Merry Christmas! And a lil update from Kiko
Hi. I just needed to get some things out and I’m honestly not sure if I’ll even post this after I finish typing it.
I hope everyone is doing well and having a restful holiday with their families. I’m grateful for everyone here in our lil corner, and wish you all a very Merry Christmas and am looking forward to what 2025(that’s insane to type) brings all of us! (Especially more Goinko 👀)
My update below the cut.
I finished moving today. Finished moving out of a house that, when I moved into it, I thought it would help improve my marriage that was already failing. I thought the things that were happening around us in our old apartment were the catalyst for our arguments and constant fighting, for his refusal to try marriage counseling. I thought that our apartment flooding and the black mold growing in the corners were what caused so much discontent and anger. I thought my boss constantly yelling at me was the reason I was exhausted and unable to handle my husband’s constant criticism and arguing when I got home. But those were only small factors that piled on top of larger issues that lay beneath two incompatible people, one of which was reaching her absolute limit with existing because she was constantly told that any version of who she really was was hard to love and impossible to like.
When we moved into that house, we were so excited. I was so excited for the new possibilities. Then we adopted Atlas and I really thought things could only go up. I was wrong.
I’ve been working on getting things moved over the past month, emptying out the three bedroom house and moving into a one bedroom apartment. I had to figure out how to try to pay rent on unemployment that was only a fraction of what the expenses were, and ended up having to deal with my ex-husband’s condescending accusations that my lack of savings and inability to pay the rent was due to my own shortcomings and not the lack of a job, or the fact that my entire life’s savings disappeared and never returned not long after we got married. I had to deal with him treating me like a stupid teenager who got in over their head when I didn’t get to up and leave all of my rental problems behind for him to fix. I had to fix the broken light switches and stained walls and carpets from his tantrums when he would throw and kick things in my direction but never directly at me so that he could still brag that he’d never hit me. He left within six days of me finally admitting I wanted a divorce, after he forced it out of me by threatening with it like he always did. He up and left, took Atlas without letting me say goodbye, and left everything he didn’t want for me to deal with and try to figure out how to get rid of or sell. Half-finished DIY projects and an electric lawn mower with no battery because he took that to be spiteful.
The past month has been a constant go-go-go while I worked part time, applied for jobs, and cleaned out the house as best I could while living with the constant dread of what I’m going to do once unemployment runs out. It may seem like nothing to some, but I’ve been at my limit all year and I’ve been running on empty for at least the past two years.
I felt a whirlwind of emotions today as I stood in the doorway and stared at the empty house, wiped clean of the evidence that I ever lived there. That the space once held all my hope that if I could just do better, my marriage would be fine, now empty and perfectly spotless thanks to the cleaners who did an incredible job. With the scent of cleaning products and carpet shampoo in the air, it all hit me at once that even though I’ve spent the past month cursing everything to do with that house and saying I wanted nothing more than to be done, I didn’t want to leave. I didn’t want to leave it behind because it was the last connection I had to the illusion of happiness I’d clung to for so long. A happiness that never truly existed in the first place. Instead of spending Christmas Eve with family, I was finishing up leaving behind a place I’d called home and genuinely loved so much when I moved in. I spent Christmas Eve alone, sobbing as I tried to come to terms with the fact that I felt so unbelievably sad for reasons I couldn’t begin to understand or explain. I don’t miss him. I don’t miss how he treated me or looked at me or spoke to me. I don’t want him back in my life in any way, so why did I feel so damn sad and reluctant to close that front door a final time?
There’s also the anger and bitterness that’s really begun to creep up lately. The rage that burns my chest at the fact that he gets to pretend he did nothing wrong and still treat me like it was all my fault. When he claims he couldn’t pay rent for a place he signed a contract for while he still has a full time job and a $6,000+ bonus coming in a week, while I scrape by on unemployment and still manage to make ends meet after being left with thousands in debt and no savings from the divorce.
