MUSE INTRO: baek daeun, 22, also @danidanidaeuni on the interwebs. making a living out of yapping about gruesome murders (read: disappointing her parents). back in town for her mom's birthday dinner... or so she claims, with a camera and idea for a shiny new series in hand.

when did your muse first arrive in yuseong bay?

got here literally a couple days ago!!! is staying at her parents', but dear god is she regretting it. is already looking at alternative accommodation. has been doing her best to work off the jetlag, but its really mostly been andante for coffee and back to her place to sleep/work.

what does an average day look like for your muse?

wake up somewhere between 9-10, get caffeine in her. hunt down her latest victim for an interview, or whoever was unlucky enough to be scammed into bringing her around. with luck, she gets some footage. sometimes she's got an episode to record, so the yuseongers are rid of her for a couple hours. stay up til she falls asleep on her laptop. what a life, baby!

where can your muse usually be found?

andante, nursing a drink and going cross-eyed staring at her screen. her blue light glasses make her look like a dweeb, and yes, you can laugh. she has no qualms about asking to share a table <3 / lemon martes, wandering around like a lost ghost. she just likes looking at the displays, ok? / staring dubiously @ pierrot's clown mascot, the lighthouse, antique shop, the old mines, and hovering around the mouth of the woods. its like shes trying to stare them down.... see if something goes bump

how does your muse feel about hanhwa resort?

i don't think she even knows about the resort.. jk! its hard to miss a gigantic building smack dab where she used to go crabbing. there's probably a sense of nostalgia for what things used to be, but she understands that capitalism is a necessary and unstoppable evil. if her parents nag her about marriage one more time, she's booking a room there.

is there an aspiration for your muse to stay in or leave yuseong bay?

the expectation's always been that she'll leave--- while she doesn't have a return ticket booked, she's based in the us, and once she's got enough footage, she's gonezo.

she was heavily inspired by daphne blake from scooby doo, and even her name's a homage to that! daeun would like how she stays true to herself (and has great style!) while still kicking ass! she thinks daphne was ahead of her time, retaining her femininity while still pulling her weight and being useful to the scoobies in her own way.

accept she'll probably never make her parents proud, fully accept and move on from that. also pay her own bills, damn. something something true independence....

I’ve always been super into mythology, all of them. I used to think that Carl Jung was onto something with the collective unconscious but then Anthropology and the reality of multilineal evolution ruined that for me (college will teach you things); but that’s alright because humans their ability to create and interpret their surroundings with equal parts love and fear is still pretty cool.

Some funfacts & trivia about you:

-Agnostic but i work in an occult library (it’s pretty quiet; the new age bookshop across the street has all the events)

-One time on Gaia Online I was kicked out of an Okami RP bc I didn’t make my posts aesthetic enough, and I thought it was just the most heart wrenching thing -I’m not sure what people stand to gain back in Ye Old Runescape luring new players out into the wild and PKing them but I was gullible enough to follow some other players at like 7 yrs old and this would have happened to me if i wasnt SUPER good at clicking my mouse and running out of there. Surviving such a harrowing experience made me think i was truly invincible.

-I was supposed to write my final paper for my Japanese Buddhism class on… surprise, Japanese Buddhism but I really wanted to talk about Kenji Miyazawa’s writings instead so I spun it through a lens of his Nichiren conversion and its impact on his poetry. My prof saw right through me but I still got an A.

Tales of RPG series raised me as a person so u know. I like Persona 1-2 era SMT though I’ve played Nocturne and IV as well. What else? Okami, LOZ: Twilight Princess, farm sims and visual novels. Genshin, on and off.

How did you find TOA?

End of 2020/beginning of 2021 I was really trying to get back into rp but couldn’t get into the various systems on discord. One community that I was trying was affiliates with The Officer’s Academy and an active tumblr community rly caught my interest. The rest is history!

Not really? I need to be able to connect with them on some level obviously, and I tend to prefer characters who have like a clear childhood or background for why they are That Way. Micaiah was actually p difficult for this reason but being able to really shape her based on what little we know also made me ever more fond. ♥️ I love to stare at pegasusknight and serenesforest supports pages late at night tehe

What do you believe you enjoy writing the most?

I don’t particularly plan ahead but I really love when threads reflect past character development whether in a thread with the same muse or different. TOA extended universe… I’d like to do that more I think but first I have to actually make a support page huh? Since Rhea’s back she’s made more bonds though and that makes me happy.

Favorite TOA-related memory: Definitely Unlocked 2021! It was my first event after really starting to warm to the TOA community and i was an awe of the scope of the events. The mods thought this far ahead?! We can do this?! Every event since has just been even more fun but the surprise and intrigue i felt then really stayed with him

Scars: Pre-entering Heavenly Host, the only scar Yoshiki has on his person is a faded, jagged one just above his upper lip. He sustained it during his last encounter with his father when a fight broke out and a punch landed square to his face, busting his lip within seconds. It’s barely visible to the eye anymore and anyone would have to be up close and personal to see it.

