Content warning for mentions of death and crime under the cut.
Format: Heroic Spirit [line "vibes"]
I already wrote a line for this Heroic Spirit but I wanted to include my ideas anyway
Lines I Want To Include For Certain:
Mephistopheles (of course!) [I would die for you. I cannot fathom doing anything else.]
Summer Mephistopheles [meta rejoicing]
Pretender Mephistopheles [Stages 1 and 2: absolute panic and rage; Stage 3: please don't ever do anything like that again!]
Snow Queen ["Perhaps I was always meant to be an Avenger..."]
Kiichi Hogen/Demon King Oda Nobunaga ["There's someone like me here...? 🥹"]
Sessyoin Kiara/Kama [something downtrodden about love, idk ¯\_(ツ)_/¯]
Ashiya Douman [(breaking bad voice) "you are not a clown, you're not capable of being a clown"]
Oberon [something vague about being willing to destroy everything for someone you love (I may be fundamentally misunderstanding Oberon tho)]
Lines I'm Not Sure of Because I Feel Like Making Too Many Would Be Annoying
Pygmalion [bonding over how much they freaking LOVE their respective partners]
Moriarty ["aw HELL yeah, crime grandpa is here"]
Oda Nobukatsu [(self-appointed) protective older sibling instincts activate!! ...only for chaos to immediately be brushed off...]
Elizabeth [friend!! friend who deserves all the kindness!! can i hear you sing, please?]
Jeanne Lily [Mom Mode Activated™️]
Alexander ["you are also my little brother now, I've decided"]
Babbage [views him as a mentor figure bc chaos spent waaaay too much time on the computer before becoming a Master]
Lancelot (Berserker)/Henry Jekyll/Antonio Salieri ["I am just... so fucking sorry."]
Gorgon [some heartfelt shit where chaos makes a point to call her "Medusa" instead]
Taira-no-Kagekiyo [I'd want her to view Yoshitsune as a mom figure but I don't know enough about her to know if that's locked behind Stage 3 or not]
The Calvin Fischoeder Pseudoservant of John King Fisher who I made for an elaborate AU
Putting together a list of ideas for some of Foreigner!Bruce’s My Room Servant lines.
Would anyone like to see them?

Day 737
Tumblr media
Galatea: Berserker class, Galatea. If you have summoned me, you must know the same love as Pygmalion and I, correct?
Kris: nooope. pygsy was down to clown when you were still a rock, I actually waited until we’ll after Jeanne was a person and let her make her own decisions.
Galatea, wielding her chisel dangerously: are you claiming yourself above Pygmalion?
Jeanne, wielding her Everything dangerously: Are you threatening my girlfriend?
Kris: haaahh… um, Jeanne? how about instead of murdering the new arrival, why don’t you take her on a tour? away from me and my frail stabbable body?
Jeanne: Great idea! We can start at the Burning Room.

Idk if you mind answering , but could you talk more about the setting? I think the concept is pretty cool.
Boyfriend of Steel's setting is kind of like Gundam 00's, in the specific way that I like space elevators
jokes aside it's all pretty vague and subject to change. some elements I keep finding myself coming back to, so I'll scribble those below the break
assorted rambles ahead!
earth
the human race lives on, with only five thousand recognized humans and a couple billion "living assets" left on earth. mining has been rendered impossible following centuries of ultra-complex construction, leaving earth with a second crust of compressed rubble and a third crust of incomprehensibly massive cities, built-upon former streets still haphazardly lit by power grids that are religiously maintained
because of the megalopolis layer creating difficulty in mining, most metal is either salvaged from the labyrinthine subterranean cities or pulled directly from space, as "fresh metal"
noble clans make up the five thousand recognized earth humans, with the others being used as bargaining chips and currency. oddly enough, there's no war on earth because the noble clans signed a treaty to stop their turf wars after a cataclysmic attempt to destabilize part of the megalopolis resulted in widespread apocalypse
in short, earth is a miserable bodyfarm of a planet run by feudal nobles who import metal from space and salvage the rest. it's got a space elevator and a bunch of colonies in orbit
other places
life isn't so horrible everywhere, with orbital colonies maintaining more reasonable standards of life (as would be required for producing viable soldiers) and various other civilizations existing throughout the solar system
there's an overgrown flesh computer on the moon, but it's so thoroughly cordoned off by treaties that nobody actually knows what to think of it.