Today was me closing out a chapter of my life that there was a time I never thought would come to an end. Officially leaving behind the last thing that truly tied me to my ex husband in any way. I won’t get my full deposit back because there was too much for me to do alone, and I didn’t have any type of energy left to keep working on it. But it’s done. I’ll have more time now to focus on something other than moving, which means I’ll be working and applying for jobs, but also trying to get back into writing more regularly again.
I’ll be around a bit for the holidays because I have a few days off. But like I said before, I hope everyone is resting and having a wonderful time with their families or whatever they’re spending their time doing!
This lil corner has been one of the few positive things in my life, something I never thought would come of my random Gojo brain worm almost two years ago. Thank you all again for the support and love you’ve given this year. I’m really excited for what next year will bring. (Like maybe a short tattoo au one shot)

Through various hermit’s videos, so far the timeline of this snowball is:
(in my head half of this was in a Bill Wurtz voice for some reason and that made it significantly funnier, pro-tip)
Mumbo returns and ages his copper Wrong
Grian decides to prank him by aging copper even More Wrong directly on Mumbo’s base
(Mumbo is very confused, also amongus reference)
Grian steals mines copper from Doc’s perimeter walls. Finds the tunnel bore.
(foreshadowing x2)
Innocently asks chat “what doin” while smelting
Scar feels bad no one answered Grian last time Grian asked that. Asks what Grian is up to. Grian admits to procrastinating on his base....again
(Impulse happens to be flying by Grian’s base at that exact moment)
Scar, Gem, and Impulse descend on Grian H. Dreamslayer to have an intervention
Hilarity ensues (for the trio) and dismay ensues (for Grian)
Grian “works on” the back of the base
asks to go to bed because it’s late
(Scar “but what if you die overnight and this is your legacy?”)
They agree to give him 24 hours
“....Have you seen Doc’s tunnel bore?”
“Grian, FOCUS!
“FINE! *flies away*”
“.....I kind of want to see the tunnel bore”
Scar is an enabler (they go to see the tunnel bore)
Scar is an enabler 2: electric boogaloo (Scar turns on the tunnel bore; convinces Grian to try it)
--BIG BAD EXPLOSION TIME UH OH--
(panic ensues, the wardens are safe)
(also funny cryptic tweets)
“Heeeeyyy Siri how far is Berlin from Portland??”
Scar hides in a bathroom in-game and irl, just in case
Idea! Try To Fix The Tunnel Bore!
How the f*ck does redstone work! There was definitely a fencepost somewhere in it! And a....coral fan??? shit shit shit sh
Idea! Uhhhhhh...Nevermind!
diamond pile + cool pokemon cards + “Sorry we broke your cool machien!” cake and run run run ru
They Tried Their Best!
“Heyyyy Doc. Has anyone ever told you how cool you are? And handsome? Your base is soooo awesome, can we have a tour??”
Inconspicuous Tour is Actually Incredibly Conspicuous, more at 11
“He has a murder machine??” asks next most likely victim of the murder machine
End your neighbor’s house tour by admitting to breaking the lawn mower and escaping through a secret hole in the ceiling which you also broke like it’s some kind of sitcom skit
War is declared. Obviously
Doc is more upset about the months of stolen MINED copper than the tunnel bore
Grian’s portal to hell is now ~~Condensed and Sideways~~
Grian also has a timebomb above his base that will blow it up in ~24 hours~ or something, don’t worry about it
(Doc is not involved with this at all but if he was it would probably use charged creepers instead of tnt somehow)

Why Electric Lawn Mowers Are the Future of DIY Lawn Care
Introduction to Electric Lawn Mowers
Tumblr media
Benefits of Using Electric Lawn Mowers
The environmental impact of switching to an electric lawn mower is one of the strongest arguments in favor of doing so. Electric mowers have no emissions, in contrast to gas mowers that release dangerous pollutants. This enhances the quality of the air surrounding your home in addition to helping the environment. Electric mowers also require less maintenance because they have fewer moving parts and don’t need air filters, spark plugs, or oil changes. Electric mowers are more user-friendly than gas ones because they are lighter and easier to handle, and they can be started with a single button.
