cursing
summary: i canât think of a plot so maybe something like the reader first joining the group and sheâs rlly shy and innocent so all the losers donât want her near richie but one day he tries talking to her alone but they get detention somehow bc of him so her and richie have to do work like cleaning up classes and he rubs off on her and she picks up his sayings so the losers freak out?
A/N: Iâm so sorry it took me this long to write it, I hope you still enjoy thoughÂ
Richie Tozier is characterized by his crude remarks. Friends, peers, teachers and parent alike know that if they want their respective students, friends or children to behave and remain innocent, they best separate them by a mile from Richie himself. New kids are warned to scoot if Richie tries to approach them, and if youâre seen talking to him, itâll come as no surprise to anyone that curse words will become your second nature.
The losers club, aka Richieâs friends, accept this about him - except for Stan, who maintains his near perfect grammar despite being Richieâs oldest companion- and would never try to withhold him from getting to know new people and forming a friendship, but that doesnât mean they try to shelter said person on occasion.
The first day you arrived at Derry high, eyes casted downwards as to not initiate eye contact with anyone out of shyness, the losers knew that they had to keep Richieâs crude words and humor away from you. They approached you, and just like any descend peer and classmate would do, took you under their wings. It wasnât a secret that you were a shy person, riddled with social anxiety and the apprehensiveness to stand up for yourself, but the losers had tricks up their sleeve to help you overcome that fear. They do after all have a lot of experience in that department.
Your calmness contradicts everything that Richie claims to stand for -heâd never openly admit to his softer, more well-spoken side-, and though there is nothing wrong with either, the losers still maintained that you had to be eased into getting introduced to Richieâs abrasive persona.
Richie still hung out with you plenty, in fact it seemed as if you and Richie developed the closest friendship out of all of them, but as soon as the first syllables of an explicate would be formed, the other losers would loudly cuff of gently nudge Richie to let him know to stop talking.
For the most part, at least in the beginning, Richie stuck to his promise he had made with the losers. He tried his best to not let any lewd langueâs slip around you, with the exertion of mom jokes - the losers couldnât convince him to forgo those â and with a few misshapes not counted in, they rarely happened.
But then, unexpectedly and unfitting for you, both Richie and you get detention. Richie has gotten detention before, a lot in fact, but never had their timid, newest addition of the losers club been in any kind of trouble. It frustrated even Bev and Ben, and Richie of course, when Eddie, Stan and you ganged up on them to be the voice of caution, refusing to do anything remotely illegal or dangerous. So you getting detention was not something any of them ever saw happening.
It came as no surprise to find out Richie had pulled you into trouble with him, by babbling away in class and trying to get you to respond to his hyper antics in the middle of the class with the teacher every student feared most, Miss Michez. He would throw props of paper your way, write stuff on it and beg for you to respond to it, yell out random things until you caved in and laughed so hard you nearly snorted. Miss Michez, never one to allow any descriptiveness in her class, hurried to give Richie detention, and by default you, to find any reason to chase him out of her classroom.
It didnât matter to her that today was the first day of the year that the sun actually warmed up the surface, and that a bunch of test were impending and the losers had hoped for one last day of relaxing. All she thought of was punishing her students.
The losers, already planning on hanging out that day, decided to wait for the two of you outside of the school, even knowing that you and Richie were likely to be stuck there for at least an hour after everyone else was dismissed.
They were waiting in a state of uncertainty. Theyâd never seen you upset, or sad before, and you might not be now either, but they had no idea what to expect. They didnât know if you were the type of person to freak out over getting in trouble with elders, or if you didnât care. Assuming you would be upset, the losers collectively bundle their pocket money and got to the store around the corner of the school and bought heaps of comfort food.
When they were done shopping, they made sure to loiter around the front of the school. A part of them was hopeful that Richie managed to keep you bright and happy and smiley, but they know that detention isnât a joke so prepare for the worst.
At the hour and a half mark, the usual duration of detention on a Wednesday, Richie lanky body flew out the door, the door sweeping open and shut behind him. He had his arm tucked over your shoulders, and he laughed as he led you away from the - what he described as - grounds of hell.
âG-g-uys, are y-y-you okay?â Bill asks as soon as you and Richie are within reach. Thereâs no visible upset on your face, not as far as he can tell, but you might have just been covering it up very well.
âWhat? Oh yeah weâre fine, the old hag couldnât wait to get rid of usâ, Richie laughs as he leads you closer to the group.
âYeah, I donât think she realized she was setting herself up for more time with Richieâ, you say as you duck under his arm. âWhatever, the bitch deserved it.â
Ben chokes on his own spit, while Beverly cackles so loud itâs surprising miss Michez doesnât storm down the stairs to shush them.
âDid you just curse?â Stan grounds out, wide eyes looking at you like itâs the first time he has ever seen you.
âSome people deserve itâ, you answer, that same shyness the losers are so used of you coming back slowly. Apparently, the moment of brave boldness has come and gone. âKind of like Eddieâs mom.â
Bev roars louder, holding herself up by a beam so she doesnât fall over laughing. Eddieâs face turns white, and his gaze slowly, almost imperceptibly, shifts to Richieâs face. Then he states calmly; âIâm going to fucking kill you.â
Richie is granted three seconds to run.