necrosurgery
following a military arms race, electronics and computing were pushed to their limit in orbital and stellar warfare. while they're still in common use, they're so easily taken out that most militaries have moved to necrosurgical engineering (the process of grafting corpses into organic computers and weaponry) for important computing. this is where we start getting into the setting's version of "minovsky physics" and if you can accept this premise, most of the other stuff works
the story goes that pygmalions were developed on accident originally, when human fetal cells began to scaffold in unexpected ways in proximity to corpses. fast forward a great deal of time and you've got empires sacrificing millions to create gigantic psychic vampire insects, pairing them with pilots who form an emotional link
basilisks take the place of computer viruses for flesh matrices, which is part of the reason a pygmalion is, by design, completely isolated.
without a paired pilot, a pygmalion is just a human mind that communicates with nobody else and is left to fester on its own. when this happens, they tend to lose touch with reality, if not losing their sense of self entirely. the latter type behave like flesh-hungry insects and can gradually empty planets if left uncontrolled
a true pygmalion is actually a symbiotic entity formed by a pilot and their mecha. the mass produced variety don't have long-term pilots and tend to use drugs to ensure that the pilot is in the same berserker state as their mecha. true pygmalions can subsist off their pilot's blood and love, but mass produced ones need to consume flesh en masse
all of them tend to be plated in livery and metal, but because they're bug-shaped and need a full range of motion to fight effectively, that can prove a bit difficult
what are the gijinka things
a pygmalion creates a psychic link with its pilot and begins to project images into their mind. in return, the pilot can communicate with them. if the pilot and the pygmalion are united for long enough, the pygmalion can create sensory hallucinations of themselves in any form they please
are the ones I posted "actually" boys? not necessarily. pygmalions only really maintain gender for interfacing with humans, and when they're communicating with each other, they tend to care more about their lineages and loyalties
their names are also self-chosen, although their sponsors (the factions which create them via necrosurgery) tend to offer suggestions. some hold their names with more importance than other, and the naming convention of mythological figures is very popular among earth nobles
a pygmalion is, at its core, a weapon which can feel and hold relationships with other guns

We're after the drawing-room type. An English girl, looking like a schoolteacher, is apt to get into a cab with you and, to your surprise, she'll probably pull a man's pants open.
- Alfred Hitchcock on his infamous ‘Hitchcock blonde’ typecasting as told to Francois Truffaut
Alfred Hitchcock relished placing his ice blonde heroines in jeopardy. He broke them down emotionally, and even physically. Preoccupied with manipulating their screen images - dictating the tiniest details of costume, coiffure, makeup and shoes - Hitchcock eventually strove to control their private lives as well.
"I always believe in following the advice of the playwright (Victorien) Sardou," Hitchcock once confessed. "He said, 'Torture the women!' The trouble today is that we don't torture women enough."
Tumblr media
The Hitchcock Blonde reached her apex in three films with Grace Kelly (Dial 'M' for Murder, Rear Window, To Catch a Thief). Kelly epitomized his idée fixe: the ice goddess who could unleash unexpected flames of passion. The camera, standing in for Hitchcock, clearly worships her.
Alfred Hitchcock was obsessed with possession. A reoccurring motif throughout his films is of a man possessing a woman, or in the case of Vertigo: a spirit possessing a woman, ending up with a male trying to possess her.
Hitchcock's attitude toward this ideal darkened after what he perceived as betrayals: Kelly's abandoning acting to marry Prince Rainier of Monaco; and Vera Miles' opting for pregnancy rather than starring in Vertigo, which Hitchcock had planned as her breakthrough role.
Vertigo was his most autobiographical work. James Stewart played Scottie, a man obsessed with Kim Novak's Madeleine, who was herself haunted. After her death, Scottie forces an unwilling second woman (Judy, also played by Novak) to duplicate every aspect of the dead woman's attire and hairstyle. The plot creepily echoed Hitchcock's domination of his female stars. Vertigo's recurring shot of a tightly wound coil of ash-blonde hair atop Novak's head encapsulates the theme of obsession. It's a hypnotic vortex into which Stewart (or Hitchcock) could fall and disappear forever.