Selecting the Right Electric Lawn Mower for Your Needs
Think about things like your lawn’s size, the terrain, and your preferred power source when selecting an electric lawnmower. Because they have an infinite runtime, corded models are perfect for smaller yards, but they do need to be near an electrical outlet. Larger lawns can benefit from cordless models, which offer greater mobility but have a shorter battery life. The mower’s cutting width, adjustable cutting heights, and capacity for side discharge, bagging, or mulching are important features to check for.
Ease of Use
Another benefit of electric lawn mowers is their user-friendliness. For homeowners of all ages and physical capabilities, they are the best option because they are typically lighter and more manageable than gas-powered mowers. Additionally, a lot of electric mowers have push-button start systems, which do away with the need to pull a cord in order to start the engine. For people who struggle to start traditional pull-start mowers or have mobility issues, this feature is especially helpful.
Electric mowers are quieter than their gas-powered counterparts and also easier to start. In addition to making mowing more enjoyable, the lower noise levels lessen the possibility of upsetting nearby residents. Those who live in neighborhoods with noise restrictions or in close proximity to other people should pay particular attention to this.
Safety Features
When using any lawn care equipment, safety is an important factor to take into account, and electric mowers have many benefits in this area. They do away with the possibility of fuel leaks and spills, which can be dangerous for the environment and the user. In addition, the dangerous fumes that gas-powered mowers release are not produced by electric mowers, lowering the possibility of breathing in hazardous substances.
Numerous electric lawn mowers come with safety features that prevent unintentional starts, like automatic shut-off upon handle release. In order to prevent potential hazards, the mower can modify its speed or stop completely. Certain models additionally come equipped with sensors that identify obstacles or changes in the terrain.
Reduced Maintenance
The fact that electric lawn mowers require less maintenance is one of their biggest benefits. To keep gas-powered lawn mowers operating smoothly, they need to have their oil changed, air filters changed, and spark plugs maintained on a regular basis. Depending on how long the mower lasts, these chores may be expensive and time-consuming.
In contrast, electric mowers require less maintenance because they have fewer moving parts. It is not necessary to deal with carburetor problems, change the oil, or replace the air filters. The only routine upkeep needed is to make sure the battery is charged and to keep the blades sharp. The mower lasts longer thanks to this less maintenance, which also saves time and money.

My Lawnmower Died
My lawnmower died the other day.
I’ll admit that I’ve got a soft spot for the old battler. I bought him (I’ve always pictured my lawnmower as a crotchety old man who is rather fonder of booze than he should be) for $120 around eight years ago.
I lived in a place with a smaller yard back then, so I decided to just get the cheapest lawnmower I could find. It just so happened to be an electric mower (the kind you plug into an extension cord). It wasn’t a big deal at the time, but I eventually ended up moving to a place with a bigger yard and much more rugged terrain.
Did I give up on the old guy?
Not a chance.
I just got a 25 metre long extension cord and continued plugging away. Heck, there’s a long driveway with some grass up the front. What did I do? Connect the 25 metre extension cord to another 25 metre extension cord. No surrender.
The reviews for that mower said it was cheap, shoddy, and really only good for a year or two even on flat, easy lawns. Hah! Maybe most of his fellows were crappy, but my mower was a damn hero.
The old bastard lasted roughly eight years, and the majority of that was spent mowing a lawn that was sloped, uneven, and had rocks, roots, and all sorts of other debris around.
When he was around four years old, his motor started to go. Heck, he’d overheat when dealing with longer grass, and you could smell a combination of hot metal and melting plastic. His blade got chipped too, and the area around the base cracked and split, so grass would get wedged in there. One time, he even shut down completely for an hour due to the heat.
The grass outlet got deformed, so the catcher wouldn’t always fill up before grass started to back up and you’d have to stop, unplug the lawnmower, and manually dig the grass out before it could clog anything vital.
