Possible Hades II Romances
Sorted by how likely I think they are to make it into the game. Based on initial Early Access release.
Icarus 100% going to be a romance. No question.
Eris Eris is obsessed with Melinoë. Following her around, the nicknames, the codex entry, the later lines where she actually shows vulnerability. Getting through to her and understanding her issues is going to be a central story arc and I'm almost positive there will be a romance option at the end of it. Also Zag/Meg has established "fighting to the death" as a love language.
Arachne This is going to be a romance but it might not be an endgame romance. We already have the "heart wants what it wants" scenes, but I think her arc is going to be about curing her curse and after that it's 50/50 if Melinoë can kiss her or they're going to pull a "I've been through a big change and I'm not ready for a romance right now" card on us.
Moros and Nemesis They are such bait. I think it comes down to if this game lets you go poly and date everyone or if specific romances will lock you out of others. Supergiant is real squeamish about incest for a studio that chose to use Greek mythology and I don't think you will be able to kiss multiple Nyx kids at once.
Dora She's the funny character like Hypnos last game and so many people wanted to romance Hypnos. Maybe they will throw us a bone.
Hypnos Or just give the people what they want. Hampered by my suspicion waking him isn't going to happen until endgame.
Odysseus Sorry man but 0% chance. They had Mel uncle-zone him. He is for the player's viewing pleasure only.
Artemis Also zero. Cousin who calls you "sister," see above about the incest squeamishness. I'd fold all the other Olympic gods in here as well.
Everyone else is an extreme longshot. If the game follows the first one's pattern and you can end up with one boy and one girl I'm thinking it's Icarus and Eris. Melinoë has a thing for the winged ones. Also one mortal and one god would be thematic. But I'm expecting they will do something different and committing to a romance will cancel out the competing ones. There's just too many siblings floating around.
Eager to know how everyone else is feeling so far.

So I've been thinking.
Icarus and Arachne clearly have some situationships going on (Arachne's is triggered when Mel gives her ambrosia and it looks to be mutual unless something else changes). They are both shades LIs (2)
Eris and Nemesis both clearly also have situationships with Melinoe. They are both female god LIs and daughters of Nyx (2).
Moros is highly implied (like the foreshadowing is very thick) to be a potential LI for Melinoe. He is a male god and son of Nyx (1). If we look at the pattern going on so far, we're missing one male god love interest. Who could that be?
Now, it's entirely possible that it's a god not yet included in Early Access and has to be patched in with development. But also. Melinoe has had a parasocial relationship with Hypnos going on since forever. She gives him great reverence/interest with him. She clearly is into babygirl" men. It would be wild, and I say wild, if the final male LI established is Hypnos. Once you wake him that is.

Sorry for hijacking your post, OP, but you've articulated something that I've definitely been feeling and I have thoughts about it:
The reason the ship feels different to me is that none of the other potential dynamics/love interests have this much baggage to unpack before they're ready--Moros and Icarus are really sweet, Moros in particular has no history at all with Mel, and Eris, while a pain, is super emotionally perceptive (which is what makes her such a good complement to Melinoë). Meanwhile, both Nemesis and Melinoë are, in their own ways, quite emotionally dense, have a lot of history, and care what the other thinks about them. A recipe for disaster.
To further elaborate: I think the idea of Melnem is deceptively easy to see (cue all the comparisons to Meg from the first game) but when you dig into it, the crux is actually pretty different. At first glance, it's rivals to lovers, big buff lady is mean to me but actually cares. And it is that, but the care underneath that (the kind of knightly attitude that Melinoë shouldn't have to do this, I should be risking my life while she stays safe) also has some questionable logic to it. It's the same questionable logic that runs through most tales of chivalry--very nobly denying someone else's agency and skill and trying to be the one who "saves" them. Thus, the arc isn't (or shouldn't be) just "Nemesis finally shows Mel she cares!" but that "Nemesis is emotionally open with Mel, and acknowledges that Mel is strong enough to do this and make her own choices." This is an extra level of complexity that neither Megaera (the character Nemesis is usually compared to) or Eris (the most openly antagonistic to Mel, and the true equivalent to Megaera, I said what I said) have: both Meg and Eris already acknowledge Zagreus and Mel as dangerous, worthy opponents with their own agency (and love that about them).
We also have the element of Nemesis' identity, and how as Retribution, someone else getting injured and dying repeatedly on a mission of vengeance must feel like an existential crisis. But while Eris has brought up the idea of incarnations changing (so we know that, thematically, that's something on the table), EA Nemesis has expressed no such desire or indication that her arc is moving that way.
All this to say that Melnem has a lot going on. A lot a lot. This is not automatically a good thing, by the way; in fact I think that having such an ambitious character/romance arc here is going to be very difficult, because:
The game has a lot going on. Gameplay is punchy and hectic. You're spending a good deal of time at the Crossroads figuring out arcana and weapon load out and resource-managing. Emotionally, you might not have it in you to care about a convoluted LI path--and even if you do, mechanically, the narrative is delivered in small chunks across multiple runs. This means that the game is effectively working with shorthand, relying on the audience to grasp the flow of the story/character/dynamic pretty quickly, and that whatever point of the arc you're currently in may linger for a while in real time, cementing the audience's view of that story/character/dynamic. It's difficult to convey that complex narrative for Nemesis through shorthand, and because it's where her arc starts, she spends multiple early interactions being sour and doubtful of you. The perception of her kinda gets stuck there. (For comparison, Meg's first interaction with Zagreus sets up that they're exes, it's Meg's job to stop him, and that she likes fighting with him: "A man after my own heart.")
And also: Hades II's stakes and tone are different. I don't think Nemesis would have worked in the first game (vastly too complicated thematically for a slice of life in hell), but I can see how a lighter tone and the frankly amazingly emotionally stable Zagreus would have made her easier to swallow. It's why Hypnos constantly reiterating how you died was funny and not deeply agitating. With Melinoë already overachieving on the imposter syndrome front and the fate of the gods on the line, the meanness isn't a bit anymore; it can actually cut.
All of this--the complexity, the emotional baggage and constipation, the character arc that feels difficult and ambitious within the narrative delivery and tone of the game--makes Nemesis and Melinoë as a ship interesting to me. But I can also see how it might not particularly be fun.
