“Oh, and Cammie.” At the sound of his voice, I spun around, expecting to hear him crack a joke or call me Gallagher Girl. The last thing I expected was to feel his arms sliding around me, to sense the whole world turning upside down as Zach dipped me in the middle of the foyer and pressed his lips to mine. Then he smiled that smile I'd come to know. “I always finish what I start.”

Traditional doodles of today!

Been watching the new "Shogun" series, and I've seen the old one a couple years back. Vasco Rodrigues remains my favourite, and him and Blackthorne are one of my favourite fictional duos, it's utterly undeserved yet I still love them far too much
Also they're in modernised designs, only because I felt like it <3

My younger cousin requested some art again, and her wish is my command - Captain Emilia from "Treasure Planet" it is! o7 (I messed up her eyes a bit while lining so she looks too calm SIGH)
Tumblr media
And eventually, the raccoon dragon! Because I doodled a dragon and a raccoon on the same page and the cousin gave me this idea haha

Cosmo Jarvis gave puppy eye expression so well and pathetically as an englishman to a very powerful lord (Hiroyuki Sanada) in all feudal japan aka in Shogun
Cosmo Jarvis was also quite sidelined in 'Persuasion' too and sulked throughout the movie (he was rejected as a suitor for Dakota Johnson's character by her parents) with puppy eyes... I guess he must choose that kind of character or scripts end up showing him like a total loser 😂😂 also, he never stood a chance against an actor (Sanada-san) that made T. Cruise look like a total loser 🤣🤣

Started playing Oddworld Abe's Oddysee for PSX recently - and you know what? I got about halfway through the game and literally quit. Frustratingly hard to the point where I was not enjoying it all. Even with save states! I can only think of a few other instances where I quit a game without finishing it at least once. But I admit I'm an action game guy through and through and don't have much patience when it comes to strategery or tactics.
Anyhow - short story long, I got to thinking about the similarities between Oddysee and the prior games it seems to be inspired by (which I DID enjoy, BTW)

“Run. It's what people have been telling me to do all year, and now I think it's time I really listen. ... Please don't look for me. Please don't worry. And most of all, please don't think of this as me running away, but of me running toward. Toward answers. Toward hope. Toward wherever I have to go to finish my father's mission and stop this thing, once and for all. ... I'll be back. And when I am, I promise I'll have answers.”

Do you think Matt had ever seen blackthorne?
Hi friend!
I do not believe that Matt ever actually saw Blackthorne and here's why.
He had his suspicions and then we find out in the fourth and fifth books that Matt was so close to taking down the circle. He had dedicated so much time and effort towards this mission. He found out that Joe had been recruited and then they decide to work together.
I truly think that Joe was afraid for Matt and I think he wanted to protect him as much as possible and that the only way to do that was to work together, and Joe would handle everything on the inside while Matt handled the outside.
I don't think Joe would have let Matt get anywhere near Blackthorne. it was too risky. I think he gave him clues to it but I don't think he ever showed it to him. Blackthorne was a part of Joe's past, and he didn't want to Matt to think of him like that. He didn't want Matt to hate him.
Which is also why Joe never told Matt about his part in the Circle. He didn't tell him that he had been recruited. He didn't tell him anything. He let Matt figure it out on his own.
So no. I don't think Matt ever saw Blackthorne. I don't think Joe had any intention of showing it to him. Not in the slightest.