I also left him once to grab a drink. He was on flat ground, but somehow, he started rolling when I was on my way back, and I got to see him roll down the slope and over a small ‘cliff’. He cracked his casing, and I’m pretty sure that was when one of his wheels started going dodgy.
He lasted another four years or so although by the end, I couldn’t cut the grass quite as short as I used to. He just couldn’t get it done. His motor would seize up, and that burning smell would fill the air. Instead, I just cut the grass a bit longer, and he could manage that, even if he chugged something awful on the slopes and slowed down when the grass got even a bit thick. Each time I mowed, I’d wonder if maybe today was the day the motor finally kicked the bucket. Honestly, I’ve spent the last three years wondering if I should buy a new one. I could never quite bring myself to, not when he was still chugging along as best he could, battered but not beaten, tough without an ounce of quit in him.
All the same, the lawn looked great. In fact, the lawn looked just about picture perfect all the way to the end. You’d never know just how badly the lawnmower was damaged from looking at it. You’d think he was a top of the line model with all the bells and whistles, still new and sparkling, fresh out of the box, all shiny and chrome. I remember the neighbours commenting on how nice the lawn looked, how well cut it was. Not bad for a machine who wasn’t supposed to last more than a year or two, not bad for the cheapest mower from a brand known more for low prices than anything else.
The end came when one of the wheel just came right off with the most important parts crumbling to bits.
The lawnmower is so old and they don’t make his model anymore, so a spare wheel that fits costs enough that I can’t justify getting it, not with the motor sounding like its on the verge of death, not with the exterior ready to crumble too, and not with him needing a brand new blade as well. All those things added up make buying a new lawnmower the sensible thing to do.
But I have to take my hat off to the old fellow.
With a half-broken motor, a crumbling exterior, a chipped blade, and only three wheels... he still go the lawn mowed. In fact, I mowed the last 30% of the lawn with the wheel missing. It still came out looking great, and I’m glad he got to go out without leaving a job unfinished.
I don’t know if reincarnation is a thing for lawnmowers. But if it is, I hope that in his next life he really is a top of the line, all the bells and whistle, shiny and chrome, super premium lawnmower. I want people to look at him and say ‘Damn! Now, that’s a lawnmower!’.
I’ll probably head down to the store to get a new lawnmower in a week or two since it’ll take at least that long for the grass to need cutting again. I don’t know which one I’ll get, but I hope the new lawnmower has the same sort of fight in him as the old one.
Out of all my old gardening equipment, the lawnmower kicking the bucket makes the anvil lopper the oldest. He’s put in some work, let me tell you! Hopefully, he won’t be too lonely without his old buddy around.

Another thing to take into consideration, especially with stuff like power tools, is which ones are mutually compatible. While one brand may make the absolutely best electric hedge trimmer ever, this other brand may make one that is almost as good - and their batteries can be swapped over to their lawn mower, the edger, the weed wacker, and an inverter to use in power outage as an emergency cell phone station.
The result is that you have the second best hedge trimmer in its class, but only have to share one battery and one charger between another dozen power tools which are also best or second best in their class. Money saving, space saving, and you've got high quality goods that'll last decades.
Aight y'all. Here's a lesson I learned from my wife, and I wish I'd learned it years ago:
Before you buy anything, take 5 minutes to search (preferably with a non-Google search engine like DuckDuckGo) "best [whatever] for [specific purpose if necessary]."
Make sure you look at who the reviews are from; there are a lot of bad spam sites out there, but you can find good lists on reputable sites. However, you'll get some of the best lists on Reddit.
Most of what you'll find at the top of the lists on Amazon (and Walmart) are people who have paid for that spot. You'll still have to use discernment to make sure you're picking a good review site, but I'm not kidding when i say that the last time we had to buy a plunger, I ended up on a thread on a plumber's forum where they were discussing which plunger they keep in their own bathroom. (The overwhelming winner was something called a Toilet Saber, and... it's much easier to use than the usual style of plunger, actually.)
