While you’re criticizing the anti-aging industry (which absolutely should be criticized), keep in mind that Botox has legitimate medical uses, and is not solely employed to diminish wrinkles. I received Botox treatments in my leg when I was eight years old to help with my cerebral palsy. When I explained this to my peers, they all made fun of me for being a third grader who had Botox, because when they asked their parents about it, their parents told them it as for vain old ladies. How we talk about medical treatments matters.
#had my first treatment on halloween#lying in the hospital bed dressed like The Snow Queen from the hans christian anderson fairytale#(really just a mass of white and blue polyester with plastic snowflake jewelry)#anyway. that’s what I think about when I think about botox#there’s probably many other medical treatments that have legitimate uses other than anti-aging

What is Cystic Acne?
Cystic acne is one of the most severe forms of acne, characterized by deep, inflamed and often painful breakouts. These breakouts occur when oil and dead skin cells build up and block pores, creating an environment where bacteria can thrive. The immune system's response to this bacterial growth leads to the deep, inflamed lesions known as cystic acne. This condition can be particularly challenging to treat, and many sufferers seek specialized acne treatment in the Bronx to manage their symptoms effectively.
Understanding the Severity of Cystic Acne
Cystic acne goes beyond the occasional pimple or superficial blemish; it involves large, red and tender bumps filled with pus. These lesions can be quite painful and are prone to scarring. Unlike other types of acne, cystic acne stems from infections that occur deep within the skin, making them more difficult to treat with over-the-counter remedies. Individuals facing this condition often feel self-conscious and seek professional help, like acne treatment in the Bronx, to find relief and improve their skin's appearance.
The Importance of Professional Treatment
Due to its severity and potential for scarring, cystic acne often requires professional intervention. Dermatologists can provide prescriptions for oral antibiotics, hormonal treatments or even isotretinoin, depending on the individual's specific situation. Additionally, professional treatments may include corticosteroid injections to reduce inflammation or procedures to remove and drain the cysts. Seeking expert advice and treatment early can prevent the condition from worsening and reduce the risk of long-term scarring.
In conclusion, cystic acne is a complex condition that can significantly impact an individual's quality of life. It necessitates a comprehensive approach to treatment, often involving professional care. For those living in areas like the Bronx, finding specialized acne treatment options can be a critical step towards managing this challenging condition, improving skin health and restoring self-confidence.

But still won't erase the fact that he's ready to do everything for other people except for his wife.
Remember the dog bowl incident in Spare? He physically fought Harry because his staffs are getting mistreated but where is this energy for Kate?
William didn't have to make it obvious that after a decade Hilary Mantel continues to be right. Kate is just designed to sire an heir and now she's of no use because she's done with that.
Wow, someone who believes Harry's version of events as the full truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth when even Harry disclosed that he doesn't know what's true of his memory or not.
You must be new here because:
In 2012, William sued the pap and the magazine that published topless photos of Kate. At the time, Kate was on a private property and had a reasonable expectation of privacy to be topless in the first place.
In 2018, William threatened lawsuits when people began alleging that he was cheating on Kate.
In 2021, William confronted a pap that was stalking his family and scaring his children. The pap recorded the encounter and posted it online.
In 2015, William issued his own KP statement to protect Kate and then-baby George from paparazzi stalking and harassment.
In the 2000s, William dropped friends who invaded his and Kate's privacy and leaked about them to the press.
In 2015 and in 2022, William moved his family twice out of the fishbowl of central London, away from media and paparazzi harassment.
In 2020, William had Tatler edit a published article to remove an insulting reference to Kate and her family?
In 2018 and in 2019, William kicked Harry out of Kensington Palace and the Royal Foundation because of how he and Meghan were treating his family, in addition to his staff.
In 2018, William supported Kate's decision to pull Charlotte out of bridesmaid dress fittings for Harry's wedding.
In 2010, William is the one who insisted for The Queen and the BRF to include Kate's family as often as possible.
In 2024, William let Kate prioritize her health and not work during her chemo treatments and in her recovery.
In 2024, William leaked the hacking (or attempted hacking) of Kate's medical records to put everyone on notice.
In 2024, William stopped releasing his family's photographs to the media after the Mother's Day fiasco. They're now posted only to their official social media now, instead of distributed to the rota.
In 2021, William accompanied Kate to the elementary school the day after the Sussexes' Oprah interview aired in the UK. The event had been announced as, and was only ever expected to be, a solo Kate appearance and he joined her so she didn't have to handle the press or confront them by herself.
