Okay I listened to a different clip of dub Dabi and it sounds a lot better and a lot more like what I’d imagined he’d sound like. Idk if the first clip I listened to just had bad direction or a different context or whatever else I just remember thinking that his voice sounding GRATING and that I hated it 😭 but I will admit it’s not as bad as I thought….

I still hate Tomura’s dub though

This is why I reference their JP voices in fics the Eng Dub NEVER aligns with how I assumed they’d sound. Except for Himiko. Her Eng VA kills it every time

I remember way back when I watched season 1 for the first time in dub after watching the sub I was so. Fucking confused with what they did with Shigaraki’s voice. Like his JP voice is so pretty and soft and nice to listen to and then his Eng sounds like he swallowed sandpaper and spends 90% of his time lurking incel Reddit pages. Absolute blasphemy

Is it wise to say MHA would butcher Dr Kanou if they found Ken Kaneki in Aogiri? Fine, I'll give MHA Talkie AI props for possibility of Tokyo Ghoul characters being part of MHA but everything is either 'FUCK YOU VILLAIN! DEATH GLARE LIAR! KEN GOT CAPTURED! Come on buddy, a hero in training needs to return to the class.' Ken would not do well in 1-A but I will never consider him a villain.
