I love writing cute headcanons especially about grown a*s men. So here: HEADCANONS WHY MOBLIT BERNER IS A BABYGIRL - modern AU (?)
he loves to collect postcards!
Tumblr media
Moblit has a passion for vintage furniture
(Hange and he do vine references)
He's definitely someone who secretly watches movies just to be part of the group.
he would be very interested in feminism and attend classes on human rights.
Because of his overlooked presence, he's the best gift-giver at every party.
He has one perfume who smells like fruits
If someone wants Moblit to go to a store just to buy a good makeup product, he would swatch them to decide if it suits them or not.
He watches niche documentaries just to give Hange some funny fun facts
he has warm hands

Who is Claude Shannon?
Anyone in IT will have heard of Alan Turing and Tim Berners-Lee. The majority of developers will know about Ada Lovelace. But what about Claude Shannon? Well, I have to admit that I didn’t until I had time to watch the documentary film The Bit Player. I am shocked I’d never come across Shannon’s name before, given the importance of his work. So what did he do? Well, Claude was responsible for…

With the disclaimer that it's been years since I've read some of these books, that I don't read much horror or cyberpunk, and that I haven't checked if they're available for kindle (but most of them I read as library e-books so I hope so!) As far as I remember these are all lesbian
Escaping Exodus by Nicky Drayden: space-faring society that travels inside something like a space whale? Definite bits of body horror.
The True Queen by Zen Cho: magic in fantasy- historical Britain, this is technically a sequel to Sorcerer to the Crown but p sure you don't have to read that one first. Zen Cho has a lot of other books including editing Cyberpunk: Malaysia so there ya go
Creatures of Will and Temper by Molly Tanzer: also magic, also historic Britain. A bit of horror, iirc
Upright Women Wanted by Sarah Gailey: American West, radical librarians, alternative future, novella
The Merry Spinster: tales of everyday horror by Daniel M Lavery: nevermind you said no short stories
A Restless Truth by Freya Marske: fantasy Edwardian. They have the length of an ocean cruise to solve a murder and find a stolen piece of powerful magic. It's the middle book of a trilogy so idk if the stakes are meaningful without having read the first (which is also queer, but not lesbians)
Proper English by KJ Charles: similar vibes to Freya Marske re: Edwardian and murder. No magic, alas (at least not in this KJ Charles, but the KJ Charles books with magic mostly lack lesbians. Very sad)
*cracks knuckles* time for Can-Lit
The Fiddler Is A Good Woman by Geoff Berner: I fucking love Geoff Berner and please go listen to Super Subtle Folk Song or Daloy Polizei or That's What Keeps The Rent Down, Baby. Anyways he's mostly a musician and this book is set up like a documentary of interviews, letters, and recollections of trying to solve the mysterious disappearance of DD, the fiddler. I cannot remember the end, don't ask me if it's a happy one. It is funny at times!
The Melting Queen by Bruce Cinnamon: my memories of this one are hazy. Magic realism and a gender fluid protagonist, based on reviews.
When We Lost Our Heads by Heather O'Neill: dark and bawdy
Little Fish by Casey Plett: trans woman protagonist! Not a cozy light read, kinda grim.
Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein: oh my god. It doesn't really fit the fantasy/ horror/ cyberpunk criteria but please read this book. You want real stakes? You like unreliable narrator? You love lesbians? Read this book
Oh fuck it.
...followers, I need your book recs.
Fantasy (modern or not), horror, cyberpunk. Must have some real frigging stakes, must not be a cozy light read or JUST erotica. (Love a good sex scene, but I need more than just a good string of sex scenes.)
Must absolutely have a lesbian protagonist, queer or trans, and must ABSOLUTELY FUCKING NOT be primarily about romancing a guy. Or saving him. (Lads, this ain't avout you. A girl is in a dark place and has needs, all right?)
Novel or novella length. No shorts. Must be available in a format I can wedge onto my kindle.
So, got any recs?