She searches "best potato peeler" and "best pastry blender" and "best standing desk" and it seems so obvious, right, but she does it for literally everything and the average quality of things I own has gone way, way up since I started taking 5 minutes to search "best yoga socks" and "best cuticle trimmers" and then going to buy whatever it is.
Her research skills go into overdrive when it comes to big purchases; she's the one who researched our sublimation printer and found the desk I currently use. If there's an extremely passionate subreddit out there about the thing she wants to buy, she'll find it and then read half a dozen reviews.
I cannot stress enough how much she does this. About. Everything. And how much everything we own is better as a result.
It's amazing, honestly.

With Clean Air Lawn Care Marietta, Georgia | Roswell, Georgia | Alpharetta, Georgia, you can trust that your lawn will stay green and healthy without the negative effects of traditional mowing methods.
Choosing the Right Electric Lawn Mower in Marietta
1. Battery-Powered vs. Corded Models
Electric lawn mowers come in two primary types: battery-powered and corded. Battery-powered models offer the freedom to mow without being tethered to an outlet, making them ideal for larger yards. Corded models, while requiring an extension cord, provide consistent power without the need for battery recharging. Clean Air Lawn Care Marietta, Georgia | Roswell, Georgia | Alpharetta, Georgia, utilizes top-tier battery-powered electric mowers to ensure optimal results for every lawn.
2. Cutting Width and Height Adjustments
When selecting an electric lawn mower in Marietta, consider the cutting width and height adjustment options. Our team at Clean Air Lawn Care Marietta, Georgia | Roswell, Georgia | Alpharetta, Georgia, uses high-quality equipment that ensures precision cutting tailored to your lawn's specific requirements.

The best pubic hair trimmers are deeply individual devices. Your ideal trimmer depends on the result you want—be it a tidying up, full shave, or light snipping. Luckily, there are a ton of great options on the market today to take care of whatever hair situation you're working with. After you've settled on the right trimmer for you, the other thing you'll want need is time. “The expression ‘slow is smooth, and smooth is fast’ is very apropos to shaving the pubic area,” says Ryan Turner, MD, a board-certified NYC dermatologist and co-founder of TRNR Skin. “While trimming or shaving the scrotum [in particular] isn’t rocket science, I wouldn’t recommend doing it when you’re in a rush. Proper prep, and taking your time, will yield the best results.” Read on to see our top picks—along with everything else you need to know about trimming your hedges. The Best Pubic Hair Trimmers for Men, At a GlanceLooking for Something Specific?AccordionItemContainerButtonThe Best Pubic Hair Trimmer Overall: Happy Nuts Lumberjack Electric Hair TrimmerHappy NutsLumberjack Electric Hair TrimmerWhy we love it: While Happy Nuts already had a dedicated ball trimmer (called “The Ballber”, it’s worth noting), their newer body hair trimmer is my go-to for dedicated nether-area aesthetics. I’m inclined to tell you that you don’t need a dedicated trimmer for your balls, hence it’s a good consolidation to have one that tackles your testicles as well as the rest of your body hair. I always say to lean into the tool you require more readily: If you first need a trimmer for back hair and body hair, then get one that also manages pubes just fine. However, if you care a lot about having a dedicated mons-pubis manager—and one that tackles body hair with equal aplomb—then The Lumberjack here will keep you tidy.In terms of function, this one cuts close enough for a smooth result across your mons, but that first attachable and length-adjustable guard provides just enough buffer for your ballsack so that you don’t get nicked along the way. Add to that, its waterproofness, long battery life, and no-slip grip, and you have a terrific device that takes all the stress out of groin upkeep. The Best Trimmer for Sensitive Skin: The Lawn Mower 4.0ManscapedThe Lawn Mower 4.0Why we love it: This electric trimmer comes highly recommended by sexologist and sex educator Lilithfoxx, who loves that it's "designed with men’s grooming in mind, but still versatile enough for all genders." Its blades are made of rust-proof ceramic instead of metal, which cuts down on irritation (and means you likely won't need to replace the blades as frequently!), making this a solid pick if you've got sensitive skin. It also