For example, gravel from the road may cause tiny cracks or veins in the windshield. Over time, the tiny vein could grow larger due to truck vibrations. They will remove the molding, cowl, and wipers and then lift the windshield out. Before they can install the windshield, they may need to remove any adhesive. After everything has been cleaned, the professional will apply new adhesive to the channel that holds the windshield in place. The replacement windshield will be installed after this is completed.
