glee had a lot of stupid contradictory/double-standard messaging about sex but i DO like that Blaine casually mentioned masturbation as among their options without it being played off as either a humiliating or desperate thing to do. also that it means he canonically jerks it and doesn't mind that kurt knows

VI THE LOVERS
The Lovers card represents the close relationships in your life. If it comes up in your Tarot reading, your love life is in need of extra attention. However, this is just as much a card about your values and decisions. You may find The Lovers come up when you are at a crossroads. Consider all the possible consequences of your choices.
Forneus had been chosen more out of sheer chance than anything else, arriving at the lands of the dead while Baines consulted his god about a matter he didn't know how to proceed.
Forneus is a large black maine coon, much of her volume coming from her fluffy fur, though underneath it all, she would still be considered plus size even at this time, when she was more active. Being the closest in species to The One Who Waits, she has gotten a third eye on her forehead, which is kept closed at almost all times, hidden by her thick fur, unless she is in a really foul mood or really focused.
Forneus wasn't actually supposed to be a vessel. In fact, she wasn't even part of the cult of Death when her village got raided by the Bishops' forces for suspicion of dissention. They were all killed in the ensuing massacre. The thing is, she was indeed worshiping The One Who Waits, brought by Blaines' last visit to the village, where she had talked with her recently deceased mother.
Blaines was asking He of Death about how would be better to bridge the connection to other villages when she was brought to be judged by the god of Death himself, being one of his followers. The shock brough both of their attentions to her, which had overheard a bit of their conundrum and claimed to have an idea, though she was quickly being numbed by the land of the dead. Blaines placed the crown onto her head, as he wasn't quite dead anymore and, as such, was immune to the numbness, giving her time to explain to them how to create such connections to less than welcoming communities. It impressed them both on her skill with people, so they decided that, maybe, it was time to bring a new vessel in. And as such, she became the sixth vessel of the Red Crown.
Forneus was careful on her approach. She wasn't exactly blessed by luck, so she decided to minimize the chances she took whenever possible, preferring to rely on skill or physical might when possible. That's not to say she isn't smart, on the contrary. She is a very capable speaker and a great strategist, singling out Heket's forces in an attempt to disrupt the Old Faith's food supplies, which proved rather successful in both limiting their spread and making fringe villages more receptive to her words. Though never relying on luck, an external factor really helped on her earlier tenure as a vessel: a previously unknown crown bearer came into the lands of the Old Faith roughly at the same time, disrupting things further on the northern regions of the continent. Knowing that this bearer was hostile to the other crown bearers made her decide it would be best to use them as a distraction to further her plans than to risk an alliance, buying about half a decade of time for her to get onto her feet when it came to cult leading.
Her way with people allowed her to pick on enough clues of a mentally declining god of Death to figure how much he cared for his vessels, despite his cold front. She said nothing, deciding it best to not question someone that acts less and less rational as time passes. She knows he needs company badly, but she has duties to attend among the living.
She had a few encounters with Heket herself during that time, fighting the Bishop of Famine in those occasions as she bought time for her raiding parties or missionary groups to disperse before she disengaged. The fact that she was able to survive alone impressed the Bishop, and in time, proving to be a match to her made She of Famine look forward to meeting the cat more and more. Forneus returned the interest in kind, sometimes running solo just to see if she could find the frog for another fight, knowing that her death would only mean that she would return to the cult with a migraine at most.
In total, Forneu has been in control of the cult of Death for around 120 years before she met with another cat follower that she fell in love with. Finding herself pregnant, she asked to be summoned by her god so she could ask to be released from his service, so she could be a mother herself. Despite knowing how selfish that is, she promises that, if he is willing, she will remain in the land of the dead as his caretaker once her children grow up and strike their own lives. All he needs to do is wait a decade and a half more and he will not be alone anymore. Being released from her duties, having the crown returned to The One Who Waits and the cult being in a healthy enough state to not need constant supervision from a crown bearer, Forneus and her then husband left the cult life behind in hopes of growing a family safely. Alas, it was not to be, for her husband fell to a deadly illness one day when foraging for food a few days after, forcing the two to seek refuge in one of the more sympathetic villages in darkwood, but he did not survive.