boasts some nifty quality-of-life features like a wireless charging dock, a travel-lock function so it won't spring to life in your suitcase, and a built-in LED spotlight so you can see what you're doing, even in low light conditions. The Best Precision Trimmer: Bikini Trimmer & ShaverPanasonicBikini Trimmer & ShaverWhy we love it: "For those who want a smaller, more portable option, the Panasonic Bikini Shaper and Trimmer is fantastic," Lilithfoxx says. It's great for getting into nooks and crannies, and its petite profile makes it a handy travel companion. Whether you're shaving thick hair or just cleaning up some strays, the four attachments in this kit should have you covered, even if you've got sensitive skin—its hypoallergenic blades and rounded edges help it minimize irritation. The Best Electric Shaver for Pubic Hair: Philips Norelco OneBlade Intimate SkinProtect Trimmer and ShaverPhilips NorelcoOneBlade Intimate SkinProtect Trimmer and ShaverWhy we love it: If what you want is a skin-close shave without the worry of a sharp cartridge razor, then stick with this electric shaver. "There’s a reason for OneBlade being one of the most popular trimmers in the world right now," says sexologist Sofie Roos: "It does it all." Like all other OneBlades, this one transforms into a trimmer with a single attachment, should you simply want to manage a light overgrown lawn. This particular model also offers ample guardrails between each tooth to prevent nicking and tugging. Maybe most impressive of all is how quiet it runs. "It's perfect if you need to sneak into the bathroom for some last-minute pubic trimming when your partner is in the house," says Roos. The Best Ball Trimmer: Balls Archibald TrimmerWhy we love it: If you want one dedicated ball trimmer, make it Balls’ trimmer, which includes a silicone bracelet to prevent dropping it, an ergonomic design, and no-slip handle, and an adjustable guard attachment with various trimming intervals. On top of all that, it has tightly spaced teeth, which help you avoid nicking and cutting, and a generous runtime that gives our top prize winner a run for its jewels. Use it for your balls, certainly, but for the rest of your groin, too. (Heads up: At the time of publication, the only color in stock is pink, but the function is 100% the same.)The Best Beard-to-Balls Trimmer: Braun All-in-One Series 9 Trimmer 9400BraunAll-in-One Series 9 Trimmer 9400Why we love it: Should you want an all-in-one grooming device (beard trimmer included), then make it Braun’s. Swap between the body groomer and face groomer attachments to manage coarser hair with thoughtfully-close-together teeth. No nicks, no cuts, and the device allows for adjustable trimming so that you can let your pubes be as bushy (or trimmed) as you please. Plus, the fact that you get a separate head for this one makes it easy to be church-and-state with your beard vs. body hair upkeep—though I still suggest a good hot water and soap rinse after each use down south. The Most Ergonomic Pubic Hair Trimmer: Panasonic Body Groomer (ER-GK80-S Model)PanasonicBody Groomer (ER-GK80-S Model)Why we love it: The best back hair shaver and manscaper in the game, Panasonic’s Body Groomer offers a vast range of custom trimming lengths, and the unique ability to trim inside any odd crevice, at any odd angle (thanks to its vertically arranged teeth). It’s great for spot-checking tall pubes or just generally grazing over the upper centimeter of overgrown hedges. It’s not my first pick for groin upkeep of all the devices on this list, but it is my first pick for chest and back hair maintenance (especially self-administered back hair trimming). So if that’s what you need foremost, then this one is a great investment that will serve you quite well below the belt, too.The Best Bush Whacker for Ample Pubic Hair: Wahl PeanutWhy we love it: If your pubes are like a woody thicket, or vastly overgrown, then it’s a good time to introduce the peanut. This tool is foremost a hair clipper, but its small size and serious muscle (plus its portability) make it an easy add-on for your dopp kit, a great weekend warrior for travel, or just a terrific tackler of the shrubby mons pubis. (I would avoid using it on the balls, at least flush on the skin; it’s blades are not spaced taut enough for that.)What to Consider When Buying a Pubic Hair TrimmerIf you’re in the market for a pubes trimmer, here are some criteria that our experts recommend you consider:Buffered guard or buffered teethAccordionItemContainerButtonA good trimmer should “come close to the skin while still having a design