In Psycho, Hitchcock treated his blonde viciously, killing off Janet Leigh's pert embezzler less than halfway through the film. The shower murder was widely regarded as the most shocking act in film history up to that point.
Tumblr media
With Tippi Hedren, star of The Birds and Marnie, his obsession finally spun out of control, like the berserk carousel at the climax of Strangers on a Train. He discovered Hedren in a TV commercial. A model, she had no plans for an acting career. Signing her to an exclusive contract, he launched his most intensive and intrusive campaign to play Pygmalion, as detailed in Donald Spoto's biography The Dark Side of Genius.
Hitchcockian men would go to any length to gain possession of their female leads. In Marnie, where Mark (Sean Connery) blackmails Marnie (Tippi Hedren) into marriage and rapes her during their honeymoon. In her memoir, Hedren writes that it was a widespread belief that, “the rape scene that had driven Hitchcock to make Marnie in the first place, that a man taking his frigid, unattainable bride by force was Hitchcock’s fantasy about me.”
Hitchcock’s need to control Hedren extended the instructions he gave on set: “Do not touch The Girl.” A simple conversation with a male cast or crew member would result in Hedren receiving an icy reaction from Hitchcock, or vulgar limerick recited. And when Hedren rejected Hitchock’s touch, he answered in two ways: forcing himself on her and then refusing to let her work.
Hedren writes:
“I’ve never gone into detail about this, and I never will. I’ll simply say that he suddenly grabbed me and put his hands on me. It was sexual, it was perverse, and it was ugly, and I couldn’t have been more shocked and more repulsed. The harder I fought him, the more aggressive he became. Then he started adding threats, as if he could do anything to me that was worse than what he was trying to do at that moment.”
Tumblr media
Hitchcock followed through with his threat of trying to ruin her career by not casting her in any more of his films after Marnie, while at the same time not letting her out of her contract. A classic case of a rejected man: if he couldn’t have her, no one could.
More so than any other artist, Hitchcock isn’t only given possession of the themes and actors inside the frames of his own films, but also other peoples’ films, real life events, and actual people. I expect Hitchcock would be very happy about his ability to possess, even if it’s only grammatical. His birds. His suspense. His Marnie. But also: Hitchcockian suspense; a Hitchcockian conspiracy; Hitchcockian composition. Hitchcock blondes. It would make sense to refer to hair dyed an Yves Klein blue a Klein blue, but a Hitchcock blonde? Hmmm. Many film historians and critics would say that Hitchcock did not invent the blonde; Jean Harlow did.
**Photos: Grace Kelly and Tippi Hedren, two of the archetypal ‘Hitchcock blonde’.

(re: Fandom Meme) B, D, N, P, R, Y ??? (also if you feel like answering T again about anything else pls do (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.) (also let the record know that your first answer was *chef kiss* wonderful and should've been canon imo (╯▽╰ ))
B - A pairing you initially didn’t consider but someone changed your mind
Felix x fem!Byleth from FE3H... I thought it’d be the same as f!Dimileth (the fandom version of it at least) where the man is like ~~ohhhh I’m a monster I’m so broken ahhh I push people away and go on berserker rages because of my tragic backstory~~ and the woman has to be gentle and kind, the epitome of femininity (despite being a mercenary who had been trained to kill since she was 11...), basically put himself above her on so many levels and the onus is on her to ~~fix him~~~...but apparently not??? The fancontent is so gorgeous and has them as equals, both lonely people who’ve had their childhood taken away from them, both who’ve closed themselves off from the world (or in Byleth’s case, has never known how to open herself up to it), both of them seeing themselves in each other, both taking it upon themselves to meet each other half-way and from thereon help each other process their past and walk forward into the future...damn man, the kinship and the partnership in this ship... (also it really helps that 1. Felix is awed at Byleth’s swordsmanship and tactical mind and pushes himself to surpass it, forming a foundation for a healthy rivalry 2. the fandom does not forget that Byleth is her own person and not just Felix’s partner *cough* Dimileth *cough* Edeleth *cough*)
D - A pairing you wish you liked but just can’t
Hmmmm well sometimes I wished (in general) that I could actively ship mlm couples, just because there’s so much content for them :)) (don’t get me started on how fandom gravitates towards male characters and mlm ships...lmao someone way back then gave me the excuse that it’s because the actual creators put more effort into their male characters and that they end up becoming more complex and interesting and like *looks at my fandoms where there are just as many girls as guys, just as interesting (if not more so) backstories and dynamics and interactions for the female characters, looks at the sheer number of mlm shippers in those fandoms who squeeze the most out of every insignificant moment for their male characters while ignoring the depth and complexity of the female characters* sure)