To makes matters worse, days after she had given birth with the help of the village's midwife, she was approached by Shamura while she still recovered. She was ready to fight him for the safety of the village, to the death if needed, but they brought a proprosition she could not refuse. Give her kits to be sent to the chained god, and she was promised to be allowed to see them again when, inevitably, he managed to escape his bindings. She accepted it with the heaviest of hearts, knowing that her god needed them more than she did, but she made sure to leave it clear to them of Might one thing: kill or sacrifice her children and she will spare no efforts to bring him down. With that understanding, they left her to recover and grieve her biggest loss. Once she learned what happened, Heket forbade any of the other Bishops to keep searching for her and declared the cat off limits to anyone on the Old Faith.
For the following seven years, there was no vessel to lead the cult.
Forneus' favored weapon was a hammer, a powerful weapon that requires careful planning to use, but devastating when connecting. Her fleece took the form of a half shoulder cape, draped over her left arm to obscure it's movements when she wasn't swinging her weapon with both hands, used over her leather vest and pants, both intended to keep he fur close to her body as she moved, though accentuating her normally obfuscated figure as a byproduct.
Forneus is one of the 3 vessels that figured out Narinder's true nature.

An older article but worth sharing in light of an overrated white man who thinks his opinion means something because he's good at sports
By Kate Stringer March 25, 2018
March is National Women’s History Month. In recognition, The 74 is sharing stories of remarkable women who transformed U.S. education.
A self-described young, stuttering child, Joe Biden credits a group of women for building his confidence and giving him 12 years of education that would lead him to become vice president of the United States. “You have no idea of the impact that you have on others,” Biden told a group of Catholic nuns on a social justice tour of the United States in 2014.
Biden is just one of millions of Americans, many of them underprivileged, educated in Catholic schools, a system that would have been impossible if not for the generations of dedicated religious female educators. Working for very low wages, these women changed lives, moving large immigrant communities into the middle class and — though too often given short shrift by the male-dominated Catholic Church — opened doors to higher education for women.
“Teaching is a critical part of the sisters’ mission of education because we believe, in short, that education can save the world,” said Sister Teresa Maya, president of the Leadership Conference of Women Religious. “It empowers people, it broadens horizons, it deepens values, it engages conversation between faith and culture.”
Catholic schooling in the U.S. dates back as far as the early 1600s, as priests and nuns arrived in the colonies and established schools, orphanages, and hospitals. John Carroll — elected the first U.S. bishop in 1789 — pushed for religious schools to educate American Catholic children living in a predominantly Protestant country. As priests and brothers began creating schools for boys, it was left to the nuns to teach girls.
Elizabeth Ann Seton, recognized in the Catholic Church as the first native-born U.S. saint, started the Sisters of Charity, an order that opened separate parochial schools for families of poor and wealthy girls, in the early 1800s. Some consider these the first Catholic parochial schools in the U.S.
By the middle of the century, Catholics from Ireland, Italy, and Poland began immigrating to the United States and swelling the ranks of local churches, and in the early 1900s, bishops called for every parish to educate its children — a response to widespread anti-Catholic sentiment, a need to help Americanize the new arrivals, and a desire for an alternative to public schools where children prayed the Protestant version of the Lord’s Prayer and read the King James version of the Bible.
Most of this work was carried out by the nuns, who took vows of poverty and could teach children for very low wages.
“Without the nuns, you could not have had the parochial school system that this country has had,” said Maggie McGuinness, professor of religion at La Salle University.
Catholic schools were also invaluable in alleviating overcrowded public schools as populations surged in major cities, and giving immigrants a boost up the economic ladder, said Ann Marie Ryan, associate professor of education at Loyola University Chicago.
“(The nuns) moved entire groups of people into the middle class, which is a substantial feat in and of itself,” she said.
Still, anti-Catholic sentiment proved pervasive. As Catholic groups tried to obtain public funding for their schools in the late 1800s, states began passing Blaine amendments, which restricted state legislatures from using funds for religious schools. Today, 37 states have these laws.
Oregon even instituted a law, backed by the Ku Klux Klan, that prohibited students from attending Catholic school. The U.S. Supreme Court struck this down in Pierce vs. The Society of Sisters in 1925.
