So I'm trying to make a Captain Laserhawk joke (turned kinda serious?) AU where the characters lean more into their game counterparts in looks, personalities, and even stories (except for Dolph because he doesn't have a game counterpart to speak of, so he's the guy who literally has no real idea on what's goin on x11) (and I guess Bullfrog's left to be untouched because he's fine) while the comedy's also cranked up a lot more, and I've already made a post explaining the main cast, but upon doing my research on how to understand the source source material more through people's posts, I stumbled upon your "Orphans of Eden" AU and discovered certain parallels between it and my AU:
Jade and Pey'j find Dolph unconscious in the past and decide to fix him up and treat him like family. This leads to Dolph and Jade forming a nice sibling bond (and also Pey'j is much more like a caring, sane uncle in both AUs)
Rayman works for the good guys as a double agent of sorts and doesn't get guns out of nowhere? •o• (although I guess the main difference is that in your AU he actually gets to do stuff while in my AU he's just some mostly pacifist guy who doesn't want to totally ruin his reputation but he still tags along because Bullfrog gave him some food so now he trusts the gang now even though he's more conflicted with their beliefs lol)
Hmm, what else, what else, uhh... I guess Alex didn't show up before Jade and Pey'j found Dolph, so that's a bonus..! (Though, in my AU, Dolph still went through whatever happened in episode 1 of the series but it's like... a different guy we don't know of yet while Alex is working in this organization called "S.P.I.R.I.T." as an agent mentoring rookie agents and stuff because of his backstory in "The Crew")
And I think that's about it. I really like the concept of your AU and I hope that mine's about on par with yours :D
Have a nice day! ^v^
Nice! it's always fun to see people come up with alternate universe concepts ^-^ It's nice to imagine a more playful version of CLH. It feels a little 'Super Smash bros'-y, which fits Rayman's personality at the very least and allows characters like Jade and Alex to be a bit more relaxed. If anything it's an opportunity to add more game elements from different Ubisoft properties. How about a nod to Valiant Hearts, Tonic Trouble or Child of Light?
I like how Alex and Bullfrog team up too. That's a unique idea. It would be interesting to see how their very different perspectives on life affect how they interact, what their moral standings are and how those contrast one another.
I will say I found it really distracting how the characters were called 'Farts' over and over. I'm sure it's a reference to something but it made it really hard to take the plotlines of the characters seriously, and any serious aspects of their backstories (being used as a tool of Eden, getting into fights, death of families and friends) were undermined by its inclusion.
I'm glad you like Orphans of Eden! I really need to draw more stuff for it. I wanted to draw some of the orphan hybrids Jade, Pey'j and Dolph are caring for XD

I think the common way people interpreted Rayhawk is due to a combination of how bitter they talk about each other and their character arcs being parallel. Dolph's "the shit they put on TV" when seeing Rayman's show is proof enough they would struggle to get along
But the new manga revealing Dolph's back story, it brings a lot of new elements for Rayhawk (and other stuff but this is about ships)
Gonna put this under a read more as it's long and also will bring up some sensitive topics (grooming , age gap relationships, celebrity culture and mentions of sex)
But the main point is that the toxicity of Rayhawk wouldn't be because they have similar traumas (but it can play a part), but because their individual traumas could either conflict with each other or just make things worse for both of them, it just really depends on the circumstances you want to put them under
I seen some people express discomfort about Rayfrog and their age gap regarding Bullfrog saying he watched Rayman's show as a tadpole. (Which is fine to feel btw)
But the thing is? Any baggage around that age gap wouldn't be an issue unless it's purposely focused on , most people just ignore that and focus on other aspects of the ship and characters
You can't do the same for Rayhawk, especially on Dolph's end
Ramon deeply loves people, especially children. So much so that they had a massive impact on his career choices. Ramon so desperately wants to protect children and minorities that it's the leading factor of his betrayal against the board of directors
Dolph is a minority. He was a child taken from his mother and severely abused by the system of Eden, basically raised to be a weapon instead of a person
And after escaping the military, Dolph got groomed by Alex
Whether Dolph always had a thing for older men or Alex just had such an impact on him that it changed Dolph's brain chemistry, we'll never know
But what we do know is that Dolph is shown to have an attraction to men old enough to be his father (Alex) which stems from Dolph's need for parental love , one can also make an argument that Dolph struggles understanding that affection and sex aren't one in the same which negatively impacts Dolph's self worth and his boundaries (thanks Alex you creep)
And you know , Ramon just happens to be much older than Dolph , he also just happens to be a father like figure on children's media (technically he's more like a teacher but it still works here)
Dolph is very much a representative of the very vulnerable people Ramon wanted to help , and which he failed to help anyways
" annoyingly apologetic guilt " doesn't begin to describe how Ramon feels whenever he looks at Dolph and sees the final form of a raykid , that countless children across Eden are being trained to see themselves as tools to be used and later discarded ,and it's all Rayman's fault
And that's just the platonic part of Rayhawk
You really want to mix Dolph's need for parental affectionate and Ramon's guilt over the harm he's done to vulnerable people with sex? Why don't we set the white house on fire while we're at it?
