I wonder if old jewish yemenite people know about the young jewish yemenite artists out there.

There are so many young bands and singers who perform for a young audience and who play yemenite music, sing in arabic and sing about yemen.

I wonder if they know we didn't forget where we came from and that we are not planning on forgetting but we are going to celebrate it and let other people enjoy our music, language, stories and voices.

Experiences from music seminar:

This popular singer everyone loves produced these songs I grew up on? Wow, what an amazing revelation to have!

But fr every class band is doing/has done a song he produced

Sleeping in a room with 3 singers means songs get stuck in my head

Girls I’ve got to be in a room with turned out to be more friendly than my bandmates I’ve known for more than a year

Out of all places, this is where I have an uninitiated conversations about sexuality? Surprising.