In 2014 when Charles's comments about the Middletons getting more time with George were leaked and published, William didn't change a thing about how he and Kate were raising George. He made Charles change his habits to fit in time with George.
Iin 2019 when a plastic surgeon claimed Kate was his boxtox patient and he was using her photos in his advertising, William had the palace intervene with a cease-and-desist. (I'll remind you: the issue here is not that they wanted to hide Kate's botox use, but that they wanted a doctor to stop fraudulently claiming she was his patient.)
And William insists on traveling with his family together instead of separately, per protocol. That's not a guy who finds his wife useful only to bear him children; that's a guy who can't picture his life without her. (And before you tell me "actually no, that's a guy forcing his wife to take care of their children because he can't be bothered," no, it's not, because if that was the case, then William would travel separately from all of them and require Kate travel with all the kids, but that is not the case, because William is on that same plane/helicopter/car with them.)

my suffering is profound and legitimate, yours is frivolous nonsense
Just reading a blogger I like but I had to laugh because she was talking about how beauty practices are bad for women's mental health, and she left a note saying "unlike gender affirming care! gender affirming care improves people's mental health and it's nothing at all like cosmetic practices."
TIL, when an older woman gets botox to remove her wrinkles and avoid facing the inevitability of decline and death, her problem is spiritual/structural and she needs to Do The Work to deprogram her ageism, unlike people with dysphoria, who of course have legitimate claims to cosmetic alteration.
And it is cosmetic - no part of the body that is altered by HRT or SRS or any of the feminization/masculinization surgeries is failing to function or functioning poorly. The problem is with the brain, which perceives the body parts as foreign or undesirable. We may sympathize with someone struggling with such a condition, but that does not change that the body parts being altered were already healthy and the alterations are cosmetic, and the relief being brought about is mental.
But plenty of trans people openly admit that separating body dysmorphia and gender dysphoria is a losing game. Contrapoints's video on "Beauty" (transcript) has the observation that she feels least dysphoric when she is meeting feminine beauty norms:
But I also think that trans people often talk like gender dysphoria is this intrinsic, personal experience that's always 100% valid and never has anything at all to do with the external pressure of beauty standards. But in fact, gender dysphoria is not sealed away in a vacuum away from the influence of societal ideals and norms. [...] When I try to psychoanalyze myself, I find that my desires to look female, to look feminine, and to look beautiful are not exactly the same, but they're woven together so tightly that it's kind of difficult to untangle them. And the opposite is also true, that for me feeling mannish or dysphoric usually goes along with feeling ugly. I don't have a lot of days where I walk out the house thinking "well, I'm giving femme queen realness, but apart from that I look like absolute shit".
Max Robinson's book "Detransition," from an FTM perspective, points out how the prospective trans man views his suffering as unique from and distinct from women's, even as the surgeries they seek are not especially different:
The stereotypical cosmetic surgery patient is seeking to become closer to being perfectly feminine - she wants to be beautiful. Transitional cosmetic surgery, on the other hand, is widely understood to mark the patient as ex-female and therefore unfemale; this is part of the meaning FTMs seek to create through surgery. FTM desire for cosmetic surgery is positioned as something totally different than the stereotype of a woman who 'merely' seeks beauty at her frivolous leisure. FTMs are deemed to have a rare affliction that needs urgent, life-saving treatment. Conversely, there is nothing more common than for a woman to become obsessed with her socially-deemed 'unsatisfactory' looks and desperately seek to change them, believing that such a change is the only thing that can restore her quality of life. This comparison will feel like an insult to the FTM. It will feel that way because we believe other women's suffering doesn't matter, and recognize how much ours does. Women's suffering is ordinary but ours is extraordinary. For us to matter, we must be differentiated from the silly little woman who wants to be pretty so badly she'll pay thousands of dollars (now billable to credit cards and loan programs designed to pay for elective surgeries!) to risk her life and health. These women don't need to be fixed; we do. FTMs know that we don't deserve a woman's fate but have not yet realized that no woman does.
I have more to write on the topic of the relationship between gender identity and beauty culture, but I'll end this one here. It makes sense that somebody who is identified with the opposite sex would also be affected by the standards of beauty expected of that sex. (Non-binary identification is more complicated and requires separate treatment.)

