Putting down this story idea while it's still fresh in my head:
Chairon is the only Ultramarine in Titus's squad with a brain cell. IMHO he is also the best looking of the three. There is something that makes him VERY interesting though, and that's that he was alive when the Word Bearers nuked Calth.
During the Horus Heresy.
I heard it floated that there were early Primaris during the Heresy but that they were never deployed. Belisarius Cawl put them in stasis. So Brother Chairon is 10,000 years old even if he's only been fighting for maybe 50.
I can't begin to imagine the kind of alienation he must feel, not that he'd admit it. I'd like to see him interacting with other Primaris of his cohort.
When he meets other Ultramarines from Calth it must be very difficult because they don't know the Calth he did. No one they know does. So aside from time alienation he is effectively not even from the same world anymore,.

So first impressions
No spoilers Obviously because I've barely gotten far
Uhhh its fun and mindless uhhh Normal is hard XD
Its probably because im just bad at video games but like on Easy it feels like your 2 buddies actually do a lot more and funny enough I kept seeing their health lower more on easy vs normal which gives you the feeling of space marine 1... I'm alone fighting swarms
Uhhh so parrying the smaller enemies really helps but I could never seem to parry the larger enemies well
I'm wondering if I'd have a better experience with people in coop
I've unlocked Inferno mode and only question i have for that is do I have to play with randos?

Saw this in a review of Space Marine 2 (emphasis added):
However, hulking squadmates Gadriel and Chairon are distrustful of Titus' long absence, while Titus himself is frustratingly standoffish. This translates to a lot of catty snark – space marines are many things, but emotionally literate they are not – but we don't get to explore these tensions in any real depth, which leaves the story a little shallow. Dialogue can be boiled down to 10 hours of the word "brother," while the straightforward yet serviceable story rarely reaches beyond carrying players from one desperate shootout to the next.
So clearly the writers nailed Ultramarine dialogue.

I will never understand how anyone can defend Leandros; he is the epitome of the phrase “I would rather die than admit I was wrong.”
First he somehow decides that not being corrupted by a warp artifact is somehow evidence of corruption, how does that work? Is he stupid?
I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt that he didn’t know about the 200 years of misery, his accusation caused for Titus (100 years of torture at the hands of an insane inquisitor, 100 years as a Deathwatch Black Shield, grieving because he thought his brothers hated him.) because if Chapter Master Calgar didn’t know; there’s no way Leandros did.
But when Titus is finally returned to his chapter, what’s one of the first things Leandros says to him? To paraphrase; “no one here trusts you, you gotta re-earn their respect.” Which is a COMPLETE FUCKING LIE!
Gadriel and Chairon clearly admire him, and after their “I was horrible to you wasn’t I, I’m so sorry*” “you don’t have to apologize, I wasn’t treating you much better.” talk; Titus and Gadriel clearly consider each other friends.
*a sincere apology for wrongdoing! The truest mark of a good person!
In wh40k boltgun; Malum Caedo also greatly admires him, saying “I will finish the work Captain Titus started!” He also thinks quite highly of Sidonus as well, saying “Sidonus laid down his life for this planet! I protect his sacrifice!” (But he doesn’t mention Leandros at all, ha!)
Plus Calgar himself was overjoyed at his brothers return, and all of the secondary & background Ultramarines were perfectly polite and respectful for most of the campaign, which means literally only Leandros didn’t trust Titus!
And at the very end; after Titus & his team kill Imurah, banish a Lord of Change, and save Calgar’s life; Leandros says “I still don’t trust you lol, but I still requested you specifically for a super-special-secret mission that’s so important that I can’t risk operational security by briefing you over vox.” (Is he stupid?)
Fuck you Leandros, if Titus were to ever fall to heresy; it’d be because you pushed him over the edge, I hope Guilliman himself personally strips you of your chaplainship.

Why haven't I seen any love for Brother Chairon?
I want to see if I can do a conversion for him since I'm still slightly on an Ultramarine kick.