And as a footnote, completely out of the game's control: the fandom interpretation of Nemesis. I personally have struggled with it--it sort of feels like reducing her character to "mean lady who I ABSOLUTELY want to rail me" sometimes--and fair or not, fandom can affect your enjoyment of a ship or story.
This is so much more than you asked for, OP, and I'm very sorry. I have more thoughts, but I shall rein it in for now.
I gotta be honest here am I the only one who just isn’t feeling Nemesis as a romantic option for Melinoë in Hades 2? She feels like she is meant to be the main option but I cannot for the life of me see any chemistry between them. Idk exactly why because I like Nemesis as a character.
Like, Nemesis feels like a love interest from Hades 1. I feel like she would appeal more there. But with Mel? Idk man. I can’t quite explain why.
Specially because like…Romance wise, I feel like all the other options seem so much more appealing. Eris x Melinoe rules, they compliment each other perfectly, Icarus x Mel has been getting pretty popular and with reason, and even tho I also don’t see much between Moros x Mel, it’s still much more compelling. There’s just something with Nemesis that isn’t working for me.

Welcome To The Family (5/???)
1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / here
Had no idea how to connect with Aizawa. Hopefully, this works. Sorry about my hyperfixation on this.
Warnings- some swearing
---------------------------------------------------------------
I get ready for yet another day of babysitting Eri. Thinking back on the festival yesterday, the uncomfortable feeling between the two men is something I’d rather not experience again if possible. They’re together as well, so why did Hizashi put me between them? I could have sat on the other side of him if he wanted me beside him so bad. Don’t think Aizawa was too happy about it either with the narrow look he gave me, now that I think about it. It’s best to try to avoid those situations in the future.
While in my mind, I didn’t notice my friend in front of me and bumped into them. Ryo doesn’t look too good. They have bigger eyebags than I’ve ever seen and are frowning with their arms crossed. “Glad to catch you. I stayed up all night waiting for you.”
“Ryo, whatever it is, you could have just texted or called me.”
They frown deeper. “I’ve been trying to stay happy for you, I really have. I and a few of the others really miss you hanging out with us. We’ll even blast your favorite song the whole day and night. Just… Please join us for a whole day once again.”
I knew what they were getting at. Damn it, guilt is really starting to rise in me. I desperately want to hang out with them, but that stupid dinner I’m pretty much forced to go to this Sunday… Ugh, why couldn’t they wait until next Sunday!? “I’m sorry, Ryo, but they want me to babysit the kids again this Sunday. I told them I’m not available next Sunday though! We can hang out then!”
Their frown goes deeper than ever seen by me. “Come on, Y/N! We haven’t had a day to hang out properly in like, what? Months? Every time you return you’re too tired to join us. Those damn kids can go ONE. DAY. without you taking care of them. Don’t you think you’ve done enough for them yet!? The only day we had was Sunday, but for the last few you’ve been stuck with them AGAIN. For how much you take care of them, the adults shouldn’t even HAVE them!”
I nearly snapped at them for the last thing they said. They seem angry though, so I try to not let it get to me too much, or it could end badly for both of us.
It’s easy to tell they all care for each other, and taking one of them away from their little family would be greatly unethical. What also holds me back is remembering Ryo doesn’t know the story of the kids, or that the adults are heroes and teachers. Man, I wish I could tell them. Surprised they haven’t made the connection themselves yet of at least figuring out they’re teachers. “Their jobs are highly demanding. Trust me, they’d much rather be with their kids if they could. I’ve seen how they act towards them.”
“That doesn’t mean shit. For all you know, it could just be a front!”
I shake my head. “Don’t think so. Pretty sure one of them would be incredibly bad at acting.”
They glare at me. “Whatever you think.” They then storm off, leaving more guilt to eat away at me. Ugh, I feel like crying out of frustration.
The mold-quirked male comes up to me when Ryo leaves. “Sorry about them. They’re kinda in a bad spot with the police right now. They got a little too drunk and spat at an officer yesterday.”
“Again? I thought they learned their lesson last time from me scolding them.”
“Sadly, no. I think they’re losing control since their impulse control is gone.”
Now I’m more annoyed than guilt-ridden. Ryo is a few years older than me. They shouldn’t be such a child about it and need my help when they decide to drink too much. “Thanks for informing me, uh… sorry, I don’t think you ever told me your name.”
His eyes widened in realization. “Oh! Right! Just call me by my first name, Tadao.”
First name basis off the bat is a little weird, but he says it, so sure. “Right! Tadao, Can you keep an eye on them for me still? I’m still rather busy as you might have noticed.”
He nods. “I can do that. Just do me a favor, and try to take it easy for yourself one of these days. You seem a little worn out yourself recently.”
I shrug. “It’s more of what’s happened lately, and what’s on my mind I think.”
He seems unsure about my answer if anything about his dark brown eyes is to go by. He just nods again though and goes to follow Ryo.
I push what just happened to the back of my mind and head towards their home again. After the Ferris Wheel yesterday, Hizashi gave me a key and told me to use it to enter their house from now on since they might be too busy to answer the door. They haven’t had trouble answering the door before, but I’ve learned by now to not question Hizashi’s sporadic way of mind. It doesn’t ease the discomfort that I feel like I’m intruding by randomly entering their house though.
I unlock the door and enter to see a rather concerned Eri hugging the new stuffed animal with the dog and the bunny. “Hey, Eri. What’s wrong?”
It looks like she’s torn from being happy to see me, to having great worry. “Dad’s sick.”
Aizawa’s sick? He was just fine yesterday. I think she calls Aizawa “dad” and Hizashi “daddy” if I’ve noticed correctly. Sometimes it’s really confusing having same-sex parents and trying to know which they’re referring to. “Is Aizawa okay?” I ask, just to be sure it’s the right one.
She nods.
Hitoshi comes into the living room. “He’ll be fine. It was a quirked villain from the ambush yesterday. It’s not contagious, but he’s not allowed to go to the school for twenty-four hours. The principal said he’d have the other teachers kick him out if he enters the school. Even Recovery Girl and no one wants to deal with her wrath.”
“Recovery… Girl?”
He looks like he wants to slap himself. “Right. Uh… She’s the healer after our fights basically.”