As the sisters fought for their students’ rights to be educated in Catholic schools, they also found themselves fighting against the church patriarchy for their own pursuit of higher education. As Ryan wrote, “The Catholic Church’s hierarchy in the USA was worried about the movement toward increased independence for women in this era.” To fill a need for higher education among Catholic-educated girls, more nuns began seeking Ph.D.s so they could lead Catholic colleges for women. But this pursuit of independence didn’t sit well with their governing bishops, and they pushed back.
For example, in the 1930s and ’40s, the archdiocesan board of Chicago mandated that nuns could not travel outside a convent or school without being accompanied by another woman, and even went so far as to tell the president of a neighboring college that nuns should not show up to their classes without a female companion. They were also not to go outside after sunset.
Mission statements of all-girls Catholic schools reflected the sisters’ challenge of balancing what the church considered the natural role of women with many young women’s desires for independence, Ryan wrote. When the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary established Mundelein College in 1930 in Chicago, they crafted goals that showed these dual perspectives: “(Mundelein education is) practical, preparing the student for successful achievement in the economic world,” but also “conservative, holding fast to the time-honored traditions that go to the fashioning of charming and gracious womanhood.”
“(The nuns) highlighted and equally lauded their graduates’ choices to marry, seek employment, enter a religious community, or attend college,” Ryan wrote.
In her research, Ryan found Catholic high school yearbooks that revealed what this opportunity meant to young women. At Chicago’s Catholic Mercy High School in 1927, the students published quotes from Tennyson’s poem The Princess: “Here might we learn whatever men are taught…knowledge is now no more a fountain sealed.” Sixty percent of Mercy’s graduates around this time attended college (nationally, female enrollment in higher education was 44 percent).
At a time when women were barred from many universities, nuns became their advocates. Catholic sisters established 150 religious colleges for women in the United States, starting in the late 1800s. Before coeducation of men and women became the norm, more women were earning degrees from Catholic colleges than those run by other religious groups, according to The Boston Globe. And the nuns’ own pursuit of higher education broke glass ceilings: The first woman to obtain a Ph.D. in computer science was a nun: Sister Mary Kenneth Keller, in 1965.
“They were role models,” McGuinness said. “If you went to Trinity University in D.C. in 1897 and had teachers who had doctorates, maybe you think, ‘I could do that, too.’”
Maya certainly experienced that when an older nun, Sister Rosa Maria Icaza, told her what she had to go through to earn her doctorate from Catholic University. Because enrollment was limited to men, the nun had to sit outside the classroom, near the door, rather than inside with her male classmates. “I thought, ‘Thanks to a woman like this, I could get a Ph.D.,’” Maya said.
Today, however, the number of religious leaders in the Catholic Church is declining, including nuns. From 1965 to 2017, the number of sisters decreased from 179,000 to 45,000, according to the Center for Applied Research in the Apostolate. And even in the face of this decline, the women who join the religious life are still finding themselves under fire from within their own church. As recently as 2012, American nuns were accused by the Vatican for being radical feminists.
The loss of nuns as a teaching force is one reason running Catholic schools is more financially challenging than ever before, Maya said. Catholic school enrollment peaked in the 1960s and has dropped significantly since then. In 1965, about 5 million children attended Catholic elementary and secondary schools. In 2017, enrollment was just under 2 million. The number of Catholic schools was cut in half, from 11,000 to 6,000, during that same time period.
Catholic schools today have been experimenting with different business models to survive, from the Cristo Rey schools that utilize student work study to help pay for tuition to Philadelphia Catholic schools that have been using tax-credit scholarships and voucher programs to pay tuition for poor families.
And their students no longer come primarily from their local church — many see Catholic schools as a better alternative to poor-performing urban schools. “In many major cities, Catholic schools are a parent’s best hope for both Catholic and non-Catholic kids,” McGuinness said.
Maya said she is proud of the work Catholic schools are continuing to do to reach the children who need it most.
“The sisters were always teaching the populations in the margins,” Maya said. Without these women, “I don’t think the U.S. Catholic education system would exist the way we know it.”

23 Republican Senators & 124 Congressmen signed an amicus brief to the Supreme Court asking for a 50 state ban on mifepristone, a drug safer than tylenol that is standard treatment for abortion & miscarriages, "due to safety concerns". The brief DARES to argue that banning the life saving drug would save women from 'reproductive control'. (x) These 147 people would rather have women die of sepsis than let women control their own bodies. If your representatives are on this list, call them and tell their office you will be voting against them in the next election because they asked SCOTUS to throw the US medical drug system into chaos at the cost of American lives.

