5 Essential Tips for Sauna Maintenance at Your Home
Having a sauna at home is a true luxury that offers numerous benefits for both your physical and mental well-being. To ensure that your sauna continues to provide the utmost enjoyment and relaxation, proper maintenance is key.
In this blog post, we will share 5 essential tips to help you maintain your home sauna effectively so you can continue to experience the benefits of the melbourne sauna experience possible.
Regular Cleaning and Sanitising
One of the most important aspects of sauna maintenance is regular cleaning and sanitising. Due to the heat and humidity inside the sauna can become a breeding ground for bacteria and fungi if not cleaned regularly. Use a mild sauna cleaner and a soft cloth to wipe down the benches, walls, and floor after each use. Be sure to clean any spills or stains immediately to prevent them from becoming more difficult to remove later.
Proper Ventilation
Ensuring proper ventilation in your sauna is crucial for maintaining a comfortable and hygienic environment. Make sure that the vents are clear of any obstructions and that they are functioning properly. Proper ventilation helps remove excess moisture and prevent mould and mildew. It also helps to circulate fresh air, allowing you to enjoy a more pleasant and healthier sauna experience.
Regular Inspections
Performing regular inspections of the best sauna Melbourne is essential for identifying and addressing any potential issues. Check for any signs of wear and tear, such as cracks, loose boards, or malfunctioning heaters. It's important to address these issues promptly to prevent further damage and ensure the safety of your sauna. If you are uncertain about any repairs, it's best to consult a professional to avoid any potential risks.
Heater Maintenance
The heater is the heart of your sauna, so proper maintenance is essential to ensure its longevity and optimal performance. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for cleaning and maintenance of the heater. Regularly check the heating elements, thermostat, and controls to ensure they function properly. If you notice any strange odours or fluctuations in temperature, it's essential to have a professional inspect and repair the heater.
Protecting the Wood
Infra Saunas are typically made of wood, which requires proper care and maintenance to preserve its beauty and durability. Avoid using harsh cleaning chemicals or abrasive materials that may damage the wood. Instead, use a mild soap and water solution or a specially formulated sauna wood cleaner. Regularly apply sauna wood oil or sealant to protect the wood from moisture and maintain its natural appearance.
Conclusion
Owning a home sauna provides a beautiful opportunity for relaxation and rejuvenation. By following these 5 essential tips for sauna maintenance, you can ensure that your sauna remains in top condition and continues to provide you with the best sauna Melbourne experience possible. Remember to clean and sanitise regularly, ensure proper ventilation, conduct regular inspections, maintain the heater, and protect the wood. With proper maintenance, your home sauna will continue to be a source of enjoyment and wellness for years to come.

Discovering the Allure of Lash Extensions in Melbourne - Eyecandy lashes
Lash extensions have taken the beauty industry by storm, becoming a go-to treatment for those wanting to enhance their eyes effortlessly. In Melbourne, a city known for its vibrant culture and fashion-forward trends, lash extensions are not just a luxury; they are a beauty staple. Hereâs what you need to know about this fabulous trend.
What Are Lash Extensions?
Lash extensions are synthetic fibers attached to your natural eyelashes to create a fuller, longer look. They come in various lengths, thicknesses, and styles, allowing for a customized appearance that enhances your unique beauty. Whether you desire a subtle enhancement or a dramatic effect, lash extensions can cater to all preferences.
Types of Lash Extensions
Understanding the different types of lash extensions available can help you make an informed decision about what will work best for you:
Classic Extensions: A single extension is applied to each natural lash, creating a natural, elegant look. Ideal for those who want to enhance their lashes without going overboard.
Volume Extensions: Multiple lightweight extensions are applied to each natural lash, resulting in a fuller, fluffier appearance. Perfect for those who desire a more dramatic and voluminous look.
Hybrid Extensions: A mix of classic and volume techniques, offering a balanced look that combines the best of both worlds. This option is great for those who want to maintain a natural appearance while adding a bit of drama.
