Hiii I’m sorry for bothering , I was wondering about bitchswap. So Lazuli has no special ability and Oleander is secretly a mermaid but what is Boe’s special ability and what would Gecko ‘s be if he had one ?

Listen it’s hard to be a bother just by sending asks, but it’s next to impossible when you’re asking about AUs that I made or helped make. I am grabbing your hands and bouncing up and down with excitement

But, unfortunately, Boa and Gecko are still super underdeveloped so I don’t have an official answer.

I think it’d be cool if Gecko could magically disguise himself though. Not fully into someone else, but changing his outfit completely, up to and including make up and hairstyle

I’m just imaging Usagi’s magic pen thing from really early on in Sailor Moon. I think she only used it once to transform into something other than Sailor Moon.

Boa’s ability I’m less sure on, because he’s even more underdeveloped than Gecko. His personality is so Blank that I genuinely can’t even come up with a ‘maybe’ answer.

Introducing bitchswap Zuli (or Lazuli as he’s called in this au). Basically we (@moonfurthetemmie and I) made an au based off an idea for a swap au by the @fresh-trans-fish, where they swapped the cast of dreamswap with the ones who have the worst relationship with each other. But we did it with JMV and took a lot of creative liberties with the lesser known jmv people as well as everyone's personality so wheeeee we have sci with a gun and doctor killer. but I'm getting ahead of myself.

So! Bitchswap Lazuli is a swap of Obsidian. Lazuli has eaten the positive apples, and has semi-faux wings (they're two cyan/light blue tendrils attached together, similar to a bat wing, but they're covered in golden feathers), some odd facial markings and a bitch complex without the emotional constipation of Obsidian. He's still definitely not benevolent, but he's nowhere near the level of evil Obsidian is. which is not a hard bar to pass but Lazuli will still kill kids when neccesary so that should gauge how he is.

Due to being a human still, and he's unable to utilize radiancy to its fullest like a spirit could, so he has no Specific Special Ability (he cannot fly with those faux wings; they can be used for mobility, as tools and weapons though like an extra limb, but that is their extent, though they are theoretically very useful underwater.) He has a weapon, a sword (one-handed, not a long-sword, perhaps similar to a cutlass) that is capable of harming corrupts a good deal thanks to his apples. His aura is uncomfortable to corrupts and comforting for spirits and non-spirits alike, but it is not suffocatingly happy nor does it kill corrupts. He does have regeneration; poisons, drugs, alcohol and the like have a lesser/no effect on him depending on potency, so compared to a guardian or spirit he is not as powerful.

He had a brother, Pine, that was killed in an accident with Oleander, the Bitchswap Obsidian who is relatively normal and sane aside from being grumpy and having a hard time making friends. This death is also the reason Lazuli ate the apples, and while he does realize Oleander didn't mean for it to happen, he still blames Oleander for Pine's untimely death and has him currently imprisoned in a cell (for other various reasons as well.)

Currently, he is on the search for the rest of the black apples, which had been found and stolen from a VERY secure place of his. He doesn't know too much about the person that stole them (nor the people protecting them and resisting Lazuli), but every day he gets a little closer to knowing so, due to his endurance and persistence.

This AU is still a WIP but be prepared for more fun that's to come with the future releases of this <3

Beechswap (Formerly "Bitchswap") is an AU where characters swap based on either who hates who the most, or what we thought would be an interesting switch. With the exception of Beechswap DINTIS, in which there's only two characters to swap anyway

In canon JMV, Zircon's spouse is unnamed. Apatite is *partly* an OC. They're Epic Sans but JMV. So not like, 100% original, but Epic doesn't officially exist in JMV. But we're epicross nerds so

Lazuli doesn't let anyone (except for occasionally Aspen) call him 'Zuli'.

Pine (Lazuli's brother) hasn't really swapped, he's just. there still. as Lazuli's brother. Similarly, Porcini (Hawthorn + Mac's daughter) hasn't really swapped with anyone. Unfortunately, she's still dead.

Three thousand years ago, not too long after (or perhaps even a bit before) me and @nom-de-plume-system released Bitchswap, affectionately nicknamed Beechswap now, we made a matching DINTIS AU. Before the DINTIS version could be released, however, Life Things(TM) happened with them and my disorganized ass was left alone to finish it.

Which is fine except uh. well. it's been quite a while hasn't it HJKGFDHSJKGF

Today I was very indirectly and probably not intentionally reminded that I hadn't ever posted this, so I said 'fuck it it's getting posted now'

There's been very little proofreading. also it hasn't been touched in months at the very least so Be Warned

“…Yknow,” Oleander mused, watching Willow and Senna flirt across the hall, “I don’t know why, but the way Willow talks sometimes reminds me of you.”

Aspen snorted. “Really? That’s funny. She reminds me of you sometimes, too.”

The brothers snickered.

Ollie’s smile slowly faded as another thought occurred. “…she…Kind of looks like you, too.“

Aspen had the same look on his face. “…and by extension you.”