Maxwell Jacob Friedman (c) vs Dyln Blaine- MPW World Championship
Despite the fact that Dyln Blaine has received an MPW World Championship match before, this one somehow just feels a little bit bigger. Maybe it’s the crowd behind him this time, the fact that’s he’s out here alone with his best friend, Eric Taylor, as opposed to having an army behind him like last time, or maybe it’s the fact that he’s standing across the ring from maybe the biggest bastard in MPW history, the MPW World Champion, MJF. Either way, Dyln knows what it’s like to come so close and just come up short in this situation. He’s revealed in interviews that his loss in this same situation against Joshua Bishop still haunts him.
This is a hungrier, more experienced, more polished Dyln Blaine this time. But tonight, he has to dance with the devil himself, and figure out a way to come out the other side victorious. The odds are against him, but frankly, the odds were against Dyln Blaine even still being employed at MPW frankly. Second chances don’t come often in this business. Dyln knows it. Tonight, Dyln tries to make history.
Blaine and MJF circled each other, before locking up, the two jockeying for position, MJF quickly grabbing an advantage being the bigger and stronger man, but Dyln is quick to twist out of the wrist lock he was trapped in, trying to sweep MJF’s leg, but Max jumps over it, and takes down Dyln with a headlock takedown, which Dyln quickly reverses with a headscissors, Max escaping by getting back up to his feet. MJF was quick to get the advantage back, taking control of Blaine’s arm, but Blaine quickly dropped down and rolled to escape, using his legs to trap one of MJF’s legs, and trying to take him down, but MJF twisted and pulled his leg free, dropping down and trying to trap Blaine into a headlock, but Blaine slid out of it, trapping MJF in a headscissors. MJF rolled to get his feet under him, and pushed himself up into a headstand. Blaine tried to push MJF away and back prone, but MJF instead kicks back, freeing himself from the hold and trapping Blaine into a headlock!
MJF transitioned from the headlock to pinning Blaine’s hands down to the mat, the referee dropping to count.
1.. Kickout!
Blaine managed to lift one of his arms off the mat, breaking the pin. MJF managed to shove it back down.
1… Kickout!
Blaine managed to lift his other arm off the mat, but MJF shoved that one right back down as well.
1… Kickout!
This time Blaine bridged up onto his head! MJF adjusted himself and tried to jump up onto Blaine to force him back down, but Blaine held the bridge with MJF ontop of him! MJF jumped off and pulled Blaine up with him, trying to catch him, but Blaine went up and over and rolled through into a sunset flip, but pushed MJF through on the pin attempt and quickly stood up, trapping MJF’s arms, already looking for a Tiger Driver, but MJF spun out of the double underhook, and tried to catch Blaine with a side kick, which Blaine ducked, and ran off the ropes, on the rebound coming back at MJF, catching and tossing him with a huricanrana! Dyln rolled back to his feet, and MJF did the same, MJF charging the younger man and attempting a clothesline, but Dyln caught the arm and tossed MJF with an arm drag. MJF rolled and came to a stop in the corner, Blaine charged in and caught MJF with a boot, before grabbing MJF, planting him into the mat with a Northern Lights Suplex, before flipping back, jumping up, and driving both feet into MJF’s chest with a brutal double stomp! MJF clutched at his chest, in a great deal of pain, as Blaine dropped down to make the cover!
1...2.. Kickout!
MJF managed to kick out, but Blaine quickly got back to his feet, grabbing MJF and trying to flip him into a Boston Crab, but MJF managed to kick Blaine off, and trap one of his legs with his own, tripping Blaine down to the mat, before trying to get control of Blaine’s arm, attempting to lock in a Fujiwara Armbar, a hold MJF had used to put away many opponents in the past, calling it the “Salt of the Earth”, but Blaine managed to roll out of it, catching MJF with a boot to get him off. MJF got up to his feet, still holding his face from that kick, so that he didn’t see the superkick from Blaine coming! The kick landed flush, and knocked MJF right through the ropes and to the floor! MJF landed on his feet and tried to shake off the cobwebs and reset his jaw, but he turned right around into a Tope Con Hilo from Blaine, crashing down onto the World Champion!