Benefits of Lash Extensions
Lash extensions provide numerous advantages that can enhance your beauty routine:
Time-Saving: With lash extensions, you can say goodbye to mascara and eyelash curlers. Your eyes will look stunning 24/7, saving you precious time during your morning routine.
Customizable: Whether you prefer a natural look or something more glamorous, lash extensions can be tailored to fit your style and personality.
Long-Lasting: When applied correctly, lash extensions can last for several weeks. Regular touch-ups help maintain their fullness and appearance, allowing you to enjoy your beautiful lashes longer.
Confidence Boost: Enhanced lashes can significantly boost your confidence. Youâll feel more put-together, even on the busiest days.
Aftercare Tips
To ensure the longevity of your lash extensions, proper aftercare is essential:
Avoid Water for the First 24 Hours: This allows the adhesive to cure properly. Steer clear of steam and saunas as well.
Be Gentle: Avoid rubbing your eyes or pulling on the lashes. Use a soft brush to gently fluff them if needed.
Use Oil-Free Products: Oil-based makeup removers and skincare products can weaken the adhesive bond, leading to premature lash loss.
Regular Maintenance: Schedule touch-up appointments every 2-3 weeks to keep your lashes looking fresh and full.
Choosing the Right Salon
Selecting the right salon for your lash extensions is crucial for a successful outcome. Here are some tips to find the best fit:
Read Reviews: Look for salons with positive customer feedback and before-and-after photos of their work.
Check Qualifications: Ensure the technicians are certified and experienced in lash extension application.
Ask Questions: Donât hesitate to inquire about the types of lashes used, the application process, and aftercare instructions.
Conclusion
Lash extensions are a fantastic way to enhance your natural beauty and simplify your daily routine. With the vibrant beauty scene in Melbourne, youâll find many skilled professionals ready to help you achieve the perfect lash look. Whether you opt for classic, volume, or hybrid extensions, youâll be amazed at how much of a difference they can make. Embrace the allure of lash extensions and enjoy the confidence that comes with them!

Sense of Self
Located behind a graffiti-splattered door in Collingwood, Sense of Self is a day spa and bathhouse inspired by bathhouses around the world. The brainchild of filmmaker Mary Minas and botanist Freya Berwick, Sense of Self strips back the spa experience to its roots with a 'no bulls**t' approach to wellness.
Taking cues from Roman-style bathhouses, the double storey warehouse Sense of Self is split into a massage and mindfulness studio on the upper level and a modern day spa and communal bathhouse below. The latter houses a large mosaic tiled mineral bath, Finnish sauna and cold plunge pool.
Little Co
Little Co is a boutique spa with a focus on holistic wellness. Its interior is filled with plants and eco-friendly products, and it eschews clinical white spaces in favour of earthy tones.
The ethos is simple: treat your skin from the inside out with a personalised approach, whether thatâs improving digestion and liver health or just taking some time to slow down. Treatments are divided into âRemedyâ and âRitualâ â with the former a deeply nourishing customised facial that leaves you feeling relaxed, nurtured and empowered, while the latter is a full mind and body experience designed to renew much more than your complexion.
Their Remedy Facials are tailored to your skin type, while their Rituals involve full body massage and meditative soundscapes. They also offer a range of specialised treatments that target specific skin concerns, including rosacea, acne and sensitive skin.
Me Skin & Body
A good facial helps remove dead skin cells, hydrates and rejuvenates the skin. It also eliminates toxins and promotes blood circulation to the skin.

What Are the Different Types of Saunas and Their Benefits?
Saunas have been used for centuries for their relaxing and rejuvenating benefits. They provide a heat therapy experience that can improve overall well-being. With several different types of saunas available, it's important to understand the options and their unique benefits. In this article, we will explore the various types of saunas and the advantages they offer, helping you choose the local Infrared Saunas near you in Melbourne for your needs.
