Racism in Accenture [PROOF]
Have you ever worked in a company where all the leaders are all white? Have you ever felt alienated and seeking for a person of color that can represent you and relate with? Or that company says equal opportunity employer but when you check all their leaders all of them are white? But why is that? What is going on?
Accenture is even proud to show into their website all of the higher executives and all of them are white and a very few Indians and Chinese you can count below five fingers. Where is the opportunity, inclusivity, and diversity the company is talking about for every people including Black people? Yes of course there will be some available roles for employee roles but what about opportunities in the Leadership Team? Is it really inclusivity or exclusivity? Racism is a form of discrimination of your color and it’s evident with this company. Please don’t even try to deny it, it is shown in the company website in the Leadership Team section, all of them are White.
And in a separate note from the CEO Julie Sweet, recently, they say that they will increase the equality of African and Latinos in the company but why just implement now? Because something happened in the issue of racism globally? But what if it not happened at all? There wouldn’t be any need for equality for Black People in the company, right? How can a company claim such equality where it never happened to begin with from Leadership? That is so questionable. Should we tolerate such actions? Leadership have never realized this not until a Black Person died on the knees of a White Police guy choking him to his last breath. Such a shame for Leadership and too much pride, privilege, and entitlement for being White. White people have this superiority complex in them that they are better than anybody else in the room. Including the Leadership space.
How can we get insurance that the company really do show support in Black Lives Matter? Some CEOs are very willing and generous enough to step down to give way and show support and some would probably just sit around and keep their position and only take action when faced with issues. Believe me no one in the Leadership Team will be generous enough to give their position to a Black Person because most of them are selfish and that’s business. Accenture is business for White People. This is the issue that the company have failed to deliver in their Leadership. Accenture is in hot seat now.
The company also put racism on another level by excluding only Black People but you can see Indians and Chinese people in higher leadership roles and that is called bullying. Bullying Black People by not allowing them to sit in higher roles and limiting it to only White People and some few Non-Black People. Why so selective about it? As long as they are not Black, it’s ok. Really?
On a final note, before companies even dare to claim equal opportunity, inclusivity, and diversity. They must first practice what they preach on a higher level and not only practice it on lower roles where they can run away from and be exempted to the rule, and that is cheating. Before Accenture would even attempt to remove this from their website, I took a screenshot of all their White Leaders as a PROOF so they can’t get away with it and stop them from fabricating lies.
If you are Black and this matters to you. Reblog this post or share on other social media platforms in Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.

Just another day in paradise 🥴
Had to rush to get to work 3 hours earlier, because the one receptionist is sick. Anyway, get to work on time walk in greet my colleague friendly, but get no greeting back ... instead, she bangs her fists on the counter and angrily tells me "What are you doing here? I told the other receptionist it is not necessary to ask me to come in!"
I first looked at her in disbelief, because I could not believe how she was talking to me, and then told her that I was asked to come in.
The rest of the morning I had to listen to her huffing, puffing and sighing, because apparently it is a great irritation to have to work with me.
On normal days she anyway ignores me for most of the day and if she has to speak to me does it with disdain and irritation. Apparently everything that comes out of my mouth is a bunch of bullshit.
Sad part is the boss is a very poor leader and just pretends that staff issues don't exist ... and he is a damn bully himself!
I love my job, I just don't like some of the people I work with.
There is this click at work ... and they make no secret about the fact that I am not part of this click and never will be ...
We are only 9 people working there and only 2 people are not part of the click. For goodness sake, we are supposed to be a team and work together.

