queen of hearts x fem!reader where shes like a human cheshire cat where she isn’t afraid of the queen in the slightest and the only one who dares to tease her (and it pisses the queen off to no extent)
and the only reason it hasn’t been off with readers head is bc the queen secretly enjoys readers company. mayhaps with the “kissing them to shut them up” trope incorporated. idk sorry if this req is nonsensical 😭😭
🌹The Queen of Hearts x Reader🌹
Reader pronouns: She/her
Pairing: The Queen of Hearts x Fem! human Cheshire!reader
Plot: Wonderland is ruled by a cruel tyrant who shows no mercy to any. She has no heart and certainly no love. But one annoying cat seems to keep appearing by her side. A Cat that she has a lot of tension with.
Word count: 1.3k
Extra: This was succhhh a fun idea. QoH is big time crush of mine! She's kinda tricky to write though so I'm sorry if this is awful. I'm also starting classes again so my scheduled uploading is becoming a little more unorganized sorry
Wonderland is a curious place. It was very unpredictable, as were the people and creatures that lived there. It was never a place that was meant to be made sense of. And for a long time there was no order in the land.
But these past decades there had been. A mighty tyrant was crowned queen and made sure that everything in the kingdom of Wonderland stayed to her liking.
Curfew's, no games, no fun, and definitely no wonder. And that was something you just couldn't live by.
For a long time you only sat in trees and caused mischief and pranks to passerbys. Going around and causing as much chaos as you felt the need to. But you still always noted to stay clear from the castle. You broke every single one of the rules that the Queen enforced and she was not known for being very merciful.
Of course you would just be a smile away from your favorite tree and disappear from any restraints. But maybe it was safer to just stay away.
Well, you wouldn't be the Cheshire Cat if you played things safe, would you?
Of course you just had to meet the Queen herself! Such a respectable lady. Though she makes everything utterly boring, she herself was anything but boring.
She was quite the character, in fact. Or so you heard.
One day you decided to introduce yourself. As in, one day a lonesome grin appeared beside her while she was alone in her room. A smile with no eyes, a smile with no face. A grin that resembled the crescent moon. A grin that sung a tune of how odd she was.
The smile only giggled at her disturbed state. Then the smile spoke to her and she demanded you revealed who you were.
It took a couple weeks of only messing with her and disappearing before she could actually do anything about it before you revealed yourself fully to her.
And now, a couple years later, when you find yourself bored you appear before the Queen and see how far you can push her.
"I'm quite busy today and certainly not in the mood for your shenanigans. So get lost, cat." The Queen of Hearts said in her regal accent and her usual nasty attitude.
She didn't even have to look to know that you had appeared behind her. She had quickly picked up the skill of feeling when you were around.
"Oh my, you look radiant as always, your highness. Why the bad attitude?" You grin wide at her clearly stressed state.
She only scoffed and kept her eyes on the papers in front of her that she was reviewing. Being a queen unfortunately didn't mean pampered treatment 24/7. She felt it was ridiculous that she actually had to do this awful work, "Flattery gets you no where. Now like I said, shoo." The Queen waved her hand in one motion to signal you to leave.
Though you being you, you wouldn't go away so easily.
In a typical cat-like fashion, you hop on the table in front of her, knocking her papers to the side, "Don't be such a sour puss, Bridget." You say, your boot kicking aside the other books on her table as you stretched out.
The Queen was practically fuming now. She could not believe the absolute audacity of the lady cat in front of her. The way you thought you could talk to a queen like that and knock over her stuff? Absolutely unacceptable! "Do not call me that. It's Your Royal Highness to you. Now get off my table immediately." She yelled, standing up to be more assertive.
The grin on your face only widened further as you laughed, "So serious all the time..." You tease, turning over to lay on your side and pose as if you were trying to appear more attractive to her.
"I am your queen and you best do as I tell you or I will have the guards—"
"Do what? Imprison me? Behead me? Yes... I'm sure that will work like the other dozen times it has." You were really pushing your luck, cutting off the Queen like that.
She looked down on you, her eyes narrowing and the scowl on her face only intensifying. That look she gave you was the one that excited you most. The whole reason you do any of this just to see that gorgeous expression. An expression to die for. Literally.
"Now, for how long do you think you will continue to get away with denying a royal command?" She asked, drumming the tips of the red claws on her fingers against the table.
"For as long as I'd like." You hum to yourself, only making yourself more comfortable laying on the table.
Bridget did not seem pleased with the answer you gave. She prayed on day you'd cower at her command but you never did. Never have you ever shown any sign of worry or fright which welled overwhelmingly in her chest.
"But really it's your fault. You do give the dearest reactions." You continue on with a smirk.
"Is that so?" An eyebrow raised as her posture still held her high and her expression rock solid.
"Why, yes of course~" You giggle, "Your reactions... They're all so entertaining yet predictable. All of your adorable expressions only fuel my need to tease you more. Who could resist a person such as yourself? I'm lucky to have the opportunity to be in your presence and—"
But just before you could finish your endless yet flirtatious flattery, Bridget suddenly grabbed you by the collar of your top and jerked you close. Before you could make any kind of remark, she locked her lips to yours to silence you.
And for once, you were completely silent. No stupid grin and no stupid remark.
The kiss was far from gentle, you could've sworn the aggression of it could've bruised your lip. It also lasted longer than you could even imagine. Well, it definitely felt longer than you could imagine. Your hands threatened to wander to her waist but you weren't sure how she'd like that.
Though her hand still held the collar of your shirt, but her free hand held your leg to keep you in place, the claws on her fingers digging into you slightly.
Ame After what felt like forever, she finally pushed you away and leaving you to stumble back. You were left stunned as she turned her back to you.
"That seemed to be quite effective." She remarked, "Tell me, was that predictable as well?" She asked as if she was mocking you. As if she was the one playing with you like a toy rather than the other way around.
In truth, she was quite fond of you. You could believe you got away from her on your own all you like; but she'd never scentence you to death. As much as she'd rather die than admit it, she would feel disappointed the days you wouldn't show up. The days she was left alone on the throne with her kingdom and own daughter to hate her.
She always believed it was better to be feared than loved, that she couldn't be hurt that way. But she felt more alive when you were right beside her. She knew you didn't fear her, and as much as she tried to make you, you never did. And she loved it.
"Wow..." The grin suddenly appeared on your face once again, "You're right, your highness. I didn't see that one coming." You hopped off the table and approached her from being, dropping your arms over her shoulders and leaning against her back, "Perhaps we should do it again~" you smirk.
"Get off of me, you miserable fiend. You're ruining my dress." She commanded, shrugging you off of her.
You back off with an even bigger grin, "You're quite rough, maybe we'll be a little more gentle next time?" You suggest.
"There isn't a next time. Get away before I shut you up in a way you won't find very pleasing." She threatened, shooing you with her hand.
"I just love when you threaten me." You mock a dreamy sigh.
The Queen only scoffs in disgust and rolls her eyes. How could a kitty be so insufferable and endearing at the same time? She swore you'd be the death of her.

Life was Sweet
Pairings: Queen of Hearts x Reader
Request: hi!! could i request the queen of hearts x mad hatter!reader, whos known her since before the prank, and still stuck around with her because theyre loyal. and theyre always trying to help her open up and have a little fun, so she can be her true self again!
Genre: Fluff
Note: it was kinda hard to write for the Queen of Hearts as only her mean side was shown but I truly believe that Bridget is still in there somewhere.
You had been by The Queen of Heart’s side even before she was The Queen of Hearts. Your best friend used to be Bridget, one of the sweetest princess in Merlin academy.
But now, in everyone else’s eyes, she was the cruelest Queen there had ever been. ‘Off with their heads’ rolls down her tongue as natural as walking for a normal person.
Any normal human would turn their backs against the Queen once they knew it was too late for her to be the sweet Bridget again, but you were never normal.
“Bridget, you’ve gotta stop being so harsh on Red.” You tried to reason with the Queen as she walked around your room and you were starting to feel dizzy.
It was midnight when a sudden explosion bursted your doors open, revealing the Queen of Hearts. Then 2 hours later, she was still in your room complaining about her daughter while touching and messing up your precious stuff.
“I told you to address me by my title!” The Queen glared at you but you chose to ignore her fiery gaze, no matter how much she threatened to chop your head off you knew she would never find the heart to do so. No matter how small it became. “And last time I checked, she is my daughter! Not yours!”
“She might as well be, I helped raise her!” You shouted, startling Bridget and even yourself at the outburst. You muttered an apology before taking a sip of focus potion to wake you up fully. You were so out of it after only getting 2 hours of sleep.
“Whatever, the point is she’s only a kid, she’s in the phase where she needs to figure out who she is. And who she is definitely isn’t you.” You slowly approached her, putting a hand on her shoulder In comfort while also trying to knock some sense into her.
“Remember when we were teenagers and all the fun we had? Your parents were never as controlling as you are with Red. Maybe we should bake cakes together again like the good old days!”
“Fun? I remember how much fun they all had when I was weak, gullible, and humiliated! Luckily you were sick or you might as well be dead to me like everyone else that was there!” The Queen exclaimed, her hands laid on a knife you were heating up earlier.
Your heart sunk deeper at the reminder of the day when your lives changed forever. You and Bridget had always been friends, since babies. Your parents practically raised you both together as both of your Kingdoms were united.
Ella came in view when you and Bridget arrived at Merlin academy, in a way she was her own person but she just felt like one of you guys so it wasn’t surprising how quickly the three of you got along.
Your friendship was great, well until one fateful day when everything changed. For worse.
The three of you planned to go to the dance together seeing as Bridget badly wanted to go, you and Ella never really liked those things but agreed to go anyways, for Bridget.
Just a day before the night of the dance, you had gotten terribly sick and chose to stay in your shared dormitory with Bridget. Your friends wanted to stay and look after you but you didn’t want to ruin their fun, especially Ella after you overheard Prince Charming talking about asking her out to dance.
If only you knew the outcome, you would’ve begged them not to leave your side.
A few hours after the night started, you were woken up by loud noises wandering around your dorm. You couldn’t make out who it was as you were too sick to move, but you knew it was Bridget from the second she mumbled about getting revenge of some sort.
But that was it, after that night, you weren’t getting any better so your parents took you back home to let the family doctor take care of you.
When you became healthy enough to go back to school, everything changed. Everyone avoided Bridget as if she was a plague, even Ella. And it pained you that you never asked what really happened, all you knew was that you’ll be by Bridget’s side no matter what.
So when King Beast and Queen Belle decided to unite all the Kingdoms, only yours and Bridget’s Kingdom rejected their peace offering. And as a result, your Kingdom and hers were forever blocked from ever going out of your Kingdom’s land.
“Bridget! Are you alright?” You immediately dropped all your belongings and rushed to her aid. The Queen flinched in pain when you accidentally pressed on her wound, “Sorry!”
You gently pulled her to sit down on a chair before using your free hand to grab one of your healing potions. “This is going to stink for a while. Are you okay?” you gently held her hand before looking up, right into her eyes. The same eyes you would get lost in every time you looked, and she looked at you the same way.
Suddenly it was like she was a teenage girl again, when life was sweet. Remembering the sparks that would go off whenever you held her hands as you placed on a bandage when she accidentally burnt herself while you guys were on your weekly baking date. The way you would hold her so warmly that all her senses would go off and all she wanted to do was be in your arms forever.
The feelings she had that got locked up when she became the Queen of Hearts, what she didn’t know was that she had already taken yours and you had forgotten it too.
You both came back to your senses when the sound of a thunder was heard, immediately moving apart from each other. You dropped her hand in panic and she was starting to miss that feeling. And she didn’t like feeling that feeling one bit.
“Oh, umm…do you want to bake a cake together? Unless you want cookies or cupcakes or both!” Your question was more like a demand since you gave her no chance to speak, grabbing her hands while ignoring the old butterflies that had finally grew wings again.
“We’re going to make cookies!” You claimed once you and Bridget arrived at your kitchen, you usually prefer for your bakers to make whatever you desire but baking it yourself just felt perfect at this time around.
The whole situation felt awkward at first, you weren’t used to being the one talking. Bridget was usually the one who starts and ends the conversations, mostly ranting about problems in her own Kingdom and her daughter.
But ever since that moment you shared, she had been quiet and weird, it was like her body was there but she wasn’t quite herself. It wasn’t too bad since she actually did help with mixing up the ingredients. But you really hated feeling awkward around your best friend. You terribly wanted to break the ice, so you did.
“Oh, you got something there.” You slowly headed her way, reaching out near her face pretending to get a non existent thing off her face. “Right…there! Ah HAH!” you grinned as you threw flour to her way.
Bridget stayed still, at first you thought that that would be the end of your precious head but then you saw a smile grew on her face as she did the same back. “I’m not letting you get away so easily!”
After almost 17 years, you finally found a way to see old Bridget again. You really never appreciate the small moments until it is taken away from you.
“Game on, my Queen!”
Half an hour later and the whole kitchen was filled with flour, the room was basically whiter than Snow White herself. You and Bridget laughed all night before taking a break on the floor.
“Remember when we used to have those weekly baking dates and it would always end up with flour all over the place?” You reminisced of your younger days as you settled yourself down next to Bridget. Leaning on her shoulders gently, a habit of yours since long long ago.
“Your mother would get so disappointed and made us clean it ourselves but we still did it again. Of course I remember.” Bridget smiled but not like the smile she usually does when ordering guards to cut people’s head off, this was different, genuine, and for a moment you saw the same look she used to hold before everything changed.
The look that had you lost in time and all you could do was look at her like she was the only one who existed in your world.
“I love you.” You nervously blurted out. One of the things you hated the most since birth was hiding your own feelings, it was suffocating, especially since you were hiding from the person you practically spent your whole life with.
And for a moment, you thought she won’t feel the same way. After all, you guys never addressed the situationship you had going on. It was greatly pushed aside after all the problems Bridget faced after that sorrow night.
“You do?” The Queen’s eyes grew soft as she looked back at you, her hands gently caressing your face.
“I always have, and always will. I loved you since that day you defended me from those bullies even though they were twice your size, we were twelve. You were always the sweetest, even to people who never deserved it.” You chuckled, it was bittersweet but at least you and Bridget had always been by each other’s side, no matter what.
Even if, for the past 20 years you guys had to push aside your true feelings for each other.
“I planned to come clean about my feelings to you years ago but as you know, time loves to mess with u-“ your words were cut off when Bridget leaned in, using her finger to lift your chin up before pulling you in for a long much needed kiss.
The softness of her lips almost took your breath away. The longing and desperate feelings that had been built up were release as you melted into her hold.

Savior
Bridget Hearts 🩷 x fem reader
it's so shit I'm so sorry, but i feel like every idea just flees out of my head atm 🥲
"I will destroy you!" Uliana roared, preparing herself to run after Bridget. Eating too many flamingo feathers had its side effects, and it was about time she found out that when someone says 'don't do it' you simply listen.
It enraged you. She was so stupid, yet everyone feared her. How so? You'd never understand why they didn't stand up to her. What would she do? Run after you? It was all she was capable of, after all.
You needed to put a stop to her dumb frantics, so you stepped up with your dagger, holding it close to her neck.
"Oooo, we dont wanna do that, do we?" You grinned, basically threatening her with death. It was exciting, thrilling. Being just a step away from getting rid of someone, having that power over them. Being in a possession of their life thread, having the scissors steady in your hand. It was amusing to you. The goosebump on your skin shows from the rush you felt deep inside.
The dagger you held so close it was pinning her skin, making a slight dent. Her breath on hold. "I suggest you step away from our princess of hearts or you'll make an excellent sushi tonight, darling." You mirrored her peers' shocked expressions. None of them daring to step up to you. You were feared amongst them, being slightly older than the rest of the students, and kind of crazy too. It had its advantages having your twisted history behind.
"Marinated octopus. How does it sound?" Or would you like something last season? Shrimp pasta?" You smiled ominously, pricking the sharp end deeper in her neck, almost making it bleed. You could sense the blade cutting her first skin, making her immediately stumble back.
"You- You're mad!" She managed to yell out, holding her fresh wound before she took her turn, walking away, or should you say, basically running away. Your graceful dagger flew after her pinning itself right beside her head, trimming her friends hair in the process.
"Might be, just a little bit" you giggled, making the blade return to you with a swift wave of your hand. Turning yourself to the other group, you fixed your button-up shirt. Red and Chloe standing in awe at how well mannered you seemed even though you almost committed murder right in front of their eyes. Red thanking you internally for saving her mother. "But aren't we all?" You grinned, your cheshire cat-like smile making everyone around you blush. You were charming, to say the least, although it was not thanks to your name. "Look at that," you pouted, pointing at the shattered plate in front of you. "She wasted such good cupcakes. What a shame"
"Don't worry, Y/n, i think I have enough for everyone!" Bridget smiled brightly. "Thank you for your savior service" She bowed jokingly, giving you one of her famous smiles in return.
"And look at you cupcake, How could anyone not like you?" You waved your hands in the air, making her broken belongings whole again. Holding it our for her. "This plate was too pretty to be broken. Dont let yourself be broken, beautiful, " you winked before dissappearing into thin air. Red and Chloe blinking a couple of times to check if they saw right.
"Woah, who was that? Hot, sexy and amusing?" Red spoke up, getting a glare in return from both Bridget and Chloe. "I'm just saing" the girl threw her arms in the air in a defensive manner.
"That was Y/n. We don't really know much about her" Bridget dreamily explained, holding her beautifully decorated plate close to her chest.
"Only that she's done some horrible stuff. And she's kinda insane" Ella blabbered, rolling the cupcake trolley.
"It was for good!. And she's right, we're all mad here" Bridget butt in, snapping herself out of her daydreams.
" If you can call cutting someone's lim-"
"Ella, they don't have to know that" bridget laughed nervously, taking another plate from her trolley "She's not that bad how they make her out to be-here you go-" The pink haired princess walked around giving out more of her delicious cupcakes. "She is actually so nice-"
"She commits crime at least 3 times a week, and her go-to 'entertaining' hobby is watching people stumble and fall over this tree root" Ella butt in pointing at the object.