“The name makes sense then.”
He nods. “In his shape, he can’t take care of Eri though, so we didn’t tell you to not come.”
“Sounds good,” I smirk, though internally I’m cringing at the thought of being alone with the quiet man. “So, you guys want me to check in on him a few times today as well I’m guessing?”
He rubs the back of his neck. “If you wouldn’t mind, that is. It’s obviously not something you’re hired for.”
I shrug. “It should be fine. I don’t think he’ll be very demanding of me doing things for him if I know him well enough by now.”
Hitoshi smirks in reply to me. “He’s too stubborn to even take cough medicine.”
“I didn’t expect anything different.” Seems rather childish though for a full-grown man. Not like I’d ever say that to his face though.
Hizashi comes out of what must be their bedroom and sees me. “Heya, little lovesong! Did these two fill ya in already?”
Love… song? What’s with the sudden nickname? He always seems to call people “listeners” or whatever, so maybe it’s just a more friendly type of thing?
He also makes his arms go outstretched and looks at me expectantly. He wants me to hug him? Again, this is really sudden.
Screw it, it won’t hurt anything, right? It’s just a hug. I hug him.
He squeezes a little too tightly and wouldn’t let me go for an almost awkward amount of time, even when I try to pull away.
I pat his back to try to get him to let go. “That’s long enough I think. You might want to go before you and Hitoshi are late for school.”
He lets go. “Right! C’mon, little Hypno-man!”
“Little? I’m almost as tall as you.”
“But you’re not yet!” He shouts as he bolts out the door. Hitoshi quickly goes after him. It just leaves a silence between Eri and me. I shake my head at their antics and look at Eri. “Do you think they even left him a glass of water or something before taking off?”
“Daddy gave him water before. A long time ago.”
A long time ago probably means a few hours at most. I sigh. Better check on him then. I go towards the door of their bedroom and knock on it. He doesn’t answer. Oh well, he must not need anything that badly. No, I’m not just trying to stay away from him as much as possible.
I go to walk away, but Eri gently grabs my hand and leads me back to the bedroom door.
“Why do you keep staying away from dad?” she asks.
“What do you mean?” I ask, trying to play dumb. She doesn’t need to know about adult things yet, such as not everyone will like someone. That should be their job to teach her. “Toshi and daddy notice you avoid him. He’s not mean though!”
Do I really have to tell her? Her questioning eyes are begging me to answer.
“It’s just… I don’t think your dad likes me very much. There will always be people who don’t like a person for one reason or another. I don’t know why your dad doesn’t like me, but I respect his decision and want to let him keep his space.”
“But dad doesn’t hate you!” She huffs.
That's a surprise to me. “Unless he tells me otherwise, I’m going to keep believing he does. And honestly, your dad kinda scares me.”
She looks away. “He can be kinda mean sometimes,” she looks back at me. “But he really cares for people!”
A part of me doubts it, but another part can kind of see it, especially with how he acts with Eri and Hitoshi.
I decided to try changing the topic. “I’ll check him in a bit. He probably doesn’t want to be bothered right now. Let’s go play with your stuffed animals for now.” I try to walk away again.
Yet again, she grabs my hand and drags me to the door. She opens it without knocking and makes me enter as well. I noticed the rather large bed before anything. It couldn’t have been a king. Definitely something bigger than that. It has a light red and black blanket covering the whole bed, including the paler-than-usual man under it. His eyes are open and looking at us, but surprisingly, he’s not glaring. I thought he would be from an interrupted entry…
I notice the empty glass on the nightstand next to him. “I’ll get you more water.” I then grab the glass and go to the kitchen. Eri stayed in the bedroom. While filling the glass, one of the cats rubs their head against my leg. The white eyebrows make me know who it is instantly. “Hey, Oreo! Why don’t you come to help your dad?” I ask him and shut off the sink after the glass is nearly full.
I pick him up with my free arm and carry them back into the bedroom. He immediately jumps out of my arms and goes onto the bed. Aizawa almost seems to grow a weak smile at the sight of the cat. I set the glass down back on the nightstand.
“Thanks.” He rasps, catching my surprise. I really wasn’t expecting him to thank me for it. He didn’t strike me as the type. He drinks some of it.
It’s quiet between us, and I want to do nothing but leave him be before the awkwardness gets worse. Plus, he needs all the rest he can get to heal faster. Or is the quirk he was struck with a time-based thing regardless?
Eri suddenly gets up from sitting on the floor and tugs me so she could whisper in my ear. “Talk to him!”
“I don’t think he…” I lock eyes with Aizawa who is surprisingly still not asleep and sigh. I have no idea what to talk to him about. What do you talk about to someone who has hardly ever said a word to you?
I then remember the explosive kid and nearly being hit. It’s worth a shot bringing him up I guess. “Had a close call with one of your students yesterday. Don’t know his name, but he nearly blew up my face if Midoriya wasn’t there.”
Despite his state, his eyes widen a sufficient amount.
“Toshi isn’t happy with him.” Eri pipes up with her arms crossed.
“No harm was done though, right? At least he didn’t hit me,” I shiver remembering his expression. “I’d rather not be in the line of his wrath again though. It’s terrifying to the point I almost feel bad for anything he goes against.”
“Bakugou.” He’s able to hiss it with annoyance. Okay, glad he doesn’t seem annoyed with me the same way he is with that kid.
Bakugou? Isn’t that one of the kids Midoriya told me causes the most problems in his class? “So he must be one of the kids you like to call “problem children”. Midoriya told me you call him that as well. Don’t know how he’s one, but I know if you call him that, you have a really good reason, so I’m not going to comment on it.”
“You seem rather… connected with Midoriya.” He says “connected” like it leaves a bad taste in his mouth.
“Oh yeah! He’s a good kid. He comes around frequently with Togata,” His eyes narrow and my fond mention of Togata. He better not be getting the wrong idea, I don’t see either of them that way for obvious reasons. “It’s so great they’re able to wear dresses so comfortably. Well, Midoriya is still a bit uncomfortable, but we’ve been working on his self-esteem with Togata. I also still have to thank him for saving me from the Bakugou kid. I don’t think that could be fixed with him though from the feral energy he gives off.”
