I've been writing in this RPC for over 17 years, and I've finally given myself a chance to give a few of my favorite characters a fighting shot and their own light to shine in. So there are no promises, only hopes of discovering insight into these muses of mine.

Flirting. Fighting. They went hand in hand, more times than not ever one without the other, both a song and a dance. Flirting was distraction, deception, disarming. Fighting was... well it was chemistry all the same.

Yelena had gone so long being mind-controlled by the people in charge of the Red Room she wondered if the sincerity of it was ever real. It fell from cat-like lips, natural and carefree, honeyed purrs in the thickened accent of her voice. Though she’d admit… the occasional sparring with Spider-Man was constantly amusing. He kept her on her toes, met her same cheeky style of both repartee in fighting and banter, and was just as stubborn about being the first to yield.

So whether or not she’d simply skipped the back and forth and cut right to the chase, or she'd grown bored and now sought new entertainment formed from curiosity, the abruptness of her question 'You wanna grab a drink?' was asked into the space of breaths apart before Peter asked his own stammered one in return. It graced Yelena with enough of a second to kick out distance between them again, as she so often did with everyone, ignoring how his much she'd liked the close proximity of his taller frame towering over hers.

“What, you've never had a woman ask if you want to grab a drink? You mean while fighting... or ever, Peter Parker?” An amused smile danced across her lips, nimble fingers swiped stray strands of blonde from sparkling, mischievous emerald hues. "Whether you come or not, I'm going. I've already swiped your credit card, so they're on you anyway. But my mother would scold me for being rude if I didn't say thank you or offer to pay for you, which you're paying for you so... Спасибо.”