just thinking about a re5make
just the title. i'm on an re4r binge again (when am I not) and I'm just so excited to go back to Kijuju.
re4remake is easily my favorite game in the series and even as someone who has yet to finish the original, i still see and listen to the accounts of others who did - and their comparisons between the two mean a lot and have me excited for what's in store for re5. i think i'm so excited because unlike og re4, i have beaten re5 countless times and im just - ahhhhhhhh. so excited. (if i come across a sheva in og re4 mod watch me beat it immediately lol)
was watching a playthrough of re4make and person playing was complimenting it while also going through her favorites between og and remake. she was commenting on the krauser boss fight, and then the saddler one. and maybe it's literally just how goopy and gross saddler is (and that's what reminded me of excella), but i am so excited to see excella's boss fight. just, in that moment, i was like "oh shit. there is a chance that we're gonna get an updated re5 and we're gonna see botox buddy #2 in all her remake glory." and that's so fucking cool.
i have so many (constructive, i hope) criticisms of re5 - i played the xbox 360 version originally a year ago, and then this summer came back to it, saw re5 on sale, and caved. Since this summer i've only been playing the PC version - and i play it with a lot of mods.
my main complaint (and also source of excitement) is the absolutely disgusting horrible godforsaken green filter, or the idea of a *lack* of it. re4make is so fucking pretty. i am so excited to see that treatment given to other resi games. and i want more from the environment too. there's literally so much opportunityyyyyyy capcom pleaseeeee.
you change location so much in re5. in particular, im a huge fan of the marshlands and it's essentially the stone retrieval thingy in chapter 4(?) of re4make. just - imagine the marshlands with more color?? more foliage?? just, more?? agh. and there's the beautiful scene with the sun rising behind sheva as she and chris ride around on the boat? i need that whole section with the sun rising. do you know how pretty that would be? and then when you get all the slates and open the door, the sun can come up more and whatnot idc. just, let me ride the boat around the pretty marsh. let there be more animals just chilling about (not just the alligators/crocodiles/i can't tell the difference/i always forget/i'm sorry). let me kill enemies with a beautiful sunrise behind me pleaseeeee. i know resident evil is a "gross" series with lots of gunk and shit, but there are so many instances of the games being absolutely gorgeous. the train in re0? queen zenobia? the rcpd literally being built on top of an old museum? let re5 be pretty, capcom. pleaseeeeeee
i'm also just excited for the bossfights overall. everything in re5 is huge and in a potential re5make, there's such an opportunity to make it feel just MORE. irving? excella? jill's bossfight in general??????? literally there is so much potential here. i'm so excited for a jill fight. make the environment more. the voicelines when chris calls out for her. when you play as sheva and AI Chris will stand in front of Jill so you don't shoot her??? i could cry.
also capcom make me like the mkono boss fight please. when i grab the flamethrower, make it do something :)
also, all of the ruins in the game just have so much promise. i haven't played tomb raider in a hot minute, but i remember that shit being fire. give it the tomb raider treatment or something idk.
another thing that i'm so so desperate for is dialogue. i NEED more conversation between Sheva and Chris. They're literally at the hip the entire game, so let them talk. I want to know more about Sheva. I want Chris to slowly open up about Jill, Raccoon City, and the Spencer Mansion. Let that man talk a bit about Wesker - Sheva is walking into hell with him, she deserves to know what's up. (and please bring karen dyer back pleaseeeeeee). from my understanding, sheva was really only supposed to be a liaison between the different BSAA locations. she's essentially there as a translator and guide for chris - yes, she can take care of herself and kick ass, but she wasn't supposed to have to. and then shit hit the fan. so let them talkkkkk about it. let her open up about her dead parents and shit. let chris open up about his dead parents. orphan bond and shit idk
i'm not sure how co-op is gonna work with potential re5 or re6 remakes, but I personally love being able to play with other people. either way, a girl can dream.
i'm sure there's more i could think of but this is what came up off the top of my head. i have no clue if we'll get an re5make (it seems like it would make sense that it comes next after 2,3, and 4 getting a remake). i'm not like keeping my hopes super high or anything but i do want my thoughts out into the universe because i think it would be cool to look back at what i was thinking before re5make was promised/not promised/delivered, etc.

VERA FACTS PART 1!!
Eerie Beauty Rituals: Vera has bizarre, almost occult-like beauty rituals, including using obscure, ancient remedies that make her skin look porcelain-perfect. Rumor has it she has a secret supplier for "forbidden" beauty treatments that border on the mystical. Either that or Botox because woman’s face DOES NOT MOOVE.
Superstitions: Despite her cold, calculating demeanor, Vera is secretly superstitious and avoids certain "bad omens" like broken mirrors or walking under ladders. She believes these will sabotage her image and career, though she’d never admit it.