"But, she paints me pink roses and brings me many different ingredients for my sweets. Isn't that nice?" Bridget hummed, making red and chloe look at themselves
"Do you think what i think?" Red whispered to her fellow 'friend', the other just nodding her head.
-
"You know, I think you should ask Bridget out for castlecoming" Red blurted out while walking after/stalking you around the school.
"Yeah? Why is that so?" You giggled, holding a book about baking. You were currently at the library, just trying to make your way to the comfy corner made specifically for residents of the library. Unfortunately, you couldn't use it if you weren't reading a book of some sort. Hence why you took ahold of whatever, with intentions of taking a nap in the place.
"Well, you seem to be liking her, aaaand she seems to be liking you too" You laughed, you loved being in these kinds of situations.
"Well loves, what made you think I like this princess?" You looked up from your book, you let's be real, were not paying attention to. The question made them rethink everything.
"You-She-em" Chloe tried, but nothing made sense
"I guess she's alright" You grinned at their troubled expressions.
Princess of hearts was more than alright. She was everything and nothing at the same time. She was the air you breathed and the hard ground you walked on. She is like the ocean breeze early in the morning, the sunbeams lightly musking your face and the cold water splashing your body. She lit up the whole room with her bright eyes and cute smile. Like a walk through a rainy forest, she made you content and calm. Her delicate and soft features fairly contrast to your strong ones. It made you only more drawn to her.
"Wouldn't you want to take her out?"
"You're very persistent. interesting" you hummed "And why would I do that, Red my love?" You flew up from your comfortable place, spinning around doing flips. Red grimacing at the nickname, Chloe glaring at you "Chill Charming" The snort you let out made chloe burst out one of her own "I will take your mommy to the dance Red. Don't want her turning out evil, do we?"
"How do you-?"
"Well, I might have or have not overheard you twoooo, talking maybee" You flew circling them both, extra dragging your words making them annoyed "Aboouut an evil Queen who likes to behead people, whom also happened to be your mom and she sentenced your mom to death" You grinned spitting it all out in one breath "Crazy little woman"
"So now you know"
"Yeah, that's what I said. Are you deaf darling?" She was ready to jump you but got stopped by Chloe, thankfully. "I'm going, my children. I have to make a proposal for your mom now, do i?"
"Only my mom not hers!"
"Of course!" You laughed, dissappearing in the frame.
-
"Hello Bridget" You whispered into her ear appearing behind her. Your lips musking her skin. she stopped breathing for a hot second, staring intensively at her notebook. A beautiful yours heart shaped necklace with lots of cards and sweets drawn on the page. Her slender manicured fingers held onto a pencil, touching up some lines. "That is amazingly jaw-dropping." You kept on whispering
"Thank you" She whispered out herself, turning her head to the side. Her lips almost touching yours in the process. Her big brown eyes dropping down to your lips, then back up to your own enchanting ones.
"You know if you want to kiss me, you just have to ask" You leaned closer, bumping your noses together, giving her your biggest grin possible.
"What if i do?" Her sudden confidence made you stumble a bit back, but her quick grip on your collar dragged you in closer "...want to kiss you" she breathed out into your lips. you felt every bone in your body snap.
"Then we might just have to do that" You looked down on her lips, almost closing the blank space between you two if it weren't for the sudden yank of your shirt from the back.
"Please don't do that here" Red grimaced, secretly smirking when she saw you on the ground.
"Party pooper!" You floated up placing yourself between two girls. "Ohh, such a sunshine!" You threw your arm around Ella, the girl too stiff to shrug it off.
"Whatever"
"Sooooo, Ella tell me how's it going with little prince Charming" You grinned against her cheek, she blushed hard at the mention of him
"Did he ask you to the castle coming yet?" Bridget asked excitedly, almost pushing you off the bench.
"He did, but I'm not going. i think i made my point clear-"
"Oh c'monnnn. At least he asked you" Bridget pouted "I wish someone would ask me" the girl dragged, looking down on her drawing, popping her head on her palm. Red looked at you, raising her eyebrows.
"Cupcake" with just a single word everyone was looking at you, not a bit of your confidence faltering away. With a wave of your hand a pink rose appeared, well developed with only a single thorn and two leafs. "Could I take you to castle coming?" you asked in all seriousness, presenting her the rose. Her eyes widened at your gesture.
"Well, there weren't any roses for me, surely," Ella grinned, wiggling her eyebrows at the other girls.
"So what do you say, princess?" She threw her arms around your neck, engulfing you in a tight hug.
"Hell yes! I'd love it, actually. " She smiled widely, giving you a kiss on the cheek. You felt the blood rushing in you. You loved the feeling of her lips on you, her touch. She was so soft, like a pillow. So delicate. It made you want more.
You never thought about the princess of hearts that way. Actuallyy you did, once or twice. But before that, she was always just there. Just someone you'd defend before Uliana and her crew. Someone who did cool card tricks and someone who was so easily prank-able. But you wouldn't dare. She was good-hearted, almost perfect. No one was that pure, and still, here she was, pure as the driven snow. A pretty girl there was no denying. You've never imagined what her touch would feel like if it lingered on you a bit more than a few seconds. Or if she's keeping any secrets, she had to, right?
-
"You know Bridget, you look absolutely gorgeous" You smiled, not sarcastically, a true genuine smile you haven't done for years. It made her blush for the millionth time this evening.
Your hands were resting on her small waist, hers on your shoulders, making her fingers intertwine on your neck. Slowly swaying your bodies together in the rythm of the music. Not your thing completely, but her presence changed it entirely. It was probably the last song of the night, leaving only a few couples in the ballroom. But you both had such great fun you wouldn't wish on heavens to go home right now. Just being here with her was the right place, and you felt it deep inside.
"Thank you" Was all she made out "Thank you for taking me here" She laid her head on your chest, placing you both even closer.
"No worries. I could do it a million times if it meant getting to spend time with you. My heart" you swayed both of you slowly, the song never ending.
"I loved tonight, I'm glad im here with you. I hope we'll be able to spend more time together" She looked up at you, her big brown eyes staring closely and longingly. Your heart is beating rapidly in your chest. You placed your hand in her hair, grabbing the back of her head.
"Of course we will. I'm making sure of that" Her eyes lit up, brightening the whole room for you. You were absolutely in awe, speechless. She had never looked better. The dim lights only making her singular features pop more. No one will ever look better than her.. At least you won't be looking at them. You've got your only one star, your moon. She was not yours, but she will be. "Can I kiss you?" The sudden question did not startle her in fact she did not mutter a word. A single nod with a smile was all that it took.
You will be her savior forevermore

𝗦𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗧 𝗖𝗥𝗨𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗡' || 𝗕𝗥𝗜𝗗𝗚𝗘𝗧
pairings: bridget x fem!reader
summary: tired out of your mind, you confessed to Bridget.
genre: fluff
one-shot; wc: 1.2k
main masterlist bridget masterlist
a/n: i apologise for not posting yesterday but i did not feel well bc of the heat, like what the fuck, why is it so hot, but here i am with a one shot for the lovely Bridget, because i am down bad for this girl both the character and the actress, Ruby Rose Turner…the woman that you are.
It had been a long day or rather, a long week for you. Midterms were coming and you were panicking, studying never came easy for you, so you have to study twice as hard than everyone else to receive a passing grade, which caused you to cram all night long, with no sleep, while during the day, as student body president, you were required to patrol the halls and then di extra curricular activities, you didn’t have time to study at all during daylight.
By the end of the week, you were like a walking corpse, eye bag clinging to your under eyes, slouching not caring whether you were about to bump into something or someone.
Friday afternoon, walking to your after school club, dragging your feet with your eyes barely staying open, to others you look like zombie, some students looked at you with worry but none cared enough to actually help you that is until you bumped into a certain bubbly pink haired girl.
The sound of a falling metal tray startled you, watching the seen in front of you, you panicked when you saw a bunch of pink cupcakes on the floor, looking back at the girl, she just looked at at you horrified.
“Bridget! Oh my god, i am SO SO SORRY!” You said apologetically as you were about to lean down to grab the fallen tray and cupcake a hand grab at your forearms stopping you, you look up to see Bridget’s worried eyes.
“Y/n? Are you ok?” Bridget asked, you were confused as to what she was talking about.
“Yeah? Why?”
“Your eyes..” realising what she was talking about, you immediately pulled your arm away from her hand, grabbed the cupcakes and the tray before handing it back to her hurriedly.
“Im sorry again” you said before rushing away from, sudden burst of adrenaline from embarrassing yourself in front of your crush.
How can you forget about the eyebags surrounding your eyes, you almost look like Hook with his eyeliner from how dark your eyebags are.
After basically running to the fashion club, you were even more exhausted than before, causing you to poke yourself self while sewing a shirt, it would’ve been fine if it happened once or twice, but as the hour passed, the other members couldn’t help but look at you everytime you say “ow”.
“Y/n? You good, girl?” The club president asked, but you didnt hear her.
“Y/n? Y/n!” The president shook you wake when she noticed you actually had your eyes closed while using the machine.
“Wa-what?” You said blinking your eyes back open.
“Y/n, i think you should go get some sleep”
You fake chuckled “whaaat? Im fine, im totally awake” you said activating the machine again but your eyes began to close once more.
“Nope, you’re not, c’mon” the president said before grabbing you and dragging you out of the room with you mumbling protests, it was clear very very crystal clear that you were exhausted.
The president was silently scolding for not taking care of yourself but once you reached the courtyard, you felt as if you were handed to another pair of arms, much softer arms and mmmm they smell good too.
The only part you heard of their conversation was “i’ll take care of her” before you were once again dragged away.
You looked drunk from how much you were stumbling and babbling about being “super awake and super energised” you heard the person carrying you chuckle and you recognised it as Bridget’s laugh, but you didnt have the energy to even blush around her.
As she guided you back to your dorm, she scolded you about needing to manage your time better and taking better care of yourself which made you sulk a bit.
When you arrived in front of your dorm, you were already passed out in her arms, making it hard for her to ask you for the keys of your dorm so she checked your pockets and that made you giggle in your sleep.
"𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘬𝘭𝘦𝘴" you said murmuring.
Bridget chuckled opening your door. She guided you to your bed, making sure to lay you down carefully but what you said made her drop you to your bed but you didn’t even realise as you close your eyes snuggling into your blanket.
"𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙞 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪, 𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩?" 𝘯𝘰. 𝘴𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘪𝘥 𝘯𝘰𝘵.
The next day you woke up more active and aware of your surroundings, but what made you confused is why Bridget is talking to you and blush-y around you, not that you minded of course, you just don’t know why.
It went on for the rest of the day, she was happily talking to her, so she confronted her about it.
“Bridget, im sorry, why are you talking to me?” You said, and the girl suddenly looked confused and hurt.
“Not that i mind, of course, in fact i enjoy it a-lot, its just…you never really talked to me this much before, did something happen?” You defended immediately.
“Well, yesterday you said-“ she hesitated noticing the confused look on your face “ you know what, nevermind” she said smiling but you can see that it wasn’t a genuine one.
“Im just gonna go” she said attempting to leave but you grabbed her wrist.
“No, please tell me what i said yesterday” you were dreading to know what you said.
“Um, well….you said you liked me, but you were totally buzzed out yesterday so i understand that you didn’t really mean it, so no worries” she hurried say with nervousness in her voice.
“Oh. My. God. Bridget, i am so sorry, i didn’t want to confess that way.” You said blushing, embarrassed about your actions from yesterday “you know, you can totally reject me immediately, you don’t have to let me down slowly or whatnot, i don’t want to force you to hang out with me, just because you know i like you” you said apologetically.
“No, y/n, i li-“ Bridget said.
“You’re too kind that you cant even say it, oh my goddd, i totally get it, no hard feelings, you dont have to say it, im gonna go now so- yeah” you said turning around to leave.
The next thing you knew, lips were pressed against yours. Your eyes widen at the sudden situation, you saw Bridget with her eyes closed ACTUALLY kissing you.
'𝘰𝘩 𝘮𝘺 𝘨𝘰𝘥. 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘶𝘤𝘬' you thought and when the situation finally registered in your brain you kissed back and you felt her smile against your lips.
When you pulled away, you looked at her shocked “𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙪𝙪𝙪𝙘𝙘𝙠..." you whispered while touching your lips making her chuckle.
She grabbed both of your hands as she stepped closer to you.
“I like you too, silly” she said bashfully.
“Oh my god, you’re so cute” you said dazed making her blush.
“Aren’t you going to ask me?” Bridget said fidgeting with her hands.
“Ask you?” Youre brain was NOT working at all.
“To be your girlfriend?” She smiled shyful.
“Oh-“ you were short circuiting “oh!” you cleared your throat.
“Bridget, would you do me the honor of going on a date with me and becoming my girlfriend?” You smiled.
“YES! YES! YES!” She squealed hugging you “i’ve been dreaming of that question for so long”

Duty is to her
Pairing: Bridget Hearts x Fem!reader
Genre: Fluff
Warning: kissing
Summary: Reader and Bridget are attending a party and notice Bridget was getting tired so you decided to step in.
Being the princess and the next ruler of your kingdom, you are expected to go through all sorts of training, education, classes and more in preparation for your coronation and to inherit the throne from your parents. You have hours of classes, discussion of various topics from your basic education to politics, history of your kingdom and all the other neighboring kingdoms, etiquette classes, dance lessons, how to manage your kingdom and many more.
You also undergo training not only with physical activities such as fencing, ballet, horseback riding, and many more. But your parents also added managing paper works and affairs happening in the kingdom for you to be familiarize with, along with hours and hours of discussion with other officials, and to also prepare for the future mountain of works that will probably pile in your desk as soon as your in charge.
Needless to say, you have been very busy with all your duties and since you're still young and wanting to have a social life, you also attend school so that adds up to the mass of work needed to be done. It’s hard to be the princess and heir to the throne.
Being the princess, it is also one of your duties to attend various events such as balls, charities, parties, or any sort of royal gathering. There, it will test how good you are able to recognize and know the other royals, to mingle, chat, interact and meet more other people.
But with everything happening in your daily life, there is one person that has been by your side each time. Princess Bridget of Hearts. She is the daughter of the rulers of Wonderland, their family is a close friend of your family. She is also attending Merlin’s Academy with you and the two of you have been inseparable ever since you bump into each other in the hallways of the academy.
“I can’t wait to visit”
You heard from across the room, you turn to look for the owner of the familiar sweet voice, to see Bridget talking with the other guest. The pink-haired princess has the personality and the energy to draw in people to her direction. She’s the most kindest, sweetest, approachable and brightest person you’ve ever meet. Yet it still baffles you how she claims that you and Ella are her only friends in the academy.
Right now, it was winter break and most of the students in Merlin’s Academy went home to spend the holiday with their families. You and Bridget were no exception and right now their parents had ask them to attend this party much to your dismay since you planned on relaxing during your winter break but when you heard that Bridget is also coming, reluctantly, you agreed but with a little enthusiasm inside especially knowing that the particular pink princess you quite adore and have been for a while now, will be coming.
“Of course” You watch as Bridget giggle again after her reply to whatever they were saying.
You had been unfortunately separate with different people wanting to talk to you and not wanting to appear rude to them, you indulge in their conversation and try to at least look like you were interested but sometimes would still steal glances at a certain pink-haired princes just across the room.
At least she’s having fun. You thought as you tried to avert your eyes from Bridget’a figure and refocus your attention on the conversation with your group.
“Yes I’ve contacted with them and had their support on the matter” you replied. You may have master the art of communication and forming connection but that doesn’t mean you’d enjoyed it since you’d very much like to be with your princess rather than having this formal conversation.
At an early age, you’ve been attending party to party so you’re quite use to all the standing, talking and polite smile. Like the perfect princess but Bridget, on the other hand is still getting use to attending this sort of parties so you can’t really help but worry.
After a few minutes you glance back to where Bridget was again just to check on her. That’s when you notice Bridget was getting tired and is only fighting to stay and keep up with conversation.
It is getting late and Bridget hadn’t had enough rest since yesterday with all the preparation for the party going on.
You took that as your cue to leave.
“Excuse me everyone but I may have to retreat for the night, enjoy the rest of the evening.” You said, curtsying before biding your farewell to them.
The group said their goodbyes in understanding before continuing their conversation. You gracefully walk towards where Bridget’s group.
Bridget still has a smile on her face but you already notice how she was trying to stay awake.
“Excuse me ladies but I might have to steal Bridget from you” you said smoothly as you swiftly take Bridget’s hand and pulled her away from her group. The girls giggle and let you both go as they continue on their own again.
In just a few minutes, Bridget was already leaning on to you as you walk out of the ballroom. The moment the door close behind them, Bridget let out a sigh of relief. Her fatigue kicking in already as she cling on to you for support.
You chuckled and wrap your arms around her waist as you support her weight with your body. “Tired?” You ask the princess who’s eyes are already half close.
Bridget nodded, her eyes are now close as she soaks in the warmth of your body. The ballroom may be buzzing with guest but she still feels cold from the lack of your presence.
Truth be told, she was having fun meeting everyone but she still yearns to be with you since the only reason why she agreed to attend is because she was inform that you’d be there. And you were but she didn’t expect that she would only spend a few minutes with you before you were whist away by the other guests in the party.
The corridors were empty since most of the guest are at the ballroom and the staff are either attending to the party's needs or have already retreated to their quarters.
Since Bridget was already tired to walking straight on her own, you had to half carry her as you guide her to her bedroom.
Bridget notice the direction they were going and stopped.
"what's wrong?" You asked looking at the princess in your arms.
"can I stay in your room?" Bridget asked softly but you still heard her.
You smiled and agreed before changing course to the direction of your bedroom.
“We stayed longer than expected.” You said as you open the door to your room, finally.
You lead Bridget's half asleep figure to your bed. Walking here was hard enough due to the heavy dresses you were wearing and the heels weren’t much help. You tried to gentle pry Bridget’s embrace from your body as you lay her down on your bed. You left out a breath of relief as you had successfully lay Bridget’s body on your bed.
After you remove the torture device on your feet that people called shoes, you started removing Bridget’s gown and her own shoes and change them to a much more comfortable sleeping attire before proceeding to remove her complicated hairdo. Then after that you pulled out the make-up remover kit on your vanity table. Gently, you stared removing the layers of makeup on Bridget’s face carefully not to wake her up and disrupt her peaceful state.
