i've always wanted to make a mobian highland cow!!! here she is before i color her in (also fun little story under the cut)

so as most drawings do this one started with a naked sketch, just the overall outline of bessie's body. the curve of her body that clearly showed big naturals but no clothes or anything yet. and my dad walked in as i was drawing her, and i started freaking out and said "I PROMISE IM GONNA PUT CLOTHES ON HER IM NOT DONE YET" and then he stared at me for a bit and i said "okay she DOES look good without clothes but i'm still gonna put clothes on her" and he sighed lmao so my dad is attracted to my cowgirl girlfriend oc

I just had a dark humor au thought (which was more of a quantum leap into the writers' room, bc this seems like a joking pitch) where during the attack on Sammy's ranch, Ben or Darius ends up in the barn and sees one of the Atrociraptors munching on Bessie's calf.

It's one of those things that would be tonally in-line with the dog being eaten in Jaws or The Lost World (Spielberg...), though a little more horrific. Too horrific, in fact, and mean-spirited, but Sammy did drop that verbal mention earlier in what would have been a perfect setup.

Obviously, doing that would have not just been too mean for a kid's show and probably violated some rules or another (which is why I'm sure someone jokingly pitched it), but it would also have required more assets...you would want a distressed Bessie, and one cow probably means other cows, so now you have to animate a bunch of cows, you need your silhouette of a dead calf, all sorts of stuff.

So instead, they just killed Carl.

BACKSTORY:

"Sheriff" of her own little frontier town, Bess was born and raised in a warrior dynasty named the Bighorns, having Minotaur in their blood, they've been protecting the frontier and cattle for close to 200 years. Bess, however, grew up on tales of adventure and comradery, knight dragons, the whole shebang. So she decided to leave when she was 18 and was supposed to be sworn in as sheriff, she even has the badge!

Now, Bess or Bessy as I prefer, walk t' world meetin' fellas who dunno what a gun is, fightin' dragons and beasties, and meetin' studs and sluts ta fill mah needs~

...Gotta go home and talk to Ma and Pa someday, though...

When he told her to make sure he knew it was her knocking, he did not mean to croon 'Besssssssssie' through the door crack. He opens it with a start, squinting down at her, cow ears secured and black spotted print of a tank top snug on his chest.

"Seriously? AND you're late."

The second the door is swung open she's slipping her way inside, bucking it closed just as seamlessly with the perilous point of a dagger-esque heel once she has passed over the threshold. This pet pastime of his does not cease to bring her endless amounts of joy—the ears in particular tickling some vestigial prey instinct in the less sophisticated parts of her bird brain (evidenced by the piqued pinning of watchful pupils).

"Ten minutes? You must be in real dire straits, huh?"

An arm circles his waist, fingers snagging the base of the beloved tail she vehemently insists on him wearing when his creamy reserves need a thorough tapping—and by that tail she steers him further inside the apartment, smirking with delight all the while.

"I'm not in too big of a rush, though. We've got the whole weekend to ourselves. Isn't that exhilarating?"