N - Name three things you wish you saw more of in your main fandom (or a fandom of choice)
Glee
1. Fanfic with more “out-there” ideas :)) (Don’t get me wrong, there are fanfics that fall far from Glee’s high school/young adult/modern-coming-of-age setting, and even for fics that do fall under those spheres there are some that deal with complex, intricate themes in such an incredible manner or even if not that are just plain enjoyable but like,,, there aren’t enough for my ever-expanding hunger HAHA)(my last couple of fandoms were dark fantasy/sci-fi/whatever The Good Place is so I guess I just got spoiled lmao)
2. More analytical thinking LMAO I guess it just frustrates me that there are so many people in the fandom who take things at face value??? Given how biased the writers are and how shit they are at continuity it really doesn’t make sense to me that so many people take things so literally haha
3. More fanart unu I totally understand though that the fandom isn’t as big as it once was but a girl can dream, you know?
P - Invent a random AU for any fandom (we always need more ideas)
Something that I had wanted to write for Brittana (since 2012!) but never had the brain cells to: a sailor!AU where the characters live on a flat world and they’re trying to sail towards its edge (encountering so many mythical beasts and legends on the way) (may or may not be inspired by C.S. Lewis’ The Voyage of the Dawn Treader haha)
Special mention to this AU since I've used for at least three fandoms by now haha: Pygmalion&Galatea!AU wherein one character creates a statue and her love for it brings it to life :)))
R - A pairing you ship that you don’t think anyone else ships
LMAO I went through Bae Doona’s body of work (what was available of it at least) in 2015 and ended up shipping her character Park Hyun-nam with her best friend (Yoon Jang-mi) in 플란다스의 개 (Barking Dogs Never Bite)...I wrote a very small ficlet of them (I literally had to create the section for them in ao3...and lmao I just checked and I am still the only fic in there HAHA)(please don’t look for my account btw all my fics are so self-indulgent and atrocious huhu) and I also made this gifset of them :))) As far as I know I am literally the only one in the entire world who ships them HAHA
Similar story for her character Ri Bun-hui in 코리아 (As One)...although honestly if it turns out that a decent number of people have seen this movie I’d be surprised that no one else shipped Bun-hui with Hyun Jung-hwa??? Because they??? Tennis table rivals from North Korea and South Korea who have to team up to win at the Olympics??? Jung-hwa trying to get Bun-hui and her team to loosen up??? Them becoming closer??? When the Olympics are over and the North Korea team have to go home, and Jung-hwa chases after the bus and tries to reach for Bun-hui’s hand, realizing that they might never see each other again??? I??? (Just...I had to make this gifset of their hands: when they first meet each other, when one takes the other’s for comfort, the last time their fingers will ever touch...)(Also let’s ignore that it’s a re-telling of real life event akjsndaskj haha)
T - Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending, about anything at all
(Thank you roseate ;u; I’m glad that you agree and are interested with my headcanons ;o;)
Santana’s a trivia nerd and is the type to deep-dive down Wikipedia pages which is why she makes all those obscure references :))) (Also a more specific version of this headcanon, not something that I’d die defending but like,,, something that I won’t let anyone take away from me lmao is that she’s a TV/movie buff, dabbles in comics (specifically, DC and follows character like Wonder Woman, the Birds of Prey, Poison Ivy/Harleyquinn, Batwoman, and Renee Montoya), and started getting a little into theater/musicals after spending time with Kurt and Rachel :))) She also has a record player back in Lima and has a bunch of vinyl records back home (back in high school she’d play a couple of slow songs and just slow dance with Britt in the privacy of their bedrooms uwu)(imagine this scene and this song playing in the background ;u;)
Y - What are your secondhand fandoms (fandoms you aren’t in personally but are tangentially familiar with because your friends/people on your dash are in them)
BTS, because so many of my friends are KPOP fans
Genshin, also because so many of my friends are into it
(The Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation) because my close friend fangirls over them so much and we just exchange anecdotes with me and Glee/Fire Emblem and her and TGDC
Critical Role and My Brother, My Brother and Me podcast because my gf is a huge fan of them :))
Not quite there yet, but I am looking forward to having Dostoevsky’s extended universe as a secondhand fandom HAHA

Interesting two-fold story I’ve got (/ref). It involves a Berserker concept I rejected, and a Berserker concept I thought I’d keep around. That second part is long as fuck, though, so I’m gonna put that under the cut.
