Hi Lost! I saw lots of gorgeous Victorian maid Levi fanart and fanfics. I keep wondering where the idea came from. Is this something the fandom came up with? What are your thoughts on this?

Part of the reason I love it is because he's taking care of little Erwin! Little Win deserves to be spoiled 🥺

But other than that, I'm not a fan of maid stories...maybe I don't see the appeal yet. Levi in a maid dress is eye candy tho.

The killer maid is a hugely popular trope in anime and manga, it's definitely not just an Eruri thing. I honestly couldn't tell you where it originated from, it goes waaaay back.

My all time favourite killer maid, and problematic wife, is Roberta aka Rosarita Cisneros aka The Bloodhound of Florencia 🖤 from the 2006 anime Black Lagoon.

Roberta is an ex-FARC rebel, who works as the maid of the Venezuelan Lovelace family, and has a very intense relationship with her "young master" Garcia. Roberta is an absolute icon and a lot of the maid Levi / young master Erwin art I see is directly riffing off Roberta and Garcia.

I haven't read a great deal of maid / master fic but one I have enjoyed which features much older master Erwin and maid Levi is Sanguinarium by @rooksacrifice.

that one scene in black lagoon where rock's confronting revy & he's goading her to keep chasing her tail & keep repeating the cycle & what makes her my favorite character if not one of my favorite female anime characters of all time & not just for her skill in guns or her swearing but she she can be shot, stabbed, abused by her father & the police, anything and she takes it all like a warrior, but treat her like a genuine person & she freaks the fuck out bc that scares her more than any knife or bullet or explosive ever could bc she doesn't know what to do or how to react to any of that & that fucking terrifies her & for the first time in her life she could feel hope when rock is there with her & that both infuriates her & terrifies her bc as lana del rey once said "hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have" bc if she could feel hope, if she could step into the light, then she'd have to face everything in her life, the people she's killed, the pain she's endured & her own suffering & that is the most frightening thing she can ever imagine, hell, she can go toe to toe w/ the bloodhound of fuckin florencia aka the fuckin terminator but treat her like a genuine human being with feelings & she fucking loses it bc revy looking like she's about to burst into tears just. SCREAMS "THAT'S ALL I KNOW HOW TO DO" ..... yeah.

Kuro shivered at the teeny murder mitten's attention, looking back to Charlie and Vaggie with a sheepish grin.

"Okay, I'm effectively immortal thanks to the little curse Michael put on me... But that little fucker scares the crap out of me." Kuro sighed softly, shaking his head as he groaned. The man standing in the lobby seemed... familiar to the princess of Hell. Like someone she'd met before... a long... long time ago. He stood approximately six feet four inches tall, and even under his black leather trench coat it was clear he had the physique of a man who could punch just about anyone into unconsciousness or death. His black hair was cut short, crimson eyes taking in the decorations around him.

"I like what you've done with the place... It's rare I get to venture into Hell these days... Not much to hunt on the surface..." Kuro spoke, smiling as he finally eyed Charlie. His black feathered wings spread wide for a second, almost as if stretching before he opened his arms in anticipation. "Hey pumpkin. Long time no see..."

"UNCLE KURO!!!!!" Charlie screamed in joy as she lept into his arms. The six foot tall princess of hell tackling him with so much force, her arms wrapping around his waist as she did so, that she nearly knocked him over

She had not seen this man in nearly one hundred and fifty years. A fallen angel a lot like her father, but the joy she felt at his arrival made her heart pounding