“Still have to-” he coughs. “Work on that then. He won’t be able to get anywhere if he keeps nearly injuring innocents.”
I smile at him. “I wish you the most luck with him then. You’re definitely going to need it.”
He replies with a slight nod and closes his eyes. Oreo climbs onto Aizawa’s chest and starts purring. He brings one of his arms out of the covers and pets Oreo. The cat’s purring gets louder in appreciation.
Eri lights up. “I’ll go get Mochi and Sundae!” She bolts out of the room. No! Come ba- and she’s gone.
For one stupid reason or another, I feel like confiding with him right now.
“You know, I hate to admit it, but I’m rather envious of you,” He quirks an eye open to look at me. “You have such a lovely family and a significant other that greatly cares about you. I can only hope to have a relationship like you and Hizashi in the future. It’s going to be so strange when I leave your family.”
His other eye opens to fully look at me. His eyes flash some sort of emotion I can’t read. Maybe I overstepped a boundary or said too much about myself? Shit…
“Uh… Sorry about that, Aizawa. That’s probably something stupid to go off about or to bother you with...”
“Shouta.”
“Huh?” I question, just to be sure I was correct in hearing him.
“Shouta. It’s-” he coughs again. “illogical for me to be the only one not called by my first name,” He looks at Oreo, then back at me. “You’re a part of our family. Even Oreo likes you. Sometimes not even I can pick him up.”
“A part of?... No, you’re thinking too much into it. I’m just a sitter that likes taking care of Hitoshi and Eri.”
He slightly shakes his head. “Same thing with Hitoshi. He’s never let anyone but us call him his first name. You’re different.”
I’m having a hard time accepting I’m special in any way. They must just be slightly delusional or something from having multiple bad sitters before. “I’m sure if you got a sitter similar to me, he’d have done the same thing with them.”
“Doubtful. For one, you’re the first that’s not us to not fear Hitoshi for his-” he coughs yet again. “quirk.”
Maybe I should make him stop talking so he can rest before more damage can possibly be done to his throat.
“I found Mochi!” Eri yells from somewhere outside of the room. She enters the bedroom, waddling like she did before with Mochi in her arms. He’s nearly being dragged on the floor, but only seems uninterested in helping her move. She seems to be having a slightly easier time than before carrying him. Not sure if he’s lost some weight, or if she’s gotten stronger. Maybe even both.
I laugh and go over to her to help her carry him. He’s still rather heavy. Heavy enough to cause a rather large dip in the bed when we place him on it. We place him down by Shouta’s feet. He doesn’t even move. Just flops onto his belly where he’s placed. I go over back by Shouta’s side, since that’s closer to the exit of the bedroom. I still feel like I’m intruding in their bedroom.
She immediately takes off again out of the room.
“Eri! I don’t think-” I’m interrupted by Shouta gently grabbing my hand. His hand is rather rough- probably calloused- and rather clammy. Most likely from him being ill. Uh… This is weird.
“It’s fine. The cats are a good distraction,” He lets it go before I can try to pull away. “That’s another thing. Even Eri bonded with you rather quickly. I’ve never seen her so happy to see someone besides us or Midoriya and Togata.”
I shrug. “It’s the previous sitters’ faults for not caring for her. She’s beyond adorable, and I honestly had the thought if something were to happen to her, I’d kill everyone in the room, then myself on my first day.”
He exhales his breath, almost like a chuckle. “Zashi says the same about you.”
I have no idea what to say to that. Oh! He must mean Hizashi would do the same thing for Eri, his mind is just mixed up on his words from his illness. Sounds a lot more logical than someone admitting they really like an adult they just met back then.
Eri comes in with the last and final cat, Sundae. He seems a little more uninterested in being in here than the other two. At least until Eri places him on the bed, and he sees the other two. He jumps onto Shouta’s stomach and tries to push Oreo off to take his spot on Shouta’s chest.
I can’t help but laugh. “You need a little help there?”
He grows the tiniest smile again. “No.” He pulls out his other arm from under the blanket and uses it to pet the other cat as well. That seems to do the trick as he stops trying to push Oreo off.
He coughs yet again. I feel rather bad he has to deal with it. “Would you like some tea maybe? It’s not cough medicine, but it might help your cough a bit more than the water is.”
He turns his head back towards us. His eyes again showing that unreadable emotion. “That's another thing. You’re caring. You’ve respected us the most. You didn’t even try pushing me to tolerate your presence, just accepted it.” Okay, that’s enough talking from you, you need to rest more. I swear, if he’s the type that suddenly has the urge to clean the house when sick… I’d do absolutely nothing. I obviously can’t do much against a man with years of grueling training, even when he’s sick. Might have Eri help me scold him though.
“I’ll get the tea. And do us both a favor, stop talking for now. It’s honestly great hearing you talk more for once, but now is really not the best time.”
“No promises.”
-----------------------------------------------------------------
The rest of the day was rather uneventful, other than checking up on him a few other times. With how frequently he talked, I started to wonder if he and Hizashi somehow swapped minds. He must be one of those odd people who seem to be more talkative when sick, as clearly found out.
Leaving their house, my body freezes at the familiar feeling of being watched. For a moment, I wonder about going back into their house and asking them to bring me to my home. No, I can’t do that to them. They've already had a long day.
… At least, that’s how I felt at first. But the farther I walked, the more I wished I did. Fuck, the feeling won’t. Leave. Taking out my phone, Hitoshi is the first one to come up in my contacts.
“Hey, Y/N! Fancy seeing you around here. Heading home, huh?” Asked a familiar voice behind me. That feeling was still around, but just knowing Tadao was with me helped. I turn to face him. His hair was… Glowing green? It made him look like a glowstick, and made me wonder how I’ve never seen his hair do this before. Never met him in the dark though.
He laughs at my expression. “Mold isn’t the only thing my body can absorb. It can also do the same with fungus. Found out years ago I can make my hair glow from the bioluminescent fungus. Cool, huh?”
I smile at him. “Definitely! But you know I now have to call you glowstick, right?”
He groans. “Man, was really hoping to escape that, but I guess it’s deserved, huh?”
“It really is your fault if you don’t naturally have it.”
Because of his glowing hair, it was easy to tell he rolls his eyes. “Anyway, wanna walk with me back to the apartments? Just got off of work myself today.”