Shut Eye
Chapter One: Curiosity of The Cat
Word count: 2797
Pairing: Loserâs Club x Reader
Summary: A divorce, a leg, and a blooming on fire relationship with four eyes over there. Â
Warnings: Divorce, argument, swearing, cheating(?), and gore
Authorâs note: Please help me point out any mistakes or message me about something you didnât quite get! Richie Tozier will be in the next chapter.
Dour clouds blanket the sky and the hint of asphalt is in the air. The streets was barely kissed by the minuscule amount of rain before the downpour, and a cyclist or two pass by her house before the rain envelops the sad sack of a town, Derry. A black lab was goggling at the grey, depressing clouds with his curious, black eyes. He swiped his nose with his pink tongue before a drop of water tapped the edge of his nose. Oz howled and barked from the dehydrated backyard as he ran along the fences. The local pups echoed his call of warning. Ozzie was part of the neighborhood choir of canines that occasionally sang when the sky inhabits a metallic odor. The black lab let his tongue unroll itself from his mouth as he was panting. He sat himself down before he pointed his snout into the sky.Â
âOz!â
Ozzie snapped his head towards the door. He shuffled his front paws, unsure if his owner called his name. She called his name again sweetly. Oz bounced out of his position, and pranced his way up the porchâs three-step stairs. A little jingle came from his collar as he slipped his furry body through the hole. As he bounced his way to his owner, the peeling, mahogany leather collar rubbed against him. The piece of duct tape on the edge glided against his neck as he ruffled out his fur with a shimmy. He sauntered over to nurse Thomas with his tail wagging happily behind before setting himself onto the cold tile floor. His chin rested on the front of his paws, and the nurse stroked his head lovingly before setting it back on the table, folded.
â(Y/N),â Nurse Thomas sternly called out to her daughter. Andy Thomas clicked her fingernails against the table. Her eyes were cold with irritation and displeasure with two eyebrow squished together. Anger poked her left eye making it twitch. Â Andyâs jaw clenched while she exhaled through her nose. (Y/N) could see the steam shotgun right through her nose. Curiosity was to blame for this stupid fucking outcome. She couldnât keep her inquisitive, slimy fingers off of the spine of her motherâs college textbooks. Before the meeting at the dinner table, (Y/N) toppled down a broad book from the closet shelf and the âCIA worthyâ folder peeled itself from its juicy insides. The divorce papers were splayed across the floor, right next to the textbook, and mom already has steam curling out of her ears and a pair of canines ready to rip off her wandering fingers.
The pre-teen studied the cold, lifeless manila folder, which was squashed down by a saucer and a chill cup of tea from thirty minutes ago. A sliver of text from Maineâs divorce papers was presented out of its holder. The young girlâs stolid eyes constantly read, â-PLAINT FOR DIVORCE (with children)â. The words fizzle out of her head. She re-reads and it fizzles again. Again and again and again. This.. This should not exist. This should be some cruel joke that someone decided to pull out of their ass because that is the only hole they can communicate their humor from. She yells to the version of herself that inhabits her mind.
Unfortunately, it wasnât some odd and eyebrow-raising joke Richie Tozier would sling shout of his trash-can-mouth at the back of the sixth grade classroom. Something that skimmed around: (Y/N)âs real name Problematic-Accident junior! She was named after her shitty mother! Â âKill two birds with one stone!â, her daddy said to himself and scrambled to a jug of big tits in New Orleans! Heâd gawk towards his poor friends. But, it wasnât. God, she would beg onto her knees, suck any fucking dick off, and eat shit for this just to disintegrate. Â
It was just the blade of reality, mugging you from all of your riches and joys of life. Cold, sharp reality. She was always hit by this cold, malicious thing when her curiosity was possessed like Marian Rolf- a fictional figure from the movie, Burn Offering, from the 70s. Curiosity never really did kill the cat. It murdered and devoured up innocence and childhood with its claws and teeth, and ended up regurgitating bones of cold adulthood and maturity. (Y/N) scraped the side of her cup with the nail of her index finger. The chilled cup of tea weighted down the paper with its saucer. Her eyes unhinged themselves from the papers, and glared towards her steam-shooting mother. She could see her jaw grinding back and forth constantly. The wrinkle in between her eyebrows is doubtlessly, permanently tattooed to her face. Â Her daughter of thirteen silently observed the amber liquid stewing with the cold, rainy air.
Slam! The porcelain saucer chattered against the paper after Andy impact her palm against the clothed table, which had little diamond designs her father adored. She noticed stains from the last dinner her family had together. Tomato.. No wonder her mother cooked that night.. Andy had always kept in mind to stay away from tomato because of her husbandâs horrible relationship to it the red fruit. Normally, she would be the one to sit down doing paperwork while her daughter cooked up something everyone said they enjoyed. Knowing how her mother lied, her culinary dream was slightly crushed by the possible faux compliments gifted to her. (Y/N) squeezed her shoulders inwards while her head slightly ducked down in fear. Her frightened eyes shooting back at her motherâs.
