Today's polish is a purple shimmer. That's it. That's all I have for the description. But believe me when I say, there is so much more to this polish than that. I needed something on my nails fast, so I grabbed this, another polish in the Orly Breathable line. The first coat was super sheer. So I went in slightly heavier with the second coat and got full opacity (I could see longer nails or thinner application needing a third coat). Then it dried down with a satin finish and I though "interesting." Then I got it in the sun and saw the way the purple shimmer shifts pink and my mind was blown. 🤯 I prefer to wear these with topcoat but I couldn't bring myself to ruin the gorgeous satin finish. This polish is without question the best of the Breathable polishes I've tried so far. This is Alloy Matey from Orly.

Today's polish is beautiful, but I can't decide if I like it. It's another Orly Breathable polish and while the color is exactly what I wanted, it took three coats to get it fully opaque. Because it's a one step polish and doesn't require top or basecoat, needing to apply three coats means it will take forever for it to dry on its own. So it really does need topcoat to avoid dinging the finished mani. And if I'm applying that many layers of polish (4 total), I might as well wear basecoat, two layers of regular polish and a topcoat. So the time saving benefits of wearing an Orly breathable polish has been negated. It's still beautiful though, and I'd probably wear it again, but at the end of the day this one still disappointed me. In case you were curious, I wasn't wearing topcoat in these pictures.