ah how sweet and heartwarming!!! ⸜(。˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡ pls hold these guys close, the horrors of the 40k universe must do numbers to their mental,,, id faint even seeing a cherub HSAJK-
Gadriel
Tries to be nonchalant about it. 'Oops, didn't mean to touch your hand..' type deal.
You don't buy it for a moment, though. If it was such an accident, why is it happening for the third time this week?
After a few more attempts at playing the cool guy facade, you go ahead and make the first move.
"You're so cute, Gadriel." You shoot him a knowing look, placing a chaste kiss on his cheek. "Oh, and that was an accident, too."
You'd run away, leaving the space marine behind.
Next time you wouldn't get away that easy. He'd grab your hand just before you would take off, and offer a rare smile.
Bonus points if Chairon happens to be walking by when it all goes down. He is NEVER gonna let him live that one down! "Oi, Lover Boy."
Chairon
A lot more straightforward than Gadriel. Who knows if he'll be here tomorrow? He makes it a point to tell you how he feels before it's too late.
Chairon holds your hands, one of his more than enough to encompass both of yours. He'll bring them to his face, your knuckles feeling the texture of his surprisingly soft lips.
He's a romantic at heart, one in a million in this world. Will pick you an exotic flower from whatever plant he was dispatched to. (This may or may not have lead to a fire in the barge. Captain Acheran scolded him about "getting laid at th expense of his brothers.")
He now settles for pretty rocks. A radiation risk waiting to happen, but I digress.
"I made sure to thoroughly clean off the guts this time." Chairon would lean against the door, surprising you with an early return. "I and don't just mean myself."
Titus
Imagine you're out assisting his squad on a mission. (Okay, lore accurate maybe not but work with me here. ;;) You hang back, providing fire from behind Titus, picking off any snipers.
You're too concentrated on your lover that you failed to notice the two hormagaunts jumping for your skull.
Titus, the knight in shining blueberry armor he is, rushes over to your rescue. He throws the first tyranid to the dirt, stomping it flat. You heard its thorax collapse under the weight of his boot, it's structure cracking and crumbling like rotten wood.
Once that was dealt with, Titus snatched the second bug out of the air. He put his hands on either side of its head, plunging his thumbs into it's now oozing eye sockets. As you fell backwards, your lover ripped the monster in half. The sight of it's organs stretching to accommodate the tear; it almost made you throw up.
"Are you alright?" Titus dropped the corpse to the ground, forgetting it in favor of you. You gazed up at him, your bloodied protector held out a hand for you to take.
And that's the story of how you first held hands with Titus. It was a lot more romantic to the man then it was to you.

Ultramarine Drink Preferences Part 1
Behold part 1 of a silly thought projection, because I refuse to believe they only drink wine and there's no variety in the 500 worlds. There's plenty of others I have been thinking about but I figured these guys will do for a start lol.
Marneus Calgar: The Chapter Master can have any kind of alcohol he could want; he keeps a few different kinds in his quarters for when he has guests over and he knows which they prefer. As for himself? Brandys are his go too, occasionally making a mixed drink for himself when he has some quiet time.
Varro Tigurius: Weaving spells and producing a good gin is not so different for Tigurius. The different botanicals used in the process changes the outcome, even when they are added can change it, not even his gaze knows the outcome. For Tigurius this is part of the reason he enjoys it and tries his hand at it sometimes.
Cato Sicarius: Still has access to his House’s vineyards back on Talassar, they occasionally send new bottles from fresh harvests or from a new grape species they’re working on. Prefers darker wines over lighter ones. If he likes you, he’ll give you a bottle too.
Demetrian Titus: Heavier drinks that are more meant for sipping such as whiskeys, usually a social drinker or fixes himself a new glass when settling in for several hours of reading or paperwork. Though his deathwatch brother Ulfar helped him get a taste for “mjod”.
Torias Telion: A bit of a generalist in his current age, will gladly drink whatever he’s offered. However…in his youth? Somewhere the advanced libraries of the Fortress of Hera there is a recipe for the Astartes equivalent of a Long Island Iced Tea, strong enough to drop a Space Wolf after one glass.
Severus Agemman: “Wine on the streets, whiskey in the sheets”, if it doesn’t have some kind of burn going down then he’s not going to enjoy it as much. Keeps a few different kinds in storage and cracks one open every few decades to see how the age changes it.
Malum Caedo: Mixed drinks, the brightly colored, vaguely fruity ones. No one will ever believe you, even if you had a pict of him drinking one though his helmet’s beak with a curly straw.
Gadriel: Prefers lighter, citrus wines but he’s still exploring his preferences, so it’s bound to change. Titus let him and Chairon try a bit of what he had left of his deathwatch brother Ulfar’s “special brew” and both of them felt like they were going to cough up an organ and swore “never again.”
Chairon: Anything that came from Calth, usually this means vodkas and whiskeys. occasionally trying a mixed drink using one of those if someone recommends something to him. Will roll his eyes if someone tries to start an argument over what is better. “Let’s not dull the mood and spoil the drinks” just…keep anything brewed by a Space Wolf away from his senses, thank you.

That you Keep
Author’s note: More Random shit. So- Malum Caedo in Boltgun was all like "I shall finish what Captain Titus Started!!" and that was adorable, for a Veteran Murder Machien of a Man. And like. Titus and Malum meeting in Space Marine 2 would be great since, clearly, he adored his Captain.
Summary: Veteran Sternguard Malum Caedo hears tell of his previous Captain, now Lieutenant Titus having survived and returned back to the Ultramarines.
Warnings: Smut. NSFT. uh... let me know if you need me to add anything here? Thanks y'all!

