A Robbery

"This is a robbery!" Nica announced. One of her suits arms raised threateningly as she crab-walked out of the shadows.

Landon jumped slightly at the voice and stood looking at the suit in fear. Paris, his dog, was screaming and trying to get away. Lucky him, for he broke the leash from his harness and took off running, all while screaming."Lo-look, I don't want any trouble," Landon said, shaking as he cused himself for not bringing his phone or blue tooth device.

Nica's eyes widened as she saw the other ones features a little bit better. This looked like ... Harrison? But also not like Harrison. So she frowned at him, for starters. There was no spark of recognition in the other ones eyes. Just fear. She had to think about how Minion won't like it when she robbed his precious companion ... So, she hesitated, but kept her suit's arm up and aimed at the other.

Landon was looking for a way out. He couldn't move the way that Paris could, fast small movements before breaking into a run, cowardly dog. He couldn't do much of anything, except stall. "W-what do you want? Coins? Dollars? Something of the like?" Paris ran right into traffic, screeching for help. Someone had to come with him to help! No one was helping! Help! He let out another screech as he crossed the street without harm and kept running.

Nica looked aside. It wasn't technically robbery when he gave it to her, right? " ... Sure?" Looking back at him, she moved her fins up and down again. When he was so nice to offer it was rude to not take it. While this was happening the dogs cry didn't pass unnoticed. Forest answered all calls, dog, human, cat, alien ... alike. Mostly because the sounds weren't always seperable but also because he had a heart for everyone. And he was very worried to spot a dog cross one of the main roads. This could lead to more than just dog cries... Seemingly out of nowhere coming, he moved in front of the scared animal as it ran down the sidewalk now and raised his wide wings to make it stop -

Paris stoped in front of the bat person. He grabbed his tail and tugged in a way that said 'come on'. Landon reached into his pocket for the change he kept inside.

"What's - hey!" Forest complained, worried for a sec that the dog would escape and then that he would bite him. But that didn't happen. "Good boy. Um." Wait? Was he using his tail as leash? This was not as he would think it would go. Nica just blinked, waiting. "What do you got?"

Paris, once again, started running. This time, he ran back to Landon. Literally dragging help along with him. Landon pulled out a few coins, mostly quarters and nickles. "You like shiny things?" He smiled, getting down on one knee and offering the coins to Nica.

Did it show so easy? "Mmmaybe" the fish admit, eyes glued on the treasure. "Thank you." Nobody could tell that she had bad manners. Nica lowered the aiming arm by now and raised another one with a round opening where the leg touched the ground. Big enough to fit a tennisball, but bothing wider. She smiled, too, for a moment. A smile that should freeze soon as Forest and Paris were appproaching. The superbats voice was the first to give them away as Forest tried to talk some sense into the dog he was chasing.

Landon dropped the coins as Paris jumped onto him, letting go of Forest to screech again.What could he do with 60lbs of dog on him? Nothing is what.

Alien down. But not in immediate danger, or that was what Nica would think. And so she collected the coins, her suit working just like a vacuum, as Forest finally made his appearance. "Oh my God I'm sorry!" Forest said as he approached. Nica made no effort to run, but kept vaccuuming the coins. Forest looked at her, but she didn't look back, so he turned his attention back to Landon and the dog right away. "He does that" he excused the dog.

Landon laughed softly amidst the slobbery kisses of his dog. "I know. I'm his owner. He was just searching for help. He looked to the alien fish. "And he was frightened by that little fish in her suit. It looks like Paris' toy robot."

"Little fish" Forest repeated, his eyes fixing on Nica. Who felt adressed and therefore, turned. And blinked. There was no spark of recognition in Forests eyes either. "Hello little fish" that one just greeted, squatting to talk on one level with her. Nica though, crabbed off. She collected what she was here for and this got a little too spooky for her liking.

Landon pushed Paris off of him. "Sit, Paris." He stood up as Paris sat down. "Good boy."

