Pokemon Next Gen (Dancers): Blossom Shibu
Tumblr media
Blossom is the younger daughter of Kiawe and Mallow. As a child, Blossom loved to dance and she would dance alongside her brother, she would mostly focus on hula dancing while her brother would do fire dancing much like their father, despite that she still loves to learn about different dances from other regions and when she met Serenade, she was happy to both teach her how to do the hula and learn how to do her dance. Much like her mother, Blossom is energetic and loves to cook, she’s also upbeat and extremely friendly. She also has a strong love for Grass-type Pokemon and finds any and all Grass-types to be cute, Grass-types are also attracted and friendly toward her and will warm up to her as soon as they see her. Like her father, she’s calm and collected but when push comes to shove she will have a fiery temper and has no problem yelling or attacking anyone who makes her angry.
Her main colors are green and red. From green, she’s emotionally positive and is a peacemaker, often stepping in when her friends are arguing and she’ll keep them from fighting for too long, as green is represented by those who are good at listening and being helpful which fits as she’ll at times act as a mother to the others. Green represents her love for Grass-type Pokemon and how she has a lot of morals, she can be nurturing and compassionate, as well as adaptable and generous. She’s also known to be sympathetic and down-to-earth, as well as dependable and diplomatic. From red, Blossom is passionate and strong-willed but it also represents how she’s quick-tempered and at times ruthless if she gets pushed too far, it also gives her a confidence boost.
Her Pokemon:
Leafeon- Both Blossom and Apollo were given an Eevee when they were young, seeing how her Eevee was calm, didn’t like to fight, and enjoyed being surrounded by flowers she evolved her Eevee into a Leafeon. Leafeon is a calm and very easy going Pokemon, she mostly spends her days sunbathing and playing with flowers. She does, however, enjoy dancing with her trainer and the others. Despite being a pacifist, she does get a temper and will attack anyone who makes her angry or makes her trainer angry. While she is more reserved than her teammates, she still is polite and kind to others and she enjoys dancing with the other Eeveelutions. She wears a rose flower crown on her head.
Caught in a Friend Ball.
Ability is Chlorophyll.
Held item is a Grass Gem.
Moves are Round, Sunny Day, Leaf Blade, Solar Blade, Swords Dance, Shadow Ball, Grassy Glide, Synthesis, Seed Bomb and Work Up.
Bellossom- Blossom had caught Bellossom when she was a Gloom, Blossom wasn’t bothered by Gloom’s stench and instead approached her happily unlike most who would run away as soon as they see her. After that, she warmed up to Blossom and agreed to be her Pokemon, Gloom had quickly realized that if she wanted to join the dance group she had to evolve and she had chosen to evolve into Bellossom to match her trainer’s dancing style, she found a Sun Stone and happily evolved into Bellossom. Bellossom is an energetic Pokemon that loves to dance and will always dance when given the chance to, she’ll even dance as she’s battling to give herself an edge. She loves Blossom dearly for being one of the few people who didn’t dislike her when she was a Gloom or run away just from looking at her, as a result, she’s the most loyal to her trainer and will always dance alongside her and copy her dance style.
Caught in a Friend Ball.
Ability is Chlorophyll.
Moves are Petal Dance, Quiver Dance, Moonlight, Sweet Scent, Magical Leaf, Solar Beam, Grassy Terrain, Leaf Blade, Nature Power, and Leaf Storm.
Maractus- Blossom had caught Maractus when she heard Maractus creating an upbeat rhythm that sounded like maracas, thinking that with Maractus on her team her brother and herself can dance to her makeshift music, so she approached Maractus and caught her. Maractus is energetic and very cheerful, she also loves to play music using her body and she gets happy when someone hears her music or dances to it which is why she’s happy to be with Blossom. Maractus loves to help others and she greatly enjoys to dance with the other Pokemon and her trainer, Maractus is learning how to play her ‘maracas’ with different tempos and rhythms to better help the others.
Caught in an Ultra Ball.
Ability is Storm Drain.
Moves are Spiky Shield, Giga Drain, Solar Beam, Energy Ball, Leaf Storm, Round, Helping Hand, Weather Ball, Petal Dance, and Growth.

What made you become a vtuber? And what software do you use and what would you recommend? I’ve been looking into it a bit and I figured you’d be able to point me in a direction since I’m going into this completely blind.
Streaming seemed like a fun way to keep up with friends, have something to work on, and maybe earn some money. I didn't really expect it to become my main source of income, but I guess that's how the cookie crumbles.
At first I was just streaming with no representation of myself other than my voice, but I felt something was missing, so I started looking into options. Webcam was a no go since I have scopophobia that wasn't helped by being pre-HRT at the time, so I looked further and remembered a clip of who I later found out was Twitch user TheOneManny using a 3D avatar of a shibu inu to sing the song Thunderstruck while playing Counterstrike. This was years before streaming with an avatar became commonplace.