During the process, you couldn’t help but admire Bridget’s beauty as she closely examine her face, making sure no makeup was left.
For months you have been close with Bridget but never this close and intimate. You have always been there to care for her, to be here for her as she did to you in those months with each other. Unknowingly that your time together had brought feelings inside you. Feelings that you’re not quite sure what they are yet but slowly, you’re starting to realize them as time past by and you couldn’t help but fear for what it may cause and affect your relationship now.
The thought of losing Bridget, fuels the growing fear so in conclusion, you buried those feelings deep down to remain what you two have now. But sometimes you couldn’t help but wonder what would it be like. To be more than just friends.
Just imagining it made you sigh, one last look, making sure no make up was left. You smile on your work before starting to change as well.
With her last bit of consciousness, Bridget stir from her sleep, her hands started moving, searching for something. When she realize that she was alone, she lifted her head up to see you just putting on the last sleeping garment before you sat infront of your vanity mirror to remove your make-up.
Bridget couldn’t help the frown forming on her lips, you were still far from her. Slowly she got up from the comfort of your bed and wobble to your direction.
You didn’t notice Bridget had got up from bed since you had your eyes close as you remove your eye shadow. A soft squeal left you when you felt someone’s arms wrap around your shoulders.
“Bridget?” You called out to her, she was still half asleep.
“Come to bed. Please” she mumbled to your ears.
“But I’m not done removing my make up yet” you said but then what she did next was unexpected.
Bridget let you go from her embrace before placing herself on your lap,. with her legs on each side, your hand automatically rest on her waist to steady her figure. You were confuse to what was happening but you sat still as Bridget pull the wipes from the table and began to remove the rest of your make up she may be sleepy but each stroke was firm but gentle at the same time. Removing the remaining make up, she took one last look when there wasn’t any left she cupped your checks with your hands making you look into her eyes.
Bridget was still half asleep so her body was still a little unstable as she slowly leans forward, your faces were only centimeters apart now.
“You’re really pretty’” she mumbled with a smile on her face.
You couldn’t help but smile at that. Everything seems to fade around them as you gaze into each other’s eyes. But yours keeps flickering from her eyes to her lips, plump and pink even without lipstick. So close yet still so far away.
For a while, you didn’t know what you felt. At first, you thought these feelings were the same feelings you felt for Bridget, the love for a very close friend but this moment confirms your realization. You wanted her, you needed her. You wanted something more, more than just classmates, more than just friends. You wanted to be something more with her and only her.
It took everything in your power not lean in and kiss those lips, which was the only thing running in your head, her lips. But then . . .
“Are you gonna kiss me or not?” Bridget suddenly ask breaking the silence of the room.
Your eyes widen at what she said. You look back up to her eyes, wanting to make sure you heard it right. “May I?”
Bridget smile as she leans in, closing the gap between your lips. Soft. Her lips were soft. Sweet, like the strawberry short cake she baked the other day for you. And slow. She wasn’t in a hurry, and neither were you. You were both savoring the kiss.
Your stomach flutter as the warm feeling flooded you. Her scent invaded your senses and all your focus were on her lips and the warm feeling it comes with it.
You pulled away for air, already missing them but Bridget lean her forehead on yours with a smile still on her lips. “Took you long enough” she said giggling as buries her face on your neck.
You may be the princess of your kingdom but your duty is always to her, to your princess.

sweet like you
pairing: bridget x fem!reader (requested) (note: reader is charming's sister) SUMMARY: you and your pink-haired best friend have your own ways of showing affection. but what will happen if you take things to the next level? GENRE: tooth-rotting fluff, friends to lovers, mutual pining CW: nothing really, reader is down bad, thoughts of loneliness and worries she's not good enough, mouth-watering descriptions of food WC: 7k
A/N: this one was heavily based off of the five love languages! I personally think that bridget shows love by gift giving and quality time (although I am willing to hear people out on this), and reader is words of affirmation and physical touch, with maybe a dash of acts of service. hope you guys enjoy, and thank you to the anon who requested this! please give me feedback and suggestions, I’d love to know your thoughts!
You fidget nervously, skittishly glancing up at the girl in front of you.
You were so afraid to do it, to maybe ruin what you two already have.
But if you don’t, you’ll be trapped in a life overshadowed by regret, yearning for a love that will forever linger in your heart like a forgotten memory just out of reach, a devotion that has taken root in you so deep you know it is impossible to abandon or ignore.
And with that thought, you gently lean in towards her soft, pink lips.
“So? How is it?”
The pink-haired girl in front of you stands with her arms hugged to her chest, hands curled in fists that sit right below her chin. She looks at you with an anticipation so potent it's practically overflowing, rocking back and forth in a way that makes you think she’ll combust at any second. Her kind eyes are stretched wide open, staring down your every move as she eagerly awaits your answer.
You take a bite into the freshly baked fruit tart in your hand, the perfectly golden crust and masterful arrangement of strawberries, blueberries, and kiwi slices on top making it look almost too good to eat.
As soon as the flavors make contact with your tongue, you practically melt away at the sweet, delicious taste that graces your tastebuds. The pastry base is like a crisp and delightfully buttery embrace that unifies all the elements, a shell that cradles the flavors with care. The fruits on top are delectable and juicy, the natural sweetness and burst of tang adding a refreshing balance to the sugary taste of the pastry, like little fireworks on your tongue.
Your favorite part, however, is the heavenly vanilla custard filling. It’s smooth and decadent, like diving into a saccharine river of vanilla that glides across your tongue. It’s as if the very essence of pure bliss itself was captured and transformed into a rich, sweet nectar. The cool, silky filling and fresh fruits are delightful in how they contrast the warm, flaky crust, all the ingredients coming together in a harmonious composition of textures and flavors.
Your eyes, which had fluttered closed in sheer ecstasy, open again to see a Bridget that is buzzing with excitement.
Your mouth, still stuffed and chewing, manages to mumble out, “It-it’s incredible," as you cover it with your spare hand—proper etiquette being second nature to you by now—trying to get out the partially coherent words.
Bridget still looks at you with a zealous sparkle in her eyes, expression unchanged and expectant, relentlessly teetering on the balls of her feet like a hummingbird rapidly flapping its wings as it hovers by a flower. Most people would have stopped at the compliment, but you, being a near-professional taste tester from the number of Bridget’s creations that you’ve tried since you met her, have a full evaluation prepared as you swallow.
“The crust is very buttery and just the right amount of crispiness, perfectly balancing out the smooth creaminess of the custard. The fruits add a bit of tartness and a fresh, juicy taste that evens out the sweetness of the rest of the pastry, that could be a bit overwhelming otherwise. As for aesthetics”—you shift around slightly from your position on the edge of her bed, the fluffy pink comforter beneath you practically swallowing you whole—“your placement is very well-done. I would recommend adding a glaze to the fruits, both to make them glossy and to enrich the taste.”
Bridget nods her head fervently, absorbing your every word like your suggestions are an indisputable truth. “I feel like the crust is a bit soggy, too,” she adds, face wrinkled in a frown as she stares at the dessert in your hand.
You look down at your half-bitten treat—its original, untouched beauty now destroyed—in a scrutinizing consideration. “Did you wait for the crust to cool down before adding the filling?” Bridget tilts her head upwards, eyes deep in thought as she looks to the ceiling. “Hmm, now that you mention it, I don’t think I did.”
"That must be the cause." You are certainly no baker yourself, but you’ve had lots of practice critiquing Bridget’s creations to the point where you are highly knowledgeable in the theory of baking. “Still, it is unbelievably delicious.” As if hearing those words for the first time, Bridget’s face lights up, her features all but radiating a brilliant glow as she beams. She clasps her hands together, crying, “Aww, thanks!”
You can’t help but laugh a little—Bridget’s limitless joy is truly contagious. At times like this, when you're staring up at her, gaze swirled with pure adoration and awe as if she's an angel that descended from the heavens in front of your eyes, you start to think just how lucky you are. For once in your life, the strings of fate finally pulled in your favor, crossing your paths with the girl clad in a bright pink dress facing you.
Fate is often cruel to you, like an unrelenting winter wind blowing in your face and biting at your skin, like nature laughing at you as you shiver in raw misery, coldness seeping deep into your bones. A cruel trickster that seems to follow you with malevolent intentions, a vicious smirk painted on its face as it sends every misfortune barreling your way.
You might have been born a royal, a princess that has an unfathomable number of gowns stacked in her closet and an equal number of suitors lined up for her hand. But you aren’t like your brother; you don’t approach groups of strangers and introduce yourself with a wink and an alluring demeanor. He is Prince Charming, after all, which causes you to often ruminate over how accurately your parents named him.
Instead of flashing a winsome smile to every guest at a ball, or every visitor invited to your house, and strike up a conversation with them, you often seek refuge in the quiet expanse of your own room. When required to make an appearance, you prefer to loiter around in the shadows or pass by unseen, like a ghost. This has made you quite the anomaly in the royal world; everyone always whispers behind covered hands and in hushed voices, spreading rumors and wildly speculating about why the princess of such a gregarious family never makes a presence of herself publicly.
And it’s the same at school. Bridget, like your brother, will approach absolutely anyone with a smile gracing her features and kind eyes crinkled in the corners, oftentimes with a home-baked treat in hand. She has countless friends, many random people she mentions or smiles at in the hallways that you’ve never even seen before. She’s never had to worry about finding a partner in class, never avoided eye contact in a crowd of people she didn’t know, never sat watching other people’s carefree conversations with the weight of being an outsider, always looking in through the glass of isolation keeping you from them.
Which is why, to this day, in moments like these, you question whether fate has made a mistake of some sort—maybe jumbled up different karmic ties or gotten confused with names when it came time to draw people’s futures. Or, your biggest fear, is that this is all some elaborate plan, a puzzle piece in destiny’s plan to make your life as ill-fortuned as possible.
In times like this one, you peer up at Bridget and wonder, why in the world, out of her multitude of friends, did she decide to spend the most time with you? To dub you her “best friend”, if you will.
Bridget had noticed your solitary manners a long time ago—like a magnet, she’s drawn to the people who are most in need of a friend, the most ostracized of the outcasts. And so, she had patiently sat with you every day, struck up a conversation even when you gave her the shortest answers possible that were still deemed polite, and attempted to make plans with you, although you always tried to cover up your outlandish excuses with gracious thank-yous.
Over time, the girl with the bright eyes and unfaltering smile finally wore you down, until you began sitting next to her yourself, began looking forward to your idle conversations, and even sought to spend as much time with her as possible. In fact, you spend more time at her dorm than you do yours; neither of you have roommates, so the only time you go back to your room is to get into bed. Besides that, you spend every waking moment basking in Bridget’s cheery presence, so much so that half your belongings are scattered on her floor (your doing), or neatly tucked away in a drawer (her tidying up after you leave).
Your relationship grew to a point where you began to know Bridget well enough that you couldn't keep denying the way she seemed to know everyone, and on a rather personal basis as well. How she had a party or event she was invited to every weekend, or how she had an entire roster of people willing to help her at the smallest of notices anytime she needed a favor. Sure, she may not seem like the “popular” sort, which had definitely deceived you as well when you first met her, but she was definitely well-known and especially well-liked.
So you found yourself many a night sitting on her bed—as you are now—looking at the stack of pretentious letters and notes, carefully placed in ostentatious envelopes with cloyingly ornate lettering, wondering what about you made Bridget seek you out. And that’s when you first thought of it. Maybe, just maybe, she didn’t actually like you.
And once that thought popped in your mind, once it was planted and dug its roots in your brain, it grew rapidly, spreading uncontrollably like a weed that was left unchecked for a bit too long. Bridget probably only talked to you in the beginning just to be nice, the intrusive, unwanted voice hissed in your mind. She didn’t really like you. And now you keep on leeching onto her, and she’s way too nice to say she finds you annoying.
Fueled by your disbelief that anyone, especially someone with as many options as Bridget, would actively want to spend their time with you, you started to believe that Bridget was only entertaining you out of required courtesy. And so, you tried spending less time with her after that, building up your walls again and shutting her out; suddenly, you didn’t approach her in the hallways anymore, were always too busy “studying” to hang out in her room, and your long rants about various, trivial topics were reduced to simple, curt responses.
But Bridget persisted, always choosing you amidst a myriad of familiar faces beckoning her over. She still wanted to make plans with you, still left you treats outside your door to taste test. And so, with a hesitant uncertainty, only brought out by your crippling fear and burning shame at the possibility of even coming close to hurting Bridget’s feelings from your cold actions, you decided that she might actually want to be with you, of her own free will.
That night, you had thanked her for being such a good friend to you. She replied as sweetly and modestly as ever (“Oh, it’s nothing! Don’t even mention it.”). When you brought up how you wouldn’t have any friends if not for her choosing to persistently break down your walls, as you are undeniably terrible at making friends, she had simply told you that your style of befriending people was to wait for them to approach you first, whilst her style was to approach them first.
She had pointed out, with a compassionate wrinkle in her brow, that with your way, at least you could be certain that whoever cared enough about you to initiate something and work towards befriending you probably had genuine intentions, which was a drawback of becoming friends with just anyone, like she did—you never who truly likes you, and who’s plotting to stab you in the back. You kept your mouth shut that night, but you really couldn’t help but think if that were true, then did that mean that the only person with genuine intentions towards you in the entire school was Bridget herself?
Fate, you decided, is certainly an interesting character.
“Maybe I should make another batch.” Bridget’s musings draw you back to the present, where she now stands with a bitten fruit tart in her hand and two unoccupied cavities in the tray she had baked them in. “I was thinking of handing these out to my History of World Magic class tomorrow, but they aren’t very good…” She frowns again as she looks down at her pastry, as if furrowing her brow and staring intensely at it can miraculously fix it, or at least give her some insight into discerning what to improve.
“Bridget.” You push up off the bed, taking a step towards her and placing a firm hand on her shoulder. “You don’t have to make another batch. These ones are already great.”
Abruptly, you swoop in towards her opposite hand, stealing a bite from her already partially eaten dessert. You chew with a smile on your face as you look at Bridget’s slightly startled expression, commenting, “See? This one is just as good as the other one.”
Bridget remains frozen for a moment, her forehead still puckered, before she relents into a soft grin. “Alright, then. If you say so. I guess they are alright.”
“That’s the spirit.” You let go of her shoulder, now leisurely strolling around the room, eyeing the various objects neatly placed on her furniture. Eyes scanning over each item, your hand subconsciously reaches out, fingertips languidly brushing along her possessions as if soaking up her essence. “About History, I’m so unprepared for that test we have coming up. Ugh, who even assigns that much work? Especially since Mr. Poirier already grades so harshly. Like, last test, he marked me down because I only gave three examples of goblin strikes in the past century out of the five he taught. I mean, you can’t mark someone down if you never said how many examples to give! He’s so unfai—”
Your voice cuts off as your eyes snag on a collection of objects on Bridget's desk that weren’t there before, an assortment of various tools and materials that when combined appear to belong to a crafting set: multicolored beads, tubes of sparkly glitter, delicate metal chains, a set of pliers, and a bright pink vial of glue.
“What are these?” you ask curiously, leaning in closer with a furrowed brow as you inspect the items on the desk, trying to make out what they are, or rather, what they are going to be made into.
“Ah! It’s nothing!” Bridget squeals, rushing over and throwing a spare blanket over the desk before you can take a closer look.
You spin around to face her, a frown etched into your features. “If it’s nothing, then why are you hiding it?”
“It’s not important!”
“You know you’re only making me want to know even more.”
“It’s really nothing! Just don’t think about it.”
You lift your hand, inching it closer to the draped cloth. “I’m thinking about it,” you tease, playfully moving your arm at a gradual, yet deliberate, pace towards the desk. “Still thinking about it. I’m getting closer, closer, closer…”
Just as your fingers are about to make contact with the blanket to pull it off, Bridget lurches forward, taking your troublesome hand in hers as she leads you away, towards the other side of the room with a nervous giggle.
“Come on!” you exclaim with a huff. “What’s so bad about what you’re doing that you don’t want to show me?”
“It’s not bad!” Bridget counters. “It’s just…look, you’ll find out what it is soon. Just give me some time, okay?”
“Hmm…” you hum, glancing upwards with faux consideration. “I don’t know if I’ll be able to wait that long.” A small, cheeky grin dances on your face as you try to conceal it with a feigned pout.
Bridget shoots you a look, a small smile finally spreading across her lips. “What were we talking about again? That’s right, History of World Magic. So, what were you saying?”
You notice the sudden—and rather forced—attempt to change the subject, but ultimately decide to brush it off. “Yeah, I was saying how Mr. Poirier is so unfair when it comes to grading! And his tests are always so hard. Like, seriously, he makes up test questions that he never even talked about during class. He just expects us to memorize the whole textbook or something.”
Bridget gives a small, rueful shrug. “Well, I guess he just wants us to learn the information well.” You shoot her a sharp look, one that screams "Seriously? You’re defending him?"
“Hey, I have an idea!" Bridget exclaims, eyes lighting up again. "How about tomorrow, after school, we go to the library and study for the test? With both our minds put together, we’re a lot less likely to miss something. After all, two heads are better than one. You aren’t busy or anything, right?”
You shake your head no, although it does pass your mind how Bridget must already know that you never have any plans besides the ones she makes with you. “‘Kay, study session tomorrow sounds good. Although we’re probably going to be there till midnight. I mean, seriously, who assigns one test on four different chapters?”
Just as you launch into yet another rant about your insensitive teacher whom you practically despise at this point, a deep, low horn sounds from somewhere out in the hallway, reverberating against the walls.
Both you and Bridget glance up at the clock on her wall, which is custom-made in the shape of a pink heart surrounded by a white rim, now with its glittery hands pointing at ten and twelve.
“How is it curfew already?” you groan, rolling your eyes. “Guess I have to head back to my room.” Many times, you’ve contemplated requesting to move in with Bridget, so you two can officially be roommates. After all, you practically are, with the way that people always knock on Bridget’s door first when asking for you (although that seldom happens, and the few rare times it has, it’s always been on a teacher’s behest). But every time you start to consider it, your mind plummets back into that dark place, the belief rooted deep into your consciousness whispering that you’d just burden Bridget with your inescapable presence and occupied space.