"You scared the dog" Forest repeated. Beneath the hood, one of his ears leaned towards Landon and Paris, his gaze though stayed on Nica all the while. The fish looked like Megaminds Minion. And was controlling some kind of robot suit. So it should be intelligent enough to know what he said. "But now ... all is good?" he figured, actually looking at Landon again.

Landon nodded, reaching for the treat bag in his pocket so he could give one to the still shaking dog. "Yeah, he'll be okay."

"Okay." Well, that was easy. Forest smiled and got up, letting the fish sneak off when it was what it wished to do. Which was too bad. He'd liked to have a talk. He liked other aliens. But then again, this blue fella seemed to be one, too. "I'm Forest" Forest introduced himself. He reached out his hand once the blue man was done feeding his dog.

Landon wiped his hand of the crumbs. "Landon." He smiled, putting his hand in Forest's and shaking it. The bat alien was strange to him, he had never encountered another alien such as this.

"Good to meet you" Forest said, still smiling at Landon. As someone who was on the touchy side, he didn't miss the chance to extend his wing and touch Landons shoulder before they finished their handshake. "You were going somewhere?" He couldn't quite imagine this back-alley to be a place this one enjoyed to hang out in.

Landon nodded. "Actually yes. I was supposed to meet my friend at a local out door cafe, in account of Paris, and we got lost." Usually he drove everywhere, but he decided to take Paris out for a walk instead.

"I could escort you" Forest offered, his tone making it transparent that he'd not take a 'no' as an answer.

Landon smiled. "That would be nice. Thank you."

"No problem." Forest didn't even have an idea where to go really, and yet he took the lead, walking backwards, facing Landon. "Are you new here?"

Landon nodded. "Well, to this part of town, anyway." He had Paris at his side.

"Do you like it?" Forest felt responsible for the happyness of citizens. He walked next to Landon after all, for now ar least, and lead him to the main street.

Landon nodded. "Yeah. I've donated to places around this part of town, but have been so busy I could never really visit. So when my friend asked me if I wouldn't mind going out for lunch, I jumped at the chance. And Paris needed some exercise, making this a win-win situation." He smiled at Bruce. "What about you? You seem to know your way around here. Were you raised here?"

"Oh no, I'm not from here" Forest admit. "But I've been aound. Taking care everyone's happy and the day doesn't get ruined too much when there's some kind of event happening." So much about his boring hero job. "But what are you working as?"

"Oh," Landon blinked as Paris pulled ahead, only to stop at a fire highdrent, "that sounds exciting." Landon readjusted his arm so he could look at Bruce as he kept talking. "Well, more exciting than my job that is- I'm the CEO of UberMind industries, the tech company."

"Ohhhh." He didn't know what a CEO was, but he had an idea that it was something impressive. It rang a bell, definitely. "Was that your Minion?" Forest asked and peeked back where they came from. Megamind's usually came in a group of certain people: Minion, a reporter, Metro Man. He learned as much, over the years.

"Well, yeah. He was originally. We were seperated for years until recently. He was raised by humans, much like myself." Landon pet Paris on the head when he began to pull him along after sniffing the hydrant.

"He?" He wasn't sure if he should mention, but ... That one ... didn't sound male.

He was questioning... Hang on, he didn't think.. "Oh no, the one that robbed me-" though he willingly gave her the coins to keep it from hurting him- "wasn't my 'minion'. He's waiting for me at the cafe." And he was running late, Minion was most likely upset now. "We should hurry. You can even join us if you would like." He offered, as it was the least he could do.

"Oh I don't want to disturb. She robbed you?" That was an information he kinda hoped he'd gotten earlier! Forest adjusted his pace so they could walk a little faster.

"Well, she started to, but I threw coins at her to stop her from attacking me." Landon said, walking faster. "I'm not the bravest, I just didn't want to get hurt." He admitted.

"You could have called for help" Forest said, finding it a pity. He could have saved him and made a way more heroic appearance like this.

Landon shrugged, looking down in what could only be described as shame. "Yeah, but I didn't think about it."
