When Jews stand up for ourselves we’re often told we’re “crazy” or that we “need help.”

Nope. We’re just fighting for justice, representation, equality, and not being erased. Nothing too crazy about that, if you ask me. In fact, if you’re reading my posts and actively take the time to message me hate, I suggest you take those same few minutes and instead read about the history of antisemitism both globally and in the US. Read a chapter from David Baddiel’s book Jews Don’t Count, or the book People Love Dead Jews by Dara Horn.

If after you read those, Anon, and you still think that I “need therapy” for standing up for my people. My minority. My ethnicity. My culture. My life. For refusing to bow down to Jew-erasure and the blatant disregard for Jewish people. Then I’ll gladly send you my Venmo so you can pay my therapy co-pay.

To my fellow Jews and allies, we are not crazy. We are not wrong. Speaking out against hate does not mean you are lesser or bad or in need of help.

The only help we need are more friends in the fight for Jewish representation. We need help to end Jew-erasure and help to educate everyone on who Jewish people really are. Help to get an apology from Amazon and Red, White & Royal Blue for really just totally erasing Nora’s Jewish ethnicity and then blocking people who brought it up.

(P.S. Therapy is great. Highly recommend it. It’s not an insult or something dirty that only people who need serious help go to, except clearly this Anon thinks it’s negative since they’re tossing it around as a jeer. They don’t like Jews or people who attend therapy, I guess.)