Other: Often has dark bags under his eyes from working late and trying to juggle a healthy sleep schedule along with schoolwork— which he fails miserably at. He also has a birthmark on the back of his right shoulder.

Mother: Ayako Kishinuma.

Status: Alive.

Relationship: Strict and uptight, it’s no surprise that Yoshiki and his mother have never seen eye to eye. While he doesn’t loathe her as much as he loathes his father, Yoshiki would still rather spend an entire day watching paint dry than have to spend quality time with the likes of her constantly nitpicking at everything he does. His best is never good enough in her eyes and much like his father, she is more than ready to cut all ties with her son.

Father: Isao Kishinuma.

Status: Alive.

Relationship: Yoshiki despises his father more than anyone in the world and describes him as a deadbeat. They have never gotten along, not even in his youth. He was never supportive of his son and wrote him off as a failure the second his grades started to decline in high school. After things got ugly over a family dinner one evening and a psychical altercation broke out between them, Yoshiki was quickly disowned by both of his parents and forced to move out immediately that night— warned never to come back to their house ever again otherwise they’d call the police on him and get him arrested.

Siblings: Yoshiki has one younger sister (14) named Miki whom he’s quite close to despite his bad blood with the rest of his family who often try to keep her away from him, deeming him a bad influence. That doesn’t stop the two from meeting up in secret though, and she brings food to his apartment in order to make sure he’s eating well. Yoshiki wishes she could live with him, but given his financial situation and the fact he can barely provide for himself, he refrains from inviting her to do so— not that his parents would allow that anyway. At the end of the day, he just wants what’s best for her.

Spouse: N/A. (Depending on the verse, I usually ship him with Ayumi Shinozaki and have a few plot ideas if anyone is interested.)

Pets: Given the fact that his grumpy landlord doesn’t allow pets into his apartment complex, Yoshiki doesn’t own any animals.. but he’s always wanted a dog. He has considered sneaking a puppy into his home several times but ultimately decided against it since he can’t risk being thrown out onto the streets.

Friends: Yoshiki has few friends and is described as a bit of a loner, however there are a select few people he would say are real friends. He would consider Satoshi Mochida his best friend, Ayumi Shinozaki a close second. As for the rest of class 2-9.. he finds them tolerable at most. The students from other classes simply don’t exist to him. He does however, have a soft spot for their home room teacher Ms. Yui and her kind heart. She’s possibly the only adult he’s ever trusted.

Other:

Personality: To those around him, Yoshiki can appear to be cold and uncaring upon first glance— unapproachable with endless sarcasm and wit at the ready as a defence mechanism to keep people at arms length. It’s often hard for him to open up to people, and he tends to keep his emotions and problems bottled up due to the trust issues he developed from his hectic relationship with his family and school faculty. But there’s a secret softie hidden away within this school delinquent, and he can be extremely loyal to those he holds dear to him. Deep down, Yoshiki has a big heart and would do anything to keep his friends safe— even if that means throwing caution to the wind and giving into reckless behaviour— putting his own life at risk to save theirs. He always means well despite his bluntness.

MBTI type: ISTP. Introverted, Sensing, Thinking and Perceiving. An ISTP is energized by spending time alone and having quality time with people they care about.

Bad Habits: In his early teens, he picked up smoking as a means to combat stress. The nasty habit is also used as a way to act rebelliously in school too, purposefully doing it to piss off the teachers who often catch him lighting up a cigarette on the roof much to their dismay. He’ll never admit it, but smoking is quickly becoming a little bit of an addiction and as the days go by, he finds himself itching for a cigarette more and more whether at work or sitting at his desk in class. Something he blames himself for.

Weapons: Upon arrival at Heavenly Host, Yoshiki will use anything he can get his hands on to protect himself and his friends. Whether it be a pair of rusted scissors, a piece of broken floorboard or broken glass. Anything.

Backstory:

Unlike the majority of his peers at Kisaragi Academy, Yoshiki doesn’t have the perfect, happy family to go home to after a long day of studying— curtesy of his no-good parents who were quick to disown him on a whim because he didn’t quite fit their standards. From the day he was born he’s always been the black sheep of the family, constantly disappointing his parents with bad grades and overall poor attitude both in and of school. Something they penned down to a series of behavioural issues— yet still made no move to seek him any help. This of course sparked a chain of events which led to Yoshiki’s deep distrust toward adults in general, especially those who appeared selfish and full of themselves.

On a particularly eventful night in the Kishinuma household, a disagreement broke out and Yoshiki found his face on the end his father’s fist after a fight broke out between them— a fight that swiftly ended when his mother threatened to call the police if he refused to leave their home. With barely any time to say goodbye to his younger sister— who was in floods of tears watching her big brother being shunned out of the door, Yoshiki found himself couch surfing for the next few weeks at Satoshi’s house, where he soon found a part-time job at his local convenience store in hopes to be able to afford rent on a cheap apartment.

Luckily for him, an opportunity to snag an apartment was right around the corner, and Yoshiki grabbed it with both hands. Unfortunately, living alone and renting out the apartment came with a whole new batch of troubles in itself.

