sniffled, ducked her head briefly as she glanced around. âYou decorated it for Halloween,â she whispered.
âYou would have done better.â
She snorted. âHarry...â
âIf this is the house that makes you happy then I want it jusâ as much, kitten. But youâre my home. You always have been.â
âI donât know what to say Harry,â she whimpered.
âSay yes.â
âHarry...â she whispered.
âPlease, Iâm so tired of loving and loving and never feeling that way. I know sâhow I made yâfeel in college and yâjusâ dealt with it. Yâjusâ wanted love and I didnât give yâwhat yâneeded. But mâready now. Mâso ready tâdo whatever yâneed tâlove you the way yâdeserve. The way yâalways deserved.â
Not for the first time in his life, Harry prayed that if this was a dream, he would never wake up.
He never thought he would hold her again. Never thought she would be in the house she always wanted. Or that she would know he was sorry for how he was back when he was an angry kid.
Perhaps most importantly, he never thought he would feel her lips on his ever again.

(Y/N) knuckled at her eye, attempting to get the sleep out so she could see Harry clearly. It would be the last time she'd see him for the next week, she wanted to remember every detail.Â
"Stop," Harry murmured, gently grasping her wrist and pulling her hand from her eye. "You're gonna hurt yourself doing that, love."Â
"Sorry," she yawned, blinking up at him. It was way too early to be awake, but she wasn't going to let him leave without a proper send off.Â
"'S alright," he sighed, shifting his hold on her wrist until she was gathered against his chest. He dropped a kiss to her head, voice muffled against her hair when he said, "Jus' don't forget while 'm gone, 'kay?"Â
"I'll try," she relented, keening into the warmth radiating from his chest, "What time do you land?"Â
"It'll be a little after nine, I think. Y'think you'll be awake then?"Â
"Maybe," she sighed, "I've got to feed Evie, so probably."Â
He hugged her a bit tighter at the mention of his first born. "Will y'send me a picture when y'do? I miss her already."Â
"I will," (Y/N) promised, pulling away from where her cheek had nestled against his shoulder. Blinking up at him, she told herself not to cry when he matched her gaze. It wasn't fair that he looked so cozy and warm, pliant with his own sleep, and was planning on leaving her all by herself for the next week. "Will you send me a picture of you when you land? Because I miss you already."Â
It was a silly request, one that was supposed to be lightheartedâfor the both of themâbut only served to make her bottom lip quiver by the time the words hung between them. A pout crossed Harry's features. Dropping his bag, his now free hand landed on the back of her head, cradling her snug against him.Â
"Baby," he crooned, "I miss y'too, you know that. We've never been apart like this before, have we?" Only a pathetic shake of her head was offered. "But we'll be alright. Jus' call me when y'need me, and I'll answer. You might even like having the place to yourself for a littleâwon't even want me to come home."Â
Her eyes watered at his teasing allegation. "I'll always want you to be home with me."Â
A soft sigh escaped from his chest. "Oh, love. I'll be home soon, I promise. 'S only a week."Â
"I know," she blubbered, "Just wish I could go with you."Â
"But you're being responsible and going to class and studying instead. Not something to be sad about at all." He pet his hand down the back of her head, gentle fingers brushing the back of her neck and warming her skin. "Besides, y'don't want to be at these conferences. They're boring."Â
"Then why are you going?" If they were so boring, maybe she could convince him to stay in bed with her for the whole week instead of working.
"Gotta be on top of everything, love," he said, just as he had every other time she asked why this conference was so important, "Can't be the best tattooer in the world if I never go and see what's new."Â
She deflated. He was using her words against her, the praises she would mean whether or not he went to these conferences and conventions.Â
"'S gonna be alright, darling. Really," he insisted, his tone growing serious as he cupped the nape of her neck and pulled her back just enough to get a look at her. "I'll miss you, but I'll be home before y'know it. Then we can spend the whole weekend together before I go back to work."Â
That did sound nice. Especially since she was more than sure she would be able to convince him to order in and eat in bed with her.Â
"Okay," she relented, voice a bit watery, "Love you, H."Â
His features grew soft. Without the aid of his signature eyeliner, there were only soft edges to his eyes, matching the soft curl of his lips. With his hair pulled back, she could see every plane of his face where she was used to seeing a stern edge or cutting line. But not when it came to her; everything was soft when he looked at his love.
"I love you too, (Y/N)," he murmured, ducking his head to press a simple kiss to her lips. "I'll text y'when I get to the airport, but please go back to sleep if you're still tired."Â
(Y/N) chased after her, catching him in another kiss, this one a bit harder and more urgent. Their last kiss to be shared for the next week, and she was going to make it worth it. Even if she did start feeling her eyes begin to burn and her nose warm.Â
His hand on the back of her neck shifted until he was cradling her cheek in his palm. He let her take what she needed, slotting his lips to hers with her bottom one between his two. It was sweet and giving, the way she sank into him, eager to get as much of her fill as she could manage in the short time frame.Â
With his head much clearer, Harry drew away first, offering a smattering of pecking kisses before leaving the warmth of her presence.Â
"Gonna make me miss my flight if you're not careful," he teased, offering one more press of his lips to the bridge of her nose.Â
(Y/N) canted her head. That wasn't such a bad idea, actually. If he missed his flight, it would be way too much work to reschedule and possibly update his accommodationsâ
"No, I know what you're thinking, love," Harry smiled, shaking his head as he interrupted her line of thought, "I've still got to go."Â
She made a show of deflating, taking the route of attempting to make him laugh instead of giving into the lump forming in her throat.Â
"Fine," she sighed, as if he had punctured all of the air from her, "This time, I'll let you go. But you might not be so lucky the next time."Â
"So generous, my lovebug is," Harry murmured, hugging her extra tight as he fit his face into her neck. "I love you so much, baby. I'll let y'know when I land."Â
"Okay," she whispered, not trusting her voice to go any louder, "I love you, too."Â
He pulsed his arms around her for a lingering moment before doing the hard part of untangling from her limbs. She felt decidedly colder once he left the space of her bubble. (Y/N) could only wrap her arms around her middle to keep herself from reaching for him.
She watched as he slung his bag over his shoulder. The roses on his neck bristled as he stood to the full of his height, hand resting on the doorknob.Â
"I'll see you soon, baby," he promised, a sad smile on his lips, "Promise."Â
"See you soon, H."Â
(Y/N) followed him to the garage, watching as he backed his car out and onto the street. She waved at him on the off chance he might be looking at her, until he most definitely was too far away to catch even a speck of her. Getting out of the chill, she made her way back inside and to their shared bedroom.
 It was then, with her head on his pillow, the sheets scented of him with Harry's kitten at her feet, that she let her tears fall.Â
While it wasn't the waterfall she feared she was going to shed when he was still here, it was enough to heat her skin and slick down her cheeks in rivers. She missed him already, not used to being in this bed without her Harry at her side.Â
Having heard her sniffling and the incessant wiping of her sleeve over her cheeks, Evie left her post at (Y/N)'s feet and found the perfect spot to curl up right on the pillow. With her pink nose, she sniffed over (Y/N)'s tear-stained cheeks, whiskers tickling her skin.Â
"Hi, Evie," (Y/N) blubbered, "Do you miss your daddy already too?"Â
Evie didn't do anything other than deposit a soft lick to the tip of (Y/N)'s nose. A small smile curled (Y/N)'s salted lips.Â
"At least we have each other."Â
Evie chirped at that.
âââââ
"And, what did she say after that?"Â
Patting her moisturizer into her skin, (Y/N) let out a heavy sigh as she dropped her eyes to her phone screen. Illuminated in the pixels was Harry's tired face, free of any eyeliner with his hair pulled back and a headband keeping the stray strands from brushing his eyes. A white fluffy pillow was held to his chest, taking up the bottom third of the view, his chin resting on the edge as he looked at the camera. At her.Â
"Nothing. She didn't say anything the rest of the shift. It was creepy."Â
Harry barked out a laugh at her words. "Not even to you?"Â
"No," (Y/N) affirmed, "Even when I said bye before I left, she just nodded at me."Â
At this, Harry's lips thinned. "That's not very nice. 'M sorry she acted like that today, love. She didn't hurt your feelings or anything, right?"Â
The shake of her head had his features loosening in relief. "No, I'm okay. I just don't really want to go in tomorrow if she's also going to be there; I'll have to hide in the autobiographies if she is."Â
"That might be fun, though," Harry started, interrupting himself with a yawn, "Easy work."
"Too easy," she pointed out, wiping the remainder of the lotion on her hands, "I'll fall asleep."Â
"That doesn't sound so bad," he murmured, his own eyes falling closed in a lingering blink.Â
Picking up her phone, (Y/N)'s lips puffed into a pout. She had been looking forward to this evening's FaceTime, the same way she had been the last three days, but it didn't feel right to keep him on the phone when he was so clearly tired.Â
"Do you want me to let you go, H? I don't want to keep you up."Â
He was quick to blink his eyes open, forcing them wide and awake as he stitched his attention on her. "No, no, 's alright. I want to talk to you, baby."Â
Her own lips curled into a soft grin as she started back to their bedroom. Evie was already in her new favorite spotâright where her daddy usually slept. "I want to talk to you too, but I know you had a busy day. We can talk tomorrow."Â
"But I miss you today."Â
When she laid her head down on her pillow, phone in hand, the view on her screen framed an illusion that they were sharing a bed. Only a pillow between them.Â
"I miss you, too," she murmured ardently, "But I feel bad."Â
"Don't feel bad," he insisted, denying as if there weren't bags under his eyes, "It really wasn't that busy of a dayâjus' lots of talking."Â
"One of your least favorite things," she pointed out as his eyes fell closed once more.
"Not when 's you."Â
At that, (Y/N) paused. Her heart pattered in her chest, blood rushing through her veins with heart-shaped cells. He was too good at arguing with her like this.Â
When she didn't immediately answer, she saw his eyes open. Half-lidded, they landed directly on her. He could easily tell just what kind of reaction he was drawing out of her, her face an open book just for him to read.Â
"Did I win?"
A sheepish nod was his answer.Â
Hunkering down into the fluff of his hotel bed, Harry let a lazy smile cover his features. If she squinted her eyes just so, the illusion worked well enough to imagine she was lying in bed next to himâa small version of him, but Harry nonetheless.Â
"I'll stay with y'until y'fall asleep, love," he murmured, just voice a comforting rumble through her phone. Next time, she decided, she was going to have her headphones on, wishing to hear every note of his voice.Â
"Thank you," she peeped, grateful even if a little guilty that he was going to stay awake when he was clearly so tired.Â
Through his cracked eyes, she could see affection swimming through the shattered green of his iris. "Tomorrow's going to be better, love. I know it," he insisted, broken up by a short yawn, "And if 's not, 'm catching a flight home."Â
A huff of laughter fell across the cover of her pillow. "Now you're going to make me hope I have a bad day."Â
Harry's grin only widened. Dimples deeply dented his cheeks. "Don't say that," he pushed, though he didn't sound particularly convincing.Â
Looking at him, even made of speakers and pixels, she doubted she would have an easy time falling asleep tonight. Not when she had him right here with her, as close as he could be.Â
âââââ
Posing in the mirror, (Y/N) tugged the end of her skirt to flare it around her thighs. She snapped a photo of herself in the mirror, her phone partially covering her face in the reflection.Â
Once the photo generated on her phone screen, (Y/N) relaxed from her pose and took a look at the shot. With a chunky, slouchy cream sweater covering her topâa borrowed piece, of course, from the opposite side of the closetâshe had taken a leap and chosen to wear a skirt despite the chilly autumn weather outside. The night before, when she had picked out this outfit, she had been unsure, knowing she would undoubtedly be freezing on campus with only a skirt covering to the mid of her thighs. It had been Harry's idea to put on a pair of hose or stockings at the least to help cover her a little.Â
(Leggings had been his first suggestion, and she had shot that down immediately).
Sending him a photo now, with a pair of barely used stockings pulled as high up her thighs as she could manage, was her test to see if she looked as silly as she felt. The skirt thankfully was covering the scalloped lace lining the top of the stockings, but she felt a bit scandalous with the pieces on her legs.Â
Attaching the photo to a message, she typed out:Â
     do you think this looks silly? i don't know if i still have the hose from my halloween costume but i'll look for it if you think that will work better!!
Pressing sending, she turned her attention to her hair instead of watching for Harry's response. All she had time for was to reach for a sparkly white headband before her phone buzzed against the countertop. From the preview, she saw that he had loved the image she sent before sending back a couple of texts in rapid succession.Â
     Baby, you look gorgeous!Â
     Is that my sweater? You should keep it.
     Don't change, I think you look perfect!
     But why can't I see your face? :( I miss you.Â
A soft smile covered her features as she scrolled over the handful of messages. Taking a moment, she slid her headband over her head, pushing stray hairs out of her face. It felt a little silly, but she took another photo of herself, this one only of her smiling face before pressing send once more.Â
Before she could even type out her gratitude for his previous messages, another handful were delivered.
     Baby! There you are!
     You look so pretty!
     Is that your new lipgloss?Â
     I love when you push your hair back like that. Will you do that for the next time I get to take you out?
(Y/N) felt like she needed to be lying on her stomach, kicking her feet in the air while she twirled her hair when she read these over. Even from miles and miles away, she was not immune to the way he spoke to her.Â
     thank you hđ©·đ©·đ©·đ©·đ©· you're so sweet i miss you too!!!!
     i'm just worried that they're going to fall over my legs and then people will see the lace:(Â
The delivered receipt never even popped up, Harry reading her messages as soon as they were sent.Â
     I think you'll be okay, love. Your skirt is long enough that if they fall little, I don't think anyone will see.Â
     If it would make you feel a little better, you can take one of my coats and use it to cover up if you feel like you need it.Â
Truthfully, she was going to take one of his jackets with her today anyway, whether or not he gave her permission.Â
     oooh that would be perfect!!!!! thank youuuuuuuu
     Of course. Stay warm today, darling. I'll call you when I get back to the hotel tonight.Â
Glancing at the time, she was sure Harry would have just exited the tube and started making his way to the convention with the rest of the boys from the shop. She would have to keep it together and not text him every thought she had during the day.Â
     talk to you later!!!! have fun love u
     Love you too, angel.
She couldn't wait to see him say those words to her in person. Only three more days.Â
âââââ
From where it was tucked away under her thigh, (Y/N)'s phone buzzed. Today's lecture was an easy one to be distracted from, even if it probably wasn't the best idea to pay attention to her phone instead of the slides at the front of the room.Â
Nonetheless, she reached for her phone under her skirt and glanced at the screen.Â
Harry had sent a photo.Â
A pinch appeared between her brows as she unlocked the screen, swiping on the notification.Â
Their text thread was now made up of a photo of Harry in the bathroom at the conference center. It was a shot of his reflection in the mirror, where he was goofily posing to mimic the one she had sent over that morning. His tattooed hand was out at his side, pinching an invisible skirt to show off the flare.
     What do you think? Â
(Y/N) had to choke back a laugh at the sight.Â
     super cute h
     grab a jacket in case you get cold though
When he didn't immediately reply, (Y/N) tucked her phone away, smile now on her features as she pretended to pay attention to the lecturer before her.Â
She was going to have to send that picture to Sarah and Mitch.
âââââ
(Y/N) checked the time, her expression falling when she saw just how little time had passed since the last time she looked.Â
It had already been an hour since she said goodnight to Harry over the phone, but it was still too early to justify climbing into bed. Especially since she had taken a nap when she made it home from work.Â
Over the phone, Harry had seemed so sleepy, recounting his long day touring the conference before getting a chance to finally sit down and give her a call when he made it back to his hotel room. She could have kept talking to him for hours, in love with the sound of his voice rumbling through the phone, but he seemed so exhausted. She didn't want to keep him up just because she missed him.
That left her alone, traveling back and forth to her closet. Different outfits were bundled in her arms each trip, the goal to be finding something cute to wear for her presentation on Monday. Without Harry here to soothe her for another couple of daysâ"two more sleeps," they had said on the phoneâthis was her only chance at distracting herself from the slides she already memorized. If she felt pretty, she thought she might be able to get through the whole thing a little easier.Â
Playing music from the heart shaped speaker she stole from their bathroom, she bopped about the room, laying out different options on the bed. All of them were pretty cute, she thought, just... not right? She wasn't sure why, but none of them seemed to fit the vision she had for herself on Monday.Â
Would the pink skirt come across as childish? The sweater with bows laced down the sleeves as unprofessional? But the fitted, dark green sweater she'd pulled didn't really feel like herselfâat least not the version of herself that she would feel the most comfortable being when she was already going to be at her most uncomfortable in front of her whole class.Â
Though it sounded like a lot of work, she figured she would only know for sure if she tried on each prospect. Even if the idea sounded even less fun when she remembered Harry wasn't going to be there to give his candy-coated opinion and tell her every sweet nothing he could think of.Â
At the very least, it would fill her time and check off a task she knew she wasn't going to want to do when Harry returned home on Sunday.Â
âââââ
Falling back onto their bed, (Y/N) didn't feel any more accomplished even with the skirt flaring around her body. She still needed to change out of this particular outfitâthe one with the bow sweater layered over a silky blush dress and the same stockings that had treated her well earlier in the weekâbut she was too tired to do so at the moment. Instead, she pulled open her camera roll and looked at the trio of photos she took in her options.Â
Even if she knew she wasn't going to gain any kind of response until the morning, (Y/N) still attached all three to a new message to Harry. He could be the deciding vote (even if she really just wanted him to pick the outfit she currently had on).Â
Despite knowing he was asleepâthe time being now a full hour and a half since saying goodnightâshe still lagged for a moment, waiting for the receipt to change to read. Unsurprised, she locked her phone after a minute when her message stayed on delivered.Â
(Y/N) pushed her phone to the side as she forced herself up from where she laid on her bed, a heavy sigh leaving her chest. She needed to get into her pajamas, then wash her face, perform her skincare routine, get her hair in shape for bedtime, and then probably feed Evie again and have a snack herself, and, if he wasn't too tired, she could start the new book she dowâ
Her phone buzzed.Â
Pausing where she stood, feet bare other than the stockings wrapped around her legs. She knew it was probably Sarah, confirming their plans for the following way. But, (Y/N) still, just a little, hoped it might be Harry.Â
Without letting herself get too excited, she reached for her phone amongst the tufts of her comforter.Â
A single notification sat at the bottom of her lock screen.Â
     Harryđ€
She didn't even attempt to hold back the smile that bloomed over her features. He was supposed to be asleep.Â
Sliding the notification open, their text thread opened up. Her photos took up the majority of the screen though her eyes went right to his message.Â
     Are you still in the last outfit?
A little less... affectionate than she had been hoping for, but a response nonetheless.Â
     i am why !Â
     i thought you were asleepÂ
Another message near instantly came through.Â
     I'm having a harder time falling asleep than I thought.Â
     I really like that last one, love. Are you wearing those stockings?Â
She frowned at his explanation. She didn't like the idea of Harry tossing and turning all by himself in a hotel room. Maybe, she'd try to help him get to sleep.Â
     yessss but i did find those ones that i got for my halloween costume so i can wear those instead if you think that's better for the presentationÂ
     Can I see?Â
(Y/N)'s frown deepened.Â
     the other ones????Â
It wasn't a fun set to pull up her legs since the material was so fragile and thighs when they made it up to her thighs, but she would manage if wanted to seeâ
     No, the stockings.Â
     You're still wearing them right, love?Â
Her cheeks warmed. Maybe it was the way she was reading it in her headâwith the deep rumble of his voice, drawling and heavy with his eyes on herâbut she swore there was a little more to this than attempting to help her pick an outfit.Â
In lieu of typing out a response, she turned her camera on. She debated finding her way back to bed or standing before the mirror once more. Fitting her bottom lip between her teeth, she figured the mirror was the safer choice. At least this way she could offer a full view.Â
Bunching the skirt of the dress in her hand, she snapped a photo of the stockings tight around her legs, the white lace showing. There was no pattern in the netting, only the sheer white mesh, the material offering a satin finish over her skin. Nothing special, really.Â
The photo sent, never reaching delivered status before being read by Harry. Though no immediate response was sent back.
(Y/N) waited as moments passed before a bubble filled with three little dots popped up in the corner of the screen.Â
     You look so pretty, love. I wish I was there with you.Â
     Do you have anything else pretty on under your outfit?
She blinked at the message. Okay, so she hadn't been reading him wrong, even if she was a little surprised at how quickly he was leading her down this path.Â
Her fingers hovered over the offered keyboard. Truthfully, she wasn't wearing a pretty matching set the way she was sure Harry was picturing. Underneath the layers of her sweater and dress, was a comfortable, unlined pink bra and a set of cotton panties in baby blue.Â
Just as she went to type an answer, she blanched, eyes widening as an alternative idea popped through her head.Â
Did he want a... picture of her?
The idea had her stomach churning.Â
Though it wasn't anything Harry hadn't seen before, photos seemed so much more scandalous. She didn't doubt that it had much to do with conversations she overhead her parents having, the kind when a celebrity or a girl in their community had private photos leaked and spread around. It was always the woman in the photo's faultâif she hadn't wanted those out there, she shouldn't have taken them. She shouldn't have been acting like a whore.Â
She must have taken longer than she realized when another message came through.
     Baby?Â
Fitting her bottom lip between her teeth, (Y/N) typed out a noncommittal answer.Â
    maybeeeeeeee
    why?
Harry would be disappointed to see her chewing on the pillow of her lip, but she couldn't help herself. Was it stupid to be nervous? Especially when the question itself hadn't even been askedâand even if it had, Harry was the love of her life. She lived with him, and was stressing over the idea of sending him a photo of her body? It didn't make much sense.Â
     I miss you baby. Do you think I could see you?Â
If there was any room for speculation over how much he missed her and in what way, it was all put to rest when another photo came through.Â
It was a view of the small of Harry's stomach, angled as if he were posing the camera from the height of his chest. His hand, tattooed and familiar, grasping at a bulge through the worn black material of his sweats.Â
(Y/N) blinked, breath stuck in her chest.Â
No wonder he couldn't fall asleep.Â
Was she supposed to send her own photo now? To be fair, it was quite the sightâone she had missed since he leftâto see the expanse of his hand over his crotch, but she wasn't sure she was far enough gone to completely disregard the feeling in her stomach.Â
But she couldn't leave him hanging. She knew she would be sick to her stomach if she sent something to Harry and he didn't immediately respond in kind.Â
She didn't think before she reacted to the photo with a heart, typing out:Â
     i miss you too!!!!! is this why you couldn't sleepÂ
It took all of one second, realizing what she had sent his way, to make her cringe. She was sure this wasn't the kind of reaction he had been hoping for when he sent an explicit image.Â
She hoped, if anything, he thought it was endearing.Â
     A little bit. I haven't been able to stop thinking about you since our phone call. I don't know if I can wait two more sleeps to see you again.Â
Her heart raced behind her ribs. While it wasn't something she really indulged in, there was more than once this week that she had briefly wondered if she had the willpower to wait for him to return home before spreading her legs. But, as it usually did, the idea paled in comparison to what he was able to offer her. If she had to wait a couple of days, then so be it, she had decided.Â
That decision didn't feel so concrete now, not with the view on her phone.Â
It's not like Harry would spread her photos around. She knew that. And this would be far from the most scandalous thing she'd ever partaken in with Harry's guidance.Â
And, gosh, did she miss him.