Dyln grabs MJF and throws him back into the ring, before sliding into the ring after him. MJF takes a swing as Dyln slides in after him, but Dyln ducks and hits the ropes, MJF turns around and gets nailed right in the face with a big boot, before grabbing MJF, and dropping him with a big back suplex! MJF gets dropped, and Dyln hooks the leg!
1….2.. Kickout!
Dyln comes close, but no cigar this time, has to keep pushing the advantage. Dyln gets back to his feet, and brushes his hair out of his face, before going to grab MJF again. MJF thinks quick, though, and reaches up, poking Dyln Blaine right in the eye! Dyln clutches at his face, blinded, and MJF gets back to his feet, grabbing Dyln’s arm, and twisting it, before charing across the ring, throwing Dyln into the turnbuckles shoulder first! MJF may have just disclosed Dyln Blaine’s shoulder, holy shit! MJF right into the cover, pinning down the bad arm!
1…2.. kickout!
Dyln kicks out, but had to torque the shoulder to do so. MJF pulls himself up to a knee, before getting up and simply just kicking Dyln Blaine in the face!
You may have forgotten this, but Dyln Blaine does own a pinfall victory over MJF in an MPW ring. At the time, it was one of the biggest upsets in MPW history- tonight might not be the same level of magnitude in terms of skill gap between the two men, but tonight’s upset would arguably mean so much more. MJF picks Blaine back up and knees him right in the gut. Blaine hunched over in pain, and MJF grabbed him around the head, repositioned the two of them, before trapping Dyln’s arm behind his back, and throwing Dyln’s shoulder into the turnbuckles again! Dyln let out a cry of pain as he walked away holding his shoulder, as MJF took a moment to mock our fans, thrusting his crotch at a group of fans booing him in the front row. MJF measured Blaine and waited for him to turn around, before charging and taking out Blaine with a clothesline! MJF quickly got back to his feet, grabbed Blaine, picking him back up before hitting the ropes, charging Blaine again, and blasting Dyln with a running knee to the side of the head! MJF may have just knocked out the challenger! Max drops down for the cover!
1….2… Kickout!
MJF pulled himself up to a knee, before standing up and grabbing Blaine by his hair. MJF caught Blaine with a knife edge chop to the chest, before dropping him down to a seated position with a snapmare, and running off the ropes, catching Blaine with a sharp penalty kick to the back, before dropping down and trapping Blaine in a chin lock. MJF continued to drive his knee right into Dyln Blaine’s spine, using it as a focal point to apply pressure. Blaine first tried to reach for the ropes, but when he realized he wasn’t going anywhere, he began to pick at MJF’s fingers, eventually managing to pry MJF off of him, before catching MJF with a back elbow, staggering him, before getting up, running off the ropes, and trying for a Frankensteiner, which MJF caught and turned into a powerbomb! MJF planted Blaine down to the mat, before grabbing control of the legs, and twisting them together, turning Blaine over and locking in a brutal and deep looking Cloverleaf! Blaine cried out in pain, and tried desperately to reach out for the ropes! MJF sat all the way down, but kept an eye on Blaine, making sure he wasn’t drawing too close to the ropes. While Blaine wasn’t going anywhere, MJF did notice what he thought to be an opening. MJF released the hold and quickly tried to transition into a Salt of the Earth, but Blaine was too quick, and quickly rolled MJF over onto his shoulders!
1..2… Kickout!
MJF managed to escape, and was quickly back up to his feet, only to be blasted by a superkick from Blaine! MJF’s head snapped back from the impact, and Blaine quickly tried to grab MJF, and set him up for another big back suplex, but MJF turns it around on Blaine, instead sending Blaine overhead. Blaine looks to roll and land on his feet, but MJF seemed to have it scouted, catching Blaine into a stunner on the way down! Wow! Well scouted by the MPW World Champ!
MJF pulls himself up to a knee, and brushes his shoulder off, and smirks, looking directly into the camera. “Damn, I’m good!”
MJF gets back up and raises his arms out to his sides, soaking in the boos from our MPW fans, before grabbing Dyln Blaine up once again, and throwing him through the ropes, MJF looking to set up for the Heatseeker, looking to maybe put Dyln Blaine away here tonight. MJF gets Blaine in position, and goes for the Heatseeker, only for Dyln Blaine to shove him off! MJF charges Blaine again, but Blaine pops him with a big forearm, before leaping up onto the ropes, looking for something high flying, but whatever he was going for, MJF catches him and plants him with a cutter! Big reversal from MJF, and that might be it, MJF may have caught him! Cover!