“Well, it would make sense, wouldn’t it?”
“Yep.”
We start walking.
“How’s Ryo holding up?”
He sighs. “Not well. Really starting to question their mental state. They told me this morning they don’t even want to talk to you for a few days.”
My face quickly becomes a frown. “Seriously? They’re going to act like this now?”
He shrugs. “Try not to let it get to you. We both know they can be overdramatic at times.”
I sigh. “I hate that you’re right.”

New Honest Opinion? Part 1 is Deities!
Tumblr media
(I don’t know who made this image, credit to the creator)
Since both Deities and (Lost Canvas) Specters won with equal votes, I will be doing both before starting a new poll or writing Hades.  This means Deities come first, mostly because I’ve been asked specific characters.
The deities I will examine, after a thorough thinking session, are:
Athena, also examined as Saori Kido, from the classic series and Legend of Sanctuary
Poseidon, also examined as Julian Solo
Eris, from Evil Goddess Eris (gods, I hope that’s the right name)
Abel, from Legend of Crimson Youth
Lucifer, from Warriors of the Final Holy Battle (yeah, I know he’s not technically a god, but whatever, he’s divine enough for me)
And
Athena, also examined as Sasha, from Lost Canvas
Hades, also examined as Alone, from Lost Canvas
Thanatos and Hypnos, from Lost Canvas
I will not be writing honest opinions on Hades, Thanatos and Hypnos from the Hades Chapter, and I will not be writing an opinion on Athena from the Hades Chapter.  Those, alongside my opinions about Saints (Bronze, Silver and Gold) and Specters (both resurrected Saints and normal ones), will be coming in the Hades Honest Opinion.
I will also not be writing about Apollo from Heaven Chapter: Overture (that movie is a blur in my memory as of now), and about any deity that doesn’t appear in the animated show, even if it appears in the manga.  This series is not about manga characters and manga character arcs. Even if I keep getting pissed off when too much stuff gets changed between the two. It’s about the show, and the story of the show.
Thank you for keeping up with me!

Appearance: Due to her chaotic nature, Eris’ appearance can vary, ranging from age to race to even gender. However, she mainly uses two appearances, which are called “standard” and “mixed”.
Standard: Eris appears to be a pale woman with unkempt red hair with black streaks. She has a blue right eye as her left eye is completely white. She wears a black tank top with ripped blue jeans. Her black boots are blue and red laces. She has a blue and red bead necklace with a silver Symbol of Chaos attached to it.
Mixed: Eris appears to be a young woman that has olive skin with vitiligo which can appear and disappear at random. Her long frizzy hair is a mix of black, blonde, auburn, and gray. The ends of her hair always have spiraled. Her eyes can charge and mix colors. She wears a Greek white, black, blue and red dress with a gold and silver waistband. She wears golden wristbands, anklets, and earrings. She has a necklace with all of the colorful gemstones. She has a colorful cape. The colors changes and move like waves. Her choker necklace has a golden Symbol of Chaos.
Human: As a human, Eris, going as Paloma, appears as a Hispanic Latina woman. She wears a white tank top, black jacket, and black jeans with sandals. Her hair is short and curly.
Past: Before she expelled the Woes from her body, Eris appeared to be a gray-skinned woman with black tattoo symbols around her body. Her flowing black hair is long and eyes were completely black. She wears a pitch black dress with silver waistbands. Her wristbands are connected to chains that came from an unknown void hidden in her dress. Her diadem is silver with black and red beads. Her lips are painted red and she wears black eyeshadow.
Character: Eris is a very bubbly and happy-go-lucky woman. She enjoys freedom and happiness. Since becoming the Goddess of Chaos, Eris has become very creative and loving. She loves spending time with others and got the chance to learn more about them, especially mortals. Her pet Quarrel often goes everywhere she is. During her time as the Goddess of Strife, Eris was cold, spiteful, and ruthless. She also had immense grief and remorse for all the destruction she had caused.
Background: Eris is the youngest daughter of Nyx. As the daughter of Nyx, she can mature to be a personification to become a goddess. Since she has learned that she is the personification of Strife, she quickly abandoned her duties, causing the gods to get her oldest and favorite brother, Aether, to convince her to go back. Eris continues back to her duties but becomes hopeless and unfeeling. Her Strife often goes against her will and she was often seen shedding black tears. She used to work with Ares when it comes to war, leading some to believe that she was his sister. One day, after not being invited to Thetis and Peleus, her Strife forced her to go to the Golden Orchard, where the golden apples are made. She then carved “To the Most Beautiful” onto one of the apples and threw it to Athena, Hera, and Aphrodite. This led to the Judgement of Paris, which caused the Trojan War. After seeing the destruction and misery of the Trojan War, Eris decided to expel her Strife and become mortal in remorse. While she was able to expel her Strife, not only did she remain immortal but she also created the Woes. This caused her to gain Chaos, causing her to lose her internal balance. Her “children” were born as adults and helped with the Destruction of Olympus. The birth was so painful that Eris asked Hypnos to put her asleep so she could heal. Despite this, Eris is happy as she is no longer bound to causing despair. Since she gained Chaos, her powers and appearance become disorganized and she can teleport at random without knowing where she is. She tried to become a godparent but was rejected for her disdain of the Da Rules. She sees Ms. Carnival as what would happen if she continues to have Strife, causing her endless suffering, and fears for her sanity. Eris met Nero and his wife since her time as the Goddess of Strife. She was surprised that he can find love despite being the Dark Fairy of fear and nightmares. This got her thinking about if she herself can find happiness and love. She was very excited to be Heron and Zenaide since they are the first gods to be born after the Destruction. Since Nero took his role of Lil’ Summer Maiden’s caretaker, she decided to help him, mostly with Summer’s early years. She often plays with Summer and taught her how to teleport and to cause havoc (in a fun way). After the Destruction, the Woes have been looking the world for their “mother”. This is extremely difficult for them as Eris would appear and disappear at random.

Plot: Canyon Conquest - Epilogue
((The epilogue story is taking place, 5 days ago. After rescuing the Great Zapfish by the two agents that Marie recruited, Inkopolis is in peace once again. Now, where are they now after this?))