Between her legs, a heat gathered. What she wouldn't give to be on her knees before him, her hand replacing his. To hear the rumbling of his moans, hearing him call her his pretty, good girl. So gorgeous he can barely handle himself. That he could spend hoursâdays, evenâin bed with her. All he wanted was to take care of her, starting with the ache between her legs.Â
She clutched her phone tightly.Â
It wouldn't be so bad, she thought. It was just a photo. If it really bothered her, Harry would delete every photo and every mention of the photos. Besides, she was an adult.Â
She had moved into a home with her long-term boyfriendâwho she had a sneaking suspicion was going to propose in the near futureâ, took care of her own needs, and would soon be facing her college graduation. She could send photos of herself if she wanted to.Â
(Even if she still felt a little sick to her stomach. Aside from being unsure of sending them, she didn't even know how to take them).Â
     Are you still there, baby? I didn't mean to scare you off.Â
A small smile touched the corners of her mouth. She could hear those words in his voice. He was always so worried about being too much, asking for too much, when it came to her. Because he was Harry, and he loved her.Â
He loved her so much, and she didn't doubt that she could trust him even more.
     yeah hold on im taking a picture !!
That was all she said before pulling up her camera.Â
Making quick work of her clothing, the sweater and dress became nothing more than a puddle on the floor. She hesitated at the hem of the stockings. It felt a bit silly to keep them on, given the fact that her underwear was far from pretty and put together. But, Harry did seem to like them.Â
Before she could think any more about it, she took her phone and stepped in front of the mirror.Â
There was a feeling in her chest, similar to that of when he took her to the beach for the first time in Barcelona, seeing herself in so little clothing. Very different to when she would disrobe in front of him, knowing that he was only going to gaze upon her in awe. She wouldn't be able to gauge his reaction from the other end of a phone.Â
If not for the fact that she had already said she was taking a photo of herself, (Y/N) may have backed down. Instead, she committed to posing before the mirror.Â
She stood with her thighs together, the gusset of her panties tucked between her legs. The stockings stood out against her skin, shimmering in the low light of the lit lamps of their bedroom. Her breasts were cradled in the light pink material of her bra, unlined with the peak of her nipples pushing through. The thin line of wire under her bust held up the swells.Â
Angling her camera to conceal her face once more, (Y/N) held her breath as she pressed the circle at the bottom of her screen. She didn't allow herself more than a glance at the photo before pressing send. It didn't look too bad when she peeked, but she wasn't in the mood to judge her body any more than she already was beginning to judge herself for taking the photo at all.Â
She couldn't wait to see what his reaction would be. Instead, she locked her phone and dove for the safety of her bed, wrapping the throw lined at the bottom of the mattress around her nearly-bare body.Â
(Y/N) knew she wasn't a bad person. Right? She had only sent a photo to her boyfriend. That was all. Was it the best photo? Maybe not, but it was of her. That should be enough for him, right?Â
Harry always told her just how perfect she was, how much he loved her body. Even after she had more than one bowl of soup before he took her to bed, he never complained over her bloated stomach or if she hadn't had time to shave herself before spreading her legs.Â
But, photos could be so unforgiving. She wouldn't blame him if he thought differently of her. Not to mention, she really gave in pretty quickly to this whole photo thing, didn't she?Â
What if he hadn't even wanted a photo of her, and she sent one anyway? She should have knowâ
     Fuck
     Angel are you jokingÂ
     This isn't fair. You cant look so pretty without meÂ
     Did you keep those stockings on for m e?
Something bloomed in the middle of her chest. It was a bit silly, but she knew Harry. He didn't text without punctuation and checking his spelling. Seeing the lack of periods and a disjointed word at the end, she liked to think that her photo was having a more profound effect on him than she could have hoped.Â
The lighting hadn't been as bad as she thought, then.Â
Confidence struck her, urging her to message him back before it had a chance to fizzle out.Â
     yes daddy
She wished she could be there to see his reaction to the message. She missed seeing that flash in his eyes, his pupils dilating as he gazed at her. In her head, he would have reached out and grabbed her hips, pulling her flushed to him. Hips together, where the thick bulge of his cock would press right against her core.Â
Was it crazy to catch a flight? She could probably make it there soon, and then they could go home together on Sunday.Â
That way she could at least see her daddy beâ
     You're such a good girl for your daddy angel
     Fucking perfect you're gonna make me cum just from your pictureÂ
     Can I show you?
The final message had her heart slowing. The heat that had fallen to the backburner during her overthinking had returned tenfold. The effect she had on him would never not amaze her.Â
She definitely wanted to see.Â
     please
(Y/N) waited, sitting in the message thread. Her imagination ran wild, filling in the gaps his absence left behind.Â
She wondered how long he would be home before she would drip to her knees. Would she let him put his things away, or would he feel the same need she did and take care of her as soon as he made it through the door? Would he press her against the door, his hair still pulled back from his flight, minty gum being ground between his molars? Or would he give her the courtesy of placing her on the kitchen counter, shorts pulled to her ankles?Â
Could she get him to play with her, chasing her into their bedroom before she tugged him down atop her? So she could lay just like she was now, on her back with her head cushioned by a pillow smelling of him. In her head, she would have something much prettier on, but if he wanted her pretty socks on, she could do that for him. She could spread her legs for him, let him fit himself between her thighs.Â
Her breathing was labored as she took the hand bundled between the sheets to the small of her stomach. Her phone was still hovering above her face, waiting for the response she needed from Harry, but now her attention was beginning to split in half.Â
Now, she noticed the goosebumps on her skin, rising in the wake of her own touch. The feeling brought her back to their first Valentine's Day. When he had sat behind her, their hands looped together between her legs, showing her exactly how to touch herself, to emulate the way he took care of her. Her fingertips had only touched the first thread of the elastic around her waist when a message came through.
Or a video did.Â
There was a part of her that was worried that she didn't even hesitate before pressing play. The other part of her was too worked up to care.Â
The video took over the full screen in an instant, the sound turned up just enough to hear soft noises. (Y/N) hurried to turn the volume up a few notches when she realized what she was looking at.Â
With his sweats pushed down to his thighs, showing off the ink needled into nearly every inch of his skin, Harry had his hand fisted around his cock. Only lamps were turned on in his hotel room, leaving the space in buttery, limited light. Shadows were elongated, everything just a touch darker than she was sure it was in real. Including the black nail polish that glimmered on his fingers as he stroked his hand over his cock.Â
The tip was red and ruddy, blurting with precum. He was much more worked up than she was expecting, the long night having taken a toll on him. Slick, soft pats of his hand hitting his base sounded through her phone, in conjunction with the heady pants behind the camera.Â
Her mouth ran dry when she heard her name being moaned. She had missed that voice so much.Â
All over a single photo she had sent.Â
A week apart was much too long, it appeared.Â
Abruptly, the video stopped. She didn't think before she tapped the screen again, urging the clip to start over.Â
Watching the video once more, (Y/N) allowed her other hand to drift lower. Breaching the waist of her underwear, she pictured his hand as her eyes fluttered to a close. It was jarring, the first touch to her clit. The last time she had done this for herself, had been under Harry's supervision that day. Never had she been alone before.Â
Though, she figured she wasn't really alone, not when she heard the grumbling tone of his moans filtering through the room. The call of her name as he jerked his fist over his length.Â
With her mind becoming a bit more muddy with every breath, she attempted to remember just how Harry worked her up and helped her through the shaky breaths entering her lungs.Â
He always started at her clit, working the bud in tight circles, borrowing wetness from her slit to keep her movements slick. Her back arched as she slid her finger lower, parting her folds to where her pulsing opening beckoned to someone miles away.Â
Her lungs shuddered, breathing uneven as she attempted to focus. Pulling her eyes open (she hadn't even known they closed, really) she directed the small portion of her attention she had to spare towards her phone. The video had ended, the screen moments away from locking before she tapped her thumb.Â
Swiping to their messages, she didn't think.Â
     harry oh my godÂ
     i miss you so much daddy I wish you were here this doesn't feel the same without youÂ
     i need youÂ
A trio of dots came up on the corner of her screen.
     Can I see you, baby? I miss you too so much.Â
     When I get home I m going to take such good care f you I promiseÂ
     Be good and show daddy what he's doing to you love I need itÂ
How he knew so clearly what to say to her, what would clear through the much and spear into her chest, she was never going to be sure, but she would always be grateful.
His request for another photo was a steady distraction. It allowed her to keep some of her head on straight instead of losing every bit of her to the pleasure she was eliciting between her legs. Taking a hurried moment, she shimmied her panties down her stockinged legs until the garment was hanging off of an ankle. Spreading her legs wide, her phone angled just so, the camera caught a view of the softness of her stomach to the middle of her thighs. Just the top scalloping of the lace was caught from the stockings.
Her hand, tucked just so, worked between her legs. She wasn't sure if the slick sounds permeating the room was going to be picked up, but she hoped so. She hoped Harry would be able to hear what such a simple video had done to her. That she had viewed it twice, her underwear now sporting a damp spot with that same wetness being pulled up to coat her clit. That she really did listen when he attempted to show her how to take care of herself, circling her fingers around the bud with her pulsing opening waiting for him the second he made it back home to her.Â
Oh god, when he got home.Â
She didn't doubt that he was going to take perfect care of her. Throwing her head back, (Y/N) lost sight of the screen of her phone, but a different view took over her head.Â
This one had Harry sitting before her, letting her nestle between his thighs as he stroked his cock in front of her face. She could see the pearls of precum beading down his length to be swept away in his stroking fist. Glistening and throbbing. She would open her mouth and let him do anything he wantedâ
"Daddy," she breathed, blinking back to the world when she realized she still had a video she was to be directing.Â
Keeping her hand between her legs, she shut off the camera. She only made a couple of presses before the video was off to Harry, though she kept working her fingers over her clit, dipping low in teasing touches before returning to the bud. As much as she would have liked to feel something sinking deep inside her, the idea didn't sound as appealing when she knew her own fingers weren't going to cut it. She would save that bit for Harry; toying with her clit was doing a well enough job, and she didn't have the attention to take care of two different paces, if she was honest.Â
A handful of responses were delivered to her at a rapid-fire pace.Â
     can I save that video baby
     you look so pretty with your hand between your legsÂ
     Doing what daddy taught you rigtÂ
     Im so fuckign proud of you I miss you so much angelÂ
     can I see you cum pleaseÂ
     for meÂ
Fitting her bottom lip between her teeth, (Y/N) barely was able to keep her hand from shaking as she typed.
     I want to see you:(Â
It was at the same moment that her phone buzzed. A FaceTime call. From Harry.
"Harry?" she greeted, breathless when she answered. She didn't need to glance at the tiny box of herself to know that her eyes were lidded and wild, mouth parted and swollen.Â
"Oh fuck, (Y/N)," he muttered, the view of his face obstructed from the messy state of his hair. His cheeks blazed with warmth, baby hair clinging to his temples. "You're close, love? Can y'cum with me?"Â
(Y/N) practically melted into the mattress at the sound of his voice. She missed this so muchâmissed him more than she even realized until then. Her clit pulsed under her finger.Â
"Uh-huh," she nodded, debating turning her camera around before blinking at her phone screen. "Do you... I can show you."Â
A string of curses left his raspberry mouth. "Let me see, baby. Let daddy see."Â
She didn't have to give another thought before she was punching the button, reversing the camera to show a view of her spread legs. Her hand was clearly working over her pussy, the slick sounds not matching the circling of her fingers.Â
"That feel good, angel?" Harry panted, his eyes almost falling closed before he suddenly remembered what was in front of him. A quiet whimper broke from her throat. "I know, baby. 'M sure it feels so good, huh?"Â
For the hundredth time in the last handful of minutes, she wished Harry was with her. She wished he was hovering above her, that she could see the look on her face and the need flashing through her eyes. That he would know what she needed just from looking at her, but she supposed she could handle that part for the night. Maybe.Â
"R-Really good, daddy," she let out, breathless, "I-I want to see youâI'mâ"Â
Before her eyes, she saw the screen flip. Where his flustered face had been was now a view of his cock. Much like his video, his fist was working relentlessly over his length, though he decidedly looked much more desperate. He was gleaming in the sheen of his precum, his thumb swiping through the near constant river dripping down. From the way he was breathing alone, she was sure he was close.Â
"Harryâoh my god," she murmured, barely finding her voice, "Wh-When you get home, will youâCan you let me do that for you, please? I want you so bad."Â
It was a bold request, so bluntly spoken in her book. Though it only seemed to spur Harry on. His cock jumped in his hand, another stream sliding down his cock.Â
"You're gonna make me cum, baby," he groaned, the camera going shaking like his breathing, "I wanna see you firstâcan y'do that for me? Are y'close?"Â
Shifting her hold on her phone, she moved her camera to show the pace of her fingers between her legs, working over her clit. She moved her legs wider apart, her movements growing messy and clumsy. Knowing that he was watching her was enough to have her arching her back.Â
"So close, so close," she muttered, her voice thick in her throat.Â
"Show me." The command of his voice was so enticing. "I wanna see how much y'miss me, love."Â
When he put it that way, she couldn't hold off any more. She wanted him to know just how badly she missed him, how much she wished she was at his side, hands on each other. Shuttering her eyes, she hoped she kept her hand steady as she felt herself unravel. Though it didn't compare to the fire Harry lit in the pit of her stomach, the flames lighting under her skin was enough to simmer her blood and warm her body.
Whimpering calls of his nameâboth of themâfell from her lips. Her breasts heaved under her bra, heart pounding just as hard. Her fingers lagged around her clit as her hips bucked upwards into her hand. Her folds grew impossibly slick, her insides clenching around nothing. Especially when she heard the responding moans from Harry on the other end.
It took effort to peel her eyes open, to look at her own show playing on her phone screen.Â
Harry was cumming, his hand still tight around his cock. Ropes of his release spurted from his tip, dripping down to his stroking hand. Deep, heavy moans fell from his lips. (Y/N) could only imagine the way he looked with his lips parted, eyes shuttered closed with his hair a messy halo around his head. How it would feel to have her head against his chest, feeling the vibrations of his voice under her ear.Â
Aftershocks wracked through her body as she watched him. More and more clarity streaked through her head as she watched his own comedown begin. Through the camera, she could see the way his strokes began to slow, hand shaking as he loosened his grip. Small dribbles were all that remained of his release before he hissed, removing his hand completely.Â
(She wasn't going to say it now, but she felt a bit... sad to know that the slick release covering his hand was going to be washed away. She would have cleaned him up better).Â
Her own hand retreated from between her legs. Her legs moved to close around the phantom touch that had her insides pulsing. She wondered if Harry was able to see the glistening slick over her fingers before she turned the camera back around.Â
"Harry?"Â
It took a bit, a lingering pause with heavy breaths before Harry followed suit.Â
"Sorry," he murmured, his face flushed as he blinked his eyes open, "Are y'alright, love?"Â
Nestled amongst the sheets that still smelled of him, (Y/N) felt a dazed smile touch her lips.Â
"I'm good. Are you okay?"
"'M alright," he confirmed, a subtle grin matching hers. "That was a lot, huh?"
She suddenly felt shy. As if this was the most scandalous thing they've ever gotten up to.Â
"A little. But, good, right?"Â
"Good. Really good," he cemented, a light in his eyes, "Not what I thought we were going to do tonight, but worth it."Â
(Y/N) hummed. "I just wanted help picking out an outfit."Â
A loud laugh bubbled from her love. "Well, at least y'know my favorite."Â
Rolling her sheets, legs still a bit sticky, (Y/N) could only mimic the smile on his face. "I guess so. But I don't know if I can wear that if that's how it made you feel."Â
"Maybe not," he prattled, "Might have to be something just for the two of us."Â
"Maybe," she sighed.Â
On her phone, she watched Harry's eyes grow heavy. Once glance at the time showed her how late the night had grown while they were busy. All after the long day Harry had gone through.Â
"Do you think you'll be able to sleep now?" she asked, her voice decidedly quieter and more even than just moments before.Â
"Probably," Harry hummed, a lazy smile pulling his lips, "Are you tired?"Â
"A little. I still need to clean up, but you know me."Â
"Don't I ever," he teased, affection swimming in his gaze, "Only two more sleeps, sweetheart."Â
"Two more sleeps," she repeated, a sigh fanning from her lips, "I'll talk to you in the morning?"Â
"I'll text y'when I wake up," he assured, exhaustion lessening only to make room for the fondness infiltrating his features. "Goodnight, baby. Love you."Â
"Love you, too, H."Â
The last thing she saw was the loving smile on his face before the screen cut back to their messages. It made her skin warm seeing the last few texts they shared. Everything always seemed a little bit silly once that cold clarity hit.Â
Not that she would change a single moment, of course. Though she didn't see the photo thing becoming the norm between them, it definitely didn't seem so scary with Harry on the other end.Â
It felt... nice, even. Even without her right in front of him, Harry still was the most loving, most affectionate. He was miles and miles away and she was still the most appealing thing to him. After a long day, she was the one he wanted to see.
Biting her bottom lip between her teeth, she pulled up the keyboard one more time.Â
     you can save that video btw !
âââââ
(Y/N) practically bounced in her spot, eyes fixed to the front door and Evie in her arms.Â
He should be back at any second.Â
Like, now.
... Or, now.
Her lips thinned. Evie wriggled in her arms.Â
Maybe, now?
A chirping meow left Evie.Â
"I know, I know," (Y/N) murmured, "As soon as daddy's home, I'll feed you, okay? He should be home in just a second, Evâ"
The sound of the doorknob turning plucked her attention. Even Evie turned to see what was going on. Finagling out of her arms, the kitten rushed towards the door, large eyes directed upwards, waiting for her dad to appear.Â
Pushing open the door, Harry was revealed, in a comfortable all black outfit with the hood of his sweatshirt draped over his head. Just as she pictured, he still had gum being chewed between his molars. His eyes were tired, though there was a spark that filtered through his gaze when he saw the tiny creature at his feet.Â
"Hi, Ev," he murmured, duffle bag dangling over his shoulder as he bent down to pet between her ears. "I missed you so much, little."Â
(Y/N) smiled at the affectionate tone of his voice, her hands clasped into a bundle under her chin.Â
Harry lingered with his cat for only a second before he peeked up at her. Right where she was perched on the arm of the couch, a silky short dress clinging to her form. Stockings on her legs.Â
"Hey, you."
Launching herself at him, (Y/N) flung her arms around his neck. Harry didn't hesitate before he reciprocated her hold, caging her to his c test with the bar of his arms around her back. Lifting her feet off the floor, he tucked his head into her neck, twirling her with the tips of her toes grazing the floor.Â
"I missed you," she murmured, taking in the perfume of his scent. The sheets were beginning to dull, and while she had the full-size of his cologne in their bathroom, it didn't have the same notes that his skin, his laundry, his hair had. It didn't smell the same without the warmth of him underneath.
Harry pulsed his arms around her, the muscles blocking out of his body keeping her steady in his hold. "I missed you too, baby. Next time, you're coming with me, okay? We'll figure something out for Evie and your classes."Â
"Okay," she blindly agreed, nodding her head in his neck, "I'm coming with you."Â
Taking in a deep breath, Harry shifted his hold on her until he had an arm barred around the back of her thighs. It took a tap of his fingers on the plush skin, the strip between the hem of her nightdress and the lace of her stockings, to get to wrap her legs around his hips. Armed with both his duffle and his love, he started towards their bedroom.Â
"Wanna shower with me first, or should we do that after?"Â
"After?"Â
She felt the breath of his laughter fan across her bare shoulder.Â
"After I keep my promise. Y'didn't wear all this for nothing, right?"
(Y/N) only locked her ankles around his back.Â
"Shower after."Â
His hand shifted, giving her backside a small swat.Â
"That's what I thought."Â

ooou could you do paige x reader who joined kks live once (like she thought she was cute and they started talking ykwimmmm)
IKWYMMMM
â© âË.đ§ââŸââ§â âč nice surprise,,
paige bueckers x fem!reader
part two
âyo, that girlâs picture is nice,â
âPAIGE⊠girly pop.. which one?â
paige is pointing to your profile picture and saying your username out loud to kk, whoâs hosting the live.
you donât even have your phone, it was your roommate that joined the live. she had commented a few times and paige saw, zoning in on your picture. she thought you were pretty. to be fair, you loved your profile picture. it was you in a floor-length sundress and sunglasses, holding your younger brotherâs hand.
kk takes advantage of paigeâs blabber mouth, deciding to add you to the live and make her friend talk to you.
your roommate is freaking out, screaming your name and running into the kitchen where youâre cooking dinner.
âGIRL TAKE YOUR PHONE RIGHT NOW-â
âwhat did you do-â
you look on your phone screen and see the live, the faces of your collegeâs womenâs basketball team staring back at you. you recognize some of them easily, paige bueckers and kk are two.
your roommate, evie, is leaning over to you and whispering that âpaige saw your profile picture and thinks youâre cute so they invited you to the live but it wasnât really you it was me so iâm bringing it to you so you can get game girl-â
sheâs talking so fast you hardly even register what sheâs saying. you practically feel your jaw hit the floor and your eyes widen at evie, then at the live, then back to evie. sheâs grinning and winking at you like sheâs just won you the lottery.
âguys this is her..â
âHEYYY GIRL! my friend here, paige- PAIGE boo stop playin. anyway, my friend paige thinks youâre cute.â
âoh! hey guys!â youâre waving gently and smiling. paige practically ran off screen and you think you might do the same. youâre a little camera shy and the hundreds of people watching doesnât help anything.
you catch the way paige is peaking her head over the side of the screen and kk pulls her back down quickly. now youâre both looking straight at each other, a silent understanding of how awkward this moment is.
âheyyy, iâm pagie,â
sheâs also smiling and waving and kk is in hysterics, as is evie. as terribly awkward as this is, you think paige is very nice looking as well. her wavy hair is down past her shoulders and sheâs wearing a uconn jacket with pajama pants on. youâre dressed similarly in your pjâs and a sweater. but youâre definitely embarrassed because you have on an iowa sweater you got from your dad (itâs where he went).