He had been walking from one part of the ship to the other when he'd heard some of the younger brothers who'd been initially created as Primaris Marines complain about their new Officer.
Gadriel complaining to Chairon about Lt. Titus, Malum paused and looked at his younger brothers in the Second Company and asked if they meant Demetrian Titus- and asked them certain questions about the identity of this Demetrian Titus.
Realizing that the Demetrian Titus that they are talking about is his Demetrian Titus has him asking them where he could find their Lt. They are a little taken back about his questions and vehemence, but they told him.
He thanked the younger brothers for telling him all of this as he headed to where Titus, his Demetrian is. Part of why he'd taken the Graia mission all those long years ago was to see if he could recover his body, since he had been told that Titus had died on that mission.
Part of him thought that had been a lie, and he's glad to know that his instincts on such a thing were correct. His Demetrian turns when he called out his name softly, a smile soft and gentle appears on Titus's face, if a little cautious.
Malum pulls of his helmet, "I am so glad that you are alive Metri."
"You thought I was dead?" Titus asks.
"Yes," Malum says, "Stars above, I have missed you, I had grieved your loss. I am glad that you have returned to us."
Something colder and harder in Demetrian's eyes softens and warms at that. An almost sparkle of something flashes in the other's eyes as he strides towards Malum as they move closer towards one another.
Malum reaches out and grabs one of Demetrian's arms who clasps his hand back as they tug each other lightly into a deep embrace. Titus notes out loud, "You feel stronger."
"Indeed- the benefits of crossing the Rubicon Primaris, successfully," Malum says proudly, "You too- seem stronger."
"I have also crossed the Rubicon Primaris," Titus says, pausing a little, "Did you choose to cross, or was it that or being turned into a Dreadnaught or death?"
"I chose to try to Cross the Rubicon," Malum says, "... What about you?"
"... Chapter Master Calgar chose for me to cross the Rubicon." Titus says.
"Ah, you are not the only Captain that our wonderful Chapter Master has decided such medical decisions for." Malum says quietly, lowly, "I have missed you, so much."
"I have missed you deeply Mal," Titus says as he lightly tugs his fellow turned-Primaris Marine with him to his private rooms.
Malum follows him eagerly as they go into Titus's room, Demetrian lets go of his hand for a moment and goes to his armor stand and hits the quick release button on his armor and steps out of it.
Malum follows suit with his own armor and within a blink of an eye, Titus is upon him. A clash of lips, tongue, and the clack of teeth as they press kisses and touches, desperate fingers touch and tease their paramor's skin and body.
"I have missed you, all these long, lonely years," Malum whispers, moaning into Titus's lips.
"Never chose another to bed?" Titus asks, half surprised, half pleased.
"None could compare to you," Malum said with a shake of his head, honest in his words as they continue to kiss and touch.
Demetrian presses his fingers to Malum's lips and he opens his mouth eagerly as he sucks on the other's fingers- helping lubricate them as Titus teases their cocks, by rubbing them against each other.
Malum groans in pleasure and the delicious friction as Titus flips Malum over and pulls his fingers away as he stretches Malum open with his fingers.
The pain and pleasure run up his spine in equal measure as he pleads, "Titus- fuck me, Please."
"In a bit, love, In a bit," Titus murmurs, "It's been a century for us both, love."
Malum whines a little at that and grinds his backside against Titus' fingers and cock. He hides a little smirk as he hears Titus's swearing of pleasure and the way the other picks up the pace on stretching him.
The feeling Titus's other hand lightly smacking his ass in punishment only enhancing the pain-pleasure-need-desire and he groans in pleasure as Titus pulls his fingers out of him.
He whines at the loss and Titus chuckles a little as he thrusts in, he had wanted to do so slowly. But the hot, tight feeling of Malum around him. Fuck it really has been so long. Has him thrusting all the way in fast.
Damn. This new body of his really is an upgrade. Stronger, faster, it's impressive. As he presses biting kisses into Malums neck and shoulder as he starts to thrust in and out of him.
Malum eagerly matching his pace rolling his hips and groaning in pleasure, while Titus groans in pleasure and murmurs filthy praise. It's embarrassingly quick how fast he cums, but is pleased that Malum doesn't take long to cum either.