Traditional Finnish Sauna:
The traditional Finnish sauna is the most well-known type. It uses a wood-burning stove or an electric heater to heat the sauna room. These saunas provide dry heat and have low humidity levels. The high temperatures promote sweating, detoxification, improved circulation, and relaxation. Finnish saunas are known for their authenticity and deep-rooted tradition.
Infrared Sauna:
Infrared saunas use infrared heaters to emit radiant heat that is absorbed by the body directly. Unlike traditional saunas, infrared saunas provide gentle heat that penetrates deeper into the body, promoting detoxification and relaxation at lower temperatures. Infrared saunas are often preferred by individuals who may find the high temperatures of traditional saunas overwhelming.
Steam Sauna:
Steam saunas, also known as steam rooms, generate humid heat by producing steam through a steam generator or hot water poured onto heated rocks. The warm moisture opens up the pores, promotes sweating, and helps to cleanse the skin. Steam saunas are highly beneficial for respiratory health and can alleviate symptoms of congestion and allergies.
Portable Sauna:
Portable saunas are compact and convenient for home use. These saunas typically consist of a foldable structure or a sauna tent with heating elements. Portable saunas offer the same benefits as traditional saunas, including relaxation and detoxification. They are a more cost-effective option, especially for those with space limitations or prefer the convenience of a portable option.
Infrared and Steam Combination Sauna:
This type of sauna offers the benefits of both infrared and steam saunas. It has infrared panels and a steam generator installed in the sauna room. The combination of infrared heat and steam provides a unique experience, promoting relaxation, detoxification, and enhanced overall well-being. The versatility of this sauna type appeals to those who desire the benefits of both gentle heat and moist humidity.
Himalayan Salt Sauna:
Himalayan salt saunas are gaining popularity for their additional therapeutic benefits. These saunas are lined with Himalayan salt bricks or utilise salt stoves to generate heat. When exposed to heat, the salt releases negative ions, which are believed to have numerous health benefits, including improved respiratory health, stress reduction, and enhanced mood.
Outdoor Sauna:
An outdoor sauna allows you to enjoy the benefits of the best sauna Melbourne therapy while connecting with nature. These saunas are specifically designed for outdoor installation and can be a standalone structure or an addition to your existing landscape. Outdoor saunas provide a peaceful retreat, and the fresh air adds to the overall sauna experience, offering relaxation and an escape from daily routines.
Conclusion:
When it comes to saunas, there are several types to choose from, each offering unique benefits. Whether you prefer the authentic experience of a traditional Finnish sauna, the gentle heat of an infrared sauna, the moist environment of a steam sauna, or the convenience of a portable option, there is a sauna type that suits your needs and preferences. Consider your desired sauna experience, health goals, and available space before selecting the best sauna Melbourne for you. Whichever type you choose, regular sauna use can provide you with numerous health benefits, relaxation, and a soothing escape from the demands of everyday life.

A Brothel is place where you go and pay for having sex. When prostitution became legal in many countries of the world, this business developed tremendously. This business is clearly higher end, where comfort, lavishness and services are based on price. There is lower end too of this business featuring window prostitutes. It all depends on the money; you get service according the money spent. Some top brothels from around the world give best and unimaginable services. They actually make you feel heaven on the earth. They give you a variety of women, where you can choose one. They also mention about the workers available like Australian, African etc. All brothels offer a variety of services and that vary.
Amenities Provided by Top Brothels:

âAbout BEAUTY and wanting to happycry because of it.Â
When I say I fell in love with this Apt Complex in Melbourne, Australia, I really mean it. So much that I shared this video with all my loved ones who would appreciate it. Maybe itâs my coffee high too, but I really wish I could live there. To live in such a small apt but have a bathtub, is something I wish I had in mine. Â
The Cairo Flats were designed by Acheson Best Overend in 1936 and for this reason, the whole building is heritage-listed and protected.Â
â Each apartment was designed to "provide maximum amenity in minimum space for minimum rent".The building's cantilevered external concrete stairs was noted as an unusual innovation.â
Helsinki has very small studio apartments and most of them are terribly designed, probably because some of them used to be bigger apartments but someone someday decided to divide them and make more apartments. Whether the spaces were livable, thatâs another story. Apparently they just could not be bothered.Â
Last month I moved into my new studio apt in Alppila, just above my friendâs Kati and Mimi Studio, Kulma Pala. This was a total coincidence, a happy one at that. This apartment I moved into is clean, with a lot of natural light, renovated, with washing machine, sauna and a washing/drying room. It also has a decent bathroom. What is a decent bathroom for Helsinki studio standards you may ask?
