The Rules of Ever After, written by Killian B. Brewer, is a young adult M/M fairy tale romance. It's very cute and fluffy, and it's a lovely read if you're looking for a lighthearted happily-ever-after. It takes classic fairy tale tropes and makes them gay, and it's just fun.

I got it from the local library after seeing it recommended as a soft, casual afternoon read. I got through it pretty quickly, so if you're looking for something simple, fun, and wholesome, this is a great one to check out.

Here's the official plot summary:

The rules of royal life have governed the kingdoms of Clarameer for thousands of years, but Prince Phillip and Prince Daniel know that these rules don't provide for the happily ever after they seek. A fateful, sleepless night on top of a pea set under twenty mattresses brings the two young men together and sends them on a quest out into the kingdoms. On their travels, they encounter meddlesome fairies, an ambitious stepmother, disgruntled princesses and vengeful kings as they learn about life, love, friendship, and family. Most of all, the two young men must learn to know themselves and how to write their own rules of ever after.

I think I would have probably been obsessed with this book if I'd had it as a teenager. I love fairy tale homages and retellings, and I used to re-read all my favorite MG & YA fairy tales until the books fell apart. Finding it as an adult was a fun throwback to the sort of books I loved best when I was younger. If you're looking for cute young-adult MLM romance, give this one a try!

Hello! Very sorry for being late to answer this but I was gathering books. While I have read historical articles and texts on the Revolution and the Ottoman period, they were in Greek. I will list here books I found in English, mostly by foreign authors. I checked them and they seem mostly fine (I usually try to avoid those with specific western agendas in the descriptions, and generally I am trying to show the most objective works. "During the early days of the infection, Sheriff Wayne Hardin was instrumental in halting the rapid spread of the infection.

However, the inmates he recruited to be Hunters proved unreliable, and as events spiraled out of control, he found himself putting many of them back under arrest."

Few can claim responsibility and right action in this land. None can claim innocence. Sheriff Hardin claims nothing himself. But the truth is that the former sheriff was one of the first of us on the ground in this war against the Sculptor. Rumor is, Hardin was a sheriff in one of the infected towns here in the Bayou, some say Stillwater, some say DeSalle. All that's in the past, as Hardin's actions will likely prevent him from ever wearing the badge in an official capacity any more. Regardless of where he was Sheriff, Hardin was recruited like many of the original hunters by a member of the organization named Lynch. Lynch saw the calculating but resolute sheriff as an ideal candidate for the AHA, and quickly put the organization's resources at his disposal. In those dark days, fighting the infection at all cost was of paramount importance- containing the event to Louisiana was hard enough, let alone the backwaters of New Orleans. Hardin was instrumental in the affair, recruiting more hunters to the fight- by emptying the prisons of the crescent city. For some, this was a chance to do something with conviction and with dignity. For many more, this was a death sentence. Hardin gained many admirers for the ruthlessness of his methods in the era, but as many detractors due to the callous recruiting methods that saw orphanages and mental asylums conscripted into the AHA, only to be used up in half formed, unorganized posses. Whatever was thought of him, Hardin's recruitment drive did manage to contain the spread of the infection with a wall of bodies, and Hardin became an on-the-ground expert and guide for many new hunters in the bayou. This, however, led to its own set of troubles. As stated previously, Hardin was recruited by Lynch, a senior member of the AHA, without approval from Dr. Phillip Huff Jones, then Director of the AHA. Jones and Hardin managed to work together throughout 1894, but tensions between the men began to roil as 1895 approached and the growing rifts within the organization began to fracture into factions. Huff Jones cited many of the unsavory elements recruited by Hardin as a source of this infighting, and while Hardin agreed in most cases, it became clear that Hardin saw this infighting as inevitable, surrounding himself with a number of allies to form his own pact. By the time Huff was assassinated, Sheriff Hardin had withdrawn from the AHA public, preparing for the conflict that was sure to erupt. Hardin has a number of known allies, including Thomas Bridge (commonly referred to as "The Mountain Main"), Marshall Brewer, and of course the mysterious Lynch. Additionally, Hardin is known to hunt the bayou with a number of weapons, many acquired from fellow early-adopter Jason Trevors (The Carcass Gunrunner). Signatures weapons of his include the Noose, a Vetterli Karabiner, and Brass Flower, a LeMat Mark II. Descriptions of these weapons are listed below.

