BounceHeart came to the clan as an apprentice and decided he hated the leader. An ambitious warrior he waltzed up to MartenStar and said "I could do better." and MartenStar said bet, making him the deputy. Their dislike of each other was maxed out, but ever since he became deputy, MartenStar stopped making examples out of innocent mediators and med cats. I wonder why. Probably the oldest cat to be made leader, used the short time he had in charge to train an apprentice to be less of a tyrant than the old leader. That apprentice was PounceFur. PounceFur came to the clan as a kit with their medicine cat mother. She was a strict and aloof apprentice, BounceStar taking her under his wing- they were very close and she learned a lot from him as he spun stories to help her learn from his and the previous leader's past mistakes as well as teaching her excellent fighting skills, always at the front of a patrol together. She earned his respect and he took her on as a deputy as soon as she trained her own apprentice. She has a strong love for her clan, and while still strict, always enforcing the code, she does so with compassion and humility, holding herself to the same standards she holds others. Very warm but doesn't tolerate anyone going out of line.