No one can convince me those two wouldn't have incredibly awkward sex. Like, there's no way those two going at it wouldn't get weird at some point
And there's the "what if Rayman knew Dolph before he left the military" angle. Personally not my favourite route as I don't think it'd be in character for Ramon to date a "barely legal adult" (even if that was common place in show business), but if someone wanted to push that, they could make some real BoJack Horseman and Sarah Lynn type tragedy out of Rayhawk
I like the idea of them hooking up for a bit , be a little toxic together and then realise that they don't have to bang each other for hugs and break it off, resulting in them having a much healthier friendship. That's just me though
I don’t have an opinion on the ship but I know the popular theory around rayhawk is that they’d be super tense and toxic because they have such similar trauma, but I also don’t think Dolph has ever met somebody who’s been in his position. Maybe Dolph early on wouldve hated Ramon, but at least according to his bio a large part of his character is growing and learning to communicate & trust others, and Ramon could be a massive step in that direction. Leading to more positive and not so toxic results. I also understand Dolph saw Rayman on TV and as the shitshow who ruined his life, but I don’t think Ramon resembles TV Rayman enough at this point for him to really associate him with such, I mean he changes his name and everything. Plus, this applies to like, any Ramon ship. I don’t really imagine Rayman will suffer from anger towards anybody but Eden, maybe annoyingly apologetic guilt, but I see no reason for him to be hostile to Dolph. I also think Dolph has grown to the point where he wouldn’t resent Ramon, since Dolph is too trusting to begin with. Anyways, my point is I don’t really think they’d have to be super toxic.

What I learned listening to Far Cry 5′s audio files
The game’s lore, as told by its characters.
☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆
Tracey Lader
Biography
Tracey says she grew up without a dad. The first time she tried to hunt, she shot a bullfrog with a BB gun but it didn’t die quickly. She now hates guns because of this incident. She used to be Faith’s best friend and explains her real name is Rachel. She is the one who brought Rachel to Eden’s Gate because she thought it would be their chance to live “off the grid”. They taught her how to sow but also how to clean, load, and fire a gun. After three days, she knew something was wrong (partly because “only the Seeds were allowed to be angry”) and wanted to leave. Rachel didn’t.
Now, she fights against Eden’s Gate and her former best friend. She apologizes to the Deputy for being a little rude to them the first time they met and explains she does “tough” really good but is still working on the rest. She thinks freedom is an idea worth dying for.
Comments about other characters
Even though she hates dogs, she likes Boomer. Tracey is glad Cheeseburger is mellow but thinks he never should have been caged and that he should go free after the fight is over. She implies he smells bad. According to her, Peaches is intimidating and walks like she owns the Deputy. She adds she could have used her growing up.
She and Virgil disagree about a lot of things, like swearing, but both agree that Faith and the Bliss need to be annihilated. She says he sometimes acts like he is her dad. She understands because he’s still mourning the loss of his son but she thinks it’s a bit annoying because she survived her whole life without a father and doesn’t need one now.