We know the coronavirus pandemic has caused upheaval for many populations and for many high risk groups.Sometimes social distancing cannot really occur when high risk groups need extra, individualized attention. There are financial impacts when jobs are lost and family members are not working. The psychological impact of the pandemic, affects the mental state of high risk groups because COVID19 can impact people with neurologic, genetic, metabolic and a host of conditions. During the pandemic, disabled individuals find it to be a challenge to access medical supplies, especially when resources have become scarce. Social distancing causes the disabled individual to experience loneliness and social isolation. On the other hand, there is a generalized anxiety for everyone, as people are essentially in crisis mode, and paralyzed by a state of fear about catching the virus. So it seems that the disabled person, who feels isolated, and does not access essential resources, is like a target who is bullied constantly and feels entrapped by one's work climate. The disabled person, on the other hand, feels entrapped by the general climate of the society suffering from the pandemic. It is important to develop public health policies that reflect equitable and fair  treatment for those who are disabled.Online and high tech based learning platforms must be made available to accommodate our disabled population. We need to empower the disabled-especially during a pandemic. Let's revisit the toxic workplace. It is a workplace 'marked by significant drama and infighting where personal battles with others often harm one's productivity.' When our colleagues spread false rumors, or we work with unsupportive colleagues who make us feel anxious and threatened, this contributes to the toxic workplace. Now let's insert the COVID19 atmosphere into our environments and workplaces.Your office colleague comes to the office and starts sneezing and coughing. People are in pandemic mode-- and we need to immediately know if our jobs have back-to-work health and safety policies, which address the coronavirus pandemic. If no policy exists, we find ourselves fighting with our sneezing and coughing colleagues, creating a toxic and bully-prone workplace. We become afraid of infection-and think we might get sick...and the colleague who sneezes, experiences social isolation and ostracism. It is important to maintain mental health in one's workplace. Before the COVID19 outbreak, people would come to work with a cold or feeling sick--and be on medication. Now there is more sensitivity to this situation. The pandemic mode has exaggerated the toxic workplace. If someone who is sick comes to work now, there can be a liability issue, where there is a fear of infecting everyone on the job. It is important to raise morale and productivity at your workplace. It would help to have supportive colleagues around you.  Stay home if you feel sick. Perhaps you can ask your supervisor,  if you can work from home. Be sure to have policies in place at work-that protect our environments and keep our employees safe and healthy. We can overcome this pandemic!!! #bullyingprevention #bullyingeduc #stopbullying #bullyingintheworkplace #clarawajngurt #workplacebullying #bullying #coronavirus #coranavirus19 (at New York, New York) https://www.instagram.com/p/CDfTpXHjYis/?igshid=gpjmkl3tplrh

A disability is essentially any condition or impairment of the body or mind that makes it more difficult  for the person with the disability to do certain activities, or to interact with the world around them (Center for Disease Control, CDC)). There are numerous disabilities from vision, hearing, thinking, movement, learning, mental health, social relationships, etc. How does COVID19 impact on people who are disabled? It is not necessarily the case that disabled people are at higher risk from being infected with COVID19. However, it seems that COVID19 impacts people who have underlying chronic medical conditions, e.g., heart disease or weakened immune systems.According to the CDC, adults with disabilities, are three times more likely than adults without disabilities, to have heart disease, stroke.diabetes, cancer than adults without disabilities (CDC,April 2020). COVID19 affects everyone. It spreads quickly from person to person. Risk of infection from COVID19 is higher for people who are in close contact with someone who tests positive for COVID19, such as health care workers, household members, etc. Please protect yourself from COVID19 by taking the necessary precautions--avoiding close contact in general with others who are sick, wearing personal protective equipment, and washing your hands often.Don't worry if you appear to isolate yourself from others. Your health is of utmost importance, and it is important to show sensitivity to people who are disabled, to people who have compromised conditions or to those who are impaired in any way. #bullyingprevention #bullyingeduc #stopbullying #bullyingintheworkplace #clarawajngurt #workplacebullying #empathy #covid19 #coronavirus #coranavirus19 #bullying (at New York, New York) https://www.instagram.com/p/CCoQwO8DI8O/?igshid=y1voikd65dt6

