Looking for Mods!

Are you in love with Stranger Things? Have you always wanted to run an event but been nervous about getting started on your own? Do you want more experience with modding Discord servers, running event Tumblrs, and working in a team?

Well look no further!

We are a pair of Stranger Things lovers who have decided to make a family of bingo events together for a wide variety of events, and we are currently looking for some people that would be interested in modding these events with us!

Together we have created bingos for Stranger Things (open to all characters), Billy Hargrove, Eddie Munson, Steve Harrington, Robin Buckley, Murray Bauman, Jargyle (Jonanthan x Argyle ship), and Ronance (Robin x Nancy ship).

In the link below, we have set up a few questions to help us find a dedicated team of mods. You are allowed to pick any (and all) servers if you so wish, and we will look at your results and contact you to with more information.

Hello! I was just wondering, can a piece fill multiple prompts? I'm working on something that would fill two of the spaces on my card and I wanted to know whether I had to just pick one to assign it to. Thanks!

Each prompt fill must be its own creation or part of a multi-chapter work created for. In the case of a multiple chapter work, you can use one prompt per chapter. For Example:

Say I want to shove all of my prompts into one giant creation. I would pick a prompt from my card and assign it to each chapter. Then in the notes of each chapter I would say "This chapter fills square B1: (prompt name) on my Billy Bingo Card!" [or something along those lines] and then on the next chapter it would be a different prompt.

Rules

Rule 1:

No hate speech against anyone’s sexuality (this includes asexuality and bisexuality!), gender, creed, ethnicity, religion, or identity. If your content has any of this because it fits the time period or a character’s portrayal (For Example: Niel, Tommy, etc.), check with a mod to make sure it’s okay.

Rule 2:

 You must be over 18+ in order to sign up for this event.

Rule 3:

While most forms of Dead Dove content are accepted, we will never permit mentions of pedophilia or the sexual abuse of children at all within this event or any channels of this server. For clarification, this means that non-consensual themes for any character under the age of 18 are strictly forbidden. It also means that any mentions of abuse to children - anyone under the age of 18 - cannot have any sexual undertones or be sexual in nature.

Rule 4:

Types of Fanworks we will accept as a fill:

Fan Fic - Minimum of 300 Words Art - Minimum of 300 x 300 pixels if digital, 3 inches x 3 inches if traditional Fan Vids - Minimum of 1 Minute Moodboards - Minimum of 4 Images Playlist - Must have a minimum listening time of thirty minutes, including cover art. Rec lists - Minimum of Three fanworks, with an explanation for each, detailing why you’re reccing them. Tell us why you love it. Now’s your chance to gush! Podfics - Must be at least 1 minute long and the author of the original work must give their consent as well as be aware you will be using the podfic for this event.

Rule 5:

All fills must be centered around Billy. You can create works for ships or for him individually.

Example 1:

I am only a Harringrove shipper so I complete all my fills using only the Harringrove ship.

Example 2:

I do not ship Billy with another Stranger Things character, so I complete all my fills using only Billy.

Example 3:

I am only a Mungrove shipper so I complete all my fills using only the Mungrove ship.

Example 4:

I ship Billy with multiple characters - Steve, Eddie, and Jonathan, so I do a combination of all. Maybe I do 1 Harringrove square, 3 Jonbill/Byergrove squares, 3 Billy-centric/no ship squares, and 2 Mungrove squares.

These are all acceptable ways to fill your card.

6) for the instructions for types of media, the “fics” says “minimum of” but all other types just list sizes/lengths/etc. are those lengths/sizes also minimum requirements, or are they the requirement for what the work should be? like, if an artist makes a work bigger than 3x3, does that mean it doesn’t count?

We haven't discussed this as a mod team (it honestly didn't even cross our minds). Now that you have mentioned it though, we will discuss it and make a post about it if we decide to do it.