She explains there was no real leader and a lot of backstabbing before Whitehorse arrived at the jail.
She hates Eden’s Gate now but explains everyone thought they would make things better when they arrived in Hope County. She says they are like the moon: they look pretty from afar but, up close, it’s another story.
Tracey explains that, before she changed her name to become Faith, Rachel was always “too nice” and avoided fights. Everything changed between them when they joined the cult and she met Joseph. Tracey was there for her but it apparently wasn’t enough… She assures Faith is not innocent, that she knows what she’s doing with the Bliss, and that “she chose to play Daddy’s special flower princess”. Still, she deeply regrets bringing her to Eden’s Gate and bitterly states, “Faith’s bad luck was meeting me in the first place”.
Other characters’ point of view
Charles is friends with her and says that, unlike him, she doesn’t try to avoid conflict.
Dutch says she mostly keeps to herself.
Virgil regrets that she swears and that everyone at the jail now does. However, he says she is a “good kid” and a good leader.
Whitehorse explains she and Faith used to be part of a free-spirit movement and were excluded from it when they fell into hard drugs. He says she saw a new home in Eden’s Gate and feels responsible for Rachel’s transformation into Faith. According to him, it’s not hard to get on her good side and she helps a lot at the jail. She is a worker.
Faith says she loves Tracey’s rage. She also loves her because she brought her to Joseph. According to her, her former best friend made the same mistake a lot of people made: underestimating and disregarding her, like she was a child.

Survivor Daemons
Here’s a whole bunch of blabber that no one asked for about my Dbd daemon AU, featuring the reasoning behind the forms of the survivor’s daemons and a little about their personalities. Why? Because I can and I felt like typing a whole bunch of stuff that no one will read
There are a lot of additional rules and complications for daemons in trials, and I’m probably going to make a separate post both for that and for the Killer’s daemons (or... current lack thereof), because this got VERY long.
And before we get started, here’s a plug for my currently abandoned fic playing with this concept. Ima get back to it at some point.
First off, I had some limits for survivor forms. Their daemons have to be small, and easy to carry around in a trial. Most of them ended up being birds, with a couple of exceptions. Also, only a couple of the names mean anything- I got almost all of them from a fantasy name generator and just picked one that sounded nice.
Dwight and Zefrita
Zefrita (Zeffie) is a mourning dove, and I chose her form for a couple of reasons. Mourning doves are entirely defenseless against their predators (except for natural camouflage) and are therefore very flighty, anxious birds. They are also known for forming close, lifelong pair-bonds, and since Dwight’s perks are all about teamwork and literal bonds between survivors, that seemed to resonate with him.
Zefrita is a very quiet daemon, and only talks to the other survivor’s daemons (and Dwight, of course). While Dwight stammers and hesitates a lot when he’s flustered or anxious, Zefrita only talks when they have enough conviction about something that she can articulate it clearly. So, it’s a pretty big deal if she says something important- it usually means that it is.
Meg and Skiflit
Skiflit (Skif) is a northern goshawk. I used this analysis to come up with his form, mostly because of the interpretations of loyalty, determination/being goal-driven, and assertiveness, which I all think fit with Meg- or at least, my version of Meg, who’s caring but a bit of a hothead.
Skif talks about as much as Meg does, which is quite a lot, especially in fireside arguments. He’s also the most likely to get physical with the other daemons, whether aggressively or for support/comfort.
Jake and Dancha
Dancha (Dawn) is a raccoon, which I just love for Jake for so many reasons and I was so happy that the form analysis worked out. It really boils down to what he said in the actual fic- they’re highly adaptable/resourceful, conflict-avoidant, and independent animals. Their also curious but in a killed-the-cat sort of way, which seems true to Jake’s character to me.
Dawn tends to let Jake do most of the talking, and really only interacts with the original four survivors daemons, sometimes including Nea and Laurie’s daes if she feels up to it. She and Jake are pretty slow to trust, and even though they feel perfectly comfortable around all the survivors (though they clash with Ace) Dawn keeps her interactions to a minimum to stay in her comfort zone. They don’t have much of any comfort left, after all.