Do you really think the elementary and high schools are ready for reopening? With the coronavirus pandemic still around us, and mandates given by our governments to wear masks and personal protective equipment, obey social distancing, how can we enforce these procedures in our schools?...And there is constant talk about reopening the schools in the Fall. The fact is that we cannot consider reopening schools unless we have first solved some of these important issues: 1.If I'm a working parent and my child tests positive for COVID19 at the school entrance, will my child return home with me? Sounds feasible. 2.Do we really think that students attending elementary and high schools will stay six feet from each other.? How do we discipline our children to do this? 3. That being said about social distancing-can students wear masks continuously-all day at school? How do we teach our children to do this-if adults cannot do this? Do children learn from one another? 4.Do you really think that classrooms which generally have about 25-30 students can accommodate six feet of social distancing? 5.Children generally sneeze, cough, talk with one another -how fast can the virus be spread from one child to another child? How about the speed at which the virus can travel from student to teacher? What about the teacher who has pre-health conditions or is immuno-compromised, or pregnant? 6. Do we really think that after school is over our children will continue to wear masks and personal protective equipment while meeting after-school friends? Do adults follow this, when meeting their friends? 7. How do we train our school professionals in the area of putting on personal protective equipment, and in the area of infection control, from now till the Fall? Can this be done for real? So many questions to answer-maybe you have suggestions? #bullyingprevention #bullyingeduc #stopbullying #bullyingintheworkplace #clarawajngurt #workplacebullying (at New York, New York) https://www.instagram.com/p/CCb1f_KDLhY/?igshid=phrotc2pxhar

COVID-19 has caused many people to experience sadness, fear, anxiety and loneliness (Leyba,2020). As a result, people feel anger that COVID-19 has uprooted their normal routines.Their jobs have been displaced. Finances and the normalcy of day-to-day living has changed.  Does this remind you of the Kubler-Ross' stages of grief? The stages are denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance. Many of us are still at the denial and anger stage. I can't believe this is happening to me-or how could I lose so much during this time? There is a shock and disbelief-yearning for the way things use to be.  Since many of us are at home , we need to be careful that we don't take our rage out, on our family members. We need to work on gaining awareness for displacing our anger at our child who needs our attention,or our spouse for not doing what we need. It is important to deal with our feelings in a healthy way-so we  become aware of how we treat ourselves and others. In this way we will we face the anger and grief in ways that are more beneficial and healing, during this trying COVID-19 period. #covid19 #coronavirus #coranavirus19 #clarawajngurt #workplacebullying #bullying #bullyingprevention #bullyingeduc #stopbullying #bullyingintheworkplace #grief #griefjourney (at New York, New York) https://www.instagram.com/p/CBay4-sDWhP/?igshid=1xq8slnz2gvyk

Recently there was another amazingly heartbreaking article about a  'Victim of a Possible Coronavirus Hate Crime (March 14, 2020). The target this time was a person who grew up in Hong Kong but has lived in the United States for almost 35 years. About a month ago he was walking his ten year old son to a bus stop in New York City around 6:50 am. An angry stranger approached both of them hurling expletives at the father and son, and asked ,'Where is your mask?' The aggressor continued with his verbal tirade and followed the man and his son to the bus that was already waiting to pick up children. As the man's son went into the bus, the aggressor hit the man on his head. How can we learn to treat others with civility and respect? What do you suggest we do to help Asian Americans protect themselves, and teach others in our communities to show politeness and consideration? #bullying #stopbullying #bullyinghurts #bullyingprevention #bullyingeduc #stopbullying #bullyingintheworkplace #clarawajngurt #mondaymotivation #fridayquote #covid19 #coronavirus #coranavirus19 (at New York, New York) https://www.instagram.com/p/B_F7f5tjZf-/?igshid=a5d353mi0zat