â(Y/N) Harwell,â she called out aggressively.âYouâre fucking tuning me out and soon enough Iâll start tuning you out my life, you hear?â A slight country accent, she had from when she was a girl, snuck into her vexed warning. The heel of her white tennese shoes angrily bouncing up and down. Andy Thomas let her slender finger snatch up the rim of the cup while her other hand slid under the saucer. She placed it beside her. The manila folder was the next victim, âNow tell me where the hell did you find this?â she growled with an angry passion. The folder right next to her face as the white fire in her eyes enlarged. Silence overwhelmed the impatient beast of the mother.
âAnswer me!â
âIn your old college books!â
âDonât you dare fucking yell at me!â She scolded . Andy Thomas shook her head and chuckled in disbelief,âWhat did I tell you not to do?â
âYou told me not to go through your bo-.â
âYet, you did exactly that! I told you not to go through my books, but you didnât listen to me!â She sneered at her. âWhy didnât you listen to me?â
She could perceive the angry hormones and adrenaline tickle and swirl around her spine. (Y/N) could feel the regret already inject the pit of her stomach, it was like an unknown source of blood pouring out at the bottom of your knee from a picked scab. It was there, but you couldnât feel it until you see the damage.
âMy dad left!â She sobbed out unintentionally. The water works just bursting out of her.
âand you-you di-di-di-didnât you tell me! Why didnât you fucking tell me that my dad went a-w-wuh-wuh-wol?â (Y/N) yelled. Her face felt hot and the air felt swollen as she tried to stop her hiccups. She could feel her throat rubbing out raw.âI thought he was rotting six feet under!â (Y/N) lips felt like they were being pulled down by weights. She could try to form her lips into a straight line, but she would always end up like a fucking pouty baby. A fucking pouty crybaby. Andy swiftly got up, the chair has been thrown back by her sudden irritated movements. A hollow echo erupted from inside the chair. The table viced in between her angry claws. A apoplectic snort came from her nostrils. Her eyes jumping back and forth; you could tell that she scheming out a punishment for her pest of a daughter. (Y/N) did not like the way she looked when she was nailing things together that involved her daughterâs suffering. Whatâs going to be now? The couch? The basement? The shed? The regret was already filling the insides of her stomach. It felt like slime was slurping at the meat of her stomachâs walls. The slime release from its suction cup hold, and reveals a special bruise of anxiety.
Beep. Beep. Beep.
The watch alarmed both of them.Â
The slime seems to settle inside her stomach. Â
Itâs time for her shift.
âI have to go.â She sighed, exhausted. â When I get back I expect a dog that will stop tugging on my pants for a walk, and while youâre walking Ozzy I want to think about what you just did.â She angrily said. âIf you donât, Iâm locking you in the basement tonight.â She warned. Basement was the winner tonight, she thought. Â (Y/N) didnât say a word. Afraid that any syllable or vowel will upset her. She didnât even want to mention about how mud would be imprinted on the carpet- knowing it would leave the nurse into Satanâs pregnant mother. Â
Nurse Thomas slid the keys off of the counter and swung a handbag onto her shoulder.
As the car rolled away, emotions overwhelmed and drowned her in stress. (Y/N) rested her crossed arms on the cold table, and nestled her face into the pit of it- avoiding the tea filled cup. Her fingers thread her hair, and sighed. Funny how the nurse scares the life out of her kid. She joked internally.
She would lock herself in the basement if she knew what was coming. The street had a charming silence. The only thing you could hear the soft taps of the rain collide with her cotton hoodie and the slippery concrete she peered at. The dog tag from her dog jingled as Oz excitedly take in the smell and scenery. Her shoulders felt padded with a cold, wet sensation and her shoes were filled with frozen toes. Other than being wet, she enjoyed the rain. It was calming and the neutral sky gifts you with a serene spirit. The rain bounced back slightly every time it impacted the streets. She watched the heavy droplets bounce as she contemplated the conflict between her mother. (Y/N) tried to understand her motherâs side, but it just didnât work out. Andy had so many damn chances to tell her what was going on, but she just kept her mouth glued. Her mouth full of razor sharp teeth. Ozzie halted to a stop. His snout rubbing against the weed and dandelions planted right next to the opening of the sewer. His paws getting soaked from the dirt-water.
âOz.â (Y/N) called sternly as she coiled the frayed leash around her wrist. She tugged,âCome on, Oz. Mom is going to kill me if you have your damn feet in shit water.â She quietly muttered. The leaves slightly rattle as the wind began to pick up its pace. The cold air sifted through her hoodie and pants, she shivered. (Y/N) quickly zipped up her jacket and roughly caressed her arms up and down. The black lab growled then proceeded to bark. âOz!â she hissed impatiently. (Y/N) tugged on his leash tighter. Oz was slightly tugged from his spot, but he remained in the same spot. He snarled.