Claudette and Laefertes
Laefertes (Laef) is a barn owl, and I actually think I named him after Laertes from Hamlet for some reason? I think I just had the name stuck in my head, no significance to it. The two traits that really stuck out to me for his form were barn owls having a surprising amount of foresight in caching their extra food and their egg care habits, and the analysis I read also listed owls as being very perceptive, for obvious reasons, which fits well with Claudette’s Empathy (perk and trait) to me.
Claudette and Laef are kind of the greeters of the group, so when someone new shows up at the campfire they do all the explaining and “welcome to a Bad Time” talk. Claudette tends to say more comforting things than hard truths, and Laef compliments her by being the opposite- almost anything out of his mouth is what needs to be said, not necessarily what people want to hear.
Nea and Bayonai
Bayonai (Bayo) is a Siamese cat and listen I have a lot of reasons for it. He’s a cat for obvious reasons- Baker literally describes Nea as catlike in the journal entry- as well as cats being generally friendly, but independent for the most part. Siamese cats in particular are known for being loud attention seekers like no other, and we know that Nea was the epitome of Rebellious Teen (tm) in her day. They also tend to be curious (again, in a killed-the-cat sort of way).
Bayo is my favorite daemon of the bunch, probably because I started writing him first. He and Nea are less counterparts of one another than they are the same person divided into two parts. Bayo has a little more of their caution, but he’s like the friend who is saying “this is a terrible idea, oh my god” while filming it. They have street smarts more than school smarts, but Bayo has a little bit of an edge on Nea when it comes to critical thinking.
Laurie and Aurelio
Aurelio (Ori, which accidentally means they’re Laurie and Ori) is a European robin. His name comes from the Latin word for golden. His form was really hard to find, mostly because the original survivors have just a few canon character traits, whereas Laurie Strode has a whole franchise worth of characterization to sort through. I ended up just using Halloween I and II for my form finding. I used this analysis for Aurelio and I don’t have much to say about it, other than I was relieved to finally find a form that fit.
Aurelio and Laurie are Survivors (tm) in the truest sense of the word, so in my ‘verse they’re kind of dry and cynical. Aurelio tends not to talk very much, and when he does he often says things that are too dark for the conversation he’s contributing to, and is reprimanded by Laurie. They had a perfectly normal human-daemon bond before Myers, but it changed after, and they were never the same.
Ace and Kesina
Kesina (Kess or occasionally Kesi) is an American bullfrog. She’s the only reptile form among the survivors. I’m honestly not even going to say anything else about her form, just link to the analysis because IMO it’s so Ace it hurts. Laid-back is the main trait that I like that I don’t see listed as a major point in the analysis, but frogs are chill as fuck.
Kesina says all the sarcastic and biting things that Ace doesn’t, but in a dismissively calm way that gets a rise out of whoever she’s said it to. Not that he wouldn’t, it’s just funnier if she calls Jake a dumbass in Argentine Spanish than if he does. She and Ace talk to each other almost exclusively in that dialect when they’re being snarky or sarcastic, even if they’re doing the “what do you want to have for dinner!?” routine, because no one can understand what they’re saying and it pisses everyone else off.
Bill and Portril
Portril (no nickname) is a summer tanager, a kind of smallish songbird. Frankly there’s not very much personality lore for Bill out there, even in what Left 4 Dead stuff I tried to dig up, so I went with my personal HC’s for him- grumpy and quiet but altruistic and perceptive old man. Here’s the analysis if anyone is actually reading this, but this is more for my own benefit let’s be real. There’s not a ton of real solid behavior for summer tanagers, but I liked what this person wrote so I went with it.
Bill is quiet and Portril is quieter. Bill contributes a few sentences to the conversation at the campfire every now and then, but the majority of the survivors have never heard Portril say a word.