“Aw, well, I’ll see you tomorrow in class! And at the library!” Bridget says as she walks you to the door, her constant smiling shining through once again.
You both bid each other goodnight, and as you walk the familiar solitary path back to your room, the absence of Bridget’s cheerful and bright energy is achingly present. It’s as if a piece of you was stripped away, torn from your very being and leaving you numb and hollow, merely a void of fleeting emotions just out of your grasp. Like the sun disappearing during an eclipse, leaving everyone shrouded in darkness as they await its return, you feel as though your very liveliness is missing from you. You glide down the hallways soundlessly like a ghost, your body nothing more than a shell of the exuberance brought out by the girl who’s constantly emanating pure, unbridled positivity.
Despite your feelings of emptiness, a soft ray of warmth settles onto your soul as memories of the evening, and every other moment you spent in Bridget’s company, replay in your mind. You still hear her melodious laugh, still see the bright sparkle in her eyes only displayed in someone who has not yet been dulled by the merciless, unsparing nature of the world.
Even though she’s not there, you still feel as though she is, carrying a piece of her deep in your heart while you reminisce over your memories, as you always do when you’re in the quiet loneliness of your own company. Even though she’s not there, your heart races at the mere thought of her: her gaze as she listens intently to what you have to say, the way her arms wrap around your torso and how her hair tickles your neck as she gives you a tight, enthusiastic hug.
Even though she’s not there, a shadow of her presence forever lingers in your heart and mind, leaving you yearning to bask in her warm glow again.
You step into the library the next day, after the final bell dismisses you from your last lesson. The library is one of your favorite places in the entire school—aside from Bridget’s room, of course. The peaceful retreat of the rows of dusty shelves and worn, rickety tables is unmatched. The tranquility of the gentle silence that always covers the area like a blanket, the smell of weathered books holding untold quantities of knowledge soothing you with the smallest whiff. Whenever you step across that threshold, it’s like being taken into a different dimension, one with fewer heavy burdens weighing down your shoulders and more blissful ease, a feeling one only reaches when in an untroubled state of mind.
No one looks at you as you walk in, not even sparing a single glance or the slightest movement that acknowledges your arrival. Not that that’s an unusual feeling for you.
You make your way down the aisles of books to your usual table, where you and Bridget always sit, standing in a secluded corner. The book bag slung over your shoulder is weighed down with all the books and notes stuffed into it, causing your arm to ache with strain. Grimacing as the hemp strap painfully digs into your shoulder, certainly leaving a mark that you’ll discover later, you mentally hurl a few obscenities at your teacher for his absurd teaching methods that make your bag so heavy.
However, as you move towards the table, you can see that there’s already some foreign object placed on top of it. A shocked, annoyed anger sizzles inside of you, vexation pumping through your veins at the thought of someone stealing your table. Sure, it doesn’t actually belong to you, and everyone has an equal right to choose any seat they desire, but it’s still your preferred spot and any other one would feel disconcerting and out of place.
As you near, now silently directing your colorful words towards the table thief, you begin to notice that no one else is around; nor do you see any materials on the table besides the peculiar item, which appears to be a small plastic container.
You approach the box, noticing that there’s a small, fuchsia-colored note stuck to the top as you get closer. Instantly, you recognize the handwriting, the half-cursive swirls and loops paired with the little hearts topping all the i’s instead of dots engraved into your brain.
“Dear Y/N,
I’m so so sooo sorry, but someone had an emergency and I had to go help them! I feel really bad for leaving you, and I promise I’ll make it up to you!
For now, I made you some treats as an apology (and to help make studying a little more bearable). Sorry again! I hope you enjoy them!
Love always,
Bridget
You smile at the little heart drawn next to her name, a staple of her signature. Opening the lid of the container, you see that sure enough, it’s stocked with plenty of macarons, a multitude of colors and flavors beckoning at you to try them.
You sigh as you grab a chair to sit in, the small wave of relief that washes over you soon overshadowed by the returning feeling of loneliness, rekindling inside of you like a greeting from an old friend you haven’t seen in a while. You reside in its arms with a comfort brought not by the warmth of a tender hug that soothes your pain and fills the hollow void residing in you, but instead by the ease of familiarity, the peace obtained when the outcome is a cruel one, yet one you foresaw. The security granted by basking in the solace of numbing arms wrapped around you, the feeling of being all alone and undesired, unwanted, something you’ve grown all too accustomed to.
Once again, you’re given a painful reminder of how popular Bridget is, how many other friends she has. How at the end of the day, you're simply an option, a choice she chooses to make. One that she can always change in the blink of an eye.
But you know that you can’t really be disappointed or feel so rejected because of this. After all, it's not like you can expect her to not have a life outside of you—ignoring the fact that you don’t really have a life outside of her. It would be selfish of you to want her to yourself all the time, right?
Readjusting your chair closer to the table, you remind yourself that it’s nice enough of her to even remember your plans, much less take the time to stop by here and leave you a note explaining her absence, in addition to a sweet—both figuratively and literally—gift. She could have just forsaken you with no note, no warning. But then again, that’s simply not the type of person Bridget is. If she knew just how much her presence affects you, how she fills your days with a joy, a happiness so pure and unparalleled by everything and everyone else, you’re almost certain she’d never leave your side again.
To her, you’re just another friend, someone she enjoys seeing. To you, she’s your sun, the very being you revolve around and depend on to survive.
She truly is your everything.
The mouthwatering macarons eyeing you through the clear plastic invite you to take a bite, and you indulge yourself as you rip off the lid and relish in the soft crunch of the outer layers and the smooth flavors bursting within, reminding you of something akin to a dessert sandwich.
After munching on quite a few of them—you simply couldn’t help yourself, they were absolutely delicious—you begrudgingly heave your bag onto the table, pulling out the materials you so diligently packed.
You crack open your textbook to the first chapter, then your notebook to the first blank page. Ripping a sheet out from the spine, you place it down next to your notes. Every time you write something in your notebook, you copy it down on the empty page.
After all, you couldn’t let Bridget’s kindhearted nature get in the way of her good grades. Even if it did mean more grueling work on your part.
For her, you are willing to do anything. Just to see her beam at you again with those rosy lips, the sparkle in her eyes twinkling brightly at you. Reminding you that you’re the cause behind her happiness.
No matter the cost for you.
The sea of faces and bodies in front of you is slightly overwhelming, blurred flashes passing you as you struggle to find your way through the crowd. But then, your eyes snatch on a head of pink curls bouncing up and down animatedly, and instantly, you’re washed over with a wave of relief. Slipping through the cracks between the meandering crowd, you make your way over to the table Bridget is sitting at today in the Dining Hall.
“Hey,” you say gingerly, placing a hand on her shoulder to get her attention as you approach her from behind.
Bridget twists her head back, face visibly lighting up at the sight of you. “Y/N!” she exclaims, scooting over and excitedly patting the space next to her.
You take your seat, turning to face her. “Uh, so, about yesterday…”
Your plan was to thank her for the macarons and the thoughtful note, but before you get the chance, her eyes widen at your words as her face erupts in a look of deep penitence. “Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry! Fay was trying a new spell and accidentally burned half her hair off…” Her face contorts to a look of serious shock and concern, probably reimagining the scene.
“I know that’s no excuse though! I felt so bad for bailing on you, that I stayed up all last night just to finish this…”
She turns around and bends over her seat, reaching into her bag on the floor. She grabs something, then twists back around to you, clutching the mysterious object tightly in her hand.
“Close your eyes and hold out your hands!” she instructs, vibrant with pulsating enthusiasm. A bit tentatively, you do as she says, putting your cupped palm out in front of you as you shut your eyes.
You feel a small, very solid object get placed in your hands (So not a new dessert to try, you think with only the slightest tinge of disappointment). But that all dissipates as soon as Bridget exclaims, “You can open them now!”
Your eyes flutter open, gaze pointed downwards towards your palms. Immediately, a tender surge of awe floods your heart, making its pace quicken as it beats rapidly. Your heart throbs with such a profound gratitude you worry it’s going to burst any second from how touched you feel.
You pick up the chain placed in your cupped hands, an elated smile breaking through as you take in the bracelet Bridget gave you. Decorated with numerous charms, you take the time to study all of them carefully, running your fingers over the meticulous hand-crafted details as you realize the significance of each one.
They’re not random designs chosen simply for aesthetic purposes; no, each one resembles something, either about you or your relationship with Bridget. A clear-cut gemstone of your favorite color placed next to a small depiction of your favorite animal both hang off the chain. Then there’s a metallic red apple symbolizing the one time you two went apple picking at an orchard; a little set of playing cards with the same design at the deck she used when she first taught you how to play; a small face of a gray kitten with white whiskers, resembling the one you two saved from an incredibly high and strangely twisted tree the first time you visited Wonderland.
Nevertheless, the finest of them all is the pink, glittery heart that sits right in the middle. Embellished on its surface is a fancy cursive B next to your first initial, conjoined with a small plus sign.
An everlasting symbol of your intimate bond.
Your mouth is fully agape, eyes round as saucers and eyebrows arched in a mix of nearly tangible astonishment and disbelief as you turn the bracelet around in your hands over and over, examining each charm with a sharp, precise eye. Bridget sits in quiet anticipation, holding her breath as she awaits any kind of reaction that can give her even a glimmer of an idea as to how you feel.
“Remember when you were asking me about the stuff on my desk the other day and I said I'd show you soon?” she asks, breaking the thick silence that has grown to be unbearable for her. “Well, I was working on this as a surprise for you. And, I mean, I felt so bad for leaving you yesterday that I wanted to give it to you today as a little apology.”
Your gaze finally breaks away from the bracelet, meeting Bridget’s jittery eyes. Before she can even process what’s happening, the next thing she knows you’ve lurched forward, arms wrapping so tightly around her body that she struggles to even breathe.
After she gets over the initial wave of shock, Bridget’s wide eyes melt into a compassionate smile, returning the embrace. You hug her firmly, getting lost in the moment and not letting go until you hear a little, “I can’t breathe,” paired with a soft tap on your back, drawing you out of your daze as you realize you’re practically smothering her.
“Oh! I-I’m sorry!” you exclaim, drawing back quickly and examining her figure with knitted brows, making sure she’s alright. “I just…I love it so much! It’s the nicest thing anyone’s ever given me!”
Bridget gives a bubbly laugh, eyes matching her grin as she says, “Oh, it really was nothing. I mean, you’re a princess. I’m sure you’ve gotten much nicer things.”
Smiling, you don’t mention how even the most lavish of luxuries, the most exorbitant of material goods only the finest money can buy, all pale into nonexistence when compared to her gift. The thought, the care, the hours of painstaking work and dedicated moments spent carefully crafting, all for you, is simply unfathomable and impossible to match. You may be holding a small bracelet worth not even a tenth of the simplest of rings you normally get gifted by your family, but to you, it’s worth more than every mansion and diamond in the whole world.
You shake your head left and right, tears of joy brimming and threatening to spill as you lean into Bridget for yet another hug (this time making sure not to squeeze her quite so hard). You know that later, you’ll probably lie in bed and wince at your brashness in this moment, hands covering your flustered face as you toss and turn in embarrassment—but for right now, you’re too swept up in your emotions to care.
“Oh! I almost forgot,” you exclaim, pulling away once again to reach into your bag this time. Retrieving a stack of papers neatly stapled, with lines and lines of orderly notes written in meticulous handwriting, you hand them to Bridget. “I figured since you probably wouldn’t have the time to take notes for the test, I took them for you.”
This time, it’s Bridget’s turn to be flustered from your benevolent gesture. “You really didn’t have to!” she cries, a stunned expression painted on her face as she flips through the numerous pages of detailed notes. She peers back up to meet your gaze with a swirl of shock and delight, her gently creased eyes and the lines on her forehead displaying her inner thoughts. Bridget often wears her emotions on her sleeve, and from sharing countless hours with her, you’ve learned to interpret her facial expressions so well you can practically read her mind. And through her gaze, you can see how she’s in disbelief at the thought that, despite your hatred for the subject and assignment—which you made very well-known—you still spent twice the time you had to on it, just for her.
“Well, I guess we’re even now,” you casually add, saving Bridget from having to formulate a response—you can clearly tell she’s having difficulty putting her emotions into words.
She shakes her head ardently from side to side, her springy curls bouncing vibrantly. “No, we still lost the time we were supposed to spend together! And I did promise I’d make it up to you.”
Before you can open your mouth to tell her that she’d made it up plenty, her head swivels to the side. You follow her gaze to a wide window a few meters away, the bright rays of sun poking out through the clouds and casting golden stripes on the table in front of you.
Her head snaps back towards you, the light in her eyes burning bright as she enthusiastically suggests, “I heard the weather is really nice this weekend! How about we go on a picnic?”
“A picnic?” you repeat inquisitively. You don’t know what you were expecting, but this certainly surprised you.
“Yeah!” Bridget’s talking quickens, the glimmer in her eyes shining brighter as she continues while the vague idea solidifies in her mind. “It’ll be a lot more fun than another study session. I can make the food and you can bring the stuff! The fields just south of here are a popular spot. It’s going to be so much fun!”
She squeals as she claps her hands together. You match her smile, her enthusiasm once again infecting you. “Picnic it is, then,” you reply, grinning as she beams at your approval.
A subtle sigh slips past your lips, unnoticed by Bridget. The same way you always wish she didn’t miss how you look at her, pure adoration and devotion mirrored in your gaze, staring at her as if she created the skies and stars with her own two hands. Which she really did—at least in your universe.
A soft breeze blows against your face, tenderly caressing your cheeks as leaves rustle overhead, whispering to the wind of secrets unheard. The sky is a clear, vibrant blue, all but a few clouds lazily drifting by. Sunshine filters through the branches, casting dappled patterns of light over the checkered blanket beneath you. Birds somewhere in the treetops chatter and sing their pleasing songs, weaving a tapestry of notes that paint the horizon with harmonious brushstrokes. The grass sways gently, mirroring the serene breathing of the landscape.
Everything is tranquil, from the fluttering of butterfly wings to the laughter that sounds from pink lips, like the most melodious of music to your ears. The conversation isn’t that important to you; trivial, inconsequential topics that you really couldn’t care less for. But what truly matters is the way her eyes fill with the purest of sparkles, the way she doubles over as she giggles, the breeze brushing her captivatingly gorgeous curls out of her face.
There’s nothing in the world you would trade for this moment, this sliver in time where you are completely at peace. Where not a single care or worry can reach you, not when the only thing on your mind is how much your heart swells with pure affection, how simply perfect the girl in front of you is.
After she manages to catch her breath from laughing, Bridget meets your gaze—one that is directed at her, but isn’t really looking at her. Your eyes are distant, the unwavering smile on your speaking volumes of emotions.
“Those sandwiches were really good, weren’t they?” she asks you, referring to the special-made lunch that you two had just finished.
You nod, still grinning at her with a persistent gaze. “They were great, Bridget. Nothing that you make could ever taste anything less than delicious.”
She blushes, swatting at your arm playfully. “Hey, that’s not true!”
You laugh, sitting up from how you were previously lying on your back. Catching Bridget’s hand in midair, you reply, “Well, it is, because I don’t lie.”
“Oh? Since when?” she asks, mirth dancing on her features.
“Since always.” You feign annoyance at her accusations, your smile still shining through.
“Ah! Speaking of food, I have something special for you.”
You hum in surprise, watching as Bridget reaches over to your woven picnic basket. She shuffles closer to you, to the point where her knees almost brush against your thigh, with how she’s sitting cross-legged and you with your legs outstretched whilst leaning on one arm.
Opening the lid, her hand disappears inside for a moment before reemerging with a singular cupcake, topped with a swirly pastel pink frosting and decorated with small sprinkles in shades of white and red.
“This is a new recipe,” she explains, holding the treat out to you. “I made it with this super rare flower essence, shipped straight from Wonderland. Let’s just say I gave the batter a lick, and I think it’s my best creation yet.”
“You haven’t tried it yet?” you ask, moving to sit in a position similar to Bridget’s as you accept the dessert.
“Nope! I wanted you to have the first bite.”
Your smile only grows wider, now stretching from ear to ear, an undeniable sense of glee emanating from you. You’d normally argue with her, telling her that she really didn’t need to do something like this. But from all those failed attempts you’ve only learned that Bridget never listens, always putting you first time and time again. So, this time, you simply take a bite, nearly melting away again as the flavors hit.
The frosting has a sugary, saccharine taste, the sprinkles adding a delightfully contrasting texture to the creamy richness of the pink swirl. The cake below it is soft and moist, as if eating a fluffy cloud. The vanilla flavor is smooth, an undercurrent that balances out the sweetness. There’s a slight twinge from a distinct flavor as well, something you’ve never tasted and can’t quite put your finger on. The same way that coffee elevates the taste of chocolate, this special ingredient brings out the sweetness of the vanilla, balancing out the sugar of the frosting. Every mouthful is incredibly light and absolutely delectable, making each moment it graces your taste buds feel like an indulgent bite of heaven.
“So? How is it?” Bridget asks as your eyes swiftly open. Her anticipation lingers in the air, along with your awaited response.
But you barely hear her words, too focused on how the color of the frosting perfectly matches her delicate, roseate lips. They’re so gentle, yet lush, almost forming the most endearing of pouts.
Eyes darting from her eyes, to her lips, back up to her wide, doe eyes again, you throw caution to the wind and spring forward. Your hands move in front of you, supporting your weight as you lean in.
Your lips make contact with her velvety ones, which are even smoother than you imagined. A stolen kiss, lasting but a moment, yet enwrapped by the tender caress of your mouth, the purest of affections seeping in as you hold her lips between yours, then draw back for the briefest pause.
Eyes locked with her wide, expressive ones as you linger a mere inch away from her face, you respond to her earlier question.
“Delicious and incredibly sweet. Just like you.”