Senna and Willow were completely oblivious to them. The former gently flicked Willow’s pointed ear. A trademark of spirits…and Willow’s abilities weren’t aspected to positive or negative emotions like Ollie and Aspen’s were.

“Aspen.” Oleander said carefully. “How did you and Lazuli meet Willow again?”

Aspen furrowed his brow. “We met her by the…the tree.”

The pair looked at each other.

Then at Willow.

Then back to each other.

Ollie’s eyes widened. “Oh. My god."

He ran after Senna and Willow, Aspen on his heels.

“Willow!”

Willow and Senna turned, very concerned by the urgency in Ollie’s voice.

“Willow,” Ollie started once he’d caught up, “Willow, are you the tree spirit?”

Willow blinked. Her eyes were blue, not yellow or lavender, but that didn’t mean much. She wasn’t a positive or negative spirit.

“I…maybe?” Willow said uncertainly. “Why?”

“Aspen and Lazuli found you by the tree, right?” Ollie said as Aspen caught up. “How did you get there?”

“Uh…” Willow glanced between the brothers. “I…just woke up there, honestly. I fell asleep with my girlfriend and the next thing I knew, I was there.”

“Oh my god.” Aspen said quietly.

Willow gulped. “What’s going on?”

Oleander gaped at her. “Th…then you and your girlfriend turned into the tree?”

“I- I think?”

“Oh my god. Willow, you’re-“ Aspen couldn’t even finish the sentence. He just stared at her like she’d suddenly grown three heads. Ollie wasn’t much better.

While Willow still didn’t understand, the pieces clicked for Senna. Her eyes widened.

“…Willow, did…did anyone ever tell you how Aspen and Ollie were…born?”

Willow looked at her in confusion. “N…no? Does it matter?”

Senna glanced at the brothers, whose poor brains were still buffering and trying to process this information. “…Kind of. They uh…they came from that tree. Their souls are some of the magic apples. You can probably guess which.”

Willow stared at her.

Then at the brothers.

Then at Senna.

Her eyes widened and her head whipped back to stare at the brothers as she yelped, “I have KIDS?”

“WE have a MOM???”Ollie countered, with equal distress and confusion.

“No!” Aspen said, turning and grabbed Ollie by his shoulders. “We have two moms. What the fuck?”

“Wait, then where’s-“

Ollie cut himself off and stared wide-eyed at Senna. “Wait a fucking second-“

Senna immediately burst out laughing.

“Oh my god Senna, you’re dating my mom,” Oleander said in a hushed tone.

Aspen choked. Senna wheezed and clutched her stomach.

“…I don’t remember anything between falling asleep and waking up by the tree,” Willow’s quiet, somber voice interrupted them. She looked at Aspen and Ollie with a desperate look in her eyes. “Did you- was there someone to take care of you two when you were kids?”

All laughter faded. Ollie’s eyes darkened. Aspen looked away.

Willow caught her breath. “Oh, god-“

“Some people tried to,” Aspen murmured. “Sort of. But they wanted to take me to their homes, and didn’t want Oleander.”

“The closest thing we had to a caretaker was Pine,” Ollie added, hesitating on the name. “But he wasn’t all that much older than us. And…”

Senna put a hand on Ollie’s shoulder.

“You were alone?” Willow whispered, horrified.

“We had-“ Aspen started, but Willow cut him off.

“‘Each other’ doesn’t count, Aspen. You were kids, and no one even—oh god. And I wasn’t- neither of us were ever-“ She covered her mouth. “We were never there. I’m…I’m so sorry. Oh, god. Aspen. Oleander. I’m so sorry.”

Ages and ages ago I decided I wanted to pull Bitchswap/Beechswap JMV out again and just kinda cut it into pieces like how I did for Sunfall and Horror!Dreamswap. Not getting rid of anything, just making multiple smaller posts that focus on specific things. Basically reposting the whole thing in a slightly different form

and I have one (1) draft that’s been sitting there the entire time

But I realized yesterday or the day before that. Um. It’s gonna be two years old in a few months. So I figured I might as well say something out loud here (possibly for the second time? Idk I’m having Deja Vu) and see if that will pressure me into doing it JSDJXHDH

If I remember right the big doc was originally posted around Christmas, so I’m going to aim to start posting stuff around there.

see the problem is, I think it'd be fun to have a radiant bat, but i feel like skink would fit him pretty well.

As much as I'd like to make him a little fuzzy glowy guy who hags upside down from your arm or the ceiling, Skink has the Vibes of Boa more for reasons I can't quite explain

Yknow actually it’d be REALLY funny if boa and gecko could shapeshift but like. Boa turns into a gecko and Gecko turns into a boa. I don’t think a snake would fit Gecko, but it’d be funny

ok so i've gone through and changed all "Bitchswap" id tags to "Beechswap"

Any instances of 'bitchswap' included in a post or in a tag ramble haven't been touched because there wasn't much point HJKGFDHSJGK

but anyway. With everyone but like two people being named after a tree, 'Beechswap' was too funny a pun to pass up. once i got my brain to stop screaming about the name change. which took a really, really, really long time but we're good now