âWhat the hell-â
Meow. Jingle. A cat cried out from the sewer. (Y/N)âs grip began to soften as she stepped off of the safety of the cement sidewalk. That cat cried out again, but with more volume. The girlâs teeth chattered as she crossed her arms. She bent forward to see soft baby blue eyes begging for safety. It yowled at her. She stepped closer. The young, oblivious girl folded her pants up and knelt down. She could feel her knees mold against the rough concrete floor. She slightly hissed in pain. âWhat the hell are you doing down there buddy?â She questioned the poor creature. Pity sets in her heart and scooted closely to the sewers. The eyes of the cat reminded of her older(and now passed) cat she had gotten for her fourth birthday. Two years after that, it promised the worldâs reputation of âCuriosity killed the catâ when strayed outside of the border of her backyard. This gave a sad and aching pain towards her and her father, but her mother was satisfied. Satisfied that the house didnât smell like sour piss. Sheâs always had the love for the cold yet loving and curious felines. Maybe thatâs why she had always been so curious. Her love of felines had influence her nose for adventure- or rather being at the wrong place at the right time. Ozzy growled and yapped towards the cat. âOz, stop it!â She pushed the dogâs nose away from the sewer. âYouâre going to scare the poor thing away!â A loud jingle erupted from the sewer came. As (Y/N) got closer to the sewer she could smell the leaves and shit from the darkness. The soft patter of the water and the constant jingling from the kitty. She placed her hand on the edge of the cement and moved closer to the small opening. The bells were more rapid and constant now. She squinted her eyes. A shadow of a human head materializes through the shadows. The blue eyes were human. A gasp of air quickly shoots down her throat in shock.
A white gloved hand snatches her ankle, and yanks her down. The girl screeched as her leg was caught in the opening of the sewers. The sides pelvis hitting the mouth of the sewers. The cold water running down her legs. Her being shot with a new kind of fear she never thought she would experience. A fear that made you feel like life was more valuable than you thought it was.
âHelp me!â She cried out. âDear god, help!â She begged. Tear bursted out of her eyes without warning, and this time she didnât fucking cared about looking like a pouty baby.
Get out.
Get out.
Get out.
GET OUT OF THE DAMN FUCKING SEWER.
A white sharp pain was introduce to her shock. Razor blade teeth sunk underneath the cap of her knee. Oz yapped and growled towards the vicious creature. She wrapped her arms around the neck of her dog. (Y/N)âs could heard her bone pop off and the hear the tearing of her skin. The young girl sobbed out in pain. Her breath was quick and shallow. Her barking dog walked back as she wiggles her leg out of the sewer. The rain soaking up the sweat making it into this sickening texture that stuck on her body. (Y/N)âs stomach had been clawed by the pebbles and odd texture on the floor, but she couldnât feel the small amount of blood exiting from the small cut lines. Blood oozes out of her leg and the bone of her leg was dyed with red. Her throat felt enclosed as she tried not to throw up. (Y/N) gagged instead, and looked away. Â First thing on her mind is survival as a white glove stretches out. She lets go of Oz and flips on her back. Her leg pushes her backwards as a viscous, pale clown grimly smile at her. She swore she could hear taunting lyricals of children. She swore his eyes had turned into a vicious yellow. She definitely swore that she is going to get out of this alive. She screeched for help as Ozzy yaps and bark. Adrenaline boosted her to kick her farther away from that terrifying clown.
âGet away from me!â
She was out of breath and her head felt like it was being pumped with air. Every time she blinked her eyelids were getting heavier, her hearing was beginning to sound like static on a radio channel that still had the hostâs voice, and her body was sore and cold against the wet pavement. Her face was inflamed and her heart⌠felt as if it was no longer there. As if it had fell out of her chest and a small tempo was their. The thirteen year old girlâs body twitch; It was as if God (if there is one) decided to send in a shock wave to see if the body would react. (Y/N)âs wet head slammed against the slick pavement. The last thing she saw was headlights, the last thing she heard was a loud jingle, and the last thing she felts was the nuzzle of her dog underneath her hand and the rain at the tip of her nose.

The Losers + Trick đđ Treating
A/N: Happy Halloween, everyone! This is with a gender-neutral reader.
Anonymous asked: hii! could you do a headcannon of trick or treating with the losers? thank you!
Warnings: None, this is 100% adorable.
Letâs be honest, the first thing youâd have to do is convince Eddieâs mom to let him join in on the Halloween fun.
Once you got passed that, you all made plans to meet up at Billâs place, 6:30 PM, sharp.
All of the Losers are super chaotic, so you probably all went last minute costume shopping together.
Eddie, of course, resorted to dressing as a nurse. He was probably in fear of what his mother would say about a scary costume.
Then we have Richie, who probably didnât go the extra mile and settled with a cheap, but spooky halloween mask and a fake weapon of some sort.
Bill and Stan probably matched up their costumes because they are just that way.
Bev definitely went the extra mile, fake blood, terrifying makeup and costume, and everything.
Ben literally goes crazy and dresses like a hippy, 100% all the way.
And finally, our baby Mike probably did something really dumb, like picking out a suit and going as a bottle of ketchup.
You would all have to fight your parents to let you go out so late, especially with the strange amount of children disappearing recently.
Eventually your parents would all give it an okay.
You all stick together like glue the entire time, kind of terrified of something bad happening, but also like, having a good time.
Lots and lots of candy that you all dump into one pile together and just go absolutely mad.