Summary: Tiny!Titus and Dixie take on some moths.
“To me, great beast of war!” You hear Titus yell as you enter your home. You pause, a small smile appearing on your face as you see the tiny Ultramarine chase after several clothes moths, their sandy brown wings flapping frantically as he chases after them.
Dixie, your black cat, comes bounding down the stairs after Titus and the moths, chattering after the moths, tail tip flicking as he rushes after the other. Dixie swiftly over takes the tiny Ultramarine, bounding after the moth at top speed.
Not to be left behind, Titus leaps up and lands on Dixie’s back, one hand grabbing onto his collar, the other waving what he had told you was called a thunder hammer, yelling at the moths.
You press a hand over your mouth, fighting the urge to laugh or coo over how adorable the two of them were being, when you heard the distinctive metallic whine of a jump pack firing.
A second tiny blue and gold clad Ultramarine flies out from one of your shelves, a fierce(ly adorable) war cry of “Courage and Honor!” leaving him as he swings a teeny tiny chainsaw-sword thing at one of the buff colored moths, the sharp-toothed blade easily cutting through it.
A third Ultramarine comes swinging down from the light fixture from a thin metal rope, echoing his Brother’s war cry and forcing the moths to dip downwards to evade his blows -
Which puts them in Titus’ and Dixie’s attack range.
Your cat leaps up, front paws outstretched as he grabs onto one of the uninjured moths, his needle-sharp claws easily shredding through the moths’ fragile wings.
Titus uses Dixie’s momentum to take down the third moth by swinging his thunder hammer into it’s center mass, and the moth explodes onto your hardwood floors in a sticky mess of bug guts.
The other two Ultramarines take down the remaining injured moth within a second or two.
You clap and call out “Once more, you have vanquished terrible foes. Thank you for keeping my clothes safe, lords… Demetrian, who are your brothers?”
All three Ultramarines turn to face you, the two new Marines shifting into defensive stances before Titus called out “At ease, Gadriel, Chiron.” He introduces you to them, finishing with “These are two of my younger brothers, they have recently been placed under my command. We had stopped by to do a patrol of your home, when we found the moths and slew them.”
You nod, smiling a little “Thanks again. Are they staying for dinner? It’s lasagne tonight with garlic bread.”
“If… If you don’t mind…” Demetrian answers, shuffling his feet a little “I hadn’t realized you would be home earlier, otherwise I would have mentioned they were accompanying me.”
You smile brighter “Sure thing, Demetrian. And I’m glad that you’ve got Brothers to patrol with. THey’re free to stay here as long or as often as they like, so long as they follow the rules of the house -which I’m sure you’ve told them already?”
“That I have, my lady.” Demetrian responds, nodding a little.
Gadriel squeaks in surprise as Dixie comes over and starts licking the Ultramarien clean of the bug-guts that he is covered in “Lieu-lieutenant! What am I to do? The war-beast is-”
“Cleaning your armor. It’s a sign of affection and care, Dixie means no harm.” Titus soothes his younger brother, who relaxes somewhat.
“Why is he making that rumbling sound?” Chairon asks, tilting his head curiously as he could hear Dixie starting to purr.
“He is happy, and is making that sound to indicate his mood.” You chime in “Cat’s purring has been shown to help heal injuries faster, including broken bones. I’m headed off to the kitchen to start on that lasagne. Feel free to come watch or do whatever.” With that you head to the kitchen, humming softly to yourself.

Dreams
(Trying something new)
he does not know who he is. He does not recognize where he is. He looks down and sees his body, naught but a dark, incorporeal shape that swirls within light.
It’s dark. Through his peripheral vision, he can see colors. Swirling, beautiful colors. Stars dot the dark, yet aurora sky he floats through.
He swims through the nebulous sea and feels his body pass through the strange phenomena.
For but an instant, he is struck by wonder and dread. How far did this sea stretch for?
He swims through memories, he experiences smells, tastes and scents that feel so..tangible. So real. He dives into the thicker clouds of color, wanting to see more.
He sees…battle now. He feels the acrid taste of blood and ash, and battle thrill that hums so strongly it sends him reeling. He hears..familiar battle chants. As he submerged himself further a horrific realization came to him; the original owners of those memories no longer lived.
Something is starting to come back to him. His body starts to take on a recognizable form. The hissing shadow of his body starts to form into the flesh that could only belong to Demetrian Titus.
Anger grips him as he starts to recognize the situation. Familiar doctrines and litanies start to come back to him.
Abhor the machinations of the witch.
This was no normal dream. No conjuration of his mind. This was a trick of the warp, he was sure of it. He had to inform someone of this.
Light forms around his body, a brilliant, blinding golden light. It casts him out of the dream-nebula and sends him reeling back into real space.
He wakes up and smashes his fist into the steel wall of his small cot. He was free for now. There was no telling if it would come back.
“Brother?” A voice intones from the doorway. It is Chairon.
Titus lets out a breath he’d been holding since jolting out of his sleep. “I need to see the chaplain. Now.”

Who's angrier: brother Chairon who saw a Word Bearer, or Kharn?
In the moment Chairon would be angrier, but Kharn is able to sustain a greater level of general fury over extended periods (read: most of his life)