⚔️Queen of Her Heart 🗡️
👑 Descendants Queen of Hearts ❤️ X Charming's Sister reader
-
"Bravo!" A woman clad in light and dark shades of blue walked down charmingly giving applause to her brother and niece when she watched their fun little sword-fighting
"Aunt Y/n!" Chloe Charming said enthusiastically running up to her favorite Aunt and giving her a hug
"Hello little Charming" The older princess greeted happily patting the curly girls blue hair which earned the youngest a pout
"I told you I'm not little anymore!!" She whined which earned a chuckle from her
"You still are to me! But you're right I see you almost defeated your Dad though nice going!" the older princess said casually as the once-prince smiled and looked at his sister
"I would've defeated him if he was not cheating" Chloe said as she looked directly at her father
"It was not fair Dad that was cheating" she exclaimed
"No..That was delicious!" Her Dad shrugged as he ate the last of the pretzel he used earlier to defeat Chloe
Y/n chuckles at this "Don't be so serious little one we signed you up for Swords and Shields because it was supposed to be fun!" She exclaimed at the princess
"Yeah.. but when I'm out there I'm not just another competitor,I represent Cinderellasburg" Chloe countered a little anxiously
"You sound like your mother!" The King exclaimed as he chuckled at the worried princess while the older princess and him gave her a reassuring smiles
"Don't listen to him he never cared about what other people think!". The Now Queen Ella quipped walking closer to her family
Charming chuckles at this and said "I don't have to I'm charming!" as he then looked at his Queen lovingly
"That's debatable!" Ella joked as his prince reached out to her gesturing for her hand.
"oh I know where this is going!. Y/N whispered to her niece crossing her arms with a smirk as she watched the two love birds hum to their song
"Dad" Chloe whined playfully to her parents who looked at her with smiles, happy
They both watched the two while a certain princess watched, with eyes longing they reminded her of the love of her own although she was happy for her brother being happy with his family she couldn't help but wonder where to find the missing piece in her heart, she always knew that a part of her was missing, and to wonder what it would be like to also have her own family,
-
"you sure you can't come?" Ella ask his husband
"I would love to but Chad really wants me to see him play tourney!" He responds as he gave his wife a kiss goodbye and saying I love you's
Meanwhile, his sister followed suit "I trust you take care of them?" He exclaimed to his sister "ofcourse!" She replied hugging his brother as they went inside the carriage with the King waving them goodbye
-
Y/n Charming Pov
"We have arrived your majesties," the coachman announced as we arrived at Aurodon we all got off as the guards guide us assisting with our bags
My niece then looked around impressed at the place
"Woah" she marveled walking further exploring the place I chuckled at the sight as I waited a little for the coachman to hand me my sword I then ran to catch up to them I was to focus to catch up to them i didn't notice a red haired girl I suddenly bumped into making her drop her stuff
"Oh! My Bad I'm so sorry!" I apologized as I picked up what seemed to be a pocket watch that she dropped I returned it to her as I got a clear view of her dressed up in a cool red outfit I smiled at her she looked familiar
"Have we met?" I asked which she replied with "I don't think so?" Skeptically
"Bridget!?" Our conversation was cut short as I heard Ella's voice which made my head perk up at the name I then walked up close to them
"Ella.."I heard a woman speak as I went beside my niece to look at who Ella was talking to, my heart skipped a beat when I saw her she looked so different from the last time I saw her,
Her gaze then drifted off to me "Y/n"... She exclaimed shocked but quickly kept her composure replaced with a cold demeanor
"Bridget.. I exclaimed longingly although a lot of years had passed she still looked as stunning as ever I smiled reminiscing about the old Bridget that I used to love,
"Hi I'm Chloe Charming! You must be Princess Red of Wonderland?!.. I've always wondered what it's like over there.." My thoughts were cut off as I heard what Chloe had said she had a daughter...
-
WARRR
I heard Bridget sing as she threw her deck of cards in the air morphing into soldiers the sky darkening and then turning into a shade of red. Fairy Godmother tried to calm everyone but more and more soldiers spawned and threatened the others. I unsheathed my sword, ready to fight, "Chloe, get you and your mother away from here!" I yelled as I tried to hold off the soldiers I saw people panicked they also tried to run away but the exits were quickly blocked, I heard Fairy Godmother try to stop Bridget with her wand but was cut off by her and broke her wand with her card.
"Mom! Stop what are you doing!?" I heard Red exclaimed
While I kept fighting the soldiers off and as much as I'm skilled with sword fighting they're just too many of them that made them outnumbered me which left me off guard kicking my leg and making me fall as they took away my sword and restrained me "Hey! Let go!" I yelled as I tried to break away but they're a lot of them holding me off
"Get off!" I yelled punching the guard as I tried to free myself but more soldiers just kept holding me off so I just stopped resisting and looked at Bridget who was already looking at me when she saw me look at her she quickly averted her gaze away as I saw everyone had been gathered with soldiers guarding there every move
Everything went quiet as Bridget climbed up the stairs "Calm down y'all acting like you've never seen a coup before" she exclaimed unbothered.
"Mom, this is crazy. Even for you!" Red says looking at her mother
"Crazy that it’s taken this long...
"I have been waiting years to be invited back into Auradon"
"So, thank you, Red. You finally did something useful" Her mother said
"This was never about me!" Red exclaimed feeling hurt and betrayed she thought that her mother actually cared that she was going to an official school
"Everything I do is for you!" Her mother retorted back
"That was my invitation. My school. My life." Red countered looking at her mother in disappointment at losing a chance to experience a normal life
"Someday... you'll thank me"The wonderlainian Queen uttered with a scoff facing the terrified crowd "And spoiler alert we win!" she exclaimed giddily with a chuckle
"Stop it, Bridget! You’re better than this!" Cinderella says stepping up to confront Bridget.
"Ella! No!" I uttered wanting her to stop and not approach the danger before this went out of hand I tried going to stop her but the guards held me tightly so I couldn't get away or even go to her
"Let her through!" she ushered with a wave of her hand to the soldiers that were guarding the podium
"This is too far" "I know that what happened was hard for you, but that was ages ago!" Ella continued
"Ella stop!" I exclaimed to her before she might say something that may provoke the Red Queen she just looked at me with the hope that she might still convince her former friend to stop.
"It feels like yesterday to me" the tyrant Queen uttered as she looked down at Cinderella
"It was a stupid prank!"Ella said stern
"Stupid!?, I could forgive!"
"Humiliating a girl at her first dance, turning me into a monster in front of everyone.." she responded voice laced with anger, hurt hatred, and vengefulness seeping through every word
"Now, that’s just cruel." You’re right" she muttered
"You didn’t care then. You were off with your prince."
"Ooh, but you will now!." You will all show me the respect I deserve!" she exclaimed sternly as she scanned the crowd her gaze lingering at me for a moment which didn't go unnoticed by Red before looking back down at Ella
"Now kneel," she ordered
"I will never kneel to a tyrant" Ella retorted
" She’s denied a royal order." "What do we do about that, darling?' The Red Queen asked gesturing for her daughter
"Look, all you have to do is swear allegiance. Is that so hard?" Red said with hesitance
"If it means compromising everything I stand for, yes!". Ella stands strong to her words
"Who are you loyal to, Red?
"These strangers…"
"or your mother?"
"Hmm?"
"Now make me proud, for once. The Red Queen whispered to her daughter ushering her to make the next move
"Come on, Bridget, even your daughter knows it’s wrong."
"She can’t do it.!" Ella exclaimed still trying to convince her former best friend
"Treason!" She shouted but you could clearly see the hesitancy in her tone
_
"Off with her head the tyrant Queen ordered as the guards grabbed a hold of her and began to take her away I stared in shock and disbelief
"NO!" I screamed as I managed to break free from the soldier's grasp running up to Ella and Chloe I took a soldier's sword from his holster "Get behind me! I said to the two blue girls keeping the guards to get back as I protected them keeping any soldiers from approaching
"Back off!" I yelled at the guard who was about to approach pointing the sword at him he shrugged but before I knew it I was quickly tackled from behind I grunted as my body collided with the ground
"GET OFF ME!" I pushed the guards away as I saw them taking away Ella
"Bridget please!" I approached the Queen of Hearts and begged I kneeled in front of her "Please I'm begging you!" I quavered tears welling up in my eyes but I held them back looking up at her blank eyes that used to shine like a thousand galaxies when I looked at them but now all I can see is a deep black void with no light or shine in them
-
The Fierce Red Queen's gaze almost softened as she looked at the woman kneeling in front of her she watched the whole thing unfold your determination to protect your family who clearly you hold dear she quickly changed her expression to a stern and cold demeanor
"How adorable still the brave, but naive little charming princess!" She exclaimed
"I see that you haven't changed!" she added
"And I see you clearly did!" Y/n mumbled "But please Bridget! If you do this-" she was quickly cut off by Bridget
"If I do what?" she taunted "Look at you now begging just to save the person who's important to you doing everything in order to save them!.....
"you know I always wondered where were you when it was my time to get saved!" "I needed you, I looked for you but where were you!?" she scoffed
"Nowhere to be found," She said plainly which left the Princess speechless because she knew, she was right, she was supposed to be with Bridget.
They had never spoken for years and the only conversation they had in years was this but it was not a good situation.
-SHEESH part 2? maybe?

Princess-Posals
Bridget x Cheshire Cat!Reader
Synopsis: The first dance of your second year at Merlin’s Academy is approaching. You have yet to ask Bridget to go with you as more than just friends and are losing time fast.
@ludoesartandstuff this is for all of us girlies in love with Bridget!
Warnings: not much! You are going through it but like it’s not really angst. Not proofread.
1.8k words
~~~~~
Castle coming was around the corner. Y/n Cheshire, you, were preparing your princessprosal for Bridget. She had been your longtime crush and an even longer time friend. She was everything you wished you were and more. She was the sweetest, prettiest, most fun girl in all the realms. If you had one wish it was to be hers.
You had just one problem, managing to get the courage up to doing it was harder than you originally thought.
There was that time you wanted to just ask her but bailed because it wasn’t good enough for her.
Then that time when you prepared a song you would sing to her and then got sick.
There was that time you planned to bake her favorite dessert, unbirthday cake. But you lost track of time and burnt it too a crisp.
You were running out of options and time. What was worse was Ella knew of your whole debacle and was constantly teasing you about it.
This would be it, today was the day. You had to ask her. So you met up with her after first period. You had a love letter you wanted to personally deliver.
Just then Uliana and her gang of misfits came by, watching at you awkwardly stand there. You try hard to not make eye contact. It doesn’t help you though.
“Well what do we have here? Is the little kitty cat waiting for her owner? You’re pathetic. I have have a mind to return the favor for causing me so much trouble last year.” Uliana fakes you out, making you jump a little. It does not sound good. Then you see pink coming out of the corner of your eye.
“Let’s just say this wont be the last you see of us,” Uliana threatens before ripping the letter out of your hand and stuffing it into her pocket, “bye kitty witty.” She saunters away with her crew behind her and finally Bridget stands in front of you, a little worried by the shocked look on your face. So much for today being the day.
“Are you alright? I saw you talking to Uliana. You snap out of it with a forced smile.
“Oh, it’s nothing too bad, she just,” you fiddle with the hem of your top, “stole my homework. But it’s okay, I already had that class today so it’s been graded. 100!” You cheer while holding up jazz hands.
Bridget smiles softly, “Well yay! You’re lying though… why?” She squints her eyes.
“Okay, you got me! The homework was for next class and I now will most definitely am not getting a one hundred.” You cease the fidgeting, she’s always to good at noticing things, better to cut the self-sabotaging now.
She rubs your shoulders, “I’m sorry about that. Maybe we can bake something together later to make you feel better? Chuckle chocolate chipper chip cookies perhaps?” She wiggles her eyebrows making you giggle.
“I think I would like that,” you sigh in relief now you have an excuse to see her again. This time your plans will not be thwarted. But how? You’ve gone the poetic, musical, and tasty route, what else would be good enough for Bridget? You stand there staring at her again, getting lost in how beautiful her pink hair is, how white her teeth are despite the copious amounts of sweets she consumes and how perfect she smiles.
“Are you sure you’re okay Y/n?” She asks again. You nod. “I’m getting a little worried for you; you’ve been getting distracted more easily, letting Uliana pick on you when you usually would just turn invisible and run away, and you look a little tired every time we hang out. Which is a lot.”
You sigh, “It’s just… its- I… the dance is soon.” You end with really not wanting to elaborate. You really don’t want to let out anything else so you make the hard decision to skedaddle and turn invisible.
“Y/n Cheshire! You can’t runaway like that! I better see you after school!” She calls out, chuckling to herself despite the worry. She think she knows what’s going on now and she intends to help out.
You spent the rest of the school day tryna think of good ways to ask Bridget to go with you. You think you have it though.
Bridget had missed her home dearly, as did you. She had a passion for exotic tastes, her favorite being a rare wonderlandian truffle she left behind at her castle. She told you the day school started up again how devastated she was she forgot it. All you had to do was take an unauthorized trip to wonderland. Which would be laughably easy for you.
So you decided to slip out during your fourth period and left.
The woods were thick but you didn’t mind. You liked the outdoors. Before Bridget, trees were your best friends. You got close enough to the guards that you could see the sides of them from pretty far. You turn yourself invisible and slowly walk towards it.
Once close enough to them you pick up a rock and throw it the other direction. They whip around and start walking towards the sound it made. You start booking it towards the portal and make it, falling hard on the wonderland ground.
“Ouch” you mutter, turning visible. Thankfully wonderland doesn’t guard the portal. You get up, dusting yourself off. Then you head towards her castle which isn’t too far but you need to hurry if you want to make it to Bridget’s dorm in time.
You get into the castle by turning invisible once more and quickly find her room, thankfully easily. Her room is adorable with baby pinks everywhere and cookbooks galore. It’s like her dorm but even more her somehow. She has a recordplayer too. You remember listening to fun pop ballads with her.
You quickly find it in a box on her nightstand and put it in your pocket. You, still while invisible, leave and run back to the portal.
When you get back you realize you don’t know if you can stay invisible when you go through it. You take a deep breath and go in, feeling lightheaded but still managing to land on your feet.
“Hey!” A guard yells right next to you. Apperently the answer was no still.
You turn invisible and run even faster than when you ran to the portal. You manage to only trip once but lose them.
You are terribly out of breath because of the running but check the time and it reads that you are five minutes late! You gasp for air and again sprint to the school, managing to get there in an impressive 2 minutes from the edge of the woods. You knock on the door.
“Oh there you- are you okay? You don’t look very, um, good,” she awkwardly says, standing there with a cookbook in hand.
“Yeah I,” you inhale, “good. Just, can we maybe sit down for a second?” Your palms are a little sweaty and it’s not just cause of the running.
She grabs your hand and leads you to her bed. “Of course!” You sit next to one another.
“Thanks, sorry I’m late I had to… grab something.” You decide to go with that for now.
“It’s no problem, just maybe next time shoot me a text and not run a marathon.” She giggles. You smile. You nod and sit there in an admittedly awkward silence for a bit.
“Can I ask you something?” “Can I ask you something?” The both of you say at the same time. You both break down in giggles.
“Yeah, you go first,” you say, maybe you were stalling still.
“Uh, sure!” She surely looks insanely nervous which is kinda making you more nervous. “Well, even though last year was a little weird I loved castlecoming so much. Last year I wanted to do something but was too chicken and I’m gonna do it this year.” She pauses and you nod, rubbing her hands for support. She inhales, “Y/n Cheshire, would you be my date to castlecoming? Like not just as friends?” The wind is most certainly knocked out of you again and you kind of malfunction a bit.
“Y/n are you alright? If it’s a no that’s perfectly okay, you don’t have to feel like you have-“
“Yes! Oh my, Bridget that would make me the happiest in all of the realms! Can I- can I kiss you?” You ask, you feel your face warm. She doesn’t answer. But before you know it you feel your stomach explode with pixies and your heart leap out of your chest. Bridget’s soft pink lips touch yours and it has to be the best feeling in the world. You don’t mean to break the kiss but after a couple seconds you gasp.
“What what’s wrong?” Bridget says.
“No no no nothings wrong it’s just, I was planning to ask you too. I was gonna ask you like about two weeks ago but I chickened, and then that time I got sick I had planned a whole cheesy song out, I baked something for you and it got burnt another time, then I had written a poem for you but… but… that’s what Uliana stole today.” You chuckle awkwardly. You technically just admitted you lied to her.
“Wow… I I appreciate that you would do all those things but don’t worry, I don’t need anything big, just you. It is funny you were gonna ask though! I too was a little chicken recently. You are so sweet.” She says lovingly, her smile brighter than a thousand suns.
Then you dig in your pocket for the truffle and pull it out.
“I still managed to work something out. I went to wonderland to get that truffle so you could use it before it goes bad.” She grasps it out of your hand and looks at it in awe.
“So that’s why you were so out of breath! You seriously got this for me? You are- you’re just so amazing.” She pauses. “I know it’s soon but I feel in my heart that I love you, and I have loved you. I don’t know if it’s weird or not but I’ve loved you as a friend and it’s already become so much more. Thank you truly.“
“I love you too Bridget, have for a long time.” You answer. She grasps your collar and pulls you in for a deep kiss once more. This one lasts a lot longer. You both only break it for a second, where you two say I love you once more. The two of you laugh at the fact you said it at the same time. Bridget is truly the queen of your heart.
She Wears Short Skirts, I Wear T-Shirts: Chapter 1
Pairing: Bridget (Cheerleader AU) x (Fem!)Reader
Chapter Summary: Being in band wasn't the most popular among the student body... Being in a band was: everyone in that school fawns over students who are in a band. You and your friends are the only band in the entire s. But, none of them know... You live two different lives: Drum Captain by day, Drummer by night. The school's Cheer Captain happened to attend one of your shows...
Chapter Warnings: Anxiety, Swearing
Chapter Key: Italics = Thoughts, +*+ = Time Skip, F/n = Friend's name, B/n = Band Name, Bold/Italic = Flashback
Chapter Theme: Honest - The Home Team
A/n: I read somewhere that someone (I forgot who, so idea credit goes to them) wanted a Bridget Cheerleader AU, so here it is :)
------------------------------------------------------------------------
*Y/n's POV* You ruffle your hair after stepping out of the band room; about to leave the school after a successful football game, however, bump into the wall after a football player shoulders you.
"Whoops, sorry nerd!" He chuckles, walking off with his jock friends
"You alright?" F/n asks
"Yeah," You sigh, "I hate that they're so successful, yet in real life, they're jerks..."