Dark Inspiration: For roles that require deep emotional depth, Vera listens to creepy, unsettling music or old horror soundtracks to get into the perfect headspace. It gives her that edge of danger when performing.
Snake Whisperer: She has a pet snake, a rare albino, that she named after a Russian queen.
Obsession with Youth: Vera is obsessed with maintaining her youth and often uses her daughter Katya as a reminder of the younger version of herself. She’s terrified of aging and will do anything to stay in the spotlight and retain her beauty. She probably has spent thousands of dollars on stuff like plastic surgery and stuff to keep herself young. Making a deal with a vampire or something to turn her in order keep herself from aging isn’t above her either.
The Puppetmaster: Vera secretly enjoys watching people she’s manipulated collide with each other’s lives. She’ll subtly set up scenarios where people in her circle are bound to betray or clash with each other, just to see how it plays out like a twisted social experiment.
The Ultimate Critic: When she watches movies or stage performances, she’ll either silently or vocally critique every actor’s technique, believing no one can ever reach the level of mastery that she has achieved.
A Secret Garden: Vera maintains a secret greenhouse filled with rare, poisonous flowers. She’s memorized each flower’s effect and uses them to "study" how people react to certain toxins. She claims it’s for future acting roles but sometimes toys with the idea of using them in real life.
Living in a Museum: Vera’s home is like a museum of high art, with priceless artifacts and sculptures scattered around. However, it’s almost too pristine—cold and devoid of warmth, much like her personality. She thrives in this environment, where everything is perfectly controlled.
Inspired by Royalty: Vera often imagines herself as Russian royalty, like a modern-day Tsarina, and subtly dresses the part in her private life. Her style reflects this with long, regal gowns, ornate jewelry, and extravagant furs.
Chess Master: Vera is an avid chess player and uses the game as a metaphor for her approach to life. She’s always several moves ahead of everyone else, orchestrating situations with precision. She’s never lost a game—because she only plays when she’s certain of victory.
Secretly an Opera Fan: Though she hides it well, Vera loves opera. It’s one of the few things that moves her, and she occasionally attends private performances under a different identity to maintain her mystique.
An Eye for Talent: Vera has a nearly supernatural ability to spot young talent before anyone else. She enjoys grooming new stars for their rise to fame, but only if they serve her larger plans.
Signature Perfume: She always wears a custom-made perfume that no one else has access to. It’s a blend of rare flowers, spices, and something almost unplaceable—an unsettling scent that lingers long after she’s left the room.
Elaborate Lies: Vera loves crafting elaborate lies about her past, and no one really knows what’s true or not. She enjoys keeping people guessing about her origins, making her all the more enigmatic.
Ghostwriter: In secret, Vera writes ghost stories, channeling the eerie energy she cultivates in her own life into short stories about revenge, manipulation, and hauntings. She’s even considered turning one into a film.
Luxury Hobbies: Vera takes up extravagant hobbies to match her image—like falconry or collecting rare, antique fashion pieces from the 18th century. She never practices these hobbies in public, but they add to her eccentric, high-society persona.
Psychological Manipulation: She’s mastered the art of gaslighting and will subtly twist words and situations until people begin to doubt their own perceptions. She’s so good at it that even other manipulators are caught off guard by her tactics.
The Meaning of Numbers: Vera has developed a fascination with numbers and their symbolic meanings. She often plays with the number 28 in her life, sometimes as an internal joke, assigning it an almost sacred significance for her schemes.

Achieve a Youthful Elegant Neck with Nefertiti Neck Lift
Achieve a Youthful Elegant Neck with Nefertiti Neck Lift
The Nefertiti Neck Lift anti wrinkle injections is a cutting-edge, non-surgical treatment aimed at rejuvenating the neck and jawline, giving you a youthful, lifted appearance. Named after the Egyptian queen Nefertiti, renowned for her elongated and graceful neck, this treatment utilizes anti-wrinkle injections to smooth wrinkles and tighten sagging skin in the neck area.
How Does it Work?
As we age, the skin around the neck and jawline loses elasticity, leading to sagging, wrinkles, and the appearance of jowls. The Nefertiti Neck Lift uses Botulinum toxin (commonly known as Botox) injections to target the platysma muscles, which are responsible for the downward pull on the lower face and neck. By relaxing these muscles, the upward pulling muscles in the face can function more effectively, creating a naturally lifted look.
