Great hornbill (Buceros bicornis) (female), family Bucerotidae (hornbills)
A species with mild sexual dimorphism, males and females can be told apart by their eyes, the skin around their eyes, and the underside of the casque on their head. Females have pale blueish eyes with pink skin around them, while males have red eyes with black skin. Females also have red on the back of the casque, while males have black on the underside of the casque, both front and back.

Wreathed hornbill (Rhyticeros undulatus) (male), family Bucerotidae (hornbills)
Like many birds, the wreathed hornbill has a nictitating membrane: a third eyelid which blinks sideways, used to protect and moisten the eye (see third picture).
While male wreathed hornbills are brightly colored, females are much plainer in appearance. Their plumage is uniformly black, lacking the white and rufous markings of the male, and their throats are blue.