I tracked down the software and started using it with a default avatar that vaguely resembled me. This was about 6 months before "vtuber" became a commonly known word in the early months of the pandemic. As that blossomed I invested some of my Twitch money in getting a custom avatar made, and Demily became a thing.
I personally still use the same software, Facerig, mostly just because I know how to work it, but I'm sure there's better options available with some googling.

Snaky Nagano
Tumblr media
Wassup? This is Mari from Team Lari.
I’m feeling good. Want to know why? Because we are inching so close to the halfway mark on this prefecture expedition. I already feel like a pro whenever the topic of geography in Japan is brought up. Haha. Without further ado, may I introduce 22 of 47, the prefecture called Nagano.
Nagano is another landlocked prefecture. It also begins with “naga” which makes me recall a snake. Ahem, cue the snake picture.
Tumblr media
There. Snake’s out of the way. Anywhoozle, Nagano is smack dab in the middle of the main island, Honshu. And after 22 of these prefectures, I’ve learned that Japan has a heckka bunch of mountains. So, yes, Nagano is no different. Especially since it is in the middle. You know what you can do in those mountains? Ski. All of the skiing. In fact, there’s so much skiing there, that Nagano hosted the Winter Olympics in 1998. People got a fill of their skiing like no other. Let me stick to snowboarding, haha.
As for an interesting tidbit I found on Wikipedia (I am not ashamed to admit the source) is that Nagano is ranked the highest in lifespan longevity. Women live up to 87-years-old, and men live to 80-year-old. Why I needed to say this, I don’t know. It just had to be done.
Oh, right! Sites to see. Let’s see, for this post I’ll skip skiing areas. I’ll only mention them, but not go too much into detail. In fact, lemme do that now.
SKIING PLACES!
Tumblr media
*Nozawa Onsen (by the name of it, you can also catch a hot spring at the traditional structures)
*Norikura (all I had to read was that it was a mountain range, and boom, definitely a skiing area)
*Hakuba (one of Japan’s best skiing resorts. Nuff said)
*Kamikochi (Two Words: Japanese Alps. Equals skiiing. There.)
-Yamanouchi
Tumblr media
*Guys! This is where the cute white monkeys take hot baths. They are at the Monkey Park!
*Shibu Onsen is for the human variety. It’s on old-fashioned bathhouse town. Really beautiful!
*Yudanaka Onsen is rich with a verdant history. It gives me the chills!
*I should get my bath clothes ready for all of these onsens.
*(cough/And there’s also Shiga Kogen Resort where you can ski at where the 1998 Olympics were held/cough)
Here, I will stop. There are so many Onsens, I won’t be able to give them justice! So let me at least list them out with a tiny descriptor.
ONSENS!
Tumblr media
*Shirahone Onsen (a tiny hot spring town that has white, creamy waters)
*Bessho Onsen (an old fashioned hot spring town known for its many shrines and temples)
*Nozawa Onsen (listed above already, but heck, it’s an onsen, too!)
*Togura Kamiyamada (tourist friendly onsen town with an awesome historical fort)
-Nagano (the capitol!)
Tumblr media
*What? There’s a kids ninja village here? Could I please turn back time and become 12 so that I my also partake? Well, I guess since I’m a 27-year-old in a 16-year-old’s body, maybe I could get past that. Ninpo Museum, all about ninjas, are for the adults….I guess….sigh.
*There’s some leftover Olympic Facilities, and unlike most countries that neglect the area or are unable to have continuous upkeep, Nagano has kept the facilities spick and span.
*Zenkoji Temple. I hear it’s crazy popular. I wonder if it’s because it was funded in the 7th century? Or that the temple was the focal point of Nagano city’s growth unlike a castle town? Could it be it’s construction? The hearty appeal of statues and religious necessity? Well, looks like I will have to go there to find out. Haha. Anyone want to help me or come along?
-Matsumoto (not the lieutenant from Bleach!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
*Of course, heck yes an original castle! It’s called Matsumotoji. The castle was constructed from 1592 to 1614, and was built with protection in mind. I’m guessing that is why it still stands today, being dubbed one of the most beautiful still standing castles in Japan. It could also be the help of the cherry blossom trees, too. Hehe.
*Daio Wasabi Farm. Hmn, I wouldn’t mind seeing what wasabi is actually supposed to look like other than the glob of green we’re given with our sushi that’s barely close to being called wasabi save for the spicy punch it gives.
*Nakamachi, a former warehouse district. Still a pleasant place to take a walk and buy some souvenirs!
-Takato Castle Park
Tumblr media
*Takato Castle is actually just ruins today with a few stone structures here and there.
*People are drawn to the park because of the cherry blossom festival that is annually held.