Barely able to afford rent as well as food and other basic needs to keep him going, Yoshiki finds himself working more and more hours just to try and make ends meet, all while struggling to juggle his schoolwork on top of it— which often ends in late night study sessions in a futile attempt to get homework done.. and even then he’s falling asleep during class as a result, falling behind everyone else. Yoshiki doesn’t know why he still bothers with school anyway. He fails to see a bright future ahead of himself, as do various teachers at Kisaragi Academy who constantly voice their disapproval for his lack of enthusiasm and rebellious nature. Back-talking them sure doesn’t help his case either.

Little do they know that his insubordination is a desperate cry for help— which often goes ignored by both teachers and peers alike— passing him off as ‘just another dumb delinquent student who will never learn from his mistakes.’

In all of this, Yoshiki struggles to find the will to continue with school and often thinks about dropping out. Who would care anyway with exception of Satoshi!? With barely any friends to miss him when he’s gone and the rest of the students thinking he’s a lost cause, he thinks it would be better off for them too if he wasn’t there. Fortunately Ms. Yui and Ayumi were finally able to talk some sense into him, convincing him to stick it out and ‘try his best’ which he did for them.

Without Satoshi, Ayumi and Ms. Yui, Yoshiki doesn’t even like to entertain the thought of where he’d be right now..

..and then cue Heavenly Host entering the picture to shake all of their worlds on its axis..

hard light holograms: on the light side, they can make herself appear human. on the heavy side, as a side effect of their previous status as the danger room, danger is still able to create realistic but entirely fake scenarios. this came in very handy as a warden in krakoa. they are also able to emit hard light as a laser and damage their opponents more directly.

When he went into rehab that one spring, his only daughter had been three years old. By the time he came out it was summer, and his Joany was four. Eddie had never missed her birthday. Even with tours, constant writing and recording, and being deep into cocaine and opiate addiction. He still always showed up for his kids birthdays while playing the part of the best dad in the world, mostly without fault.

For no apparent reason, other than to torture him. The guilt of having missed her birthday came back to kick him in the ass when she approached him one summer afternoon on the deck of their brand spanking new beach house. Eddie was holed up there drinking a cup of camomile tea that Steve had just handed him, which frankly, he thought tasted like stagnant pond water. And the boys were loudly playing pirates down on the beach under Steve's watchful hawk eyes. But when Joan clambered up on the patio sofa to curiously inspect his cup, scrunching her little button nose at the scent. Eddie knew questions were coming.

She inevitably asked what he was drinking, perched on her knees beside him. And he explained it was a special tea for a headache that kept bothering him. Quick as a whip, Joan looked sceptically at her dad's and reported that tea couldn't cure that, that Eddie needed medicine. Therein laid the kicker because he could no longer take those things, at least not yet. Steve remained quiet but slid an arm around his shoulders for comfort, to which Eddie felt eternally grateful. He gently explained to Joan that because he'd been really sick in the hospital, he went to. The doctors didn't think it was a good idea for him to take regular medicine, that it might make him sick again as he was pretty weak right now. He had to stick to non-medicine stuff for a while before he could handle the usual stuff. Her muddled expression was sweet, and Steve muttered fondly into his ear that she looked more and more like him every day after she hopped down to go and play with her brothers, mostly satisfied with his answer. Eddie just smiled and curled up tight beneath the comfort of his husband's arm.

A sharp twitter of boyish giggles erupted from the darkening car park at Hawkin's High. Eddie should have left a few hours ago, as should his brand new companion, Dustin Henderson. But the kid was a fucking riot, and Eddie found himself enthralled after only meeting him that day. Dustin had shit-stirrer written all over him, and he'd been right to pick him out of the freshman lambs in his crazy Weird Al t-shirt. Instead of going home like good students, they hung around talking about D&D, arcade games, and movies the two liked, which is how their conversation moved on to Star Wars impressions. For someone without a deep voice, Dustin nailed Chewbacca with surprising ease. And their attempts at Darth Vader and Yoda were gut-busting hilarious to the point of howling through the twilight.

Once their laughs were had and they could breathe easy again, Dustin surprised Eddie by turning to him and telling him that he was pretty cool. A compliment from a fourteen-year-old should've been nothing; he should have laughed it off. Yet, Eddie found himself genuinely smiling at the words. Had anyone ever called him cool before? He didn't think so. He nodded and clapped a firm hand over Dustin's shoulder to tell the kid that he thought he was pretty freaking awesome too, and that he'd fit right in at Hellfire. Honest to the devil, Dustin practically beamed at him in response.

For a metalhead, Stand by Me by Ben E. King shouldn't have meant shit to him. But when he was wrapped in Steve's arms on the dancefloor of their wedding. Suddenly, that song meant everything in the world to Eddie Mun--Harrington. Shit. "Eddie...Edward Harrington." The new name rolled off his tongue experimentally as they moved almost gracefully about the floor, he only stumbled a few times, and Steve smiled at him, looked at him like he was a wonder. Goddamn, those eyes still got to him despite all their years together. They made him melt like wax under a flame, and nothing would please Eddie more than to be in Steve's fire forever, which he supposed he could do now as they were finally bound together for life.

