Will never stop thinking about how Leo, all alone in an endless void and being beaten again and again and again by the only other living thing around, still finds comfort in that space. The situation he was in was completely hopeless, and in any other circumstances he would not have escaped, at least not fast enough to save him from permanent (or even fatal) damage, be it physical or mental.

And yet, despite the bleakness of his situation, despite the agony and helplessness, all he needs is one glance at a crumbled photograph, one glance to remember his family, and that’s enough of a reason for him to smile.

Maybe that’s why his powers center around manipulating space - because no matter how much space is between them, no matter how dire his own situation may be, just the thought of his family, alive and okay, is enough to give Leo hope.

Before I go to sleep I leave you all with this piece of advice: sometimes you don't actually have to answer big political questions, sometimes you can just say "I am not smart enough to know that, I just know the small things I do to help." Like you can often times completely avoid making a fool of yourself if you just say you don't know.

I think the funniest possible way to view Astro Bot is that everything we see is how Astro Bot sees the world. By which I mean all the characters are not, in fact, little robot dudes, but the full, complete characters all from their own video games, and Astro Bot just views them as looking like bots.

I dunno about you, but I find that idea HILARIOUS. You've got Conner Cyberlife trying to analyze the shit out of John Dark Souls, who's about to get into an arm-wrestling competition with Aloy. Kratos is asking if anyone has seen his boy. Octodad is standing awkwardly thinking "they don't know I'm a cephalopod" while Ratchet is chatting him up thinking this is completely normal. Nathan has somehow fucked up everything and Fall Guy is involved. Traveler From Journey is chirping to get everyones attention on the boss appearing but nobody is listening. Apes are there. It's beautiful.

we know jubilost has piercings but i like to think he has more that we don't see. yes in a horny way but i'm also imagining him sticking his tongue out in disgust and everyone stares for a second because he has a tongue stud. ask him about it and he mostly complains about the healing process, particularly how it restricted his diet(but it prompted him to write about the best and worst foods to eat while healing from a mouth injury, which helped justify the whole thing. or so he claims).

Ahoy! Random long-time follower here. I’ve always wanted to go to Costa Rica and was wondering if you had any recommendations on companies, travel package deals, etc. Anything helps, thanks!

there's so many different ways to vacation in costa rica, so i'm not sure how applicable this info will be to the type of trip you want to do.. but what we do is plan and book our own custom trip.. rather than doing a travel package or going to any all-inclusive places.

like this time around we did 3 days at a lodge in monteverde, 3 days at a lodge right beside arenal volcano, then 5 days at a resort near a city called la fortuna. everything was booked separately.

we used a company called "destination costa rica" to drive us from the airport to the first resort, then again from the final resort back to the airport. i highly recommend them, we've used them all 3 times we've gone to costa rica and they've been great!

to get from monteverde to arenal we used a company called "jeep-boat-jeep". they specialize in taking people across lake arenal, so that's only going to be helpful if you're planning on travelling between those two areas.

otherwise, each lodge/resort we stayed in was able to drive us to other resorts, cities, wherever we wanted to go. the taxi's in costa rica are also great! we used them quite a few times to go into town.

as for activities you might want to do, like ziplining, tours, hiking, whatever.. every place i've ever stayed at in costa rica has given us a huge list of activities that you can book, and they'll arrange transportation for you. all you need to do is show up in the lobby at a certain time. we also would just pull up google maps and look at what there was to do nearby lol

hopefully this was the type of answer you were looking for! costa rica's a very modern and safe country, so i find it really simple to plan trips and get around on your own without doing a travel package. and i find most people that work in hospitality, and all the drivers, spoke enough english to communicate just fine.

maybe getting up at the crack of dawn, getting on a train and spending my last money on thrifting and art supplies in another city will fix me 🤔

#the thrift shops open at 10am and i have several locations i could go to all over the city...#taking the tram... looking at things buying things... craft and art supplies homegoods clothes... just like old times #when i lived there and could have that any day of the week after classes were over #or on the weekends when i'd wake up early fresh and rested clean my entire apartment and then travel all over the city for fleamarkets #and other fun activities... oh i miss it so. even though my apartment was shitty and some of the college classes gave me hella anxiety #it was a good time. had my own 4 walls to come home to at the end of the day. could do my grocery shopping in peace in the grody little aldi #a few blocks down and listen to my music as much as i wanted 🙏 cook my own meals. experiment with new food and spices #curl up infront of the tv on my big comfy sofa and take the best naps ever #I MISS IT SO MUCH WAAAHHHHH