*The cherry blossom viewing is considered one of the three top sites for the pink blooms.
Alright, I’m sorry for the long post. I got pretty into this one even though every site said that Nagano wasn’t very populous. Tricky. Very tricky.
Whelp, 22 of 47 completed. Until next time loves. Mwua!

Dalmaji-gil, the place where we stayed during our 5-day trip to Busan, is a place known for its cherry blossoms and, charming cafes and restaurants within vicinity. For someone like me who’s a caffeine addict, this is the place to be! Not to mention that these cafes are supposed to draw you in into their chic interiors.
On the very first day of our trip, when we decided we wanted to stroll the area all the way to the nearest Subway station, I have chanced to glimpse on some of them (see above for the pictures). The very first of which among them was this one with an adorable Shiba-inu silently bathing in the warmth of the peaking sun.
For three days, I have been looking forward to seeing this cute furball.
Day 1
Day 2
Day 3
On Day 4, Having come home before 3PM, I spared the rest of the day to exploring this ‘cafe’ as what I thought it was.
Hesitatingly,  as I was stading by the entrance, nervous that I did not bring enough money, ‘coz sure this looks quite an expensive place, I somehow had the idea that this is not a commercial cafe afterall.
From the foyer, it already smell of books, surely another of my favorite things in the world (including the addicting smell of new and old books).
I was very much hesitating to enter since I figured there is only one ‘customer’ inside, but I slightly  calmed to see that she too, was a foreigner.
I was quickly immersed in the place, it feels very familiar for some reason, familiarly comfortable. So I passively ran my hands at the closest collections of books in the shelf within reach, all  waiting to be read.
I somehow forgot the reason I came here in the first place. . . until it snapped me out of it.
He was locked out when I came, and he was howling, pleading to be let in perhaps.
It was a shame though that I wasnt able to pet the Shibu-inu, but it’s fine as I am, eventually, focused on seeing the rest of this ‘Library of Mystery Literature’.
The only staff present was,  the Librarian for the day, I assume, who was a very kind woman of around 30-40 years old. She was smiling the whole time since I entered. Though I know it was a sincere smile, I somehoe felt pressured, that may maybe this is a commercial cafe after all? Maybe I need to order something?
I can speak and understand limited Korean, so most of my conversations were also mostly based on context clues, but gladly I always end up getting the right message. While I was trying to figure out the menu, I noticed there was no price beside the drinks, as what usually is menus in comercail cafes look likebut when I asked about the prices of the drinks, she was saying ‘Free’, but she was also saying ‘4,000’ so I was confused.
I gestured and said ‘wait’ in Korean, and asked (through body language) if I can look around first, though I was just silently trying to figure out what she meant. Maybe she saw through me? ‘Coz she handed me a booklet with english translation. Though it was a nice gesture, I still insisted to look around. (By this time, I already deduced our converation. The 4000 was entrance fee, but the drinks are complimentary).
The books are mostly Korean, naturally, and are Suspense, Mystery and Thriller by genre, “That’s sweet! It’s just my genre!” I almost shouted in glee when I finally figured. But as I said, they were in Korean.
Luckily, there were English collections too. Most of them have stood the test of their times, and the smell of vintage books are just as addicting as new ones!
After settling with a book that caught my interest, I silently sat by one table and immersed myself in the book . . . but oh! yeah right, I have to pay. I chose a complimentary Orange juice, ironically since I already had coffee at home prior to coming here.
A Chapter later, my interest wa sgain divided to the book at hand and the interior of the place.
Noticing that I was distracted and fidgeting with my Camera, the polite Librarian approached me and told me that there are more books upstairs. “Upstairs?! Woah!” I thought with excitement,  not intending to keep it in anyways, so perhaps, after seeing that my eyes went wide with excitement, she invited me to come over with her, “OH Sure! With mich pleasure!”
The Library is composed of five-storeys of around forty seven thousand (47,000) collection of books in total, mostly of which are mystery books, obviously (17,000). Foreign books are around 6,100 in count and counting. The three storeys are open to the public.
“The library is dedicated to the improvement and pubic awareness of the mystery literature, this is the first of its kind in the world. The library maintains not only its majoring mystery book collections, but also other popular books, magazines and newspapers including Korean bestsellers, foriegn books and encyclopedias”
Visit their website
When I was taking a picture of the view (sea), the Librarian entered in a conversation with me (though in Korean), she was saying about how the view was better before the buildings upfront slowly blocked the panoramic view of the sea.
  Some more facts:
Established on 28 Mar 1992
Registered to the City of Busan on 4 July 1992 as the first specialised library in Korea.
It’s overviewing the sea!
