Ehi! Do you think that "the black dog" could be about Matty?

Sure I do! Why not? When we have precisely three words to go off of, the world is our oyster black dog!

You know what? Let's have some fun. I'm going to wager a guess I haven't seen much speculation about yet, which is that 'The Black Dog' could be about Cerberus! Yep, the three-headed dog that guards the gates of the underworld in Greek mythology…

To explain his possible significance, I must first introduce you to Psyche: the Greek goddess of the soul, whose symbol is butterfly wings…

But she wasn't always a goddess! She used to be a mortal woman. One so beautiful that she stirred jealousy within the goddess of love & beauty, herself, Aphrodite, who ordered her son and god of love, Eros (also known as Cupid), to make Psyche fall in love with the most wretched creature imaginable. Instead, Eros found himself so taken by Psyche's beauty that he fell in love with her, himself!

And so, Psyche was whisked away to a palace wherein an invisible lover bestowed upon her great luxury and riches, keeping her company each night in total darkness to obscure his identity. So long as she never looked upon him, they could remain lovers.

Eventually, curiosity got the better of her and Psyche shone a light on Eros… So stunned by his beauty, she dropped her oil lamp, burning him. Injured and betrayed, Eros escaped into the night, abandoning her.

Distraught, Psyche set forth to make amends with her lost lover, confronting Aphrodite (also known as Venus), who presented her with a series of trials she must first complete…

One of which required a trip to the underworld…

And, yep! You guessed it. Psyche had to sneak past the three-headed (black?) guard dog Cerberus… (who might've been referenced in 'Blank Space' via a trio of Dobermans?:)

Then, ferried by Charon, Psyche traveled across the River Styx…

While Psyche traversed the underworld, Eros healed from his burns and then set off in search of reconciliation with Psyche, ultimately returning to his lost lover...

So, if the Karma video really is a sort of visual retelling of Psyche's journey back to Eros… who do you suppose is on the piano bench at the end here? Some say Jack (who, interestingly, recently released a song featuring Matty on piano!)… But, considering the romantic tone of the Psyche & Eros love story… it seems to fit Somebody Else a bit better, wouldn't you say? Somebody who, like Eros, was burned after exposure…

Somebody who might symbolize the ram's horns on Taylor's underworld mask (Aries), somebody whose birthday aligns with the solar eclipse this year, somebody who shares an association with Bonnie Parker and Wizard of Oz, somebody who drinks out of eerily similar coffee cups in front of a clock that happens to bear the same time as the twin coffee cup from Karma…

If any of these Psyche/Eros parallels happen to be more than pure coincidence, then perhaps it is worth noting that, much like Betty and James, Eros and Psyche also end up together 🏹

That said? Yeah, yeah! I know. 'The Black Dog' will probably be a depressing song, given that it is basically synonymous with depression. But I have a small window for clowning left. That said, there's also Mayhem, a black dog who is surely worthy of a sonnet!

Another fun guess: Toto from The Wizard of Oz! But I'm not sure if he's technically considered brown or black, but in my head he's a black dog, anyway lol Toto would be a great subversion of current expectations, at least!

9:45am Who Took My Hat?

Sirius: You will never believe what I found in this house Monty brought me to to stay in for my seemingly extended vacation in your world.

Lunar: What did you find?

Sirius: Could my comfort tiny please wake up for this?

Sirius: Okay. Crescent said we’re allowed to so I named him. But guess who found one of your backups?

Eclipse: WHICH ONE!?

Sirius: A blind one. His name is Brown Dwarf. He hadn’t charged since he activated and you said that they activated like a week and a half ago. So I put him on a charger last night and he’s talking to me now.

Lunar: Does Monty even know he’s there with you?

Sirius: I can defend myself. You saw what I did to BB’s face.

Lunar: True, point conceded.

Sirius: Anyways, Brownie seems pretty docile and nervous so I’m guessing he isn’t a threat as much as a surprise housemate.

Eclipse: I haven’t even had my coffee yet and you’re out here finding backups

Sirius: It’s a little hard not to notice a guy basically dead in your room kay? I noticed him last night and I figured I’d get him charged some before I went around asking him questions and naming him.

Lunar: Did you seriously read the chat history to find if you could name him?

Sirius: Read from the beginning to the newest so I’m caught up on my favorite soap opera.

Lunar: I hate you sometimes.

Sirius: Used to that.

Lunar: Get therapy!

Moon: It’s weird waking up at a different time than you.

Sirius: Is this how my brothers would have interacted if I wasn’t a problem?

Lunar: You are not a problem!

Eclipse: He’s right. You aren’t a problem. You’re the strongest magic user I know right next to Moon. You protect your family, despite one being horrible to you and the other being comatose. You didn’t ask to be taken out and put in your own body, Charon made that choice for you. It was never your fault for just existing and it wasn’t your fault that the extraction process ended so badly.

Sun: Why’s Lu having a fit at 10:15 in the morning?

Crowe is who I play as in fallout 4 but she's not the Sole Survivor, in fact I don't have one.

Burne is Crowe's little brother. Soot is Weather's childhood friend and former Legion.

Bonnie I play fo4 with as well but her save has more content mods, while Crowe's is just aesthetic mods.

I finally watched the new episode of Legacies! I don't have many thoughts this time but here we are anyway

• Kaleb and Cleo's scenes were adorable. I honestly was kinda annoyed a few episode ago at the thought of them being paired off but now that we're seeing a bit more of them, I don't mind. They're so cute!

• Charon looked so cool?? Did they spend their entire budget on him?

• Controversial but I actually liked selfish Hope. The storyline could be really interesting if they continue with it. Seeing her willing to put other people at risk, and that whole scene with the ascendant and the black magic? Hope making selfish decisions is actually quite fun to watch, so I hope they give it a proper storyline!

• Also, speaking of the black magic scene: that was really cool, I was very tense the entire time, and the way Josie tried to help, and the veins appearing on all of them? It felt like a TVD scene, kinda like the Kai episodes of Legacies, and I'm here for that, too!

• Landon's back! Sort of. I really don't think it's actually him, or at least not a full version of him, because like everyone's said: no necklace. And it just feels... weird.

• Lizzie siphoning MG Hurt so bad, oh my god. That whole speech while she was doing it nearly had me in tears, and then afterwards when he says the Salvatore school isn't his home anymore! I have never felt pain like this!

• And lastly: Who the fuck is the friend that Josie is staying with? A friend (singular, not plural, so not Damon and Elena) in Mystic Falls with a spare room? I can think of three people. Jeremy, but I'm sure he doesn't actually live in town and is only there occasionally but at the same time, he might live in town and he would have a spare room. Then there's Matt, who would definitely have a spare room but something about that doesn't feel right? I just doubt that it's him, but he's more likely. And then Dorian, but she would have said that she was going to stay with Dorian if that was the case, and I'm also pretty sure that Emma lives with him so those chances aren't high either, so who the hell is it?? Because it can't be Bonnie (Josie would have said Aunt Bonnie, not a friend of Caroline and Alaric), and they have no other friends, so!! I want a name!! OH WAIT, WHAT IF VALERIE IS BACK IN MYSTIC FALLS?? Let it be Valerie, I am begging. It won't be but god do I want it to be her.

• Oh wait, now lastly, Wade and Jed were both precious throughout the episode. Poor Jed getting scarlet-lettered by the witches!! And Wade saying he wants Landon back because he and Gabby need a DM!! I love them so much.