Marriage had never been of importance to Eddie before. The whole getting married was mainly to please Steve, whereas he could take it or leave it. And having Steve look at him like he'd been all day made him glad to have done it. Eddie would do it every single day just to see that blissful expression. "How do you think it sounds?" He asked, pecking Steve's lips as they passed a speaker. Fuck, this song was going to get him whenever he heard it now. Eddie felt the prickle of tears looming behind his eyes.

"Hmm?" Steve answered, sounding dreamy, his eyes locked on Eddie's.

Huffing fondly, he nudged Steve with unusual gentleness. "The name, you dork. Does it sound good?" A slither of insecurity trickled into Eddie's words, immediately snapping Steve back to reality.

"Baby, of course, it does. It's like music to my ears." Steve squeezed him affectionately and followed up with a kiss on his forehead. "I love you, Mr Harrington." Yep. That did it alright. The dam built up behind Eddie's dark doe eyes burst at the seams, crashing down in a rush of tears, happy tears; Eddie assured Steve when he began to look panicked that he did something wrong. Although he did say the song wasn't helping, so Steve took him outside for some air, only gently teasing him about getting gushy over Ben E. King. But he couldn't stay mad about it for more than a second. Not when he needed to kiss his husband. Yes, his husband, so bad. The warmth of Steve's lips, his body, with Ben in the background. It was pretty perfect.

ATTICUS WRIGHT ( HE/HIM ) is a CIS MALE, THIRTY year old BARISTA AT DELIA’S CAFE who has been living in Moorbrooke for TWO YEARS. They were born on JANUARY 1ST and right now, they are currently residing in OAKLEY COURT It has been said that they look suspiciously like ROME FLYNN and if they had to choose a song to describe themselves, they would choose POPPIN’ CHAMPAGNE by ALL TIME LOW.

Due to some complications during giving birth, Atticus never got to meet his mom. He knows she was a wonderful person with a big heart because his father always told him stories of her, even making sure to name him what his mom wanted to name him, and he never did remarry after her passing.

He grew up around his moms side of the family just as much as his dads, as he made sure to involve them in much of Atticus’ life as possible. not to mention, much of his mother’s free spirit coursed through young Atty.

Growing up alongside his punk rock loving father, who took him to loads of concerts further nourished the free spirit within him. It was during these shows that he discovered he had a real interest in learning how to play the drums, most of his favorite people from each group also happened to be drummers. his father did not hesitate to get him a drum set and teach him some stuff he knew.

On his tenth birthday Atticus was gifted two things, from two different people, that would spark an interest he would carry on until this very day. The first gift he received was a daily journal & the second gift was a “true cases: true crime for kids” book. It did not take long for Atticus to discover the possibilities he could create with his imagination and some writing utensils. the guy was hooked on creating short stories, writing fan fiction, and jotting down as many dreams as he could remember. He also began to dive into more true crime cases as he grew up, and even began to dream of a day he could be a private investigator.

He was going to school for criminal justice but after his second year he had to drop out of college due to his father needing more at home care. He was twenty-five when his father passed, and after that, he chose to quickly leave town once the services were over. The passing of his father did hit him pretty hard. he began to dive into hard drugs, the party scene more, momentarily losing himself, but he eventually found the strength to pull himself from that dark hole. Now a days if he smokes, does shrooms, or if he experiments with anything a little harder it’s only to have a good time and not depend on it to make him numb again. He HAS laid back on a lot of drugs, although he does occasionally like to trip balls with his roommate (wc to be added) in the comfort of the apartment they share.

All of the questions? Oh boy. Well, you asked for it, here we go:) 1. What made you pick up the muse you have?

I've always loved Nat, in the comics and in the MCU. Going through the whole COVID thing has been hard and I had a very hard time coping with lonelyness and confidence. Pretending to be somebody else, especially someone as confident as Nat really helped.

2. Is there anything you don’t like to write?

Excessive hate. I'm good with tension, fights, even characters not liking each other, but just bashing another character even if it's in game it's just not fun.

3. Is there anything you really enjoy writing?

I love exploring relationships. Just things written over a period of in game time. With time jumps, new scenarios from the beginning or ending or middle of their story just popping up and demanding to be read. People unstuck in time. I really enjoy that.

4. How do you come up with your headcanons?

Honestly? I'm asking myself all the time. Some things just plop into my head, other times I get inspired by something I red in books or comics or see in movies and I adapt it if I think it fits.

5. Do you write in silence or do you play music?

I actually usually have a TV shor running in the back. Something I've seen a million times usually, but I need the background noise. It's relaxing.

6. Do you plan your replies or wing them?

Bit of both. I am all for winging things. I believe it's just a lot more fun to come up with responses spontaniously. But I have plot points I like to plot out and then just see how it goes.

7. Do you enjoy shipping?

I do! I ship a lot of things and I'm open to most things as long as there's chemistry.