They also do have books on Art, Architecture and Travel (though usually closed to the public – 5th Floor)
They have programs encouraging its guest (and members) to write Mystery novels
Winter Mystery Travel : every Januaries
Creative Classes: for people who want to be writers in the future; Writing Competition (Eveyr Thursdays 3:00PM)
Reading Classes: every 1st, 3rd Wednesdays at 7:00PM. Open to everyone.
If you are into Mystery literature (as I am), I suggest you take your time to visit this library when you go to Busan. I intend to learn the Korean Language especially after coming here. If you do not really have interest in the Korean language, no worries, they also have English books you would probably dont mind reading. Besides, coming here is a good feeling.
A Look at Busan’s ‘The Library of Mystery Literature’ Dalmaji-gil, the place where we stayed during our 5-day trip to Busan, is a place known for its cherry blossoms and, charming cafes and restaurants within vicinity.

Pokemon Next Gen (Dancers): Apollo Shibu
Tumblr media
Apollo is the older son of Kiawe and Mallow. When he was a child, Apollo always admired his father’s fire dancing and when he was old enough Kiawe taught him how to do the fire dances. Apollo enjoyed dancing alongside his sister, fire dancing as she hula danced by his side. Like his sister, he loved to learn about different dances from different regions and he was ecstatic to meet Serenade and was even more ecstatic to dance with her and learn about dances from other regions. Apollo takes more after his father in personality, being calm and collected but also having his fiery passion for dancing, he’s also hot-blooded especially when it comes to battling or if someone insults him or his culture, however, he’s also easy to move to tears, mostly when he sees a dance from another region. Like Kiawe, he loves Fire-type Pokemon and gets excited when he sees one, similar to his sister, Fire-type Pokemon warm up to him as soon as they see him. Like his mother, Apollo is friendly, he also has a love for baking which goes hand and hand with his sister’s cooking skills, however, he has a unique taste and will sometimes come up with bizarre desserts but they taste really good despite how it may look.
His main colors are red and blue. From red, he’s passionate and is good at drawing attention to himself. Of course, red also represents how he has a temper and how he’s aggressive, it also represents how he’s quick to take action in case something happens. He’s also determined and confident in his skill as a trainer and a dancer, as well as courageous as he’ll protect his friends and sister at the sight of them in danger. From blue, he’s calm and supportive, it helps him give himself and the other's confidence. He’s responsible, being one of the oldest in the group. He’s also devoted to his family and his friends, he’s also honest and he has some authority and wisdom when it comes to certain topics.
His Pokemon:
Flareon- Both Apollo and Blossom were given an Eevee when they were young, seeing how his Eevee was hot-tempered and fired up he evolved his Eevee into a Flareon. Flareon is a Pokemon that has a lot of spirit and a love for battle, he’s been training even when he was still an Eevee. Flareon also has an enjoyment for dancing much like the other Eeveelutions and he’ll happily dance along with them and his trainer. Flareon is excitable as well as protective, he’ll always do his best to protect the others as well as help them train in case he’s knocked out of a battle. There will also be times when he’s calm and relaxed, but that’s mostly when he burned through his energy. He wears an orange collar around his neck.
Caught in a Pokeball.
Ability is Guts.
Held Item is a Fire Gem.
Moves are Round, Fire Fang, Flare Blitz, Mystical Fire, Iron Tail, Shadow Ball, Burning Jealousy, Flame Charge, Focus Energy, and Body Slam.
Alolan Marowak- Apollo was given one of the Alolan Marowak his father would use for his trials, Kiawe had noticed that one Marowak preferred to dance more than battle so he gave him to his son for him to use for his fire dances. Marowak is very passionate about dancing and is always ready and willing to teach others how to dance like him, he greatly admires the Eeveelutions and how well they dance with each other. Despite not having an interest in battling other Pokemon, he’s still very strong and mostly will battle if someone is threatening his trainer or if someone is causing trouble. Marowak is also friendly around those he really likes.
Caught in an Ultra Ball.
Ability is Cursed Body.
Held Item is a Thick Club.
Moves are Shadow Bone, Flame Wheel, Stomping Tantrum, Fire Punch, Brick Break, Poltergeist, Thunder Punch, Flare Blitz, Fire Spin, and Giga Impact.
Fletchinder- Apollo caught Fletchinder after seeing him move gracefully in the air and after a long battle, he was able to successfully catch him. Fletchinder was pretty aggressive and sometimes territorial, after getting caught he had calmed down from his territorial behavior but he’s still aggressive and is the first to get ready for a battle. He does enjoy flying gracefully in the air as well as dancing or letting it rain embers from the sky as the others are dancing, so long as none of the embers actually touch someone then everyone is fine with what he does.
Caught in a Pokeball.
Ability is Flame Body.
Moves are Flame Charge, Aerial Ace, Steel Wing, Fly, Acrobatics, Work Up, Flamethrower, Quick Attack, Heat Wave, and Double Team.