âso youâre an iowa fan?â kk is asking you, one eyebrow raised. youâre blushing a deep shade of red now and hiding your face by pushing your phone back towards your roommate.
what is even happening?
âno guys trust sheâs uconn all the way. we watch the games all the time.â evie is answering for you, pushing the phone into your hands again. you canât tell if you want this moment to end or not.
âthatâs good cause paige doesnât mess with iowa yâknow-â
âwhat?! i never said that! i never said that. iowa is cool.â sheâs talking to you now, probably trying to make you feel better. you think itâs sweet how panicked she is. you feel the same.
âso.. girly pops.. do you wanna date paige?â
âkk! what- what kind of question is that?!â
both you and paige are equally gobsmacked but evie is yelling out in the background that you do want to date her.
âi.. um,â
âyou definitely donât have to answer that ma, ignore her please.â
kk is dying laughing and evie is too from her seat against the counter. paige is taking the phone and walking away, yelling at kk to be quiet and stop embarrassing her. youâre laughing a bit too but cover it up for a simple smile.
paige is really cute, you think.
âhey, look, i would actually take you out on a date.. if you want?â
youâre silent for a moment, looking up at evie with shock. never did you ever imagine that paige bueckers would be asking you out on a date, especially not on a tiktok live.
âum, yeah. yes. i would like that.â
sheâs got this cheesy smile on her face, turning the phone away for a second. âalright, iâll dm you. it was nice to meet you. i wasnât expecting this but it was a really nice surprise.â
âyeah, it was.â
later that night sheâs messaging you on instagram asking for your number. she decides to facetime you, apologizing for the whole live and saying she wishes she could see you in person instead.
next thing you know, youâre giving her your dorm location and number and sheâs on her way to see you. you consider yourself extremely lucky for such a nice surprise.
âÂ·Ë àŒ *đ.àłàżđ„âœïœĄâđŻ ÖŽÖ¶Öž.
I HOPE YOU GUYS ENJOYED THIS!!
itâs a bit different but i really like it

modern au, exes to lovers, transfem stevie harrington
Stevie Harrington is not having a good day.
By all accounts, she should be. Robin woke her right on time by pressing a perfectly made brown sugar shaken espresso into her hand. Nancy and Chrissy got to the venue earlier than expected. The hair and makeup people were on schedule. Their boozy charcuterie brunch during their prep time was perfectly served, the mimosas delicious and the food fresh and light enough to put on her nervous stomach.Â
Everythingâs gone off without a hitch. She looks gorgeous. Sheâs got her something old, her something new, her something borrowed, and even her something blue. Her hairâs done in a soft blowout, framing her face but out of the way, ready for the combs of her veil to slip into. Her makeup is elegant, not too showy and not too dramatic, neutral and warm and sweet. And her dress. Itâs what she always dreamed of, clingy and silky with a dramatic leg slit and a long train, off the shoulders, perfectly white. Sheâs staring at herself in the mirror knowing that in forty-five minutes, sheâs going to hold the worldâs most beautiful wedding bouquet and walk down the most perfectly decorated aisle in the quaintest, sweetest church she could find, and sheâll stand across from her fiancĂ© and take his hands and say âI doâ and all of her dreams will come true.
So she should be having a good day.
Because itâs her wedding day, and Stevie Harrington is about to become Stefania Hagan.
Maybe that brunch wasnât so perfect after all, because she thinks sheâs about to puke.
âI canât do this,â she says, but her voice is so soft itâs barely a whisper and the girls donât even glance at her. âI canât do this,â she repeats, and Robin - bless her, her favorite person in the world, her soulmate, her other half, her maid of honor - glances up.Â
âWhatâs that, Evie?â she asks, and the others look over at her, and Stevie stands there beneath their gazes and knows if she just says it again, says I canât do this, donât make me marry him, get me out of here, all three of them would drag her to an exit and get her the fuck out.
They donât even like Tommy. Robin actively hates him, actually, and that should have been enough for Stevie to never look at him twice.
But it wasnât. It wasnât enough.
She thinks back to a few days ago, drunk in a bar with a white sash wrapped around her torso, a tiara on her head, and mascara running down her face as she desperately sobbed on Robinâs shoulder during her bachelorette party. That little meltdown wasnât enough. And she thinks back further, to when Tommy proposed - in public, at a fucking baseball game, on the goddamn jumbotron. Dread had settled in her chest at the sight of the ring (huge, gaudy, she hated it on sight) even as she pasted on a smile and said yes. That hadnât been enough.
But somehow standing here done up head to toe, about to walk down the aisle in her absolute dream wedding - thatâs enough. Because everything about today is right. Everythingâs in place. Everythingâs gorgeous and going to plan and she should be so, so happy - but itâs the wrong man waiting for her at the end of all of it.
She canât do this.Â
She looks up and meets Robinâs eyes and forces a smile. âI said I need to get my veil,â she lies, and she slips into her shoes (red bottoms, a gift from Tommyâs mother, perfectly white and pointed and itâs her dream day, how can she be throwing this away?) and walks into the other room where her garment bag is hanging, and her veil is there with its delicate detail and itâs scalloped edges and itâs all so fucking perfect sheâs going to scream, she wants to rip it to pieces and she wants to tear this dress off and she wants to sob, she doesnât want to do this, she doesnât want to get married - not to him. Not to Tommy.Â
She could ask for help. Robin would have her out of here in five minutes flat, Nancy would craft an excuse to tell everyone, and Chrissy would cause a distraction. But even thatâs too long of a wait. Even thatâs too much attention, too much suspicion. She needs to move faster than that. She needs out now.
She quickens her pace as she crosses the room, dress dragging along the carpet, and she snags her phone where itâs sitting on the end table next to an overstuffed love seat, and in three long strides sheâs out the door and in the hall and the church has been busy and packed all day but somehow, miraculously, thereâs no one here.
No one sees Stevie as she gathers up the fabric of her dress in her hands and starts to walk towards the exit. No one sees as her walk speeds to a jog, and then a run, and then she slams out of a side door and sheâs on the sidewalk and sheâs sprinting, her heels are going to get scuffed by the pavement but she canât care, sheâs running as fast as she can and dodging people on the sidewalk as they turn and gawk at her and she cannot give them a thought, cannot focus on them even a little bit because she has to get away, escape is the only thought on her mind as she gasps for air, her dress is so heavy and itâs not made for running thatâs for goddamn sure, and the last few years with Tommy flash through her mind - every time heâs undermined her or given her a backhanded compliment or policed her, told her she wasnât feminine enough, told her she wasnât trying hard enough to pass, told her to just keep it all to herself so no one would know she wasnât cis, wouldnât embarrass him by making a scene, all the times that come together to a glaringly obvious conclusion that he doesnât really love her and she kind of hates him a little actually, and obviously she canât fucking marry him andâ
There.Â
A beat-up four-door with an Uber sticker in the window.Â
Thatâll do, she thinks, and she changes course, shoulder-checking a man and not apologizing for it as she makes a beeline for the car. She pops off an acrylic wrenching the door open and tossing herself into the backseat, and she yells âDRIVE!â at the top of her lungs and somehow, through some miracle, they listen, swerving into traffic with a loud curse and a myriad of honking horns and a quaint, sweet little church growing smaller and smaller in the rearview mirror.
Sheâs gasping for breath, chest heaving, staring out the back window like sheâs waiting for someone to follow her - and maybe she is, maybe Tommy is hot on her trail, or maybe Robin is coming to kill her for not including her in her mad dash to freedom and instead jumping in a strangerâs car going God knows where.
âSo uh,â a voice says, and she whips around, staring wide-eyed at the brown eyes fixed on her in the mirror, and no, no fucking wayâ âwhere to, maâam?âÂ
âUm,â she says, and her voice is shaky, cracking a little, she brushes her hair out of her face and stares andâ wait.
Thereâs a beat. The driverâs eyes widen. Recognition flashes over his face at the same time it registers for Stevie.Â
âStevie?â Eddie Munson, her ex-boyfriend of several years, the man she hasnât spoken to since that fateful night they went their separate ways, is staring at her in shock, not even looking at the road, and the only thing she can think is how heâs just as averse to road safety now as heâd been way back when.
âEddie,â she croaks out.Â
Too many emotions are overwhelming her at once and it feels like the biggest clichĂ© in the world, but honestly, Stevie feels like sheâs entitled to some dramatics. Itâs her goddamn wedding day, after all.
Her failed wedding day.
Where she just left her fiancé at the altar.
âOh god,â she manages. Her lower lip wobbles. Her vision blurs.
âStevie,â Eddie says again, like a warning, and thatâs enough to push her over.
She bursts into tears in his backseat.
âHey hey hey!â he says like sheâs a fucking spooked horse or something, which only makes her cry more, ugly sobs that shake her shoulders and drip tear drops onto her dress. âStevie, honeyââ
âDo NOT call me honey right now!â she manages, and he raises a hand in surrender before flipping on a turn signal and finding a parking lot to pull over in.Â
âOkay, okay! No comforting pet names, you got it,â he agrees, and he shuts the car off, turning in his seat to look at her, concern painted all over his face and thatâs just really not fair, she thinks, that he still looks so earnest and sweet and fucking worried about her.
âAre you hurt?â he asks, urgent and serious, and she shakes her head quickly.
âNo! No, Iâm - Iâm fine, really,â she insists and he proves that he is a gentleman after all, because he doesnât call her out on the blatant lie.
âOkay,â he says, level, his hand hovering in the space between them like he wants to touch her. âWhat do you need?â he asks, and she wipes at her face with her hands, swallowing down yet another sob.
âGet me out of here,â she pleads, and he searches her face for - something, she doesnât know what, because sheâs sure all sheâs showing him is how much of a fucking mess she is, but he must find whatever heâs looking for.
He gives her a sharp nod. âAnywhere in particular, sweetheart?â he asks, turning to start the car again. She doesnât call him out on the pet name this time.
âAnywhere but here,â she says, and he puts the car in reverse, pulling back onto the road.
âYou got it,â he says, and some of that old charm must kick in - he winks at her in the rearview. She resolutely ignores the spike of emotion it gives her.Â
Then she takes a deep, shuddery breath, and opens the group chat to break the news to her wedding party.

My Little Bunny | Older!Eddie x Reader
For Evie, @oneforthemunny prompt for her writing challenge. âbased off the lore that older!eddie gets slutty on tequila lol. gimme tequila eddie. make it slutty. the og prompt was at the beach for a wedding of a cousin, if youâd like to follow that, but if not- where does it happen? how do you think it would go? donât spare a single detail please!!!!â I hope I did your man justice đ happy one year!
Happy new year! Here is some smut to start the year off right.
This is pure filth, donât look at međ«Ł
Cw: age gap, oral, p in v, ass play, anal. Minors DNI. Only slightly proofread so if you see a spelling mistake⊠no you didnât đ€
âBunnnnnnnnnnnnnnyâ Eddie slurred. The man could not handle his liquor. But neither could you.
After what happened and the wedding, Eddie swore he wouldnât drink tequila for a very long time. However, tonight was special. Tonight, the baby was with your parents, and Bri was off with your sister for the evening. It was just you. And Eddie. Alone for the first time in what felt like years. Eddie was wining and dining with you tonight.
You convinced him to go to a bar to dance. Well, you danced, he watched. He watched your body; he loved the new curves you got from bringing Delilah into the world. You returned to the bar where he was sitting and ordered four tequila shots. Eddie had been nursing a beer all night; he was shocked at your drink of choice.
âBunny you know what happens when I drink thisâŠâ giving you a stern look.
âMaybe I wanna get a little freaky tonightâŠ. Itâs been so longâ you run your hands up and down his chest.
âI donât knowâ
âWhat if I gave you an insensitive?â
âAnd what would that be?â
âI want you to fuck my ass tonightâ you whispered against your husbandâs ear.
âBunnnnnnnnnnnnnnyâ Eddie slured again as you both stumbled into your home.
âFuck I need you. I need your tight ass so badâ
You canât keep your hands off one another. Your lips are attached to his neck, and your hands run up and down his body. You barely make it through the front door before your hands are trying to get down his pants.
Somehow, you make it to the bedroom. You were stripping your man with each step. Something inside of you was burning, and Eddie was the only thing to put it out. A visceral ache in your core, screaming at you to do something about it.
âI need you, I need you so bad,â you whined because he wasnât moving fast enough. You were already on the bed waiting for him.
Eddie giggled as he tried to unbutton his dress shirt, but it didnât seem to work.
âCome here,â Eddie coxed you closer to him. âI need your help.â
âArms up,â your mom instincts kicked in, and you pulled off Eddieâs shirt in one swift motion.
Without hesitation, you worked on his pants the second your fingertips left the fabric of his shirt. Your nimble fingers worked his belt, button, and zipper, and finally, why you craved most was released before you.
"God, you're so hot! How did I land a wife so fucking hot?"
You let Eddie cup your face, kissing you as he pushes you back onto the bed. His tongue parted your lips, and you gladly let him take charge.
It was needy and messy but so deliciously delightful. You missed your hundreds touch. Youâd been so busy being a new mom, and Eddie tried picking up extra shifts to make a little more cash so you could take a nice vacation this summer. You hardly spent time together. You needed this. He needed this. The fire in his belly was also burning the second you mentioned your perfect tight little hole wanting to be stretched and pounded by his cock.
âYou gonna be my good little bunny?â Eddie spoke as he slinked down your body so his face was level with your throbbing pussy.
âYes!â You had zero patients, and he thought it was cute.
âWell then... You gotta get nice and wet, fâmeâ
âAlready ammmmmâ you wined again. Why was he prolonging this?
âOh is she? I guess Iâll just have to see for myself.â Eddie didnât spare another second. His hands wrenched your legs open, pressing them as far as they could reach.
You let out a moan of pleasure when his mouth finally attached to your lower lips.
Eddie needed to taste you. He usually didnât do this often, but tonight you deserved to be thoroughly fucked. He needed to feel you cumming in his mouth, to taste you, to feel you. His eyes rolled back into his head as he moaned into your pussy.
âLooks like you were right, baby bunny, and you taste so good. Just canât get enough,â Eddie dove back in, flicking and licking at your clit. Your body was so reactive to him tonight. Letâs thank the tequila because it didnât take much to make you cum from his mouth.
âBaby, Iâm so closeâ
âAlready? But I just started playing with herâ he pouted.
âYes! P-please.â You stuttered.
âYou wanna cum? You going to cum for me?â
Unexpectedly, Eddie replaced his mouth with his finger just as you were on the brink. Before you could say anything, his finger was inside your wet fold, collecting all of your slick, and was quickly replaced by his mouth again.
You could feel the warmth building back up. Eddie continued to work your clit. All the while, his finger, drenched with your own natural lube, was starting to tease your other hole.
âOh my god,â you moan as his finger slowly makes its way inside.
âYou okay?â
âDonât stop!â You begged as your first orgasm washes through you.
âFuck, your tight little ass is sucking me in so good,â Eddie continues to finger you as you ride out your orgasm.
âGood bunny. Turn around, ass up, show me whatâs mine.â
You quickly obeyed his orders and flipped around so you could show him what he wanted. You loved when he got possessive.
âTell me what you want bunnyâ
âYou.â
âNu-uh,â Eddie tutted. âBe more specific.â
âEdddiiiieee, please, I need you.â
Eddie couldnât believe your extra brattiness tonight.
âNo,â a sharp slap filled the room and your ass stung. âTell me what you need, Bunny,â he spoke, and he massaged the area he slapped. Soothing your skin.
âYour tongue⊠and your fingers,â you pant.
âGood little bunny,â he smirked. âYou want me to tongue fuck your tight little hole? Get you nice and ready for me?â
âYes,â you sigh as you arch your back more so Eddie can see more of you.
âFuck bunny, youâre perfect.â Eddie gripped each cheek, spreading you open before dipping his head down.
When you felt his tongue make contact with your hole, you cried out again. You were revelling in the fact you were in an empty house. You could be as loud as you wanted.
âMmmmmm, you taste so good, Bunny,â he moaned into you.
âEddie!â
âYes, Bunny?â
âMore!â
âMore what?â
âPlease fuck my pussyâ
âYouâre such a good little slut for me. Good girl telling me what you wantâŠ. But is that all you want?â God, he was so condescending.
You let out an irritated huff. âEddie, please,â you begged as you wiggled your ass in the air to entice him.
âYou need to behave, little bunny, or else youâre not going to get what you want.â Eddieâs hands gripped your cheeks tighter.
âIâm sorry, I just need you so badly babyâ
âOhhh, I like that; tell me more.â
âI need you so bad! Iâm aching for you. Please.â
âThatâs my good girl.
Eddie lined up his cock with your wanton hole and slowly stretched you out.
âThank you.â You sighed with relief.
His thick long cock stretched out your walls. You couldnât help yourself as you rocked your body back and forth onto his cock.
âThatâs it, bunny. Show me what you really can doâ he slapped your ass again. You rocked your knees and hips back onto Eddieâs cock as he stood at the edge of your shared bed.
âMmmmmmâ
âMore!â
You felt a wad of spit drip down your ass, lower and lower, until Eddieâs fingers found it and rimmed your picked hole. As you rocked your body against Eddieâs cock he dipped in his single digit, adding another and another until you stretched out.
Your body is screaming; Eddie was making you feel so good.
âOk, bunny, youâre going to ride me, bounce on this cock and show me how good of a Bunny you are.â
âYes, please. Need you.â
Eddie pulled out so he could get underneath you, but not before he reached the nightstand to pull out the lube you had stashed away for nights like these.
âYou ready for me, baby?â He asked as he covered his cock in the slippery substance.
âYes,â you swung your leg around his hips, aligning yourself with his hard cock that lay on his stomach.
âMy beautiful girl,â he whispered as he guided your hips down onto him.
âOh fuckâ you both grit out in unison.
You watched as Eddie glazed over with lust.
âFucking so good. Damn, tight.â Eddie gritted through his teeth.
He planted his feet on the mattress to ground himself. His hips started thrusting up into you, matching your strokes.
âFuck fuck fuck I love the way you take my cock. Tell me how much you love this cock.â
âI love it,â you panted as you bounced on his cock. You felt so full, so complete. So ready for his cock to fill you.
âBaby, touch me,â you commanded.
Eddie dipped his head to take a nipple in his mouth as his hand found your pussy, finding your clit. A rush of pleasure ran through your body as his mouth and hands explored your body.
âOh baby,â you threw your head back with pleasure.
âHow much do you want it, baby bunny?â
âI want it so bad!â
âWhat do you want?â
âYour cumâ
âSucha little slut, want me to fill your ass with my cum?â
âYes!â
Eddieâs hand never stopped working your clit. You could feel the pleasure build and build. Your legs were burning, but it was in measure to how Eddie was making you feel.
âYouâre close baby I can feel you clenching down on me so tight.â He squeezed his eyes shut with pleasure.
âCum for me, baby, cum for me, then Iâll fill you up so good youâll be leaking for days. Do you want that? To feel my cum dripping out of you tomorrow?â
âFuck. Eddie!â You cried out as your body clenched around his cock, cumming hard.
"Eddie continued to pound into your ass until he unloaded up into you, filling you up just like you begged him to do.
Your body went limp and your soar muscles rested as you lay your weight fully on your husband.
"Remind me again. Why don't I do tequila?" Eddie laughed as his brain released serotonin. "That was amazing." He kissed the top of your head.
"Remember that question tomorrow, big boy." You giggled, and Eddie finally pulled out of you.
"Come on, Bunny, let's get you cleaned up. " Even in his drunken state, he still needed to take care of you.
"Can't move. You fucked me too well." you sighed.
"I think you did most of the work Bun, you fucked me."
"I did, didn't I?" You smile at the realization.
"Don't get cocky now" He slapped your ass, and you jumped up out of bed with Eddie following close behind you.

Can you do a transmale!reader x Harry Hook/Uma
(if you do multiple characters)
Where reader is chosen with the main four in the first movie (kid of Jack Sparrow) and leaves. Heâs part of Umaâs crew. And when heâs chosen in the first movie, heâs pre-T or anything like it.
Then the second movie comes along and reader goes back to the isle with the others to bring back Mal. But he really goes because he wants to see his pirates. Except now heâs been on T for about a year now and had his surgeries. So they donât recognize him and kidnap him along with Ben.
Anddddd I canât really think of anything else after that. SoâŠhave fun with it! Preferably a happy ending, with lots of fluff and sweetness.
Pre-established Uma/Harry and Reader didnât come out to them before leaving so as far as Uma/Harry know, Reader is a cis woman. So itâs a surprise when he finally tells him who he really is.
And yeah, thatâs all. Itâs alright if you donât write it, Iâd understand. Thanks!
Are we supposed to know you? (Uma x TransMale!Reader x Harry Hook)
Summary: You were sent off with the other Vk's to Auradon and when you come back to retrieve Mal, you're changed. You of course go back for Mal, but it's mainly to see the people you left and to tell them you're home. What happens when they don't recognize you and see you as a threat, just like Ben. How will they know you're who you say you are? Pronouns: You/Yours, She/Her (In mentions from Uma and Harry), He/Him Warnings: None Word Count: 2.7k A/N: (Long A/N) Act like Jefferson doesn't exist, I forgot he existed lol. Also, I won't lie, I started this at one o'clock in the morning, and was contemplating how on earth I make this fluff when they don't recognize him and kidnap him. So, unfortunately I didn't get lots of fluff into it, I apologize, I will write a part two to this little thing just for you with only fluff in it. I hope I did the general idea justice, if I didn't, I apologize. Lots of love! <333 (Even if I explained it, you guys would not understand how frustrated I've been with tumblr and my computer. I'm so sorry for how late this is, I've been upset because I had to delay it. It's here now though.)
When Mal came to you , talking about the Isle, you couldn't help but get excited. Your eyes lit up and your smile got wider at the thought of discussing it. Mal noticed your obvious signs of wanting to continue the conversation so she sat down next to you on the bed, looking out the open curtains where the students of Auradon Prep walked. The blonde girl looked over to you, the tips of her hair their typical purple. She sighed and looked back down, messing with her fingers, âDo you ever feel likeâŠâ She paused, unable to express how she felt in words. It wouldâve been easier for her if you were the first person she went to, but you werenât.
She went to Evie, Jay, Carlos, but none of them could understand where she was coming from. It was as if everyone was happy with their new lives, but her.
Mal groaned, putting her head into her hands, unable to speak anymore.