The King, accompanied by The Queen, The Prince of Wales, The Duke of York, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Princess Royal, The Duke of Gloucester, and The Duke of Kent, today held a Chapter of the Most Noble Order of the Garter in the Throne Room, Windsor Castle.

The Princess of Wales, The Duchess of Edinburgh, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence and The Duchess of Gloucester were present.

The Baroness Ashton of Upholland and the Lord Patten of Barnes were present.

The following Knights Companion were present: the Lord Butler of Brockwell, the Rt Hon Sir John Major, the Lord Phillips of Worth Matravers, Marshal of the Royal Air Force the Lord Stirrup, the Lady Manningham Buller, the Lord King of Lothbury, the Viscount Brookeborough, Lady Mary Fagan, the Marquess of Salisbury, Lady Mary Peters, the Baroness Amos and the Rt Hon Sir Tony Blair.

Reptile Movie (Review) and Film Summary

Benicio Del Toro slinks and weaves through Grant Singer’s debut thriller “Reptile,” but the film struggles to develop a confident personality around him, ultimately coming apart at the seams. Clearly inspired by David Fincher’s meticulousness—Singer too is a music video vet and has worked with The Weeknd, Skrillex, Sam Smith, and many more—“Reptile” is overly mannered and precious with its details, but its biggest misstep is its failure to understand that procedurals need to get narratively tighter and not just more convoluted. Del Toro always brings it, and this is actually one of his more intriguing performances in a long time, but one consistently wishes that it was in a movie that knew what to do with it.

Will Grady (Justin Timberlake) is a Scarborough real estate mogul dating an agent named Summer (Matilda Lutz). They flip foreclosures on expensive homes in the area under the watchful eye of Will’s mom, Camille (Frances Fisher), and there seems to be some brewing tension in the relationship. One day, Will meets Summer at a house she’s showing and finds her brutally murdered.

The suspects line up quickly for Detective Tom Nichols (Del Toro) and his partner Dan Cleary (Ato Essandoh). First, Grady couldn’t be creepier—Timberlake leans way too hard into the slimy silver spoon kid background of the kind of dude who lines up a new girlfriend who looks a lot like his dead one almost immediately. Will is clearly into some shady shit, but he found the body, right? Or did he? Could it be Summer’s soon-to-be ex-husband Sam (Karl Glusman)? He, too, is sketched as a few cards short of a full deck, introduced on CCTV footage cutting a stranger’s hair so he can turn it into art. Yeah, he’s weird. That’s not it! The cavalcade of creeps on the suspect list also includes Eli Phillips (Michael Pitt), a guy whose dad got screwed on a Grady deal. Did he kill Summer to get revenge?

As if that trio of potential murderers isn’t enough, the script by Singer, Benjamin Brewer, and Del Toro himself fills out a massive cast with the people in Tom’s orbit, including his wife Judy (an effective Alicia Silverstone), who helps him work angles on the case in some of the film’s best scenes. She’s fearless and intellectually engaged in discussing the mystery. She knows and loves Captain Robert Allen (Eric Bogosian), Tom’s boss, who is introduced receiving an MS diagnosis. Yes, this is one of those scripts where everyone has an instantly identifiable trait that tries to take a traditional character just a bit left of center. It's all over-written, exaggerated stuff that only reminds you that you’re in a movie.

Of course, it’s perfectly fine to be aware of a writer's voice and director’s eye—no one would say someone like Fincher quietly observes��but the problems of “Reptile” comes down to style vs. vision. There’s plenty of style here, but it never feels like anything coheres into an actual vision. The great Mike Gioulakis (“It Follows,” “Split”) slides his camera through these imposing spaces, but to what end? Does it mean anything? The abundant style of “Reptile” is increasingly hollow as its overlong 134 minutes unfold. "Reptile" tries to hold onto too many things at once and lands none of them, leaving subplots unresolved and characters inconsistent.

And yet, there’s that performance in the center. Del Toro is so good here, capturing a man who has seen it all and just wants a peace that won’t come. He doesn’t overplay trauma or experience; he just allows those elements to influence his body language and the stares from those unforgettable eyes. It’s also a playful performance at times as Tom uses elements of his journey into real estate to influence his home remodel. There are some decent turns in the ensemble—Silverstone, Bogosian, Pitt—but Del Toro is on another level, existing in his own space. A space that belongs in a much better movie.
