I'm so glad it was finished on time for Valentine's.

Truthfully, when I started it last week I didn't remember 14 was coming or even realized that "hey, it's february and you're here obssessing over romance novel's covers". 🤣

I always wanted to design a book cover but didn't have enough self-confidence to go for it. I'm so happy to have found my way here and thankful for all the talented and inspirational OP fans 💕

Thank you so much, people!!! Hope you have/had the loveliest of days!!! 🥰 I know I'm going to cuddle with my cat, a book and fics after work, leaving the socials for the weekend.

Somebody said to @nyarlathotep-thecrawlingchaos (here) that her Beckman drawing looked like one of those cheesy bodice-ripper-romance-novel heroes so my brain has decided to take it seriously and look for the perfect romance book cover for Beckman 🙃

Of course it has to be one where we can show off his pecs. So far here are some candidates.

Hello! I was the one that sent the ask to nyarlathotep-thecrawlingchaos about Beckmann looking like he belongs on a romance novel cover 🤣 After seeing your post, I have had more ✨️thoughts✨️ I wish to share I hope you don't mind.

I've been binging Bridgerton (show on netflix), even tho I should be catching up on one piece 😬, and thinking a lot about Pride and Prejudice. The first cover you have on your post reminds me of the dresses they were, and I can't help but think of Beckmann in that time. More specifically, like the scene where Darcy confesses to Lizzie in the rain.

Just imagine Beckmann saying, "I love you... Most ardently."

I got HEAVY brainrot for Pride and Prejudice Beckmann, you don't understand 🥵 Especially after seeing nyarlathotep-thecrawlingchaos Fanart of him.

I LOVE bodice ripper covers. They are so artistry and over the top. And the FONTS (swooning in graphic designer). Historical are my faves too (of course I'm waiting for Bridgerton s3 like mad).

I'm not sure I see Beckman as a Darcy equivalent. After all he's still a rogue pirate even if he's the only braincell left at that ship 🤣 BUT definetely has some byronic hero vibes (minus the dramatics).

And now I'm wondering how many pirate bodice rippers are out there in the wild 👀

In case you were wondering what I'm doing with the winner...

All this because I have a writer's block, book covers give me life and drawing relax me... when I don't have to think of poses and hands.

I swear I though I put one day in the poll but it's a week 🙃 So I'm taking the winner of today which was number 6... a few hours ago when I started sketching 😅

If we take out my vote, both 2 and 6 are equal (why do I need to vote to see my own poll results?) but I'll play the favoritism card and go for what @fanaticsnail wants because she said she's going to write something for it 🤭