Itâs probably the best time everyone has had in awhile due to everything that was going on.
You all walk each other home until itâs just two of you left.
Since you live next to our sweet Bill. It works out perfect.
Everyone gets home totally safe and you end up all calling one another, gushing over how much fun you had and how you dreaded school the following day.
You and your friends were inseparable. It was a good Halloween.

Our Last Summer (3)
Summary: The Losers club all recall their encounters with IT, and meet Mike Hanlon along the way;
AN: This took so long fuck sorry Happy new year! This is really long oh dear.
(Part 1) (Part 2)
It was just after dinner win the phone began ringing. Your mother was repairing some old clothes at the kitchen table and your father was busy working in his office, Y/N walked over to the phone and picked it up, not expecting the voice on the other end.
âY/N?â spoke an upset voice, it was obvious that they had been crying.
âBev is that you? Whatâs up?â Y/Nâs voice was laced with concern, there was a pause before Beverly spoke again.
âC-Can you come over? I need your help.â
âSure, Iâll be right there. Is your dad there?âÂ
âNo... Heâs gone to the pub, he wonât be back until the morning. Can you please hurry?â Her voice was breaking, youâd never heard her sound so upset.
âYeah, sure Iâll be there asap. Just, stay there OK?â You put the phone back on the hook and slid her shoes on. Her mother looked up from her place and cocked a brow
âWhere do you think youâre going?âÂ
âBev called, she sounded really upset, Iâm going to go check on her.â Was all you said as you walked out the back door and got onto her bike, peddling as fast as you could to Bevâs house.
You dumped your bike by the fire escape and ran up the steel stairs. You opened the door to Bevâs flat and rushed in.
âBev? Bev where are you?â you called as you looked around the small space.
âBathroom.â She shouted, her voice cracking. You rushed into the bathroom and gasped when she set her eyes on her friend. Her hair was cut short and uneven, hair covered the sink.
âBevvie...â You went in to hug her âWhat happened?âÂ
âIt was impulsive... Can you help me even it out?â She spoke softly, calmer know that Y/N was here.
âOf course...â was all you said as you grabbed the scissors and began to cut away at the strands, evening them out as you went. It took an hour but soon enough, you were done.
âWhat do you think?â you asked timidly
Bev turned to the mirror and ran her hands through her hair
âI love it. Thank you Y/N.â Bev smiled, and they hugged once more, before Y/N left.
The next day, You and Bev met up and rode down the the quarry together. Once the two of you had reached the quarry, you saw the group of boys already stripped and at the edge.
âW-Who wants to go first?â Bill asked
âIâll go.â Bev piped up from her place beside Y/N, She quickly took off her dress and ran to the edge, jumping over. You began to laugh at the others reactions, doing the same, you jumped in as well.
The 7 of you spent the entire day playing and swimming in the quarry. It was some of the most fun that Y/N had ever had. You all swam, raced, Y/N even sat on Richieâs shoulders and wrestled Bev. It was the type of day youâd wish would never end.
After a while, all of you got out of the water and sat on some near by rocks. Somebody had brought a boom box, which was blasting some Young MC song while you and Bev sunbathed.Â
âNews flash Ben! Schools out for summer!â Richie said in a stupid voice, which made you laugh. You sat up to see what they were doing and saw Richie digging through Benâs backpack, you briefly saw a post card but Ben snatched it out of Richieâs hand and put it back in his bag. Richie then pulled out a folder and began to flip through it.
âWhats with the History project?â Richie asked before passing the folder to Bill
âI didnât have anyone to hang out when I first moved here so I spent a lot of time at the Library.â Ben replied bashfully.
âYou went to the library? On purpose?âÂ
âI wanna see.â Bev stood up and sat next to Bill, who stared at her.
âY-Y-Your hair.â Bill began, but stopped.
âYour hair is beautiful, Beverly.â Ben interrupted, making Bev blush lightly. You gave her a small smile.Â
âThanks.â She smiled to the two boys.
You stood up and sat next to Richie on the rocks, looking at the folder.
âWhyâs it all murders and missing kids?â Richie asked, passing it to Stan
âDerryâs not like any other town I've ever been in. Did you know that people go missing here twice the national average?â Ben watched as everyone passed around his folder, reading the pages with fascination.
âIs that true?â You asked
âThatâs just adults... Kids are worse. Iâve got more stuff if you want to see it?â Ben asked and before you knew it, you were all on your bikes, on your way to Benâs house.
Once everyone had dumped their bikes outside of Benâs house, everyone filed in after him. Once all of you had reached Benâs room, you were speechless. All sorts of old public records, newspaper clippings, and old drawings littered the wall. You were astonished.
âCool, right?â Ben asked with a slight enthusiasm, you could tell he really enjoyed all of the History here in Derry.
âNo... No not cool.â Richie began a sarcastic rant, which you ignored. You looked at the various drawings but one caught your eye. One with a clown. The same clown you saw in the woods. Your breath caught in your throat and you felt your stomach sink.Â
âY/N?â A voice said beside you, You jumped slightly. You turned to see Stan looking at you with slight concern. âAre you OK?âÂ
You nodded, âYeah, just not feeling to well.â You made up an excuse, you didn't want to tell anyone about the clown, not yet anyway. Theyâd think you were crazy.