There are no smaller deadlines or events. We give you your 3x3 card and you complete each prompt at your own pace. We don't want anyone to feel rushed as this is a very low pressure event, finish one prompt or finish all of them, it's up to you. If you do manage to complete your card before the 6 months is up, you can request a new one.

3) what is a badge?

Badges are little rewards you receive at the end of the event. It's a little image that says that you met a certain milestone in the event.

For example:

If you only finish one prompt you get a badge for only completing one prompt when the event is over.

If you get three in a row you would receive a bingo badge as well as a 1 prompt badge when the event is over.

If you finish your whole card, you get a 1 Prompt, Bingo, and Black out Badge.

They are just little incentives to encourage people to create more content. It's up to you which badge you want to go for.

4) will this blog be reblogging any/all works posted? when?

When you complete a square, you will fill out the Square Fill Form. In the form, we will ask for a link to your Social Post for your creation. We will then reblog your post, stamp the card, and email you confirmation that your fill has been recorded as well as an image of your stamped card. So all creations should be reblogged as soon as your fill is accounted for by a mod.

5) will there be, like, a discord or something for participants?

There is a discord, yes. You will receive an invite to the discord in your Sign-Up Confirmation Email, along with a copy of your Bingo Card Request information for verification.

6) for the instructions for types of media, the “fics” says “minimum of” but all other types just list sizes/lengths/etc. are those lengths/sizes also minimum requirements, or are they the requirement for what the work should be? like, if an artist makes a work bigger than 3x3, does that mean it doesn’t count?

All instructions for types of media are minimums. If people decide to create something larger than the sizes we have provided, their work will still be accepted. However, works smaller than the sizes we have provided will not be accepted.

Thank you for the suggestion! All Major Triggering content must be properly tagged and checked by a mod as according to Rule Number One which we further explain in this link HERE. We will keep in mind to ask creators to also put a warning in their notes when they speak to us about their triggering content. If mods are notified about improperly tagged content, we will address the problem with the creator.

Ok. I’m gonna be that person.

I 100% understand and support this. However, where does the whole situation with Karen Wheeler stand? Is the whole canon scenario a-ok, or off-limits? Or does a canon fall in a no-go zone, but things like aged-up AU or not-what-it-seems spins are ok?

Again, I have no objections, just seeking clarification.

According to the Stranger Things Wiki, Billy Hargrove's Birthday is March 29, 1967 making him 18 by the time the events with Karen Wheeler in season 3 take place. However, since his first interaction with her took place in Season 2 before he was 18, the situation could be considered grooming.

Because of this, the situation with Karen Wheeler should be left to passing mentions and short scenes along the lines of canon events. Please do not go in depth on the situation with Karen Wheeler or put any NSFW events between her and Billy into your creations.

How to Fill a Square

1) All Content must be new and created for this event. If you want to use an old WIP that has been collecting dust in your folders and hasn’t been posted, you can use that. However, you can’t use anything that has already been posted.

2) Multiple squares can be used in the same work as long as each square is its own chapter. You cannot have multiple squares in a single chapter as we are trying to create as much content as possible.

3) In order to receive your badge, you must submit a Square Fill Form and add your work to our collection.

Major Tags

You must include tags for Non-Con/Rape, Underage, Major Character Death, Graphic Violence, and any other subjects that may be considered dark or disturbing (Cannibalism, Bestiality, Necrophilia, etc.).

If you want to use “Choose Not To Use Archive Warnings” to preserve a twist in a fic then you need to HEAVILY EMPHASIZE (and I mean, heavily) that your fic has disturbing content that you’ve chosen not to disclose. The warning should be posted in your beginning notes. This warning should not be missable and be very clear the disturbing content is related to a Major Archive Warning so readers will have the chance to make an informed decision for the sake of their mental health.

These can include information such as whether the work takes place in canon-verse or an alternate universe, the sexual acts in the fic, and anything else for which someone may wish to search.
