CONNECT, DISCONNECT OR RECONNECT
Covenant relationship in life and ministry.
CONNECT, DISCONNECT OR RECONNECT — Segun Olumide Saturday, 1st March, 2025 BARNABAS AND PAUL Barnabas connected to Paul and they came to the limelight together. When he disconnected from him his name fizzled out of the Acts of the Apostles and dashed into obscurity in a sense (Acts 11 — 28). Paul himself connected to Peter at God’s time (Galatians 1:17-18). He also connected by revelation to…

Great Walls of Benin - Benin City, Edo, Nigeria - Destroyed 1897 - Ellen Harvey
"The Great Walls of Benin were a series of more than 500 interconnected earth walls (Edo: Lya) in the area around present-day Benin City. They extended for some 16,000 km in all, took an estimated 150 million hours of digging to construct and were perhaps the largest single manmade site on the planet. The date of their construction is unknown, with estimates ranging from the first millennium to the 15th century. The Walls were ravaged by the British in 1897 in the “Punitive Expedition” led by Rear-Admiral Harry Rawson in retaliation for the so-called “Benin Massacre” (a surprise attack on British forces attempting to capture Benin City.) Much of the art looted at the time is still on display at the British Museum. Scattered remains of the Walls exist today, although many are being torn down to make space for real estate development.
"I was born and raised in southern Nigeria in a town called Warri, Bendel State; the capital was Benin City. I always knew about the Benin people and culture as I had family, friends, classmates, and neighbors who were from the Benin tribe. I was even more fascinated by the Benin tradition, kingdom, people, and history while at the Benson Idahosa University in Benin City. As part of my study at, I took a course called Nigerian People and Culture and I was completely stunned by the history I was surrounded by. I had walked past ruins, heard parables, tales, etc. not understanding their history. The Great Benin Walls were a masterpiece that cannot be forgotten, their history can be seen even to this day in its ruins. I hope everyone appreciates the history and ingenuity that went into building a structure we can now appreciate." Tamara U.

MY PODCAST MIC, BUT WITHOUT MY BIBLE I HAVE NOTHING TO SHARE WITH MY WORLD
Name the most expensive personal item you’ve ever purchased (not your home or car). That’s the most expensive personal item, though it is for work but yet it is mine. My books cost more but not one equate to the price of the mic. I believe no price is too great to pay for your dream, as said by Bishop Benson Idahosa. Everyone on the quest for fulfilment must come to this point that what will…

Benson Idahosa
Knights of the Kingdom Series
🛐📈📈📈📈📈📈📈📈🛐
Benson Andrew Idahosa affectionately called BABA or PAPA (1938-1998) was born in Benin (now Edo state) as an unhealthy child into a poor family. His health was so bad that his father asked his mother to throw him away. She did throw him away, but after a while she took him back. This caused a temporary separation between his parents. Later he struggled to be educated up to secondary school being so poor that he could not afford a pair of shoes until he was eighteen years old.
In 1952, Idahosa became a Christian in an Assemblies of God Church in Benin. After his conversion, he read the whole of John’s Gospel and decided he had to witness to his friends. This was the beginning of Idahosa’s preaching of the Gospel. Idahosa later sought after the experience of Baptism in the Spirit and he asked the Pastor at the church to pray for him. He was filled with the Spirit and spoke in tongues. After this experience, Idahosa began to preach in the different villages, organizing open air meetings. He did this in the evenings while he worked for a shoe company during the day.
The open air meetings witnessed people being healed of epilepsy and many other sicknesses. Other miracles were also happening in these meetings. The news about the open air meetings started to spread to other villages and this led to more evangelistic activities. In order to reach more people with the Gospel, he bought a motorcycle to help him travel to distant villages to conduct Gospel meetings.
In June 1967, Idahosa lost his father during the Civil War riots. One night in 1968, God spoke to him and after this experience, he began to have more evangelistic meetings and outreaches. Many responded to his ministrations and more people were saved through his ministry. He directed the converts to existing Pentecostal Churches such as the Assemblies of God. He had strong links with international gospel ministers and took the gospel to 145 nations in his lifetime.
At the time of his death in 1998, he was reputed as having preached to more whites than any black man, and to more blacks than any white man.
He has influenced, mentored and trained several ministers of the Gospel who are currently touching many lives. His wife, Margaret Idahosa is the current presiding archbishop of the church and the first female Pentecostal Archbishop in Africa.

"How My Wife Died And Came Back To Life" - Arch Bishop Benson Idahosa
Arch Bishop Benson Idahosa and family “Margaret [Idahosa’s wife] was dead! This could not be, no! But dead she was, stone dead. I called out to God; I cried out as never before. I sent the children back to their rooms to pray. With heavy feet and tear- soaked cheeks, they marched off. And there I knelt, all alone, beside my wife. She was suddenly lying dead in my arms. I did what I know to do…
