So that Partner Showcase and Indie World, huh?

In all honesty, this one kinda just went by me. Somewhat due to the lack of interesting stuff in it, but mostly due to you-probably-know-what. But nevertheless, let's cover this double whammy of a presentation

Balatro: Friends of Jimbo; DISTRACTION DANCE MUSIC HEARD. BEING THOROUGHLY DISTRACTED Neva; I swear I've seen this kind of game in like five different forms yet they all look the same. They're like Fromsoft games Moth Kubit; Corporately cute, I suppose Coffee Talk Tokyo; I don't drink coffee, so I can't really get the hype Sea of Stars; This just looks like the same kind of basic JRPG that you would see in any given anime when they need a "video game" to fill time PowerWash Simulator: Shrek DLC; someBODY ONCE TOLD ME THE WORLD WAS GONNA WASH ME! Morsels; Why does this look like Cuphead plus Little Nightmares to me? Date Everything; Anyone else remember Chairem Anime? Or at least skipped to Sofaden? Peglin; Isn't this the kind of game that's best suited for mobile? Wobbly Life; So Human Fall Flat but free roam? Pico Park 2; If there's one thing Grian taught me, its that this game is far more toxic than the Indie World guys are making it out to be Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope DX; You're telling me there's still stuff to add for Shovel Knight on Switch? I thought that was all burnt through Europa; Kinda getting BOTW vibes, NGL Cuisineer; ...So is it a roguelike but Overcooked or something? On Your Tail; Wonder how much furry you-know-what has been uploaded to you-know-where already? Metal Slug Tactics; So did SNK sell off Metal Slug or something? How does this count as Indie then? The Plucky Squire; ...Honestly I got nothin' for this one Pizza Tower; Y'ALL READY TO GET FUNKY?!

Tetris Forever; You guys think there are actually 99 Tetrises by this point? Star Overdrive; Why is this giving me Marvel vibes? Goat Simulator 3; It's Goat Sim. What else can I say? Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 1st; Basic-looking RPG. I got nothing Star Wars Hunters; Is this Star Wars Overwatch or something? ...okay S.T.A.L.K.E.R.; What is this, "I Can't Believe It's Not COD"? Worms Armageddon; Alright, where's my Holy Hand Grenade? Disney Dreamlight Valley; What was new within this that wasn't here the last time? The Patrick Star Game; Is this a goat sim-like game? No, this is Patrick Fitness Boxing 3; I imagine if you made this into a VR game, it would become the new Wiimote-into-TV Capcom Fighting Collection 2; Power Stone & co rise from the grave (Except the one Capcom fighting game series that's all about things rising from graves) MVC Fighting Collection; Break out the Mango Sentinels and find where your curly mustaches at, because mid-September is MAHVEL TIME, BAYBEE! Atelier Yumia; Honestly this looks like a poor mans Xenoblade to me Suikoden Iⅈ When will these sprite on 3d rpgs END?! Dragon Quest III HD-2D; (read above) Castlevania Dominus; Huh... neat Civilization VII; Let's just hope that Ghandi is as far away from this one as possible this time round Tales of Graces f; Wait, there's more to Tales of than just Lloyd and Yuri? Wow MySims: Cozy Bundle; Miis plus Sims make this, apparently FNAF: Help Wanted 2; har har har-har har har har-har har-har FNAF: Security Breach - Ruin; Dude, even the trailer was kind slow in framerate. That's how you know that this game has it rough Epic Mickey: Rebrushed; Unless I'm mistaken, I think that was actually the first time we've gotten a look at Tomorrow City. Every other location in the Wasteland was shown off before, but not here Tales of the Shire; Neat Just Dance 2025; Just Dance must have found the Fountain of Youth with how little dying its doing Funko Fusion; This just looks like a lesser Lego Dimensions, to be honest EA Sports FC 25; Dude, who even cares about EA Sports games? (Outside of our goat and savior Madden 08) Lego Horizons Adventures; I just want to know if and/or when the next Tt Lego game will be Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma; In all honestly, the whole "Japanese" aesthetic has been far overplayed to me. It's completely lost any luster in my eyes Yakuza Kiwami; FOUND YOU ON SWITCH, KIRYU-CHAN!!!

All in all, kind of uneventful. But at least not in terms of the rest of today, because SONIC 3 TRAILER, LETS GOOOOOOOO!!!

Your computer monitor looks so nice! Besides Witcher, what other games do you play?

Thank you! I am enjoying it; it’s quite an upgrade from my last one c:

I haven’t been playing too many games recently; I’m trying to get back into it! Though I finished The Witcher 3 forever ago, when it first came out.

Some of the games that I’d like to get back into would be Crusader Kings II, Europa Universalis IV (I never actually learned to play this; it is a goal), Endless Space 2, Endless Legend, Anno 1800.