So last night, I was toying with the idea of myself as a Servant. I figured a really cool idea to explore would be a Berserker version whose Madness Enhancement makes them think only about Mephistopheles. The Madness Enhancement would force Berserker!me (henceforth referred to as “me,” “I,” “they,” or “Brucersker) to speak only in regards to Mephisto, sort-of switching around second- and third-person.
Example:
What I would like to say: “From what I’ve seen, is it safe to say that Mephistopheles hates you?”
What “I” would actually say: “I’ve seen your interactions… you hate her, right?”
What I really liked about “me” was the badass-sounding summoning line I came up with (content warning for misogyny, suicide, blood, repetition, and mentions of death in the link):
“Servant, Berserker. My incompetent self came for one reason and one reason only. Where. Is. My. Wife?”
I imagined that this would lead Guda on a sort-of goose chase around Chaldea, trying to figure out who Bruce’s “wife” is, with Brucerker merely saying “I’ll know him when I see him.” (I wrote “them” this way for the sake of dramatic tension, but who’s to say this isn’t also a result of Madness Enhancement?
I could probably write a ficlet on that search alone, but here’s the CliffNotes version:
Brucerker: “Where. Is. My. Wife?”
Guda: “I don’t know… But I can help you find her! What is your wife like?”
Brucerker: “…coy, and sly.”
Guda: “Okay… (that’s not enough to go off of…) What if I introduce you to all of my Servants?”
Brucerker: “Yes… Master should start with the one that’s been with them since the beginning.”
Guda takes Brucerker to meet Mash.
Guda: “This is Mash Kyrielight, my first Servant! Class: Shielder.”
Brucerker, as the Madness Enhancement unclouds some of their memories of being a Master: “No… She’s like you, but different… A protector, but much younger…”
Mash, not knowing how Brucerker’s Madness Enhancement works: "’Like you but different…’ hmm…”
Mash, Brucerker, and Guda go to see Berserker Lancelot.
Brucerker, remembering the effort they put into strengthening Lancelot out of pity: “Those golden crystals I gave to make him stronger… I could have given them to you. Was it worth it?”
Lancelot is enraged by this disrespect and tries to attack Brucerker. Luckily, Mash intercepts with her shield.
Guda (to Mash): “Okay, so we know they used to be a Master.” (to Bruce) “What else is your wife like?”
Brucerker: “Kind… so kind… so full of love.”
Guda ponders the information.
A protector like Mash (but not the same age)…
Kind and full of love…
There’s at least one Servant in Chaldea who fits that description who has told Guda of her experience in a previous Holy Grail War.
Factoring in the Madness Enhancement, it’s entirely possible that Brucerker is confusing being “sly and coy” for something else.
Guda decides that it could be Jeanne, with Brucerker mistaking her more laid-back attitude toward being burned at the stake for aloofness.
Guda and Mash take Brucerker to see Jeanne, who is in the cafeteria hanging out with Astolfo.
Guda introduces them to Brucerker (Astolfo is ecstatic to meet someone new and shakes “their” hand without hesitation) and asks if Jeanne is “their” wife.
Brucerker says the line I used as the Madness Enhancement example, and adds that “you hate her because she can’t admit her problems.”
Guda is overcome with realization.
Astolfo: “But who would do that?”
Guda: “Like Mash but different… full of love… hates Jeanne for not admitting her problems!”
Guda: “It’s Meph!”