After you had all looked around Benâs room, you all left. One by one, going home for dinner.
The next day you had gotten another phone call from Bev, she sounded equally as distressed as the last time. You barely had time to talk before she hung up.Â
âGet the boys and come to my house. Now.â Was all she said, before you heard the dial tone. Once again, you rushed out the back door, jumped onto your bike and rode over to Beverlyâs, picking up the boys on your way.
âWhat did she say, Y/N?â One of them asked
âShe didnât say anything, just that we had to come over.â You groaned as you stopped your bike and jumped. You saw Bev running down the stairs and she gave you a hug
âYou made it! I-I need to show you something.â
âWhat is it?â
âMore than we saw at the quarry?â Richie joked
âShut up! Just shut up Richie!â Shouted Eddie
âMy dadâll kill me if he founds out if i had boys in the apartment...â Bev continued, glancing at you.
âThen w-weâll leave a l-look out. Richie s-stay here.â Bill said as he got off his bike, the others did the same and ran up the stairs while Richie complained.
âWhat do i do if he comes back?!â He shouted.
âStart talking!â You called.
The group of you all walked in to the small flat. You followed Beverly and raised a brow.
âIn there.â She said nervously.
âThe bathroom?â you asked
âWhat is it?â Stan said from beside you.
âYouâll see.â Was all Bev said as you began to walk towards the green door.
âThe bathroom? Did you know that 89% of injuries in the home happen in the bathroom...â Eddie began to spout out different statistics about injuries caused at home. He soon stopped when Bill pushed open the bathroom door. Your stomach sank.
There was blood everywhere. The crimson colour painted the floors, ceilings, windows and walls. All light that shone in from the window was blocked, and instead filtered in ominous red light.Â
âHoly shit...â You muttered
âYou can see it?â She asked us all hopefully
âWhat happened in here?â Stan asked
âMy dad couldnât see it... I thought i might be crazy.â
âWe canât leave it like this. We have to clean it up.â You said and began to walk to the cleaning supplies.
The group spent what felt like hours, scrubbing and rinsing the bathroom. It was disgusting.Â
After youâd finished cleaning, the group found themselves walking along the street. Richie was riding his bike in circles around all of you, moaning about how bored he was being left alone outside while you had scrubbed the floors.
âBeep beep Richie.â You said quietly
âOh Iâm sorry I wasnât scrubbing imaginary blood that came out of the sink. Probably looked like Eddieâs mums vaginas on Halloween.â
âShe d-didnât imagine it... I-I saw s-something too.â Bill said. We all stopped in our path and turned to him.
âMore blood?â Stan asked. Bill shook his head.
âNot blood... I saw Georgie. It seemed so real, It seemed l-like him, but i s-saw this-âÂ
âClown?â Eddie interupte, his voice shook slightly. You stared at the ground, It couldnât be real. Other people had seen It too?
âI saw it too.â He continued. The other losers nodded in agreement, as did you.
âI didnât want to say anything, in case you thought I was crazy but, on my way home from school, on the very last day of term... I saw this clown. He looked like Betty Ripsom at first... But then he turned into a clown. I tried to run but the trees branches turned into... Hands I suppose. My upper arms got scratched from it all....â You rolled up your sleeves and showed the scratches briefly to the Losers, who gave you a look of sympathy.Â
âWait can only Virgins see this stuff? Is that why i havenât seen anything?â Richie piped up, the losers gave him a scowl. Before anyone could tell say anything, shouting could be heard from the woods next to the road.
âShit thatâs Belch Huggins car. We should go.â Eddie said while he climbed onto his bike.
âWait isnât that the home schooled kids bike?â Bill pointed to a bike, the basket on the front had packages spilling out of it, as if it had been thrown hastily.
âYeah thatâs Mikes...â You furrowed your brows, You had met Mike before. He was sweet, but didnât talk much.
âWe have to go and help him.â Bev said firmly
âWe should?âÂ
âYes.â You agreed with Bev, the two of you immediately dropped your bikes and ran off into the clearing. The group soon in toe. Quickly, you had all gathered across the stream and saw the Bowers gang, They were pushing Mikes face down into raw meat. The sight of it made your stomach churn, Those Bastards. The next thing you knew, Henry had Mike pinned and he held a rock over him, Threatening to hit make with it. You and Bev picked up a rock each and launched it at Henry, Who paused and turned to look at you both with anger.
âNice throw...â
The rest of the losers soon joined you and followed suit, picking up a rock each, as Mike crawled across the stream. You helped him sit up and turned your attention to Bowers.
âYou losers are putting in way to much effort. Theyâll do you, maybe at the same time. You just gotta ask nicely. Like I did.â Henry smirked and did an obscene gesture towards you and Bev. You scowled at him, but sadness could be seen in your eyes. It wasn't true of course, but nobody ever believed that. Ben let out a roar and launched his rock at Henry, hitting him square in the face. The losers followed, all throwing their rocks at the Bowers gang.Â
âRock war!â Richie shouted just before being hit in the face, It was The Bowers gang Verses the Losers. Everyone of you threw the rocks as hard as you could, fighting a winning battle against bowers and his goons. Eventually, the Bowers gang gave up, and ran away.