1….2… Kickout!
Dyln Blaine survives again! MJF sits up, though, and just chuckles to himself, clearly not taking Dyln Blaine super seriously at this moment. Whether that’s a mistake or not remains to be seen, but Dyln has an uphill fight if he wants to get back into this match. MJF picks Dyln back up, and pops him with a big forearm, sending Dyln stumbling back into the corner. Dyln looks like he might be on dream street here, and if it wasn’t for the corner, Dyln might be flat on his face right now. MJF charges in, but Dyln manages to jump up and catch him with a knee! MJF stumbles back, and Dyln slips onto the apron, and sets his feet, before jumping, springing off the ropes and catching MJF with a flying forearm! MJF gets knocked down, and Dyln rolls back to his feet, and through the ropes again, once again landing on the apron, and setting his feet once again. Dyln springs off the ropes once again, hitting a 450 in mid air, and crashing down on MJF in the middle of the ring! That might be it, MJF may have just been felled! Dyln into the cover, to win the MPW World Title!
1…..2…. Kickout!
MJF survives! MJF goes to roll out off the ring, and Dyln, looking to push his advantage, hits the ropes and breaks into a back handspring, before launching himself over the top rope, and taking out MJF with a handspring plancha! Down goes the champ again, Dyln Blaine is on a roll! Dyln grabs MJF and throws him back into the ring, looking to continue the roll he was on currently. Dyln jumps up onto the apron, and measures MJF, before taking to the sky again, but this time, MJF catches Dyln in mid air! MJF readjusts Dyln, before dropping Dyln’s shoulder right down on his knee, MJF once again targeting the shoulder of Dyln Blaine, this time with a big shoulderbreaker! Dyln cries out in agony, clutching the shoulder again, and this time, going for the kill, MJF goes right into the Salt of the Earth, trying to use the arm bar to tear Dyln Blaine’s shoulder out of socket! Dyln tries to reach out for the ropes, trying to drag himself closer and force a break, but MJF continues to wrench down on the arm!
Dyln cries out in agony, and looks like he might tap out here, when suddenly, Dyln seems to find a second wind. Dyln manages to get a knee under himself, alleviating some of the pressure from MJF, and using that to flip himself over onto his back, before using his legs to flip MJF over onto his shoulders, trapping him into a pin!
1….2… Kickout!
MJF out at two, and quickly back up to his feet, catching Dyln with a back elbow! Dyln stumbles away, but charges back at MJF, MJF dodging and sending Dyln back into the ropes, Dyln managing to use the ropes, almost doing a Tiger Feint Kick to reverse his momentum, before twisting as he charges back at MJF, dropping him with a Cyclone Kick! MJF down, Dyln into the cover once more!
1….2… Kickout!
MJF kicks out, but Blaine was mounting more and more of an offensive now! Dyln sits up onto his knees, and, in a moment maybe Dyln Blaine wasn’t expecting, hears the crowd start cheering and clapping for him, rooting him on to finish this once and for all. Dyln nods along, and gets back to his feet, pulling MJF up to his, before Dyln measures, looking to set up for a Rocket Strap, but as Dyln starts to charge for the ropes, MJF grabs a handful of hair, and pulls Dyln backward, slamming Dyln right down on the back of his head! Dyln clutches his neck, and MJF, quickly grabs his leg, rolling Dyln back up to his feet, looking for a rolling elbow, but Dyln ducks it and pops Max with a superkick! Dyln then turns to hit the ropes, Max hunching over on the rebound, looking for a back body drop, but Dyln leaps over Max to evade it, jumping onto Max’s shoulders as Max gets back up, and sending MJF backward, spiking him on his head with a BIG Poison Rana!
MJF’s body rolls with the momentum, and Max is right back on his feet, as Dyln charges the ropes again, looking for the Rocket Strap, but Max catches Dyln and shoves him off to block it! Dyln lands on his feet and turns around, just in time to see Max charging in with a lariat, having just enough time to catch Max and plant him with a Spanish Fly! Blaine lands on top, right into a cover, to win the World Title!
1….2… Kickout!