You looked at her curiously, placing a hand on her back and rubbing small circles into it. âYou wanted to talk about the islandâŠright?â You asked her, tilting your head to see her expression. She removed her hands and nodded, not looking at you. âYeah.â
âIs it becauseâŠyou miss it?â
There was a pause, as if the room itself stilled, as if the world stopped. You moved your hand a bit just to make sure it wasnât some sort of magic freezing everything.Â
Mal sat up straight, swallowing hard, âI donât miss the island itself.â She confessed, making eye contact with you, âI miss who I was.â She explained, taking a deep breath, âDo you get what I mean?â
You looked at her blankly, tilting your head as you looked down at yourself.Â
As you did so, she opened her mouth before closing it immediately. She shook her head and laughed, slapping your arm lightly. âYou know what I mean!â
âHey, I didnât even say anything!â You chuckled out, putting an arm around her, placing your head on hers. âButâŠâ You began, rubbing her arm softly as she leaned into you, âI do get where youâre coming from.â
Mal looked up, her eyes a bit water, âYou do?â
You nodded with a smile, âWe went from a life of no no structure, doing whatever we want, enjoying life toâŠâ You blew air out of your mouth, sighing heavily, âRules, etiquette, expectations.âÂ
The girl next to you stiffened at the last word before she relaxed, leaning more into your shoulder. âI just missâŠ.â She trailed off, shaking her head.
âYou miss the freedom.â
âYeah, I miss the freedom.â
You nodded, thinking for a moment. Soon enough, you removed your arm from her and turned to her, âThen, get it back.â
âWhat?â
âShow everyone that you still deserve your freedom.â You explained, moving your hands with your words. âWe didnât stop being villain kids just because we started going to Auradon.â You continued watching as her eyes got bigger, âYou donât have to fit into these boxes people are trying to force us into.â You told her, shaking your head, âIf they donât understand that, then they never really understood you.â
Your words seemed to have gotten to Mal as she stood up quickly, a small smile on her face. âI needed that, thank you.â She told you, inhaling softly as she turned to the door to walk out.
You waved and mumbled a small âyouâre welcomeâ once the door was closed since she gave you no time to.Â
You didnât think much of it, you just assumed she would do something to show people that she was still herself even if she wasnât âevilâ, or necessarily âgoodâ.Â
Well, you didnât think much of it until the next day when the VK group and Ben bursted into your room. You jumped, shoving a paper under your pillow as you clutch your chest. âLast I checked, knocking wasnât a foreign concept.â
Evie mumbled a small apology as the rest stood with apologetic but serious faces.
You sat up since the air was so tense, tossing your legs over the bed to stand in front of them, âWhatâs up?â
âMal left for the Isle.â Carlos blurted out, blinking rapidly as he looked everywhere but you.
Ben looked down with a guilty face, a frown placed on his lips. âWe had a fightâŠâ He mumbled, âShe said I didnât understand howâŠâ He paused, clearing his throat, âShe said I didnât understand her.â
Your eyes widened and your mouth fell open at the realization and of the conversation you had with her.
Jay noticed your expression and knitted his brows together, âWhat?â
A harsh cough left your throat as you looked away from them, âI mightâve had something to do with that.â
The group simultaneously yelled, âWhat?!â
Your hands raised in an automatic surrender, âHey, she came to me talking about the Isle,â You began your explanation, âand I miss my
Evie wasnât pleased to say the least, she crossed her arms with a raised brow. âWe are your people.â
You almost laughed, but given the situation you decided not to. âI miss my people.â You specified, your words reminding the group that all of you werenât exactly the bestest of friends back on the island.
They couldnât say anything, they knew you were right. Ben didnât exactly get the message, and that reminded you all of why you were gathered in the first place.
You agreed to go to the Isle to help Mal.
You agreed, but you werenât really going to help Mal. She lived there her entire life, you knew she would be fine. She knows her way around the island, she practically ran it. You werenât going to the Island to help Mal, you were going home.
Once all of you reached the island, you thought you would all spread out to find MalâŠthat wasnât the case. You all went in a suspiciously large group to find the daughter of Maleficent, something you thought was stupid.
You thought it was stupid, but you all still found where she was hiding out and Ben went to talk to her.
Evie, Jay, and Carlos all talked to each other as you scanned the area, kicking the ground slightly as time passed by. You were barely on the island and now you all were going to leave. It wasnât how you wanted things to go, nothing was how you wanted to go.
Ben walked out and before anyone could question him, he walked straight past you guys. Everyone looked at each other and you sighed, âIâll get him.â You grumbled, jogging after him.
âBen!â You yelled, trying to catch up to him. âBen, wait up!â You yelled once again, finally reaching him, placing a hand on his shoulder. âWhat happened? Why are you so upset?â
âShe doesnât want to come with us, all of this was for nothing.â Ben spoke harshly, ripping his beanie off his head and throwing it to the ground.
You sighed, picking the beanie up, dusting it off. âBen, do me a favor.â
âWhat!â
âLook around right now.â You told him, gripping the beanie tightly. He looked at you confused but you repeated, âLook around right now.â
Ben regulated his breathing, calming down enough to look around. It was cramped, cluttered, dirty even. It wasnât properly cared for but the people around seemed to be having a good time nonetheless.Â
When he looked back at you, you were looking at the children running around, trying to find a way to pick-pocket Ben. âThis is how we grew up BenâŠâ You mumbled, finally making eye contact with Ben, âYou canât expect Mal, the daughter of the biggest villain who was on this island, to just snap into a princess.â You explained to him, shaking your head.
Ben turned, looking at the area around, âI didnât realizeâŠâ He whispered, eyes flickering to something new the more he looked.Â
When the son of Belle and the Beast turned around to face you again, you were nowhere to be found. He turned around quickly, breath picking up the pace as he looked for you, âWhereâd you go?â He called out, spinning in a circle until he felt a tap on his shoulder. He let out a sigh of relief, âCome on, that wasnât fun-â The next thing he knew, everything went black.
Blurry eyes opened, a dry throat let out a cough, and vision restored. Ben looked around for a moment before his gaze fell on you. You were sat with a blank expression, seemingly uninterested in your current situation.
Ben muttered a few incoherent sentences but you cut him off for a moment.
âGetting kidnapped was not on my vacation bucket list.â
Neither of you could even begin a conversation after your words when someone started laughing. The two of you looked up and saw someone had walked in, seemingly amused at your situations.Â
âAbsolutely hilarious, youâre quite funny.â The male said, looking you over a bit before turning his attention to Ben to do the same thing.
Your brows furrowed as you broke out of whatever âtranceâ you were in. âHarry?â You asked aloud, adjusting yourself to get a closer look at him.
He pointed his fake hook to you, placing it under his chin. âHow do you know my name?â
âHow does who know your name?â A voice called from behind the boy, footsteps getting louder as they neared.
Harry tilted his head, âThis one.â He spoke, moving his hook from under your chin to step back.
The person that walked in was a girl, she had light blue braids and brown eyes. She stood tall with the hat of a pirate on.Â
Your brows furrowed once again, your mind still a little fuzzy from your current situation. âUma?â You mumbled out, tilting your head.
âYou know these people?â Ben suddenly spoke out, trying to get out the rope that tied his hands behind his back.
You looked over at him, a bit unimpressed. âI was raised here, I know everyone here.â
Harry gasped falsely, fake hook over his heart, âYouâre a VK?â He asked, not expecting you to answer, since he didn't believe you.
You nodded, forgetting that you look different so they donât recognize you. âUh, yeah.â You spoke as if it were obvious, âBorn and raised.â You spoke, trying to jog their memory. âUma, I was in your shop every single da-â
âOh, and are we supposed to know you because of that?â She asked with a straight face, squatting down to bore her eyes into yours.
You took a deep breath, closing your eyes before opening them again, âIf you said you didnât, Iâd be questioning our friendship.â
Your captors both laughed, looking at each other, âFriendship?â
Ben decided to give up, still listening to the conversation. So much was running through his mind, he was trying to figure out how to get out of this situation untilâŠhe realized something. You knew these people, you guys were friends, they just didnât recognize you. If Ben reminded them, maybe they would let you guys go.
He thought it over before blurting out, âHeâs the child of Jack Sparrow, so yes he is a villain kid.âÂ
Everyone went silent, their laughs were quiet, and your breathing stopped at Bens sudden exclamation.
You looked over and Ben looked you up and down, and that is when you realizedâŠthey donât know who you are. You had changed so much in the past year, even your voice was different. How did you just expect them to recognize you?
When you looked back at the two pirates, they were staring you down. If looks could kill, you would be six feet under.
Uma squatted down in front of you, glaring harshly, âDonât you ever disrespect her like that ever again.â She whispered to you seriously, her head whipping to Ben, âDonât you ever mention her in front of me, again.â
Harry took a few deep breaths, âShe wouldâve been fine here, and you took her.â He told Ben, poking his chest with his hook. âIf you ever try to lie to us, I will gut you like a fish.â
Uma nodded to the statement, âYou think we wouldnât know her family?â She asked you, tilting her head. âJack Sparrow had one child, a daughter, and sheâs never coming back.â She paused, biting the inside of her cheek, âFor you, a preppy, to just try to claim her father as your own for some sense of freedomâŠitâs disgusting.â
The blue haired girl stood slowly, keeping her eyes on you. You finally released the breath you were holding, when she removed herself from your space.
You blinked back a few tears as they turned to walk out the door. Harry gently took Umas hand, whispering some things that you couldn't hear.
They were so good together, they still defended your name even if they thought you weren't there. You didn't expect your chest to hurt so badly when they protected you, even if they believed you were gone for good.
âI wouldâve joined your crew even if I lost that race.â You mumbled, looking at their backs with sad eyes.
The two paused before turning to you, âExcuse me?â Uma asked, standing in place.
âThe race..â You trailed off, âIf you won I would join your crew, if I won you would have to spend a week proving to me how much you wanted me to join and then Iâd give you my answer.â You continued, nodding with your own words. You didn't notice how they continued to walk towards you. You continued on, âUnfortunately, I was dragged to Auradon before I could answer you, so Iâm doing it now.â You told them, looking up to see both of them analyzing you with parted lips, âI was going to join your crew anyways.â
Umas eyes were focusing on each of your features before she cupped your face, looking at you more intensely.
Harry looked up, making eye contact with you, âYou have her eyesâŠâ He muttered, taking off his hook to trace your cheeks.
You swallowed harshly before breathing out a chuckle, your cheeks warming a bit. âI would hope so, I was born with my eyes, guys.â
Uma shook her head, âBut sheâs⊠youâre notâŠâ
âA girlâŠI know.â You whispered out, looking down, or trying to. Harry picked your head back up swiftly.
His eyes were watering slightly, âYouâre telling the truth arenât you?â
You nodded as best as you could with his hands on your cheeks. âI know I donât look the sameâŠâ
He shook his head, âBut youâre still youâŠâÂ
Uma quickly untied the rope keeping you tied up, trying her best to go quickly. She had ordered her crew to tie your guys up from your arms to your legs, and now she was regretting it. Harry noticed her struggle and began to help untie you, muttering curses when he got to harder knots.
Once you were untied, you rubbed at your wrists, looking down for a moment at the burn.Â
You looked up, finally, and were met with Harry and Uma on their knees, staring at you. Their eyes were teary, their chests were rising and falling deeper than ever, neither could speak.
You felt your own eyes begin to water as you rushed forward, wrapping your arms around the both of them.
Harry's arm immediately went around you, he began to cry into your shoulder, holding you tightly. âWe thought weâd never see you again.âÂ
Uma, on the other hand, was hesitant. She slowly wrapped her arm around you. When she did, she felt a rush of familiar comfort, a heat rushing through her chest, something she only felt with Harry andâŠyou. She bit her tongue so as to not cry as she buried her nose into your other shoulder, âWe wouldâve found a way to you anyways.â
The warmth of the two enveloped you as you finally got to be near them again, as you finally got to feel their comforting arms again. âI have no doubt in my mind that you wouldâve found me again.â You whispered to them, trying to hold them tighter.
Harry rambled on about never leaving them again, Uma ran her fingers down your back, both of them weren't letting you go anytime soon.
Uma sniffled a bit, "We missed you so much."
"I missed you guys too, more than you'll ever know."
You were finally with your people again. Now, you didnât have to stare at a picture of the three of you, wishing they were in your arms.

I love you writing and I was hoping you could write Ben Florian x VK!Reader the reader is Lefou's kid. A soulmate AU where the negative things you think about yourself are marked on your soulmate's skin. Reader only has one or two things because Ben is from Auradon and has a good life and family. While Ben has around half a dozen. Reader is the one who gives Ben the love potion. During the lake scene they notice Ben is their soulmate and tries (but fails) to hide it thinking he deserves better
masterlist
There really is no good place for a prince. They are political figureheads in every sense of the phraseâ too young to actually rule, too old to be allowed to skip state functions. They sit in corners of expensive meetings and cut ribbons in front of newly opened buildings, but they canât do a whole lot except smile and pose.Â
Shame your friend seems so fixated on capturing one, then. It feels like youâve just barely left the Isle of the Lost, only bid farewell to the entirety of your prior life experience hours ago, and yet already Mal is scheming about how to best tear down everything around you. If Prince Ben is the best way to fulfill her nefarious plans, then so be it.
The only problem is that youâre now involved in all of this, too. Mal wants a wand and so sheâll take a prince to get there, but as one of her best friends, youâve been drafted into the plot to catch a prince. Ben wonât have any idea whatâs coming. Shame, he would probably run if he had any clue.
Malâs good at covering her tracks, though, she always has been. You can remember elaborate plans from when you were much younger to steal cookies or cloaks, spellbooks and shoes. At this point, hearing Mal tell you that sheâs going to bewitch the crown prince of Auradon into falling in love with her shouldnât surprise you, just the fact that sheâs taken this long to come up with the idea.
Usually, you have no problem going along with Malâs little adventures. Theyâre entertaining, at the least, a good way to pass a few days when youâve already gone over every alleyway and hiding place on the Isle at least a dozen times in the last month. The issue is that youâre not on the Isle anymore, and maybeâ just maybeâ disrupting everything here isnât entirely what you want to do.
Mal doesnât know this, of course. None of your fellow VKs do. Every time they monologue and moan about how they canât wait to get out of this place, you find yourself holding your tongue, biting back your real thoughts about how the school isnât actually as bad as you feared. Sure, the constant judgment from the other children of princes and princesses isnât all that fun, but Auradon Prep has its positives, too. For one thing, you think your soulmate might be here.
What a terrible thing for the child of a villain to prioritize. Youâve heard Mal scoff at the idea of a soulmate, and although Evie is certainly more interested in the idea than some of your other friends, youâre still not sure that youâd find a welcome audience amongst their ranks when it comes to tracking down your soulmate. After all, the odds of that soulmate being from Auradon and not the Isle are pretty high. Theyâve all but told you that themselves.
All things considered, for a society with such control over magic and spells, itâs pretty difficult to find your soulmate. Youâd always wondered why those in charge couldnât shorten the whole affair to something more simpleâ a name on the wrist, perhaps, or an invisible string that only the two of you could seeâ but instead, soulmate magic went the complicated route. How lovely.
The story about the origin of the soulmate magic is convoluted and ancient, going back generations and changing with each family. The general consensus is that soulmates were created to preserve the sanctity of true love, with the idea that soulmates should be able to love each other entirely, flaws and all. So, when you think something negative about yourself, those very same thoughts will show up on the skin of your soulmate, something like a warning label for what theyâre going to get themselves into.
This is all well and good for people with few negative thoughts, maybe theyâll have something here and there about a bad sports result or a poor test grade that their soulmate can chuckle over before meeting them. For you, though? You, the child of a villain, cursed to live forever on a too-small island with the other convicts and criminals, you have had more fears and hated things about yourself than most. Your soulmate must be covered in unhappy musings, which only makes you feel worse about yourself than before. A self-perpetuating cycle of the worst kind.
By contrast, the startling absence of your soulmateâs negative thoughts on your own skin makes you certain that they couldnât be from the Isle of the Lost. There are only one or two fears on your skin, proof of loving parents and a stable home, and theyâre minor things like a bad hair day or a fear of not doing their absolute best. These change, often leaving every few months to be replaced by something else insignificant.
What makes you most certain that your soulmate is the child of a royal is the one negative thought that has stayed on your skin since the very beginning. Your soulmate, whoever they are, is terrified that they will let down the king and queen. Only someone with close ties to the royalty could have such a fear, so itâs proof that your soulmate is somewhere here on Auradon.
So maybe you donât want to leave this place, not yet. Not until you can learn who your soulmate is. Itâll be almost impossible to track them down on this information alone, but supposedly thatâs how the whole thing is supposed to work. You learn about the worst parts of your soulmate, and then you get to love the best of them. The only problem is that youâre fairly sure that if your soulmate is a royal, they wonât want to love you at all.
Itâs easier to ignore the whole affair. Easier to agree to Malâs plan when she proposes enchanting Prince Ben. At least another one of your friendâs schemes will keep your mind off the soulmate affair.
Thatâs what you tell yourself, at least, but your conscience is starting to get steadily more vocal as the days go by. Ben is a nice guy, which hurts, surprisingly. Although the love spell may have been cast on Mal, as one of Malâs closest friends, youâre around the two of them all the time. The boy you see is someone that you wish could be your soulmate. He may be a prince, and you may be a villain, but he makes you want to believe in love after all.
You certainly have the capacity for such musings. For some reason, the love spell didnât take all that well, and although Ben is now compelled to stay with Mal more than he was before, itâs not like heâs totally obsessed with her as Mal had hoped. Mal claims itâs because love spells can never work fully due to the soulmate issue, like having a soulmate is a kind of shield to protect you against that sort of enchantment, but regardless, Ben has just enough independent thought that he can tell you jokes and try to make you smile likeâ well, like he tries to do with Mal.
The realization that Ben is a genuinely good person, and worse, someone you donât want to trick, haunts you as you fall further into Malâs scheme. Youâve been trying to push the whole thing from your mind, letting Ben join your soulmate in the depths of your mind you donât want to touch, but your train of thought keeps circling back to him despite your best attempts otherwise.
Besides, it doesnât help that Mal keeps trying to involve you in the plot. Right now, the two of them are at the Enchanted Lake, out on a cute little date. Mal had been making mock disgusted faces at you the whole time she was getting ready, but some part of yourself canât stop whispering that this doesnât seem so bad, actually, that the thought of being out here alone with Ben would make for a wonderful day instead of the tedious chore Mal is making it out to be.
Ben doesnât know youâre here, though. Mal wanted backup in case something happened, so youâre lingering in the woods to keep anyone from stumbling upon the scene and also holding onto more magical baked goods in case Mal feels the need to renew the spell. Itâs kind of like torture, strolling through this beautiful forest, knowing that Ben is so close and you are helping hold him under the thrall of this plot.
The storm in your mind must be thundering too loudly for you to think straight, because you lose track of yourself and accidentally walk too close to the lake. You werenât supposed to be spotted, but before you can back away and melt back into the foliage, Ben looks up and sees you. You panic, immediately heading the way youâd come, but you hear footsteps after you moments later and Ben manages to track you down before you can go too far. Mal is so going to kill you for messing with her plan.
âSorry,â you murmur, eyes wide when he finally catches up to you, âI didnât realize the two of you wereâ Iâll go now.â
Ben shakes his head. âNo, no, itâs alright. Itâs not like we have a monopoly on the woods.â
Heâs dripping water, most likely due to a recent dip in the lake, and you canât seem to stop your gaze from following the path of the droplets as they cascade down his shoulders, across his hands, and, most importantly of all, over the swooping letters of the fears of his soulmates.Â
Usually, Ben wears long sleeves or something else to hide them. You can see why nowâ there are many of them, many more than you, perhaps half a dozen in all. You canât read all of them from where youâre standing, just snippets about how a villainâs kid shouldnât have a soulmate, how theyâll never amount to much, things like that. Things like what youâve been thinking recently.
Ben must catch on to your train of thought, because he smiles weakly, absentmindedly scratching at a sentence proclaiming that his soulmate isnât worth the good luck they get. âYeah, my soulmateâs a little stressed, I guess. Hopefully, I can talk about that with them soon. I want them to know that theyâre worth it, wherever they are.â
It had never occurred to you that hating yourself would make your soulmate this obsessed. You have no proof that Ben is your soulmate butâÂ
But, as you watch, you can see a new fear appearing out of nowhere, wrapping itself around Benâs left wrist. Iâm not good enough for a soulmate this good. Just what you were thinking mere moments ago. Itâs like proof.
Ben looks up slowly, and although you were never blessed with the ability to read minds, you swear you can tell exactly what heâs thinking right now. âAre youââ he starts, ends, tries again, âDo you know who your soulmate is?â
You can do several things at this moment. You can confirm what youâre mostly sure is true, you can lie, you can pretend you hadnât heard him. You spot movement in the trees behind him, a flash of purple, and remember belatedly that Mal is still somewhere at the Enchanted Lake, waiting for Ben to come back and wondering why youâre holding him here for so long.
All of a sudden, the reality of the situation comes crashing down around your shoulders. This is not something that can happen. Ben is a prince. You are the child of a villain, and the friend of another VK whoâs counting on you to continue fooling Ben so she can pursue her latest mad plan. There is no world in which this works out.
So, you force a smile, banishing all thoughts back into the deep recesses of your brain once more. âNo,â you say, âI donât know. I think theyâre a VK, though.â
Benâs face falls in a flash. âReally? Because I thoughtââ
You shake your head quickly. âI donâtâ itâs not me. I think Mal is waiting for you, though. You shouldnât keep her for long.â
Ben glances back over his shoulder in memory of the girl heâs left somewhere in the woods behind him, and when he looks back, youâre gone. Youâre good at running. Itâs a skill youâve perfected over the years. You just never thought youâd have to use it now.
Prince Ben is your soulmate. Impossible. True. Mal comes back later that afternoon, tells you the date went splendidly despite your accidental intrusion. Ben must not have let the brief moment in the woods faze him for long. It hurts more than you care to admit.