that minimizes the risk of cutting yourself,” Roos says. Whether you want one product that can handle your beard, body, and balls, or you want a dedicated device for your junk, make sure you have that extra layer of defense on the blade before mowing it over the loose skin on your shaft and sack.AccordionItemContainerButtonYou’re probably gonna use this thing fairly regularly, so it may as well feel good in your hand. “A trimmer with a comfortable grip and a lightweight design will be easier to maneuver,” Lilithfoxx says, “especially when working in harder-to-reach areas and for extended periods of time.”AccordionItemContainerButtonA good trimmer should ideally be usable in the shower or at the sink, so you’ll want one that’s at least splashproof, if not fully waterproof. It’s easier to clean a trimmer (which you should be doing regularly) if it’s waterproof, too.AccordionItemContainerButton“Since it can take some time to really remove all pubes, you should also aim for a trimmer with a great battery life so you can finish in one session,” says Roos. Most of our picks last at least half an hour per charge, but some will keep on trucking for 60 or even 90 minutes at a stretch. How to Shave Your Balls“It’s easiest to shave skin that is taut, which the scrotum decidedly isn’t,” Dr. Turner explains. “However, that doesn’t mean you want the scrotum to be tight when shaving, as it might be when you’re cold, for instance.” Here’s how he explains to go through the motions—and it starts with an awareness of a certain muscle in that area. So, you’ve got the cremaster muscle (that muscle you can sense internally, which raises and lowers the testes). Dr. Turner says this muscle helps regulate the balls’ temperature and promotes healthy sperm. “When the cremaster contracts, the scrotum becomes more textured and wrinkled, which will make shaving more difficult. I’d recommend shaving in the shower or just outside it. In addition to helping to soften coarse pubic hair, warm water will help relax the cremaster muscle. This will leave the skin smooth and make it easier to manipulate the scrotum as you shave.”How to Shave Your PubesBalls aside, how do you approach shaving the rest of your pubes? “Whatever you do, if it’s your first time shaving this area, you have to debulk most of the hair before going straight for the razor,” Dr. Turner says. “It’s just like a traditional haircut—if you’re going for a buzz cut after having a lot of length, you’ll need to use scissors to cut the hair down to a length that the other blades can manage easily.”Dr. Turner says to first trim the hair as short and as close to the skin as you can. Then, shower and cleanse the area before you shave. “Choose a very hydrating and lubricating shaving cream,” he adds. Take things slowly, and shave with the grain of hair growth (if possible, at those odd angles); this will prevent ingrown hairs better than if you shave against the grain of growth since those pubes tend to be extra curly and coarse. For the balls, be sure to heed Dr. Turner’s advice from above. After shaving, make sure to apply a breathable layer of moisturizer, “to help repair the skin barrier from the mechanical exfoliation of the shaving process,” says Dr. Turner. “Moisturizing can also help to reduce friction that can further irritate. In fact, you might want to additionally consider an anti-chafing stick or balm to lubricate this sensitive area.”What Does Body Hair Do?It’s worth understanding the role of body hair in the first place—just in case you want to factor in anything beyond pure aesthetics. “One of the purposes of pubic hair specifically is to help reduce friction during intercourse as hair passes over hair, acting as a ‘dry lubricant,’” says Dr. Turner. Body hair can also help regulate your body temperature, and Dr. Turner adds that it can also serve as a layer of protection against the outside world, “acting as a line of defense against potentially harmful bacteria”—like soft non-barbed wire coating your skin. The Benefits of Choosing an Electric Lawn Mower in Marietta
When it comes to maintaining a pristine lawn in Marietta, choosing the right equipment is crucial. One of the most eco-friendly and efficient options available today is the electric lawn mower. At Clean Air Lawn Care - Lawn Maintenance Boise, Eagle, Meridian, Nampa, we believe in promoting sustainable practices that benefit both the environment and homeowners. In this blog post, we’ll explore why an electric lawn mower marietta is an excellent choice for Marietta residents and how it aligns with sustainable lawn care practices.