Environ-mentality short film Idea and Pre - production work for After Effects work and Final Film
With the growing issue that affects us all, I have become more aware of our effects on the environment. Living in a world that largely powers itself using NON-SUSTAINABLE fossil fuels. It makes me think we are not doing enough, and some people don’t know enough about what we can do. Examples across the world show us we can do more, but why are we not? Examples include Iceland's Carbfix project, that captures Co2 and other acidic atmospheric gasses, liquidizes them then pumps them into the bedrock bellow where they then become stable minerals. (At the time of writing this) Morocco has the largest solar farm in the world as of 2020 (NOOR POWER PLANT) with an estimated size equivalent to 3500 football pitches. Iceland is powered 100% by sustainable energy and it took 4 years for Morocco to produce 49% of their energy sustainably. Why is it then that the UK and US are doing so poorly in the field of renewable energy? Accounting for 37.4% of renewable energy from the UK and a shocking 11% produced in America.
I want to discuss the damaging effects Co2 emissions from non-sustainable fuel sources has on the environment around us such as Air pollution, climate change, causing weather patterns to become more & more unpredictable, damage to the ocean, the loss of wild areas due to population and how ultimately greed and selfishness is hurting the world we inhabit. What we can do to change future for the better.
With this type of topic there is a lot of organizations who would love to be given the chance to spread their message. So, I would like to give them the chance to do just that,
I plan to approach certain companies or individuals offering them a chance to offer contributors for the film or to give their input. Such as Liverpool Friends of the earth, WWF to discuss the earth hour that happens once a year across the globe and Sea Legacy which is a company devoted to saving the oceans across the world and the wildlife that inhabit it.
Sea Legacy
Liverpool Friends of the earth https://friendsoftheearth.uk/groups/liverpool
WWF UK - 01483 426444
Stephenson Institute For Renewable Energy
I will need to need to research the topic a lot more than I have done because I feel as though I do not know enough yet to make a compelling piece of work. Although it is very quickly becoming a topic of great interest to me.
My Reading List for this topic will be.
Ahluwalia, V., 2013. Environmental Studies. New Delhi: The Energy and Resources Institute.
Berners-Lee, M., 2019. There Is No Planet B. Cambridge (Reino Unido) [etc.]: Cambridge University Press.
Klein, N., 2015. This Changes Everything. New York: Penguin books.
Wallace-Wells, D., 2019. The Uninhabitable Earth. 1st ed. New York, New York: Crown Publishing Group.
Inspiration for the film has come from personal interest. As well as other documentaries and docuseries out there, such as Kiss the Ground, Our Planet (including BTS) and Down to Earth.  I have also been a plant-based eater for just over a year now, I originally turned plant-based to improve my health. Although after some time I have discovered that there are lot of benefits to the environment when people lower their animal product consumption.  (not to say animal products are the only problem with the food industry)
I was also watching ‘I Am Greta’ the documentary about Greta Thunberg and her journey to where she is today, bringing awareness to the climate crisis across the globe resulting in the Fridays for future movement. Which inspired a tremendous amount of school children to protest against their governments attitude towards climate change.
Equipment & Budget:
Canon eos M50 mirrorless camera + 15-45MM CANON LENS E-MOUNT £499.00
SanDisk Extreme 64GB £28.00
TAKSTAR SGC-598 + POP FILTER £29.95
DEAD CAT FILTER £5.99
Manfrotto tripod £50.00
RODE Wireless Go Lavalier microphone £159.99
Acer Nitro 5 +  Samsung 500GB SSD + 16GB DDR4 SODIMM RAM £700 -£800
Adobe Premiere-pro + Adobe Photoshop + Adobe After Effects £16.24 creative cloud for students

Could I get a matchup, please? :) I'm a straight, 23F, a giant nerd. My quest in life is learning as much as I can. I can sit hours immersed in documentaries, reading articles, solving logic puzzles etc. I have a huge independent streak, I do what I want and require a certain amount of space. I have no issues being left to my own devices. I'm very messy, clumsy and scatterbrained and sometimes, very rarely, have intense emotional moments. I'm 5'0, small and have brown hair and glasses. Thanks!
You matched with Moblit Berner!
Tumblr media
Moblit loves your clumsiness, he has taken it upon himself to protect you from not only titans, but trip hazards.
He loves watching you delve into something you love, he is happy to just watch as you become a crazy fanatic.
He respects your need for space, he knows you don't always need him on your shoulder like others *cough* Hange *cough*.
Sometimes he won't get back from the lab until the early morning hours, he slides into bed and pulls you close, just happy to be with you.
Although he seems mostly calm, he is your number one fan and will do anything to make you happy.