There is only so much running a VK can do, try as they might to pretend otherwise. You avoid Ben at all costs, hoping that whatever foolish war is currently being fought inside your heart will come to a tolerable ceasefire if you just ignore it long enough. Mal tells you that the plan is going swimmingly, sheâs never seen the prince more excited about the VKs and the upcoming coronation. You nod and smile and tell her that youâre glad everything is going to plan, but inside, you cannot seem to stop your mind from screaming.Â
And then, all of a sudden, despite your best attempts to remain out of sight, Prince Ben finds you. Itâs completely out of the blue, so casual that you almost donât realize itâs happening until heâs sitting down at your table in the library and itâs too late to run.Â
You feel like an animal caught in a trap. Heâs just smiling like nothing is the matter. âI know itâs you,â he says by way of hello.Â
Your heart is stuck in your throat. âWhat?â
âI know itâs you,â Ben repeats, âI know youâre my soulmate. I had the Fairy Godmother do a little spell so I could check for you, but I think I knew since that day at the lake.â
You frown. âYou can do that?â
He shrugs, looking a little embarrassed. âNot everyone can, I think. But I, uh, insisted.â
You grin. âPrince privileges?â
âSomething like that.â Heâs smiling, though, maybe pleased that youâre not trying to run off this time. âBut you knew even without the spell, didnât you?â
That does shake your uncertain sense of calm. âYes,â you admit, âbut I didnât think youâ I didnât think it would work out.â
The look on Benâs face is genuinely heartbreaking. âWhat, just because Iâm a prince?â
He says it so casually, itâs almost funny. âYes, Ben, because youâre a prince and Iâm a VK. I mean, my dad was Lefou. He literally tried to ruin the happy ever after of your parents, why would you want someone like me to be your soulmate?â
âSame reason you shouldnât be afraid to want me. Youâre not your father, Y/N, and Iâm not my parents. Weâre just us, and I know that I want you to be my soulmate. I have since the start. I was hoping you would tell me you knew, but after a few days went by and you still said nothing, I figured I had to take matters into my own hands. Even if that meant using a spell or two.â
You keep waiting for the other shoe to drop, for him to laugh in your face and tell you itâs ridiculous to think that he would ever want a VK as a soulmate, but he doesnât. In fact, you donât think he ever will. As impossible as it seems, Ben wants someone who isnât from a perfect fairy tale. He wants you. And that, lovely and wonderful and absolutely crazy, sounds like a fairly good happily ever after for you.Â

Vows of Rivalry
Authors Note: MY FIRST AARON FIC AHH!! Idk what is scarier the fact that this is FINALLY going out to the world or the fact that my first Aaron fic does not follow cannon events. Either way I would really appreciate any feedback you guys can give me. gif credit to original creator. I had it saved on my laptop so I really do not remember
special thanks to @boldlyvoid for beta reading the first draft of this fic. pairing: Aaron Hotchner x female reader
Without further ado here is Vows of Rivalry.
Mock trial season. Every law studentâs worst nightmare. Except for one.
Most students dreaded the possibility of being pitted against Aaron Hotchnerâreigning champion since his first year. Hotch was renowned for his ruthless precision, impeccable argumentation, and the intimidating scowl that seemed permanently etched onto his face. But for Y/N Y/L/N, the prospect of facing Aaron was anything but dreadful. In fact, she relished it.
She could see it now: his jaw clenched, his lips pressed into a thin line, his eyes narrowing whenever sheâd poke holes in his carefully laid arguments. For her, it wasnât just about winning. It was about watching Aaron Hotchner, the unflappable law prodigy, completely lose his composure.
That day was no different. The mock trial courtroom buzzed with the tension of impending arguments, the air crackling with unspoken competition. Y/N adjusted her blazer, her eyes scanning the room for her favorite opponent. There he was, already seated with his ever-present briefcase of legal weapons, jaw set and brows furrowed as he reviewed his notes. She couldnât help the smirk tugging at her lips as she walked to her seat across from him.
The mock trial had barely begun, but the room felt like a pressure cooker. Y/N had just finished outlining her opening argument when Aaron stood to cross-examine her witness. As always, he delivered each question with surgical precision, his voice sharp, his gaze colder than a winter morning.
But she wasnât backing down.
âYour Honor,â she interrupted smoothly, âhe simply doesnât have the evidence necessary forââ
âEvidence?â Aaron interrupted, his calm demeanor finally cracking. He looked like he was about to explode, his face flushed with frustration. âEviâJesus, woman, you make me so annoyed sometimes. I just want to very publicly divorce you!â
The courtroom fell silent, and Y/N stared at him, stunned by his outburst. Then, instead of being thrown off, she smiled. âYouâd have to marry me first, Hotchner.â
Aaron stormed off, leaving the room in a buzz of shock. The judge cleared his throat awkwardly and called for a recess, but all Y/N could think about was how much she had enjoyed watching him unravel.
Neither of them realizing that the judge for this mock trial, their peer Marcus, had a murderous look trained to where Aaron had left.Â
Flash forward â Present day
The BAU office was quieter than usual, the team scattered as they worked on different aspects of their current case. Aaron Hotchner sat at his desk, tapping his pen absently against a case file, the rhythm of his movements betraying his usual calm. His mind wasnât on the caseânot entirely. Instead, it kept wandering back to Y/N. Their history, their rivalry in law school, the way she always managed to get under his skin.
His mind began to drift to that impulsive night in Vegas that had been the culmination of all that tension
The neon lights of Las Vegas blared like a siren song, luring Y/N and Aaron into a world of wildness and excess. After an exhausting week of mock trials, they and their law school classmates had decided to blow off some steam and take a trip to Vegas of all places.
âOkay, Hotchner, letâs see if you can handle another round!â Y/N challenged, her voice slightly slurred as she leaned against the bar, her hair a tousled mess.
Aaron rolled his eyes, his own drink barely clutched in his hand. âI think youâve already had enough, Y/N. You know, you might actually lose your pants at the blackjack table this time.â
âHa! Please, Iâm a betting goddess! Youâre just jealous because I outsmarted you in court last week!â she shot back, leaning in closer, her breath a mixture of fruity cocktails and determination.
âOutsmarted me? You mean you got lucky!â Aaron replied, smirking.Â
âYou know what? Letâs get married!â she taunted, downing the last of her drink.Â
âWhat?â Aaron burst out laughing, nearly spilling his drink. âYouâre kidding, right?â
âNope!â Y/N declared, her eyes sparkling with mischief. âLetâs do it. Vegas style! You and me! A wedding! Right now!â
He glanced at her, both amused and wary. âYou realize that youâre completely drunk out of your mind, right? You know what they say about Vegas weddings. And I donât want to be part of a âyouâre-who-I-got-drunk-withâ story.â
She leaned in closer, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. âCome on, Hotch! Itâll be epic! Plus, weâll have a great story to tell during our class reunion 10 years from now about how we got wasted and tied the knot on a whim!â
âYeah, and how you lost all your money at blackjack the same night!â he shot back, unable to hold back his laughter.
âShut up!â she laughed, but then her expression shifted to one of playful defiance. âI dare you to come with me! Weâll show everyone that even stoic Aaron Hotcher can do something crazy with the right company! Or are you too scaredâ
Aaron raised an eyebrow, a grin spreading across his face. âYou think Iâm scared? You really want to drag me into this madness?â
âAbsolutely!â she insisted, grabbing his hand and pulling him towards the chapel like a determined toddler. âCâmon! Whatâs the worst that could happen? Weâll wake up tomorrow, laugh about it!â
âOr we might actually end up married,â he replied, a mixture of thrill and dread filling him as they reached the chapelâs entrance. âWhatâs your plan if we do?â
âUm⊠weâll just call it a really fun mistake!â she quipped, giggling as they stumbled into the small, tacky chapel. Elvisâs âCanât Help Falling in Loveâ played in the background, setting the perfect absurd tone.
Inside, they approached the altar, barely able to contain their laughter. The Elvis impersonator greeted them, his eyes twinkling as he took in their disheveled appearance.
âWelcome to the chapel, lovebirds!â he boomed, clearly accustomed to drunken couples making rash decisions.
âLovebirds?â Aaron muttered under his breath, shooting Y/N a glance.Â
âShhh! Just go with it,â she hissed, nudging him with her elbow. âItâll be fun!â
The officiant cleared his throat. âDo you, Y/N, take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband?â
âSure, why not?â Y/N said with a grin, her tone decidedly nonchalant. âI mean, he does make a decent man most of the time.â
âY/N!â Aaron exclaimed, mortified and amused at her flippancy.
âAnd do you, Aaron, take Y/N to be your lawfully wedded wife?â the officiant continued, a bemused smile on his face.
Aaron shrugged dramatically, looking at Y/N with exaggerated seriousness. âI guess so. As long as she promises not to annoy me with her terrible jokes and awful puns.â
âHey!â Y/N shot back, mock-hurt. âIâll have you know my jokes are legendary!â
âLegendary at making people cringe,â he replied, chuckling as the officiant tried to stifle a laugh.
After a few more playful jabs and exaggerated vowsâfilled with drunken laughter and outrageous promisesâthey exchanged rings made of plastic and signed their names on the chapelâs official log, feeling giddy and foolish.
As they stumbled back out into the glittering chaos of the Vegas Strip, their marriage license in hand, they couldn't help but laugh that they even printed out one.Â
âIs this even legal?â she asked not expecting a reply, glancing at their license as if it might disappear into thin air. âYou would think that for a pair of law students we would know the answerâÂ
Aaron only shrugged, too drunk to think, tossing an arm around her shoulders. âLetâs hit the casino again. After all, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, right?â
As they walked, their banter flowed freely, filled with giggles and playful nudges. They knew they would laugh about this ridiculous night for years to come, even if they had to figure out how to disentangle themselves from the drunken mess they had just created.
The next morning had been awkward, to say the least. They had agreed to get the marriage annulled immediately, laughing about how ridiculous it all was. Except, somehow, neither had followed through on the paperwork. It had slipped through the cracks of their busy lives.
Now, his mind kept wandering back to Y/N wondering where she was now. He couldnât help but notice how the victims all had a striking resemblance to her.Â
The team had been called in to investigate a series of kidnappings, and the more they dug, the clearer it became for him how they all looked like Y/N. Where was she now? He couldnât help but think. Was she safe?Â
He leaned forward, pinching the bridge of his nose, the weight of it all pressing down on him. He had to find her, his protective instincts kicking in.Â
âDid you find something, Garcia?â Hotch asked, breaking the silence of his office when Penelope Garcia appeared at the door, her fingers flying across her tablet.
She hesitated momentarily, her usual cheerful energy replaced with a seriousness that made Hotchâs pulse quicken.
âI⊠I think so, sir,â she said, her eyes widening as she glanced at her screen. âDoes the name Y/N Y/L/N ring any bells?â
Hotchâs heart stopped for a moment. His eyes locked with Garciaâs, his mind racing. âYes,â he replied, his voice strained. âSheâs⊠my wife.â
Garciaâs jaw dropped. âWait, what?â
Hotch took a breath, the memories rushing back. âWe got married⊠years ago. It was a mistake. We were supposed to get divorced, but⊠it never happened.â
Garcia blinked rapidly, trying to process what he had just revealed. âSo, youâre telling me⊠youâre still married?â
âYes.â Hotchâs voice was tight with emotion.Â
He stood abruptly, grabbing his jacket from the back of his chair. âWhat did you find?â
Garcia quickly shifted gears, âwell, her co-workers reported Y/N missing yesterday after not showing up to work,â pulling up a map of the latest victim location. âY/Nâs phone pinged from an industrial area near the docks about an hour ago. The unsub is still playing games, but I believe she is the latest victim, sir. It appears he stalked her online for a couple of weeksââ
Hotchâs jaw tightened as he listened, his professional side taking over. âSend me the coordinates. I want the team assembled now.â
~~~~~
The BAU team had nearly arrived to the warehouse, moving swiftly and silently. Hotch led the charge, his mind a blur of tactical planning and personal fear. He couldnât let anything happen to her. Not after all these years. Not when he was just realizing how much she still meant to him.
Inside, the air was thick with dust and decay. The unsub had clearly been holding Y/N here, but as they searched the space, there was no sign of her or the unsub.
Hotchâs phone buzzed. A new message.
It was from Y/Nâs phone, but the words were clearly from the unsub:
âDo you remember? Do you remember how much you tried to hate her? Tried to hide much did you love her? You wonât find her in time, Hotchner.âÂ
So this was someone from their past, but who? While trying to think of anyone that wouldâve been trying to get close to her and hating him he couldnât help but recall one fateful winter day that cemented them as academic rivals while also cementing his love for her.Â
The cold bite of winter air seeped into the library, where a few stubborn law students huddled around textbooks and laptops. Outside, snowflakes drifted lazily, painting the world in white, but inside, a different kind of storm was brewing.
Aaron Hotchner glanced up from his notes, his sharp gaze falling on Y/N, who sat across from him in their study group. The usual fire was in her eyes, and the faintest trace of a smirk tugged at the corner of her lips as she readied herself for another round of their never-ending banter.
âYouâre completely wrong, Hotchner,â she said, her voice sharp and teasing. âYour interpretation of the case law is so off-base, Iâm surprised youâre even here right now.â
Aaron raised an eyebrow, a smile tugging at the corners of his lips. âIs that so? Enlighten me, then. If you can, that is.â
Y/Nâs face flushed, her hazel eyes narrowing in mock-annoyance. The faint crinkle of her nose appearedâthe one that always seemed to surface when she was riled up. It was something he had started to look forward to, something that drove him to keep pushing her buttons just to see that reaction.
âDonât tempt me,â she said with a huff, leaning forward to point at his notes. âRight here, you missed the entire point of the ruling. You canât just cherry-pick the facts that support your argument. Youâre better than that⊠or at least, I thought you were.â
Her words were laced with sarcasm, but Aaron found himself barely hearing them. Instead, his mind focused on the way her hair fell loosely over her shoulders, how her cheeks were tinged pink from the warmth of the heated room, and how that fire in her eyes sparked every time they clashed.
She was beautiful in a way he hadnât allowed himself to fully acknowledge until now. Heâd always admired her intellect, her tenacity, the way she stood her ground no matter how hard he pushed. But todayâtoday something shifted. It wasnât just respect or admiration anymore. It was something deeper, something that hit him square in the chest as if knocking the air out of him.
God, he loved seeing her like thisâpassionate, focused, and utterly unrelenting. His heart raced as he watched her argue her point, lips moving with a confidence that captivated him. Heâd always riled her up for the sake of competition, but now he realized it was more than that. He loved it. Loved the way her nose crinkled, the way her skin flushed pink when she got under his skin and knew it.
She was like a force of nature, and Aaronâagainst all logicâwas caught in her storm.
âAre you even listening to me?â Y/Nâs voice cut through his thoughts, her eyes narrowing further as she leaned back, arms crossed.
Aaron blinked, shaking off the haze of his realization, and quickly returned to their debate. âOf course I am. Iâm just trying to figure out if you actually believe that nonsense youâre spewing.â
Her mouth fell open, and that familiar spark lit in her eyes again. âYouâre impossible!â she snapped, throwing her pen down dramatically.
Aaron bit back a grin. âAnd youâre predictable.â
That earned him a glare, but he could see the amusement behind it. She thrived on this, just like he did. The banter, the push and pullâit was their language, and heâd never felt more alive than when they were like this. But now it came with a deeper ache, a longing he hadnât anticipated.
Later that day, after theyâd packed up and left the library, Aaron lingered near the hallway, stuffing his textbooks into his bag. Y/Nâs voice drifted from around the corner, chatting with her friends.
âAre you sure you donât want to come out with us tonight?â one of the girls asked. âMarcus has been wanting to ask you out and you always shoot him down.âÂ
Y/N laughed softly. âNo, Iâm good. I promised myself Iâd focus on law school. No distractions. Iâm staying single and just keeping my head down until graduation.â
Aaron froze, his breath catching in his throat. The words stung more than they should have. He had just admitted to himself that he might be falling for her, and nowânow she was putting up a wall, and he wasnât even on the other side of it.
Single. Focused on her studies. No distractions.
It was clear where she stood, and Aaron felt a knot of frustration tighten in his chest. He could never compete with her ambitions, nor would he try. He respected that about her. But still, it hit him hard, this quiet admission of hers that he had no place in her plans.
He stood there, hidden just out of view, feeling the weight of her words settle over him. He had never been one to chase something he couldnât have, and Y/N had just made it clear she was determined to stay unattached.
But if he couldnât have her the way he wantedâif she would never see him the way he saw herâthen heâd find another way to stay close to her.
That night, as snow continued to fall softly outside the window, Aaron made a silent vow to himself. If being her rival was the only way to be near her, then so be it. He would challenge her, argue with her, push her to her limitsâbecause thatâs when she was at her best, and it was the only way he could keep her in his life.
If being her academic rival was all he could be, then he would make sure to be the best damn rival she ever had.
The blood drained from his face as he reread the words. This was personal. The unsub had been watching themâwatching their past, their history. And now, Hotch knew he was the key to finding Y/N. Could it have been Marucs? Marcus was the other relentless suitor that y/n had. Could it be him?Â
He called Garcia, âwe are almost at the location Y/Ns phone pinged last. Look into Marcus for me, he went to school with usâ he orderedÂ
âLooks like Marcus has had many girlfriends that resemble Y/N physical appearance since graduating, up until last year in which his girlfriend broke up with him to marry someone else. The wedding date coincides with the first killing sirâÂ
âThanks Garciaâ he said as they arrived at the location.Â
The SWAT team had cleared the perimeter, and Aaron Hotchner stood just outside the door of the dilapidated warehouse. The once-industrial building had long since been abandoned, its cracked windows and rusting metal exterior fitting the profile of a man like Marcus Chambersâsomeone who had faded into the shadows, but had never truly disappeared.
Aaronâs heartbeat thudded heavily in his ears, the only sound louder than the quiet murmur of the team communicating over comms. Theyâd been tracking Marcus for days, and this was their best lead yet. But there was one glaring problemâit seemed Y/N wasnât here.
And time was running out.
The door to the warehouse creaked open, and Aaron nodded to Morgan and Prentiss, signaling them to enter first. Inside, the air was stale and filled with the faint scent of metal and dust. There were scattered pieces of old machinery and boxes, but it was otherwise emptyâsave for a table and the man seated at the far end of the room.
Marcus.
His dark eyes were fixed on the team as they approached, his mouth curled into a bitter smirk. He didnât make any effort to move or run, didnât flinch as SWAT flooded in behind them, guns raised and voices sharp with commands. He sat there, unbothered, like heâd been expecting them all along.
Aaronâs jaw clenched as he approached, unable to shake the burning anger and desperation clawing at him. Y/Nâs life depended on this, and every second felt like an eternity.
âWhere is she?â Aaronâs voice was low, controlled, but the fury beneath it was unmistakable.
Marcusâs eyes flickered with amusement as he leaned back in the chair, crossing his arms lazily. âYou think itâs that easy, donât you, Hotchner? You swoop in, play the hero, and save the day.â He sneered. âBut not this time.â
Aaronâs fists clenched at his sides. The rage boiling inside him was barely contained, but he couldnât afford to lose control now. He couldnât let Marcus see just how much he was getting to him. He wouldnât give him the satisfaction.
âIâm not playing games with you, Marcus,â Aaron growled, stepping closer, his voice like steel. âTell me where she is, or I swear you wonât like how this ends.â
Morgan stepped forward ready to jump and protect his boss and close friend, hand resting on his gun, ready for any sign of danger. âYouâre surrounded, man, youâre not walking out of here, so you might as well make it easier on yourself.â
Marcus chuckled darkly, shaking his head as if amused by the entire situation. âEasier? For me? This was never about making it easy, agent.â His eyes drifted back to Aaron, and there was something unsettling in his gazeâsomething cold, unhinged. âThis was about making you pay.â
Aaron felt the weight of those words, and it took everything in him to keep his expression neutral. He had known Marcus back in law schoolâhad always seen him as a man with an inferiority complex, always jealous of anyone who succeeded around him. But that was nothing compared to the bitterness Aaron saw now.
âThis is about Y/N, isnât it?â Aaron said, voice steady but cutting. âYouâve hated me since the mock trial when I said I would marry her, but Marcus you should know we were just rattling each otherâ
âBullshitâ Marcus yelled irritatedÂ
Marcusâs smirk widened. âYou have no idea, do you? No idea what it felt like watching youâgolden boy Aaron Hotchnerâget everything handed to you. The grades, the reputation, and then⊠her.â
Could he really know about Vegas, about them actually marrying? Aaron thought. It wasnât as if they actually lived like husband and wife, they had just forgotten to annul the marriage, granted, as far as he knew neither of them had dated after that day. Could he really be this infuriated by a piece of paper? Aaron decided not to focus on the pang of guilt he felt by thinking of the marriage to the love of his life as just a âpiece of paperâ he had to figure out where she was before it was too late.
âI watched you two,â Marcus continued, his voice laced with bitterness. âWatched you marry her like it was some joke. Like she was some prize you could just win and forget about.âÂ
Aaronâs stomach twisted. It all went back to Vegas. The night theyâd gotten drunk, the night he and Y/N had woken up with rings on their fingers and hazy memories of how they got there. A wedding that should have been forgotten, annulled, but had somehow turned into something much more permanent, a silent promise that they would always be there for each other. A promise he couldn't break, not after all this time.Â
 And Marcus had been there. Heâd seen it all. And he was dead set on breaking the fragile bond that was made that night between Aaron and Y/N. Â
Suddenly, a faint sound caught his attentionâa soft, muffled cry coming from the back of the warehouse. Hotch motioned for the team to follow as they approached a locked room. Kicking the door open, his breath caught in his throat.
There she was. Y/N. Bound and gagged but alive.
You were there that night?â Aaron asked, her eyes narrowing in suspicion.
Marcus nodded, his eyes flickering with something darkerâsomething dangerous. âI saw it all. You donât even remember, do you? How you laughed about it. How you said it didnât matter, how it would all be a funny memory years down the road. But it mattered to me.â
Aaronâs chest tightened. Yes, there was laughter that night. But, he hadnât brushed it off like it meant nothing. It had scared him the days after how much that marriage had meant to him. But Marcus had twisted that memory, had held onto it all these years, letting it fester into something deadly.
âThis isnât about Vegas, Marcus,â Aaron said coldly. âThis is about your obsession. Youâre angry because you never stood a chance.â
Marcusâs smirk faltered for a brief second, but the madness in his eyes only intensified. âI didnât stand a chance because you took her from me before I even had one.â
Aaronâs fists clenched tighter, his patience fraying. âI'm done with this, Iâm done with you. Tell me where she is. Now.â
Marcus chuckled, leaning forward in his chair, his voice dripping with malice. âYou really think Iâd make it that easy for you? No, Hotchner. This is your punishment. You donât get to save her this time.â
Aaronâs blood ran cold, a chill settling deep into his bones. He stepped closer, towering over Marcus, his voice deadly calm. âYou tell me where she is, or I swearââ Aaron couldnât finish his threat, noticing Marcusâ eyes flickered to the timer he set on a nearby table.Â
Marcus met Aaronâs eyes, his smile fading into something more sinister. âYouâre too late. She will be dead in 20 minutes.â
Aaronâs heart stopped. Too late. No, that couldnât be possible. Not Y/N. Not when they were so close.
âWhere is she?â Morgan demanded, his voice rising.
Marcus didnât answer. His gaze drifted lazily around the room, savoring the tension, the desperation on Aaronâs face. âYouâll never find her. Sheâs too far gone.â
Aaron lunged forward, grabbing Marcus by the collar and hauling him to his feet, rage boiling over. âWhere is she?!â
Morgan and Prentiss moved to pull Aaron back, but he was already too far gone. Marcus laughed in his face, taunting him with the one thing Aaron couldnât afford to lose: time.