Max escapes again! Raleigh, North Carolina was on it’s feet though, trying to will Dyln to fight on, to find the right combination of moves to put MJF down for good tonight! Dyln brushes his hair out of his eyes, and, in an effort to do something to put this one away, Blaine starts climbing up to the top rope! Dyln gets up there and tries to set his feet, but ends up taking too long, MJF back to his feet and gives the rope a hard tug, causing Dyln to lose his footing and crotch himself on the top rope! Dyln cries out in agony, and MJF is quick to climb up the ropes after him, hook Blaine, as the two men fall off the top rope together, MJF planting Blaine with a HUGE Superplex, off the top rope! Max actually rolls through, maintaining his grip on Blaine, lifting Blaine back up, looking for a brainbuster this time, but Blaine manages to slip out the back and land on his feet! Blaine shoves MJF forward, before catching MJF right in the back of the head with a Superkick, before Blaine lifts MJF up onto his shoulders, and throws MJF forward, his knee connecting right with MJF’s jaw, Party’s Over! Max drops down to a knee, shaken by that move, as Dyln gets back up to his feet, adrenaline surging through his body, as he charges the ropes, leaps off, and catches Max with a ROCKET STRAP! MJF head first into the mat, Max might be done for here! Middle of the ring, nothing to save him, Blaine covers!
1…..2….. KICKOUT!
MJF kicks out of the Rocket Strap to save his title! Holy shit!
Even Blaine is in utter disbelief, as are these fans, as the entire building was collectively sure of the end of the match. Even if you hate MJF, which surely, all of us do, you have to recognize he is a tremendously resilient competitor. There’s times it feels like it would require a nuclear bomb to stop Max from getting his shoulder up before three. Dyln doesn’t have one of those tonight, though, so he’s gotta figure something else out.
Dyln seems to have figured out what that is, perching himself in the corner, and taking a deep breath, like he’s about to go for something even more high risk. Dyln then vaults all the way up to the top rope, looking for a super version of the Rocket Strap, but before Dyln can jump backward, MJF charges forward and cuts Dyln’s legs out from under him! Dyln takes a hard fall, and falls all the way backward to the mat, landing on his head! MJF is quick to scoop Dyln up, and, quickly adjusting him, plants Dyln in the middle of the ring with a Tombstone Piledriver! The champ drops the challenger right on his dome, and Dyln might be done! MJF hooks the legs, looking to end this one!
1….2… Kickout!
Dyln survives again! What was it going to take tonight for either of these men to go down, holy shit! MJF is getting visibly angry by the continued resilience of Dyln Blaine here tonight:
“Stay down you little piece of shit! You’re not even supposed to be here! They should’ve fired your ass a year ago! Stay down, go home!” MJF grabs a handful of Dyln’s hair, and drags him up to his knees, before popping Dyln right in the jaw with a big forearm. “Stay down you moron!”
Max tries to grab Dyln by the hair again, only for Dyln to grab him and catch him with a jawbreaker, sending MJF Stumbling backward. Dyln goes to try and grab MJF again for another Party’s Over, but Max turns it around on him, twisting out of Dyln’s grasp, and dropping him with  a quick sitout Piledriver! Dyln dropped right on his head, MJF into the cover, trying to put this one away!
1….2… Kickout!
Dyln Blaine just won’t die here tonight!
MJF, in a huff of frustration, once again drags Dyln back up to his feet, and once again sends him off the ropes, but once again, as MJF tries for a clothesline, Dyln ducks it, this time as MJF turns around, Dyln nails MJF with an step up enziguri! Dyln grabs Max and throws him through the ropes, before Dyln grabs the ropes and jumps up onto them, before springing off and dropping MJF with a big twisting Plancha!
Dyln throws MJF back into the ring, and drops down to a knee, and tries to do his best to catch his breath. This match was getting into deep deep water now, and it was clear it was starting to wear on him. Dyln gets back to his feet, and goes to climb into the ring, when he realized that Paul Heyman, at ringside, was waiving to the back for someone to come help, realizing the calvary was on the way for MJF, Dyln looks to stand and fight, trying to get ready for what was about to come…
Only to realize that nothing was coming. Heyman used the call to the back as a distraction to Dyln, allowing MJF to get a much needed breather inside of the ring! Dyln goes to try and charge back into the ring to stop this impromptu timeout, but as Dyln tries to get back in the ring, MJF grabs him, and looks to hit the Heatseeker! Dyln manages to shove MJF off of him, and takes to the sky, springing off the ropes, looking for a flying forearm, but MJF pulls referee Jake Clemons in front! Dyln accidentally takes out the referee! And then MJF immediately goes low, dropping to his knees and taking Dyln out with a hit below the belt Dyln hunches over in pain, and now it’s MJF signaling to the back, and now the backup has arrived! Syn, Solo Sioka, and Bayley charge down to the ring, looking to help MJF steal this one! Syn grabs the MPW World Title from ringside, as Solo slides into the ring and grabs Dyln’s arms, hoisting the challenger up and holding him there, as Syn gets into the ring with the belt!