Today we are meeting virtually as a department, talking about how to help our students, how to teach our online courses, and how to continue working in this way, for the next couple of weeks, as this pandemic continues. One of the professors at the meeting says 'this social distancing is depressing' and another one says 'he is feeling grief' (Berinato, 2020). What does this depression and grief really mean? We see the world is changing before our eyes-there is a loss of normalcy and a failure to really connect with others right now.Particularly, there is a disconnect of really connecting with others through the use of social media and technology. It hits us that we are grieving the change and loss of what resulted from the pandemic, before the pandemic existed and the future which seems so uncertain. All of a sudden we feel a loss of safety and a lack of control. Now consider the similarities as we consider how workplace bullying promotes grief. The people who are bullied and are demeaned and criticized by their bosses, grieve their situations, as a result of their shame and doubt stemming from their boss' behavior. The boss' behavior is absolutely troubling and annoying, and causes grief. Such work abuse affects present jobs and future careers as well as financial stability. The sense of loss is paramount and grief is a response to this abuse. Acknowledge your grief openly. Your bosses will not change their approach. Stop the bargaining in your mind-well maybe my boss is smart and really means well.Accept your grief-this bullying is happening and I need to work on planning how to proceed.  In this way we better deal with situations that cause grief. #bullying #altoalbullying #speakout #bullyingprevention #bullyingeduc #stopbullying #bullyingintheworkplace #clarawajngurt https://www.instagram.com/p/B-lLhE4jngh/?igshid=1dpo5rbvd8464

mpathy is the ability to experience and relate to the thoughts, emotions and experiences of others (Pressley, 2012). When your friend empathizes with you, your friend basically feels and thinks what you are feeling. In the workplace, when your colleague exhibits empathy towards others on the job, your colleague shows that he/she cares for others. An empathic leader in the workplace is one who makes everyone feel they are part of the team. As a result of this feeling, the team will then exhibit positive morale and loyalty towards one another. When leaders are empathic, they like people, value people as individuals, and enjoy working with and helping others. If an individual on your team has been bullied, the empathic leader will listen, will be open and will understand, what the one who is bullied feels. In this way the empathic leader helps struggling colleagues on the team to improve productivity on the job. We need to encourage more empathic leaders in our workplaces. When someone gets bullied it can be a traumatic experience for the target, The pain that a target feels can be so intense that it impacts every moment of one's existence..This means they can feel lonely, isolated, vulnerable and anxious (Gordon, 2017). Sometimes the target develops anxiety disorders as a result of the constant bullying: Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) can exhibit in the form of flashbacks, nightmares, being startled easily or just withdrawing socially from others. When your boss screams at his/her team and shows uncivil behavior to colleagues around the boss--this can possibly elicit symptoms of social withdrawal or nightmares about the boss and other colleagues for both targets and bystanders. Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) is exhibited by targets who have worries and fears that distract them from day-to-day activities. If I think that my colleague will exclude me from the team project, I could conceivably develop worries that I am socially excluded from a project that I have expertise. This disorder can develop to insomnia, restlessness, physical symptoms and fatigue. The target starts to worry that something bad might happen even if in reality nothing bad happens. Panic attacks occur when targets experience feelings of terror that strike suddenly without warning.Other symptoms may include sweating, chest pains or even irregular heartbeats. So an overbearing boss can lead to a target being absent continuously from the job. Social anxiety disorder occurs when the target is afraid of humiliation or of being seen negatively by others. The target is afraid others are judging him/her.This happens when a personal attack is made continuously about someone on a job.The best way for a target to deal with this situation is to avoid the situation and to avoid social situations which include this colleague. If one is being bullied, and has these reactions, we need to seek professional help in order to develop coping strategies that deal with these situations. If your workplace has bullying prevention policies, this would minimize the occurrence of such situations. #bullyingprevention #bullyingeduc #stopbullying #bullyingintheworkplace (at New York, New York) https://www.instagram.com/p/B51C7_ZgWqt/?igshid=1vdyfab4oj546