The eight of you walked along to a meadow nearby.Â
âGuys that was nice an all, but you really shouldn't have have done that. Heâll be after you too now.â Mike sighedÂ
âOh no Bowers is always after us. Itâs fine.â Eddie shrugged, Mutters of agreement could be heard through the group.
âYeah home school, welcome to the losers club.â

water rippling
A/N: Iâm so sorry this took so long, please let me know what you think!Â
Summary:Â could you do a young losers x reader where the reader canât swim but richie convinced her to come w them to the quarry bc heâll teach her. but while he is pennywise comes underwater and tries to drown her so they have to save her
warnings: this whole chapter is basically about drowning and the fear of it so please donât read it if that triggers you.Â
âIâm not getting in.â
âIf you donât get in than I canât teach you anything either. Fuck, just get in already.â
âI told you I didnât want to go swimming Richie, this is all your stupid idea so at the very least be fucking patient with meâ, you bite as you dip in foot into the water, then lift it up higher again so the water canât reach you. The scowl on your face deepens.
You never understood why people swim as a hobby. Youâd get why everyone has to learn how to swim - even if you didnât and never learned-, but actually enjoying swimming? No, those people must be out of their minds.
Richie laughs, mocking you, but all in good fun. âStart with one step. Just until the water reaches your ancles. You canât drown from that Y/N.â
âI could trip and drown.â
âLiterally how? Iâm right here, the losers are further up keeping an eye on us, and all you would have to do is stand up. Itâs not deep here.â
You sigh, but know that ultimately, Richie has a point.
Most people donât automatically back away from water as soon as they catch a glimpse of it, but people hadnât had a trauma related to it either.
Swimming always reminds you of the day you nearly drowned. It was on vacation, in the same resort your parents took you every year, and then left you in the Mini club while they went off and had a relaxing day. The animators who were supposed to be watching you, spoke a language you, at that time, hadnât been able to disaffirm, and thatâs where an almost deadly mistake was made.
The leaders lured you away from the club house, and you, like every other little kid present, followed them along unfearingly. They were older, and you trusted that they would keep you safe. Until one of them picked you up near a pool, and threw you in without any warning.
At the time, you hadnât been able to swim by yourself without help, and so the second your feet left solid ground, you panicked. It didnât seem to matter how many times you tried to wave your arms for help, none of the animators were glancing your way.
You canât figure out how you somehow managed to reach the edge of the pool, but you did, only to get thrown right back in after by the animator, who thought you were having the time of your live.
Of course, you didnât blame them. Itâs not like you could tell them you couldnât swim, so they had no way of knowing that, but it still scared the life out of you. For the rest of the trip, and after, you refused to go anywhere near the water. Not even your parents trying to persuade you with promises of ice cream and candy if you were brave, made you take another change in the thing that nearly killed you.
You never tried to swim again, and that meant you had no knowledge of how to do it. It was embarrassing, to decline going to swim during P.E and being forced to explain why. Your peers often ridiculed you for it, and it made you feel like a losers for being such a coward.
But, cowardness is easy, especially when compared to facing your fears, and you never tried to learn how to swim, even after all the mockery. Only your new best friends hang out in the quarry all the time now, and youâre sick of being the one who has to watch from the shore as the others have fun.
Nothing bad has occurred to them in the water, -youâve seen them go in about six times in three weeks now, and no one has come close to trouble - and Eddie, who is the most cautious person youâve ever met, told you that statistically, thereâs very little chance of you drowning. At your wits end, the only person you can think of asking for help, is Richie.
Richie might be an add choice, but heâs the only one who wouldnât turn the lessons entirely boring and practical, like the others might. Richie jokes around a lot, brings humor into any situation, and you need that. You canât get in your hard about the rippling water, or youâll back out again.
âFine, Iâll go in, Iâll even sit down, but if I freak out and want to get out youâll let me okay?â
âYeah Iâm not gonna force you to stay. Iâm not Eddieâs mom.â
Maybe youâll be embarrassed by the motion later, but in the moment, you reach for Richieâs wrist, just to have some sort of support. Richie doesnât mention it, just careful takes the same steps you do and lets you pick the pace at which youâre going.
It goes slow, but not at any point does Richie try to speed the process along. He does drop down in the water, on his ass, choosing a spot that just covers both of your torsos but is close to the shore.
You copy his every move, breathe deeply when you feel the water ripple around you and adjust to the new intrusion, until your closely packed to Richieâs side, in the water.
It takes a second to set in, that youâre sitting in the water and nothing is happening, but then you let out a breath of disbelief.
âSee, told you you could fucking do it. Repeat after me, youâre a woman who donât need no man.â
âYouâve been watching to many soap operas richâ, you tell him when you feel like youâre not on the verge of panicking anymore.
Inside the water, something pokes your leg, but you try to ignore it. You focus on breathing through the initial panic, remembering that nothing bad had happened to the losers despite being in the lake for a long time, and that pretty much ensures nothing would happen to you either.