"They're going to peak in high school when they graduate," They tell you, "Besides, we have a gig tomorrow night."
Ahh...
Your 'second life'. Your most favored part of your life over your actual one.
"We're headlining this one for once," They say, "Big achievement for a small town band."
It was...
Normally, slightly bigger bands would ask you to be an opener for the opener that was touring with them. Your band didn't have the funds to travel. Yet. That was the end goal: To tour with a headlining band. Maybe even headline a tour...
"Y/n, you there?" F/n calls you out
"Hmm?" You look at them blankly
"You were imaging us headlining... Weren't you?" They ask
"No!" You lie
"Save that for when we tour with a headlining band," They say, "Come on, I'm tired, let's get out of this shit hole already..."
You follow them out to the parking lot and see a familiar face... Bridget: the School's Cheer Captain. The both of you are in the same grade. But, you never really noticed her until she joined the Cheer Team. Your friend elbows you.
As you watch the football game: Your team leading by a whole ton of points, you eyes drift down to the track, normally where the cheerleaders were attempting to hype the student section or the families who either watch their football team offspring or the band offspring.
Your eyes drift to the only girl with bright pink hair. By coincidence, she looks up at you too. You look down at your drum head, trying to not look flustered. However, when you look back at her, she's looking away too; a deep rose color upon her cheekbones.
"Let's go Dragons!!!" She, and her cheer girls scream
"Y/n!" Bridget runs up to you
"Oh! Hey, Bridge," You smile, trying to greet her casually
"I'm heading home, I'll see you tomorrow Y/n," Your friend walks ahead
You try to protest and try to keep your friend with you, however, was too far ahead.
"You waiting for a ride?" You ask
"No, you?" She asks
"I live close enough to not need to drive," You say, "Want some company to walk you home?"
"Sure, that'd be great," She smiles
You've met her a handful of times, but never really had any chances such as this one: the both of you have a one-on-one. She was also one of the popular girls. Not the traditional mean girl.
You lead your drumline mates onto the track. As you set up your drum onto its stand, the cheerleaders run over to you guys. You look up and see Bridget smiling ear to ear right in front of you.
"Captain," You tilt your shako, smiling
She runs over to her friends and squeals as they fawn over your other upper classmen drumline mates.
As you check to make sure your drum mates had their drums securely on their stands; you drum a rhythm and the others follow along. The cheerleaders gawking.
"I'm surprised that you girls gawk over the drumline over the football players," You joke
"Please, drumline has more dignity," She rolls her eyes playfully
"Pfft, wouldn't be sure about that," You chuckle under your breath
+*+
You follow Bridget as she walks to your neighborhood; unsure how to make conversation...
"What's going on tomorrow?" She asks
"Oh... Just stuff for band," You say
"What kind of 'stuff'?" She asks
"just band stuff," You say, "No one here really enjoys the band... I can always hear them talk over our halftime shows..."
"I try to be invested," She confesses, "But all of my friends drag me into their conversations. The drum stuff you do with your drumline sounds really cool..."
"Yeah?" You ask, your eyes nearly lighting up, "Well... That drum break was arranged by yours truly."
"Really?!" She asks, her eyes lighting up, "I didn't know you arranged music too!"
"It isn't that hard when you understand the basics of music," You say
"Wish I continued with music," She says, "But, it was too difficult for me..."
"Maybe one day," You say, "I like it when you guys do some stuff with us."
"My favorite is when you bring the drumline down to us and we just hype y'all up as you play. Seeing all the cool tricks is absolutely mind-blowing!"
"Oh.. That," You chuckle, "Yeah, I enjoy those too."
You follow her up a sidewalk, leading to her front door. You remain at the bottom as she ascends the two steps.
"Thanks for walking me home," She slightly smiles
"You're welcome," You reply
"You get home safe too, alright?" She asks
"Yeah, I will," You say
You wait until she closes the door behind her. You plug music into your ears as you walk the way you came.
I didn't know she lived down the street from me....
+*+
You and your guitarist haul in your personal drum set as your friend: the bassist and lead singer set up their own thing.
"Nice of you to help me, f/n," You sigh, setting down the kick drum
"Hey, do you want to tune these babies?" They ask
"As if I'll touch a stringed instrument," You scoff
"Come on, you play basically everything!" They whine
"Drums is more my territory," You say, taking the high-hat from your guitarist
+*+
You sit at the merch table as the openers go on. Your band couldn't afford to hire someone as your merch runner, so there would be two of you working the merch booth. At the end of the gigs, two of you would run to the merch table and the remaining lot would load instruments outside.
You rotated with two of your other friends once the next band began playing. You warm up your hands with some rhythms as you listen to some songs, trying to sound out the opener's rhythms.
You only stop when you feel a tap on your shoulder.
"They're on the last song, let's get ready," F/n says
+*+
Two of you rush out to the merch table as soon as the gig ended: in case any patron would want to buy merch.
"You guys were really good!"
"You guys are underrated!"
"How are you guys not famous yet?!"
Many new fans would ask you that question. You only reply with: "Thank you!", or, "We've been working towards being a big band.". Along those lines.
Once the patrons had gone, you begin breaking down your merch table after a successful show.
"Y/n?!" A familiar voice calls your name
Your head shoots up, "Bridget?!"
"I knew you looked familiar!" She says, "I didn't know you were in a band!"
"I..." You try to find some kind of excuse
"Go on, I'll take over," F/n says
You get up and stand in front of her...
"Uhm.... You want to step outside?" You ask
She nods, she gently takes your hand and begins to lead you out of the venue.
"Where's your friends?" You ask
"They headed home right at the end of your set," She says
"And... You didn't go with them?" You ask
"I had to be sure the drummer was you," She says, "Let alone we have two of our school's band members in an actual band."
"Well, I like to keep that on the down low," You say
"What? And not be popular at school?" She asks
"Popular isn't our thing," You say, "Besides, we prefer to get famous from the outside."
"Oh..." She says
"So," you clear your throat, changing the subject, "What brought you here?"
"My friends and I were here for one of the openers," She explains, "It only took us a few
"Guess I gotta drive you home now," You joke
You weren't really joking...
"Would you have room?" She asks
"For you? Always," You half smile
She smiles as she looks down, blushing.
You help your friends load the merch into your friend's SUV and bid each other goodnight.
"I try to keep my front seat clear," You say
"In case you bring girls home?" She jokes
"No," You say, bluntly, "For my food run."
She tosses her hair ver her shoulder, huffing. You could see the joke in her gesture...
"It's my own kind of tradition that I get food after a gig," You say, "Drumming makes me hungry. You saw how I was whamming on my drums."
You pull out from the venue and make your way to the nearest late night fast food place.
"Want anything?" You ask
"Just... A water," She says
"Just a water?" You ask, "Please don't tell me you cheerleaders have a strict diet..."
She's silent...
"Come on, one junky meal won't kill you," You say, "Besides..."
You tuck hair behind her ear to look at her in the eyes...
"I don't like it when people in my car starve themselves," You say, "So, please.. Eat something... The venue only had snack items... Which is why I made this post-gig food a tradition. Never really had a passenger join me on the adventure.. So that makes you a first."
You order yourself and Bridget food. You drive to a secluded spot and begin indulging in your food.
"Don't you cheerleaders have your own tailgates at the football games?" You ask
"We do, but I barely eat," She explains, "I get really anxious and when I get anxious, food doesn't settle well."
"I understand that," You say
"You do?" She asks
"Yeah," You say, "I also get nervous before every performance I have. I try to not eat too much so that when I do feel nervous, I don't get nauseous."
"Guess we're more alike than we think," She sighs
You slowly make your way back to your neighborhood; praying the night won't end... However, her tapping your arm resting on the gear shift takes you out of your thoughts.
"Thanks for taking me home," Bridget says
"Anytime," You say
"I know this'll sound stupid but ummm... Could I get a picture with you?" She asks
"Sure," You chuckle
She squeals as she situates herself to face her phone camera properly. You lean over the center console and nearly stiffen as she puts her hand on your cheek. As soon as she snaps the photo the both of you look back at the photo: your head lingering on her shoulder.
"You want a setlist too?" You ask
"Yes!" She squeals
You reach into your pocket and hand her a folded piece of paper. She immediately unravels it and she squeals again. She Nearly leaps over the center console and wraps her arms around your neck.
"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" She smiles
"Always," You chuckle
She steps out of your car, and leans down to meet your eyes.
"See you Monday," She waves you off
Again, you wait for her to enter her house, and fully close the door before you drive down the street to your house.
Late night visit
Paring: Bridget x fem reader
Warnings: pure fluff, rules being broken, and grammar mistakes as always
A/n: A tiny drabble & readers the swan princess little sister but not very relevant to the plot, and for the sake of this story established relationship.
You were sitting on your bed silently reading a book that bridget had gifted you on your birthday for what felt like the hundredth time when loud knocking startled you out of your peaceful mood until a familiar knocking pattern came from the wood door making your head pop up and whip around towards the closed door
Three knocks, silence, and a single knock again.
Your lips turned upwards as you knew the only person or rather girl that would still knock after curfew with the risk of getting in trouble. “bridget just come in before you get caught!” You whisper shouted from your spot on your bed, hands tightening around the book you held
your girlfriend let out a neverous but tired sounding giggle out as she slipped into your dorm, closing the door behind her, slowly trying not to make any sounds
After shutting the door she quickly walked towards your bed, you put a bookmark in your book setting it down on your bedside table sitting up more as you felt the bed sink down on your left her arms wrapping around you and her head in your shoulder
“.. I missed you” bridget whispered into your shoulder, your cheeks turn a bright red at your girlfriends words raising your hand to twirl a strand of her pink hair with your finger “I miss you too bridget” you whispered back cheeks turning even more red at the feeling of her lips turning into a smile on your shoulder
You and bridget didn’t have many classes together and didn’t get to hang out after school as you had ballet practice most mornings and some at the end of school
So maybe bridget would break a rule of two just to get some time with her ballerina girlfriend, even if it was just laying in her bed silently soaking in anytime with you that she could get.
This is horrid, but wtv!
🌹Queen of Hearts x Reader🌹
Reader Pronouns: She/her
Pairing: The Queen of Hearts x Fem!Guard!Reader
Plot: Someone tried breaking into the castle. Reader takes them down but is injured in the process, the Queen insisting she take on the responsibility of tending her wound. What the Queen wasn't prepared for was a bit of a lesbian panic.
Word count: 1.7k
Extra: Sorry this took forever and it ain't even good !! Very messy. But I love her. I listened to Chappel Roan while writing this.
Being a guard for royalty was no walk in the park. Especially if that park was The Queen of Hearts. She was a very interesting character, and by interesting, she was a tyrant.
She had full control over Wonderland, basically banning anything remotely joyous from it. She had strict rules and high expectations.
But, you've been doing this for awhile. You were very experienced when it came to being a guard. It was your dream since you were little.
Of course, when you were little, things were much different. Wonderland wasn't nearly as hostile, the Queen at the time wasn't so controlling, but none of that mattered anymore.
Your only job was protecting the current queen.
You didn’t fear many people. You were almost considering fearless. But the one person you did fear was your own Queen. The person that ruled over you. The woman who gave you ever command.
You always felt the need to go out of your way to go above and beyond to satisfy her, and it sort of worked. You did eventually become very high ranking and usually were her personal guard during special events.
You were never able to speak to her, why would you? It's not your job to speak to her unless she comands it. But that never stopped her from speaking to you. But you kind of assumed she spoke to anyone. Usually to just complain about small insignificant things for you to fix, but occasionally you swore you heard a hint of a real person come out of her.
But now, it was late. Wonderland never slept at night even if the people did.
There were always something outside of the kingdom, always someone. Always something to protect the kingdom from.
And every once in awhile, someone would slip through the cracks and try to take the Queen down. It was very rare this happened, but happened tonight.
Someone lurked in the walls of the kingdom, slipping in and out of the shadows. While the security in the kingdom was always the best, there are always holes.
And on that night, you were walking down the halls of the castle. You never enjoyed patrols that were in the castle, you preferred being out. But as you walked down the dim hallways that were completely silent other than the clicking of your boots on the tile, you heard something from behind you.
With one swift movement, you turn and block an attack from a hooded figure with a dagger, digging a gash into your hand rather your chest. You unsheath your sword despite the injury and the rest happened quickly.
You yelled for the other guards and you all easily brought this man down and immeately brought to the dungeon for the Queen to set her scentence for him. All was quiet again, all was safe. Except for the fact you accidentally woken up the Queen from her sleep, which was never good.
The doors to her room swung open and she slowly walked out. Even after just being woken up she was perfect. Her night gown was ridiculously expensive looking and beautiful, she was naturally gorgeous with or without makeup (in this case without), and every step she took was well coordinated. She looked unreal, like the kind of woman you'd dream of.
"Your Majesty," You kneel, along with a couple other guards near by you who were trying to patch your wound you received from the encounter.
"What is the meaning of this?" She demanded, clearly not thrilled by being woken.
You bit your tongue, horrified of what she may have in store for you and the other guards once you tell her that someone managed to break into the castle, "An unidentified man broke into the castle. We have detained him and he is being sent to the dungeon." You say, still kneeling and not daring to look her in the eyes.
The Queen of Hearts gave a noise of disapproval which made your heart feel like it sank to your stomach.
"I can see he didn't go without a stumble." She scoffed, eyeing the injury on your arm.
"We have it handled, your Majesty. We apologize for awakening you." One of the other guards who was initially helping you with your wound spoke up.
The Queen narrowed her eyes, "Clearly not." She stated, taking a step closer to you, making your skin hot. "You're doing it all wrong, it's like you're totally incapable of treating her wound properly." She huffed, "You're all dismissed. Out of my sight." She demanded, before pointing a finger at you, "But you. You stay."
You wished you could get up and run. Run far away. Because you weren't so sure that she had anything pleasant planned for you. You were almost certain your head would be removed from your shoulders in the next 12 hours. But all you could do was just sit there and kneel while staring at the ground.
"Off your knees. Pick up the first aid kit and hand it to me, since that lot clearly have no clue what they're doing I suppose I'll have to handle it." She commanded, crossing her arms.
You finally look up at her, your eyes full of surprise. Did you hear that right? Are you misinterpreting? Did the Queen of Hearts just say she was going to tend your wound rather than the other guards?
You hesitated before picking up the first aid kit and standing up, handing her the kit.
She snatched the kit from your hands and used her free hand to motion you to follow her.
You silently follow her into her own room which was even more shocking. You've never actually been invited into her room before, it was a little intimidating. You tried your best not to glance around, she doesn't like a nosey woman.
“Sit.” Was all she had to say for you to immediately listen. You sat in a chair that was probably the most comfortable chair you've ever been in before.
The Queen pulled up another chair and sat in front of you, taking your hand. Her gesture was surprisingly gently and careful, a small gesture but very out of character for her.
She removed the plate armor on your forearm and upper arm so it didn't get in the way. You felt a little embarrassed since all you wore under your armor was a tank top so now your entire arm was bare.
The Queen went pretty quiet after she took the plate armor off.
You were of course silent too. You didn't speak to her, you couldn't. But the silence was deafening. You tried to conceal the pain you felt from the wound and her tending to it. It burned and you had a feeling you wouldn't be able to properly hold a sword for a couple weeks.
Her eyebrows furrowed with concentration on her face. It was a look you hardly ever saw.
Her fingers worked surprisingly delicately, applying a cloth to clean the blood. Despite her steady hands, there was tension in her posture; a slight hesitation in her every movement. Her eyes occasionally flicker to your arms, tracing the defined curves of muscle with ab unreadable expression.
You tried to remain calm and stoic but you would be lying if you said you weren’t intimidated.
You winced at the pain as she put pressure on the wound to stop the bleeding.
"Don't focus on the pain. Just focus on me, hm?" She advises though it sounded like more of a comand, making your legs weak and your heart feel it'll beat of your chest.
You just look at her and stare at her perfect features. Her perfect hair, beautiful eyes, perfectly sculpted face. It was hard not to focus on her with her in that thin nightgown.
"Say something." Bridget finally commanded after another very long silence. You weren't sure why.
She's been acting weird this whole time. Well, she's always been odd, but especially now.
The Queen couldn’t help but feel a bit flustered, though she keeps her focus, forcing her usual demeanor. The air felt thick, as she began to clean the wound itself.
“Uhm,” you hesitantly speak up as she demanded, “Are you okay?” You immediately felt like jumping out of the window after asking that. It was definitely the wrong thing to say. You didn’t even know why she wanted you to speak in the first place.
The Queen let out a mocking scoff, “I tell you to say something and of course the only thing to come from your mouth it idiotic.”
Your face heated up in embarrassment. But you really weren’t sure what you were supposed to say. Before you even could say anything she spoke again.
“Letting yourself get injured like this…” she huffed with a disapproving tone, “You’re dismissed from work for the next week until it’s healed.” She began to wrap a bandage around your hand.
You really felt like this was all a dream. Everything tonight felt like a dream. “Really?” You asked, clearly surprised.
The Queen rolled her eyes, not amused by your need for confirmation. She didn’t say anything.
“Thank you, your majesty.”
“Yes. You should be grateful.” She said. She then slowly stood up, tracing her hand over your muscular arm, making your skin crawl. Her touch felt dangerous but so good. Your heart raced faster and faster.
Her hand lightly squeezed over your arm and to your shoulder, making you take a sharp inhale. And you could almost swear her own face turned a little red.
“Your Majesty—“
“Silence.” She interrupted, effectively making your mouth snap shut.
She trailed her nail under your chin, tilting your head to look her in the eyes.
The tension only grew more intense, your mind flooded with thoughts you probably shouldn’t be having about your ruler. You were no stranger to these thoughts, but for a moment it felt like these thoughts were coming true. But then the Queen suddenly pulled her hand away and snapped her gaze off of you. It was almost like she was flustered. “Go home. Rest.” She demanded.
You slowly stood up, unable to take your eyes off of her. “Now.” She added after she noticed your eyes trailing on her.
You snap back into reality and firmly nod you head, “Yes, your majesty. Thank you…”
“Silence. Leave.”