Feng and Maeslin
Maeslin (Maes) is a numbat (google it), and tbh I should have picked a Chinese-sounding name for him, but I’m too attached to Feng having a daemon she calls Mace to change it. I’d never heard of a numbat before form finding for Feng, but I love how well the weird little things fit with her character. Numbats are specialized eaters and ONLY eat termites. They have to eat 20,000 of the things a day to stay alive. What I get out of that is that the are specialized/single-focus type people, like Feng and her gaming, and work really fucking hard to be good/keep at it.
I haven’t done a lot of thinking about Maes’ personality. I think he and Feng are a Chaotic Neutral disaster duo. He’s a very mobile daemon and tends to climb all over Feng, never staying in one place for too long- it’s a habit he learned very quickly to not bring into trials.
David and Ezriana
Ezriana (Ez) is a magnificent frigatebird and it’s SUCH a shame that she’s not male, because the main reason I picked that form for David is because of the absolute pompous showoffs that male frigatebirds are with that throat pouch of theirs. Frigatebirds are also known for being opportunistically aggressive and basically getting into fights with other species of coastal birds to steal their catches. There’s some more, non-fighty traits that made me decide on frigatebird for Ezriana, but those are really the two main reasons I picked it.
Ezriana is kinda the “kick his ass baby I got yo flower” of the pair, and she always tends to kind of stay out of the thick of it, circling overhead and yelling out insults and encouragement. Her actual personality is pretty laid back when not in conflict mode, and she’s pretty good for conversation around the campfire. Her way of talking is a little more... coherent.. than David, who’s excitable and can get a little carried away.
Quentin and Nynta
Nynta (Nyn, pronounced Nihn) is an earwig. Earwigs are tough little insects and are very adaptable and actually protect their eggs and then care for their young, showing a lot of duty and dedication. I think that fits with what I managed to gather of Quentin’s role in NoES 2010, which I haven’t actually watched. Additionally, fitting into the daemonverse, earwigs are very small, and Quentin keeps Nynta in a lanyard, so that Freddy and no one else has any possible access to touching her.
Nynta never talks, period. No one knows what her and Quentin’s relationship is like, taking into consideration Laurie and Aurelio’s slightly trauma-damaged bond, but everyone knows that Nynta probably doesn’t trust anyone. They’ve never seen her outside of her clear plastic lanyard, which locks from the inside with a one digit combination that only Nynta can open. I imagine she probably settled during the events of NoES 2010.
Tapp and Soliel
Soliel (Sol) is a Florida scrub jay. Scrub jays are committed birds, both to their mates and their territory, and keen and clever observers of what happens in their area and to their things (food caches and stuff). These to me seem like good traits to match a detective’s personality. These birds are also highly specialized to their environment, though, and are unadaptable- that combination of traits makes sense, because Tapp became borderline obsessed with the Saw case in his lore.
Soliel is as focused as her human is, and accepts facts and information readily. Being older than most of the others, she tends not to talk too much unless they’re having an interesting discussion, rather than a time-killing or social conversation.
Kate and Torelian
Torelian (Tori) is a fennec fox. Fennec foxes are super extroverted and sociable animals, and tough critters that are well adapted for going long periods of time without commodities, but not without other people around them. Kate traveled a lot for her music career, but she seems to me like a caring and outgoing person that really connected with her fans. He also matches her aesthetic, and is a cute/attractive form- perfect for a performer’s daemon.
Torelian is as much of a performer as Kate. He can’t play and instrument, but they can sing duets and are, of course, completely in sync at all times. It’s great for cheering up the campfire after rough trials and moments of (extra) hopelessness. He’s a good ear to talk to and offers wholesome advice.
Adam and Samia
Samia (no nickname) is a northern cardinal. I chose the form this morning and frankly I’m tired of resummarizing bird analyses at this point, so here ya go.
I’ve done no character exploration for Samia yet, might edit this when/if I come up with some more for her. Most of the daemons outside the first five or six I’ve done more developing here than otherwise, so we’ll see!