I really liked Brucerker’s vibes and concept, but I didn’t want to settle on one specific idea for my Mastersona as a Servant. I fluctuate between ideas for that concept too often. Instead, I went onto a Fate/Grand Order server I’m in and suggested a “game” of sorts (now we’re getting to the good stuff).
Content warning under the cut for mentions of death, burning, and incest

Hmm the only Galatea I can think of that would fit the Berserker class would be Sparton’s granddaughter but I also think they’re possibly going to go with a fusion of all three Galatea’s unless they galaxybrain it and go with Pygmalion’s Galatea only and make up some lore about her since she pretty much has a “for sale” sign stamped onto her character

Free space (Ask any question you want)
Name a book that you own starting with (Pick a letter). Have you read it?? Did you like it?? If you haven’t read it, are you looking forwards to it.)
Merciii, c’était long mais plutôt fun d’y répondre !
What book did you last read??
What book are you currently reading??
Do you read books just because you saw them on tumblr??
Is there a book that you think needs a bigger fandom??
Do you have a snack while reading or do you close the book first??
Can you ever stop in the middle of a page or do you have to finish the page or chapter first??
Do you borrow books from people??
Do you lend your books out to friends??
How do you find the Booklr community??
XD
What would you like to change/see more of in the community??
Do you post reviews??
How many books have you read this month??
How many books have you read this year??
Do you set yourself a reading challenge every year??
Non.
Do you set yourself a TBR list at the start of the month??
What book has been on you TBR pile the longest??
Euh…
Is there a book on your TBR pile that you don’t think you will read
Non.
Do you know anyone else that likes books??
Why did you start your book blog??
Is it how you thought it would be??
Do you write??
Un peu, oui.
Tell us a little about your writing.
How did you get into reading??
Have you read a book that was really hyped up but you didn’t enjoy??
Do you prefer physical books, Ebooks or audio books?? (/there is not wrong answer)
First book that comes to mind, tell us about it. Rant.
Vraiment.
Have you ever bought a book because the cover was so nice??
Can you leave a series unfinished or do you have to own all the books and try them all??
How do you think you would be described if you was in a book??
“They edged towards the shaking box that had just been delivered.” Should they open it?? You decide what happens next.
How do you organise your shelves??
Organi- quoi ?
What do you do to mark your pages??
Avec un marque-page, ou avec le signet s’il y en a un intégré au livre.
Do you have a lot of bookmarks?? or just a few??
Is there a book that you think everyone should read??
What book that has made you cry??
How do you feel when you find a typo/spelling error in a book??
Do you put a book under your pillow at night??
How do people read in the bath?? Please tell me, I’m scared of getting my book wet….
Free rant, go ahead, we all know you want to.
Cordialement.
Favourite book quote, go.
Une seule ?!
<< La fille n’était plus une fille. C’était un oiseau. Prêt à l’envol. >>
Do you take your own book photos??
Do you have a bookish tattoo?? Do you want one??
XD
How many books do you take when you go out??
Do you write, highlight, underline etc in your books
Worse book you’ve ever read??
Do you read classics?? If so, what’s your favourite??
Oui !

Ahh, alright. Is it a sleeve? I've always wanted one but kinda can't. Lucky you.
Sorry, I should have been clearer when I asked for manga recs. I've always been a watcher and very recently got into manga. I've actually watched Naruto, Bleach, Samurai Champloo, Noragami, One Punch Man, and Devil is A Part Timer. So, I don't see a point in reading those.
I could start with Is it Wrong to Pick Up Girls From the Dungeon and then perhaps follow it up with SOA. Thank you so much for taking out the time to give me recs!
What would you suggest in gore?
(Just for a bit more context - I'm reading Vagabond and Berserk right now + recently finished JJK and Rooster Fighter)
Manga goes far more into detail than anime. So if you really enjoy and anime you can get a lot more out of it by reading the manga.
I hope you enjoy them. The other seasons of SAO are good too just not as much as the first one.
For more gore? Re:Zero, Real Account, I love you so I kill you, zombie 100, Akame ga Kill, future diary, king's game, purgatory dead roll, high tower invasion, Pygmalion, ajin, Franken Fran, impossibility defense, smokin' Parade, rule - annihilation classroom, starving anonymous, the Nameless monster, chainsaw man.
That's all I can think of at the moment that I enjoyed.