Eimie (mentioned) belongs to marchant-girls
Aqua (mentioned) belongs to askthesquidfamily
Agent 7 belongs to agent-7-at-your-service
Dawn was getting dressed in her room, preparing to go out to play some Turf Wars. After venturing through Octo Canyon, she's gotten better with her Heavy Splatling Deco. She was happy than Sheldon gave her back the weapon with a few new adjustments.
Once Dawn was finished, she steps out to the living room to see her parents: Cheryl and Raymond Sparks. Appearently, her dad has the day off from shipping bonuses for egg collectors at the docks. "I'm heading out, now to play!" She says, before giving them the biggest hugs ever.
"Be careful out there, sweetie! Make mama proud with your Splatling!" Cheryl couldn't help, but smile. Not only her daughter left the house some more, but she made friends with Sage from next door. Once Dawn left, she wraps her arms around her husband and smiles. "I can't believe my advice really works! I was worried that she would go back to watching supernatural TV shows, all night long."
Ray lets out a hearty chuckle. "Dawn wanted to have a fresh start in Inkoplis Square after a week. It brings a tear in my eye to see her grow up." He couldn't be any more happier to see his son and daughter, all grown up.
It was a 20 minute walk from her apartment to Inkopolis Square. She would take the bus, but she prefers walking by herself. Once she arrives the center of Inkopolis Square, she took a minute to breathe in the fresh summer air until fall comes. That means, she's going to be attending at a new high school. Suddenly, her relaxation was interrupted when she heard a loud slap from here. She turns to see a girl, leaving a red hand mark on Hanzo.
"Ugh! In your dreams, jerk!!" The random Inkling girl said, before storming off. She must've slapped poor Hanzo in the face from all of that flirting.
Hanzo winced from the stinging pain on his left cheek, where the red hand mark is placed. "Geez.. Even some of the pretty girl are fiesty in Square.. No matter, it was worth it.. Ow.." the hybrid held his cheek with his left palm for a brief moment until he notices Dawn, walking towards him.
"Another rejection, Hanz? Some things never change." She couldn't help but giggle at the hand mark on his face.
"Great to see you again, Dawn! I haven't heard from you in month! How ya been?" The pain subsides as he gave Dawn, a friendly hug. After Skyla's disbandment of the squad, Hanzo's been moving to another part of town with his mother. The Takoshi Grill family restaurant opened for business near the harbor of the Manta Maria.
Dawn returns the hug before letting go of him. It's been a few months since the squad team broke up. Dawn also notices the Skull Bandana around his neck. "Hanz, is that what I think it is..?"
"Oh, this?" Hanzo revealed the bandana to Dawn and smiles. "Scorpia gave her own bandana to me.. Now that she's attending college for 4 years.. She's not afraid to show her scar in public, thanks to Sky by her side.." Hanzo really missed his fellow team member, so much. She's the one who comforts him after another rejection. "She told me to take good care of it before she left.."
Dawn's smile fades, the moment she thinks about Scorpia. She can never forget the time she spent with her. She looked intimidating to Dawn at first, but it didn't take long for Dawn to open up to her. Her last moment with her was visiting an abandoned apartment in Bluefin Depot on last Halloween. She thought there was an actual ghost, but it was none other than Scopria's sister. ("Speaking of which, where is Azalea...? She hasn't called me since we returned the Great Zapfish...?") Not only she misses Scorpia, but she also worries about Azalea's absence.
"Dawn? Hey, Dawn? Are you alright? You're kinda spacing out.." Hanzo interrupts by waving a hand in front of her.
"H-Huh..?" Dawn snapped back to reality and stared at Hanzo. She was daydreaming about Azalea, she acts like she didn't see Hanzo in front of her. "Sorry about that.. I tend to do that.." Dawn giggled, rubbing the back of her head with one hand. She'll worry about Azalea, another time. First, she's planning on battling in Turf Wars but she's waiting on a certain someone. "That reminds me.. Remember when I told you about Sage, yesterday? He's coming to join us for some matches.. Of course, he'll be arriving late.."
"Yeah, you did mentioned me about that guy. What is he? Your boyfriend, or something?" Hanzo couldn't help, but smirk at her. Dawn has been thinking about Sage, the moment she arrived to the Square.
Dawn rolls her eyes and gave him, a playful jab on the arm. "Shaddup, Hanz.. We're just starting over to become friends after I was being such a prude since I moved here. Nothing more.." She wondered how Sage is doing after they saved the Great Zapfish, together.
Meanwhile in Octo Valley...
"Ugh.. Can we take a break now...?" Alexandra said, finished with mopping the floors from top to bottom. The two reformed Octolings were busy with sprucing up Tundra's battle dojo. The damage wasn't as extreme, but the entire dojo was a hot mess.
Tundra was sitting at the dining room table with Agent 7 and Eris. And of course, Fynn is also here to help out with the cleaning. "Alright, take 10! You too, Fynn!" The one-eyed Octoling called out the two of them from the dining room. She turns back to face Agent 7 with a smile. "So.. What can I do you for, Mr. Seven? I haven't heard from you in a while."
Agent 7 clears his throat, before he could explain the details. "I've come here to take your associate for some questioning. Not a lot, but it has something to do with Callie and Fynn's disappearance.. It appears that a couple of new recruits that Marie hired, restored the Great Zapfish again. Correct?"
Eris hung her her down in shame and defeat. She was responsible for the creation of the Hypno Chamber and the kidnapping of Fynn. "Yes.. I honestly, don't remember a thing, after that I woke up.. That was until Alex explained about my madness.. But, there's no point in resisting your request. I'll come with you to give you the answers, you need. Starting now, I'm no longer working for Lord Octavio."
Agent 7 was happy to hear Eris's response. "Splendid! It long take you that long. Give or take about 30 minutes of your time. We could take this outside, if you want."
Eris looks over to Alex and Fynn. The pink Inkling was talking about his plans for the future. He recently, quit his dishwashing job at Aqua's Diner for just one reason. He wanted to become a photographer and start his own photography business. His supervisor, Aqua Blau understood all of this and relieved him from his duties. As for Alexandra, she's not sure what to do after the Great Zapfish was restored.
The blue-ringed Octoling made her decision and stood up from her seat. She knows that everything will be fine. As long as Alex is safe and sound. "30 minutes, right?" She asked.