And then, in a quiet, venomous whisper, Marcus finally spoke.
âYouâre looking in the wrong place.â
The words sank in, chilling Aaron to his core. Marcus had known all along that theyâd come here, had expected this, planned for it. And while they wasted time finding himâY/N was somewhere else.
Somewhere Aaron might never reach her in time.
He released Marcus, stepping back, chest heaving with frustration and panic. They had him in custody, but it wasnât enough. Not without Y/N.
They were running out of time, and Aaron knew he couldnât afford a single second more
Back at the BAU Penelope Garciaâs fingers flew across the keyboard, eyes glued to the flurry of data populating the screen. Sheâd been digging into Marcus's background, searching for anything that could lead them to where he was keeping Y/N. âCome on, come onâŠâ she muttered under her breath, frustration buildingâuntil suddenly, a detail popped up, too familiar to ignore. âWait a minute,â she whispered, freezing. She leaned closer, eyes widening as the puzzle pieces clicked. âThe old library!â
Spencer Reid, sitting across from her, looked up from the stack of files he was pouring over. âWhat about it?â
Garcia spun her chair toward him, her face pale with realization. âThat abandoned libraryâthe one Hotch and Marcus used to study at with the group. It was scheduled for demolition last year, but the plans were scrapped. No oneâs been there in years.â
Reidâs eyes lit up with recognition, and his voice dropped. âItâs isolated. Quiet. The perfect place to hide someone.â
Garcia immediately tapped into her comms, panic lacing her voice as she patched through to Hotch. "Hotch, I think weâve found her. Sheâs at the old library. Marcus has her at the place you all used to study.â
There was a beat of silence before Hotch's voice came through, tight with urgency. "We are on our way."
Aaron Hotchnerâs heart pounded as he pushed through the crumbling doors of the abandoned library, his flashlight slicing through the dust-choked darkness. Morgan was right behind him, followed closely by Prentiss, JJ, and Rossi, their footsteps eerily silent against the cracked tile floors. The air was heavy with mustiness, and the faint echoes of their pastâyears spent studying in this very placeâseemed to haunt the hallways. But there was no time for memories. They had to find her.
A distant sound, soft but unmistakableâa faint whimperâcut through the silence. Hotch froze, his breath hitching. His pulse quickened as his eyes darted toward a door partially ajar at the far end of the room. He motioned for the team to fan out as he crept forward, fear and determination twisting in his gut.
He pushed the door open, revealing Y/Nâbound, bruised, but aliveâlying in the corner of the room. Relief surged through him like a wave, but there was no time to celebrate, she was breathing but not conscious. Morgan moved quickly to her side, cutting her restraints while JJ and Prentiss scanned the area, and Rossi stood guard. Hotch knelt beside her, his voice low but filled with an emotion he rarely let surface. âYouâre safe now. Iâve got you.â
Her eyes, though tired and scared, widened when she saw him. Relief washed over her face âY/N,â he whispered, his voice cracking for the first time in years.
She coughed softly as she tried to smile. âYou⊠you found me.â
âAlways,â he whispered, pulling her into his arms. âIâll always find my wife.â
â â
â
if there was something to know about you and your best friend, grace, the two of you were two peas in a pod. the two of you were quite literally attached at the hip, and you have been ever since you were 15.
and if you were to tell those cheeky 15 year olds that you were now dating, they wouldâve said you were crazy.
â
you and grace were slight opposites and thatâs what made the two of you so balanced out. the two of you were extremely cheeky and always getting caught into mischief.
yet, you could be reserved at times, needing a little extra time to open up to people, but grace always made it easier.
grace helped you out of your shell from a young age, and a lot of your teammates found that you calmed grace down a lot when she got over excited.
your relationship was pure, it just worked, it was fun and exciting yet heartfelt and genuine.
you both played together for england and followed grace around to different clubs. it was rare to see the two of you apart.
â
back in 2022, the two of you moved in together as you both played for manchester united, and during this time, you by very high demand made a tiktok account to document your daily life.
they were regular videos, some silly ones, serious ones, you didnât think much of it until they blew up because of yours and graceâs videos.
videos of the two of you giggling on the couch playing with filters, or going to training together. people couldnât deny the chemistry between the two of you.
you tried to act like the shipping comments didnât affect you but they did. you harboured a crush on grace but pushed it aside knowing that the comments made her uncomfortable, as she would never look you in the eye when you would bring them up.
but what you didnât know was that the comments overwhelmed grace because she thought she was being too obvious.
if people on the internet were catching on to her massive crush, she would surely be caught out by you. but of course, the two of you were clueless.
â
in 2023, you and grace both got loaned to tottenham and thatâs when things really kicked off.
âhey, everyone! today iâm doing a get ready with me for game dayâ you smile at your phone propped up on the mirror of your bathroom.
you were chatting mindlessly, explaining who the match was against, how you were feeling, what was going to happen in the process.
these were your most popular videos, and you loved to make them to communicate with the fans.
âiâm feeling good today, hopefully i get to start, i had a niggle in my hip that was bothering me for the last two weeks and havenât been able to playâ you pout slightly at the camera, fixing up your hair the way you liked it for the game.
suddenly, grace comes in the room, sending the camera a cheeky grin as her arms wrapped around your middle, chin resting on your shoulder.
âgracie girl is hereâ you chuckle, growing louder when grace playfully pinches your waist with a quick kiss to your cheek.
she stares at you affectionately through the mirror, ready for the game and clearly waiting for you. she fixes a stray hair away from your forehead with her arms still wrapped around you tightly.
âwhy donât you tell everyone why you have a niggle in your hip?â she laughs, you glare at her through the mirror, your hard gaze meeting with her amused one.
ânoâ you grit, trying to take graceâs arms off you but she was stronger, âyesâ she quips, a shit eating grin evident on her face.
âgrace, no, stop itâ you warn, grace shakes her head, really wanting you to say the real reason youâve been out for two weeks.
âfine, iâll say itâ she grins, your eyes widen, you turn in her arms, your hand clasping over her mouth as you glare at her, letting out a squeal when grace licks the palm of your hand. you could be a germaphobe at times.
âfuck, clinton, thatâs gross!â you grimace, washing your hands immediately, clearly a bad idea because grace grabs your phone and makes a run for it.
you let out a heavy sigh, fighting a smile at the corner of your lips hearing graceâs little excited giggles.
â(y/n/n) hurt her hip because i stole her water bottle and she chased me in the rain and fell right on the pitchâ she laughs, hearing you groaning from the bathroom.
âbut donât worry guys, i carried her everywhere and kissed her betterâ she says cheekily.
you laugh as grace comes back to you, pressing her cheek to yours as she held the phone close to your faces, both of you making silly faces.
you cut the video and get dressed into your kit, making grace film your finished look which really caught the attention of the fans.
âokay guys, final outfit, literally the spurs kitâ you do a little spin and grace lets out a whistle, âso beautifulâ she says adoringly, your cheeks slowly turning pink before you scrambled to get the phone off grace.
you and grace continued to make videos and the popularity grew more and more on your account.
so much so, later on when you and grace made the senior lioness team, they always paired you up for media days.
â
âhello, iâm (y/n) (y/l/n)â grace says cheekily, you hold back a laugh, âand iâm grace clintonâ you say back matching her energy. grace glances at you quickly with a smile before turning back to the camera.
âtoday, we are doing a food challenge, which will be interesting because gracie is a picky eaterâ you chuckle, receiving immediate protests from grace,
ânah, youâre picky too!â she accuses, pointing her finger at you sternly before gently booping the tip of your nose.
you scrunch your nose up slightly at the action, grace canât help but blush a little at your soft gaze, quickly snapping out of it knowing you were on camera.
âokay, iâm a little picky but grace is a lot more picky than meâ you shrug, looking down at the covered plate in front of the two of you.
âokay, whateverâ grace scoffs teasingly, bumping your hip with hers. âso, we will be doing rock, paper scissors and one of us will be blindfolded, and then we guess the foodâ grace explains.
your eyes were trained on her the entire time she spoke, and when she turned to see you already looking at her, her heart sped up faster than her playing a full 90 minutes.
âletâs go!â you smile, turning to grace to start rock, paper, scissors. and of course, grace won.
she snickered as she gestured you to spin around, gently tying the blindfold over your eyes and spinning you around by your shoulders after she was done.
âis it too tight?â she asks with a hint of worry, you mindlessly wave out your hands, feeling for graceâs face, both of you giggling when you cupped her cheeks.
ânah, iâm good, hurry up!â you pinch her cheek, making her roll her eyes and face the camera.
âso impatientâ she mouths, smiling before taking your hands off her face, squeezing them quickly before taking the closh off the plate.
and when it was opened, there were two little bowls, one with ice cream and one with hot sauce. clearly, the media team wanted you both to be evil, but grace couldnât do that to you.
she spoons the ice cream into your mouth and you smile, âtoo easy, ice creamâ you giggle, grace wiping off the remainder on the corner on your mouth, licking off the excess.
âwell doneâ she praises, squeezing your bicep gently before moving to take off your blindfold after the media team presented a new plate.
the next time, you won and grace had a go at being blindfolded, and you felt a little cheeky with the options. one being wasabi and the other being peanut butter.
you scooped up the teenist amount of wasabi and instantly felt bad as it made way to her mouth. she immediately grimaced and coughed, you handed her water immediately and giggled when grace assured she was okay.
âthat was disgustingâ she coughs as you take the blindfold off, you wrap your arms around her neck and pull her down into a tight hug, uttering apologies as you kissed her cheek repeatedly.
grace flushed completely, her hand pressed firmly into the small of your back.
âi canât believe i did thatâ you say against her cheek, holding her close with an apologetic smile, grace chuckles as she held you, pulling away slightly to press her own kiss against your cheek that had you flushed as well.
both of you pulled away with a clear of your throats, continuing the video with shy glances at each other. and like clockwork, the video. blew. up.
you both didnât expect the amount of attention you were getting. gaining more and more followers, as well as an increasing amount of dmâs and comments questioning yourâs and graceâs relationship.
on a free saturday, you were sitting on the couch in your shared flat, scrolling through endless comments about you and grace. you were up earlier than her, as grace liked to sleep in.
you looked worried as you scrolled, breathing a little heavily with a pit in your stomach growing. maybe you were coming on too strong? grace was probably so uncomfortable, you should have known better.
you couldnât help the tears pricking in your eyes, it was overwhelming. you loved grace, you really did, and you felt occasionally that she might feel the same but the uncertainty grew larger through the years.
you heard the door of graceâs room open and you hurriedly wiped your tears, grace heard the sniffles and rushed over to where you were, worry flooding over her features.
âlove?â grace says cautiously, heart breaking as you turned to her with a tearful smile, âmorningâ you choke out, grace moves around the couch to sit next to you, her hand grabbing yours and interlocking them.
âlove, whatâs wrong?â grace asks softly, her free hand wiping a stray tear escaping your eye. you take a deep, shaky breath, subconsciously moving closer to the girl you loved so much.
âthe comments on the video we made is just a lot to handleâ you breathe out, fighting back the tears seeing graceâs concerned face.
âthe ones about us?â grace clarifies, you nod, your hand squeezing hers a little tighter. âyou donât like them?â grace asks cautiously.
âi just think iâd like for them to be trueâ you say after a moment of silence, bracing for the impact of rejection from your best friend.
âwe can make them trueâ grace says without hesitation, her demeanour changing completely knowing you felt the same.
to say you froze was an understatement, your eyes meeting with grace made your body feel like it was on fire.
âiâve always wanted that, babeâ grace says earnestly, smiling brightly at your look of relief. âi have tooâ you say shyly, hearing grace tutt next to you.
âand you didnât say anything? tskâ she mocks, her face stoic for a split second before you both broke out in a fit of giggles.
âyou didnât say anything eitherâ you roll your eyes teasingly, âi didnât say it verbally, no, physically, yesâ she says charmingly, moving forward to place a kiss on your cheek.
she smiled feeling it grow warm under her lips, pulling away with a satisfied smirk. but what she didnât expect was you leaning in for a kiss on her cheek, grace moving her head so your lips met with hers gently.
you pulled away slight with a surprised expression but leaned forward again until your lips just ghosted over hers, teasing her with a smile.
âso annoyingâ she joked, her hand making its way to your cheek and pulling you in for a kiss.
you giggle against her lips and she bites your bottom one warningly, both of you heavy breathing as grace lowered your back to meet with the couch, both of you kissing breathlessly in a languid, yet loving kiss.
when grace pulled away, she took in your appearance, kiss swollen lips with enlarged pupils, admiring how beautiful you looked, knowing you were doing the same with her.
both of your eyes twinkled. you both knew the wait was worth it to get to this moment.
â
âhey guys, today we are doing a get ready with me for camp for the lionessesâ you smile at the camera, hearing a snicker coming from beside you.
âi have a very special guest for this oneâ you say cheekily, glancing over at grace with a knowing smile, holding out your hand for her.
she took it instantly, letting you drag her into the frame, grace with a bright smile that made your heart feel warm.
âmy special guest is my girlfriendâ you grin up at her, letting grace peck your lips quickly knowing it would go crazy on the internet.
âbefore we start, baby, i want to answer a question i saw in your commentsâ grace says pleadingly.
you giggle and nod, your girlfriend squeezes your hips gratefully as she kissed your cheek.
âto answer your questions, yes i can fight, and i willâ she says with a hint of anger in her words, wrapping you up in a tight hug from behind as she kissed your cheek repeatedly, deja vu from the first video that gained a lot of attention.
your hands rest on graceâs with a loving smile before you helped each other get ready, answering some questions as you go along for fun.
when the video got posted, everyone flooded the video with messages of support, feeling the pure love emanating from the both of you.
hi babe, how are you? i hope you're fineâ€ïž. idk if you are accepting requests but i really would like to make one. I've been thinking about this a lot and, as I've been following and admiring your stories for a few years, I wanted it to come from you. You could do an imagine where Harry falls in love with a woman who has a very young daughter, around 5 years old. It took him a few months to meet her because Y/N knew that the little girl hadn't yet accepted her parents' breakup and that's why the last two attempts at dating had gone wrong, she had already given up trying until she met Harry. So he tries to win the little girl over from the beginning because he really likes Y/N and won't give up on her so easily. thank you in advanceâ€ïž
A/N: i haven't taken any requests in a long while, but i wanted to write something short but sweet so here we are!
WORD COUNT: 1.2k
MASTERLISTÂ |Â SUPPORT ME!
Sitting on the bottom of the stairs Harry can still hear Y/Nâs soft murmur coming from Evieâs room, the bedtime story has been going on for over twenty minutes now, but he doesnât mind the waiting. If it takes hours, he will still be here, waiting for Y/N to return and even if she asks him to leave, it would still be worth it, just to kiss her goodbye and head home. Any minute he gets to spend with her is worth the wait.Â
Tonight has been special, something heâs been looking forward to since their second date when she told him she has a daughter. He still remembers how hesitant and closed-off he seemed when she talked about Evie, because she was scared of his reaction, that he would think of her differently just because she is a mother.Â
But it didnât change a thing. He just realized he had even more respect for her.Â
Itâs been three months since that conversation and he waited patiently for her to offer him to meet Evie, he wanted it to happen on her terms. Tonight was that time finally.Â
He came over to her place and they baked cookies together and watched Frozen, Evieâs favorite movie. Harry came prepared, he brought her a gift and tried his best to win the little girl over, which happened quite fast.Â
Or at least the moment he started singing Let It Go with her.Â
Y/N has told him about her last two attempts at dating, it took her quite some time to build up the courage to meet new people after his divorce and it was especially hard for her, because Evie was just two at that time. She dated two guys, both of them turned her down because they couldnât deal with her being a single mother. One of them didnât even have the gut to tell her straight to her face, he just ghosted her.Â
It angers Harry so much that she was treated this way, because she deserves the world. But at least now he gets to be the person to give her it all.Â
He hears the door to Evieâs room open and close softly and a moment later she sits beside him on the stairs. Instantly, his arm comes around her figure, tugging her to his side.Â
âSorry it took so long.â
âDonât apologize.â He places a kiss to the top of her head and his heart skips a beat when she snuggles even closer to him.Â
They sit in comfortable silence and Harry knows she is probably overthinking everything that happened tonight, not in the right way.
âEvie is amazing,â he says.
âYou think so?â
âYes. Absolutely. Thank you for letting me get to know her.â
She lifts her head and looks him in the eyes, thatâs when he sees the tears in hers.Â
âSo itâs not too much?â He takes her face in his hands and then kisses her gently.
âNothing about you will ever be too much, Y/N.â
She sighs in relief, as if sheâs been carrying a weight all along thatâs been lifted off her shoulders.Â
âDo you want to⊠stay the night?â she whispers against his lips.Â
âI would love to.â
âEven if Evie will barge into my room around six in the morning probably?â
âNow I want to stay even more,â he chuckles lightly.Â
***
Y/N wakes slowly and lazily, turning from one side to the other, her hand reaching out on the bed, looking for Harry, but she finds nothing, but the pillow he slept on. His absence wakes her more abruptly, searching for him with her eyes, but she sees no sight of him in the room. With a hammering heart she sits up and holds the sheets to her chest as her thoughts start racing, thinking about Harry sneaking out sometime in the middle of the night.Â
Her throat starts to close up as she spirals into the thought of another failed dating attempt, but this one hurts so much more than the previous ones, she trusted him⊠she loved him⊠yet he left her.Â
Then she hears Evieâs laughter, coming from downstairs. And another voice.Â
Harryâs.Â
She jumps out of bed and puts on her robe before rushing downstairs, finding her little girl in the kitchen with none other than Harry making⊠pancakes?
âMommy!â Evie cheers when she sees her, jumping off the stool she uses to reach the counter. She runs up to Y/N and hugs her tightly.
âHi Honey, whatâs going on?â she asks, but the question is addressed more to Harry rather than to Evie.
âWeâre making pancakes!â she answers with excitement.Â
âI hope itâs okay,â Harry adds shyly, holding the spatula in his hand. âShe came into the bedroom, but you didnât wake up so I thought⊠I could let you rest a bit more while we make breakfast.â
Itâs such a small gesture, but itâs been quite long since the last time someone did something for her. Being a single parent means doing everything herself and to be honest, her ex-husband wasnât much of a help around the house in the last year or so in their marriage.Â
This was Harryâs first time staying over and he already feels like part of their household.Â
As Evie climbs back onto the stool and starts stirring the pancake mixture Y/N canât stop herself from wrapping her arms around Harryâs waist and kissing him.Â
âItâs⊠more than okay. Itâs everything,â she whispers against his lips before stealing another quick kiss.Â
They finish making breakfast and then eat together. Then Y/N sends Evie to the bathroom to clean herself up while she and Harry clean the table.Â
âListen, I donât want you to feel like you have toââ she starts, but she is cut off quickly.
âLike I have to do all these extra things for you and Evie?â Harry asks with a tiny smirk as they start loading the washer. âFirst of all, I did nothing extra. This is pretty much the bare minimum, caring for others, sharing the tasks. This is what partners do.â She lets out an airy chuckle before he continues. âSecond⊠I would do anything for you. And Evie as well. I know I just met her, butâŠâ Taking a deep breath he straightens up and waits for Y/N to do the same. âI love you. Everything about you and everything thatâs part of you and Evie is part of you. She is wonderful and I know youâre afraid I might see her as a burden which comes from your experiences with assholes, but itâs not happening with me. Alright?â
âYou promise?â she asks in a whisper, tears dwelling in her eyes. He steps closer to her, taking her face between his palms.Â
âPromise,â he answers and kisses her softly.
âBy the way, I love you too,â she says with a small chuckle. âYeah, I heard your L bomb.â
âI did drop the L bomb, yeah,â he grins and just when he is about to go in for another kiss Evie runs out to them.
âIâm done! What are we doing today? Harry, are you staying?âÂ
âWell, do you want me to stay?â he asks, smiling down at her.
âYes!â
âThen,â he starts, turning his gaze back at Y/N. âYes. Iâm staying.â
Thank you for reading, please like and reblog if you enjoyed and buy me a coffee if you want to support me!
My Superhero
~ Cassian x SingleMum!Reader
My Beautiful Girls Series Masterlist
Based on this request
Summary: Your daughter calls Cassian dad for the first time.
Warnings: Fluffy goodness.
"Evie, baby? Isn't there something you wanted to ask Cassian?"
You look to your daughter, her round cheeks burning red at your question as she moved to hide behind you. Head shaking shyly as she tugged on your dress before quietly asking, "Can't you do it mama?"
Sighing, you made to give in, unable to argue with her begging stare. Yet Cassian spoke first, moving down onto one knee before he held his arms out to the timid girl, an encouraging smile crossing his lips as he softly prompted, "Come here Eves, I would love to here what you have to say."
Evelyn's wide-eyed gaze turned from Cassian back to you, your daughter seeking input as to what she should do next. "Go on baby," you coaxed, hand coming to meet the small of her back to gently push her in the male's direction, "you've got this."
You watched on with a smile as Evelyn nervously shuffled towards Cassian, her small hands coming to to meet the male's outstretched palms before he carefully pulled her into a loving cuddle. "That's more like it," the general grinned, lightly squeezing Evelyn's shoulders in comfort before he continued to speak, "now what does my darling baby girl have to ask me?"
Cheeks dusting pink at his words, Evelyn avoided Cassian's adoring gaze as she bashfully mumbled, "Will . . . will you come with me to school?" Cassian permissed his smile to remain as he briefly glanced at you for context, hand absentmindedly rubbing circles into Evelyn's back as he patiently waited for an answer.
"For career day" you clarified, eyes bright as you watched the scene before you, "Evie has to do a talk and she wants us both there to watch." Cassian's cheery eyes turned back to Evelyn, an exaggerated gasp leaving his lips before he earnestly replied, "I would love to come and watch you talk at school Eves."
Your daughter continued to blush, a timid smile working its way onto her lips before she quietly uttered a small thank you to the male. His hazel eyes watering, Cassian moved to place a gentle kiss onto Evelyn's forehead before he countered, "Thank you, little dove."
You beamed at the pair before you, heart full of love as you watched Cassian affectionately dote on your daughter. The general's loving gaze meeting your own as he beckoned you towards him with a motion of his head. Softly nudging Evelyn closer into his arms in order to free up some space as he whispered, "Budge over Eves, we've got to make some room for mama."
"Stop fidgeting Cassie, you look amazing" you reassured, moving your comforting hands to lace with his own clammy ones as you pulled them down from the collar he was continuously straightening. "You think so?" he anxiously asked, looking down in uncertainty at the shirt he had opted to wear for the occasion, "Maybe I should have worn my tunic instead."