You leave her room, wishing you could have stayed. But that surely wasn’t possible. You only stood there for a moment, imagining the Queen’s red and flustered face. Imagining her sudden change in character. The way she stared at your arm and then looked away. You wish you could read her mind, what was going through her head. But you couldn’t help but smile at the picture of it in your head. It was enough to keep you up all night.
Can you do bridget with a villain GF. Like major Sunshine x Storm or whatever
Perfect Revenge
Pairings: Bridget x Villian! Reader
Genre: Fluff with a splash of reader being a menace <3
Warnings: evil activities?
Note: Hi!! Thank you for your request, this is a bit short but this is the first time I’m writing for Descendants so hopefully you’ll enjoy this! Also thank you everyone else for the requests, I’ll start writing as soon as I get more ideas<3
“Sweetheart, you need to stop being so nice to people who don’t deserve it!” You frowned, voice raising higher and higher the longer you thought of Uliana who recently dropped a bucket of green paint over Bridget’s head.
It was humiliating for Bridget but she still forgave her, the thought made you more angry by the seconds.
“Calm down, baby. The school’s going to flood soon if you don’t, just…it’s fine just stop thinking about this.” Bridget being the angel she was, intertwined your hands with hers to calm you down even when she was the victim of a petty prank.
You sighed, your emotions got the best of you to the point that you didn’t realize that you summoned heavy rain upon the school grounds.
You lifted your eyes off the ground to see other students running inside the school, trying their best not to get too wet.
“Okay, fine…sorry but really, if she touches even an inch of your body again, Ursala might need to come on land to find her precious baby sister’s remains.” You said, smirking as you eyed Uliana and her gangs who were strutting to god knows where but you know it’s not to etiquette class.
“That’s well…good enough! Thank you baby, now stop sulking and go back to class!” Bridget smiled gleefully, giving you a kiss on the cheek before running off to her class before giving you a chance to respond.
Your face reddened at the sudden kiss even if it was only on the cheek. Bridget had always had this effect on you, even in the darkest of days she’ll somehow make it all brighter.
But just to your dismay, Uliana appeared in your sight again but this time she was alone. A smirk rose up your lips. “Sorry, Bridget. You’ve let Uliana off way too many times. She wants to play with fire, but I’ll give her all the elements.”
You silently followed her into the forest, waiting until she was too far from another living being aside from yourself to strike.
You stood on one of the branches of a tree, luckily the trees in the magic forest was big or else you wouldn’t have been able to hide so easily. “Uliana~” you sang out, your voice echoed into the darkness, scaring the living soul out of the villian.
“Who’s there!” Uliana shouted, trying to seem threatening but you could read her like an open book. She was trying her hardest not to tremble
“Is that how you speak to a friend?” You pouted, faking an innocent look as you jumped right in front of her.
“You!” Uliana screamed, her body fuming in anger but before she could utter another word you snapped your fingers. Then her lips was moving but no words came out.
“I?” You asked, pointing to yourself as you tilted your head to the side. “I what, Uliana?” your smile grew wider as the speed of her lips moved faster and faster, yet no words seemed to be coming out.
But clearly, Uliana wasn’t about to let you off so easily. She glared at you and was about to sprint to your way when you ordered the vines on the ground to pull her onto the ground, tying her whole body to the sharp grass.
Let’s say what happened next wasn’t very pretty.
“Yn! Guess what! Uliana hasn’t been bothering me at all lately, I think she liked the cookies I gave her!” Bridget smiled joyfully, placing the plate of cookies aside before running up to you to give the warmest hug ever.
You melted into her touch, nodding to everything she said. “Of course, who wouldn’t like my princess’s famous choco chip cookies.”
Bridget blushed at what you called her, “Your princess?” she pulled away from the hug for a bit to look right into your eyes, it was filled with love and adoration.
“Only mine, got it?” You claimed in a joking manner, grinning when she playfully pinched your cheek.
“Of course, silly.” Bridget cupped your face before pulling you in for a sweet kiss, a kiss sweeter than all the sweets in the world combined.
After pulling away from the sweetest you wished to never be apart from, you saw Uliana from the corner of your eyes. She looked like a deer caught in headlights after noticing your eyes on her, immediately she ran out of your sight.
It was you who made Uliana stop her bullying towards your girlfriend but no one needs to know about that. Especially Bridget, your girlfriend should never know that you tortured someone for hours just for her.
Your Heart pt 2
Bridget Hearts 🩷 x fem! reader
Half of it is in the present, making Bridget an adult, but i decided to use Queen of Hearts for her older cruel version
Also, I wrote it overnight, so it might not be that good. Bear with me 😭
"Hey B...you have to eat. Please eat this for me" Ella passed her friend a sandwich, a simple peanut butter-jelly sandwich, with the crust cut off in the shape of a heart. Bridget loved heart-shaped things. It was her signature, her favorite shape, her favorite word, her favorite thing -scratch that- it was not her favorite thing , nor would it be when you existed.
She loved raspberry jam. The sweet yet tart flavor, which reminds her of summer sunshine - bright, vibrant, and refreshing. The fruit possesses a delicate, ephemeral quality that makes it delightful and memorable for the senses. You loved raspberries and she loved how you talked about how 'they are better than strawberries because every raspberry tastes delightful and you'd have to pick a good enough strawberry for it to taste even remotely as good as the one and only fruit'
Now, she feels physically sick at the thought of even looking at the pink colored fruit.
"Come on, my heart, I'm going to teach you how to swim today. I promise not to let go of you ever, okay?" Your bright smile lit up her world as you guided her through the maze of the forest. It was an ordinarily hot day in Auradon, the tree crowns pleasuring you with shadows as the colder than usual water refreshed your bodies.
She loved your Thursday picnics on the hills. With your special pbj's and her basket of pastries. It was sweet as usual,
Why Thursday? She felt bad that no one liked this day of the week, the constantly forgotten day that no one really plans anything for it. Friday's better, and Wednesday is the middle of the week. So you made it your mission to make this day the best of all after seeing her sulking one day about it.
You'd sit and just talk for hours in the sun. Far away enough from your favorite tree for it to not be shielding you from the sunbeams. Her head on your lap, with your hand tangled in her pink locks as you dreamily described every possible shape you could see while looking at the clouds. Her eyes averted from you to the landscape every now and then. It was perfect. The warmth of the biggest star shining on your faces, colliding with the chilly breeze grazing your skin, it was a wonderful mix.
"What are you thinking about, my heart?"
The phrase rolling off your tongue just like a melody, Her name said by you engraved in her memory for good.
"Nothing, really. I'm just enjoying the moment with you. It means a lot"
It truly did mean a lot. A feeling nothing would ever top. The calmness she felt and relief while being with you. You were like an oasis on the desert. A huge blanket she jumped under after a long day. And a warm shower after a heavy, freezing rainstorm. The love bursting from you just made her wish she was the one loved by you forever. She wanted to be the only one your eyes lit upon seeing. Seeking every ounce of touch from you.
The sight of your unconscious body made Bridget shiver and freeze. She fell, her weak knees hitting the blood-stained ground. The once beautiful, white pebbles, turning maroon as the red liquid pooled out of the corpse.
Her hand reaching for yours only for it to vanish into thin air.
"Bridget?" worried Ella placed her hand over her best friends shoulder. "I will leave it here, okay? please eat, i will be back as soon as i can, promise." She placed the sandwich on the bedside table, grabbing all the untouched food she had brought previously. Walking out of the room, she was met with nothing but silence. Not even a hum from the very hurt and broken princess.
A dead body with a spear shot right through the heart. Hazed eyes and this defeated expression, staring longingly into the distance. The white button-up shirt peppered in small hearts growing more and more burgundy.
Ella felt terrible. She couldn't help her friend even if she wanted to. All she could do was to be there and comfort her. At the same time not being able to throw those awful memories of this day from her own head. Watching her bubbly and full of life platonic soulmate completely shut off and become a ghost of a person was truly painful. Those excruciating sobs she tried to cover up so badly at night hurt her heart to the point she herself tried not to let out a waterfall of tears.
"She will be back! I can feel it! I'm not crazy I swear!" Those broken attempts of yells mixed with cries of helpfulness.
Bridget didn't even try to. She only did so in case to not wake other students up. Her burning chest could not let her sleep. Even if she did have some rest, you visiting her in her dreams would only strengthen the feeling. She felt you faltering away from her. She began to forget the sound of your voice and the way you laughed. She could not possibly, she has to remember every single detail of you.
The gut-wrenching pinning in her lungs made her unable to breathe. All she did was lay under her covers, trying to feel the warmth your hands delivered every time you placed them on her body. Delicately on her waist, harshly on her shoulder, gently grabbing her fists, trying to stop her from her madness. Placing them on her cheek, trying to steady her breaths after another panic attack she had gotten from her confidence tumbling down like dominoes thanks to her bullies.
She touched herself in chance she gets the same result, the same sense of someone being there for her like you were. But all she got in return was a deathly cold hand on her skin and the imaginary feeling you were still there to hold her. To brush her hair away when it fell so ungracefully on her face upon baking another batch of cupcakes with you, raspberry cupcakes with the hint of white chocolate, Both flavors going excellent with eachother like you and Bridget once did.
She felt your presence, hugging her so close, so firm from behind, wrapping your arms around her body as if saying you're still there, and you always will be.
But you were not. It was a lie she was very aware of dragging herself into. Hurting herself every day with the false presentation of you walking around her room, smiling from ear to ear, blabering about how you'd make another couple happen, about how it was the perfect match. You were her perfect match, and now she's left alone with only half of her heart. A piece of yours was the only thing of you she had left, beside a hoodie you once had given her.
She was going mad. She stayed in it for days and days only for it to not lose your scent she so desperately wished to keep. But even this would falter eventually.
"B, come on, you have to shower. I promise not to wash the hoodie. It'll be waiting for you after you get out"
She lied, she had to wash the hoodie, it lost its charm and the beautiful smell. Ony giving her the illusion it was still there.
Heck, everything was an illusion. Her head was playing tricks, not even the best magicians could. Her heart fell for them miserably, sinking so low that nothing could ever pick it up and place back where it belonged. It belongs to you.
-
"Mom, Mom? Are you okay?" Worried Red placed her hand on her mothers shoulder. It's been half a year since her and Chloe changed the past. She was getting used to her mother being nicer, more loving. They talked more often, and she felt more comfortable being with her. But it was the first time she had seen her mother in such a state after what she had seen in the past.
The lifeless expression was quickly slapped off the Queens face - replaced by a very gentle smile - upon hearing her daughter speak, her touch sending a wave of shivers throughout her body "Oh yes Red my dear! We should be heading to the family's day dinner now, shall we?"
On the way to Auredon, through the rabbit hole, Red had to keep herself from asking about the woman she so yearned to know more of. She did not want to hurt her mother even more than she already was. It was one thing to lose someone. It was another to lose someone who devoted their whole life to you "I love you, mom,"
The Queen took ahold of her daughters hand smiling lightly, the unexpected words coming out of her mouth made Bridgets chest swell with gratitude "I love you more darling"
"I'm going to say hi to Chloe" Red ran off after giving her mother a side hug. Small gesture, but it made Bridget smile once again.
She loved having her daughter, her little angel. Red was like a small light in her life, someone she grew to care about after all she had been through. She tamed her, just like she used to tame her, the bad thoughts and the voices in her head, the anger and the anxiety.
"Off with his head!" the words echoed through the dining room of the palace.
"But, but Bridget, He is your daughters dad and soon to be ruler of -"
"He's no father to Red, nor will he ever be my husband. I don't need him anymore. Shall I repeat my order?"
She was always bound for this fate. To be this mean, cruel ruler. To go mad. Everyone's mad in Wonderland. It's up to you to decide how mad you're going to be.
But Red was there. To quieten the voices and relieve the pain. She lived for Red, who brought the happiness back into her life. The small bits of it, but nonetheless, she was her greatest accomplishment.
"Bridget!" Her bestfriends voice brought her back from her daydreams. After a very warm hug, she greeted her with yet another smile. Never this bright how it used to be, but still a smile of some kinds.
Her dear husband coming right after her.
The envy she felt forbidding her from sparing even a glance at him.
"We've just been talking with Beast and Belle about the upcoming plans of Mal and Ben, and - how are you B?" Ella stopped after acknowledging her dear best friend, staring at the ground, totally cut off from the world, the old rusty pebbles glistening in the daylight.
"I'm great, Charming, never better!" The pink Queen of Hearts burst out. Was she truly feeling better? Never, only in the comfort of her bed chamber with your blouse tightly clutched in her hands. "You could tell me more about your daughter getting into the advanced fencing group? I heard from Red she's excellent. Oh, and my congratulations on your son finishing up college. It's about time this happened!" she laughed light-heartedly reaching for her necklace, silver necklace with a cherry red glass heart.
Suddenly a crowd of ghasps echoed at the event, terrified royals hang tightly onto their lovers and children upon seeing a human-like posture fly over the sky, loose its every ounce of power left and hit the ground so hard it almost looked like a grenade explosion. As the dirt and small stones fell down, the King stepped up, getting closer to the figure, "Everyone keep calm"
The fallen angel covered was by its huge white wings, resembling those of Icarus, burned down by the sun and worn out presumably from flying too much. The groan it let out was so piercing and full of pain, squeezing every person's heart in sorrow and compassion. Its wings dissappearing in an instant, uncovering a beautiful, goddes-like woman. With wet hair falling imperfectly on her face and her clothes torn apart, loosely hanging off her body. Her bloodied bruised skin mixed with dirt was an excruciating scene to be looking at. Her broken voice let out whimpers and pleads.
"Let's get this creature out of here" Mal, the Queen, ordered, her eyes glowing green upon being alarmed of the potential danger.
"NO!" The Queen of Hearts let out loudly, startling everyone present. Dragging herself closer to the fallen angel, basically running straight to it, she dropped on her knees before her. Bridget's eyes started to water uncontrollably, her heart hammered in her chest as her shaky hand reached out to cup the angels head and place it on her lap. "My love..." she brushed your hair away, smiling from ear to ear. The tears streamed down her face as she finally held you close.
You were there. Alive.
Your eyes fluttered open, your blurred sight coming back to senses "Who are you?" You breathed out upon seeing the pink posture hovering over you "And why do you have my heart?"
Amidst Wonderland, there ruled a queen with a firm hand and a discerning eye. She held authority upon everyone who lived in her kingdom, strict rules made to keep everyone in order. But, beneath the hard and authoritative exterior she held, a hidden corner in her heart that had softened over time, a spot reserved for a certain guard….Y/n is her name, a diligent and loyal guard.
Y/n was known throughout the kingdom for her unwavering dedication and sense of duty, but also for the obvious affect she had towards the Queen.
In the Royal Palace, hearing whispers about the unusual behaviour the Queen had in front of the female guard was common, a lovesick like behaviour.
The Queen had first noticed her steadfast presence and her keen eyes that missed nothing. Over time, an unspoken fondness grew in the Queen’s heart for Y/n.
One day, the portrait of the Queen had been vandalised, painted red and slashed…..𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯, she has had it either the constant attacks toward her, despite it not being direct and she was determined to find the culprit.
As the queen entered the palace’s court, the guards bowed down before her presence and watched as she neared them before commanding them to stand.
The Jack of Diamonds rose to his feet and approached the queen with caution “My Queen. I apologise for the inconvenience, i-“
“Have you found the culprit or not!?” The Queen bellowed, tired of the incompetency of the guard.
“Not yet, your excellency, but i am working on it” Jack of Diamond uttered.
“You are considered to be my greatest subject! You have exhausted my patience…OFF WITH YOU-“ Just as the Queen yelled another figure spoke.
“Your Royal Highness! If i may interrupt.” The female guard, Y/n, said.
The Queen turned around ready to condemn, the one who dared to interrupt her, that is until she saw who it was.
“Y/n! Darling, of course, please…what is it?” The queen had suddenly calmed down at mere sight of the girl. The queen stood before her with a smile on her face, standing like a puppy waiting for its master.
“Your Grace, i would like to deeply apologise, the Jack of Diamonds isn’t to blame. I was the one on duty these past few nights and if there is someone to be punished, it is i. I have been incompetent and unable to capture the perpetrator.” The female guard contested, bowing down to her knees before the Queen.
The Queen grew panicked “No no, darling…” the red haired girl chuckled nervously “ i was simply joking, ahahah” she faked laughed looking around, threatening anyone with her eyes who didn’t laugh along with her “his head will stay on and so will yours, darling, do not worry about it” the Queen cleared her throat.
“Are you certain, your Majesty?” Y/n said raising her head to look at the Queen.
“Yes, yes….now, please, get up, no need to how to me” the Queen insisted taking Y/n by her arms, personally guiding her to stand up.
“Now, that…is now solved. Take your time, Darling, it is only a portrait after all” The Queen smiled before gesturing at the other guards “just replace it immediately or its off with you heads” she said before leaving along with the other guards.
The Jack of Diamonds approached her reluctantly “Just because the Queen has a soft spot for you, doesn’t mean that i do.” the guard said with hatred.
“What are you talking about, the Queen treats her Royal subjects the same.” The girl said firmly, she didn’t have time to slack off or the vandalist might cause another ruckus.
“Oh please, it’s obvious she likes you more than the rest of us, why? I do not know, you are annoying.” He said with a tone of jealousy.
“You know, a thank you, would be nice?”
“I don’t need you to save me, you weren’t on patrol last night, i was. I am not coward who cant take the consequences”
“Just say thank you”
“….thank you.”
“See….that easy”
It was an unusually tranquil day, with the sun casting a warm glow over the well maintained grounds. The roses, painted red under her command, stood vibrant and proud.
The garden, usually a place of solitude for the Queen, held an unexpected encounter that day.
As she meandered through the rows of bushes, she noticed Y/n conversing with a few other guards.
The Queen paused, watching from a distance as Y/n’s face lit up with a rare smile, her usual stern demeanor softened.
The sight stirred something in the Queen, a blend of curiosity and a pang of jealousy. She wanted that smile to be reserved only for her.
Determined to have Y/n to herself, the Queen approached the group with her authoritative presence commanding immediate attention.
“Y/n…darling, how have you been?” The Queen smiled interrupting their conversation.
“Your Grace! Why is am doing quite fine, how about you, ma’am?” Y/n said with a small bow.