Tumblr media
Why Choose an Electric Lawn Mower?
Electric lawn mowers have gained popularity in recent years, and for good reason. They offer several advantages over traditional gas-powered mowers, including environmental benefits, reduced maintenance, and cost savings. Here are some compelling reasons to make the switch:
1. Environmentally Friendly
Gas-powered mowers contribute significantly to air pollution, releasing harmful emissions that negatively impact the environment. In contrast, electric lawn mowers produce zero emissions during operation. By using an electric mower in Marietta, you’re contributing to cleaner air and a healthier community.
2. Quiet Operation
One of the standout features of electric lawn mowers is their quiet operation. Unlike noisy gas mowers, electric mowers produce minimal noise, allowing you to maintain your lawn without disturbing neighbors or disrupting the peaceful atmosphere of your neighborhood.
3. Low Maintenance
Electric mowers have fewer moving parts compared to gas mowers, which means less maintenance and fewer repairs. You won’t have to worry about changing oil, replacing spark plugs, or dealing with fuel storage. This makes them a convenient choice for busy homeowners in Marietta.
4. Cost-Effective
Although the upfront cost of an electric lawn mower might be higher than a gas-powered one, the long-term savings are significant. You’ll save money on fuel and maintenance over time, making it a budget-friendly option in the long run.
Features to Look for in an Electric Lawn Mower
When shopping for an electric lawn mower in Marietta, it’s essential to consider specific features to ensure you’re getting the best value for your investment. Here are some key features to look for:
1. Battery Life
If you opt for a cordless electric lawn mower, check the battery life to ensure it’s sufficient to cover your lawn in a single charge. Some models offer interchangeable batteries, allowing you to extend the runtime if needed.
2. Cutting Width
The cutting width determines how much grass the mower can cut in one pass. A wider cutting width can save time, especially if you have a larger lawn.
3. Adjustable Cutting Heights
Look for mowers with adjustable cutting heights to cater to different grass types and seasonal changes. This feature ensures your lawn stays healthy and well-manicured year-round.
4. Lightweight Design
A lightweight electric mower is easier to maneuver, especially in tight spaces or on uneven terrain. This is particularly important for homeowners with intricate landscaping.
Why Marietta Homeowners Should Consider Electric Lawn Mowers
Marietta’s climate and community make it an ideal location for adopting eco-friendly lawn care practices. With warm summers and a focus on sustainability, electric lawn mowers are a perfect fit for the area. Here’s how they align with the needs of Marietta homeowners:
1. Adaptable to Marietta’s Climate
Electric lawn mowers perform exceptionally well in Marietta’s warm weather, ensuring a clean cut even in dense or fast-growing grass. Their consistent performance makes them a reliable choice for maintaining your yard.
2. Supports Sustainable Initiatives
Marietta residents are increasingly embracing green practices, and using an electric mower is an excellent way to contribute to these efforts. By reducing your carbon footprint, you’re helping preserve the natural beauty of the area for future generations.
3. Perfect for Residential Areas
The quiet operation of electric mowers makes them ideal for residential neighborhoods in Marietta. You can mow your lawn early in the morning or late in the evening without worrying about disturbing your neighbors.

2. Mow During Cooler Hours
To prevent overheating and achieve the best results, mow your lawn during cooler parts of the day, such as early morning or late afternoon.
3. Clean the Mower Regularly
Keep the blades and undercarriage clean to maintain efficiency and prolong the life of your mower. Remove grass clippings and debris after each use.
4. Store Properly