Well, a decent bathroom is one with a toilet, a washing basin and a shower separated.  That is it. The washing machine is a perk I was able to buy out from the last tennant. The space is minimal so I barely fit when I am in there, but then again, there is an actual space for the shower and âme doy por bien servida.â
Before finding this apt, I was looking for a while and found a dream one that at the end fell through due to unforseen circumstances (such as the buidling owners going broke and selling it). After it I looked for more and I thought the worst case scenario was to have the shower ON TOP of the toilet, meaning EVERYTHING gets wet, without even mentioning it could be dangerous. Well, it turns out that THE WORST CASE SCENARIO, is actually a bathroom with NO SHOWER AT ALL.Â
I entered one and when we arrived at the bathroom, the woman showing it very nonchallant said:
âoh and here to take a shower YOU JUST USE THE HAND BIDET , BUT YOU HAVE TO SIT DOWN ON THE TOILET. (as of course, the hand bidet tube is not that long.) On top of this, there was no washing room in the buidling and no chance of connecting a washing machine in the apt.Â
The audacity of these people to be renting this apt in 695 euros/month was staggering.Â
This was not the only apt in Kallio-Alppila I saw in these conditions. There should be a control or a law forbidding this crap.Â
Back to my apt, I still need to nest because due to work I have been living with my mattress on the floor and my stuff in boxes. Soon I will have a break and be able to put my life back in order.Â

MELBOURNE LIFE
Back in Melbourne now enjoying the Aussie life. Sitting on the couch and listening to The Best of UB40 whilst drinking coffee ( made myself) and trading shares...I see my BHP shares are having a good day.
Yesterday I reactivated my Gym membership. Did a Full Body Scan. Came up pretty well although it said I should lose weight. At the moment I
am 70.4 kilos...I aim to race under 68. Way to go. I will cut down on my meals.
Purchased some Amino Acid Powder from the gym. $35. Start the day with a bit of energy.
MEDITATION
We have a special tatami ( Japanese mat ) room here in our Australian home. I did my usual 15 minutes. Used some meditation tunes which are ok. I still have a way to go but I think I am getting better as my focus.
GYM
I used the 12 kilo dumbbells for my arms and shoulders and chest. Actually someone else had pinched the 10 kilos and I was not going to use the baby 7.5 ones.
Did a full session on legs...not easy but I think I have to do more to make my legs stronger
My usual crunches and the like for my stomach. I know this will have little effect regarding reducing fat but I am hoping if I do enough I will make my stomach stronger. We shall see.
Stationary bike....did 25 minutes...pushed it a bit. This machine gives you a graph as you pedal of your heart rate which helps pass the time.
SAUNA..gave myself a treat of 10 minutes in the sauna. That was enough for a first up. Will try for 15 minutes today.
Resting Heart Rate 46 ( a bit better )
Blood Pressure 154/96 ( not so good....maybe making my own meals is causing stress)
REALLY looking forward to getting down to the Beach House at Anglesea to run some hills.

How Do Portable Saunas for Sale Compare to Built-In Options?
In recent years, saunas have become a popular choice for home wellness, offering a range of health benefits from relaxation to detoxification. If youâre considering adding a sauna to your home, you might be torn between two primary options: portable saunas and built-in saunas.
Both have their unique advantages and potential drawbacks. In this blog, letâs explore how portable saunas for sale Melbourne compare to built-in options to help you make an informed decision.