“Why i am fine now that you are here” she replied before turning towards the other guards standing there awkwardly.
Her smile fell and her eyes turned cold.
“Leave us.”
“Yes, Your Majesty” they replied in unison before dispersing leaving her and the guard alone.
Y/n looked at her with a hint of confusion “Your Majesty, how can i assist you?”
The smiled on the Queen’s face returned “Walk with me, dear. I find the garden more enjoyable with your company”
Y/n nodded, as she fell into step beside the queen. They walked in silence with the Queen stealing glances at her, she noticed the tense and attentive stance of the girl as they walked.
“No need to be tense, my dear, it is only the two of us after all” she said calmly.
“Danger could be right around the corner, Your Grace, i simply can’t risk you getting hurt” the girl said looking around them.
The words of the guard made the queen’s cold heart, warm. She smiled to herself, feeling flustered, but deep inside she knew that the girl only said that because of her duty as a guard, still, she didn’t care that moment.
The Queen sparked another conversation between them “Y/n, do you often find time to speak to the other guards?” She said, her tone laced with jealousy.
Y/n looked slightly embarrassed. “Not often, Your Majesty. My primary duty is to you, and I take that responsibility very seriously.”
As they strolled deeper into the garden, the Queen asked about her background, her family, and what drove her to become a place guard.
“You speak with so much conviction” the Queen observed “What drives you to such loyalty?”
“I believe in justice, your Highness. And i believe you uphold it as a ruler”
The Queen was touched by Y/n’s sincerity and finds herself sharing “ruling is not easy, you know? There are days where the weight of the crown becomes unbearable” she said with vulnerability.
Y/n looked at the Queen with compassion “Even the strongest rulers needs support, your Highness. You are a strong and just ruler, i wish for your majesty to never forget that.”
“That means more coming for you, Darling” the Queen smiled.
“I am here to serve you not just as a guard, but also as a friend, if you’d let me” the guard said with a small smile.
Although getting called as only “a friend” stung a bit, the Queen felt an unexpected warmth in her chest, a feeling of genuine connection as she gestured for the girl to take a seat on the bench “Your words bring me comfort, Darling. I did not realize how much I needed such honesty and support.”
They sat in silence as they watched the sun set, the Queen felt a new sense of peace and a weight lifted off her.
When it was time to depart the Queen hesitated before saying “Y/n, your presence brings me comfort in ways I find hard to express. You are more than just a guard to me.” right then and there, she was tempted to tell her what she really felt towards her, but it didnt feel like the right time.
Y/n’s eyes widened slightly, a soft hue of pink dusted her cheeks “Your Majesty, I am deeply honored by your words. I never imagined my duty could mean so much to you.”
The Queen reached out, gently holding Y/n’s hands “It means more than you know. I hope you will continue to walk with me, not just as my guard, but as someone I can trust and confide in.” She said with hope.
“Of course, your Majes-“ y/n started.
“Bridget. Please call me Bridget” the Queen replied.
Y/n wanted to protest, but she recognised a certain vulnerability in the Queen’s voice and a new look of peace in her eyes, where the usual storm brewed, so she smiled and nodded her head.
“Of course, 𝘽𝙧𝙞𝙙𝙜𝙚𝙩, i would be honoured to do this again” Y/n said with a comforting smile before leaving.
As they both walked back to their own respective quarters, both realised that they’re relationship has surpassed the Ruler and guard phase and passed onto something much deeper and profound.
That night the guard laid in her bed with a smile on her face and new feeling in her chest, making her giddy.
Meanwhile on the other side of the palace, the Queen laid in her bed, silently squealing at the progress she made with the guard she had been infatuated with for so long.
Both slept with a new yet deep understanding of each other.
Date for Castlecoming
Pairings: Bridget Hearts x fem!reader
Genre: fluff
note: I just find Bridget so cute and sweet I couldn’t help but write about her.
Summary: Bridget and reader have a crush on each other but reader don’t know Bridget is sad to know you don’t like Castle coming but you pulled out the courage to ask her.
Red and Chloe watches as Uliana disappear with all the other villains following after her.
At least now they know who’s gonna prank Bridget. The two girls then follow to where their mothers ran off to and had finally caught up to them inside.
“How’s Uli doing?” Bridget asked still feeling guilty of what happen. “I feel so terrible. . . . I should go apologize—” before she could turn to look for Uliana, Red had step in front of her, stopping her from leaving.
“Don’t!” Ella said.. “She did it to herself. And it serves her right.” She told her. “She’s always bullying us.” She explained to the two girls.
Red nodded in understanding. But them all heads turn t someone calling for Ella. The door opened, stopping the conversation, and Prince Charming walked in.
“Ella, you that was amazing.” He said to them.
Ella couldn’t help the smile appear in her face at the prince’s arrival.
“You ladies bested Uliana! I don’t think anyone’s ever done that before. That makes you braver than I am. And I’m a prince!” He turned to Red and Chloe. “Though I don’t really like to push the royal angle.”
Chloe couldn’t help but smile at the familiar feeling of seeing her parents together. But red could only jut stare at the prince, her interest in him disappear when Chloe told her that he was her Dad in the future.
“Yet you always find a way,” Ella said stiffly.
Charming grinned at her attitude and turned once more to Red and Chloe.
“You’re the new girls, right? I’m Charming.”
“That’s debatable,” Ella argued.
They’re always the same even in the past. Chloe thought , recalling the same conversation her parents would have back home.
Charming ignored her comment and continued speaking to Red and Chloe. “And you guys picked the right time to show up, because . . . it’s Castlecoming week!” he said a little excited.
He tried to catch Ella’s gaze, wanting to hint something but no luck. She seemed to be intentionally avoiding his’.
“Castlecoming is an outdated, elitist tradition,” Ella informed.
“Wait, so . . . does that mean you’re not . . .” Charming question.
“Squeezing into a super-expensive dress and painful shoes? No thanks,” Ella stated.
Charming tried to hide his disappointment. “Right. Well . . . if you happen to change your mind, I’ll see ya there.” He flipped his hair in his charming way before he turned and took off down the hall.
Ella watched him, her expression unreadable. While her best friend just each them interact with a knowing smile on her face.
“Hey, Ella, he seemed very interested in your plans for the festival,” Chloe said. “Was I sensing some chemistry?” She added in a suggestive tone.
“Uh, no.” Ella scooted at the accusation. She turn to Bridget who was fidgeting with her necklace and gave her a look. “Okay, yeah, everyone loves him. And sure, he’s gorgeous and he seems nice, but you know how royalty is.” But she quickly corrected herself. “Except you, B. You’re different.”
Chloe stared at her mother in disbelief. How her parents had ever ended up together was starting to seem like a mystery to her. She had always thought they re love at first sight but seeing what just happen, that doesn’t seems to be the case.
Bridget sighed longingly. “I just wish someone was that interested in going with me. Everyone already has plans, so . . .” she explained to Red, having a particular person in mind.
Bridget had intentions of asking but the fear of rejection compels her throw such plans and bury her unresolved feelings deep deep down where no one could every see or find out about.
Red seems to be curious about another information about her life, she never know who her mother ended up with. and hr mother wasn’t one to share such intimate information with her.
During the conversation, something caught Ella’s eyes, she look closer and notice a certain brunette walking on their way, you. Ella looked at her best friend with a sly smile.
“Bridget?”
“Hmm?” Bridget hummed in respond but a yelp escape her lips as Ella abruptly turn her. Now she is face to face with the very brunette she was thinking about.
“Hey Bridget” the brunette princess greeted happily at the sight of the sweet pink princess.
“Hey, Hi hi hi y/n” Bridget couldn’t help but laugh nervously when facing you. A side of her that aren’t normally displayed.
It was most certainly foreign to see her mother like this. Red was already bombarded on how sweet her mother was compared to how she knows her. Red had seen how her mother rule over wonderland for 16 years of her life. The tyrant, said that her dress is as red as blood of all her victims off of their heads.
“I heard what happen.” you then inspect every each of Bridget, making sure nothing was out of place. You were so worried after you heard what happen that you practically jump from your seat and race to where she is. “I’m glad your okay” you said after making sure she truly is okay.
“Of course I’m fine” Bridget smile again, feeling a little bashful of the display of concern from her. But them a frown reappears on her face as she recalls what happen. “I hope Uli is alright”
You smiled at the girl in front of you. No matter how mean or bad someone can be to her, she would still worry about others before herself. Which sometimes worries you.
“I’m sure she’s fine and probably had it coming so you don’t have to worry about her okay?” you reassured.
“Okay” Bridget nodded and smile at the comfort.
“Hey Ella” You turn to the blue-haired girl who had a cheeky smile on her face as she watches the two of you.
“Hi y/n” Ella greeted you back. Other than Bridget, you were the other princess she likes. “Any plans for Castlecoming?” She asked.
“Oh, well…I despise everything it stands for regardless of me being royal” you said honestly, showing disinterest for the event.
You weren’t one that enjoys dancing around in a heavy, extravagant ball gown, putting fake smiles and forcing to talk with other royal children in hopes of creating friendship with other kingdoms. That would only cause her stress rather than entertainment. You would rather stay in your room or better yet the library with a good book and hot cup beverage and drowning out the worries of reality.
You train of thoughts may had made you missed the sad look in Bridget’s eyes but the other girls in your company didn’t. It was obvious that the Princess of Hearts likes you but she lacks the courage to ask her.
Lucky for her, she doesn’t have to.
Ella cleared her throat, catching your attention.
You turn to look at Ella. The blue-haired girl tilted her head towards Bridget, encouraging her.
You looked at Bridget who’s sad expression disappeared the moment she notice that you were now looking at her.
“Bridget?” You started.
“Yes?”
“Will you go to Castlecoming with me?” You cleared your throat and took a deep breath, collecting all your courage and finally asked. It no longer matter to you if you gets rejected today, a long as you were able to asked Bridget. And if she did said yes, then Castlecoming would definitely be more fun.
“But you just said . . .” Bridget started.
“I know but if we go, it won’t be so bad.” You stated.
With that Bridget squealed in delight at the news. “Yes yes yes” she couldn’t contain herself and starts jumping up and down and pulled you into a hug, squeezing in excitement.
“You’re coming too Ella” You declared.”And we’re not taking no for an answer” you said firmly when you saw the girl was about to decline the offer.
“We could set her and Charming for a dance” you whispered to Bridget who smiled in agreement.
With no way out Ella reluctantly agreed.
“We have to go try on dresses right now.” Bridget let go you before taking Ella’s hand in hers. “We only have two days!” She spun into Ella’s arms.
“I can’t. I have to get back home. But maybe later?”
“Okay,” Bridget said, her smile ever leaving her face.
She was to excited, she’s gong to castle coming with her best friend and the person she’s been meaning to be with. She gave Ella one last squeeze before taking taking your hand, dragging you away with her.
“Who was that?” Red was finally able to asked as she saw the two princess running off to who knows where.
“Princess Y/n also known as Bridget crush since forever” Ella said smiling she was finally seeing Bridget happy with someone.
But that didn’t clear up anything for Red, she never know anyone by the name Y/n let alone someone who is close to her mom and has feelings for no less. Who is this person and how come she had never meet you before and yet you seems to be someone important to her mother’s life.
Where was this person when the prank happen, how come she had never heard of you before. Too many questions running inside her head that she didn’t question Ella when she left to go home as well.
While at Bridget’s dorm room, she had pulled out ever dress in her clothes checking each one and showing it to you.
To be honest you don’t know which one to choose because Bridget looks beautiful in all of them.
Bridget didn’t mind modeling of her dress, clearly enjoying herself especially now that you and her are together.
They spent most of the day inside the room, enjoying each other’s company as they tried on different dresses they’ll be wearing.
And maybe after Castlecoming you could be more than dates going to the dance.
Bridget x fem! Oc
"Hecate! Get back here." Uliana called out to the witch, who send a last sneer to Bridget and Ella, and then quickly followed after Uliana.
"Stupid Bridget." She grumbled as she joined her friends, who were all exchanging glances, all but Uliana, of course.
"Mh, valentine's day is coming up, you two gonna do anything?" Hades asked Morgie and Hook, who looked at each other and shrugged.
"Probably, you?"
"-stop this nonsensical blabbering! She just publicly humiliated me!" Uliana snapped, Hecate nodding along, towering over most of the group.
"So...? What do you want to do about it?" Maleficent gestured for her to come up with something, looking incredibly bored.
"My god, let's go babe." The two left the rest, probably to go make out and scare first years.
"I have homework..." They frowned at her, "I still want a fucking future!" Hecate threw her hands up as she walked away, Morgie and hook whistling after her to tease her.
"Go buff boss lady!"
"Morgs, she's not the boss lady."
"Go buff lady!"
-
"Don't you dare show your face around here again." Hecate almost growled out, staring down at a boy who was trembling so bad she thought he might faint.
"God fucking damn it." She gritted her teeth as she picked up the love letter from the boy, quickly tearing it to shreds before anyone could see the name on it.
"Oh... hi Hecate!" Bridget had trued going to her locker, but Hecate was standing in front of it, little snippets of pink laper in her hands.
"Mh?" She arched an eyebrow, looking down at Bridget with narrowed eyes.
"What." Bridget smiled at her, producing one of the macaroons she had made out of nowhere.
"I made macaroons this morning! Would you like one?" She bit the inside of her cheek as she watched Bridget bite at her bottom lip.
"No." She watched as her face fell, this was good.
"Oh... um- okay, bye then?" Bridget still smiled at her, and Hecate stalked off, shoving the boy who tried to put the letter in a locker down harshly, glaring around, this was a warning.
-
"Wassup fuckers." Hecate grinned madly as she appeared amidst her friendgroup, half of the homosexuals were making out.
"Hi Hecate, one question, let's go ruin Valentines." Hecate shrugged at the not-question, following Uliana as she slammed lockers closed in front of faces.
"Hello." Hecate appeared behind a boy, who was lurking near someone's locker with a red note.
"Let's see shall we? Dear Br-." It burned in her hand, ashes falling down as she slammed her hand into the locker he was about to wiggle it into.
"Huh, I thought I made it clear that nobody-!"
"Oh my gosh! Hecate! Why did you do that?!" Bridget rushed in, and Hecate's hand quickly disconnected from the locker, looking at the princess with a frown.
"Your fist! And my locker..." Her eyes widened, prying open the locker and flattening out the dent from the inside before slamming it closed again.
"What locker." She harshly spat out, Uliana had long left her alone to her shenanigans.
"Your fist! Does it hurt-?"
"No! Stop asking if anything hurts' why do you fare so much! Ugh!" She quickly stormed away, dragging the boy with and pressing his face against the lockers as she walked.
Bridget stood in silence for a second, then slowly opened her locker, still looking down the corridor where Hecate left in hopes she'd turn back around.
"Nothing. Again." She sighed, looking through her books for the book she had to put in.
"Oh! I guess I didn't see it!" She giggled, carefully licking up the pink paper, leaning with her shoulder against another locker as she read it.
Darkening your doorstep, I stand before you.
Darkening your doorstep, I kneel for you.
Darkening your doorstep, I hereby request.
Darkening your doorstep, your forgiveness is not earned, yet.
She sighed, rolling her eyes fondly, it was the same sort of poem she'd been getting for the oast year.
"How sweet, secret admirer hits again?" Ella scared her, reading over her shoulder.
"Oh my-! Don't scare me like that Ella! But yes, he's been doing this for a year now, I wonder when that forgiveness he speaks of will come soon." Ella hummed.
"Yeah, no boy writes like that, that girl is gay and a hopeless romantic." She theorised, Bridget slapping her arm.
"Don't be like that!"
-
"I just don't know what's going on, I just... I hate her and her sweets and everything about her! But I can't have anyone else have her, which is stupid and dumb, I don't even like her."
"No, you love herrrrr!" Morgie smirked at her, using his hyper flexibility to twist his spine and circle his entire body around Hecate's torso.
"Also this is getting creepy, Hook!" The captain poked his head up from where he was laying, rolling his eyes.
"Come here darling!" Morgie unwrapped himself from Hecate, who was rambling about her problems to Maleficent, the only one who really couldn't give a lesser fuck.
"Just fuck her, see if you like it, if you don't, you hate her, if you do... well then you might have some issues to sort out with Uliana." She shrugged, playing around with her hair as she used Hades as a chair.
"Exactly what she said." The god, who was laying down with her on his back, agreed.
"M'kay... i'm not doing that, Uli?" The sea witch groaned, rolling over from where she was trying to sleep.
"Shut up, just go ask her out or something, or write her another one of your poems." Hecate stuttered as she tried to find an answer, looking around to see if they all knew.
"Allow me to step closer as I scream, cry, and beg, scream for the lives i've lost trying to find you, Cry for the time spend without you, and Beg to spend just a mere second more with you'- one of my favourites, honestly, I had to write it down to remember, also, i'm stealing it in like a year." Morgie held up a paper, laying across Hook with a smile.
"It is pretty spectacular." The pirate shrugged, winking at Hecate. "Go over there and just fuck her, prove how amazing you are in bed and you shall see! The doors open before thee!" He mocked the posh royalty, changing his accent.
"Why did I even ask if all you guys think about is sex."
"I don't"
"Uliana, I say this with all respect, but you don't even feel attraction towards anyone."
-
Hecate fidgeted with her rings as she waited for the door to be opened, standing in front of the girl's doors was so much more nerve wrecking than beating people up for asking her out.
"Oh- Hi Hecate, anything you need?" Bridget had opened the door, and Hecate contemplated if she should just take Hook's advice.
"Yeah-!" She coughed as her voice cracked, straightening up and leaning against the doorpost to aat least try seem cooler and more collected.
"I just wanted to ask you out on a date tomorrow, y'know, with it being valentines and all." WHY DIDN'T I SPEAK LIKE I WRITE??? SHE'D AT LEAST KNOW THAT'S ME!!!!!
"Like... romantically?" I should dash now that I still can.
"Yeah, romantically, seems totes cool right?" NOBODY SAYS THAT AND IT'S NOT COOL!!!
"Yes! Of course i'll go on a date with you!"
I'm sorry for darkening your doorstep, I just had to say, a single second spend with you is worth more than a thousand sun filled days.