8. Is there another character you would like to write? I do write a few other characters, but they're mostly on and off depending on how my muse for them holds up. It comes and goes, but I'm putting my spin on Clint Barton at the moment and I'm having such a blast!

I don't share my name out in the open. If we've been talking for a while I like to introduce myself with my RL name, but most people just call me J. or Speedy.

I like all the seasons besides mid summer. It's way to hot. everything above 28 degrees celsius kills me.

I'm not sure if you could call it a suqad but there's a few people I've got a pretty fun story line going with. Actually there's a couple groups Nat interacts with but a squad not really.

@prplhawk: For always being around. I'm so glad I found you on here and we got to become RL friends. Talking Clint and Nat, Pokemon, animal crossing, phone calls, the amazing care packages you sent for christmas. I don't know where to even start with this, but you're amazing.

@supremestrangeness: Who basically puts up with all of my weird ideas and brain jumps and rants. The mun is incredibly kind and funny and I'm so glad I get to hang out and talk to you the way we do, even with all the time differences. It's really nice to have someone around to chat with and just have fun. And thanks for letting me vent when I have to or my endless stories about my students. You're one of the coolest people I know, you deserve the biggest hug .

@thehollowsoldat: I know you're not around much and I really miss having you around, but you know I'll still be here when RL gets less stressful. I love all our interactions, private or on thread and it's so nice to have someone as excited to write historical threads as I am.

FAVOURITE MUSE(S) YOU’VE WRITTEN : You love them all don’t you? I can look back over the muses I have written for over different spans of time in my life and I enjoyed writing for them all at one point. I think the love for them is what keeps you going, keeps them alive. I wrote for skekGra from The Dark Crystal at one point, he taught me a valuable lesson. When I went to write the ol’ generic line of ‘he raised his eyebrow’ I was like OH CRAP, is alien birb he hast no brow! So I had to revaluate ways to express a characters reactions. Writing for a non-human muse brings things to you like that and I def recommend it. Eli can’t even arch a brow xD Ha! Old habits die hard, or not at all. Gra was also the muse who was told “I Love You’ TWICE, via two diff muses as well {in game|in thread} and that had not happened to me everrrrr! I find it ironic and funny to this day. because I have written for handsome blokes but give me an birb alien whos crazy and high AF and I’ll make you confess undying LOVE -I guess xD

WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO TAKE ON THIS MUSE : Funny story I was brainstorming with another writer from the Attack On Titan series, I had a character within the Demon Slayer realm and we planned a huge crossover. I was watching the series when the last manga came out so I did some recon. I was in Barnes and Noble, cheating, flipping through the last book to see how much my fav charrie was in it when I paused to look up. Ancient Magus Bride stared at me, Elias’s bone-clad face looked me in the eye and said ello. I was taken aback, I was like I have no idea who you are but you def look like my cuppa tea. Well, I remembered the name. Nearly three months later. Looked up the anime on crunchy roll, watched it and fell in LOVE with Elias. The entire series is beautiful. You have to give it a chance, past the first episode at the very least. Its so underrated and deserves so much more. I adore it and here I am.

FAVOURITE ASPECTS OF YOUR CURRENT MUSE : Elias is one of the calmest muses I have written for. He’s low-key, chill bone-head to write for. I appreciate that because I have had some hurricane muses that were exhausting to write for. I do like how the entire series is serious but with moments of humor, that keeps me. Having a chuckle at things.

BIGGEST INSPIRATION(S) TO WRITING : Meeting new friends who adore the series and or know of it. Its a fairly silent fandom. I have always been a big fan of crossovers and other peoples Original Characters. I love leaping into different realms, worlds and or fandoms, keeps me on my toes as a writer.

FAVOURITE TYPES OF THREADS : All of them. Def laughing at or with my muse is high up there. Fluff. Angsty things -jus a touch. Putting Eli into situations where he has to think fast. I love it when you click with a fellow writer and you just world build like all hell, bouncing ideas, Hc’s and random tidbits off of each other. Its so fun.

WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO TAKE ON THIS MUSE : back in 2018 i was playing wolverine and to be perfectly honest, I hated sabes. like full on hate. holy shit this bastard, what a piece of shit, keep him away from me. It really didn’t help that i wasn’t long out of a friendship where the other person played sabretooth and it really soured my opinion of the character. but, iirc, a friend and I needed him for a villain for a plot we were doing and I was like, yeah alright i’ll npc him. next thing I know, I’m digging through his past, realizing how queer coded he originally was, learning about his childhood, and it was like oh shit i’ve fallen in love with him. so, yeah, i never actually intended to pick up sabretooth. i never even wanted to like him. but he grew on me incredibly quickly. funny thing is, this is almost the exact same way i ended up with a wolverine muse. that friend and i just needed him for an npc and he took root immediately. WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE ASPECTS OF YOUR CURRENT MUSE : i genuinely love how terrible victor is. i also love that he has canonically attempted to redeem himself. he genuinely does have the capacity to be a good person, but the problem is that he just chooses not to 9 times out of 10. and that’s interesting to me. that he’s awful not because he’s a victim of fate or his instincts [thought the instincts don’t help and he can lose himself to them and be awful], but that he is actively choosing a path that he knows will hurt other people. i also like that he had moments, even before he was inverted, where he wanted to leave it all behind and ended up throwing himself in even deeper instead. WHAT’S YOUR BIGGEST INSPIRATION WHEN IT COMES TO WRITING : sabretooth: death hunt, x-men origins: sabretooth, origin II, sabretooth: open season, iron fist: sabretooth - round 2. look i know this wasn’t exactly what the question was asking, but these are the comics that i love the most for victor and what i draw the most inspiration from. i do have a playlist for vic that i listen to for inspo when i’m writing. FAVORITE TYPES OF THREADS : i really love hurt/comfort. i am THE BIGGEST sucker for that shit. i also really like thread where he can be awful. fighting and bloody and insulting people, but that requires so much plotting with a partner to even try writing threads like that. it’s easier to do that sort of thing off memes. i also really like threads where i can bring up one of my fave hcs, that vic has a well hidden booby trap in his head left by birdy and all that it needs is to be found and triggered by a telepath for the lingering effects of her glow to hit him and knock him on his ass for a while. BIGGEST STRUGGLE IN REGARDS TO YOUR CURRENT MUSE : vic is a villain, and there’s always certain struggles that come with playing a villain. thankfully i haven’t really had to deal with anyone poking the bear and getting angry at me about vic’s response since i’ve come back, or not respecting him as the danger he is [i have friends whose muses don’t respect him but that’s a built up relationship and it’s different, i love you guys and do not mean you], but i also struggle with finding a balance with him sometimes. sometimes my anxiety gets the better of me when it’s time to have him treat another muse badly.

FAVOURITE MUSE(S) YOU’VE WRITTEN: Kaida for sure, though I’m having a lot of fun with Lillian. I did RP as a traitorous guard a long, long, long time ago in another fandom. Another OC. His name was Ephraim and he ended up committing regicide for the greater good of his country and crowned himself as king and was a delightfully grey-natured character. Miss that dude sometimes.

::GETTING TO KNOW THE ACCOUNT::

WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO TAKE ON THIS MUSE: Honestly @transcendentafflatus DM’d me one day and was like “Hey, let’s RP again” because we hadn’t since our old group fell apart. Then I was like “Yeah I could but I don’t wanna use my old characters, so I want to make someone new!” And I had just swapped to Au Ra in-game on my main and decided to use that as a base for the new character. Unfortunately, a lot of Raen lore in-game is about Sui-no-Sato and while I liked the idea of an underwater village, I didn’t wanna just use Sui-no-Sato. So I decided to make my own version of it. The gaslighting/exile thing came in after experiencing that in my own way irl. It was part of a way to cope with everything that was happening in those months (losing my job, still dealing with the after effects of my dad passing away, dealing with my static kinda falling to pieces, dealing with friends backstabbing me, and ALL IN TIME FOR MY IRL WEDDING hahahahaha stress was my way of life back then). Anyways, I made Kaida initially to RP and even though I may still do that (I did make a more RP-universe friendly version of her after all), her WoL self has kinda taken over.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE ASPECTS OF YOUR CURRENT MUSE: Everything? Am I allowed to say that? No, really, I made Kaida into someone I felt I could be best friends with. If I had to pick one thing, however, I would pick her inability to give up. She’s stubborn. Maybe too stubborn. But it makes for some fun times.

WHAT’S YOUR BIGGEST INSPIRATION WHEN IT COMES TO WRITING: Honestly, when I start to feel as though my inspiration is slipping, I read other people’s works. Usually reading things by others inspires me to keep going. Also going back and reading nice comments on my fics. People really don’t realize the power of words sometimes. I would’ve given up a long time ago if I didn’t have support from such lovely people. Lately, I went on a small trip to see my grandma and being unable to write fueled my need to write. Sometimes seeing new places is a huge boost to creativity.

FAVOURITE MUSE(S) YOU’VE WRITTEN : It has to be Wylan over at @cadcnce seeing as I’ve written him since I was in high school and to this day he’s still coming along for the ride. I love writing all my muses, but he’s one I’ll just never be able to escape despite several unfortunate attempts. Raguna is a close second however since I love just how dichotomic they are, it’s mindblowing.

I also love everyone on my multimuse. :) Just not as much as these two, though Samus is quickly making ground... and Eira.

⤷ GETTING TO KNOW THE ACCOUNT

WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO TAKE ON THIS MUSE : I’ve been a fan of the RF series for years. I dabbled in the games from the first, but it wasn’t until RF3 that I really dug into the games, went back and played Frontier a couple times, and then Tides of Destiny and 4. Raguna stuck with me as the most interesting protagonist given how he was manipulated and still came out as a good person at the end of the first game. That you not only saved but could wed the secondary villainess is such an ultra chad move. Not to mention his characterization and interactions in Frontier. Love him. And I’d been wanting to try a canon muse for a long time.