Agent 7 got up from his seat. He escorted her to the exit, while Tundra was sitting by herself. "Like I said, it won't take long. Just be honest with yourself and you're free to go." Before he opens the door, Agent 7 looks directly at Fynn. "Fynn. It's great to have you back.. For real, this time. Whoever these agents are, they've fought well enough to bring you back to reality." With one last smile, he stepped outside with Eris to talk.
"I'm planning on staying that way.. Give grandma Marie, my regards. Kay?" Fynn was leaning against the wall with Alex. He brought his guitar with him to play a few tunes during his break. He mostly plays his guitar during the fall season.
"What are you going to do now, Fynn? When this is over, I mean.." This is the first time that Alex said his own name, instead of "inkrat". That doesn't change her attitude towards Fynn.
Fynn continued playing the guitar while listening to her question. "My girl, Eimie is taking me to a bar called McWoomie's. I've never heard or been to this place, before.. Man... What have I been missing while I was gone..?" Sooner or later, Fynn will be new in Inkopolis Square after a week ago.
"And then what, huh? Are you going to 'ink her splat zones'? Or is that what you Inklings call it.." Alex smirks at Fynn. She often jokes around people who are already taken. She nudges him on his shoulder, but Tundra shuts it down by bonking her head with a rolled up newspaper. "Hey..!! I was pullin' his leg..!!" She cried.
"That question remains unanswered." Tundra shook her head in response. She sat down in the middle of the group. "Don't listen to her.. You've earned this night for yourself and your girlfriend. It won't hurt to try out this bar. Trust me, I've gotten wasted there once."
Ignoring Alex's nudging, he agrees with his person trainer. He hasn't taken Eimie out to dinner in a long time. Their last dinner was at their favorite restaurant, which involves a ton of shrimp. "Alright then. I guess, I'll eat over there. It has been a while.
The door opens while the three were chatting up a storm. Agent 7 steps in with a sobbing blue-ringed Octoling next to him. Eris kept apologizing for what she did to Fynn and Alex until the agent gives her a pat on the shoulder. "I-I'm... sorry.. I'm so very sorry..!!" Eris cried.
"Whoa, Eris... " Fynn was surprised by this. If it's about the kidnapping, he was over it. He couldn't even stay mad at her after they were reformed. "It's okay, man.. I know it must be hard, leaving the base for good and all.." Fynn hugs the sobbing Octoling. He wraps his arms around her torso to comfort her. "But this isn't your fault.. I told you, I'm over the whole kidnapping and brainwashing thing.. You need to just let go of your dark past and start anew. If I can do it, you and Alex can.. Can you do it for a friend..? You did say, we're friends. Right..?"
Eris was a bit surprised by the hug. No one has ever hugged the former commander. To her, it felt very nice. "O-Okay..." Eris hugged him back, tightly.
The entire went silent while Fynn was still comforting the blue-ringed Octoling. It felt like hours of embracing until they let go of each other. And then, Alex steps in a grabbed Eris's hand. "How about I take you to the guest bedroom.. You need some rest.." Alex escorted her upstairs, leaving the three cephalopods behind.
"Agent 7.." Fynn broke the silence as he got 7's attention. "What were you asking Eris about...? Does it have anything to do with the hypno chamber....?" Fynn couldn't bare to ignore the only place, he remembered last.
Agent 7 lets out a deep sigh and nods. "Yes... Truth is, Eris is the one who created the hypno chamber when Octavio developed the hypnoshades for all units.. She did a test on herself and it went well for Octavio but for her.... She was a different person..." Agent 7 takes off his hat. "That was when she was in anguish.."
"I see..." Maybe it follows up of Eris finding out about Agent 11's whereabouts. He doesn't want to think too much into it, now.
Tundra looks back to hear a light sob from the reformed blue-ringed Octling. She turns back to them, rubbing her head in response. "Well, carp.. I guess, I'll go upstairs to check on Eris.. I would ask Fynn for more work around the house, but he's done enough. You know you're way out, right?"
Agent 7 and Fynn both nodded. Fynn will be the one who can navigate their way out of Octo Valley and back in Inkopolis Plaza. Right now, it's fairly deserted. It used to be hip for 2 years until everyone moved to Inkopolis Square. "I'm sure, Fynn will take us back to the surface."
"I should go back home before it's time to go out tonight. Eimie said, she has something special to give me and I can't turn down an offer like this." Fynn checks the time. It's about 4 in the afternoon. "Yeah, I better get ready before the bar gets crowded. I'll text you later in the morning, teach." Fynn wastes no time to leave the dojo.
Agent 7 looks back to see Fynn being in such a hurry. He turns back to Tundra and tips his hat to her. "I must be off, then. Please comfort Eris as soon as possible. Farewell for now." With that said, he closed the door behind him.
As the two Inklings left the dojo, Tundra walked up the stairs to find Alex and Eris the the guest room. She entered the room to see Eris, sleeping peacefully in the room with Alex. The blue-ringed Octoling has calmed down for a bit and she decides to take a long nap. Alex purrs cutely in her sleep. She was so exhausted from cleaning, she had it sleep here with Eris for the time being.
"Cute." Tundra smiles at the two sleeping Octlings. She slowly closed the door to leave them in peace. Once she descended down the stairs, she takes off her eyepatch again. She sat down on the sofa with a cold beer on the table. She was happy that she finally got herself out of a jam.
Back in Inkopolis Square...
"You wanted to do what?" Hanzo asked, leaning closer to what Dawn has to say. They've been waiting for Sage for 20 minutes at the table.
"I wanted to form a squad. Skyla already quit the team with Scorpia and there's only two of us. It's about time, I take matters into my own hands and form one." Dawn has been doing well on her cousin's team. Also she saved Inkopolis from losing power. She just don't know where to start.
"Well, if you wanted to do this... We need like 2 players who has a B- rank or higher for tryouts. It could be anyone.." Hanzo wouldn't mind joining her newly formed team.
"Maybe it's someone I know for a while ..." While Dawn was thinking of a better ideal teammate, Sage appears in front of them. He arrived, 15 minutes late and he had to run to get to the Square. "Well, look who the Judd dragged in." Dawn smiles, looking at her next door neighbor.
