A good year or so later (today) I have another gender identity crisis and we chat about the names trans people pick for themselves, having a bit of a giggle over names that are seemingly ubiquitous, and she tells me her first names.

I stop.

Her second name shortened is exactly my first chosen name. In full, it's *almost* exactly the name I'm trying out now.

She says it must be the city that makes people like us. It must be...