Benefits of the Nefertiti Neck Lift
One of the most significant advantages of the Nefertiti Neck Lift is that it’s a noninvasive procedure with minimal downtime. The treatment takes under 30 minutes, and most patients can resume their daily activities immediately. Results typically start to appear within a few days and can last between 3 to 6 months.
This procedure is ideal for individuals experiencing early signs of aging in the neck and jawline but who aren’t ready for a surgical neck lift. It is also a great option for maintaining a youthful, well defined neck as part of an ongoing antiaging routine.
Is the Nefertiti Neck Lift Right for You?If you’re seeking a nonsurgical way to lift and rejuvenate your neck and jawline, the Nefertiti Neck Lift with anti-wrinkle injections may be the perfect solution. Consult a certified aesthetic professional to discuss how this treatment can help you achieve a youthful, elegant appearance with minimal downtime. Book your consultation today and take the first step toward a more confident, refreshed look!

Beauty doctor dubbed 'the Queen of Botox' who faced watchdog probe cleared to work without restrictions
A beauty doctor dubbed the 'Queen of Botox' who was investigated by a medical watchdog has been cleared to work without strict conditions on her practice.
Dr Nyla Raja, who has a string of celebrity clients, has built a multi-million pound empire thanks to the success of her 'Medispas' in Wilmslow and Alderley Edge, opening branches in Liverpool, Birmingham and on Harley Street in London.Last year the M.E.N. revealed the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service had imposed 'interim conditions' on the former GP following the launch of an investigation by the General Medical Council (GMC).
More than 2,000 people waited over 12 hours in Greater Manchester A&Es last month - the situation is only getting worse
Those conditions have now been lifted, the GMC has confirmed, which means she is free to practice without the conditions which had previously been in place.
The watchdog would not comment when asked if the investigation had concluded.
Dr Raja, 45, had previously been required to abide by strict conditions published on the GMC website. They required the mother-of-three from Prestbury, Cheshire, to inform the GMC of any new medical role she took up, although she was allowed to continue to practice medicine in the meanwhile.
Registered under the name Naila Raja-Jaweed, the GMC imposed 'interim conditions' on her registration following a tribunal on May 6, 2021.
The conditions imposed at the time required the doctor to notify the GMC of any new post she took up including the job title and its location, and also to provide any new employer or contracting body's contact details where she has been given 'practising privileges'.
She was also told to 'personally ensure' the GMC was told of any new post before she took up and that 'all relevant people' wre told of her conditions.
Dr Raja was also required to inform the watchdog if any disciplinary proceedings were started by her employer or contracting body or if any of her practising privileges have been suspended. She was also told to inform the GMC if she applied for a post outside the UK.
Dr Raja was also told to allow the GMC to exchange information with her employer or contracting body to whom she provides medical services. She was also told to inform her 'responsible officer', a senior doctor who oversaw her case, of any new medical role.
A spokeswoman for the GMC said at the time: "Dr Raja-Jaweed is subject to conditions that were placed by an interim orders tribunal (IOT) at the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service.
"This means that a GMC investigation is ongoing but that conditions have been placed on the doctor’s registration."
Dr Raja's updated registry on the GMC website shows there are currently no conditions on her practice. A bulletin on the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service website states interim conditions were 'revoked' following an interim orders tribunal on October 5.
In an interview with the Manchester Evening News in 2018, Dr Raja said she was on a mission to get the non-surgical cosmetic treatment industry better regulated to protect men and women against 'backstreet botch jobs'.
The M.E.N. also reported last year that a second Cheshire-based beauty doctor was being investigated by the GMC.
Dr Roshan Ravindran, 41, who founded a £4.8m beauty clinic in Wilmslow, was told he must inform the watchdog of any new medical role he accepts while the investigation into him continues.

He was also told he could not carry out consultations with female patients without a chaperone pending the conclusion of the probe. Later when he was suspended from practice he said the decision was an 'injustice' and said the 'the nefarious basis for this decision' would eventually be exposed.
His current register on the GMC website also shows there are now no longer any conditions on his practice.
The University of Manchester medicine graduate, who worked as a senior house officer at Wythenshawe Hospital before launching Klnik in 2018, insisted at the time the allegations did not concern his practice, and he has vowed to clear his name.
He declined to comment when approached by the M.E.N. Dr Raja has been approached for a comment.
A spokesman for the GMC declined to comment further on either case when asked about the status of the previously reported investigations into the doctors. The spokesman said: "We are not able to provide information about complaints or investigations unless the matter has been referred to a full hearing at the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service."