"H-Hey... Sorry for the delay.. heh.. I had to see my brother, since he was leaving the hospital after a whole week.." Sage was running out of breath after he sprinted to the main entrance to Inkopolis Square. "I got some great news, Dawn! While Gale, Mareena, and Chilli were getting back from the hospital, I explained to him about my improvement in Ranked. After I recently showed my rank to my brother, he decides to add me as the fourth member since that no one else was recruited. I'm part of the Elemental Four, now!!" Sage recovered from the 30 minute run and he was so excited to start his first day as the new recruit.
Dawn was both surprised and extremely happy for Sage. Unfortunately, she was about to ask him to ask her new squad. "That's great, Sage! Your goal is finally coming true, at last! I'm proud of you, champ!" Dawn gives her a playful jab at his arm and smiled. For a split second, Dawn realized that she forgot to introduce him to Hanzo who was listening in one conversation. "Oh! I'd like for you to meet Hanzo. He's a friend of mine and a new recruit to my new team."
The Inktoling extends a hand to Sage, giving him a warm welcome. "Pleasure to make your aquaintance. Sage, was it? We've know each other since Sky Splash got started. Right now, we're searching 2 new recuits." Hanzo shakes his hand in response.
"It's great to meet you, Hanzo! And I hope you two find what you're looking for." Sage smiles and returns the enthusiastic handshake. They both let go after a few seconds. "To make up for my tardiness, how about we all eat at the Crust Bucket after some battles? I want to show you, how much I improved since then." After the rescue mission in Octo Canyon, he's changed into a different person.
"Better late than never, y'know." Dawn gets up from her seat. She stretches her arms to get ready for battle. Before she could go to the lobby, she wanted to ask him about something. "Hey, uh.. Sage?" Dawn asks, a bit shyly. She can act as tough as her big brother, but she's still a sweet after two years. "Can you help me with something? I was wondering if you can teach me how to use the Dualies. The thing is, I bought the Dapple Dualies and still sucked." She was fiddling with her short tentacles, before looking into Sage's eyes.
"Really? No one has ever asked me for any advice before.. It's like you're asking me out on a date or something." Sage joked, a bit until he cleared his throat. "Sure thing! Since school is starting next week, how about I tutor you after classes. So, how about it?"
After hearing Sage's response, Dawn's magenta eyes were sparkling like diamonds. "For eel?! Thank you, thank you!" In return, she surprised him with a hug. She was a bit shorter than him and her face was against his chest. After a few seconds of her embrace, she lets go of him and grins. "Alright, now can go out there and kick some ass!" Dawn was back to her spunky attitude and marched over to the Deca Tower lobby.
While Sage was standing still and his face blushing, Hanzo nudges at him. "You're lucky to have a nice girl like her. Make sure, you don't break her heart." Hanzo catches up to her, leaving Sage behind.
"H-Hey, wait up!" Sage can finally move, but he was still flushed from the suden hug. He's glad that she's getting along very well with him since their successful mission.
While the trio was entering the lobby to play, someone was listening from the corner near the lobby and the cafe where a certain sea urchin was killing time on the laptop. A dark violet vampire inkling was standing there and curious about this new team, Dawn was talking about. "2 new recruits, huh..? Interesting.." This could be a good idea to make new friends by joining a squad just like her older sister said to her. But for now, the lonely vampire squid sit back to her corner. She's not use to crowds, just yet.

THE PANTHEON / because we are mortal.
“ All shadows of clouds the sun cannot hide like the moon cannot stop oceanic tide; but a hidden star can still be smiling at night's black spell on darkness, beguiling. “
BASICS.
Deity: Hesperia ( Ἑσπερις ) - Goddess of dusk.
Mortal Identity: Letha - ‘ meaning - forgetful. ‘
Faceclaim: Liv Tyler.
BIOGRAPHY.
The Hesperides were the Goddess-nymphs of the evening and the golden light of sunsets, each one of them specifying in a certain kind of light. Hesperia’s was dusk -- the shadowy time in which night began to fall over the world. This was her time; the moments where she felt the most like herself and brimming with all that she could offer. That special moment in between day and night. She changed during the daytime, however, preferring to stick to the shade when the sun was at its highest peak. It seemed she was not made for the bright light of day where a great majority of the Gods and Goddesses dwelt.
The Hesperides were entrusted with the care of the tree of the golden apples which had been presented to the Goddess Hera by Gaia on her wedding day. They were assisted by a hundred-headed guardian dragon. Herakles was sent to fetch the apples as one of his twelve labors and, upon slaying the serpent, stole the precious fruit. Athena later returned them to the Hesperides. Hesperia felt even more faithful towards her job since the incident.
They were also the keepers of a lot of treasures belonging to various Gods. It was a very important task and one the Goddess of dusk always held close to her heart. She was not the most reliable where other matters were concerned, but this one would never go awry if it had anything to do with her.
Hesperia wasn’t the type to be outwardly hostile at the best of times, but Zeus casting them all down to earth because of his petty ways was honestly grinding her gears. She is quite upset by it all but never shows it; much preferring to sulk in corners with her head held high instead of facing anything. She is lucky earth can be quite pretty otherwise boredom would be taking place more often. Not very charismatic or social, she keeps to the corners in her days as a mortal.
CONNECTIONS.
Parents: Nyx & Erebos.
Siblings: Aether, Hemera, Moros, Apate, Dolos, Nemesis, the Keres, the Moirai, the Hesperides, Oizys, Momus, the Oneiroi, Hypnos, Thanatos, Philotes, Geras, Eris, Charon, Eleos.
Asclepius (Mason Stokely): In Hesperia’s eyes, he came out of nowhere. Maybe around the same time she was needing someone the most, not that she would ever admit that to herself. He is stormy and troubled and maybe that was the reason why she put herself out and saved him from Zeus in his time of need; a sort of lost cause to add to her belt. She already half-believes she might have made a mistake in saving him, thinking that a hope for a friend is just some silly girlish wish.
Phobetor (Anthony Firl): A brother. The two are rather similar; dwelling on the darker side of things yet not exactly terrifying as Gods themselves. They both have problems with communication and deciphering emotions, but this doesn’t mean they don’t want to help if something is wrong. Most of the time they share comfortable silence, reminding one another that someone does care.