You chuckled warmly, pulling the male to a stop before the entrance of the school. Tenderly giving his hands a loving squeeze before you spoke, "It's a school Cassian, not a palace." The general nodded along to your words, looking down at you with appreciation as you continued to ease his worries, "Evie doesn't care what you're wearing, she just cares that you're here."
"You're right, as always" Cassian gratefully smiled, lifting a gentle hand to cup your cheek as he placed a swift kiss upon your lips before pulling away to rest his forehead against your own. Hazel eyes flooding with determination as he confidently smirked, "All right then, let's go see our girl."
"Ah you must be Evelyn's . . ." the teacher's voice trailed off as she watched Cassian walk into the room behind you, eyes blowing wide as she took in the foreboding figure of the Lord of Bloodshed, "parents?"
"Oh uh, no I'm-"
"Yes we are" you finished before Cassian could get the words out, your thumb moving to caress the back of this hand as his surprised gaze fell to your nonchalant form. A low growl of contentment rumbled in his chest at the casualness of your answer, a possessive arm coming to wrap around your waist in order to pull you closer to his side.
"Uh wow, well. . ." still flustered by the general's appearance in her classroom, the teacher struggled to get her words out, "please d-do sit down!"
Thanking the female, Cassian made to eagerly lead you towards the front of the classroom. Yet your gentle tug pulled him to a stop, a sad smile crossing your lips as you explained, "Cassie, I think your wings may be a little too big to sit at the front."
"But Evie-"
"Will still see us, even if we are a little further back" you promised, Cassian's wings hanging lowly as you pulled him to sit at the back of the room. The astonished stares of the other parents following the two of you as you passed.
Once seated, Cassian craned his neck over the crowd of waiting parents. Eyes scanning the children stood at the front of the room as he searched for the one face he so longed to see, a beaming smile gracing his lips as they finally landed on Evelyn. Hand raised as he wildly waved at the little girl who blushed at his overenthusiastic greeting.
The pair of you sat in baited anticipation as you listened to the other children speak, your hand coming to rest on Cassian's thigh in a useless attempt of trying to stop his impatient shifting as you waited for Evelyn's turn to arrive.
When the time finally came for your daughter to timidly shuffle her way onto center stage, your encouraging thumbs up were overshadowed by Cassian's excitable shout of support.
Evelyn flashed the pair of you a grateful smile before she shakily exhaled, her hands nervously locking together as her worried eyes flickered to you for assurance. Softly nodding to her in comfort you mouthed, "You can do this baby."
Evelyn's once tense shoulders relaxed at your words, the young girl inhaling deeply before she finally began to speak, "The person I love most has the bestest job in the world" Cassian nudged as your shoulder as he sent you a cheery wink, brows wiggling comically as he reacted to Evelyn's mention of you.
Yet his smile didn't last for long, grin dropping at the next words your daughter spoke, "He is a superhero! He's big and strong and . . . and he always makes sure to keep our High Lord and High Lady safe."
A shaky gasp fell from Cassian's lips at the realization that Evelyn wasn't talking about you. His trembling hand darting to grasp onto yours for support as Evelyn continued to speak about him. Your little girl looking straight at the teary-eyed Illyrian as she did so, "But even though he gets very busy saving the world, my favourite thing is how he always makes time to play with me when he comes home, even when he is very tired.â
A soft sob broke from Cassian's mouth at her words, the male sniffling as he made no attempt to hide the downpour of emotion that had washed over him. His watery eyes shining with love as they never strayed from Evelyn for even a moment.
"He fights all the monsters under my bed and in my wardrobe and he always makes sure to kiss all of my boo boo's. But most i- imporan- importantly he always shows me and my mummy how much he loves us. So even though he is the bestest superhero in the world, I love it even more when he is just my dad."
When she finished, Cassian was too stunned to react. The sound of his cries being drowned out by that of the other parent's applause. With all the speeches now finished, Evelyn eagerly ran over to greet the two of you, only for her smile to drop upon seeing Cassian in tears.
âWhatâs wrong baby?â You asked in concern, a comforting hand coming to rest on her shoulder, âItâs alright, you did so well Eves.â
Yet Evelyn wasnât looking at you, her disappointed eyes stayed locked on Cassian.
"You . . . you didn't like it?" Evelyn asked weakly, silver tears beginning to line her eyes at the sight of the weeping Illyrian.
"Like it?" Cassian answered, moving to sweep Evelyn into his arms, "No baby girl, I loved it." The general proceeded to cry further as Evelyn stretched out her little hands to wipe away his falling tears, her face considerably more cheerful now she knew she hadn't upset the male.
"Mummy helped me write it . . . I just wanted everybody in school to know that my daddy is a superhero!"
Cassian's shoulders shook as he cried, his hand moving to pull Evelyn's head to his chest as he embraced the smiling girl. Lips pressing against her head in a gentle kiss as he replied, "Being a superhero is fun, little dove. But being your daddy is my favourite job."
Summary: It's the couple's first holiday with their toddler, but things don't exactly go to plan when their daughter becomes ill. And they run into a few rude people at the airport.
Enjoy.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A sigh burned past (Y/n)'s lips and she closed her eyes, tilting her head back as if looking towards the sky to give her strength.
Her right hand moved to cradle the back of Evie's head while she tilted her chest back so the toddler was leaning into her. She bent her knees and started swaying her little girl from left to right, moving her up and down to calm her down and try to cease her cries.
It didn't work.
The toddler sniffed before she let out another wail into (Y/n)'s neck. Her hands batted up and down against (Y/n)'s chest and shoulder and she started swaying her legs as she howled. Bubbling, sniffling cries wailed past Evie's lips as tears drenched her face and her skin started to burn from how overworked she was making herself.
"Baby, shh come on it's okay-"
"I want daddy!" Her little voice turned into a screech and she sniffed at least five times to draw in a deep enough breath so that she could let out another cry.
"I know, I know baby and he won't be long, the boys are coming." (Y/n) leaned her cheek on top of Evie's head and continued to sway, trying to shush her.
She had moved to stand near the drinks bar to be hidden in the shade and be out the way of the other people. The last thing everyone nearby needed was to listen to Evie screaming her little head off.
The two year old wasn't feeling well today.
This was her first time abroad. They were used to taking Chris away on holiday at least once a year but the last two years hadn't gone to plan. (Y/n) had been pregnant on their last holiday and she hadn't felt very well. And they skipped going abroad last year because Evie was only a baby and it would have been too much for them all.
Now she was two, they thought she would enjoy going abroad. She hadn't liked the airport, at all. And the plane ride had been long and tiring for her, but she had done well. But their two week holiday had been a right mixture since Evie had gotten sick.
The temperature change didn't sit well with her, the newfound heat had made her sick for the first few days. Then when they thought she was getting better, they went out for a walk round and the heat made her pass out. To top it off, for the last two days Evie had been sick and when she was sick, she wanted to be held, cuddled and carried by either one of her dads.
It was their last day today because tomorrow dinnertime they would be heading back to the airport to head home. But their holiday had been fun and exciting despite Evie not feeling her best, and it had been great for them to spend two full weeks together as a family.
"Shh, baby, okay." (Y/n) murmured into the top of her head as she continued to sway from side to side.
With it being their last day and a small amusement park being over the road, Eddie and Evan had taken Chris to go on the rides. It wasn't (Y/n)'s sort of thing and Evie wasn't well enough to go on the baby rides or to watch the boys like she normally would. She would of been fine wandering round with some sweets and a drink, but not today when she was feeling unwell.
So they decided the boys would go on the amusements and (Y/n) had taken Evie in the soft play area in their hotel and then to the toy shop.
"Here they are, look. Who's that?"
Evie lifted her head from (Y/n)'s shoulder, still sniffing and whimpering while she looked around for her dads and her brother.
The boys had got back from the amusements twenty minutes ago and they had gone to get changed into their swim gear since they all wanted one more dip in the hotel pool. The pool was massive. And the cold water would do Evie the world of good, it had made her feel better every other day they spent in here.
"Found them!" Chris pulled on Evan's hand and pointed ahead to where (Y/n) was stood cradling Evie, leaning back against the bar.
Chris was wearing his aqua blue swim trunks with sharks dotted all over them and he had already taken his glasses off and put them in the bag Eddie was carrying, full of their change of clothes and towels. He practically dragged Evan over until they got towards (Y/n).
A tender smile flooded (Y/n)'s face as she looked over her boys. Chris was jumping up and down, desperate to get in the pool already. It had been hard to get the kids out the pool these past two weeks whenever they came down here.
The outdoor pool was spaceous. There was a shallow end with fountains and a little lookout tower for little kids. There was a deeper end for adults, at the far back there were a few slides. Two hot tubs were at the back and all around the pool was a rapid river with currents for people to cruise along in with floats and rubber rings.
(Y/n) dragged her eyes across Evan and Eddie who looked like the sun and the moon. Evan was wearing white and blue striped swim trunks, showing off all the tattoos glittered around his arms and his torso. Including (Y/n)'s favourite which was Evangeline in large italics beneath his collar bone with Evie's footprints stamped beneath her name in purple ink from when she was born.
And she noticed Evan was wearing his knee brace. The amount of walking, swimming and running they had done on this holiday was enough to aggravate his scarred leg so he had brought his brace along. It was waterproof and the tight tension stopped him from limping.
Then there was Eddie. Grey cargo-like trunks with large baggy pockets and blinding white draw strings through the middle. His hair was spiked up, his black sunglasses were perched on his nose and (Y/n)'s eyes found her favourite tattoo on Eddie's skin.
He had Chris and Evie's date of births in a scroll on the lower left side of his abs.
"Looking good," Evan murmured while he let his eyes wander all over (Y/n)'s frame.
It didn't matter how many times he and Eddie had seen her in her swimsuit this week. It was their new favourite. A low cut, strapless strawberry red suit with little white hearts dotted all over.
(Y/n) tilted her head back so she could peck Evan's lips before she took a step closer to Eddie with her arms outstretched. "Thank God. She won't settle for me, she's been screaming for you."
"For me? Aw, baby girl."
They reached out and did a swap. (Y/n) took the bag from Eddie's shoulder while he carefully scooped Evie up from her and turned her around so she was facing him. He saw the light sparkle in her little eyes when she realised who it was that now had hold of her. He was a little surprised she was crying out for him when Evan had been the one who had slept with her on his chest last night instead of leaving her coughing and sulking in the crib.
As soon as she was bundled up against his bare chest, Evie stopped crying. She turned to little gasps and sniffs and deadlocked her arms around Eddie's neck. Her nose brushed up against his neck and made him shiver while she curled up against him.
She looked a little cutie, despite the snot and tears drenching her face and the heat radiating off of her. Evie's hair was gathered up in a scrunchie and she was wearing her navy blue Fireman Sam swim costume because she thought it was both her dad's in cartoon form.
"How's she been?" Evan curved his free arm around (Y/n)'s waist and let Chris lead them towards the pool.
"Well, she's not been sick and she found a new firetruck in the toy shop which will be in the cot with her tonight, I'll bet."
It had been no secret at the station that Evan held it over Eddie's head that Evie preferred the fire truck to the ambulance. They got her a few toys of each because she was always at the station to see the team and her family. But she loved the fire truck. It didn't matter when Eddie told her about the ambulance or that he drove the ambulance whereas Evan rarely drove the truck.
And when they went to the toy store and she saw a fire truck that was just the right size for Evie to hold and cuddle like it was a teddy, the toddler wouldn't let it go.
(Y/n) had a gut feeling that when they got back to the room, Evie wouldn't let the truck out of her sight. She would fall asleep with it.
"That's our girl."
"You're burning, baby girl." Eddie spoke quietly against the top of her head while he smoothed his hand up and down her back. "Let's get you in that pool, hm?"
"Hot," Evie murmured while she drooled on Eddie's chest. She was a lot calmer now she was in his arms and she was panting from how badly she had been crying.
"I know, poorly baby." Eddie cooed with his lips against her temple and he shivered when he stepped into the pool. The contrast of freezing cold water lapping at his heels and the burning hot toddler on his chest sent his heart into a frenzy and made him shiver.
He followed after his partners, grinning when Chris flopped down onto his stomach and started crawling and shimmying further into the water.
When the water rose to his knees, Eddie slowly lowered himself down until he was sat down in the shallow end. He stretched his legs out into the water and gently lowered Evie down until she was sat on his lap with the water up to her tummy. A smile pulled at Eddie's lips when Evie shivered and gasped but the cold water seemed to make her feel better instantly.
She splashed her hands out at her sides and hit the water around Eddie's knees.
"Happy now, baby?" He whispered softly when Evie slouched down against him so her chest was submerged in the water. Her head pressed back into his abdomen and she grinned a toothy smile up at him as she began to kick her legs out and swatted him in the thighs.
After a few minutes, Eddie gently moved his hands beneath Evie's back and her head so she was laid floating up in the water. He weaved her through the water as she squealed, kicking her legs and flapping her arms while Eddie started to move more towards the middle of the pool towards his partners.
"Hey, pretty baby." Evan kissed the top of Evie's head before he leaned over to steal a kiss from Eddie.
He had his arms wrapped around (Y/n) and moved his chin back to perch on (Y/n)'s shoulder while Chris began swimming at their side. He swayed them from side to side before he leaned back in the water and pulled (Y/n) so she was laid between his thighs in the water.
(Y/n) let her head flop back onto Evan's shoulder and she attached her lips to the side of his neck, feeling his chest vibrate with a growl. Both their heads turned to the right when they heard Chris.
"Pops! Pops, floats." He was already swimming off to the side, trying to point and swim at the same time towards the large donut ring floats he could see that no one had grabbed yet. There weren't many of them around and they usually had to wait a while to find one around the pool.
"She stays with you two if we get those." (Y/n) gave a warning look between the boys and shook her head when she saw them grin.
When they came in the pool the other day and finally got four floats for them all, (Y/n) had sat Evie on her lap in one. It had been a mistake when Evie thought she was about to fall off and scrambled to hold onto (Y/n), whose swimsuit was strapless. She almost dragged (Y/n)'s suit down her chest if Evan hadn't reached out in time to swoop Evie up.
"Yeah, no flashing." Evan murmured in her ear and tightened his arms around (Y/n)'s waist while his hands travelled up to her chest. He gave her a squeeze and pressed a kiss to the side of her head before he detangled himself from her and swam over to Chris to help him.
"Are we gonna go on the rapids, baby?"
Eddie gently lifted Evie up from the water and settled her down on his chest. He felt her hands splash down on his shoulders and she nuzzled her face into his chest. He was relieved to see she was starting to cool down but he didn't want to think of the tantrum she was going to have when they eventually had to get out the pool.
"There's only three, who's bunking up?" Evan had one float hooked over each shoulder while Chris was slumped over the third one. Kicking his legs out at Evan to get towards the sectioned off water where there were currents and buckets that tipped water across them.
"Me and mum." Chris answered before any of them had the chance to say anything.
He grinned when (Y/n) ruffled his damp curls and kissed his temple before she held onto the float and steered it in the right direction so Chris didn't have to.
"Alright, in you go."
Evan held the float steady while (Y/n) dipped under the water and climbed up into the float. She secured her legs over either side and smiled brightly when Chris scrambled up too. He sat on the opposite end with his legs strewn over (Y/n)'s lap and his hands reached out to hold hers while Evan gave them a nudge into the water.
(Y/n) slouched down a little move and splashed her feet in the water over the side of the float while Chris used the wall to push them further ahead into the current. She could see Eddie following just behind them, sat like a royal with Evie curled up on his chest. She had her head tucked just beneath his chin, her hands patting his chest and her legs coiled up on his stomach.
He leaned his head back, soaking up the sun while his hand smoothed up and down Evie's back.
"Alright back there, loner?" Eddie tilted his head a bit further back, making sure he didn't tip the float over, so he could look behind him at Evan. He saw the way Evan pretended to laugh and stuck a middle finger up at him.
Eddie used his foot to kick the wall on the right and it spun the float round so he and Evie were facing backwards. Not that Evie cared right now, she was so settled he wondered if she was going to go to sleep.
"Oh no," He muttered and leaned forward, pressing his lips to the top of Evie's head as his arms curved around her tighter when he noticed the water buckets up ahead. (Y/n) and Chris sailed through them, but Eddie could see they were about to tip and pour water onto him. If Evie got splashed in the face she would scream. The chlorine stung her eyes and she couldn't handle water in her ears.
A groan spluttered past his lips when the water crashed down on the back of his neck and soaked through his hair and all across his shoulders.
"Daddy!" Evie wriggled against him, managing a little smile when she realised Eddie was soaked but she had remained mostly dry, at least her head did. He smiled down at her and shook his head whilst trying to keep his glasses perched on his nose.
When he heard the others laughing, Eddie took a calculated look around to see who was closest to them. It happened to be Evan who was only a foot away.
With a little strain, Eddie stretched his leg out towards Evan's float and gave it a swift kick. But his jaw dropped and a quiet 'ooh shit' passed Eddie's lips when he kicked the float a little too harshly.
Evan toppled out.
"Eddie!" (Y/n) pressed a hand to her mouth and tried not to laugh, but she could already see Chris tossing his head back with a cackle. Poor Evan flipped backwards and dunked under the water. "Go, go." She whispered to Chris, helping him reach for the wall and propell their float further down the river stream towards the people ahead of them. They needed to get away before Evan tried to retaliate and get his own back.
Eddie had to admit Evan looked rather fetching when he broke through the water. His curls stuck to his forehead, water cascaded off the end of his nose and dripped down his lips that were a very dark shade of red. He was panting for breath and his shoulders were hunched up, tensing and morphing the tattoos across his body.
"You little-"
"No, no! Hey, I've got the baby- I've got the baby don't you dare!" He curled his hands around Evie and shuffled her a little higher up his chest so her chin was perched on his shoulder. Although his lips morphed into an open-mouthed grin as he tried to move their float to get away.
Evan couldn't tip him over or splash him or pull him from the float because he had Evie in his arms. If she went under the water she would scream and flap about and cause a scene. He would have to wait until Eddie didn't have Evie in his arms if he wanted payback.
"I'm sorry babe."
***
Leaning forward, (Y/n) pressed her temple into Evan's back and closed her eyes for a few seconds. She could feel herself smiling when he reached behind to hold her hip and give her a gentle squeeze.
She reached her right hand out and smoothed her hand up and down Evan's waist while her left hand juggled Evie and moved the toddler a bit higher up onto her chest. She could feel Evie drooling into her shoulder and the little pants she let out told (Y/n) she was barely awake. That's what they wanted. They wanted Evie tired and subdued so they could get through customs and get on the plane without a fuss.
The temperature change from the boiling heat outside to the chilled aircon in the airport had made Evie cry and feel ill. And it wasn't doing (Y/n) any favours either.
"Are we nearly there?" (Y/n) didn't bother lifting her head from Evan's back. It was a comfort to feel his tense back in front of her and to breathe into his shirt and inhale his scent.
It felt like they had been queuing in this line for hours. They were going to miss their flight if they waited much longer. All it was was a bag check and a scanner to make sure they weren't bringing anything back or taking a bomb onto the plane. They hardly had to queue back home when they were at the start of their holiday. Now it was the end, things were dragging out.
"Yep, just about."
Evan gave her hip another squeeze while he leaned forward and perched his chin on Eddie's shoulder to look at the queue. They were just about at the scanner. Finally.
When Eddie started to get plastic tubs for him and Chris to put their things into, Evan leaned forward and grabbed one for himself and one for (Y/n). He dumped his bag into the box and took out the electronics, smiling to himself that (Y/n) was still cosied up against his back. And he could feel Evie snuggled between them too.
He felt (Y/n) press a kiss between his shoulder blades before she reluctantly pulled away, but she still stood close to him.
She struggled to keep Evie in one arm and take off her bag and sling it into the tray Evan had placed down for her. They had another few feet to go before they would be in the scanner, so (Y/n) wasn't in a hurry to take off her shoes or unpack the electronics from her bag.
Her breath hitched in her throat and she tensed up when she felt a shoulder nudge into her back.
Great. She had a pushy couple behind her.
Moving her hand to cradle the back of Evie's head, (Y/n) cuddled her daughter closer and took a step closer to Evan until she was practically meshed up against his back. She didn't want to be stood close to strangers, it was why they had walked around the airport with (Y/n) in between the boys while she carried Evie. So no one else would get close.
A gasp tumbled from her lips and she pushed up against Evan when the man behind her leaned over her.
She could feel his chest press into her back when he roughly leaned over her shoulder to grab a tray for his own items. He wasn't even next to the bag scanner yet and he was trying to get ready. It wouldn't make the queue speed up or make (Y/n) move any faster, she could only go as fast as everyone else.
She shivered and tilted her head up when Evan turned. He glanced over his shoulder and looked down at (Y/n) first, but she saw something burn in his eyes when he realised why she had stumbled into him.
"It's okay." (Y/n) muttered quietly and reached out to give Evan's bicep a light squeeze.
The man behind her had grabbed a tray but he was back to waiting in line behind them now. (Y/n) didn't want Evan to start a fight, not so close to the security guards in case they caused a scene or got delayed. They couldn't miss this flight when their luggage was already boarding the plane and they all wanted to get home.
She watched Evan huff and lock his jaw tight and his gaze burned into the couple behind them before he turned back round. He busied himself snapping his belt from his trousers and dumping it in the tray along with his shoes.
And he stayed tense and straight while (Y/n) held his arm and leaned into his back so she could slip off her shoes and put them in the tray.
(Y/n) took to humming while she rested her lips against Evie's temple and gently rocked her from side to side. She stayed close to Evan and shuffled forward with him while he took her tray and placed it on the conveyer belt on their right.
"Oh!"
(Y/n)'s arms tightened around Evie and she snapped her eyes closed when the man behind her pushed her once again. Only this time, with a little more force and (Y/n) was sure he'd done that on purpose to make her move.
Her elbow clattered against the conveyer belt and her head bashed into the back of Evan's arm. But it was Evie's cry that made her wince. Poor Evie slammed into Evan's back too and got squished between both parents. The abrupt motion woke her up immediately and she began to whimper, wondering what was going on.
"Do you mind?" Evan's voice snapped through the air like the jaws of a crocodile.
His hands were desperate to curl into fists but he refrained and moved both hands to hold (Y/n)'s arms when he turned round. He kept her and Evie tucked into his chest while his eyes bore down into the short but stocky man stood behind his girls.
He didn't react when he felt Eddie's hand on his waist, trying to see around him to find out what was wrong.
"What?"
"You've just pushed my partner and she's clearly got a child in her arms. Why don't you try being careful?" He looked down and moved his hand to indicate to Evie who was whimpering in (Y/n)'s arms.
When he didn't get an answer or even an apologetic look, Evan sighed. He moved his hands down from (Y/n)'s arms to hold her hips and turned them round so she was in front of him. Keeping both his girls wedged between him and Eddie so they were safe from another stumble.