The Internet and Digital Future Technology 2019.ইন্টারনেট এবং ডিজিটাল ফিউচার প্রযুক্তি 2019 The Internet Revolution and Digital Future Technology Documentary 2018 The history of the Internet begins with the development of electronic computers in the 1950s. Initial concepts of wide area networking originated in several computer science laboratories in the United States, United Kingdom, and France. When the Internet was invented? ARPANET adopted TCP/IP on January 1, 1983, and from there researchers began to assemble the “network of networks” that became the modern Internet. The online world then took on a more recognizable form in 1990, when computer scientist Tim Berners-Lee invented the World Wide Web. When did people start using the Internet? On 6 August 1991, the World Wide Web went live to the world. There was no fanfare in the global press. In fact, most people around the world didn't even know what the Internet was. Even if they did, the revolution the Web ushered in was still but a twinkle in Tim Berners-Lee's eye. When did the Internet originate? Find out here. The internet began life in 1969, when scientists working for the US Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPA, now known as DARPA) connected computer networks at the University of California and the Stanford Research Institute. Which country first invented the Internet? The internet protocols (TCP/IP) happened following initiatives takes by the US Government. The world-wide-web was invented by a British guy (while working at Cern) This brought us HTTP and websites. His work was inspired by the idea of hypertext. Hypertext as a concept had been bouncing around for a while. What was the original purpose of the Internet? Many people have heard that the Internet began with some military computers in the Pentagon called Arpanet in 1969. ... Bob Taylor, the Pentagon official who was in charge of the Pentagon's Advanced Research Projects Agency Network (or Arpanet) program, insists that the purpose was not military, but scientific. Please SUBSCRIBE & SHARE.

What is HTML?
We all familiar with web, internet, network and cyber universe. So what is the difference between Internet and Web. Web is used for receiving our information and send to the right address on the other hand internet will allow web to working on information deliveries. I learned it from my first Lecture in Web Authoring class.  Then there is another question what is HTML?  Hyper Text Mark up Language is a language to created for web. The only web server can access the HTML because it’s built for it.
In our generation we tend to use internet and web pages everyday in our life in order to work, get information, wonder around, watch documentaries even for learning. Internet has brought us to the new stage of information era that we could never imagine. Internet has potential memory of 40 thousand movies in 2 hours. I learned it from my Digital Media and Society lecture. Knowing instrument of internet, web and all the digital accession would allow us to figure out how our works connected to this online mechanism and It will also give us an opportunity gain our social status

Logic Releases 'Vinyl Days' Documentary
Tumblr media
Logic has released a new documentary called Vinyl Days Documentary. The hour-long film shows the rapper's last few days of recording his album Vinyl Days. The album is also the rapper's last on his former record label Def Jam, which he discusses in the documentary. “Leaving the only place I’ve ever known as a home for ten years,” he said. “To then go be independent and really do it on my own, it’s a scary thing. It’s a lot of things that I think are like building up and like so much going on and I just feel tired man." Earlier this year, Logic announced his move to record label BMG. With the new label, he will also be able to own his masters for every album he makes. In an interview with Billboard, Logic spoke about the label switch. “There’s a lot of bullshit in the music industry,” Logic added in a statement. “I’m just glad to move on to a place where I can be independent and respected as an artist, and feel like I’m in control of my career.” He first signed with Def Jam in 2014, where he released his debut studio album Under Pressure. His other albums include The Incredible True Story, Everybody, YSIV, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind and No Pressure.  Logic's Vinyl Days Vinyl Days was released on June 24 and include features from Action Bronson, Curren$y, Russ, RZA, AZ, The Game, Royce Da 5’9″ and Wiz Khalifa. Logic will be hitting the road on a co-headlining tour with Khalifa this summer. The Vinyl Verse Tour will kick off July 27 in Irvine, CA. Other stops include Phoenix, Dallas, Nashville, Atlanta and Brooklyn. It will conclude September 2 in St. Louis, Missouri. 24KGoldn, DJ Drama, Fedd The God, C Dot Castro, Rubi Rose and Berner will play on select dates of the tour. Tickets are on sale now.