FAVOURITE ASPECTS OF YOUR CURRENT MUSE : Raguna is unapologetically generous and kind. Also I’ve grown to really love how stupidly powerful and talented he is with pretty much everything thanks to farm sim protag powers. He does all the crafting, all the farming, all the fighting... and yet remains good and modest. :)

BIGGEST INSPIRATION(S) TO WRITING : People who show interest in my characters are always a big surge to the writing train, but music tends to be the backbone of my enthusiasm and muse. Doesn’t even have to be relevant to the muse, just something energetic and powerful to keep my head spinning. Need to dive into some new albums to get that going again, hue.

FAVOURITE TYPES OF THREADS : Pretty much everything except angst for the sake of angst. I need happy ends to my plots because I like good vibes on my blogs. That said, adventure plots will always be my sweet spot I love plotting out a journey with another writer and coming up with NPCs for it. Great quest, great defense, something something! Also silly comedic quippy stuff is fun now and then. Like everyone I’m a sucker for fluff (and Raguna gets REALLY fluffy compared to my other muses) and I don’t mind lewd stuff now and then as long as it’s somehow relevant.

hey everyone! ummm this is peyton (also the mun of lee hyeon) taking a second shot at a second character — i have a lot of muse for this one, so i swear he’ll be around for a while… 🥵 this is ryu geon, yes his name rhymes with hyeon’s & no i do not care ♥️ he’s the lead guitarist/vocalist of meta and also the son of a former nobody rockstar, but i’ll get into all that below! like this post if you’d like for me to come into your ims to plot, click the read more for more info on geon, and/or click here to be taken to his pages: CAREER, DOSSIER, PINTEREST.

HISTORY.

born in autumn ‘97 to a “budding rockstar” (translation: “no yeah i swear our band’s really starting to take off, we sold twenty-three tickets to our last show!”) & a woman with commitment issues ♥️ geon’s dad always told him that his mom left because she had some dire matters that needed to be taken care of and SWORE that she cried the last time she held her dear baby boy, but all of his dad’s bandmates say that she was just some groupie and had to be persuaded into carrying her child to term… who can say for sure?

naturally, there are no pictures of this mystery woman. there was one (1) of her holding infant geon, but then he found out that that was actually a sound tech who worked for his dad’s band… and he just never corrected geon’s assumptions LOLLLL

anyway! he was always really close to his dad, considering they were a two-person family. he has a set of grandparents, an aunt and a couple cousins but they were never involved with geon’s life because his dad is the #blacksheep of the family. geon and his dad against the world, am i right?

uhhh geon was also kind of a black sheep growing up, but he didn’t really notice? he was a happy kid, very energetic and enthusiastic. a lot of adults in the area looked down on him & his dad, but he was SOOOO blind to it because his dad’s a god in his eyes and HE’S always been nice to everyone, so why would they not like him??? because his clothes smelled a little like dad’s cigarette smoke??? big deal

wasn’t troublesome (beyond talking too much), but a lot of people still expected bad things from him :/ “his father’s a dirtbag, i’ll be surprised if that boy doesn’t end up in jail by 20”, “he won’t amount to anything without a proper role model in his life”, “his dad is teaching him how to slack off”, “he won’t contribute anything to society”, etc. he kindaaa picked up on this as he got older but pretended not to because it was more rewarding to play dumb and keep being a good kid(tm) to prove them wrong

was basically a mini version of his dad. same style, similar features, birthmarks in the same places, same “live today, die tomorrow” approach in life, same affinity for singing & playing rock music. ummm he loved his dad a lot. a lot. a lot. wanted to make him proud SO BAD, started his first band when he was 15 and they sucked so bad but his dad was their biggest fan… you know how it is. a lot of people misunderstood him, but he was a very good guy and such a great parent

TW DEATH unfortunately he passed away just shy of geon’s 18th birthday and your boy still hasn’t forgiven the world for taking his dad when he was in the middle of his angsty teen phase — had he known that their time together was dwindling, he would’ve been so so so much better to him END TW

his dad’s band actually rocketed into the charts after he passed & suddenly they were getting loads of publicity, lots of “what a shame that he went under-appreciated” which pissed geon off SOOOO bad because why couldn’t they have had that energy when he was still alive? he’s still mad about it five/six years later

this is getting kinda long, so uhhh tl;dr, he ended up staying with the drummer of his dad’s band until he was old enough to live alone/READY to live alone, but he changed quite a bit. was really going through it, quit his band, stopped putting effort into school. barely graduated. went from being a social butterfly spending every weekend at a gig or with friends to spending all of his time on a pc or in front of a tv, playing console games. the internet comforted him when nobody else would/could and then he met the future members of meta <33333333 #newbeginnings

present day geon is still struggling, has to go to counseling bi-weekly but he’s coming back out of his shell! he wants to fall in love with life again, just wants to tread carefully... outgoing & will talk to absolutely anyone, but he still spends most of his time alone. hard to reach by text, so if you wanna talk to him, you better call/facetime LMAO. talks a mile a minute, especially if you get him going abt something he really likes. laughs a lot, smiles a lot, more habitual than actual signs of happiness but yk. ummm he has a really loud voice, mostly controlled nowadays but he still gets carried away sometimes. an absolute menace during long drives/flights, sorry meta.