I’ve got a bunch of PS4 games waiting in the wings as well. Bloodborne, the entirety of Dark Souls, Horizon Zero Dawn, Sekiro Shadows Die Twice, the two Nioh games, Death Stranding... the list goes on, and on, and on.

And then there’s my Switch library: Legend of Zelda BOTW, the newest Fire Emblem game, Animal Crossing, etc.

And then there’s my collection of solo board games...

I have a lot of stuff to play. And no time to play it because it is Hordak-loving hours 24/7 in this house right now! My free time is spent answering asks and writing posts c:

But that’s okay. All of these games will still be here when I find the time!

1. What are your most visited websites?

Tumblr, Youtube, Facebook, BBC World News, Al Jazeera, Twitch, Twitter, and the Paradox Interactive EU4 sub-forum are the ones that I check daily.

2. Favorite video games?

Europa Universalis 4, Crusader Kings 2, most Zelda games, Skyrim, Banjo Kazooie/Tooie, Paper Mario, uhh... there’s a lot.

3. Song you’re currently into?

Lately I’ve had “Long Gone” by Fiddler’s Green stuck in my head. In terms of albums, which is more what I listen to, I’ve been listening to a lot of Goldfish, Nightwish, and Caravan Palace.

4. Favorite time of the year?

Two weeks or so in spring when the cherry blossoms are in bloom where I live. It’s really quite nice, as I’m sure you’re aware.

5. How many kids would you prefer to have if they were very easy to take care of?

None, honestly. I just have no desire whatsoever for kids, whether they are difficult or not. I suppose it might be neat to have like... one... in the distant future, but not at this point in my life.

6. Is there a year you look back on very fondly?

I used to feel that way about 2011 or 2012, because I had a lot of friends and I was very carefree. But now that I’m actually starting to make something of myself, I don’t look back at the past with as much pained nostalgia as I once did. I’m more interested in the future now, I think.

7. What’s the oldest website you have bookmarked?

That would be Google’s Translation tool. After that, it’s an interactive world map which shows political changes for every year since 3000 BCE. Both are incredibly useful tools.

8. Favorite Pokemon?

Sylveon.

9. What’s your average dinner look like?

Chicken, perogies (spelling wrong intentionally because this is a stupid word, no offense to any eastern Slavs who might read this), and assorted vegetables. All of which, except for the vegetables, is drenched in hot sauce. 

10. Favorite dessert?

I’m not partial to sweet foods, but fresh chocolate chip cookies are always good.

11. What are you most looking forward to?

Graduation, or more accurately, being at grad school.

1. What is one video game you cannot live without?

I would say Europa Universalis 4. If I had no other game, I would be fine with just the one. As of right now, I have... 3296 hours in it. Jeez.

2. When was the first time you have ever used a computer, or accessed the internet?

Oh Jesus I dunno, uhh... when I was like... four, or five? We had a computer before I attended kindergarten, and my kindergarten class had one as well. So I don’t know. I’ve been on the internet regularly since about 2007, though.

3. What is your favorite memory/best moment in any video game?

I’m not sure that I could list just one. If I had to recall a memory, I would think... the time that I had the most fun with video games, I think, was when a friend of mine and I spent several days playing through all of the Halo games together on Legendary difficulty. We didn’t have much that was special that just the two of us did, but we had that, and it was a blast. Not really one event or moment, but it is a good memory.

4. What did you eat for breakfast?

Cheerios - with milk, unlikely someone I know. :p

5. Is there any video game you are looking forward to?

One day, Paradox might release Victoria 3. But... so far, it is just as elusive as other third-installments tend to be. As for games that are actually coming out, I would say that... I don’t pay that much attention to new releases anymore. Maybe some BotW DLC? I dunno.

6. Is there any show/movie you are looking forward to?

Always hyped for Game of Thrones.

7. What did you find the most interesting to learn at school?

My inability to answer this question is directly tied to my current difficulties in choosing a major for grad school. But uh, I dunno, I guess the most interesting thing to me is just how incorrect or inaccurate pretty much everything we are taught in high school is. That’s not really one specific thing, but it’s something that has stuck with me.

8. Which countries would you consider going to for a holiday?

All of them. But mostly Europe. I really want to go to Europe.

9. What is your favorite drink?

Haven’t a clue. Lately I’ve been drinking nothing but water and black tea. I guess I have grown more partial to beer lately, especially at restaurants, but I wouldn’t necessarily call it my favourite.

10. Who are your favorite Let’s Play-ers on Youtube?

I don’t really watch any, but DDRJake is pretty entertaining on Twitch.

11. Which generation of Pokemon do you personally like the most?

Fifth, because fifth generation was the first one (and the only one) where I actually beat the game. I didn’t get into Pokemon until Johnny made me play Pokemon Black a few years ago, and while I didn’t really get into the series as a whole, I did thoroughly enjoy that game.