Cost and Budget
Portable Saunas:Â One of the most appealing aspects of portable saunas is their affordability. Generally, portable saunas cost significantly less than built-in models. Prices can range from a few hundred to a couple of thousand dollars, depending on the size, features, and brand. Their lower price point makes them an attractive option for those on a budget or who are trying out the sauna experience for the first time.
Built-In Saunas:Â Built-in saunas, on the other hand, tend to be a substantial investment. Costs can range from several thousand to tens of thousands of dollars. This higher price is attributed to the materials, installation, and customisation options available with built-in saunas. If you have a larger budget and are looking for a permanent addition to your home, a built-in sauna may be worth the investment.
Installation and Space Requirements
Portable Saunas:Â As the name suggests, portable saunas are designed for easy setup and mobility. They typically come in compact, foldable designs that can be assembled and disassembled with minimal effort. Portable saunas are ideal for those who may not have the space for a permanent fixture or who live in rental properties where major modifications arenât feasible.
Built-In Saunas:Â Built-in saunas require a more extensive installation process. They need a dedicated space, whether itâs a spare room, basement, or an outdoor area. Installation often involves construction work and professional help, especially for custom designs. This process can take time and may involve additional costs for renovations or structural modifications.
Size and Customisation
Portable Saunas:Â Portable saunas come in a range of sizes, but they are generally more compact than built-in models. They are designed to fit in smaller spaces and often accommodate one to two people. Customisation options are limited, with most portable saunas offering standard features and sizes.
Built-In Saunas: Built-in best saunas in Melbourne offer greater flexibility in terms of size and customisation. You can design a sauna that fits your specific space requirements and aesthetic preferences. Whether you want a large multi-person sauna or a unique layout with special features, built-in saunas provide more options for tailoring to your needs.
Heating Technology and Performance
Portable Saunas:Â Most portable saunas use infrared heating technology, which heats the body directly rather than the air. This can be more energy-efficient and may heat up faster than traditional saunas. Portable saunas are typically designed to reach and maintain comfortable temperatures, but their heating capacity may be less powerful compared to built-in saunas.
Built-In Saunas:Â Built-in saunas can use either traditional or infrared heating systems, depending on your preference. Traditional saunas use a stove or heater to warm the air, creating a higher humidity environment, while infrared saunas heat the body directly. Built-in saunas often offer more powerful heating options and can provide a more intense and consistent heat experience.
Longevity and Maintenance
Portable Saunas:Â Portable saunas are generally built with lighter materials and may have a shorter lifespan compared to built-in options. They are relatively easy to maintainâusually requiring just regular cleaning of the interior fabric and occasional checks of the heating elements. However, the materials and construction might not withstand heavy use over the long term.
Built-In Saunas:Â Built-in saunas are constructed with durable materials like wood, stone, or tile, making them more robust and long-lasting. They require more extensive maintenance, such as cleaning and checking the heater or stove regularly. The longevity of built-in saunas is generally higher, and with proper care, they can be a lasting addition to your home.
Resale Value and Impact
Portable Saunas:Â Due to their temporary nature, portable saunas may not add significant value to your home. They can be easily moved or sold if you decide to relocate. Their impact on your home is minimal, making them a practical choice for those who prefer flexibility.
Built-In Saunas:Â Built-in saunas can enhance the value of your home, particularly if they are well-designed and integrated into the space. They are seen as a luxury feature that can appeal to potential buyers. However, the return on investment will depend on the overall appeal of the sauna and the market conditions.
Final Words
Choosing between portable and built-in saunas ultimately depends on your budget, space, and long-term goals. Portable saunas for sale Melbourne offer affordability, ease of setup, and flexibility, making them ideal for those who want a sauna without a major commitment. Built-in saunas provide a more permanent, customisable, and high-performance option, but they require a larger investment and more extensive installation.
By considering these factors, you can make an informed decision that best suits your needs and enhances your home wellness experience. Whether you opt for a portable or built-in sauna, both options can provide valuable health benefits and contribute to a relaxing and rejuvenating lifestyle.