If you got this far you’re my new favorite human, and thank you for listening to my impassioned rambling about my two current hyperfixations mashed into one <3

You make good point because I can see a sense of guilt being a big piece of the puzzle here. And it works well with the False sense of Apathy/Nihilism that encompasses a lot of Dolph’s inner conflict and thankfully, he eventually gets over it to save Bullfrog. That said I have to reiterate false sense of apathy because I mean even when he confronted Alex he was clearly shaken by innocent people dying. Pretty sure that false sense of apathy is a defense and coping mechanism.
So yea TLDR I agree with you cause this is a pretty in depth perspective. His guilt is a factor here. Even with that new take though I think it’s sooooooo AHHHHHH that despite everything he’s gone through personally he’s also thinking about how he wished the Ghosts were okay and safe. I feel like Dolph’s (from what I speculate) gone through a lot but even so he hasn’t really grown numb to the inherent humanism that is seeing the value in even a stranger’s life (as much as he pretends) and I think that’s hm…AHHHHH
No cause I feel like the Ghosts were definitely killed off too fast (and I mean mmm, with that 6 episode limit, I kiiiiinda wanna blame big corpo for that writing fault of CL but anyway) and should have had more time together but what actually chokes me up is that DESPITE THAT, despite Dolph knowing these people for a maximum of like 10 days they’re all a part of what he’d consider his dream life and I just think that- *crumbles to the floor*

Even if you want to view the relationship between Dolph and Bullfrog as platonic with no chance of romance (which honestly, as a laserfrog shipper I fully support Dolph having a journey of self discovery as a single man being what happens in canon) the fact Dolph wanted to kill himself after "successfully" getting revenge on Alex and then had a brief moment of wanting to stay alive just to save Bullfrog is... Is so god damn insane to me
For one this very much confirms Dolph had no one but Alex in his life, at least when the show begins. With the knowledge he was taken from his parents at four years old to be a child soldier and that he doesn't make any comments regarding his family life (both in show and manga previews as of this post) and that the only information we have of them is from an Eden propaganda film, we can conclude his parents never made contact with him for whatever reason.
It also seems very unlikely Dolph had friends outside of Alex. I know there's a french comic about someone whose close to Dolph but I can't understand french so someone who can read french , please feel free to add to this point
Which makes me wonder.... was Dolph always so loyal to the few loved ones he dared to let in his heart to the point they were the deciding factor on if he would let himself live or die, or was that something that Alex purposely made worse without Dolph even knowing? Idk about you,but an ex military soldier who is a cyborg with a laser gun hand being that loyal to you seems like the ideal situation for someone like Alex and his plans, so it seems only natural than that Alex would try encouraging that awful mindset of Dolph's rather than actually help him
So what does this mean for Dolph's relationship with Bullfrog?
Assuming they sort out the whole "Dolph is kinda responsible for Jade and Pey''s deaths" issue for this next point
Considering the entire point of the Assassin Creed is their core belief of the freedom of the individual person (their major conflict against the Templars who believes in having complete control over everything) and that Bullfrog is a firm follower of the creed's beliefs (especially since he is the last of the brotherhood), I think "horrified" wouldn't even be close to the reaction Bullfrog would have here
I don't think this would make Bullfrog cut ties with Dolph or anything like that, but it would be an incredibly uncomfortable position for the both of them
Like Dolph, sweetie, Bullfrog is already under a lot of pressure being the last assassin in a world ruled by Templars and trying to rebuild the brotherhood, I don't think he can handle being the only reason you're not jumping off buildings on top of all that

I can't stop thinking about how Bullfrog would feel about Dolph having a past relationship with Ramon and the implications of that, because the manga sure did put a lot of Dolph ships into a really uncomfortable perspective and it's not even been released yet
Dolph was 19 when he and Ramon had a brief but consenting relationship and this is going with an alternative season one ending where the three team up for context to this post
Also to clarify: don't support this type of relationship irl and this is purely an exploration of a fictional situation with fictional characters. I'm not gonna get graphic with this but it will be touching on uncomfortable topics involving age gap relationships, drugs , alcoholism , slight dubious consent involving those substances and general nonsense that celebrities get away with. Please don't read further if that makes you uncomfortable especially if you're a minor, please stop reading this and go watch a Rayman play through instead
We don't know exactly what Bullfrog's upbringing was like but we can make a bet it was at least more "normal" and stable than Dolph's, and because of that Bullfrog is more aware of what a healthy and unhealthy relationship is (as well as him being an outsider with a different perspective then Dolph's)
Ramon is the one to spill the beans, because Dolph rarely ever wants to actually talk about his issues
Bullfrog has .... a lot of conflicting feelings upon learning that information. Confused on how either of them even got to that point. Disgusted and Angry at Ramon because hey, Bullfrog thought Ramon was a FRIEND who needed his support, how DARE RAMON do that!? How DARE Ramon expect Bullfrog to be friendly with him after telling him all that!? Especially after the Pey'J situation
But also saddened by what Dolph had gone through, and also guilty for feeling more intense about the situation then Dolph
Ramon starts off treating it more as a naughty little thing he did then the seriously messed up situation it was, I mean, all the other celebrities had hot young partners and secret affairs so it wasn't weird, its a normal thing on earth, right?