Syn measures, as Solo holds Dyln there, but before Syn can charge in with the belt, Eric Taylor grabs the belt from behind! A brief tug of war ensues, and as it does, Dyln escapes the grasp of Solo! Solo tries to grab him again, but Dyln slips behind Solo, and with a dropkick, knocks Solo into Bayley, both knock heads, as both fall out of the ring! Eric Taylor wrestles the belt away from Syn, causing Syn to get jerked forward, right as Dyln springs off the ropes, and drops Syn with a HUGE Rocket Strap! Syn rolls out of the ring, and now, MJF is alone with both Dyln Blaine and Eric Taylor!
Dyln goes to go after MJF…
WHEN ERIC TAYLOR BLASTS DYLN IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD WITH THE MPW WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP?!
The entire crowd here practically jumps to their feet in stunned silence, as Eric Taylor stands over the now unconscious body of Dyln Blaine, even MJF looks shock that Eric just did that… until he doesn’t. That sinister, shit eating smirk of MJF spreading across his face, as he pulls Eric Taylor into big hug, was this part of the plan all along?! Is Eric Taylor part of this supposed “New Fallen” too?! How the hell could Eric Taylor do this, to the man who’s been by his side in MPW since the beginning?! Is nothing sacred anymore?!
Eric Taylor picks up the lifeless carcass of Dyln Blaine, and throws him to MJF, as Eric Taylor works to revive referee Jake Clemons, referee Clemons coming to just as MJF drops Dyln Blaine with another Piledriver! Dyln right down on his head, Eric Taylor already preparing the belt for it’s champion, as Clemons counts the pin!
1…..2….3!
“Here is your winner, and STILL MPW World Champion, Maxwell Jacob Friedman, MJF!”
MJF is still victorious, thanks to Eric Taylor, Dyln Blaine’s best friend, betraying him in the middle of the biggest match in his career! As Eric Taylor affixes the belt around the waist of the MPW World Champion, they’re joined in the ring by Solo, Bayley, and Syn, Syn looking like he wants an explanation but Solo & Bayley appearing as if they were expecting this all along. A brief, quiet explanation seems to be all it takes for Syn to embrace Eric Taylor as his own, before Syn raises both MJF and Eric’s hands simutanetously.
The group goes to leave together, as they march back up the ramp, MJF puts his arm around Eric Taylor, and shouts right into the camera.
“This right here, is the future of professional wrestling. Eric Taylor is the only diamond to come out of the MPW academy, the next fastest rising star in this business. His future “isn’t too bright”, his future is now!”
A massive endorsement from our World Champion to the man who just sold his soul for him, and that’s our show this week everyone. We’ll see you next week in Japan, goodnight folks!

Excommunication of the Malacca tigers, from 'Description of Malacca' by Godinho de Eredia, 1613: "Dom Georges de Santa Lucia, the first Bishop of Malacca, tried to put a stop to the evil done by tigers who came by night to Malacca to kill unresisting women and children. Thinking them to be forest dwellers from the interior who could change themselves from men into tigers, the Bishop wished to excommunicate them and offered up public prayers in the Cathedral Church. After the High Mass and the procession of the Feast of the Assumption of Our Lady of the Fortress, he solemnly excommunicated these tigers. Since that time they have never entered the villages, nor killed men, women, or children, and the Christians thank God for it. Many natives Moros, struck by this miracle, were converted in the year 1560, as well as a number of idolatrous Chelias." llustration of a Were-Tiger (harimau jadian/hantu belian) drawn by Mahlon Blaine, from the short story 'The Were-Tiger' in "The Further Side of Silence" by Sir Hugh Clifford (Doubleday, Page and Co,, 1927).
