Okay so the ONLY things to survive Punishment were me and BUGS. BUGS. I somehow made a nuclear bomb capable of destroying the entirety of human civilization of the Third Period but that can't kill a fucking WINGED TERMITE.

There’s a lot Stan Pines doesn’t know in this life. Take, for instance, the word “monster.” Supposedly, it comes from Latin, the kind of way-back Latin people spoke when they ran around in togas, stabbing each other in the back over mediocre salad dressing. The origins of the term, as he’s been told, are monstrare and monere, meaning “to show” or “to warn.” He’s further informed that a bunch of nerds holed up in a tower of dusty old libraries went on to extend the original definition of “monster” to include the means of knowledge.

As far as anyone who knew Stan Pines was concerned, the only monsters he ever worried about were the giant ants who showed up to eat Tokyo on black and white late-night TV.

That’s not all Stan Pines doesn’t know.