funny but only when he’s in large groups. feeds off of other peoples’ energy, really good at reading a room and breaking the ice/making everyone comfortable, but if you meet him 1-on-1, none of his jokes land quite the same.

i envision him as being the kind of guy who carries himself in such a way that you’d assume he’s really popular/out of reach/maybe even full of himself, but he’s... not like that... at all... in fact, he’s kinda irritating when you get to know him. the personification of a flood followed by a drought and vice versa, always either too much or not enough. gets used/ghosted/dropped/dumped/whatever a lot because he’s soooo fun in the moment (if he isn’t in his feelings), but draining long-term.

really emotionally intelligent, in touch with his feelings in a way that a lot of people never thought he would be (probably thanks to counseling tbh). he’s very very rarely the type of person who will make you wonder what your place in his life is — he’s communicative, kind, honest. ummm he thinks that intimacy between friends needs to be more common, so he’s really affectionate with the people in his life. type of guy to tell you he loves you every chance he gets (calling you when he’s drunk, sounding like a clingy ex type beat) & greet you/depart with a hug. losing his dad kinda fucked him up in the way that he won’t leave/hang up until his friends say “i love you” back, gets kinda (re: very) upset if he’s denied that and/or a hug.

TRIVIA.

has been playing the guitar “longer than he’s been walking” (not really, but he swears it’s true).

uhhh he really likes nail art, but he’s kinda hesitant in what he tries? mainly sticks to black polish (or other plain colors), but sometimes he’ll get little designs added in as well. mainly does it himself because he still doesn’t feel comfortable in salons... if his work looks bad, leave him alone <3 he’s trying

inspired by people like kurt cobain, nicky wire, yungblud, billie joe armstrong & damiano david in the fact that he’s not against wearing dresses or skirts on stage. doesn’t do it ALL the time, but often enough that it doesn’t go unnoticed. some people say that he does it for attention because he doesn’t dress like that elsewhere and tbh they’re probably kinda right

interested in history (only SOME... dinosaurs, ancient civilizations, specialized areas like the history of circuses/clowns/skateboarding/punk, stuff like that yk), stand-up comedy & documentaries. could spend a whole day watching documentaries and would say he had fun, has a lot of useless knowledge that nobody gives a fuck about and is kinda dumb when it comes to things that matter

when it comes to music, he prefers playing really fast and heavy rock or punk over anything else, but he actually listens to a lot more soft indie on his own time... he’s too tense these days to be listening to anything else RIPPP

the vibe: homemade tie-dye, ripped slipknot t-shirts, frosted tips, neon crocs with alien & peace-sign charms, chipped black nail polish, calloused hands, cheesy pick-up lines used NOT to land a date but to pull a smile, driving until he’s lost, stupid socks paired with pressed suits, dramatic poetry in an iphone note, etc.

people he met through online support groups about coping with grief

uhhh an on & off relationship that’s been going for who-knows-how-long. the reason for this is up for discussion, but i imagine that he hasn’t given up yet because the constant highs and lows are a good source of inspo 🤪 artists must suffer for their art!

opposite side of the coin — someone he’s interested in, but he’s NOT disloyal so it’s a pattern of persistent courting when he’s single vs intense friend-zoning when he’s not and they’re getting tired of trying to figure out what he wants from them

someone else who likes nail art & can convince him that NOBODY cares if he goes to a salon

someone (probably female but doesn’t really matter tbh) who feels like his feminism is entirely performative… maybe they attack him directly for it or maybe they just REALLY don’t like him and they’re super vague about it idk. either way, please tell him that activism is much more than recommending one female artist a year and saying “clothes have no gender 🤪” so he can be praised for the bare minimum (his heart is in the right place but his skull is empty)

someone super introverted who comes out of their shell with geon! uhhh maybe they think that he’s the one doing them a favor, but in reality spending time with them has been doing wonders for his mental health

other people who like to skate. let’s congregate at the local skatepark and scare the middle schoolers away

someone who inspires him musically, for whatever reason. lots of late nights in studios, idly strumming his guitar and writing lyrics that definitely aren’t about how their eyes look in these dim lights… umm maybe he thinks he has a crush on them but really doesn’t and ends up hurting them eventually, maybe he really DOES have a crush but will (probably) never do anything abt it or maybe it’s entirely platonic and he just admires them a ridiculous amount

someone who likes to make music as a hobby, prob won’t publish/release any of it but it’s fun to imagine. spontaneous meetings with geon in the middle of the night, recording songs together and keeping the WORST takes for the laughs. there’s probably a diss-track of them going in on each other floating around somewhere even though geon can’t rap for shit

night owls who keep him company on the phone, even if they can’t be there physically. them talking really quietly vs geon shouting at them while he plays games LMAO

gaming buddies. come over, maybe you can carry geon through his game of the week or you can both fail but have fun while you’re at it… or you can scream while he fends off that hoard of zombies behind you
