The SML Podcast - Episode 973: Jazzy Nicknames
Download Episode 973 --
It's a PartyCast with a bunch of stuff to talk about, so let's get this show on the road!
The show kicks of with "Primetime" Pernell Vaughan, Chris "C$Money" Taylor, Andy "Showtime" Sperry, and "Aki" all on hand to chat about a whole bunch of stuff! Piddles is recovering, Sperry is downloading songs for Clone Hero, Pernell is curious what Clone Hero is so we talk about what Clone Hero is and how it's the only worthwhile active rhythm game, Rock Band Network, music in games, and tons more. And before I get people saying "Oh Fortnite Festival is worthwhile!" I disagree and I'm leaving it at that. Bring back Rock Band! Plus reviews!
0:00 - Intro/Banter 27:00 - Darkest Dungeon II - Red Hook Studios (Andy) 39:39 - Magical Delicacy - skaule, Whitethorn Digital (Aki) 51:10 - Fallen Leaf - Delta Shore Games (Pernell) 58:33 - DROS - emergeWorlds, RedDeerGames (Chris) 1:13:03 - Aerial_Knight's We Never Yield - Aerial_Knight, BetaJester, Headup (Aki) 1:19:05 - VAY - SoMoGa Inc, SIMS (Pernell)
The show ends with some Chrono Trigger goodness from The OneUps!
1:35:03 - The OneUps - Schala (Chrono Trigger)

‘Forgotten Sea’ Unveils the Self Through Sailing Peaceful Waters
You wake up on a striking beach with no memory and only mysterious messages floating around telling you about a traveler.
Unsure who you are yourself, you must sail around and find more of these messages in Forgotten Sea.
Forgotten Sea is a stunning adventure game where you play as a young adult navigating the open water. The seas are dotted with islands you can explore in hopes of figuring out what happened to both you and the traveler that’s been sending out bottled messages. This world isn’t exactly normal, either, as there are portals that you also need to travel through. These portals take you to different times and seasons, giving you a new place to explore.
I got to play a bit of Forgotten Sea at GAMAYO this year and I really enjoyed the look and feel of the game. Despite there being a set story, the world is quite open, meaning you can spend some time just sailing around, enjoying the detail and look of the visuals. Not only are you a lost sailor, but you are also looking for someone else who has been forgotten out on the sea.
Forgotten Sea aims to work like a book, with you slowly discovering the story and reflecting on what is going on, touching on the balance of life, adventure, home, and family. This game is something completely different for the development team BetaJester, which is really refreshing to see, as I feel this might just be their best game yet.
Forgotten Sea is currently in development, but in the meantime, you can follow its creation on the game’s site.