âOh grossâ, you utter as your try to force the slimy thing away from your feet. âYou didnât tell me there would be fish in here.â
Richie snorts, rolling his eyes as he grabs a handful of water and aims it at your face. He misses -Richieâs aim is always horrible whether youâre playing dodgeball or heâs trying to pass something on-, but he doesnât care.
âThis is your fear Y/N/N, donât try to scare me now. Besides, Iâm not afraid of fish, Eddieâs mom vaginaâs smells like a few died down there.â
You canât focus on how disgustingly distasteful that joke is, because all you concentrate on is the slimy sensation, slowly sliding up your leg higher and higher.
âRichieâ, you beg, your voice reduced to that of a scared toddler. âThen what the fuck is touching me right now?â
A louder, slightly strained chuckle is produced by Richie, like he too is getting worried but is trying hard to convince himself everything is alright.
âStop fucking with me Y/N.â
Richie pushes the boundaries a lot, keeps going until somebody gets really annoyed and about ready to shut him up for a longer time, but the sincerity in his vox is so present that youâre instantly convinced heâs not messing around now.
âIâm not fucking with youâ, you raise your voice to a shrilled scream, so loud that the other losers, engaged in a game of chicken in the middle of quarry, also become aware of the situation. âSomething is down there.â
Itâs too late for them to help. The slimy blob, muddled by the water but visually a hand, tightens around your ancle, and snatches, hard.
Richieâs scrawny arms canât resist against the strong haul, but he tries to hold on for as long as possible. His nails dig into your flesh, and the more you get pulled inside the water, the more marks his nails dig as you slide forward.
You shriek, arms flailing around now that the water is still too shallow for you to not be able to touch the bottom.
Plunges of water drip onto your face, both from your doing and Richieâs, and the others are advancing rapidly to come too your aid. Unfortunately nothing else can be done. Richie has no other options but to let you go, and the hand drags you to the middle of the lake.
Once youâre far enough away that you canât touch the bottom with your feet anymore, the hand lets go, and youâre left to flounder on your own. Your legs slap around, trying with all your might to stay afloat and give the losers an opportunity to save you. A haunting chuckle breezes over the shell of your ear, and then the hand returns, satisfied with watching you struggle and panic for a while, but now ready to increase the terror.
You get one more chance to scream and suck in a handful of fresh air, and then your sinking down, under the surface.
The water douses your ears, muffles your ability to hear and see, and suffocates you with her insistence. You open your mouth, but it canât produce a scream anymore, and you realize that you are completely as utterly doomed.
The hand has yet to free you, and it continues to pull you down. With each second that ticks by the fire in your chest spreads, and is unable to be ignored. After barely a few seconds, your movements turn sluggish, and you stop fighting against the hand. Itâs at that time that it finally loosens his hold, but the fire has dilated up so much you canât focus on anything other than the pain. Without ever learning how to swim, you wouldnât be able to make it to shore anyway.
You read somewhere once that as soon as you swallow in water and it fills your lungs, youâll die, and the pain will stop.
Your life plan hadnât included dying this young in your life, but if you must go, youâd rather have it be quick. Losing the strength to hold out any longer, you open your mouth, and feel two separate pair of hands unclasps around your arms. The anxiety inside of you spikes, but you lack the energy to struggle against the grip, so you allow yourself to be guided. Itâs not until your head breaks up from the water, and o2 greets you in plenty, that you see that the hands have brought you back up, instead of down.
You gasp, coughing up water, feeling as any minute you could pass out on the spot.
âJesus Y/N, stop struggling. Weâre going to get you out.â
The two pairs of hands that saved you from drowning turn out to be Mike and Bill, and the float with you to the side of quarry where Eddie is gearing up to perform cpr if needed. If you had some breath back in your body, you would laugh at the sight.
Bev and Richie help drag you onto the dry rocks, away from the water, but still too close for your liking.
âGet awayâ, you retches, crawling back in your arms. Eddie, who has been checking you over, tuts, but you donât let it stop you.
âIt grabbed me. It fucking grabbed me. Get away from the water.â You think you begin to cry, out of relief and alarm, but you canât disentangle the water with your fluid.
âThere was nothing out there Y/Nâ, Ben tries to sooth, approaching you like a frightened animal. Eddie is less cautious, and stamps towards your with a frown on his face. He turns you on your side, his instruction not too brazen but still firm.
âThere was though guys. I swear on Eddieâs mom that something pulled her away.â
âI saw it too,â Eddie conforms, not looking away from your body, checking for any permanent damage.
âGuys,â Bev interject with a head shake. Her eyes gesture to you, shivering with wet clothes and crying hysterically. âNot now.â
âYeah. Weâll t-t-talk about it l-l-later.â
Itâs Bev that gently ushers Eddieâs prodding hands away, as she opens her arms and awaits to see you reaction. You, once you pick up on whatâs happening, accept gratefully, your tears subsiding only slightly once your wrapped up. The others join the cuddle pile soon enough, until thereâs a shield of people protecting you and obstructing your view of the water.
âPromise me we wonât ever go in there again. Not any of you. Please,â you beg, afraid not solely for your life but for theirs as well.
âOkay, okay Y/N. We promise.â
