It was a pleasant surprise when I noticed something moving only about a few feet away from me. As I walked by a path, this beautiful green heron popped out behind the bushes no more than about five feet away! He was a curious one but eventually flew away as I suspect he was camera shy. . Landing across the pond, he was probably amused at all the people now staring at him. . It was a great way to start the walk. .