But after distancing himself from stardom and learning the full extent of how his face was used to train child soldiers , how Dolph was taken from his own parents to be one oy those soldiers, remembering how often he and Dolph got drunk and used drugs before... Before they.... It really dawned on Ramon then just how horrible the power imbalance was between him and Dolph and it makes him feel (justifiably) sick with himself
Dolph probably expresses his opinion on it the least as he didn't see it as any different to his other relationships (Like Alex) and just wants the topic dropped, especially since Bullfrog keeps looking at him with pity. Though Dolph is probably more effected by it and other relationships he had then he even realises
When Ramon tries to apologise it just , makes Dolph really annoyed and pissed off because "hey I was a consenting adult you ass" and he just wants to move on already and Ramon repeatedly trying to say sorry and bringing up all the awful things that happened between them is just making Dolph more uncomfortable by the second
.... Other than ripping off BoJack horseman idk where to go from that
TBH I probably won't touch on this particular way to portray Dolph and Ramon's relationship but I did want to throw these out the window

I will babygirl-ify Dolph Laserhawk likes my life depends on it. While also respecting his canonical characterization (which is that he is traumatized and probably touch-starved)
Hhrughh Bullfrog being cautious bc hes already seen Dolph's destructive tendencies (to himself and others (mostly through lack of care)) but he wants to trust Dolph can be better, that he won't sacrifice others through recklessness. Not in a "I can fix him" way, but more like "I am willing to help you when you decide to start healing" type way. His faith in people is what stands out to me as a character
Like we see that Eden paints Rayman/Ramon as their "rising above the odds" figurehead, but the reality of the series is that Bullfrog, perfectly embodying the spirit of the Brotherhood, is the real beacon of hope. In a series where characters have every right to be depressed by the dystopia they inhabit, he goes against the grain by being cheerful, charming, and kind when other may not "deserve" it. I may or may not be going nuts over this fact
Also I like to approach laserfrog as a ship through the lense of them both being adults. Messy, very human adults, but mature. Maybe it's bc I'm approaching 30 and very aroace, but I get tired of ships soaked in drama, so I am excited to explore a ship where the drama is a little less,, idk l,, dramatic?? I Don't know how to express it but like this isn't a teen thing where big feelings conflict and communication styles are an issue, laserfrog is them being like "Okay there's a lot of really messy stuff here, let's take this a bit at a time."
Idk if that makes any sense at all but yah hfjaknfks
As much as I enjoy seeing people draw or meta about laserfrog relationship, like how they get along or are sweet together etc, my favorite version/stage of the ship is when Dolph is so very much not over Alex and refuses to admit his feelings because he doesn't want a rebound and meanwhile Bullfrog is sat calmly waiting aspec-ly on the side for Dolph to get a fucking clue
Also post-s1 has so much to explore u can take them anywhere