He could see Eddie giving him a certain look, telling him to leave it at that, but Evan couldn't help himself. He turned to look over his shoulder and stared down at the stranger who was glaring daggers through him.
"Push me, pal. See what happens."
It was a dare more than a threat, but it did the trick because when Evan turned around, he could feel two feet of space between him and the stranger. He didn't want to take the risk and find out.
***
"Shh, good girl, there we go." Eddie pressed his lips to the top of Evie's head and rubbed his hand slowly up and down her back.
He could feel her snotting and whimpering into his neck while her hands fisted in his shirt and pulled it to her chest. She hadn't been best pleased when Eddie told her he couldn't take it off on the plane. Throughout their holiday she had been used to cuddling up to Eddie and Evan without their shirts on. She liked the skin contact.
If he could of snuggled Evie under his shirt, he would have.
He sat up straighter in his chair and gently swayed Evie up and down on his chest as she continued to whimper quietly. She didn't feel well, and the turbulence frightened her. Eddie was surprised she hadn't been sick yet, but then again, she threw up just before they got on the plane.
"Wanna go sit with mum and papa for a while?" He spoke against her temple before he glanced over at Chris who was sat on his right and was finally happy playing a game.
Chris hadn't been happy that they weren't all sitting together. On their first flight at the start of the holiday, the four of them all had seats together at the very back of the plane. Chris had sat next to Evan and only a small aisle separated them from (Y/n) and Eddie while they passed Evie between them throughout the flight.
This time, Chris and Eddie were in the middle row while Evan and (Y/n) were a row in front on the left row. So Chris couldn't lean over and see them properly whereas Eddie had to lean over the aisle and strain his neck to get Evan's attention.
It wasn't ideal, but at least they were paired up.
When Evie murmured into his neck, Eddie slowly stood up in the cramped space and shifted onto the aisle on his left. He took three steps forward and leaned his hips against Evan's seat.
He could see (Y/n) was half awake with her head slumped on Evan's shoulder and an arm bound around her waist. She didn't feel well. Whereas Evan was slouched down with his legs stretched out in the aisle. He and Eddie didn't exactly fit in the seats properly which was why they both sat on the aisle seats so they could stretch out.
"You sitting with us, baby?" Evan reached his arms up and eased Evie down onto his lap. He smiled when Eddie gave his shoulder a squeeze and pecked his temple, whispering a quiet 'thank you' before he headed back over to Chris.
(Y/n) smiled tiredly, keeping her right hand curled around Evan's bicep while she moved her left hand to rub up and down Evie's back.
She closed her eyes and shuffled down in her seat, curling more into Evan until she was almost sitting on his lap along with Evie. (Y/n) didn't like sitting next to strangers. It was a Godsend that the arm rests folded up so (Y/n) could shuffle closer to Evan. She had nothing against the elder man sat next to her, but (Y/n) would rather cuddle up into one of her partners than be close to a stranger.
And it wasn't as if Evan could comfortably sit- or even fit- in the middle seat which was why he and Eddie were on the end seats.
"Wanna watch a movie?" Evan looked down at Evie with a smile, but she shook her head and whimpered. She didn't have the attention span for a movie, she didn't feel well and she didn't know what to do with herself.
She stayed perched on his lap with her eyes fixated on Evan's arm. He had his right arm around her waist to keep her settled on his lap while his left arm stayed between him and (Y/n). Right where Evie could see and start to glide her fingertips across his tattoos to keep herself occupied.
Evan started to jitter his leg up and down which made Evie smile, if only for a few seconds. Her chin tilted down into her chest and she messed around with his arm which made Evan grin, he loved the sensation when either Chris or Evie started to draw patterns on his skin or trace his tattoos. He watched her contently for a few minutes while (Y/n) closed her eyes and tried to ward off the sickness she felt.
But (Y/n)'s eyes snapped open and Evan's smile faded when the seat in front of him moved.
Whoever was sitting in front tried twice to recline his chair, but it wouldn't go back any further. The way he bashed his frame into the chair caused it to jolt into Evie's back. It wasn't enough to hurt her, but it was enough to scare her into crying out and her big doe eyes looked up at Evan in fright.
"PapaâŠ"
"S'alright, come here, look."
Evan moved his hands to Evie's sides and gently lifted her up from his lap so he could lean her on his chest instead. She rested her cheek on his shoulder and looped her arms around his neck, bending her knees into his stomach. He looped one arm around the back of her legs and ran his other hand up and down her back in slow circles.
They could just have a cuddle for a while until Evie fell asleep or settled enough to watch a movie or listen to some music.
(Y/n) dug both hands into Evan's bicep and meshed her face into his shoulder, holding her breath when the plane shuddered. She could feel the turbulence rocketing through to her heart and her throat tightened when it felt like the plane was going to drop down out of the sky.
A shudder ran through Evan's neck and he winced when Evie screamed. She wasn't as frightened as Evan thought she would be since this was their first time taking her on holiday and on a plane. But they all knew any turbulence was going to frighten her. She didn't understand what was happening.
Her nails scratched Evan's neck and she scrambled to press further into him as if she thought she could mesh herself into his chest, somehow.
A loud wail left her lips and she began to cry, breaking off every few seconds to scream when the plane gave another jolt to the left or rickoted up and down.
"Shh, baby shh it's okay, you're okay." Evan smothered his lips against Evie's cheek and moved his hand up and down her back while he rocked her back and forth. He could feel her little body trembling against him and it made him want to cry. But he was glad she was sat with him. Eddie was a good flyer, but he didn't like turbulence either. Eddie would be sat stiff in his seat right now, praying for a smooth flight.
When the plane finally levelled out, Evan glanced down at (Y/n). She had stopped shaking too but she didn't lift her head from his shoulder. He didn't mind.
His lips stayed meshed with Evie's cheek and he continued to hum and shush her while leaning from left to right to see if it would help. But his eyes locked with the man sitting in the window seat beside (Y/n). He thought for a moment that the man was going to tut or roll his eyes, but instead, he just smiled.
"You good?" Evan looked down at (Y/n) when she lifted her face from his shoulder so she could rest her cheek on his arm instead. She nodded, but he could see she was uneasy and she still looked sick.
The plane shook again, but it was only a little tremor this time.
"Alright, you're okay baby." He murmured again into Evie's cheek as she continued to whimper into his neck.
But Evan's attention diverted to the chair in front when the man slammed back in his seat again. It was as if he thought bashing around in his chair would somehow make it recline further but if that happened he would be laying on Evan's lap. He gave it another shove with a loud grumble that made (Y/n) open her eyes to see what was going on.
"Oh for fuck's sake."
The stranger's loud remark made (Y/n)'s stomach churn and she darted her eyes up to look at Evan.
Another round of expletives left his lips in a mixture of 'fucking plane' and 'bloody stupid' amongst other things. When he either hit his chair or slammed his elbow back into it, both (Y/n) and Evie quivered.
What was he doing? Was he desperate for a power nap so early into the evening like this?
When he swore again, Evie lifted her head from Evan's neck and looked up at him. She knew those were bad words but she didn't know who was saying them or who was getting angry. The panic was written across her face as her eyes creased and a cry tumbled past her lips as she looked at Evan in fear.
Evan coiled his left arm around Evie to keep her stood up on his thighs with her body slumped against his chest. He smoothed his hand up and down her hip as she wrapped her arms back around his neck and began crying into his shoulder. Even with (Y/n) leaning into her and cuddling her, Evie continued to shake.
"Stop." Reaching forward, Evan planted his right palm flat against the chair in front and gave it enough of a shove that the man jolted forward.
"What are you doing?"
The man leaned around the side of his chair so he could look behind him at Evan. The disgusted look on his face made Evan arch a brow and curl his lips in anger. He didn't look much older than Evan, late thirties, early forties at a push. But the anger and frown lines on his face could have aged him ten years.
"Your swearing and mouthing off is upsetting my daughter. Give it a rest please." Evan sighed through his words while he leaned his chin on his right hand and stared blankly at the man in front of him.
He wouldn't sit here and continue to let this stranger mouth off and frighten Evie when she wasn't well and she was already petrified of being on a plane.
And surely this man's disruptive behaviour was irritating or upsetting a few other people on the plane, not just them.
Eddie leaned to the left with his elbow on the arm rest and his head tilted up so he could look down the aisle. He knew Evan's voice, he could recognise his boyfriend's voice a mile away and he knew that tone. Evan was both losing his patience and getting worried at the same time and that was never good. Eddie could feel his stomach flooding with adrenaline as he watched the man in front of Evan leer at him and look him up and down with scrutinising eyes.
"I thought that was his kid?" The moment those words passed through the stranger's lips and he pointed towards the back of the plane in Eddie's direction, that was it.
"Stay here." Eddie whispered firmly to Chris as he got up and thundered down the aisle. He barely stood beside Evan before the stranger started again.
"And she's not exactly quiet, is she? Screaming her fucking head off since we took off."
(Y/n) took a deep breath and kept both arms coiled tightly around Evan's arm when he looked like he was about to get up. He couldn't retaliate when Evie was whimpering in his arms. The toddler could sense an argument was about to break out and it was frightening her.
But when (Y/n) looked up and realised Eddie was already hovering beside them like a dark omen, she bit her lip.
Her heart thundered in her chest when Eddie roughly grabbed the back of the man's seat and gave it a harsh shove to get his attention. His fingers were almost ripping through the material as Eddie leaned on the chair and leaned down until he was level with the man in front of him.
"I don't know who you think you are, but if you talk about our daughter like that again, you'll be flying home with the air rescue."
Eddie didn't care one bit who this man was or who he thought he was. He had no right to talk to any of them like that or speak about Evie as if she was some silly teenager playing up on purpose. She was a toddler, she was only two years old. How could this man sit there and honestly expect her to be quiet or calm or happy when she was petrified?
"Listen mate, I-"
"No, you're gonna listen to me now. She's a sick little child who's frightened, you're just a prick with an attitude. Show some respect or prepare to be taught a lesson."
Eddie's callous voice and his intensifying gaze had the man stunned to silence. It was very clear what Eddie was saying. If he didn't stop being so disrespectful, Eddie would punch him. He would start and end a fight right here on this plane and he didn't care if they had to make an emergency landing in order to do that.
He wouldn't have someone talking to his family like that and upsetting his daughter.
Eddie took such a deep breath he felt like he was going to pass out. He straightened up until his head was almost touching the roof and he watched as the stranger sank down in his chair and turned to look at the screen in front of him. He wasn't giving Eddie the satisfaction of seeing his embarrassed, frightened expression.
A tender smile pulled at (Y/n)'s lips as she looked between her boys. "Maybe you two should switch seats⊠keep the kids out the way?"
It seemed a safer option for Evie to be back with Chris two rows behind so she wasn't near that man. She was now petrified. The toddler was trembling against Evan and whimpering quietly into his neck. Sitting here so close to the man that shouted at them was only going to frighten her even more. And she was still attached to Evan at the moment.
It would be better if Evan sat with Chris and made sure the kids were okay. And that meant Eddie could sit directly behind the person he had just threatened and keep an eye on him.
"Come on baby girl," Evan kept Evie close to his chest and pecked (Y/n)'s temple before he got up.
He smiled when he felt Eddie's hand on his lower back and a soft kiss against the side of his neck while they weaved around each other to switch places. Evan made a slow walk over to Eddie's seat where Chris was leaning to get a look at the action, grinning around his thumb that he was biting down on.
And Eddie swung round and flopped into Evan's vacant seat, slouching down so his knees pressed into the chair in front. His left hand instinctively curled around (Y/n)'s upper thigh while he scrunched his right hand into a fist and rested his chin on his hand.
He turned his head to the left and looked at (Y/n) with an arched brow and quirked lips. He watched her lean over until her chest was pressed up against his bicep and her hand fell on his chest that was rising and falling rapidly like he had just run a marathon.
Her lips pressed a kiss to the soft spot behind his ear that had him shivering and gripping her thigh harder.
"Well done, babe."

Accepting the Bond*
Azriel x Rhysand's Sister!OC
AN: This is a snippet from my Stargirl fanfiction. OC is Rhysand's sister, and she's accepting the mating bond with Azriel.

Word Count: 2.3k
â§ÍâșË*àŒâŸăăâœàŒïœ„*Ëâșâ§Í
   Rhys got everybody out of the house early the next day, and I got to work on dinner. Steak, mashed potatoes, asparagus, and roasted carrots, plus a nice dessert of chocolate torte. It was the first real meal he had ever had. The first meal my mother had made for him when he came to live with us.
   Through the years, he would ask for it on every birthday. My mother and I would make it together.
    When I had finished cooking and baking the dessert, I set it all out on the table. I lit a few candles, and put a vase of flowers in the center.
   I took a deep breath, studying my work, then sent the okay to my brother's mind. Nerves settled in my stomach.
   I was wearing a cobalt blue dress, one that sparkled in the light. The bodice was tight to my skin, and the sleeves were sheer and loose. The skirt was loose, but didn't poof out too far. There was a slit in the skirt up my thigh. Underneath, I was wearing a blue set of lingerie that Mor had gone shopping for with me.
   After a few moments, the door opened. He must have winnowed to get here so fast. I took a grounding breath, trying to calm my heart rate.
   When he entered the room, I could feel the string in my chest go taut. He looked more handsome than I'd ever seen him. His curls were tamed, but still perfect. And his eyes . . . I'd always loved those hazel eyes. He wore a lovely suit, which made me think Rhys had instructed him to dress nicely. That likely gave me away. His shadows clung to him, but a few swirled over to me.Â
"Hi, Azzy," I greeted quietly, a soft smile on my face.
"You . . . you look . . . " he was at a loss of words as he took me in, his eyes looking me up and down, then studying my face. "Breathtaking." The word was barely a whisper. A blush tinted my cheeks.
"Thank you," I uttered. "You look quite handsome, yourself." He glanced down at the table, looking at the food.
"Does this mean--"
"I accept the bond," I cut him off. "Yes."
   An expression of disbelief twisted his features for only a second, before tears began welling in his hazel eyes.
   He rushed towards me, and I could only laugh as he scooped me up and spun me around. I clutched onto him, squeezing him tight. When he set me back on the ground, I planted a kiss on his lips. He held my face in his hands, kissing me back.Â
   When he pulled away, he got to his knees in front of me, hands gripping the backs of my thighs. I reached out, running my hand through his curls, and wiping his tears with the other.
"Evie, I swear I will never lie to you again. And I will never, ever, keep anything from you," he promised me. "And I swear to protect and love you for the rest of our lives. I will never let anyone lay a violent hand on you ever again."
   The thought of being protected and loved by him, forever, made my heart leap in my chest. To be with someone that I trusted--that I loved. It seemed too good to be true.
   Tears began to sprout in my own eyes as I stared down at my beautiful mate. He got to his feet, and held me close, kissing the tears away from my eyes. His shadows twisted around me, doting on me in excitement.
"Shall we eat?" I asked him. He nodded, smiling as he sat down at the table.
   I took his plate and shoveled some food onto it, then filled a glass of wine for him. I set it in front of him and sat across from him, serving myself next.
   The two of us ate in a comfortable silence, one of his hands reaching across the table to rest on top of mine. We seemed to be eating fast so that we could get upstairs sooner than later.
   But we ate dessert, nonetheless. The chocolate torte I made was absolutely delicious, if I did say so myself. It reminded me of my mother's. Though, I had followed her recipe.
   When we were done, I got to my feet and sat myself onto his lap, kissing him again. His tongue slipped into my mouth, massaging my own. One of his hands traveled down to grope my breast, and I moaned into his mouth.
   I whined as he pulled away, brushing my hair out of my face. I had wanted him for a very long time, but right now, it felt as though I needed him. If I didn't have him right now, I would die.
"Let's go upstairs," he suggested.
   I nodded eagerly, squealing as he got to his feet with me still in his arms, carrying me bridal style. I wrapped my wings tight around myself as he carried me up the stairs.
   He dropped me onto his silk, deep blue sheets, and climbed on top of me, his lips finding my neck. I moaned, my hands intertwining with his curls as he sucked, bit, and kissed up the tender skin. His shadows settled around me, stroking different parts of my body.
"I love you so much," I whimpered as he absolutely ravaged me. He pulled back, hovering above me, his eyes meeting mine.
"I love you, too," he whispered. "My beautiful mate." His lips met mine again.
   I began clawing at his shirt, trying to undo the buttons around his wings, but struggling. Eventually, I huffed in frustration against his lips, and used my magic to make his shirt disappear. His hand began trailing up the inside of my thigh, and I gasped, my back arching.
    I sat up so he could unzip the back of my dress. I lifted my hips so that he could pull it off of me, leaving me in the lingerie set that I had bought. His pupils were blown from arousal as he took me in.
"You look so gorgeous in my color," he grunted, eyes trailing up and down my body.
"Is this your color?" I teased with a smirk. "I just bought it because I thought it was pretty."
   He snarled, clearly not in the mood for my taunts, and yanked the bra of the set off to reveal my breasts. His finger circled my nipple, making my back arch off of the bed as I whined.
"No whining," he reminded me. He'd always hated my whining, even when we were kids.
   He leaned down, his lips closing around the nipple. I gasped as he licked and sucked at it, his hand groping and kneading my other breast. A few shadows whirled around the delicate skin.
"Az," I sighed in pleasure, squeezing my eyes shut. He glanced up at me, a smirk on his lips. His hand trailed down my side, resting on my hip. I bucked my hips desperately, letting him know exactly where I wanted him.
"Use your words, my love," he instructed.
"Please touch me, Az," I begged, my words a hushed whisper.
"Good girl," he praised, the words sparking more arousal through me. He smirked as he sensed it. "You like being praised?" I nodded, whimpering as he began circling my nipple again. "I'll remember that."
   His scarred finger began trailing up and down my core, over the lingerie. I gasped, throwing my head back at the sensation. I couldn't remember the last time I had been touched like that--so delicately.
    He carefully pulled the lingerie down, lifting my hips to get it off of me. When I was left bare beneath him, he took a few seconds to take me in.
"So perfect," he uttered, causing a blush to stain my cheek.
    He swiped a finger over my clit, making an indelicate moan fall from my lips. I would've been embarrassed had he not been causing me so much pleasure. He pressed down with the perfect amount of pressure, circling it with his thumb.
"So good, Az," I mewled, bucking my hips. He held them down with his other hand. "Want them inside, please."
"Whatever you want, baby," he agreed.
   His fingers swirled around my entrance. He sunk two fingers inside me and I gasped, grinding my hips. They felt so different than any other fingers I'd had inside of me. The texture from his scars made the sensation so much more pleasurable.
"Gods, Az," I moaned, clutching onto him. "Your scars feel so fucking good."
   He blushed, and I almost felt shame for letting the words slip out, but a shy smile settled on his face.
   He leaned down, licking a stripe up my core as his fingers continued drilling into me. I cried out, my hands gripping his hair and pushing his face closer. His lips locked around my clit, sucking with the perfect amount of pressure.
"Oh, Az, keep doing that," I begged, grinding against his face and hands.
    I was getting close, and he could sense it. He began sucking just a bit harder, his fingers moving faster.
    I let out a cry as I got right to the edge, then fell over as his fingers angled themselves perfectly. My moans were loud, and undignified as I climaxed on his fingers and mouth.
   He kept sucking my clit and fucking me with his fingers until I was shuddering from overstimulation.
   Then, he pulled away and crawled up to kiss me again. I could taste my release on his lips and tongue. I began to grope the bulge in his pants, desperate for him to be inside of me. He started to unbuckle his belt, and when he was done, I had no patience left. It felt as though he was taking them off slowly on purpose.
   I waved a hand, and his pants were gone, just as I had done with his shirt. I nearly moaned at the sight in front of me. His body was beyond perfect. And his cock . . . I wasn't even sure if it would fit inside me.
"Az . . . " I said nervously.
"If it's too much, we'll take it slow," he promised me, stroking my cheek.
    I pursed my lips and flipped us over so that I was on top. It seemed as though he was about to protest, so I put a finger to his lips.
"Trust me," I begged him. He sighed, but nodded and laid back.
    I smiled and lowered my mouth to him. I wasn't sure I'd be able to stand having him in my mouth. Not after what had been done to me.
    Instead, I licked up the underside of his shaft, my tongue trailing over the veins. He moaned and bit his lip. I felt a wave of excitement at how sensitive he was. I swirled my tongue over his tip, smearing the precum that had began to collect on it.
    When I felt comfortable, I lifted my head and took a deep breath. I straddled his waist and carefully lowered myself onto his cock. I gasped, slowly filling myself more.
"Are you okay?" he asked, his hands resting lightly on my hips.
    I nodded, biting my lip. I let out a moan as I finally sat down completely. He let out a hard breath, squeezing his eyes shut. Having him in me hurt, but it was a pleasurable pain. One that I knew I would crave everyday for the rest of my life.
"I'm fine," I uttered as I began grinding on him.
    He groaned, his grip on my hips tightening. Elio had never let me on top--he'd always stated that the male should be in control. So I wasn't quite sure what I was doing.
    But Az's hands on my hips helped guide me, helped encourage me. I rested my hands on his chest, running them over his muscles.
    His shadows settled on my breasts, playing with my nipples as I sighed in pleasure. One began swirling around my neck, focusing just below my ear.
    I braced my hands on his chest as I began riding him harder, causing a sweet whimper to fall from his lips. I smirked down at him.Â
    His eyes were locked on mine, his thumbs stroking my hips. I whimpered as I got close to the edge again, and he could sense it from the way I clenched around him.
"Do you want me to pull out?" he asked me.
"No, please don't," I begged, throwing my head back as I nearly came undone.
"We'll cum together," he decided. I nodded.
   One of his hands left my hips, and his finger began circling my clit again. That was the last thing I needed to fall over that edge, just as he spilled inside of me.
    Our moans filled the room as we both climaxed, his eyes shut tight, his brow furrowed. I grinded against him a few times to draw out our orgasms, until we had wrung all the pleasure from each other.
   I collapsed on top of him from utter exhaustion, and he wrapped his arms around me, under my wings, pressing a kiss to my forehead.
"Do you want to bathe?" he asked.
"Too tired," I mumbled.
"Okay," he whispered, rolling me off of him.
    I protested as he got out of the bed and made his way to our bathroom. But he came back with a washcloth. He washed our combined releases from my thighs with the warm, wet towel.
    When he was done cleaning me up, he put the towel away and climbed back into bed with me.
"Are you okay?" he asked me. I nodded, humming contently. "Good." He pressed kisses to my face, then one to my lips.
    He pulled me into his warm arms, the two of us still naked. I decided this would be a lovely way to fall asleep, every night for the rest of my life.
